Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  1. Raging Harlem Mob Tries to Deliver Street Justice to Man Accused of Punching 43-Year-Old Woman and Slashing 11-Year-Old Girl (VIDEO)
    by Jim H?ft May. 11, 2024 7:45 am604 Comments

A man accused of a violent attack on a 43-year-old woman and slashing an 11-year-old girl on a Harlem subway platform was nearly lynched by an angry mob of locals on Friday.

Harlem police apprehended Shaquan Cummings, 30, moments before an angry mob could attack him.

Cummings is accused of a brutal assault on an 11-year-old girl and a 43-year-old woman near the 116th Street subway station, the New York Post reported.

Authorities report that Cummings, who has a lengthy criminal history, first attacked the woman by punching her near a street corner around 2:15 p.m. He then reportedly ran onto the subway platform and slashed the young girl in the back of her head and her ear while she was holding her mother’s hand.

The girl’s mother, Gorzata Sladek, described the attack as “traumatizing” and “terrible.” She recounted the horrifying moment when she turned to see her daughter bleeding profusely after feeling a sharp pain. Despite her efforts to stop a departing train and capture the assailant, Cummings managed to escape initially.

The incident left the young victim severely injured, requiring surgery involving multiple stitches and staples to close the wound.

The child was immediately treated by medical personnel near a local juice bar, where a UPS worker described her as “scared and crying” with her head and hand covered in blood.

  2. Whistleblower Exposes Internal Email Suggesting Pfizer Offered “Separate and Distinct” COVID-19 Vaccines to Employees
    by Jim H?ft May. 11, 2024 8:00 am296 Comments

A whistleblower from Pfizer has leaked an internal email indicating that the pharmaceutical giant offered a “separate and distinct” COVID-19 vaccine to employees at its Pearl River research site in Rockland County, New York, InfoWars reported.

The email, dated January 2021, reassures Pfizer employees that the vaccine supply for this internal program would not affect the doses committed to national governments worldwide.

According to the leaked document, site-essential workers were identified to receive these exclusive vaccinations.

According to the whistleblower, there was a widespread belief among employees that they were receiving vaccines that were different from those distributed to the public.

  3. RNC and Arizona GOP Challenge Court Decision Allowing Non-Citizens to Vote in Arizona
    by Jim H?ft May. 11, 2024 8:30 am141 Comments

The Republican National Committee (RNC), in conjunction with the Arizona Republican Party, has announced an appeal against a portion of a federal court decision related to Arizona’s election laws.

The appeal, filed on May 8, challenges the court’s ruling that prevents the state from requiring documentary proof of citizenship for presidential elections or mail-in voting.

The legal action intends to reinforce measures against the participation of non-citizens in Arizona’s elections, a move that the committees believe will uphold the integrity of the electoral process.

In February, Judge Susan Bolton of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona ruled in favor of maintaining two critical laws, HB 2492 and HB 2243, passed in 2022, which the RNC celebrated as a “landmark legal development for election integrity,” Epoch Times reported.

However, Bolton’s decision also prevents Arizona from enforcing documentary proof of citizenship for voting in presidential elections or by mail, a point of contention for the RNC and the Arizona GOP.

“The U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona struck down an Arizona requirement that individuals seeking to register to vote must list their birthplace as a prerequisite to registering to vote,” according to the press release.

“The court ruled that the birthplace requirement of House Bill 2492 violated a federal law that prevents election officials from rejecting voting materials for errors or omissions that are not material to determining a registrant’s qualifications to vote. The court previously ruled that Arizona may not require documentary proof of citizenship to vote in a federal election.”

Biden administration throws obstacles at Israeli op in Rafah while tooling an unfinished pier around the Eastern Med

    Elections have consequences.

The short summary of where Israel’s war in Gaza stands this week is that Israel has seized the Gaza side of the Rafah crossing and begun warnings and evacuation of Rafah, followed by bombing, in preparation for the final push to remove Hamas from Gaza. The Biden administration is attempting to impede this operation by touting a supposed ceasefire/hostages agreement with Hamas, warning Israel not to go into Rafah, and withholding a previously-approved and scheduled delivery of munitions to Israel in order to extort Israel’s policy compliance on the Rafah campaign matter.

    • The Debate over the IDF’s Rafah Operation and Joe Biden’s Interference
      by Antonio Graceffo May. 11, 2024 12:00 pm59 Comments

As Israel prepares for the final push through Rafah, President Biden announced that he will pause the delivery of some US weapons and ammunition to Israel, which is a huge mistake. It will embolden Hamas. Until a few days before, he was using US taxpayer money and US military personnel to build a pier to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, while simultaneously providing weapons to Israel. Ironically, the US also halted funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), the primary humanitarian agency operating in Gaza. Cutting funding to UNRWA was justified by the fact that some of its members were found to have been terrorists who participated in the October 7th attack on Israel. But now, Biden is giving aid, more or less directly, to Hamas.

Biden is playing both sides at the same time. It is a dangerous game, and it will win him nothing. Israel supporters hate him for it. And the pro-Hamas crowd is not going to be happy until he stops supporting Israel altogether, which will never happen.

In a recent survey, only 38% of voters believe the US is doing too much to support Israel, while 50% more voters trust Trump than Biden to handle the situation.

The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) has fought their way through to the final pocket of Rafah, which borders Egypt. The humanitarian crisis in Rafah is worsened by Egypt closing its border to keep out Hamas. With aid unable to enter through Egypt, Biden devised his nonsensical plan to airdrop aid to Gaza, helping Hamas hang on that much longer, prolonging the conflict and increasing civilian casualties.

    • Biden Regime Accuses Israel of Violating International Law in Their Attacks on Hamas in Gaza
      by Jim Hoft May. 11, 2024 1:20 pm186 Comments

The Biden regime on Friday accused Israel of using U.S. weapons in ways that violate international law.

The regime is pressuring Israel and Prime Minister Netanyahu not to invade Rafah in Gaza – the final stronghold of Hamas terrorists.

      Forbes reported:

The Biden administration said Friday it is “reasonable to assess” Israel has broken international law during the war in Gaza, multiple outlets reported, though the report didn’t definitively confirm any violations that would prompt a cutoff of U.S. aid—two days after President Joe Biden said “I’m not supplying the weapons” if Israel launches a broader offensive in southern Gaza.

Earlier this week Joe Biden threatened to cut off military aid to Israel as it continues its war against Hamas terrorists who murdered 1,200 Israelis on October 7, 2023.

Hamas is still holding over 130 Jews hostage including Americans.

On Wednesday, the Biden administration confirmed it was pausing a shipment of arms to Israel out of concern Israel will invade Rafah, a southeastern Gaza city in which an estimated million Palestinians are seeking refuge—and one of the only remaining parts of Gaza that hasn’t faced an Israeli ground incursion since Hamas’ attack last year. Later that day, Biden said he would not be “supplying the weapons” if Israel invaded Rafah. There has been growing pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to invade Rafah—from the U.S. and other allies—though Netanyahu said Thursday Israel “will stand alone” if it has to and will continue to fight until it defeats Hamas.

    • Day Before Biden Admin Announced It Would Withhold Weapons From Israel, It Issued Sanctions Waiver To Allow Arms Sales to Qatar and Lebanon

Less than a day before the Biden administration announced its intent to cut off U.S. arms sales to Israel, it issued a sanctions waiver to bypass congressional prohibitions on arms sales to a host of Arab nations that boycott the Jewish state, including Hamas ally Qatar and Iran-controlled Lebanon, the Washington Free Beacon has learned.

On Tuesday—just a day before President Joe Biden threatened to withhold key weapons deliveries from Israel if the country moves forward with an incursion in the Gaza Strip’s Rafah neighborhood—the State Department informed Congress that it intends to bypass laws that bar the United States from selling weapons to nations that boycott Israel, according to a copy of the notification obtained by the Free Beacon.

The Biden administration, which has waived these sanctions in the past, said in the notification that it intends to extend the waiver through April 30, 2025, allowing weapons to be sent to a host of nations that work closely with the Hamas terror group and other Iran-backed terror proxies.

While the administration determined that these countries engage in Israel boycotts, a condition that triggers American anti-boycott laws, bypassing these restrictions remains “in the U.S. national interest” to maintain regional stability, according to the waiver. But this justification is drawing scrutiny on Capitol Hill as the Biden administration threatens key arms shipments to Israel in a bid to force it into abandoning its campaign to eradicate Hamas.

“The Biden administration’s policy toward Israel and around the world is to punish our allies and boost our enemies,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, told the Free Beacon after reviewing the sanctions waiver. “They have sanctioned Israel and imposed an arms embargo. Meanwhile they’ve spent hundreds of millions pouring aid into the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, dismantled sanctions on Iran, and now are suspending congressional restrictions to send weapons to Israel’s enemies such as Qatar and Lebanon.”

A State Department spokesman told the Free Beacon that the department “remains committed to Israel’s security and defense.” While current law “prohibits leases and sales of defense articles to certain countries that maintain a boycott of Israel,” the president reserves the right to waive these restrictions if it is “in the national security interest,” the spokesman said.

“The United States has routinely exercised that waiver for years to permit continued security cooperation between the United States and regional partners and to enable U.S. officials to continue to work closely with those partners to eliminate further instances of boycott requests,” the spokesman said.

In the section related to Lebanon, where the Iran-backed Hezbollah terror group continues to attack Israel, the Biden administration admits the nation remains committed to a full-scale boycott of Israel.

But the administration justified waiving sanctions on arms sales because “it facilitates U.S. support for Lebanese stability, sovereignty, and efforts to undermine violent extremist influences,” according to the May 7 notification letter.

The administration provided a similar rationale for Qatar—which provides shelter to Hamas’s top leadership—saying an extension of the sanctions waiver “is in the U.S. national interest as it underscores the strength of our bilateral relationship, which is crucial to maintaining security in the region.”

Qatar’s central role in hostage talks between Israel and Hamas has recently become a subject of GOP consternation given the country’s status as Hamas’s top patron. Some lawmakers have called on the Biden administration to end its reliance on Qatar and increase pressure on the country to expel Hamas.

Biden threatened on Wednesday, meanwhile, to freeze American shipments of bombs and artillery shells to Israel if the country moves forward with an operation in Rafah, against which the United States has been lobbying for weeks.

“I made it clear that if they go into Rafah—they haven’t gone in Rafah yet—if they go into Rafah, I’m not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal with Rafah, to deal with the cities,” Biden told CNN on Wednesday.

The United States has reportedly already paused shipments of “high-payload munitions,” and Biden said he would not “supply the weapons and artillery shells” that Israel would need for an operation in Rafah.

  5. HORROR: Transgender Individual Coldly Mows Down Elderly Man TWICE With His Car – Then Gives Him the Kiss of Death Before Stabbing Him as Neighbors Watch (VIDEO)
    by Cullen Linebarger May. 11, 2024 11:20 am0 Comments

Horrifying video footage has captured the moment a transgender individual mowed down a helpless 64-year-old man named Steven Anderson twice and then fatally stabbed him earlier this month in Houston, Texas.

As The Daily Mail reported Saturday, the incident occurred on Woodridge Square Drive on May 3 in broad daylight. Police identified the suspect as 20-year-old Karon Fisher.

Fisher is identified in court records as a male, but the Houston Police Department (HPD) referred to the suspect as a female in a Monday statement. The author of this article will be using male pronouns to describe Fisher.

The footage starts with Fisher racing toward Anderson in his Dodge Challenger as the elderly man walks to get his mail. He proceeds to hit Anderson, then puts the car in reverse and runs him over again.

While horrified neighbors watch, Fisher returns to the scene with a knife. He proceeds to straddle and kiss Anderson before flipping him over and stabbing him at least nine times as the witnesses fail to intervene.

  6. Maria Bartiromo GOES OFF on Spineless and Silent GOP Lawmakers: ‘Let Me be Clear Viewers are Sick and Tired of Hearings… They Want Action’ While Trump Sits in Trial All Day Long (VIDEO)
    by Jim H?ft May. 11, 2024 11:00 am73 Comments

FOX News anchor Maria Bartiromo held nothing back as she confronted Congressman Russell Fry (R-SC) during an interview, expressing her frustration—and that of the public—at the inaction of the GOP lawmakers and lack of accountability amid the ongoing witch hunts against former President Donald Trump.

As Trump faces these politically motivated witch hunts—with nearly 100 felony counts across four jurisdictions—Bartiromo voiced the exasperation of a public weary of what they see as political theater without substantial outcomes. The counts against Trump carry a potential for roughly 700 years of combined incarceration.

During the interview, Bartiromo voiced the concerns of many Americans who are “sick and tired” of the constant stream of committee hearings and strongly worded letters that lead to no substantial outcomes.

“I want to get your take on the weaponization of government, Congressman, because I know that you’re on this subcommittee. However, I haven’t heard a peep out of this committee while Donald Trump sits in a courtroom in Manhattan all day long, while Joe Biden is over there campaigning, going to all the swing states. What do you want to say about the weaponization of government as Trump sits in that courtroom hearing from a porn star all day long?” Bartiromo asked.

  7. Entrepreneurs Face Major Headwinds Due to Big Government Policies
    by Guest Contributor May. 11, 2024 11:40 am24 Comments

The specter of stagflation has returned. On April 25th, The Bureau of Economic Analysis announced that GDP only grew by 1.6% in the first quarter of this year, well below expectations.

Consumer spending on goods actually declined in the quarter as ordinary Americans are financially tapped out. The report also showed inflation remains stubbornly high, continuing a recent trend of resurgent inflation running about twice the Federal Reserve’s target rate.

American small businesses are the biggest victims of the stagflationary economy, which is being weighed down by big government policies. This was the most important storyline coming out of this Month’s National Small Business Week.

President Biden is claiming a small business “boom” under his administration. The reality is entrepreneurs grapple with a triple threat: a decelerating economy, soaring inflation, and escalating credit expenses due to his bad policies.

American consumers have a record $1.2 trillion of credit card debt. They are experiencing declining real wages and face a cost-of-living crisis. They can’t afford to keep up their discretionary spending, which small businesses rely on to survive and thrive.

  8. Defending Freedom: A Tribute to the Warriors of Israel
    by Nils A. Haug
    May 10, 2024 at 5:00 am

These assaults are not only aimed at Israel and its inhabitants but, ultimately, at the West.

Adversaries of the West — whether religious fundamentalists or authoritarian states such as China, Russia, and Iran and its allies — appear intent upon imposing a new totalitarian world order. To do so, they seek destruction of the two main countries standing in their way: United States of America and Israel, the global champions of democracy, freedom, Western values, and human rights.

Regrettably, with freedom often comes the need to protect it, at times by force, from those who would take it away. Sometimes, this requires measures open to criticism by those who may have a different goal….

“Therefore, having judged that to be happy means to be free, and to be free means to be brave, we do not shy away from the risks of war.” — Pericles, funeral oration, 432 BCE.

Israel… is fighting for the values of civilization opposing terrorist barbarism so that the rest of us in the West will not have to. We should be sending whatever they need to end the terrorism, not withholding precision-guided weapons — especially, as we sanctimoniously claim, if we do not want to harm civilians.

“I have faith in the Jewish people. Let Israel be given a chance, let hatred and danger be removed from her horizons, and there will be peace in and around the Holy Land.” – Elie Wiesel, Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech, December 10, 1986.

As people of peace, the warriors and all citizens of Israel long for such a time with all their hearts, but first there are battles to be won.

As with the warriors of King David, the soldiers of Israel are again surrounded by enemies driven by hatred for the values represented by the Jewish nation and seeking their eradication. Once more, Israelis are called upon to resist forces threatening their destiny. Pictured: Israeli soldiers inspect the entrance to a Hamas terror tunnel just oustide an UNRRWA compound in Gaza City, on February 8, 2024. (Photo by Jack Guez/AFP via Getty Images)

The initial defenders of Jewish destiny — which later gave birth to the West’s Judeo-Christian cultural heritage — were a rather insignificant Middle Eastern tribe of Hebrews guided by somewhat obscure precepts recounted in five small books, and led in battles by their legendary leader, King David.

These early warriors were not only defenders of an ancient civilization, but early progenitors of the modern Jewish democratic nation and the West’s political tradition. Through their priests, kings, and prophets they became custodians of a Holy Writ that provided definitive truths, morality, ethics, freedoms, human rights, and principles of righteousness essential for future generations of humanity.

The motivating factors driving King David and his men apply equally to the current cohort of Israeli warriors, facing lethal attacks by terrorists little different in nature from King David’s earliest opponents. These assaults are not only aimed at Israel and its inhabitants but, ultimately, at the West. The underlying cause has not changed much through the ages.

It can be traced to tribes determined to impose their ideals, religion, and ideology on others everywhere.

Sometimes, this requires measures open to criticism by those who may have a different goal, or unable fully to understand the issues at play. Despite dissenting voices of the world, the soldiers of Israel, like the citizens of Ukraine, understand that if they wish to ensure their freedom, they must fight for it.

The Greek leader Pericles, in 432 BCE, declared in his funeral oration for the great Athenian warriors who sacrificed their lives in the first Peloponnesian war: “Therefore, having judged that to be happy means to be free, and to be free means to be brave, we do not shy away from the risks of war.”

Even with the risks involved, the soldiers of Israel, as inheritors of King David’s indomitable spirit, are, according to Yael Eckstein president of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, “more alive now than ever before, more motivated, passionate, and heroic than ever imagined.”

Although Israel’s soldiers originate from many nations, they possess the same intentions as their predecessors: to retain possession of their ancient homeland, providing a sanctuary for the unwanted Jewish scatterlings of the world in a safe setting they can call home; a shelter from the many nations despising them. To the soldiers of Israel, their country is a “city of refuge,” a place where their people can live in peace and, above all, a place they can worship their Creator in freedom.

The land of Israel can therefore be understood as a figurative cave of Adullam – where King David once assembled a motley collection of uprooted individuals of various origins but bound by mutual faith in their people’s right to be. As expressed by the ancient prophet Micah, “But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid.”

In the spirit of Judas Maccabeus, rebelling against threats to their faith and possession of their land, the soldiers of Israel now fight not only to rid the province of enemies seeking to eradicate them but to ensure peace, freedom of worship, and harmony with all those who call Israel home. The late UK Chief Rabbi, Lord Jonathan Sacks, pointed out that although the Maccabees were small in number, they “had a double portion of the Jewish spirit that longs for freedom and is prepared to fight for it.”

Israel’s soldiers have inherited that same spirit, inspiration and determination, the purpose and faith of a people baptized into battles necessary for survival of their nation. Rabbi Sacks metaphorically describes this continuity as a song where no single note or chord makes the song complete in itself for, “as music connects note to note, so faith connects episode to episode, life to life, age to age, in a timeless melody that breaks into time.”

Israel’s soldiers remember, perhaps, the fragility of King David’s struggles in securing the land from the Philistinian and Amalekite assaults; they might also recall when the tribe’s wives and children were abducted by enemies, how the Israelites pursued them and rescued their families. Those events were repeated by the unspeakable acts of Hamas on October 7th 2023 when Israel’s men, women, children and infants were beheaded, burned alive, raped, abused and abducted. The soldiers of Israel need to ensure, not out of vengeance but for the nation’s survival, that their adversaries can never commit such savage atrocities against their people again.

It is no coincidence that Gaza was the historic home of David’s avowed enemies, the Philistines. Goliath was a Philistine; David killed him not far from the caves of Adullam in the Kingdom of Judah, present-day Judea, in Israel’s heartland. In similar mode, Israel’s enemies invaded Judea in October 7th. Statements by these enemies openly acknowledge that they will continue hostilities and repeat attacks until all Jews are eliminated:

“The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, (evidently a certain kind of tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews (related by al- Bukhari and Moslem) – Hamas Covenant, Article 7, (from the Hadith: “The Book of Tribulations and Portents of the Last Hour,” 54:18)

Hamas official Ghazi Hamad has clearly said that the terror group will repeat the October 7 attack, time and again, until Israel is annihilated. He added that “Everything we do is justified.”

Clearly, many in Gaza and the West Bank remain enemies of Israel and are little different, if at all, in dedication and purpose, from their forebears. The October 7 massacre and the odious Western response to it has compelled Jews to confront a new generation of enemies determined to eradicate them.

The Israelite warriors of the past trusted the dictates of their leader, King David. Not only was he their commander, he was respected as a man of combat experience, as his encounter with Goliath testified. Similarly, Israel’s leaders in the war cabinet, commanders of their forces, are not only men of extensive combat experience in the current confrontation with jihadist terrorists, but, go to unprecedented lengths to honor the laws of ethical warfare as befits a nation dedicated to principles of human rights.

In contrast, Hamas, the instigators of hate, torture and murder, conduct terror operations against civilian targets – including their own (here and here). It is time for Western unity with Israel, which is fighting for the values of civilization opposing terrorist barbarism so that the rest of us in the West will not have to. We should be sending whatever they need to end the terrorism, not withholding precision-guided weapons – especially, as we sanctimoniously claim, if we do not want to harm civilians.

Henry Kissinger noted the importance of supporting a nation’s leaders in times of crisis: “Societies become great not by factional triumphs but by common purpose and reconciliation.”

As with the warriors of King David, the soldiers of Israel are again surrounded by enemies driven by hatred for the values represented by the Jewish nation and seeking their eradication. Once more, Israelis are called upon to resist forces threatening their destiny. That is the crux of the matter: the battle is both religious and nationalist: a mortal contest between terrorists and a people who insist on the values of individual freedom and the right to think without restriction.

Encouraged by the words of Yitzhak Lamdan, “Never again shall Masada fall,” Israel fights for all that is beautiful, free and democratic, and shall protect civilization to the end. It is therefore incumbent upon a new cohort of great men and women, the latest giborei Yisrael – heroes of Israel – to secure the nation so that its hard-won freedoms, values, and moral-ethical precepts, can be enjoyed by subsequent generations.

Finally, Israel’s brave warriors might identify with Eli Wiesel’s statement in his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech of December 10, 1986:

“I have faith in the Jewish people. Let Israel be given a chance, let hatred and danger be removed from her horizons, and there will be peace in and around the Holy Land.”

As people of peace, the warriors and all citizens of Israel long for such a time with all their hearts, but first there are battles to be won.

  10. IRS Threatens to Target Biden’s Critics, Those Who Question Washington’s ‘Ability to Govern’
    by Ben Kew May. 11, 2024 6:00 pm76 Comments

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is threatening to come after individuals or organizations who question Joe Biden or the federal government’s “ability to govern,” it has confirmed.

According to a report from independent journalist Ken Klippenstein, the IRS is planning to expand its investigative interests to those who threaten the federal government’s “ability to govern” or present a “threat to the public safety or national security interests of the United States.”

    He wrote in his Substack:

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is positioned to do much more than just collect your taxes as it turns its attention to individuals who threaten the U.S. government’s “ability to govern,” a vague new criteria for criminal investigations, according to its own operating manual.

Buried in the fine print is the revelation that the IRS is pivoting away from its post-9/11 focus on financing of foreign terror groups like al Qaeda and criminal money laundering to a much broader and ill-defined “national security” threat. The shift, revealed in the latest versions of the voluminous Internal Revenue Manual, applies to IRS participation in dozens of federal government “national security” investigative task forces, which were previously referred to as “narcotics and terrorism” task forces until late last year.

Klippenstein goes on to make the case that such criteria is not typically within the investigative remit of a tax collecting agency:

    by Jim H?ft May. 11, 2024 5:40 pm75 Comments

The California Supreme Court declared that law enforcement officers cannot detain individuals because they attempt to avoid police contact. This unanimous decision has stirred a significant response from police unions, who argue that it will hamper their ability to maintain public safety effectively.

The court, in a 7-0 decision, stated that actions such as appearing to conceal oneself or acting nervously do not alone provide a sufficient basis for officers to detain individuals.

This was elaborated in an opinion by Justice Carol Corrigan, emphasizing that while such behaviors could be considered within a broader context, they do not meet the threshold of “reasonable suspicion of criminal activity” necessary to legally detain someone.

The ruling stemmed from the case of Marlon Flores, arrested in 2019 in a gang-infested area of Los Angeles. The court’s papers detail how Flores appeared to avoid police by hiding behind a vehicle, trying to tie his shoes and avoiding contact with police, actions that the officers initially deemed suspicious, according to Epoch Times.

  15. “It Simply Does Not Make Any Sense”: Judge Trashes Election Lawsuit by the Elias Law Firm
    (MSNBC/via YouTube)

The firm of former Clinton campaign general counsel Marc Elias has lost another election case in a spectacular fashion. The Chief Judge of the Western District of Wisconsin, James Peterson (an Obama appointee), did not just reject but ridiculed the Elias Law Group challenge to a witness requirement for absentee voting. Elias has been previously sanctioned in court and accused of lying in the Steele dossier scandal by journalists and others.

U.S. District Judge James Peterson ruled against the lawsuit brought by the Elias Law Group, arguing that the witness requirement violated the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The state statute under § 6.87(2) describes what the witness must certify. The statute first sets forth in two sentences what the voter must certify on the ballot envelope. The first requirement concerns the voter certifying that he or she meets the requirements for voting generally and for voting absentee in Wisconsin.

The second requirement is certification that the voter followed the process for preparing the absentee ballot. These are the called the “first voter certification” and the “witness certification.”

The witness certification refers to a witness certifying “all of the above,” which is obviously referring to the language on preparing the absentee ballot.

Elias argued that it requires certification of everything that preceded it on the details of the voter’s record etc.

In the court’s opinion, Judge Peterson expresses disbelief at the lunacy of the Elias argument, writing:
