Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  1. Fiat currencies are failing, indicated by inflation, presenting terrible optics (malfeasance) for those in power.

Improving these optics is therefore a priority.

    • THEIR PLANS FOR US – PART 1

      September 25, 2024

In an exercise similar to those I ran at the DIA, I’d like to shed some light on the true enemy of the United States, their plan, their tactics, and the tools they have at their disposal.

A reality that I don’t need to explain, is that governments lie — a lot. Sometimes lies are necessary for things such as protecting troops on the field, but most of the time governments lie to hide their illegal and unconstitutional acts from the people they are supposedly serving.

The men who signed the Declaration of Independence believed that our nation’s sovereignty was not in the King, or in the Parliament, but in the people. That meant that we were to know just about everything about what our leaders were doing on our behalf and that they had no business knowing anything about how we lived our lives.

Today, that script has flipped. Our rulers believe our nation’s sovereignty is vested in them – they and the Administrative State, and all the corporate interests and elites who serve each other’s interests so well, and at the same time, they serve up lies to we the people and demand we digest them as facts.

None of this is news to the many who have followed our government over the past decades. Since COVID, tens of millions of Americans have realized what many “Conspiracy Theorists” have known to be true. We should be thrilled of the new converts to the cause of truth – people like Glenn Greenwald, Naomi Wolf and Jimmy Dore … but I am also deeply grateful for those who are not newcomers to the cause — rock solid American patriots who are:

Anti-communist, anti-collectivist, constitutionalists, pro-lifers, tenth amendment fans, and deeply committed Americans.

      While many tell us:

“Don’t attribute to malice what can be explained by stupidity.”

I tell you that for our government, the opposite is true:

We should never “attribute to stupidity what can be explained by the malice of our current leaders.”

Daniel 4:17 states that, “The Most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.”

There is too much evidence about our leaders to doubt that verse, and while I am quoting Scripture, I want to offer a “trigger warning” — not that you might be offended by what I say, but it is just possible you may need to defend yourself and your family against threats that you have never before faced.

Jesus said: “The one who has no sword must sell his cloak and buy one.” (Luke 22:36).

The history of the world is comprised of more conflict than it is of peace. So, what is the face of our enemy today, what are their plans, their tools? What will the upcoming months look like for our beloved country if Kamala were to be elected President, and the Democrats take the Senate?

Today’s Democrats are not like us. We believe that rights come from God, and government cannot take them away. Democrats believe that rights come from government, and they can take them from you whenever they want. Democrats have no respect for words such as “shall not be infringed.” We believe the Constitution means what it says.

They have no limiting principle to their quest to squash their political opponents. They want it all, and they want it now. They have already announced some of their agenda – and some of their tactics – and I’m sure this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Their slogan used to be One Man, One Vote. Now it is One Man, One Vote, One Time. That One Time might now be approximately 40 days away. If they take back the government in November, do not expect that free and open elections will continue, if they ever did. They won’t. Trust me on that.

Here is what they have in store for us. Let me offer my TOP TEN:

The Democrats in the Senate will abolish the filibuster rule that requires most bills to have 60 votes to pass the Senate. If they abolish the filibuster, only 50 Democrats plus the Vice President can pass any law they want. Note that, Senator Manchin of West Virginia will not be there to refuse to go along.

They will grant statehood to the District of Columbia and probably Puerto Rico. That gives them four more automatic Democratic votes and makes taking back control of the Senate near impossible.

Don’t think the Supreme Court will protect us. They will pack the Supreme Court, by expanding its number. There is nothing in the Constitution that requires there be only nine members of that court. And if they have just the Senate, every judge and justice will be a committed Leftist. When Republicans appoint judges, many suddenly turn left – they often turn out like David Souter, or Sandra Day O’Connor, or worse. Democrat judges never “grow in office.” Leftist Judges stay Leftists.

If you think the Department of Justice has been weaponized under Obama and Biden, you ain’t seen nothing yet, when you see how they will come after persons they consider a threat. Instead of worrying about whether President Trump will be jailed, consider when you will be jailed.

Social media companies will be pressured to act “responsibly” by deplatforming dissent. Democrats love censorship. For years they ordered private companies to do it for them, but soon they will establish that Ministry of Truth which they called the Disinformation Governance Board — that they set up and then were forced to close down. If they win the Presidency and the Senate, it will be back ordering social media to take down our voices. The Left’s ultimate goal is described as “cross-platform deplatforming.” If you are taken off one, you are taken off all. Once they get that, there goes freedom of speech.

All of the special treatment that has been given to churches and religious institutions will go. Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act has an exception so that religious organizations can hire people who follow the faith of the organization — that will be gone.

Every government school will be required to have boys shower with the girls, to destroy girls’ sports, and teach kids that they may have been born in the wrong bodies. Parents who resist will have their kids taken from them, like Governor Newsom in California and Governor Waltz in Minnesota.

The open border we now have will be made permanent. This is the dream of the United Nations — free migration across all borders. Then provide hotel rooms, cell phones and monthly credits for living expenses. Give them citizenship. Give them the right to vote. Treat them better than Americans, and make American citizens pay for it. Presto-Chango — the American people will be replaced with THE GREAT RELACEMENT (GREAT RESET) — which is something we are not allowed to even mention. And, as you know, whenever there is a subject we are not allowed to mention, it means we are over the target.

Public accommodation laws will be pushed so that every business and every professional will be challenged to serve their interests. A doctor who refuses to perform abortions or castrate young boys will lose his/her license. A lawyer who refuses to cater to the interests of the special interests will lose his/her license.

Kamala is already on record supporting a mandatory buy-back for “assault weapons.” That means – turn them in for $500 of taxpayer dollars, or you are a felon.

A few more agenda items include Mandatory Vaccines against the next pandemic that Dr. Fauci has planned for us, and the government’s attempt to De-Bank citizens. You will be a non-person, you’ll own nothing and you’ll be happy. England has already tried to do this to Nigel Farage.

Now let’s posit that the Democrats do not take the Senate. What could Kamala do all on her own? What tools will she single-handedly have at her disposal?

Next week’s newsletter: THEIR PLANS FOR US, PART II:

This nation has enacted scores of laws which provide Emergency Powers to government whenever the President declares a national emergency.

Does anyone think that there are any national emergencies currently in effect?

    • The Threat Posed by Our Caretaker Government

      September 29, 2024

President Biden’s recent snapping at his staff when he forgot to introduce Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi did nothing to restore confidence in his capability to serve. The good news was that when he met with Ukraine’s President Zelensky at the end of the week, at least he did not call him President Putin, as he did when they met in July.

With the exception of the White House staff and those out-of-touch Leftists who work at MSNBC, there is almost no one remaining in America who really believes that President Biden is functioning as our nation’s Commander-in-Chief. But, if not him, who? It doesn’t seem like it is Kamala. (She is sleep-walking toward the Presidency — as if she thought that she already “had it in the bag,” as if “the fix was in,” to mix metaphors.) Who else? Jill? Hillary? Bill? Barack? White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients — not exactly a household name. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan? White House Counsel Ed Siskel – another Obama retread? Secretary of State Antony Blinken? Or, most likely, a committee of all of the above and maybe a few more?

It would be my view that if Biden cannot do his job, he should be replaced — by the Vice President — not by a secret committee. That would be the Constitutional way — even though I know these people don’t hold much stock in the Constitution. Some may disagree, thinking that if Kamala were actually sworn in as President, it might cause more people to vote for her as the incumbent, but at least it would prevent her from telling us what she would do when she takes office — because she would be not only in office, but in the highest office.

What really threatens the nation is the reckless manner in which this anonymous committee is running the government, particularly in matters of foreign policy. There is no caution, no professionalism, and indeed, no maturity. Do they really think it wise to continue to provoke the country with the world’s largest store of nuclear warheads?

Based on my experience in government, those who are protected from accountability act increasingly irresponsibly. That seems to be what is happening here. Only days ago, it appeared that “our government” had authorized Zelensky to use our weapons, including ATACMS missles, to strike deep into Russia. President Putin made clear he would consider such an attack to come not from the Ukraine, but from the United States and NATO countries. Just yesterday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov passed on a similar warning at the United Nations. Have we backed off our reckless position? No one knows for sure.

If we truly have a caretaker committee running the government, it should act like a caretaker and preserve the status quo — not provoke a nuclear war. Whoever you are serving on that committee, do not think for one more minute that your anonymity will protect you from accountability for provoking a war. My strong suggestion to you is — STAND DOWN.

I am sick of the arrogance of many in our current government who think we are the only superpower in the world. I would rather they demonstrate a measure of humility before our entire nation is humbled.

There is no shame in not being able to serve out one’s term. This is certainly not the first time that a President has been unable to perform the duties of his office before his term ended. There are stories of James Madison being incapacitated in 1813. James Garfield lingered for 80 days after he was shot by an assassin in 1881. President Wilson suffered a stroke in 1919, and his duties were secretly assumed by his wife and staff. More recently President Eisenhower had a heart attack in 1955. During these periods, the only guidance we had was the Constitution’s succession clause, which simply states that the Vice President takes over in the event of a President’s “inability to discharge the Powers and Duties of the said Office.” Art. Sect. 1, cl. 6.

Without a legal method to determine when the President was unable to discharge his role, there was every reason that Vice Presidents did not rush to push aside the President. However, I thought we fixed this problem in 1967 when we ratified the 25th Amendment. Section 4 of that Amendment empowers the Vice President and a majority of the Cabinet to make a written declaration that the President is unable to serve, send it to Congress, and it becomes effective. There is another provision explaining how a President may resume office, and in the event of a dispute, the matter is left to Congress.

The 25th Amendment was written to replace a President incapable of serving, but just weeks ago it was put to a very different use. It was used to replace a candidate for President. To be sure, it was President Trump’s debate with Biden on June 27, 2024 that led to his removal, where Biden made amazing statements like “We finally beat Medicare.” However, the cabal that pushed him aside was led by highly skilled political operative, Nancy Pelosi. Politico made her sound like a mob boss:

“Nancy made clear that they could do this the easy way or the hard way,” said one Democrat familiar with private conversations who was granted anonymity to speak candidly. “She gave them three weeks of the easy way. It was about to be the hard way.”

It is beyond question that the Biden who “debated” Trump on June 27 was and is unfit to serve. He was not just unfit to be a candidate; he is unfit to serve as President. This is an exceedingly dangerous time. A combustible international landscape combined with massive domestic challenges place every American at grave risk. If he will not resign, Kamala and the Cabinet have a duty under the 25th Amendment to remove President Biden before the secret committee running our government blunders our nation into a war that no one can win.

  3. Daniel Penny’s Defense Rests with Huge Courtroom Point About ‘Victim’: Here’s What Cops Would Have Seen Running Neely’s Info

The defense rested Friday in the New York City trial of a Marine veteran in the death of a mentally ill homeless man without the defendant taking the stand, but with his attorneys making a vital point.

Daniel Penny, who stepped up in May 2023 when a deranged Jordan Neely began threatening fellow subway riders, declined testify in his own defense, according to the New York Post.

But jurors did hear from a defense witness who testified why Neely should never have been on that subway car in the first place.

According to the Post, Penny’s defense called New York court clerk Brian Kempf, who told the court that authorities had an open warrant for Neely’s arrest related to an assault conviction in 2021.

As part of a plea deal, the Post reported, Neely had agreed to participate in intensive outpatient therapy to avoid prison time for the conviction. But Neely left treatment, and a judge issued a warrant for his arrest.

That was in February 2023, according to Fox News. It was just two months before the fatal encounter on the Manhattan F train.

In other words, a police officer who encountered Neely engaged in any one of his customary criminal acts (he’d had 42 arrests between 2013 and 2021, according to Newsweek) could have run his name and found a court order to take him into custody.

That’s basically proof that Neely himself was a clear and present danger to the citizens of New York — and whatever other community he might find himself in.

Penny’s defense team was underscoring that point — and potentially communicating to jurors that Penny was acting on that fact when he placed Neely in a chokehold; that Penny was preventing the danger Neely presented from getting out of hand.

As usual with the high-profile Penny case, Friday’s developments brought a storm of commentary to social media:

With Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg more interested in his prosecution of former President (now President-elect) Donald Trump than putting away street criminals, the borough’s legal system has been in chaos since Bragg took office.

If Jordan Neely had not been free to terrorize passengers in that subway car on May 1, 2023, Daniel Penny would not have had to step in to stop him.

Penny would not be facing trial now. And Neely would likely still be alive

  4. Will Democrat Resistance To Mass Deportations Trigger Civil War? | Drew Hernandez

As President-elect Donald Trump and his newly appointed border czar, Tom Homan, prepare for historic and necessary mass deportations, Democrat opposition coalitions are forming across the United States including mayors and governors.

Governors and mayors from California, Colorado, Massachusetts, and Arizona have all signaled they will be resisting President Trump’s mass deportation operation, with some openly declaring they are willing to be jailed and mobilize citizens as an act of protest and resistance.

Will this lead to civil war scenarios?

Will Democrat leaders order police departments to oppose Trump’s military assets and special ICE teams on the ground during Mass Deportations in defense of illegal aliens?

Will ANTIFA and Soros-backed activist NGO groups get involved in resisting on the ground defending illegal alien apartment complexes?

    • WAYNE ROOT: President Trump, Here is How to Make Mass Deportation Great Again!
      thegatewaypundit.com/2024/11/wayne-root-president-trump-here-is-how-make/
      Nov. 25, 2024 12:40 pm

      By Wayne Allyn Root

This is a message for President Trump, Trump’s Border Czar Tom Homan and the entire Trump Homeland Security team.

I know you already have your plan. And I’m sure it’s brilliant. But two heads are better than one, and I have some creative ideas to add to the mix.

First, I’m on record on my TV and radio shows supporting and pushing for the world’s largest mass deportation. I’m 110% “all in.” We must send packing the 20+ million illegal alien invaders Biden, Border Czar Kamala and DHS Chief Mayorkas welcomed in.

      We have no choice.

This is “the Great Replacement Plan” to change the voting demographic of America. This is “the Cloward-Piven” plan to overwhelm the system, collapse the economy, and turn us into a socialist welfare state. America will never recover unless we send these 20 million illegal invaders packing.

But I’m also on record saying it won’t be easy.

Finding, rounding up and deporting 20+ million people in a big country is no easy feat. To the contrary, it could be one of the most complicated feats in world history.

The radical, communist-infiltrated Democrat Party will not go quietly. There will be mass protests- and they will almost certainly turn violent (like BLM).

And remember, the left has an army of 20 million illegal aliens- many of them violent criminals, gangbangers, and military-age males sent to America to destroy our country from within.

      Here is my solution.

Take some of it, or all of it, but it’s creative and worth a review. It is meant to counteract the issues above.

First, President Trump must announce on day one of his presidency, the end of welfare, food stamps, free healthcare and all other govt handouts for illegal aliens.

The point is, it’s difficult and expensive to round up 20 million illegal aliens. And it takes a tremendous number of ICE agents. But by ending all forms of welfare, food stamps and government handouts, many millions of illegals will choose to voluntarily leave (ie self deport). Not all, but enough to make our job a lot easier.

This is how we attack the “low hanging fruit” first. Millions of these illegal invaders came for the free government handouts. Take them away, they will self deport. Mission accomplished. And it didn’t cost us a dime in manpower.

Secondly, to solve the issue of the need for more ICE agents, President Trump should immediately terminate the $80 billion in the budget for 80,000 new IRS agents. Then convert all that money and manpower to 80,000 new ICE agents. Now we’ll have enough agents to deport millions of illegal invaders. Problem solved.

Third, ask all cities and states to declare who is officially a “Sanctuary City or state.” Democrat politicians will be proud to brag about how they will resist. Now we know all the traitors who need to be rounded up and arrested for treason and insurrection.

We also have the list to cut off all federal funding. Now give them an ultimatum. Either they comply with federal law, or their city or state loses all federal funding. Simple.

Fourth, I would apply “the low hanging fruit theory” to start this mass deportation. If a building was on fire, and innocent victims needed rescue, but some apartments were occupied by drug dealing gangbangers who were threatening to shoot at firemen, would the firemen evacuate everyone? Or only the good people who wanted to be evacuated? Of course, you’d pick the innocent victims who want to be rescued.

We should start this mass deportation only in red cities and red states that openly invite us in, and welcome ICE raids. In other words, start with the good guys…

      RED STATE AMERICA.

Let blue Democrat crapholes rot. Let all the rats run to blue cities, in blue states. Watch them drown in a sea of violent crime, drugs, theft, homelessness & massive debt from welfare. Let’s clean out the red cities and states- the portion of America who welcomes our help.

Trending: Dan Bongino Smokes Geraldo Rivera with a Brutal Reality Check After Rivera Announces He Would “Square Off” Against Bongino Inside a Bar (VIDEO)

Worry about the rest of blue state America later- after blue Sanctuary cities & states implode.

My plan serves as the model for how it can be done. We can safely deport millions just from red cities and states- with minimal trouble. It will go quickly and smoothly. Now we have proof it works. And proof that quality of life is better. Crime will be down, schools safer, budgets dramatically lowered, taxes cut.

And my plan makes blue cities and states cry “Uncle.” Without federal funding, and with exploding budgets, and exploding crime, let’s see how long they remain “Sanctuary cities.”

If nothing else, millions of Americans will move from blue cities and states to red cities and states. Just in time for the 2030 census- giving the GOP dozens of new electoral votes.

Speaking of the census, President Trump and the GOP Congress must pass a law preventing illegal aliens from being counted in the census. That will cut even more funding to blue cities and states, and make the electoral map even redder.

Finally, no one ever learns a lesson unless the guilty parties are severely punished. At this point, with proof of success in red states, if Democrat politicians and government bureaucrats still refuse to cooperate with this mass deportation, then this is the real insurrection.

Indict them, arrest them and charge them with dereliction of duty, abandonment of their citizens, insurrection and TREASON. Fly them to Guantanamo for mass trials. If convicted, sentence them to hard time.

After we make examples of the first round of traitors, I’m betting the rest will see things differently. The remaining Democrat politicians will see the light and choose to cooperate with ICE.

This plan is how we “MAKE MASS DEPORTATION GREAT AGAIN.”

  5. Biden Regime Discussed Giving Ukraine Nuclear Weapons

Joe Biden and his handlers are moving quickly to ignite World War III before Christmas and before President Trump can be inaugurated and bring peace to the region.

Last Sunday, Joe Biden’s regime approved Ukraine’s use of US-made long-range missiles to strike deep inside Russia.

The Washington Post reported that Biden will allow Ukraine to use a powerful American long-range weapon for strikes inside Russia, supposedly in response to North Korea’s recent aid to Russia in the form of thousands of troops. Ukraine will be specifically allowed to use the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) to hit targets inside Russia.

As The Post noted, ATACMS is a supersonic-guided missile system that can be used with either cluster munitions or conventional warheads. It has a maximum range of about 190 miles.

The Post elaborates that Ukraine is expected to focus on and around the Kursk region at first but could expand its targets.

On Tuesday, Ukraine fired six US-made long-range missiles inside Russia. The first Ukrainian strike targeted the border region of Bryansk in Russia.

According to BRICS News – Five missiles were shot down by S-400 & Pantsir AA systems last week, one was damaged, its fragments fell in the technical zone of a military facility, causing a fire, Russian Defense Ministry says.

Putin, following reports of Biden’s decision to give Ukraine permission to “long-range” missiles, approved the updated nuclear doctrine of the Russian Federation. As part of the new doctrine Russia spelled out that aggression against Russia and its allies by a non-nuclear country with the support of a nuclear state will be considered a joint attack.

On Wednesday morning Joe Biden approved antipersonnel land mines for Ukraine – undoing his previous policy.

On Thursday Russia unleashed the Oreshnik hypersonic missile on Ukraine.

Russian leader Putin told reporters after the strike, “No air system can intercept Russia’s new Oreshnik hypersonic ballistic missile.”

And Putin mentioned on Friday that Russia has supplies of the Oreshnik missiles for future strikes.

On Monday news broke that the US discussed giving Ukraine nuclear weapons in recent meetings.

It’s hard to believe you’re the good guys when you are passing out nukes to desperate regimes.

    Kyle Anzalone at Antiwar reported:

According to the New York Times, US and European officials have discussed a range of options they believe will deter Russia from taking more Ukrainian territory, including providing Kiev with nuclear weapons. The outlet reports that Western officials believe the Kremlin will not significantly escalate the war before Donald Trump is sworn in as President in January.

Following the election of Trump earlier this month, the US and its NATO allies began taking steps to rush weapons to Ukraine and give Kiev the ability to strike targets inside Russian territory with long-range weapons.

American officials who were briefed on the intelligence community’s assessments told the Times that weapons will not alter the challenging situation that Kiev is currently facing. “US spy agencies have assessed that speeding up the provisions of weapons, ammunition and matériel for Ukraine will do little to change the course of the war in the short term,” the Times reports.

Trending: Dan Bongino Smokes Geraldo Rivera with a Brutal Reality Check After Rivera Announces He Would “Square Off” Against Bongino Inside a Bar (VIDEO)

Desperate to bolster Ukraine’s standing in the war before the transition of power on January 20, the Biden administration is looking at a range of serious escalations. “US and European officials are discussing deterrence as a possible security guarantee for Ukraine, such as stockpiling a conventional arsenal sufficient to strike a punishing blow if Russia violates a cease-fire.” The article continues, “Several officials even suggested that Mr. Biden could return nuclear weapons to Ukraine that were taken from it after the fall of the Soviet Union.”

The Kremlin has dismissed reports of discussions between Britain and France on sending soldiers to Ukraine.
A report in Le Monde, the French newspaper, claimed Britain and France had “reactivated” talks over sending Western troops and private defence companies to Ukraine.
However, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman, said that the report did not “correspond with reality” and had hit resistance in most European capitals.
“There is no unanimity of opinion among Europeans on this matter but, of course, some hotheads appear,” he said.
Le Monde said “sensitive discussions, most of which are classified” had been relaunched in the wake of Donald Trump’s presidential victory and potential window of withdrawal for Kyiv support, citing “corroborating sources”.
Emmanuel Macron, the French president, sent shock waves through Europe in February when he refused to rule out sending “troops” to Ukraine, a move that Germany strongly opposes.
However, Le Monde said that the prospect was far from being “buried” and had been “revived in recent weeks with the visit to France of the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer during the Nov 11 ceremonies.”
Dmitry Peskov said the Le Monde reports did not ‘correspond with reality’

Sir Keir became the first Prime Minister to attend Armistice Day commemorations in France since Winston Churchill joined General Charles de Gaulle to mark the end of First World War hostilities.
According to Le Monde, a British military source said: “Discussions are under way between the UK and France on defence cooperation, particularly with a view to creating a hard core of allies in Europe, focusing on Ukraine and European security in the broad sense.”
On Saturday, Jean-Noël Barrot, the French foreign minister, called on the Western allies “not to set and express red lines” in their support for Ukraine. Asked about the possibility of sending French troops to the region, he said: “We are not ruling out any option.”
A diplomatic source said Mr Barrot’s comments simply reflected President Macron’s unchanged position that nothing should be ruled out in the name of “strategic ambiguity”.
While no “green light for sending conventional troops or private contractors” has been given by the Elysée or French defence ministry, Le Monde said “proposals have been on the table for several months”.
It cited one plan in which the state-controlled Défense Conseil International (DCI), the French defence ministry’s main operator for monitoring arms contracts and transferring related military intelligence, would train Ukrainian soldiers and maintain French military equipment inside Ukraine, rather than abroad. France currently trains Ukrainian troops at home and Poland.
The French newspaper said the DCI was approached by Babcock, its British counterpart already in Ukraine, to share its facilities. In May, Babcock announced that work was “underway” to set up a technical support site in Ukraine, “including the repair and overhaul of military vehicles”.

The collaboration proposal has not come to fruition to date, Le Monde added, but it would be consistent with the Biden administration’s decision to lift a ban on private military companies in Ukraine earlier this month.
US contractors can now operate there openly to maintain military equipment sent to Kyiv, whether from American or allied stocks, such as F-16s and Patriot air defence systems.
The reports come at a time when Ukraine has increased the use of long-range missiles. Joe Biden, the US president, gave Kyiv the green light to strike Russia with their ATMS ground-to-ground ballistic missiles earlier this month, which have a range of up to 300 kilometres.
Last week, a salvo of British-made Storm Shadows missiles hit a Russian command post in the Kursk region.
The strike caused Andrei Kelin, Moscow’s ambassador to the UK, to claim that Britain was now “directly involved” in the Ukraine war “because this firing cannot happen without Nato staff, British staff as well”.

France has remained tight-lipped about the use of the Scalp, their Storm Shadow equivalent. Speaking to the BBC, Mr Barrot reiterated his country’s position that Kyiv can only strike Russia in ‘“self-defence”. To date, no Scalp strike on a military target in Russian territory has been made public.
Reports of the potential involvement of Western troops come as Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian president, demanded “security guarantees” from his allies ahead of any peace negotiations.
Details of Trump’s “peace plan” for Ukraine were leaked earlier this month and envisage freezing the front line and creating an 800-mile demilitarized zone.
US forces would not be included in the peacekeeping mission nor fund it, according to the leaked document.
‘Let the Germans, British and French do it’
A Trump team official told the Wall Street Journal: “We can provide training and other support, but the gun barrel will be pointed at Europe.
“We are not sending the Americans to keep the peace in Ukraine. And we will not pay for it. Let the Polish people, Germans, British and French do it.”
Elie Tenenbaum, a researcher at the French Institute of International Relations, said Western troops could potentially be sent to Ukraine once a ceasefire had been signed “to guarantee the country’s security and Russia’s compliance”.
Positioned in eastern Ukraine, these troops would not be backed up by Nato’s Article 5, which obliges alliance countries to retaliate in the event of an attack, but by a currently undefined air and naval protection system.
“The aim would be to have advanced ‘hedgehog’ forces – also known as the tripwire model in English – responsible for enforcing a ceasefire, but also capable of preventing the relaunch of a large-scale offensive by Russia,” Mr Tenenbaum told Le Monde.
With the US withdrawing and Germany in political deadlock, “France and the United Kingdom, the only two nuclear powers in Europe, would therefore play a key role,” he said.
“The Baltic States, Poland and the Scandinavian countries also seem to be essential candidates.”

SEOUL, Nov. 25 (UPI) — Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko issued a warning to South Korea against supplying lethal aid to Ukraine, saying that the move would “fully destroy relations” between the two countries.

“Seoul must realize that the possible use of South Korean weapons to kill Russian citizens will fully destroy relations between our countries,” Rudenko told state news agency TASS Sunday. “Of course, we will respond in every way that we find necessary. It is unlikely that this will strengthen the security of the Republic of Korea itself.”

The Republic of Korea is the official name of South Korea.

Seoul has provided humanitarian and financial aid to Ukraine but has so far refrained from directly supplying weapons for Kyiv’s defense against a Russian invasion that began in Feb. 2022.

South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol said earlier this month, however, that Seoul would not rule out weapons support to Ukraine in the wake of North Korea deploying troops to Russia.

“As the North Korean military gains experience in modern warfare, it could become a serious problem for our security,” Yoon said at a press conference on Nov. 7.

“So we will change the support level from the previous humanitarian nature depending on the degree of involvement of the North Korean military. We will not rule out weapons support to Ukraine,” Yoon said.

Washington and Seoul estimate that roughly 11,000 North Korean troops have been dispatched to the Kursk region of southwest Russia, where Ukrainian forces have occupied hundreds of square miles since a surprise incursion in August.

The U.S. State Department has confirmed that the North’s troops had begun combat operations, while a Ukrainian media report over the weekend claimed that 500 North Korean soldiers were killed in an attack using British missiles.

RBC Ukraine, citing defense news publisher Global Defense Corp., reported Saturday that the soldiers were killed “as a result of the Storm Shadow missile strike on the Kursk region.”

South Korea’s National Intelligence Service told lawmakers last week that the North Korean troops have been assigned to Russia’s airborne brigade and marine corps and are undergoing training in tactics including the use of drones.

The NIS added that North Korea has sent additional long-range artillery systems to Russia, including 170mm self-propelled howitzers and 240mm multiple rocket launchers.

Moscow and Pyongyang have grown closer since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The two signed a comprehensive strategic partnership treaty in June, which includes a mutual defense clause that calls for mutual military assistance in the event either country is attacked.

South Korean officials have also raised concerns over Moscow sharing missile and nuclear technology with Pyongyang. Seoul’s military intelligence said earlier this month that North Korea’s new Hwasong-19 intercontinental ballistic missile, test-fired on Oct. 31, may have been developed with Russian technical assistance.

Last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that North Korea could deploy up to 100,000 troops to aid Moscow in its war against Kyiv.

From people of Dnepropetrovsk. Yuzhmash is no more, it simply ceased to exist after the visit of Oreshnik. It used to be a colossal plant which had its own bus routes. There is nothing left there, only dust. People are in shock. Apartment blocks in the vicinity of what used to be Yuzhmash are cracked. Here where it was, it was designed to continue to operate even in the nuclear war and nukes going off nearby.

Postol gives the best technical explanation of the physics of the missile having the range it does and that missile eventually spread 6 “packages” each of which contained 6 missiles or 36 missiles in total. He describes the physics why each of the 6 packages arrived at the same point but at different times. The other interesting aspect is there doesn’t appear to be any visible video evidence of an above ground explosive flash. Postol believes that due to the enormous kinetic energy the missiles penetrated deep into the ground and caused a huge underground explosion even if they didn’t carry an explosive warhead.

Thanks to Larch for translating this to us. My sources, very credible ones, also tell that it is apocalyptic.

        Hazel Strike Damage Report-Anecdotal, Unofficial

As residents of Dnepropetrovsk now tell us, there were practically no explosions, but the earth’s vibrations, like during an earthquake, were felt even a kilometer away from the plant — this was especially surprising: the explosions are almost inaudible, and the earth shudders.

In the morning, the territory of Yuzhmash was already tightly cordoned off, any detailed and significant information was blocked, and no one knew about what was happening at the plant. However, there is nothing secret that would not become clear — information began to arrive from Dnepropetrovsk. We have collected the maximum amount of information available to you, literally from crumbs, from the words of different people.

We are well aware that the degree of reliability of this information is not absolute, but here is the invoice that is “from there” today: the blow fell on the territory between workshops No. 7 and 8, in the area of turning and blacksmithing industries. All ground-level buildings and structures on this territory have been reduced to rubble, in some places-to small concrete rubble. There are no large craters, there are a dozen holes in the ground with a diameter of about two meters. Eyewitnesses describe the scene as creepy, apocalyptic. Security around the perimeter and on the territory withdraws all means of photo and video recording, even pens and notebooks are taken away. People tell us that “officials” who speak English, Polish, and French constantly arrive at the plant’s territory in tightly tinted minibuses. They say that unknown ammunition hit just those underground production facilities that Vladimir Zelensky boasted about, telling about the imminent appearance of some “formidable missile weapons”in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From the fragmentary conversations of rescuers, it seems that up to the 4th floor there is a zone of continuous destruction, below which rescuers have not yet been able to descend.

This is the information we have today from the scene of the event, the obvious absurdity and hyperbole of “classic witnesses” we tried to weed out, leaving only what we found similar to the truth.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on debt forgiveness for certain recruits on Saturday.
It allows for up to $96,000 in debt forgiveness for those who sign a minimum one-year contract to fight in Ukraine.
It comes amid soaring Russian combat losses.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law allowing debt forgiveness for certain troops who sign up to fight in Ukraine.

Putin on Saturday signed off on legislation that, from December 1, allows recruits who sign a minimum one-year contract to fight in the war forgiveness of up to 10 million rubles of debt arrears (around $96,000), Russia’s Interfax news agency reported.

The legislation applies where debt collection proceedings were opened before December 1, 2024, the report says.

Russia’s State Duma approved the bill earlier this week.

The new law, which also extends to the spouses of recruits, comes amid mounting Russian combat losses in Ukraine.

Responding to the news on X, Carl Bildt, cochair of the European Council on Foreign Relations Council and a former prime minister of Sweden, said that the move showed Russia’s attempts to replenish its losses were evidently becoming “more and more difficult.”

“In addition to huge lump sum of money offered there is now also debt write off not only for those enrolling but also for their families. It tells,” he wrote.

As Bildt alluded to, it would not be the first time Russia has attempted to use financial incentives to increase its troop numbers.

In July, Russia began offering bonuses of $22,000 to military recruits in Moscow.

The UK’s Chief of Defence Staff, Tony Radakin, said earlier this month that Russia had suffered a daily average of more than 1,500 killed or injured troops in October, its worth month of the conflict so far.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said in late October that Russian forces had suffered more than 600,000 wounded or killed since Russia launched its full-scale invasion in February 2022.

In a post on X on Saturday, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense shared figures from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces that put Russian combat losses since the start of the war at more than 729,000.

Russian forces were somewhat bolstered by the arrival of thousands of North Korean troops in October.

The latest legislation follows President Joe Biden’s decision to allow Ukraine to strike Russia with US-provided long-range missiles.

The US’s major policy shift comes as Biden scrambles to provide Ukraine with increased support ahead of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration in January.

Ukraine also reportedly fired British-made long-range Storm Shadow missiles at targets inside Russia for the first time this week.

  8. Lawmaker Introduces Bill Abolishing ATF
    By Tom Knighton | 8:30 AM | November 25, 2024
    AP Photo/Andrew Harnik

When former Rep. Matt Gaetz introduced a bill to abolish the ATF, it was mostly a lost cause, at best. At worst is was little more than grandstanding to appease his base. The bill would have been amazing to see pass, but it was never going to happen. Even if the House would pass it, it was unlikely to get a vote in the Democrat-controlled Senate.

So, it did what so many other bills do. It died on the vine.

In January, though, things are going to change in Congress. Not only does it look like Republicans will hold onto their control of the House, depending on how things go in a special election in Florida to fill Gaetz’s seat–and do we really think a district that would elect Gaetz would turn blue?–might even be in a little stronger position. They also have control of the Senate and the White House. In short, they should be able to do a lot of things they want to.

And now, another bill has been introduced that would end the ATF.

Rep. Eric Burlison (R-Mo.) announced this week that he plans to introduce legislation that would abolish the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

“In January, I will be filing the bill that Matt Gaetz sponsored to abolish the ATF. Why? Because we’re fighting for you,” Burlison said in a video posted on X.

The Missouri Republican co-sponsored Gaetz’s “Abolish the ATF Act” last year, which sought to eliminate the federal agency over concerns that its rulemaking related to firearms amounts to “big government overreach.”

“The ATF has been a disaster for the American people and our God-given Second Amendment rights,” he wrote on X. “It should absolutely be abolished.”

The agency faced criticism from gun-rights advocates last year when it attempted to use the National Firearms Act of 1934 – the first federal law to impose limitations on gun ownership – to implement a rule banning pistol braces.

That’s only part of the story, though.

Yeah, the pistol brace rule is a bad one and it outraged a lot of people, but that’s far from the only thing the ATF has pulled over the years. One of the worst was the time they showed up at someone’s door to check and see if the gun he just bought was still in his possession. It apparently wasn’t an isolated incident.

We’ve also got the ATF inspector taking photographs of an FFL holder’s records with a personal phone.

Now, couple those abuses with the fact that the ATF has declared something of a jihad–at the Biden administration’s direction, admittedly–on law-abiding gun dealers with paperwork errors, treating them like criminals who willfully falsified documents, and it’s not hard to see why a lot of people figure the ATF needs to go.

That said, I don’t think Burlison will have much better luck than Gaetz did.

For one thing, Republicans ran on crime. While gun owners and gun rights advocates are well aware of the ATF’s abuses, your average voter isn’t. Ending a federal law enforcement agency will be spun as reducing the ability to enforce federal laws. Any increase in crime or even an insufficient drop will likely be tagged with the abolition of the ATF.

And that’s if everyone in the GOP agrees, which isn’t necessarily true. Many may not care for what the ATF has been doing, but they figure reform is a better option.

But, hypothetically, let’s say every Republican is on board. That means it would pass, right?

    Nope.

Democrats still have enough numbers in the Senate to use the filibuster. While it was a great boon for gun rights, keeping a lot of measures off the table, now it’s time for the flip side of that.

So while I hope I’m wrong, I seriously doubt it.

Too bad, too, because ending the ATF would be absolutely glorious.

  9. Illegal Migrants Less Likely to Commit Crime? Guess Again.
    thegatewaypundit.com/2024/11/illegal-migrants-less-likely-commit-crime-guess-again/

    Real Clear Wire

In June, Victor Martinez-Hernandez was charged with the murder of Rachel Morin, a mother of five in Maryland. Police in Oklahoma tracked the accused repeat offender down with a sample of his DNA recovered from a Los Angeles home invasion in which a nine-year-old girl and her mother were assaulted. Police say he came to the U.S. illegally to escape prosecution for at least one other murder in his native El Salvador in December 2022.

“That should never have been allowed to happen,” said Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler, referring to the numerous missed red flags the case presented. His office apprehended Hernandez in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Like the member of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua sentenced to life in prison last week for the murder of Laken Riley in Georgia, Hernandez’s case is shining a light on the federal government’s failure to properly vet and keep track of lawless migrants.

These gaps have led to broad claims that illegal immigrants have less involvement with the criminal justice system than native-born Americans. A review of the available data, however, shows that the criminal records of millions of migrants – the ones President-elect Trump vows to prioritize for deportation – remain unknown due to illegal crossings, lax enforcement, and lax data collection by federal and “sanctuary” jurisdictions.

In addition, an analysis of the available statistics by RealClearInvestigations suggests that the crime rate of noncitizens is vastly understated. A separate RCI analysis based on estimates developed by the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Institute of Justice (NIJ) suggests that crime by illegal aliens who entered the U.S. by July 21, 2024 cost the country some $166.5 billion. These criminals disproportionately entered the U.S. during the Biden administration.

The problem begins with incomplete initial vetting by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The criminal histories of migrants from far-flung countries with often shoddy record-keeping are somewhat hard to determine. It is also impractical to hold each person until they have passed a rigorous background check. As a result, ICE routinely releases many illegals into the country on their own recognizance and then discovers afterward that many had criminal records in their home countries.

In response to a request from Republican Rep. Tony Gonzales of Texas, ICE reported this summer that it has released 7.4 million such “non-detained” noncitizens into the U.S. during the last four decades or so. ICE reports that these include 662,566 noncitizens with criminal histories – 435,719 individuals with criminal convictions in their home countries and another 226,847 with pending criminal charges. These precise figures, however, do not say whether the crimes of the latter group were committed in the accused’s home country or the U.S.

In the July 21 letter to Rep. Gonzales, ICE reported that 13,099 of these non-detained individuals have convictions for homicide, with 1,845 facing criminal homicide charges. Another 9,461 have convictions for sex offenses (not including assault or commercialized sex), and 2,659 face pending charges. The convictions include other crimes such as assault (62,231), robbery (10,031), sexual assault (15,811), weapons offenses (13,423), and dangerous drugs (56,533).

These figures are only suggestive of the extent of crime because they only list the most serious crime committed by each individual. A murderer, for example, who also committed a sex offense, is only counted as a murderer. It does not include the fact that millions of migrants are violating the law because of their presence in the U.S. It also does not account for the lawbreaking involved in working without proper authorization or the widespread use of stolen Social Security numbers to secure employment.

The 662,566 convicted and likely criminals make up 9% of the 7.4 million released noncitizens.

The statistics miss much of the relationship between crime and illegal aliens. Noncitizens in the “national docket data” either surrendered to border agents or were apprehended at the border. Those who avoid surrender likely have reasons to evade authorities, such as a criminal background. But there are others who avoided being caught and won’t be in these numbers. That group includes “gotaways” – individuals observed crossing the U.S. border illegally but not apprehended or turned back. With up to 38% of border agents shifted from monitoring to processing duties and 30% of surveillance cameras not functioning, millions more likely entered the U.S. undetected, potentially including the most dangerous individuals.

The Customs and Border Protection Agency estimates that some two million such “gotaways” have entered the country since 2021.

The data on migrants who have been processed also understates the problem. Criminals rarely commit just one crime. For example, from 1990 to 2002, in the 75 most populous U.S. counties, 70% of those convicted of a violent felony had a prior arrest, and 56% had a prior criminal conviction. In 2023 in Washington, D.C., the average homicide suspect had been arrested 11 times before committing a homicide. Data for 30 states shows that 60.1% of criminals released from prison in 2005 had been arrested again within two years, and 73.5% had been arrested within four years. The ICE data set provides a single entry for each individual.

Most violent crimes don’t result in an arrest, so looking at arrests or convictions in these other countries will underestimate whether illegal aliens are criminals. Across all U.S. cities in 2022, only 35.2% of violent crimes resulted in an arrest. While 50.6% of murders resulted in an arrest, just 24.1% of rapes produced an arrest, 22.7% of robberies, and 39.9% of aggravated assaults.

As the Laken Riley and Rachel Morin murder cases make clear, it is difficult to calculate all the victimization costs of crime to families and society.

Using tools developed by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ), RCI did estimate what is likely the bare minimum economic costs of illegal alien crime. It arrived at its estimated cost to victims in dollar terms by assuming that each of the 662,566 “non-detained” noncitizen offenders on ICE’s list committed just once in the U.S. the crime for which they have been previously accused.

Trending: Xi Jinping Sends Warning to Trump—and Makes Him Laugh

ICE presented Rep. Gonzales with numbers on 42 different types of crime, but the NIJ only calculated the cost to victims for eight types of crime. Professor Mark Cohen at Vanderbilt University, who co-authored the original NIJ report, updated the list with 15 of the crime categories reported by ICE: murder, sexual assault, sexual offenses, robbery, assault, arson, burglary, larceny, motor vehicle theft, weapon offenses, drugs, fraud, liquor offenses, gambling, and stolen property. Cohen’s updated numbers provide estimates for the damage from child abuse, drunk driving, and vandalism, but ICE did not collect numbers on those crimes.

NIJ’s estimated losses from crime victimization include: medical care/ambulances, mental health care, police/fire service costs, social/victim services, property loss/damage, reduced productivity (at work, home, and school), and nonmonetary losses (fear, pain, suffering, and lost quality of life).

Murders account for almost $153.8 billion of the $166.5 billion in estimated criminal victimization costs (a breakdown of the costs of crime for each type of crime is available here). Another $6 billion involves sexual assaults/offenses, and an additional $5.2 billion comes from sexual assaults and sexual offenses.

Half of the crimes these non-detained individuals commit don’t have cost estimates. These crimes include kidnapping, embezzlement, extortion, smuggling, traffic offenses, and weapon offenses.

These criminal illegal aliens entered the U.S. under multiple administrations, but the size of the problem was likely larger under the Biden administration. That isn’t just because so many more illegal aliens were entering the country. Under the Trump administration’s remain-in-Mexico policy, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) performed background checks on immigrants. That included contacting immigrants’ countries of origin.

ICE agents cannot access the same databases to check on the immigrants, and they don’t contact the immigrant’s home country. Plus, the massive inflow of immigrants has overwhelmed the system. The Deputy Director for ICE blames the “enormous workload” agents face, so they haven’t been able to do even the limited background checks they are doing. There are so many coming in that the government can’t house these immigrants until their backgrounds are properly checked.

ICE has been processing criminals as they enter the country, but without identifying them as criminals. So, under the Biden administration, they have simply been released into the country. Now, they are walking freely in the United States, and no one knows where they are.

As bad as these numbers are, the reality may be even worse. The Biden-Harris administration is accused of presenting the border crisis so that it does not look as bad as it is. In mid-September, retired San Diego Border Patrol Chief Aaron Heitk testified how the Biden administration ordered him not to publicize the arrests of illegal border crossers who they identified as having terrorist ties.

The American Immigration Council, which strongly opposes President-elect Donald Trump’s deportation policies, estimates that it could cost $88 billion to deport one million illegal immigrants. But if we accept its estimate and ignore the various government benefits that these individuals might be receiving, ICE’s number of 662,556 illegal criminal immigrants implies a cost of $58.3 billion to remove them – just over one-third of the conservative estimate given here of the cost of the crimes by these criminals.

The estimate of over $160 billion in costs from criminal illegal aliens is very likely an underestimate of the true costs. It assumes the average criminal coming into the country commits only one offense similar to what he committed in his home country. We are also not counting the costs of half of criminal illegal aliens.

Rest assured, to our beloved Jewish community and others, that no one will dare insult anyone in the UAE, where the law protects all. The security authorities in the UAE have identified the perpetrators of the murder of Zvi Kogan, a Moldovan-Israeli rabbi. Justice, law, and order—that is my country.

The security authorities revealed the identities of the three perpetrators, who hold Uzbek citizenship: Olimpi Toirovich (28 years old), Makhmudjon Abdurakhim (28 years old), and Azizbek Kamlovich (33 years old). This is the UAE: within a few hours, criminals are arrested, brought to justice, and, yes, for them, hell awaits.

So far, over 10,000 cases of antisemitism in the U.S., more than 6,000 in the U.K., and 2,000 in Australia, along with dozens of deaths due to antisemitism since October 7th, remain ignored and unresolved.

    Not in my country.
Here, there is zero tolerance for racism and antisemitism. We stand out – we stand for justice, peace, and the safety of all.

The official UAE statement says he was murdered so it was easy for media like the NYT to headline it as a murder.

Rabbi Kogan was not “found dead”, he was murdered. There is a disturbing pattern whereby some in the media — and particularly the @nytimes — downplay antisemitic acts.

It must be called out and addressed.
