This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

    California’s Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill to hold Big Oil accountable – only it will lead to gas shortages and price hikes.

    Big Oil “has been screwing you for decades,” Newsom said.

    “Price spikes have cost Californians billions of dollars over the years, and we’re not waiting around for the industry to do the right thing,” Newsom said.

    “We’re taking action to prevent these price spikes and save consumers money at the pump,” he said.

    The bill passed the California Assembly last week with a 41-16 vote. Many Democrats did not vote and four voted against the radical measure.

    The measure will force local refineries to stockpile fuel and if they don’t follow the new regulations they can be fined up to $1 million PER DAY.

    The heavy fines will inevitably be passed down to the consumer and cause gas prices to spike.

    “ABX2-1 authored by Assemblymembers Gregg Hart and Cecilia Aguiar-Curry and Senator Nancy Skinner — allows the state to require oil refiners to maintain a minimum inventory of fuel to avoid supply shortages that create higher gasoline prices for consumers and higher profits for the industry. It also authorizes the California Energy Commission to require refiners to plan for resupply during refiner maintenance outages,” the governor’s office said.

    Refineries announced they are leaving California because of Newsom’s new bill.

    Phillips 66 refinery announced they are ceasing operations in Los Angeles because of Newsom’s bill.

    “With the long-term sustainability of our Los Angeles Refinery uncertain and affected by market dynamics, we are working with leading land development firms to evaluate the future use of our unique and strategically located properties near the Port of Los Angeles,” said Mark Lashier, the chairman and CEO of Phillips 66.

    Chevron is also moving its headquarters from California to Houston, Texas thanks to Newsom.

    Newsom still found a way to blame Trump for high gas prices in California.

    Mail-in ballots are being requested, by the thousands, in locations which are undeliverable – in Wisconsin.

    If nobody is there, who the hell is requesting that ballot?

    This is the heart of the 2024 STEAL – and it is happening in plain sight, for the world to see.

    Below is a list from our colleague, Peter Bernegger of locations where a mail-in ballot was REQUESTED recently in Wisconsin!

    We published this on StopBogusBallots.com.

    Peter and the team bought the official voter lists in Wisconsin – beginning in March – until several days ago. Those lists are about $12,000 each – so this is a very expensive exercise.

    Registrants on the list: 744,076.

    Peter and the team removed the inactive voters bringing the number down to 380,050 and here is what he found:

    2,777 permanently moved out of state

    2,325 address not deliverable and not found in the USPS database

    7,571 incorrect or missing secondary (missing APT #5 for example) 513 door not accessible

    976 single receptacle drop for mail for all residents at same physical address

    97 No secure location at all to leave mail

    13 Registered to a US Post Office street address

    1,251 vacant for more than 90 days (person not rec. mail for more than 90 days, not necessarily an empty house)

    31 Registered to a commercial address such as a UPS, Fedex store

    3,408 Duplicates

    275 Moved but left no forwarding address

    168 At high rise building but not housing

    The question is who is requesting ballots for people who have moved?

    Who is requesting duplicate ballots be sent to an address?

    Who is requesting a ballot to an undeliverable address?

    Welcome to the 2024 steal – you are watching the work of Leftist NGOs, operating in unison – with no central control – to assign ballots to ineligible addresses.

    If you are watching the polling, watching Trump skate ahead of the hapless Kamala, remember that 1% in Wisconsin is about 30,000 votes. We already see that many queuing up to get ballots for locations where people cannot receive them.

    Those figures will grow dramatically – voting just started!

    Those ballots from BS addresses aren’t going to break 70% for Kamala – closer to 100%.

    We are at the start of early voting – as in the first couple of days.

    The big stuff happens later – when the ballots come in from printer facilities that never went through the mail process – and for every person on this list who requested a ballot and did not vote it – those printed ballots await.

    Current election regulations were written for in-person voting – it was fine if your address was a Walmart if you showed up and voted in person. Nobody looked much at whether your address was a deliverable one for a ballot – because nobody mailed you one.

    When mail-in ballots exploded in 2020, they overwhelmed the system.

    If you lived at a Walmart, and the government sent you a ballot, and it could not get to you – that ballot lived in the system with no chain of custody. Multiply that by 500,000 in each swing state, 1.4 million in Pennsylvania – and you see the problem clearly.

    The national voter integrity orgs said the solution was to “clean the voter rolls.” It sounded good but they could not get it done – there are too many layers of election law making that virtually impossible.

    Add the hundreds of NGOs working for the Leftists, each of whom may deploy from $10 million a year to $1 billion a year – all around fattening up voter rolls – the problem comes into focus.

    So in 2024 the hidden story – for about 15 more days – is legit mail-in ballots, to legit people at legit addresses – but the people are not there – or never were there.

    Those ballots are harvested by the pros – the NGOs who monitor the voter lists and know if that guy who moved to Vermont votes or not – and when he doesn’t, they vote for him.

    Republicans are registering new voters by the hundreds – while Leftists are manufacturing ballots by the hundred thousands.

    National voter integrity orgs scam you about cleaning voter rolls and lawsuits that go nowhere – but the big opportunity to stop voter roll interference is to stop mail-in ballots to ineligible or preposterous addresses.

    It’s now too late to stop those BS ballots from going out in many states – but it is morning in ballot land to compare cast ballots – waiting to be counted – with property rolls, change of address rolls or even previous copies of the voter roll – and show them to be ineligible votes.

    You can read about nonsensical algorithms which could never prove a thing to a public forum and you can watch the RNC’s 200,000 poll watchers stand by idly as these bogus ballots go through the system.

    With his electric cars and rockets, Elon Musk was once a very well-liked figure in liberal circles.

    But his work for free-speech on social platform X and his ‘all-in’ support for Donald J. Trump’s Presidential campaign have put him in the crosshairs of the planetary leftist hatred.

    Now the leftist German Magazine Der Spiegel has crystalized this hatred in a strong cover story: ‘Elon Musk, Enemy Number Two’. Elon Musk: Staatsfeind Nummer Zwei – DER SPIEGEL (behind a paywall).

    This took the internet by Storm, especially the X social media platform.

    On Sunday (20), during town hall discussion in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Musk commented on the ‘vitriolic hatred’ by the left, and said that he planned to upgrade his security after the Der Spiegel quite literal hit-piece.

    On his event in support of Donald Trump’s candidacy, the talked about the heightened political atmosphere.

    Fox News reported:

    “He noted he was recently on the cover of Der Spiegel, which labeled him ‘Public Enemy No. 2’ – the first being Trump.

    ‘I’m like, enemy number 2 of what? Uh, democracy? I mean I’m pro-democracy. I’m literally trying to uphold the Constitution and ensure we have a free and fair election’, Musk said, eliciting applause from the crowd.

    […] ‘I’m definitely upgrading my security. Guess I better cancel that open-car parade’, Musk said, a seeming nod to the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy.”

    As one would expect, Musk said he was a “little shook” by the ‘level of vitriolic hatred on the left’.

    “’They claim they’re tolerant. And yet, they’re incredibly intolerant and spewing hate’, Musk said. ‘Whereas on the right I see people who tend to regard people on the left as, well, misguided. But they don’t hate them… but the amount of hate coming from the left is like, wow, next level’.”

    It was indeed this unbridled leftist hatred that took the billionaire to embark on the support for Donald Trump, after the July assassination attempt of the MAGA leader during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

    By September, a second attempt on Trump’s life while he was playing a round of golf at his club in West Palm Beach, only solidified Musk’s commitment.

    Now Musk is out in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania to rally support for Trump and to encourage people to vote.

    Even as billionaires are still flying everywhere, anywhere, in private jets and taking private yachts to the most luxurious vacation spots in the world–more commercial flights are being cancelled or delayed, lines are longer pretty much everywhere, drugstores are closing across the country, the price of restaurant food is much higher, the quality lower–and if you need the food to be delivered, the service charges exponentially increase the cost.

    Closer to home: Random people are being sucker-punched by strangers in my once fair city; Gangs of six in beat-downs are setting upon vulnerable elders. This just happened a few blocks away from where I live–and yes, the gang was composed of black teenage boys. (I know that one is not supposed to describe the perpetrators, especially if they are black or Muslim, but let’s get real: It is black American civilians who remain the first victims of black-on-black violence. Hiding that fact helps no one–and, by the way, is such viciousness justified if the victims are white? Is it only payback or a form of reparations for the institution of slavery, which last existed a century and a half before we were all born?

    Let’s not forget the rise in anti-Jewish verbal and physical attacks–the predictable result of fifty years of genocidally-oriented Big Lies about the Jews and Israel. But it is bigger than my own city, bigger than my own country, far bigger than a single continent.

    To be clear: We are all in the fight of our lives, it is Barbarism versus Civilization, Islamist terrorism versus Western post-Enlightenment values. The gender identity zombies are erasing womankind and all is definitely not well in the world.

    Putin is still decimating and trying to occupy Ukraine; Iran is still trying to exterminate Jewish Israel; Islamists in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia are persecuting and murdering their own women, gays, and dissidents–as well as all the infidels they can get their hands on. China has deeply infiltrated the West, and Arab oil money has indoctrinated the youth in the West.

    No one has ever stopped any of this.

    As for myself? I have nowhere to call home.

    My college was Bard, I am grateful that I was a scholarship kid there, but in all the years since I’ve graduated, my work has barely been acknowledged. I was a radical feminist before that became chic; then I was a politically incorrect feminist when “queer,” race, and transgender issues trumped sex-based issues. What this means for me personally is that I was never asked, nor could I ever offer to mentor any of their students or ask for interns–my work was–and is now even more seen as anti-“woke,” more conservative than is acceptable. My support for Israel is absolutely verboten.

    I obtained my Ph.D. from the New School–but that seems to have become an antisemitic/anti-Zionist hotbed of madness. Their celebrations of 10/7, their anti-Israel pro-Hamas encampments, filled me with shame and I wanted to return my degree but to who? None of the deans or faculty that I once knew are there, most have died.

    Then there’s Duke University, where my archives reside. They, too, have become quite “woke,” and I doubt there’s an anti-Islamist Muslim or a pro-Israel Jew on their staff or among their student body that would want to be mentored by me. If I’m wrong–forgive me and contact me at once.

    Yesterday, two Israeli feminists visited me. I knew one in the early 1970s and again in the early 1980s. We knew and remembered many great Israeli feminists, most of whom have died, some of whom are still with us. They came to explain how awful Bibi is–and to make sure that I would be voting for Kamala. Many hours later, when they left, I had walked them around the world with a sixty-year aerial view and they were quieter, more thoughtful, as was I.

    These staunchly anti-religion, anti-Bibi Israelis are not my enemies. I was filled with love for them–just as I love their opponents. They made good points. They lacked vital information. Above all, they are exhausted, worn down and out by the long war, the many deaths, the incessant barrage of missiles, the fact that, according to them, half of Israelis do not have or cannot get to bomb shelters on time.

    Of course, they blamed this on the Israeli government not on genocidal Iran and their terrorist proxies. They actually believed that Biden-Harris were protecting Israel militarily. They gave me a “bring them home” medallion. Softly, gently, I said that it should really read “Release them now,” and should be addressed to their Hamas captors. They had not thought of this.

    I am treading dangerous waters now. Love for my people, love for Israel, love for my opponents as well as for my allies will kill me. Love can kill. After they left, I felt torn apart. I will speak a bit more softly to–and about those with whom I most profoundly disagree and try to remember that most people do not have all the information they need. For example, my feminist Israelis did not seem to understand the nature, existence, or pervasiveness of antisemitism. I first discovered that this was so back in 1980 and I see that in the last 40-odd years most have not caught up.

    In fact, recently, an academic psychoanalyst invited me to lecture in Israel, but not to discuss trauma, not even rape trauma. Rather, he wanted to understand global antisemitism. I sent podcasts, media interviews, and articles on this very subject. I was surprised by his request. Pleased, actually. But it really is so late in the day.

    The Israeli feminists and I stood on common ground when they asked me about the American feminist silence about 10/7. That got through to them: It haunted them, as well it should. I said that I doubt I could ever again work with such silent feminists. No, I do not need to “hate” them–but we no longer share the same reality. They exist in the past.

  11. Travel Advisory Shows Democrat Border Policy Endangers America

    “A small village near Cincinnati, Ohio, is struggling with an influx of Mauritanian illegal immigrants, with officials warning that they are facing an economic shortfall as a result and that the quality of life is being affected,” Fox News reported Saturday. “A Washington Post analysis in June found that over 15,000 residents from Mauritania came to the U.S. last year, a 2,800% increase over 2022, when just 543 arrived. Lockland, a village in the southwest of Ohio of about 3,500 people, has seen what it says is a large number of arrivals. The Post reported that there were 2,700 who settled in Ohio in 2023, with about half going to nearby Cincinnati.”

    The decision to pick “nearby Cincinnati” can hardly be considered coincidental. The city is dominated by the Democrat political machine, and as its national leadership through Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has revealed, the goal is to bring in foreign nationals from all over the world and “get a path to citizenship for all 11 million, or however many undocumented, there are here.”
    The concerns from the Fox News story are economic, with references to overcrowded housing, unemployability of the new arrivals, and losses of tax revenues. It’s overlooking a greater immediate danger of government “settling” illegal alien populations in our midst: There’s no real way to vet them (or even most “legal” refugees), and that’s long been known, despite longstanding Democrat lies.

    “I am very disappointed in the xenophobic response from governors across the country today who vowed to keep Syrian families who have passed rigorous background checks from entering their states,” then-VA Governor Terry McAuliffe complained in 2015.

    And the source for those “rigorous background checks”? Where do the records come from, and what audits have been performed to ensure system integrity and that they are comprehensive and uncompromised? The Assad regime’s filing system? Something else? Baksheesh isn’t a way of life with administrators there? And no one else has any interest in falsifying or just plain omitting records, assuming any exist in the first place? (Note he was engaging in this deliberate deception at the same time a leader of New York City’s Syrian community was claiming “ISIS is already in America.”)
    So, what does that have to do with unvetted Mauritanians, most of whom were able to make it to the Mexican border via a route opened by Nicaragua (a Marxist tyranny hostile to United States interests)?

    “Reconsider travel to Mauritania due to crime and terrorism,” the State Department warns in its latest Travel Advisory, assigning the northwest African Islamic Republic a Level 3 (1= Exercise normal precautions, 2= Exercise increased caution, 3= Reconsider travel, 4= Do not travel).

    “Violent crimes, such as mugging, armed robbery, and assault, are common. Local police lack the resources to respond effectively to serious crimes,” the advisory elaborates. “Terrorists may attack with little or no warning, targeting places frequented by Westerners.”

    The Democrat administration’s State Department says we shouldn’t go there. The same Democrat administration is relocating their unvetted populations from there here.
    Welcome to Ohio.

    That’s the same Democrat administration demanding complete vetting via “universal background checks” for American citizens to exercise their fundamental right to keep and bear arms. And based on the Party platform and Kamala Harris’ threats, that’s just a a prelude to wider citizen disarmament should she win in November and assume the power to reshape the Supreme Court (and reverse Bruen).
    The Democrat strategy to do this is to bring in and subsidize more uncheckable Third Worlders from violence-plagued tyrannies, set them on the superhighway to citizenship, and, among other “fundamental transformations,” eviscerate the Second Amendment. If they succeed, how many gun owners will have helped them, either through being useful idiot Fudds or through the simple inaction of not voting?

  12. Walz’s Interview With ‘The View’ May Have Revealed More Than He Intended

    Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz was asked another softball question about gun ownership and the Second Amendment on Monday, this time from the hosts of The View. While most of Walz’s answer was nothing more than a regurgitation of his campaign talking points claiming that gun owners have nothing to fear from the candidate who previously supported banning handguns and declared the Supreme Court shouldn’t find that the Second Amendment protects an individual right, one jab at Donald Trump highlighted the draconian stance that the Harris/Walz ticket has taken on who, exactly, possesses the right to keep and bear arms.

    Walz made one more shady dig at his Republican opponent Donald Trump, telling the co-hosts, “The Republican nominee can’t pass a background check to get a gun,” referring to Trump getting convicted on 34 felony counts in his hush money trial early this year.

    “We understand the Second Amendment and lawful gun owners, folks who have been doing this for 50 years like I have, we understand that there’s not a single thing that we’re proposing that takes away your right to be able to own that firearm, to be able to have it in your possession,” he continued. “But it does go a long ways to making sure that folks who shouldn’t have it, don’t have it.”

    Clearly Walz believes that Trump’s felony convictions for the non-violent crime of falsifying business records should prevent him from lawfully possessing a firearm, though the Minnesota governor still believes felons should be able to cast a vote. Just last year Walz signed a bill allowing felons to have their voting rights restored after they complete their sentence, though their ability to legally own a firearm is still prohibited under Minnesota law.

    Walz’s stance is right in line with Biden/Harri’s DOJ, which has argued that a lifetime prohibition on gun ownership is entirely appropriate for anyone convicted of a felony or criminal offense punishable by more than a year in prison, even non-violent crimes. That argument has its share of critics, however, including multiple judges on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, which seems poised to once again rule in favor of a Pennsylvania man seeking to get his 2A rights restored almost 30 years after he pled guilty and received probation for falsifying his income on a food stamp application.

    The Third Circuit previously ruled in favor of Bryan Range, but the Supreme Court remanded the case back to the appellate court after it issued the Rahimi decision. The appellate court held oral arguments in the Range case for a second time earlier this month, and the panel seemed skeptical of DOJ attorney Kevin Soter’s position that only “serious crimes” result in a lifetime loss of the right to keep and bear arms.

    However, Soter’s position appeared to find little acceptance from the bench. One judge after another hammered Soter with growing irritation as they sought his definition of a “credible threat” to others’ physical safety — the threshold under Rahimi to justify disarmament.

    “Let’s say that Pennsylvania decided that jaywalking or failing to return library books is a felony,” U.S. Circuit Judge David J. Porter, a Donald Trump appointee, said. “Would those offenders be permanently disarmed under Rahimi?”

    Soter said that while that offender would be disarmed upon conviction, they could seek mechanisms such as expungement or a pardon to regain their Second Amendment rights later.

    “That’s a very steep hill to climb,” one judge muttered.

    Later, U.S. Circuit Judge Thomas M. Hardiman asked Soter to point out any evidence in the record suggesting Range poses a credible threat of physical violence.

    As Soter began to explain that Congress has treated Range’s crimes as worthy of disarmament, Hardiman interrupted to again ask plainly where the record indicates a credible threat of physical violence.

    Soter continued, briefly mentioning Range’s criminal history before being again interrupted by an exasperated Hardiman.

    “I’m not asking you to describe the record,” Hardiman, a George W. Bush appointee, snapped. “I’m asking you to cite in the record. Where in the record does he show himself to pose a credible threat to the physical safety of another?”

    “By being convicted of a crime punishable by more than one year,” Soter replied before Hardiman interrupted him for the third consecutive time.

    “So everybody who is convicted of a crime that’s punishable by a year and a day or more, ipso facto follows that that person poses a credible threat to the physical safety of others?” Hardiman asked. “That’s your argument?”

    That’s not just Soter’s argument. It’s Tim Walz’s argument as well.

    What makes Walz’s stance even more remarkable is that he could very well have been a prohibited person if he’d had just one more drink 29 years ago. In 1995, the same year that Range pled guilty to his misdemeanor charge, Walz himself took a plea deal after he was arrested for DUI in Nebraska. According to prosecutors, Walz’s blood test showed a BAC of .128, but he was allowed to plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving instead of a DUI.

    Under current Nebraska law, a .15 BAC is considered a felony-level offense. Does Walz believe that if he’d had one more drink that night he should have lost his Second Amendment rights forever? More importantly, does he believe that justice is being served when individuals like Bryan Range are prohibited from possessing a gun because of a non-violent offense 29 years ago; one that, unlike Walz’s own transgression, didn’t put anyone’s life at risk?

    Not surprisingly, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, and the rest of the hosts on The View never asked Walz that question or brought up his own legal troubles decades ago, for which I’m sure Walz is grateful. Second Amendment supporters, criminal justice reformers, and the millions of Americans who’ve been convicted of non-violent felonies and have served their time, however, should be aware of Walz’s position and the lengths that a Harris/Walz administration would go to keep them from restoring their right to lawfully possess a gun.

    Fani Willis’s special prosecutor and illicit lover Nathan Wade admitted he met with the Biden-Harris White House on multiple occasions during the prosecution of President Trump in the Georgia RICO case.

    Nathan Wade arrived on Capitol Hill for an interview with the House Judiciary Committee last week. Fani Willis sent out a letter to Chairman Jim Jordan demanding Nathan Wade’s testimony be canceled. She also demanded that Wade not answer any questions.

    BREAKING: The White House likely colluded with Nathan Wade on the case against Trump.

    Details of Wade’s White House meetings were not disclosed to lawmakers.

    It is unclear if Nathan Wade’s White House meetings were in person or remote by video. When asked, Nathan Wade said, “I don’t recall.”

    Fox News reported:

    Former Fulton County special prosecutor Nathan Wade met with Biden administration staff on at least two occasions during District Attorney Fani Willis’ probe into former President Donald Trump, a newly released transcript suggests.

    Wade was interviewed by House Judiciary Committee staff last week as part of Chairman Jim Jordan’s probe into the prosecutions of the former president.

    A grand jury indicted Trump and allies last year on charges related to alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia.

    Wade did not disclose the details of his supposed meetings with White House representatives, including if they were in-person or remote, but he acknowledged the existence of invoices and other records that indicated discussions occurred.

    Nathan Wade withdrew from the Trump lawfare RICO case earlier this year.

    In his 23-page decision, Judge McAfee ordered Fani Willis to address the “appearance of impropriety” before the case can move forward. McAfee ruled Willis can stay on the case but must fire her lover Nathan Wade, the top prosecutor she hired to hunt down Trump.

    In August 2023 Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis hit President Trump and 18 others with RICO and conspiracy charges for daring to challenge the 2020 election.

    A Fulton County grand jury returned a 41-count indictment which included RICO and conspiracy charges against Trump.

    In January of this year, Trump’s RICO co-defendant Michael Roman in a court filing blew the lid off of Fani Willis’ improper relationship with Nathan Wade.

    The filing claimed Nathan Wade paid for luxury vacations he took with Fani Willis to Napa Valley and a cruise in the Caribbean – and used money from Fulton County to pay for their out-of-town escapades.

    “County records show that Wade, who has played a prominent role in the election interference case, has been paid nearly $654,000 in legal fees since January 2022. The DA authorizes his compensation.” the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

    Nathan Wade and Fani Willis were forced to testify and they both lied under oath about when their relationship began.

    Fani Willis’s RICO case against Trump is on life support after Judge Scott McAfee dropped a total of six charges.

    In an explosive rebuke, former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio blasted former Senator Jeff Flake (RINO-AZ) for endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential election.

    Flake, who Joe Biden appointed to serve as ambassador to Turkey, announced his support for Harris, stating that it aligns with his “conservative values” and belief in the rule of law.

    However, Arpaio wasn’t having any of it and called out Flake’s blatant hypocrisy, reminding the public of Flake’s controversial family history.

    Appearing on MSNBC’s Velshi, Flake declared his support for Harris.

    “I’m voting for Kamala Harris, not in spite of being a Republican or a conservative, but because I am a conservative,” Flake said.

    Flake took aim at former President Trump, accusing him of ‘undermining the rule of law’ by attempting to contest the 2020 election results.

    “Conservatives, first and foremost, believe in the rule of law, and to have a president, a former president, who lost a free and fair election and then attempted to overturn that election. How can a conservative support such a person?” he asked.

    Flake’s praise for Harris and criticism of Trump isn’t surprising, given his long-standing opposition to the America First movement.

    The RINO also claimed that Harris aligns more with traditional Republican values like free trade, as opposed to Trump’s aggressive tariff policies.

    However, it was Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s blistering response that caught the attention of social media users.

    Arpaio called out Flake’s moral grandstanding by bringing up a dark chapter in the Flake family’s past—the infamous 2014 incident involving Flake’s son, Austin, and his daughter-in-law, Logan, who were responsible for the deaths of 21 dogs at a Gilbert, Arizona kennel.

    “Your son Austin and his wife killed 23 dogs, and then sued me and the Sheriff’s Office for prosecuting them. You tried to destroy me and my detectives, you don’t believe in the rule of law!” Arpaio wrote.

    Flake’s son was indicted with 21 felony counts and seven misdemeanor counts of cruelty to animals.

    Authorities later found discrepancies in the Flakes’ story, suggesting that the power to the cooling unit wasn’t cut due to a chewed-up electrical wire as originally claimed.

    Instead, the dogs likely suffocated due to negligence, and the Flakes, along with the kennel owners, were indicted on felony charges.

    A grand jury indicted Green Acre Dog Boarding owners Jesse Todd and Malesia Maurine Hughes along with the couple’s daughter Logan Flake and son-in-law Austin Flake, Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery said.

    The Hugheses said the animals died of heat exhaustion on June 20 in an 8- by 12-foot room when one dog chewed through the air conditioner’s power cord after the caretakers left the facility for the night.

    The couple was vacationing in Florida at the time and said their daughter and son-in-law were in charge of watching the dogs, authorities said.

    The Flakes reportedly tried to save the animals by hosing and icing them down, but authorities said they didn’t call for emergency assistance before the dogs died.

    A veterinarian who performed necropsies on some of the dogs said they likely suffocated.

    County sheriff’s investigators said in July that no evidence was found that a chewed-up electrical wire had cut power to a cooling unit and forwarded their findings to Montgomery’s office.
