Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  10. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has claimed that Ukraine supporters in the West are merely seeking to exploit the country for its natural resources while saying that the war could be over in a day if Europe coalesces around the position of peace.

    In an interview with HírTV, Prime Minister Orbán said that the main aim of Western backers of the proxy war with Russia in Ukraine is to expand “wealth and influence” rather than the vague notion of protecting democracy or stemming Moscow’s supposed imperialistic ambitions.

  11. Nigel Farage has been the subject of a second attempted physical assault in a week since returning to front-line British politics, with a protester hurling objects from a building site as the campaigner went by.

    Brexit pioneer and now Reform UK leader Nigel Farage campaigned in support of his local candidate in Barnsley, South Yorkshire on Tuesday and was being greeted by waving supporters, video he published showed. An object was then thrown, narrowly missing Mr Farage, by a man wearing a red shirt shouting “fascist, fascist scum”.

  12. New Jersey officials are “reviewing” how former President Donald Trump’s liquor licenses for several golf clubs may be impacted by his recent conviction.

    Officials within the New Jersey Attorney General’s Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control are “reviewing the impact of President Trump’s conviction” on his liquor licenses for the Trump National Golf Club in Colts Neck, Lamington Farm Club, and Trump National Golf Club Philadelphia in Pine Hill, a spokesperson from the state’s attorney general’s office confirmed to the Hill.

    The spokesperson added that each of the liquor licenses for the former president’s golf clubs are still active.

    Under New Jersey law:

    No license of any class shall be issued to any person under the age of 18 years or to any person who has been convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude.

      • Probably never, the conviction will be reversed by one of the Federal Appeals courts. The goal wasn’t to put him in court or even make him pay a fine, it was to convict him so he could be called a convicted felon.

  13. Gaza-based Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar believes that “[W]e have the Israelis right where we want them,” despite massive losses to the terror organization, because of growing international pressure on Israel to stop short of victory.

    The Wall Street Journal reported Monday that Sinwar, who is likely hiding in a tunnel in southern Gaza, possibly surrounded by Israeli hostages as human shields, is happy with how the war is going — civilian casualties and all.

  14. A liberal, women-led Berlin mosque known as a haven for gay Muslims was a target for an Islamic State terror cell in Germany, prosecutors say as the group goes to court.

    A group of seven immigrants arrested in 2023 across Germany and the Netherlands will soon see their day in court, and German prosecutors allege before their incarceration the men prepared to build bombs and researched targets including a liberal mosque, Jewish citizens, and a fair.

    The men, who originated in Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan came to Germany from Ukraine as part of the refugee flow that immediately followed the Russian invasion in 2022. One of the group is alleged to have led an Islamic State terrorist cell in Kyiv, Ukraine, and some of the group are said to have already killed in Ukraine, including by beating.

  15. A plane carrying the vice president of Malawi, a southeast African country, and nine other people is reportedly missing.

    Malawi Vice President Saulos Chilima and nine other people are reportedly missing after departing from Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi, around 9:17 a.m. for the funeral of former Malawi Attorney General Ralph Kasambara, Lucky Sikwese, an aide in Chilima’s office, confirmed, according to the New York Times.

    The aircraft reportedly disappeared from radar systems, and officials have not been able to get into contact with the plane.

  16. The State Department announced on Monday that Ukraine’s Azov Brigade, which has a long history of association with Nazi socialism, will be allowed to receive American weapons and training.

    Russia immediately denounced the U.S. for supporting Ukrainian “ultra-nationalists” and “neo-Nazis.”

    “After thorough review, Ukraine’s 12th Special Forces Azov Brigade passed Leahy vetting as carried out by the U.S. Department of State,” the State Department said. The statement did not say exactly when it lifted the restrictions whether the Azov Brigade already has access to U.S. equipment or not.

    In today’s Ready Room, it will suffice to weave together three incomplete threads, disparate but connected, as things often are if you look closely enough. We wind up at the end on 6 June at a windswept beach in Normandy, as always since 1944. (It is salutary to remember, as we are apt to forget with the passing years, that by the first anniversary of the amphibious landing at Normandy on D-Day 1944, the war in Europe had already been declared won, following Germany’s surrender in May 1945. It has been decades since such rapid action attended a “great” war.)

    The initial stop, however, is in Gaza, where a pier has resurfaced.

    Trump’s campaign took a moment to comment on the recent conviction of Hunter Biden, who was found guilty on all three felony charges related to gun possession after a three-hour jury deliberation. Hunter now faces up to 25 years behind bars.

    Following the conviction, Trump’s campaign National Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, released a statement:

    “This trial has been nothing more than a distraction from the real crimes of the Biden Crime Family, which has raked in tens of millions of dollars from China, Russia and Ukraine. Crooked Joe Biden’s reign over the Biden Family Criminal Empire is all coming to an end on November 5th, and never again will a Biden sell government access for personal profit.”

    Matt Gaetz also weighed in on these charges, saying, “The Hunter Biden gun conviction is kinda dumb tbh.”

    The Oversight Project by The Heritage Foundation also released its own statement:

    Hunter Biden is guilty. Everyone in the world has known that for a long time. Today a jury in Delaware found him guilty. But do not take the bait, I plead with you. The media is going to say this is the rule of law working. It’s even.

    What’s happened with the lawfare with President Trump and all of their conservatives is now okay because because they got Hunter on this one thing. That’s not true. They charged him with the lowest level thing they could find, okay. This is about lying on a form to buy a gun, that he was addicted to drugs. Clear as day. Everyone knows that. They did not charge him with running an international pay-to-play influence peddling scheme with his father as the product. His father’s awareness of it with some of the most corrupt corners of the world, the CCP, the corrupt corners of Ukraine…

    Any corrupt area you point to, the Biden family had some sort of business dealing. They picked the one crime that they could say had nothing to do with Joe, had nothing to do with acting as a foreign agent, and they charged him with that solely to make this kind of plea that now there’s things happening on both sides and everything’s okay.

    That’s not true whatsoever. This is what they tried to get away with last summer when we threw a wrench in their plans. They went to court in Delaware and under the guise of tax and gun fraud, the Biden administration wanted to offer him a global plea that would have excused him for everything else he did involving his father and the rest of the Biden family.

    The same thing is at play right now. This sets up for a potential global pardon where his father Joe could say I am pardoning this verdict against my son. And it’s going to include, guess what? Everything else that connects back to Joe. That’s what we need to be on the lookout for.

    Joe Biden has repeatedly said that he will not grant a pardon to his son, Hunter Biden, should he be convicted of illegal gun possession or any other related charges. During a recent interview, when questioned about the possibility of pardoning his son, Biden’s response was concise and definitive: “Yes,” according to Politico.

    We’ll see if Biden stands by his word. As Democrat Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries said, “Biden commented as a loving father as I would hope any loving father would do.”

    Biden also released his statement following the conviction of his son.

    “I will accept the outcome of this case and will continue to respect the judicial process as Hunter considers an appeal. Jill and I will always be there for Hunter and the rest of our family with our love and support. Nothing will ever change that.”
