Is it possible to somehow inject “fuel” such as aerosols or some other substance into storms to make them worse, or do unusual things such as grow in power from a tropical storm to a category 5 hurricane in just hours? Are there any meteorology experts lurking on this blog who are not captured by the climate change line of effort who can chime in on this?
As a healthy skeptic to the idea that our climate is being manipulated, I still cannot dismiss such possibilities out of hand. For example, a couple of summers ago we had a storm in our parts that came with a label I had never before heard of. I forget the term, but it involved a high-speed funnel of horizontal wind that traveled through my city inflicting much damage. “First-evers” deserve to be noticed, especially when communists are at the helm with the mandate to destroy everything.

De Recho. Spanish for ‘Straight ahead’.
I have footage I took of it. Was unique in my experience.
We get straight line winds at times, they aren’t common but occur a few years apart, I have seen the results of a quarter mile wide straight line wind and it was very destructive.
I haven’t heard about any aerosol being used, I have heard and dismissed the idea of a space laser directing the direction of storms.

Back to the article, if one state refuses to certify the election it is thrown to either the State Legislatures or Congress to elect the new President, The House of Representatives (the peoples house) to elect the President with each state delegation getting one vote. The Senate (The States House) would elect the VP with each Senator getting one vote. If it is thrown to the States the State Legislatures would choose new electors to go to DC and vote for the President and the Vice President.
I pray that this resolution is passed and signed into law.
Things are going to get interesting in the Chinese definition of interesting. May you live in interesting times.
West Virginia Lawmakers Propose Legislation to Prevent State from Recognizing Winner in US Election If GOP Candidate is Assassinated, Seriously Injured in Assassination Attempt, Jailed, or Barred from the Ballot

Enough is enough.
Courageous West Virginia Republican lawmakers proposed legislation this week that prevents the state from recognizing the winner in a US election if the election is enabled by illegal or fraudulent acts.
The lawmakers added that the state will not recognize any election of the Democrat candidate for President in the 2024 election cycle if the Republican candidate is assassinated, seriously injured during an assassination attempt, incarcerated, or eliminated from the ballot in any states, or is subject to legal actions that preclude the candidate from campaigning.
Absolutely amazing!
Via Josh Dunlap.
Local WTRF reported on the legislation.
This resolution’s lead sponsor is Del. Bill Ridenour (R-Jefferson), and it is sponsored by Dels. Margitta Mazzocchi (R-Logan), Henry Dillon (R-Wayne), Todd Longanacre (R-Greenbrier) and Elias Coop-Gonzalez (R-Randolph).
House Concurrent Resolution 203 said the “Democrat-led regime has utterly failed and continues to fail in a suspicious manner, in its absolute duty to adequately protect the Republican nominee for President.”
The resolution said the state wouldn’t recognize the election of a Democratic candidate if the Republican presidential or vice presidential candidate is “assassinated, seriously injured during an assassination attempt, incarcerated, defacto eliminated or barred from the ballot in any states, or is the subject of legal actions that preclude their effective campaigning.”
It also said if the West Virginia Attorney General or Secretary of State with the State Legislature “determine[d]” election fraud or interference was the reason the candidate got the majority in the Electoral College, they would not recognize the candidate’s election.
Resolution 203 has several other reasons listed for preventing the state from recognizing the alleged winner.
West Virginia lawmakers will not support a candidate when there are serious reports of election fraud.
Further Resolved, That, the State of West Virginia will not recognize an election of a candidate for President during the 2024 election cycle if the Attorney General of West Virginia or the Secretary of State of West Virginia, in consultation with the West Virginia Legislature, determine that election fraud in any state was a major reason that resulted in a candidate for President obtaining a majority in the Electoral College. Election fraud includes non-citizen voting, vote buying, ballot forgery, illegal or illicit ballot harvesting, illegal or illicit discarding of legal votes or voter registrations, ballot miscounts, algorithmic manipulation of votes or vote tabulations, cyber-attack or manipulation, or intimidation. Election fraud also includes interference by any government entities, including arrests or prosecutions for apparent political motives, or other forms of persecution using legal or official processes, to negatively affect an electoral process, or a political entity participating in an electoral process, using unconstitutional, extraconstitutional, illegal, or otherwise illegitimate means, including those under the color of law or office; and be it
Further Resolved, That, the State of West Virginia will not recognize an election of a candidate for President, if the Attorney General of West Virginia or the Secretary of State of West Virginia, in consultation with the West Virginia Legislature, determine that election interference by the federal government, foreign governments, or other state governments was a key factor that resulted in a candidate for President obtaining a majority in the Electoral College. Election interference includes censorship, information suppression or manipulation, or other unconstitutional, extraconstitutional, illegal, or otherwise illegitimate actions by the federal government, foreign governments, or other state governments, either directly or in collusion with elements of the media, social media entities, information entities, or political entities; and be it
Further Resolved, Thereupon a determination by the Legislature of West Virginia, in consultation with the Attorney General and Secretary of State, of either the illegal or illicit elimination of the Republican presidential or vice presidential candidate during the 2024 election cycle; or election fraud or election interference resulting in the Constitutionally illegitimate selection of a President during the 2024 election cycle, the Legislature will be called into special session by the Governor to consider actions to preserve the Freedom of our People.

Police believe South American crime ring behind burglaries of high-end metro homes
“These criminals know what they’re doing,” Medina Police Chief Jason Nelson said. “They’re targeting homes when no one is there, and they’ve never been confrontational. We’re talking millions of dollars in stolen jewelry, and none of it is turning up locally.”

Medina police are warning residents about a series of high-end burglaries they believe to be the work of a sophisticated South American crime ring.
The burglars are targeting affluent homes, stealing expensive jewelry and other smaller valuables while leaving behind lower-value items.
Criminals in and out within minutes
“They fly into a certain part of the country, rent a car, and then drive around the Midwest committing high-end burglaries,” Medina Police Chief Jason Nelson told Alpha News. “They’re in and out of master bedrooms in under 10 minutes, taking only high-value items and leaving costume jewelry behind.”
Timberwolves guard Mike Conley was among three Medina homeowners targeted in a string of burglaries over the weekend of Sept. 14-16. According to Chief Nelson, a rental car connected to the burglaries was traced from Florida to Minnesota and back using the Flock license plate recognition system. Despite tracking the vehicle’s movements, authorities have yet to make any arrests.
Repeat tactics and high-profile targets
Last year, authorities discovered that a rental car was parked nearby when the Minneapolis home of Twins owner Jim Pohlad was burglarized.
Nelson said that in Medina alone, there have been eight to 10 incidents in the past year, with millions of dollars in jewelry stolen. He noted that similar crimes have also occurred in other Twin Cities suburbs, including Eden Prairie, Woodbury, and Lake Elmo.
“These criminals know what they’re doing,” Nelson said. “They’re targeting homes when no one is there, and they’ve never been confrontational. We’re talking millions of dollars in stolen jewelry, and none of it is turning up locally.”
Stolen jewelry likely sold out of state or overseas
Nelson said that none of the stolen jewelry has resurfaced locally, suggesting that it is likely being sold out of state or overseas—even melted down.
The burglars typically enter through rear windows or lower-level patio doors, sometimes using paver rocks or bricks to break in. Nelson explained that they are highly organized, often disabling security systems and using scouting tactics.
“There’s some kind of reconnaissance happening, whether there’s another crew that comes in before or if somebody is using a drone,” said Nelson.
According to a recent KARE 11 report, this suspected crime ring has targeted at least 60 homes across 12 metro cities. The burglars have been using advanced tools, including cellphone and Wi-Fi jammers, GPS trackers, and surveillance cameras.
Medina adjusts alarm policies to speed up response
Although Medina police have not made any arrests, Nelson said his department is working closely with state, local, and federal partners. “We’re just trying to be more vigilant in quieter, more secluded areas of our community.”
In response to the burglaries, the Medina City Council and mayor recently voted to suspend false alarm fees, as many homeowners had their alarm companies notify them first to avoid charges, causing significant delays in police response.
“By the time we get there, the burglars are gone,” Nelson said. “We want those alarms to go directly to dispatch so we can respond faster.”
Police urge vigilance in protecting valuables
Nelson urged residents to keep their home alarms active and in good working order, particularly in secluded neighborhoods.
He also advised securing valuables in less obvious places than dresser drawers and bolting down safes.
“They’re targeting master bedrooms specifically, so consider hiding valuables in less predictable spots,” he added.
‘Burglary tourism’
A phenomenon that authorities have come to refer to as “burglary tourism” has been documented extensively in other states, such as California, where Los Angeles police formed a South American Theft Group task force.
In August, federal prosecutors in California indicted seven individuals who were part of “a crime tourism group of South Americans and other individuals who engaged in burglaries, thefts, and other crimes throughout the United States, then laundered millions of dollars in illicit proceeds.”
“Crime tourism is a major problem impacting not just Southern California, but our entire nation,” U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada said at the time. “These defendants facilitated and directed crime tourists who committed hundreds of robberies across the country—in essence, they acted as quarterbacks for a team of thieves.”

The Real Issue With NY’s New Law Requiring Warnings
By Tom Knighton | 12:30 PM | October 10, 2024
AP Photo/Mary Altaffer, Pool
When I was growing up, I was raised in a house with two smokers. I saw tobacco products most of my life on a daily basis. I distinctly remember the surgeon general’s warning about the hazards of tobacco use.
And the truth is that there’s really no way to use these products without there being some health risks. There are no safety measures one can take to not risk lung or mouth cancer.
So when I see what New York is doing, I have some issues.
Gun stores will be required to post warnings that purchasing a firearm significantly raises the risk of suicide, fatal accidents to children and lethal domestic violence in their homes, according to one of three bills signed into law Tuesday.
The two other gun-control bills signed by Gov. Kathy Hochul would ban “pistol converters,” which are devices that convert semiautomatic pistols in machine guns, and would create better monitoring of sales of firearms and ammunition.
The legislation that will require warning signs at gun stores is effective in December.
“Warning,” the signs must state, “Access to a weapon or firearm in the home significantly increases the risk of suicide, death during domestic disputes, and/or unintentional deaths to children, household members and others. If you or a loved one is experiencing distress and/or depression, call the national suicide lifeline at 988.”
The signs must be posted where firearms are sold, displayed or delivered and placed at the entrance to the site and in at least one other area where sales are made, under the law sponsored by Sen. Michael Gianaris (D-Queens) and Assemb. Jeffrey Dinowitz (D-Bronx)
Except, the only thing that raises the risk of any of that is generally either carelessness or the intentional act of another person.
The mere existence of a gun in the house has no magical effect on anyone. Each and every one of these claims is the result of what an individual chooses to do.
That alone makes it different from warning labels on things like tobacco or warning pregnant women to steer clear of alcohol. Those are automatically harmful to some degree or another, though how much or how long it takes might be up for debate.
Further, there really aren’t benefits to using tobacco and while I love a good whiskey, especially bourbon, the reality here is that
Guns, however, are life-saving devices. People buy them to protect themselves and people use them for that each day.
I haven’t even started on the fact that many of these claims are predicated on bad studies that didn’t differentiate between lawful gun ownership and criminal possession. There’s a big difference in lifestyle between your average gun owner and the criminal underclass, including the tendency toward violence in the first place.
But we need to remember that none of this is actually intended to inform people or even keep them safe. This is all about trying to keep people from wanting guns. It’s about trying to scare us away from buying a firearm, all because the more we rely on the government for our safety, the more infringements on our rights we can be convicted to tolerate.
That’s what all of this is really about and I find it absolutely disgusting.

Weed Store Owner Claims Self-Defense in Fatal Shooting Amid Post-Hurricane Chaos

Florida Hemp Distribution in Tallahassee, Florida, was the scene of a defensive shooting in response to a robbery.
Just hours after Hurricane Helene swept through the Big Bend region of Florida, causing widespread destruction throughout the area and beyond, an attempted robbery at a local weed store escalated into a fatal shooting. With law enforcement stretched thin responding to numerous storm-related emergencies, a pair of robbers sought to take advantage of the distraction and targeted the Florida Hemp Distribution store on West Tennessee Street, the Tallahassee Democrat reported.
The Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) was called to the scene around 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 to investigate the shooting, which has since become a homicide investigation. According to Alex Petrick, co-owner of the store, the shooting was a matter of self-defense by the store’s lone employee.
Petrick recounted that two men entered the store and confronted the employee on duty, prompting him to draw his firearm. The employee allegedly issued a warning to the would-be robbers, saying, “Leave, leave. Don’t make me do this,” according to Petrick.
Despite the clear warning, at least one of the suspects didn’t believe he would pull the trigger and continued to move toward the employee, who continued backing up until he was against a literal wall. With no choice left, he fired his gun, striking and killing the criminal.
The second suspect fled the scene as soon as he saw the firearm, Petrick told the Democrat. No other employees or customers were present at the time of the incident.
After the shooting, TPD questioned the employee for several hours before releasing him without charges. Petrick noted the investigation remains open and authorities have not confirmed many of the details he provided to the newspaper.
TPD spokesperson Heather Merritt stated that the incident is still an active investigation, with interviews ongoing with all involved parties.
As the community grapples with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, the shooting has become a stark reminder of the challenges and dangers that can arise in times of crisis. With another potentially catastrophic hurricane on its way to make landfall in Florida this evening, Gov. Ron DeSantis and other state and local law enforcement officials have warned against looting as well as advised criminals not to take advantage of the chaos from the disaster to further victimize Florida residents.

U.S. Soldiers Trapped in Israel on Oct. 7 Narrowly Escaped Being Taken Captive by Hamas
A quarter of the 40 U.S. Army soldiers who were in Israel as the advance team for a routine training exercise last Oct. 7 were just miles from Gaza in off-base housing near the IDF’s Tze’elim base when the Hamas attack began.
A group of local Israelis – IDF reservists, police officers, and ordinary citizens – got them to the base, which Hamas terrorists were quickly heading toward.
With his men in mortal danger, the U.S. team leader requested permission to open the arms locker so they could retrieve their firearms, but this was DENIED by U.S. Central Command.
[! ! !]The rest of the soldiers arrived in Tel Aviv, where Hamas rockets were hitting near their hotels.
Some 40 hours after the attacks started, a U.S. Air Force C-17 briefly touched down in Tel Aviv to exfiltrate the soldiers.

‘Looters Meeting Shooters’ Could Spread Hurricane Milton’s Destruction
Ammoland Inc. Posted on October 10, 2024 by David Codrea
Hurricane Milton threatens to bring with it more than killer winds and flooding. (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)/Facebook)
“Gov. DeSantis warns Milton looters could meet shooters in ‘Second Amendment state’,” Florida Politics reported Tuesday. The governor issued the warning while issuing preparedness updates for the approaching hurricane at the State Emergency Operations Center.
“If you go into somebody’s house after the storm passes, think that you’re going to be able to commit crimes, you’re going to get in really serious trouble,” DeSantis cautioned. “And quite frankly, you don’t know what’s behind that door in a Second Amendment state.”
That’s a continuation of “You loot, we Shoot” warnings DeSantis had issued for hurricanes Ian and Idalia in 2022 and 2023, the report reminds readers:
“At the end of the day, we are not going to allow lawlessness to take advantage of this situation. We are a law-and-order state, and this is a law-and-order community, so do not think that you’re going to go take advantage of people who’ve suffered misfortune.”
Property owners protecting themselves, their homes, and their businesses would do well to remind themselves that, because it is a “law-and-order” state, any shooting they do had better be in compliance with the law. Florida’s “stand your ground” provisions won’t give them a pass from prosecution if there’s a question of legality, or if a Democrat DA decides there’s ginned-up anger they can exploit.
Defenders can find the legal system takes more from them than the hurricane did, especially if found guilty and sentenced to prison. Either way, they could lose everything they own. On top of that, even if criminal charges don’t stick, civil lawsuits by surviving rioters, or by family members of those who didn’t, can wipe out the rest of a defender’s property, especially if jurors are sympathetic to the pillagers and hostile to those they deem “privileged.”
Such views have been encouraged by prominent anti-gun Democrat politicians like Maxine Waters, who defended the Los Angeles riots as a “rebellion.” And they’ve been amplified in the years since by collectivist “thought leaders” as exemplified by “In Defense of Looting,” equating it with “anti-racism” and “not merely a manifestation of collective anger but a demonstration of resistance to a political-economic status quo that has failed most people.”

If any looters are shot, recent history may be the best guide for what to expect. If riots following the deaths of Michael Brown and George Floyd are any indicators, violent protests could erupt nationwide, and the objects of anger this will not just be police, but home and business owners.
There’s a saying among gun owners about concealed carry in jurisdictions where it’s banned that could apply here:
“I’d rather be judged by 12 than carried by six.”
That’s a choice no one should be forced to make. Here’s hoping those who think they’re forced to know what is legally justifiable use good sense and are able to weather another furious storm.

This is—or should be—a huge journalistic scandal. I had been waiting to comment until I was able to verify some things for myself. This much is now unquestionable in my view: 60 Minutes/CBS has posted two entirely different versions of Harris’s answer to the same exact question. One answer is coherent. The other is a mess.
What is still unclear is where they got her coherent answer from. It wasn’t simply edited down from the longer version they posted… again, these are two completely different answers!
Did CBS do a second take of the question to help her? Did CBS take unaired footage from another question and splice it in? That’s unclear at this point.
CBS needs to release the unedited and full version of the interview so people can see what actually took place and how they constructed the new answer. If the answer came from another part of the interview, someone should be fired.
