Reader’s Links for June 20th 2024

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

For those interested, please check out https://vladtepesblog.substack.com/ as an another avenue of expression.

  1. Shots fired at Montreal Israeli cuisine eatery on anti-Zionist boycott list
Falafel Yoni was recently placed on an anti-Israel boycott list and has been bombarded with what it says are fake, politically motivated reviews.

No casualties were reported by authorities. Falafel Yoni said on social media that one of their locations had been targeted on Tuesday night, and that they had closed for the day due to the holes in the storefront windows.

    • They are the most demonstrative of the pets, they tell you they love you openly and often, other pets love you as much but tell you in different ways. Some of my best memories are me and my dog in the summers, he was always happy to see me come home from school and was protective until the day he died.

Sorry I haven’t been posting as much, I have been busy.

  2. A woman’s sportswear company endorsed by former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines has been banned from TikTok because the company defends women’s sports.

XX-XY Athletics’ founder, former Levi Strauss & Co. President Jennifer Sey, told her followers on X that her company has received a permanent ban on the Chinese-supported social media outlet TikTok.

“When you run an ad standing up for women and girls’ sports, you get banned for life from @tiktok_us. Here’s the ad. Offensive, right?” she asked her X fans.

The video ad features a voiceover saying, “If you think girls’ and women’s equality matter, stand up. If you think girls’ and women’s sports matter, and you want your daughters to have the same opportunity you had, stand up. If you know that it isn’t fair — or safe — to allow males to compete in girls’ sports because it’s, well, obvious, stand up.”

Because a 20-year-old girl insulted a rapist as a “dishonourable rapist pig” and a “disgusting freak”, she has now been deprived of her freedom for longer than eight out of nine of the rapists involved.
The gang rape in Hamburg’s City Park caused quite a stir, not only because a 15-year-old girl was sexually abused and raped by nine perpetrators aged between 16 and 20, but also because the Hamburg district court only handed down a single prison sentence and eight suspended sentences.

Now there is a new scandal: as reported by the Hamburger Abendblatt newspaper, the Hamburg district court sentenced a 20-year-old to a longer prison sentence than eight out of nine of the rapists themselves – because she had called him a “dishonourable rapist pig” and a “disgusting freak”.

  4. Alvin Bragg drops all charges against Columbia’s pro-Hamas vandals who took custodians hostage

One thing most people can agree on is that you don’t trash university buildings, and you don’t take custodians hostage.

But Alvin Bragg is not like most people. While he spent millions prosecuting President Trump on charges of his own invention and pontificated about the law applying equally to everyone, he kind of had other ideas about Jew-hating pro-Hamas vandals who took over a building at Columbia University this past spring, trashed it with thousands of dollars of property damage, and took three custodians hostage.

  5. “We are the Palestinian resistance and you will be the slaves under our shoes.” This was the threat directed at a Jew wearing a Star of David in London, captured on video by a councillor.

To the uninitiated, this may sound like bravado rather than a real threat. But the subjugation of Jews is a core motivation behind the Israel-Hamas conflict. The “Palestinian resistance” who want to make Jews their slaves are Hamas and other Islamist groups, who have repeatedly expressed their aim of creating a homogeneous region free of Jews, and then expanding their empire beyond those borders.

  6. Repaying a debt with blood: Israeli doctor saved Sinwar, nephew killed on Oct. 7
Dr. Yuval Bitton saved Yahya Sinwar’s life in 2004. Sinwar promised to repay the debt upon his release in 2011, only to plot the murder of Bitton’s nephew and countless other Israelis 19 years later.

  7. A Minnesota farmer claimed victory in a lawsuit filed against the state in January that said his race and sex placed him at the back of the line to receive grants to buy farmland.

Gov. Tim Waltz recently signed legislation that rolls back the state’s policy of prioritizing “emerging farmers” based on characteristics such as race and sex.
