Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  1. Economic policy is set from statistics, or at least this is the claim. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has revealed itself to be an unreliable source of jobs data. It is clear the department has been politicized by the OBiden regime, cooking the books for its political masters.

Every issuance of “official” employment reporting, month after month, has been mistaken to the upside. There is a great rejoicing in the corrupt msm about the strong economy, stocks go up, precious metals get kicked down violently, and then a little while later the numbers are corrected while msm turns away.

Now, a massive revision comes to light, showing us 818,000 fewer jobs were created than were claimed. But there is little point in believing habitual lies

The question is: how deep is the rot in the Federal government? Are any departments untouched by OBiden? And now that they let this cat out of the bag (conveniently timed) look for Powell to start dropping interest rates.

    • The flip side is relentless pessimism.
~~We’re going down, BRICS will succeed as we inevitably fail, China is the future, blah-blah, woof-woof~~

The Enemy cooks the books to demoralize us. Masters of charts and tables, they’re really deploying their Alinsky. About as accurate as political polls, but the impact is real. Especially effective in manipulating volatile financial markets. McKinsey and the BCG koshered it as “business intelligence” 60 years ago.

I’m reading about the psywar weapon in current kinetic wars – Israel/Iran, Russia/Kiev.

Upended by His Own Game: Khamenei Faces Psychological Warfare

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei believes that conflicts worldwide are won via the media, and that the media’s influence in overcoming enemies is greater than that of a missile or a warplane. He now understands that a psychological counterattack could defeat even him and his regime.

      • My pessimism isn’t relentless, but I get what you’re saying. Hiding real numbers just makes it worse once they go kinetic. Suppressing the price of money for 25 years–longer than in the history of humanity–doesn’t require a genius to know the distortions rectifying will also be historic. Increasing the debt one-trillion dollars every hundred days is pretty special, too. So hyperbole isn’t required on this menu. Who needs to worry about the enemy behind the gates when we did this part to ourselves?

        • The left in their arrogance deny that there are laws of economics that can’t be violated, these laws take a long time to punish you for violating them but in the end they will prove that leaving the market alone and not playing with fiat money is the only way to have a stable economy.

  2. The first 13:30 of this video is of a heroic Trudeau heckler at a New Brunswick gathering. It’s the most fun I’ve had in a while, actually, watching this guy put the cops on the spot.

The rest is good, too. The host compares Biden’s with Dear Needer’s corruption haul, and then moves on to a low-IQ delivery driver and his fairly hilarious excuses for why he drives the way he does.

  4. Army Special Forces Veteran Rep. Mike Waltz Who is Investigating Trump Assassination Attempt Believes Thomas Crooks Did Not Act Alone

Republican Rep. Mike Waltz revealed to Daily Mail that Thomas Matthew Crooks, the 20-year-old accused of attempting to assassinate former President Donald Trump, may not have acted alone.

The ongoing investigation by a Congressional task force has raised serious concerns about potential foreign involvement in the attack.

Rep. Waltz emphasized that the motivations behind Crooks’ actions remain unclear, suggesting that a foreign entity or other third-party could be implicated.

“I don’t understand, and I don’t have any answers yet to help me understand how the [Secret] Service and DHS came out so quickly and said – and I think the FBI as well, but I’ll have to check that – and said, he operated alone,” Waltz told Daily Mail at Trump Tower in Chicago on Wednesday. “How do you know that mere days into your investigation?”

“You can’t tell us his motive, but you could tell us he operated alone? You can’t get into these encrypted overseas accounts, but you can tell us he acted alone? So, I don’t buy that yet,” he added.

“I don’t know of many 19-year-old kids who could make multiple IEDs with a remote detonator on their own,” Waltz added. “Why didn’t that get picked up if he’s searching that online or buying literature on how to do that?”

Police found a cell phone and a bomb detonator next to Thomas Matthew Crooks after a Secret Service sniper fatally shot him on a rooftop outside of Trump’s Butler, Pennsylvania rally.

“Channel 11?s Nicole Ford also obtained exclusive photos showing the cell phone and transmitter device found next to Crooks moments after a Secret Service sniper shot and killed him.” WPXI reported.

However, according to CNN, investigators found no online search history of Crooks researching how to assemble homemade explosives.

“It’s unclear how Crooks assembled the explosive devices found in his car. Investigators parsing through his online search history haven’t found any indication of him researching how to make home-made explosives, law enforcement officials said.” – CNN reported.

Rep. Waltz also echoed this statement during his interview with Benny Johnson.

  5. They Wanted Someone Besides Kamala? Pelosi Accuses Harris of ‘Taking Advantage’ of Biden’s Troubles

‘Many of us who were concerned about the election wanted to have an open process. It was an open process, anyone could have gotten in.’

There’s apparently a rift opening between U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the California Democrat who multiple times was House speaker and orchestrated her party’s two failed impeach-and-remove schemes against President Trump, and Kamala Harris, the party’s presumptive nominee for president.

According to a report from Fox News, Pelosi is insisting that she wanted to “open” a “process” that would result in a replacement for the mentally declining Joe Biden.

    And then Harris “took advantage.”

“Many of us who were concerned about the election wanted to have an open process. It was an open process, anyone could have gotten in,” Pelosi told the Wall Street Journal.

The party more or less pushed Biden under the bus in July, after his catastrophically bad debate performance against President Donald Trump in June. And he’d exhibited a long list of mental failings during his public appearances. He’d forget names and countries, whisper, then shout, and often mixed up people, to include his own family members.

Technically, he withdrew from the race and endorsed Harris.

“Pelosi has denied playing any role in forcing Biden to drop out, but she’s acknowledged in interviews that she worried about Biden’s campaign and was unimpressed with his political operation,” the report explained.

Pelosi said she’d heard from House Democrats that their campaigns were being hurt by Biden’s presence on the ticket, and she relayed those worries to the White House.

Harris snapped up the opportunity, despite having no votes at all cast for her in any primary.

The report suggested her presence “seemingly reinvigorated the party,” but polling already shows that the routine bump in popularity the party enjoyed because of her launch already is fading quickly.

“[Harris] had the endorsement of the president, and she, politically astutely, took advantage of it and shut down — not shut down, but won the nomination. But anybody else could have gotten in,” Pelosi claimed.

Pelosi also credited Biden with deciding “how we would proceed,” crediting him with “selflessness.”

Regarding her own efforts to change the name at the top of the party’s 2024 ballot, she previously explained she did what she had to do.

“He made the decision for the country. My concern was not about the president, it was about his campaign. As he has seen with the exuberance, the excitement that has come forth in our country,” she said.

    • I am hearing reports of massive problems in the Dem Party, all of the major power players are suppose to be against Kamala and many are suppose to be working to ensure that she doesn’t win.

  6. The Atlantic Ocean is Cooling at Record Speed and Climate Hoaxers Are Absolutely Baffled!
    thegatewaypundit.com/2024/08/atlantic-ocean-is-cooling-record-speed-climate-hoaxers/

The Atlantic Ocean is now cooling at a record speed, leading climate alarmists absolutely baffled.

While temperatures in the ocean were recently reaching record highs, that trend has gone into reverse over the past year, confusing scientists and those warning about an impending global catastrophe.

    The New Scientist explains:

Over the past three months, the shift from hot to cool temperatures in the equatorial Atlantic Ocean has happened at record speed. This emerging “Atlantic Niña” pattern comes just ahead of an expected transition to a cooler La Niña in the Pacific Ocean, and these back-to-back events could have ripple effects on weather worldwide.

The swing towards cooler temperatures in both oceans is a welcome change after more than a year of record heat at land and sea, largely driven by the rise in greenhouse gas emissions and a warm El Niño pattern in the tropical Pacific Ocean that developed in mid-2023.

“We are starting to see that the global mean ocean temperatures are going down a bit,” says Pedro DiNezio at the University of Colorado Boulder.

According to the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), global sea surface temperatures this past July were slightly cooler than in July 2023 – ending a 15-month streak of record-high average ocean temperatures.

“The Atlantic Ocean is cooling at record pace, and nobody knows why”

This is following “record-high” (so they say) global sea temperatures. Scientists are puzzled by the sudden shift in temps.

Could this be related to Earths weakening magnetic field? @SunWeatherMan pic.twitter.com/3GaIsLr7wq

    — Jimmy Corsetti (@BrightInsight6) August 22, 2024

While there are likely a range of scientific theories as to why this shift is occurring, such sudden changes in temperature serve as a reminder of how the earth’s climate is always changing with no regard for human activity.

That is perhaps why practically every single prediction, from Al Gore’s famous An Inconvenient Truth all the way through to Greta Thunberg’s suggestion that humanity would be wiped out unless the world stopped using fossil fuels by the year 2023.

The extent of the so-called “global warming” phenomenon is best exposed by the recent film Climate: The Movie, which interviews a range of world-leading academics who expose the paper thin science behind the climate hoax and the multi-trillion dollar industry around it.

    • It’s an excellent movie, well worth the watch.

For years, I’ve been telling people that we are in a cooling period. Just look around you, the people who have swimming pools use them no more than 20 minutes per summer, and this for the past nine years at least. I’m surrounded by homes with pools, that’s how I know.

The couple across the street from me had an inground pool built last fall. I kept thinking to myself how stupid they are, people who don’t do their homework before such an investment. Many great websites about the climate and the real facts.

This summer has been very cool with only a few scattered days of real summer weather. Since the past few summers, I no longer spend long evenings on my deck, it’s too cool. I miss the heat.

  7. About the Canadian Railway strike. Such a stupid government we have.

They (the Labour Minister?) intentionally delayed the contract negotiation date of one railway by one year and it ended up coinciding with the renewal contract negotiation of the other railway (CP & CN).

And that’s how we ended up with our two major railways on strike simultaneously. And it’s costing us $1 Billion a day until it’s settled.

Note: The Labor minister ordered both railways back to work with negotiations pending.
