Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  5. Israel targeted and eliminated an Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) operative in Tehran, Iran who was allegedly involved in targeting Jews in Germany, Israeli media, citing an Iran International correspondent, reported on Monday.

    According to the reports, the eliminated operative had caused damage to Jewish centers in Germany. However, aside from the initial identification, no further information or details about the assassination or confirmation of who was behind it have been released.

    I hypothesize that the reason is geographical. Nations to the west are captured by the Iron Curtain inversed-polarity phenomenon. Those to the east don’t care because they were never captured, and never really departed their historical paradigms sufficiently enough to give Wokeness any heed.

      Virginia Commonwealth University has become the latest epicenter of violent protests, as pro-Hamas supporters occupied parts of the campus, leading to a tense standoff with riot police. Authorities issued a shelter-in-place order for all students.

      The confrontation began Monday morning when a group of student protesters established what they called a “Liberation Zone” outside the James Branch Cabell Library on VCU’s Monroe Park campus. The group displayed Palestinian flags and chanted “Free Palestine,” demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and calling for VCU to sever all financial ties with Israel.

      As the day progressed, tents were erected, and protesters fortified their position by forming a barrier around the zone.

      As the day progressed, the situation intensified with pro-Hamas supporters occupying the library and courtyard. Police responded by deploying tear gas and pepper spray after protesters hurled objects at officers.

    Residents in Louisiana’s Democrat-run capital city have won a historic battle to secede and create their own city following a lengthy court battle.

    As the New York Times reported, the Louisiana Supreme Court cleared the way on Friday for a group of mostly-white, affluent residents of Baton Rouge to secede and form the new city of St. George. This is the first city incorporated in the Pelican State in almost two decades.

    In the 4-3 ruling, the justices found that lower courts were wrong in blocking St George’s creation over concerns of its financial viability.

    Andrew Murrell, one of the leaders of the St. George movement, released the following statement after the Louisiana Supreme Court’s decision.

    This is the culmination of citizens exercising their constitutional rights. We voted and we won.

    Whether you are for or you are against St. George, now is your opportunity, a historic opportunity, to create a city from the beginning, from the ground up. It’s your ideas, it’s your policies, it’s your way of life and now you can come together and put those out there and have someone accountable to you.

    In a long-form interview with the former president, journalist Eric Cortellessa establishes Trump’s key failing in his first term in office; he didn’t go far enough.

    According to Cortellessa, Trump is planning his retribution through a series of policies, including a mass deportation campaign, gutting the deep state, and pardoning those involved in the January 6th protests.

    Yes, freedom and liberty are messy sometimes. So- who is willing to adopt our American system and try to make it work anymore? Let’s talk about that.

    Key Point: Democracy in the American republic refers to the system of government in which power is vested in the people, who exercise that power either directly or through elected representatives. The United States operates as a representative democracy, some people say a Constitutional Republic, also known as a republic, where citizens elect officials to represent their interests and make decisions on their behalf. Critical features of democracy in the American republic include free and fair elections, separation of powers among the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government, protection of individual rights and freedoms, and adherence to the rule of law. The democratic process in the American republic allows for participation, accountability, and the ability to change leadership through regular elections peacefully.

    But that all seems dead to the American people now.

    DEMOCRACY NEEDS A PEACEFUL TRANSFER OF POWER

    In a democracy, a peaceful transfer of power ensures continuity, stability, and legitimacy of governance. It upholds the rule of law, fosters trust in institutions and prevents political turmoil or violence. This fundamental practice honors the people’s will, safeguarding the essence of democracy and promoting societal harmony.

    Yet, as the American people scan the political landscape in the United States of America, they are confronted with childishness and massive betrayal. And Congress appears too busy to care.

    Internal FBI Documents Expand on RMVEs and Other Domestic Terrorists

    In the last article on the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) response by the FBI provided to AmmoLand News by Gun Owners of America (GOA), the FBI is worried about so-called racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists (RMVEs) teaming up with Islamic foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs) to bring chaos to the homeland. This article is going to dive into who the FBI thinks are RMVEs and who else the federal enforcement agency considers to be domestic terrorists.

    As reported here, the FBI states that RMVEs are white nationalists and white supremacists. The documents don’t list any other races with the RMVE title. The FBI states that “hate is not a crime” and says it cannot investigate First Amendment-protected speech but then claims that the RMVEs “are responsible for the most lethal attacks.” The document claims that many of the RMVEs are domestic terrorists. Some other examples of domestic terrorists the Bureau gives in the document are anti-government and anti-authority extremists (AGAAVE).
    The FBI says that RMVEs are targeting racial, ethnic, and religious minorities. It says that historically, RMVEs acted within nationalized, hierarchical groups, but recently, attacks have transitioned to decentralized lone offenders or small cells. The FBI says these attacks are often against soft targets like religious facilities. Many times, these locations are “gun-free” zones, leaving the partitioners unable to defend themselves.

    The government is also concerned that manifestos posted online and “ideologically-driven” websites are radicalizing Americans to become RMVEs. Some examples of manifestos on the FBI list are 2083, Siege, and The Great Replacement. The websites it lists are Fascist Forge and the Atomwaffen Division’s website.

    One group that the FBI is concerned with is the California-based Rise Against Movement (RAM). The group formed out of the neo-NAZI skinhead movement. The group shares members with other NAZI groups like Patriot Front and the former Identify Evropa. The group’s members have also traveled to other countries, such as Ukraine, to network with groups like the Ukraine-based “Azov Movement.”

    The FBI says that the federal law enforcement agency to investigate domestic terrorism requires the existence of a potential federal violation, the unlawful use of force or violence, and the existence of ideological motivation. Out of these domestic terrorists, the FBI seems to be more worried about “lone offender attacks” than an organized attack from a domestic terrorist group. The government agency says the primary tool for lone wolf attackers is firearms.

    The FBI claims that there have been 21 attacks between 2015 and 2019. The FBI lists 74 deaths at the hands of these attackers. In addition to the murders, the FBI also listed 120 arrests of domestic terrorists in 2018. Interestingly, the FBI included the arrest of suspected domestic terrorists for charges such as fraud, drug offenses, and probation violations.
    RMVEs are not the only groups that the FBI is concerned about being domestic terrorists. Other threats, according to the FBI, include AGAAVE, which includes anarchist extremism, militia extremism, animal rights/environmental extremism, and abortion extremism. The FBI also mentions Sovereign citizens and highlights their frivolous legal filings and financial schemes.

    Pro-life lone offenders are the “greatest threat,” according to the FBI. It says that abortion providers are at risk of violence by these people. It also highlights property destruction and arson by the pro-life side. In addition to the pro-life crowd, the FBI is worried about what it calls involuntary celibate violent extremism (IVE) by so-called “incels.” Incels are men that blame women for “denying them sexual and romantic attention.” The FBI believes this group is the most likely to carry out a mass casualty event.

    The FBI claims that these domestic terrorists are using social media and encrypted chat platforms to communicate with other like-minded individuals. People concerned about government snooping use encrypted communications apps like Signal to protect their communications from the federal government’s watchful eye. Others have used apps like Telegram because they falsely believe it is encrypted by default. The FBI believes that using encryption technologies is one of its most significant challenges when monitoring these groups.

    We’ve written about it repeatedly. It’s gang violence that’s rampant across America, not so-called “gun violence.” The problem has become so bad that even full-time partisan political hack and part-time Attorney General Merrick Garland admitted as much at an ATF “summit” just days ago. Of course, the mainstream media ignored it. What’s more, his comment even escaped most of the alternative news outlets as well.

    Garland abandoned his “Christian Nationalist” and “White Supremacist” bogeymen to admit that gangs members and repeat offenders are driving the gun violence problem in America. And for the slow-witted trolls in comments, this isn’t the MAGA gang either.

    Here is an excerpt from the transcript provided by the US Department of Justice:

    We are using our prosecutorial and technological tools to identify the repeat offenders and gangs who are principally responsible for community violence.

    And here’s the video which begins at 28:00 when Garland admits what we’ve known for a long, long time: that repeat offenders and gang members (sorry for repeating ourselves in so many instances) are driving violent crime:

    Yes, the mainstream media and left-leaning pols love to redirect low-information voters from violent criminals to the tools they misuse.

    I love it when soft-on-crime politicians get very defensive and very animated when you talk about gang violence in their presence or correct them when they throw out the “gun violence” talking point.

    “We don’t talk about gangs,” one Illinois State Representative from Chicago said to me as I sat in his office in my role as executive director of Guns Save Life. His body language screamed his discomfort at where the conversation was headed.

    “Why’s that?” I asked, knowing that gangs deliver votes and even campaign volunteers come election time. At least they do in Chicagoland.

    He didn’t want to answer but watching him literally squirm in his chair proved priceless for me and those with me.

    If Chicago is typical of deep blue, high-crime urban areas, gangs drive the great majority of shootings. In Decatur, virtually every fatal shooting and even most of the non-fatal shootings are the result of black gang members shooting at one another. Usually they shoot up one another or family members of gang members, but unfortunately, sometimes they hit innocent people too.

    Like Robbie Patton, a sociopathic predator who will never contribute anything but sewage and sadness to our society. Patton shot at and tried to murder some others who “disrespected” one of his fellow bangers at a Steak and Shake in nearby Champaign, Illinois. Then he led police on a high-speed chase while driving a stolen (carjacked?) car. He got away but was picked up days later. Instead of doing hard time for attempted murder, he was sentenced to “boot camp” for a few months before being released eight months into an eight-year sentence.

    Within two days of his release he was arrested (and released) again for drugs. Two weeks after that, he had another stolen gun. When he felt “disrespected,” he pulled that gun out and started shooting, hitting three with his shots.

    Among his victims was George Korchev, out celebrating his graduation from nursing school. Korchev also celebrated landing a new job saving lives as a nurse in a suburban Chicago hospital.

    Unfortunately, Korchev became the unintended backstop to one of Patton’s errant rounds, getting hit a block away. He wouldn’t make it to work that next Monday because he died from the wound—caused by the gang banger and repeat offender Robbie Patton and his lack of impulse control.

    Korchev was set to start a life as a productive citizen, helping to save lives. He would have gotten married, had kids and raised a productive family. George would have given his parents grandchildren. He would have lived probably 60 more years, contributing positive energy to making our world a better place by saving lives and treating the sick. But all of that was taken away by not sentencing a habitual criminal thug named Robbie Patton to hard time in prison where he belonged.

    When you hear friends or family lament “gun violence,” remind them that it’s not “gun violence” but gang violence that drives so much of the criminal violence in our large urban areas as well as mid-sized cities across America. Even Merrick Garland says so.

    Three janitors claim the pro-Hamas insurrectionists at Columbia University temporarily held them hostage during the takeover of a campus building, reports Fox News.

    “They held me hostage,” one maintenance man told the Columbia Spectator, a student newspaper. Fox News adds that at around 12:30 a.m., the Jew-hating insurrectionists stormed Hamilton Hall. The mob then “shattered windows, barricaded doors using tables and chairs, and obscured the windows of the facility.”

    A man reportedly killed another man at a bus stop close to the Las Vegas Strip and proceeded to eat parts of the victim’s face.

    The Las Vegas Journal has reported that 31-year-old Clinton Czech has been arrested and charged with open murder.

    The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported they responded to a physical altercation call around 4:40 a.m. on Sunday.

    When police arrived on the scene, one man was seen unresponsive and bleeding from his head.

    A young man working as a chef has died while running a marathon in Nashville.

    Joey Fecci, 26, was found unresponsive in the Shelby Park portion of the race and emergency responders performed CPR, according to the organizers of the St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series.

    Fecci was then transported to a nearby hospital where he died on Saturday.

    WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will move to reclassify marijuana as a less dangerous drug, The Associated Press has learned, a historic shift to generations of American drug policy that could have wide ripple effects across the country.

    The DEA’s proposal, which still must be reviewed by the White House Office of Management and Budget, would recognize the medical uses of cannabis and acknowledge it has less potential for abuse than some of the nation’s most dangerous drugs. However, it would not legalize marijuana outright for recreational use.

    The agency’s move, confirmed to the AP on Tuesday by five people familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive regulatory review, clears the last significant regulatory hurdle before the agency’s biggest policy change in more than 50 years can take effect.

    Once OMB signs off, the DEA will take public comment on the plan to move marijuana from its current classification as a Schedule I drug, alongside heroin and LSD. It moves pot to Schedule III, alongside ketamine and some anabolic steroids, following a recommendation from the federal Health and Human Services Department. After the public comment period and a review by an administrative judge, the agency would eventually publish the final rule.

    It comes after President Joe Biden called for a review of federal marijuana law in October 2022 and moved to pardon thousands of Americans convicted federally of simple possession of the drug. He has also called on governors and local leaders to take similar steps to erase marijuana convictions.

    “Criminal records for marijuana use and possession have imposed needless barriers to employment, housing, and educational opportunities,” Biden said in December. “Too many lives have been upended because of our failed approach to marijuana. It’s time that we right these wrongs.”

    The election year announcement could help Biden, a Democrat, boost flagging support, particularly among younger voters.

    Biden and a growing number of lawmakers from both major political parties have been pushing for the DEA decision as marijuana has become increasingly decriminalized and accepted, particularly by younger people. A Gallup poll last fall found 70% of adults support legalization, the highest level yet recorded by the polling firm and more than double the roughly 30% who backed it in 2000.

    The DEA didn’t respond to repeated requests for comment.

    Schedule III drugs are still controlled substances and subject to rules and regulations, and people who traffic in them without permission could still face federal criminal prosecution.

    Some critics argue the DEA shouldn’t change course on marijuana, saying rescheduling isn’t necessary and could lead to harmful side effects.

    Jack Riley, a former deputy administrator of the DEA, said he had concerns about the proposed change because he thinks marijuana remains a possible “gateway drug,” one that may lead to the use of other drugs.

    “But in terms of us getting clear to use our resources to combat other major drugs, that’s a positive,” Riley said, noting that fentanyl alone accounts for more than 100,000 deaths in the U.S. a year.

    On the other end of the spectrum, others argue marijuana should be treated the way alcohol is.

    Last week, 21 Democrats led by Senate Majority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York sent a letter to DEA Administrator Anne Milgram and Attorney General Merrick Garland arguing marijuana should be dropped from the controlled-substances list and instead regulated like alcohol.

    “It is time for the DEA to act,” the lawmakers wrote. “Right now, the Administration has the opportunity to resolve more than 50 years of failed, racially discriminatory marijuana policy.”

    Federal drug policy has lagged behind many states in recent years, with 38 having already legalized medical marijuana and 24 legalizing its recreational use.

    That’s helped fuel fast growth in the marijuana industry, with an estimated worth of nearly $30 billion. Easing federal regulations could reduce the tax burden that can be 70% or more for businesses, according to industry groups. It could also make it easier to research marijuana, since it’s very difficult to conduct authorized clinical studies on Schedule I substances.

    The immediate effect of rescheduling on the nation’s criminal justice system would likely be more muted, since federal prosecutions for simple possession have been fairly rare in recent years.

    But loosening restrictions could carry a host of unintended consequences in the drug war and beyond.

    Critics point out that as a Schedule III drug, marijuana would remain regulated by the DEA. That means the roughly 15,000 cannabis dispensaries in the U.S. would have to register with the DEA like regular pharmacies and fulfill strict reporting requirements, something that they are loath to do and that the DEA is ill equipped to handle.

    Then there’s the United States’ international treaty obligations, chief among them the 1961 Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs, which requires the criminalization of cannabis. In 2016, during the Obama administration, the DEA cited the U.S.’ international obligations and the findings of a federal court of appeals in Washington in denying a similar request to reschedule marijuana.
