Yesterday I had to go to a big government building. I walked up to the security desk at the front and said, “Hello. Please check to see if I’m still in your database. I’m going in.”
Like a sloth, the older black man stopped speaking French to his neighbor and reached first for a tissue on his desk. On his face was etched the expression that detected the scent of excrement in the air. He clutched my identification card delicately between his thumb and index finger, carefully using the tissue as a buffer between my disease and his skin.
I wasn’t in the computer so had to wait for my contact. It had been some years since I was here. The pagentry of humanity had evolved. Gone was the stationary engineer who used to run the building. He was a plumber who had nabbed his nice government gig to get off the tools and spare his arthritis. He knew every square inch of this massive complex, knew how it worked, what it needed, and where to do repairs.
I waited and watched now the promenading spectacle of Dear Leader’s hand in the revolution. The stationary engineer who arrived to escort my group was a dwarf female lesbian evidenced by her Mohawked head and the feather tattoo beneath her left ear. The project manager on the government side was a middle-aged woman with no fish and no meat, and soon to reveal no knowledge. I have not seen so many face masks in a while.
Through the expansive lobby strolled more than one man bun, which I thought had gone extinct. Diversity, inclusion and equity bipedalled in glorious splendor, unhurried and unfettered by the sense of urgency that is infused by the sense of duty. (As an aside, I have dismissed potential employees by how they walked, before they even knew they were judged on this basis. Do not walk slowly or drift on my watch.)
The fat, the comfortable, the woke, the lazy, the entitled, the incompetent, the angry, the overpaid and the insulated floated by me on the marble floor. And this was just one guy coming from lunch.
I left realizing what a dinasaur I have become. Homo Extinctus. That’s me. Some day future generations will see my picture in a book, if books exist. I will be the next in the line of humanoids lost. I walk upright in a straight line. My pelt is pale, my mission clear, my DNA intact. I eat meat and protect my young. I take responsibility for my actions. And despite the muted animus of tissued, revolutionary fingers, I’m not going anywhere, yet.

Peskov is clearly hinting at a return to strategic dialogue.
That is, there is still a chance that the problem of jihadists can become a common denominator for the start of negotiations. This opens up opportunities for a return to discuss Erdogan’s proposals for strategic stability.
If this does not happen with a high degree of probability, blows to bridges across the Dnieper (including in Kiev) and new attempts to achieve blackout as now will be added to strikes on energy and gas storage in Kharkov.
In short: “We’re willing to pretend this was ISIS if you sit back at the table and make some amends while working toward common goals. But if you want to play hard ball, we’ll “find” blame for Ukraine and then up the temperature severely on them, by way of massive infrastructure strikes and military escalations.”

Investigators are now telling us it could take 24 months to find answers surrounding one of the worst maritime crashes in American History. This is as we learn an elite Coast Guard team is inspecting 13 Centers for Disease Control containers that were on board labeled with the warning “Hazardous Materials.” This raises all kinds of questions. Why is the CDC sending Hazmat containers to Sir Lanka? That is where the Dali was headed when it left the Port of Baltimore before crashing into the Scott Key Francis Bridge.
Investigative Reporter Lara Logan is also sounding the alarm. Her sources insist the crash could have been part of a cyber attack designed to bring the economy to a halt.

The Department of Justice Office of Public Affairs announced charges against seven hackers associated with Chinese Communist Government for targeting perceived critics of China and US businesses and politicians.
The seven Chinese hackers were named in the DOJ press release.
The victims were politicians from both parties and critics of the Chinese Communist regime. However, the politicians were not named in the DOJ report.

Four Dead, Several Injured in Stabbing Spree in Northern Illinois — Suspect in Custody (VIDEO)

The city of Rockford, Illinois, has been plunged into mourning following a horrific stabbing spree that left four people dead and seven others injured on Wednesday afternoon.
The Rockford Police Department responded to a medical emergency call at approximately 1:14 p.m., which quickly escalated into a multi-scene investigation leading to the discovery of multiple victims.
Authorities confirmed that the violence unfolded across several locations in the northern Illinois city, approximately 94 miles from Chicago.
Police Chief Carla Redd addressed the media, extending her deepest sympathies to the victims’ families and indicating that a 22-year-old male suspect was promptly taken into custody for questioning. However, still no ID was released.

During a recent appearance on MSNBC, far left Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison said that he is investigating two major automakers for making cars that are too easy for young people to steal.
This is the sort of backwards thinking that the left is forcing on the rest of the country.
They don’t want to charge criminals for stealing cars, they want to attack the car makers for making the cars too easy to steal. It’s really amazing that Ellison can go on national TV and say this with a straight face.

This is an example of the way the Gun Control BS spreads, they are trying to blame the firearms manufactures for the crimes committed with the guns. Now they are trying to blame the auto manufactures for the criminal actions of those who steal the cars. If this continues it won’t be long before the left is insisting that we need bio-metric controls on all internal combustion vehicles.

Carrying a concealed knife with a shape edge over 31/2 inches is already illegal in all states, some of the states say 21/4 inches and New York and California forbid owning a knife with both edges sharpened. This makes the traditional dagger illegal and stops people sharpening the recurve/false edge on Bowie knives.

FIRST ON FOX: Republican Attorney General Andrew Bailey of Missouri filed a petition in state court on Monday to enforce a civil investigative demand, similar to a subpoena, into the advertising materials of left-wing nonprofit group Media Matters for America.
“Media Matters has used fraud to solicit donations from Missourians in order to trick advertisers into removing their advertisements from X, formerly Twitter, one of the last platforms dedicated to free speech in America,” Bailey wrote in the petition, first obtained by Fox News Digital.
In November, Media Matters published a report that said X would place ads next to “pro-Nazi” content. Elon Musk, owner of X, filed a lawsuit against Media Matters, saying the group falsely and deceptively manipulated the algorithm on X. In his filing, Bailey said, “through coordinated, inauthentic behavior” in an attempt to “defame the organization and cause advertisers to pull their support from the platform, thus harming free speech,”

Mass migration exposes the United States’ food supply to diseases and parasites that could ultimately affect national security, animal health experts told The Epoch Time
With unfettered illegal immigration—some 9 million encounters since 2021—the normal guardrails for inspection are ignored, raising the likelihood of unwanted diseases being brought across the border.
Dr. Michael Vickers has been a veterinarian for about 50 years and served on the Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC),
The threat to the food supply is already apparent from the past cases of tuberculosis (TB) transmitted from illegal immigrants to dairy cows in Texas, he said.
Concerns are growing that it’s only a matter of time before U.S. agriculture experiences a fresh disaster on a grand scale, Dr. Vickers said.
“These people are just destroying our country. And our food supply is going to be a real critical issue,” he told The Epoch Times.
In recent years, thousands of Texas cattle have been slaughtered after being infected with drug-resistant TB through contact with illegal aliens who end up working in dairies, Dr. Vickers said.
He recalled two separate instances in which dairy herds were infected with human strains of TB in the Texas Panhandle. Certain strains of TB are zoonotic, meaning that they can be spread between humans and animals.
One Texas herd of about 10,000 was affected in Castro County in 2015, and another 13,000 cattle were affected in Sherman County in 2019, according to TAHC records.
Investigators found that the human strains had originated outside of the United States.
“Most of the dairy herds in the United States are actually milked by people from Central America and beyond,” Dr. Vickers said.
The USDA bought the Castro County herd and slaughtered it, he said. The Sherman County herd, which consisted of higher-priced organic cows, continued to be tested for TB, with infected animals removed from the herd.
Dr. Vickers said he learned that 12 illegal immigrants who were working with those dairy herds were infected with TB.
Rules meant to keep people who are carrying disease out of the United States have been sidelined under the Biden administration, according to Ammon Blair, a border security advocate at the Texas Public Policy Foundation and former Border Patrol agent.
“We’re really just mass releasing these people into the United States that could be carrying multiple diseases that aren’t even checked,” he told The Epoch Times.

Survey Finds Tallahassee Residents Are Afraid. Here’s Why They Feel That Way.

Fear is a powerful motivator in a lot of ways. Ukraine, for example, had a lot of gun control until they feared invasion from Russia. Here in the United States, a lot of people buy guns because they’re afraid. They move to different neighborhoods or even different states. They do all sorts of things out of fear.

But we need to remember that there rational fears and irrational fears. Our fears can be the product of legitimate problems or they can be the result of perceptions with no grounding in reality.
A recent survey in Tallahassee, Florida found that a lot of people have fear. They fear getting shot.
Amid a year of almost record violence, the Tallahassee-Leon County Council on the Status of Men and Boys surveyed the community to gauge residents’ perception of safety, main causes of violence and potential solutions.
Now, the results are in — nearly half of local residents are concerned they’ll lose a loved one to gun violence.
The local organization conducted a 19-question, online survey in May 2023 — right before last year’s peak time of violence — that was sent out to Tallahassee and Leon County residents 18 years or older. The survey received 668 legitimate responses.
The City Commission requested an update from the organization and will be discussing the survey’s results at Wednesday’s meeting.
How safe do you feel where you live?
The first section of the survey aimed to gain an understanding of the community’s sense of safety. Respondents were asked how safe they felt during the day and during the night where they live. The survey found that 92% said they feel safe during the day and 73% said they feel safe at night.
More than half said the area in which they live has maintained the same level of safety in the past year, but 45% — almost half — of respondents indicated some level of concern that they would lose a loved one to gun violence.

Now, that’s concerning, to say the least. The odds are, however, that they won’t.
So why do they think that way?
Well, let’s look at what we know about violent crime in Tallahassee for a moment, and here we luck up a bit.
It seems a couple of researchers at FSU–also conveniently located in Tallahassee–took a look at shooting incidents between 2019 and 2023. This was conducted last year, so it didn’t contain all the shootings in the city, but it did look at 733 of them, which I’d say looks like a decent sample size to me.
And what did they find?
Well, for starters, most of the shootings took place in just four neighborhoods.
As such, it’s unlikely that most people would ever know anyone being shot because most people simply don’t live in those four neighborhoods, nor spend all that much time in and around them.
Yet people are scared they’re going to lose someone they care about. Why?
Because the media has indoctrinated people into believing that so-called gun violence is rampant. They’ve done all they can to convince people the problem is worse than it is so they can leverage that into political will to enact gun control laws that don’t actually do much of anything.
And it’s working. There was some feedback included in the survey.
According to the survey summary, respondents wrote things such as:
“ADVOCATE FOR BETTER GUN LAWS.”
“Make guns less available!”
“Our youth need early opportunities to develop skills that offer purpose, a positive identity, and a career path.”
“Safe, decent & affordable housing, healthy food options, accessible health care, a living wage, affordable & accessible culturally competent behavioral health services.”
“Hiring more cops so they can proactively police instead of being reactive.”
“Actually punish those who commit gun crimes. Make the penalty harsh enough to where people do not want to commit gun violence.”

So yeah, at least some people are pushing for gun control in response to a situation where people who got guns despite gun laws are creating problems for the law-abiding. Others, thankfully, have more grounding in reality, but the issue is we don’t know just how many favor one approach over another.
Which I suspect is by design, but I’m becoming more cynical in my old age.
Either way, this perception is warped not by reality, but by reporting. The old line “if it bleeds, it leads,” has morphed into a kind of activism that tries to favor certain kinds of bleeding as somehow being more newsworthy, shaping perceptions.
At the end of the day, though, violence is a people issue and that’s where attention needs to be focused.

Federal Judge Has Bad News for Hunter Biden, Says There’s Zero Evidence His Charges Are Politically Motivated

There were allegations aplenty at a Wednesday hearing on the federal tax charges against Hunter Biden, but what bothered U.S. District Judge Mark Scarsi was the paucity of facts connecting the charges with efforts by congressional Republicans to probe the murky depths of the Biden family’s finances.
Although Scarsi did not make a decision, he signaled in the Los Angeles hearing that defense arguments that the Biden administration’s Justice Department was doing former President Donald Trump’s bidding were not persuasive, according to CNN.
Scarsi, who is dealing with nine motions from Hunter Biden’s attorneys, said he would issue a ruling by April 17, according to The Washington Post.
One motion claiming “selective and vindictive” prosecution appeared to irk the judge.

Diddy’s $40 Million Mansion That Was Raided Has Underwater Tunnel

The Gateway Pundit reported on Monday that Homeland Security agents raided rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Comb’s $40 million mansion as part of an ongoing sex trafficking investigation.
Combs was notably missing during the raid and was reportedly in Miami when the raid took place.
The Los Angeles Times reported Comb’s mansion, located in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles, measures 17,000 square feet and has a 3,000 square-foot guesthouse.
The outlet also noted Comb’s mansion had an underwater swimming tunnel that connects to a grotto.

Eight States Plan to Ban the Sale of Gas-Powered Vehicles as Joe Biden Issues New Rules to Begin Killing Them Off

The Gateway Pundit reported last week that Joe Biden issued the most radical environmental rules in American history to phase out gasoline-powered vehicles and force customers to drive ineffective electric cars. Now, a new report has revealed the effort to finish off the gas-powered car is well-underway in eight states.
As The Daily Mail reported Tuesday, the rules being adopted in these states specify that only zero-emission vehicles, which include electric vehicles and certain plug-in hybrids, can be sold beginning with the 2035 model year. This is known as the Advanced Clean Cars II rule.
The eight states that have pledged to force their constituents to drive environmentally damaging electric vehicles are California, Rhode Island, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Washington. The District of Columbia has also signed off.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has arrested a Mexican citizen carrying child pornography at a Texas port of entry.
The incident occurred at the Laredo Port of Entry on Friday, March 22.
According to a press release from CBP, “officers at Juarez-Lincoln Bridge referred a bus passenger, a male Mexican citizen, for secondary inspection due to a system-generated alert.”
“During secondary examination, CBP officers found the subject in possession of child pornographic material, discovered within his personal belongings,” the press release continued.
The man was arrested and Homeland Security Investigations special agents are investigating the case.

President Trump attended the wake of fallen NYPD officer Jonathan Diller in Massapequa Park, New York on Thursday.
Officer Diller was shot and killed by a career criminal in New York City with 21 previous arrests and nine felony charges.
President Trump also reportedly gave a generous donation to Tunnel to Towers, the foundation that paid off the family mortgage of slain NYPD officer Jonathan Diller.

Schumer Has Crossed a Red Line Over Israel
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer last Thursday crossed a political red line that had never before been breached by a leader of his stature and never should be again.
In a speech on the Senate floor, he told the people of Israel—one of our closest allies, a true democracy that is at war with an enemy that hates America as well as the Jews—that they should vote their prime minister out of office because “he has lost his way.”

Mr. Schumer ended his argument by lecturing our Israeli friends that if Mr. Netanyahu and his coalition remain in power, “then the U.S. will have no choice but to play a more active role in shaping Israel’s policy by using our leverage to change the present course.”
This is a shocking statement that treats Israel differently from other American allies by threatening to intervene in their domestic democratic politics. In making American support for Israel conditional, Mr. Schumer harms Israel’s credibility among its allies and enemies alike.
Mr. Schumer’s statement will have every other democratic ally of the U.S. worrying that America may try to bully our way into its domestic politics. That will diminish our allies’ loyalty to us. Without dependable allies, we will have a much harder time protecting America’s security, prosperity and freedom…
