Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  3. During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Wednesday Sen. Mazie Hirono (D) claimed the Supreme Court of the United States created the ability to own guns via Heller (2008).

    In video published by Forbes, Hirono began her opening remarks by referencing an earlier hearing in which the “entire panel” of witnesses agreed that “this nation is awash in guns.”

    She went on to stress the phrase “awash in guns” at least three more times, then said, “Meanwhile, the Supreme Court in various decisions, Heller was pretty much an astounding decision to me when suddenly, individual could, [under] the Second Amendment, individuals could own firearms.”

  6. A man killed himself with an explosive device outside of Brazil’s Supreme Federal Tribunal’s (STF) on Wednesday evening in what Brazilian police have described as a suicide attack.

    Brazilian police identified the man as Francisco Wanderley Luiz, a 59-year-old man and locksmith by trade colloquially referred to as “Tiu França.” Luiz unsuccessfully ran for councilor in the 2020 local elections as a candidate for the Liberal Party (PL).

    Israel could have America’s backing to annex the West Bank under a Trump administration, according to former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who President-elect Donald Trump has named to be his ambassador to Israel.

    After his selection was announced, Huckabee spoke to Israel’s Army Radio about his nomination, according to the Times of Israel.

    During the interview, he was asked if the West Bank — land formerly claimed by Jordan that Israel won during the 1967 Six-Day War — could be annexed by Israel.

    “Well, of course,” Huckabee said. “I won’t make the policy. I will carry out the policy of the president.”

    Citing Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and his action to move America’s embassy to Israel there, Huckabee noted no other president had been as helpful as Trump “in securing an understanding of the sovereignty of Israel.”

    “No one has done more than President Trump, and I fully expect that will continue,” Huckabee said.

    Huckabee would not rule out a role for Israel in rebuilding whatever emerges from the ruins of Gaza after the war against Hamas ends.

    “Well, I haven’t had time to process that,” he said. “I don’t want to make any comments about policy because those won’t be mine to make.”

    President Joe Biden has opposed annexing the West Bank and has endorsed the creation of a Palestinian state at some future date.

    Huckabee said, he was “a frequent visitor to Judea and Samaria,” using the Biblical term for the West Bank.

    “I also very much believe that the people of Israel deserve a secure and safe country, and anything I can do that will help accommodate, that is going to be a great privilege for me,” he said.

    During a 2015 visit to Israel, Huckabee noted, “It’s interesting to me that often our government has put more pressure on the Israeli governments to stop building bedrooms in their own neighborhoods than they put on Iran to stop building bombs,” according to the Times of Israel.

    Huckabee noted that Israel’s claim to the land goes back centuries.

    “If I came and said, ‘We need to end our occupation of Manhattan,’ I’m pretty sure that most Americans would find that laughable,” he said. “The Israelis have a strong connection to Judea and Samaria.”

    Huckabee has been a strong backer of Israel.

    “There’s really no such thing as a Palestinian,” he said in 2008, according to the New Yorker. “That’s been a political tool to try to force land away from Israel.”

    Huckabee also said labels are often used to obscure the truth.

    “There is no such thing as the West Bank,” Huckabee said in a 2017 visit to Israel, according to The New York Times.

    “There is is no such thing as settlements — they’re communities, they’re neighborhoods, they’re cities. There’s no such thing as an occupation,” he said.

    Kash Patel goes off on Deep State and ‘Government Gangsters” on the Glenn Beck Show.

    Kash Patel, one of the leading figures in discrediting the Democrats’ Russia Collusion Hoax and defending Trump, is reportedly being considered for the role of FBI Director in the next Trump Administration.

    It was previously reported that according to GOP sources, Kash Patel was rumored to be in consideration for the head of the CIA. However, President Trump announced on Tuesday that John Ratcliffe would be the new Director of the CIA.

    Still, as The Gateway Pundit reported, Patel is rumored to be in consideration for head of the FBI. GOP Sources have also independently confirmed this to The Gateway Pundit.

    Additionally, Congressman-elect Abe Hamadeh, when asked Wednesday if Kash Patel would have a place in the Trump Administration, told The Gateway Pundit, “He’ll do amazing at the FBI,” noting that “he’s been very loyal to President Trump since the first Russia Collusion Hoax.”

    Kash Patel’s impressive qualifications include several high-ranking positions in the intelligence and defense communities under President Trump.

    While running counter-terrorism for President Trump, the president oriented counter-terrorism efforts to wipe out ISIS senior leadership and other key operatives. He further oversaw the resuing of American hostages AND detainees being rescued and returned to the United States.

    As a terrorism prosecutor, Kash Patel prosecuted ISIS, Al-Qa’ida, and other terrorist networks, and he was the lead prosecutor for the World Cup bombings in Uganda that killed an American and 76 people.

    And while Kash Patel was the Defense Department Chief of Staff, the DoD ended forever wars.

    If Kash Patel becomes the Director of the FBI, we can surely restore the law enforcement organization to its true purpose of investigating and prosecuting real criminals and criminal organizations and end the weaponization of the FBI to target innocent Americans.

    He has been one of the leading voices against the Deep State’s weaponization of government, corruption, and conspiracies, including Russiagate, the Trump investigations, January 6, and more. He recounts all of it in his recent book, “Government Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth, and the Battle for Our Democracy.”

    Last June, Patel told The Gateway Pundit they were trying to “bury” his book and prevent its release ”because the book exposes, by name and agency, every corrupt actor I encountered, puts them on blast, and tells the world how we remove them from power and restore our agencies to work for the American people.”

      Sundance will always support PT’s decisions with his characteristic logic, rationalizing choices that don’t make sense. Flashy media personalities appeal to certain New Yorkers: think Anthony Scaramucci and Omarosa Manigault. Or those who “look the part”: John Kelly and James Mattis, deploying a military facade to subvert their own chain of command.

      Judge Napolitano – another unsavory ‘old friend’ like Michael Cohen or Roger Stone – said PT had told him he was considering him as a nominee for the Supreme Court. So I dug into the background of each of his regular guests on Judging Freedom.

(Richard: I haven’t been following the Perry trial much but today I realized that the Perry trial [if he gets off and he may] can be used by the left for a new series of riots that will take place during and after the Inauguration of President Trump. I know witness have said that the victim was breathing when the police arrived but none of them were willing to give Mouth to Mouth because of fear of HIV. A trial ending shortly before the inauguration or possibly a month before that says Perry did nothing wrong will be the perfect excuse for massive rioting.

    A Marine veteran who served alongside New York City subway chokehold suspect Daniel Penny took the stand Thursday during his trial on manslaughter charges in the death of Jordan Neely.

    Joseph Caballer, a former Marine sergeant, said he had given Penny martial arts instruction and explained a “blood choke” designed to knock out an aggressor in just a few seconds with pressure to the carotid artery – which he said is never held more than 5 seconds in training. That’s different from an “air choke,” which applies pressure to the aggressor’s Adam’s apple and can be held for minutes.

    Prosecutors showed a picture of the subway chokehold and Caballer said it looked like an attempted figure-four blood choke. However, Caballer said Penny’s arm “could be” putting pressure on Neely’s trachea instead.
