Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  1. U.S. government debt is growing faster than is economic growth. Last Friday’s Jobs Report will go down as a classic dish of baked numbers.

    If a debt is too big to pay off, and too big to service, what is it? It’s like a runaway train because compounding interest accelerates the issue. It also happens to be a visceral threat to individual freedom:

    Gaza City was modern and developed

    I was recently released from reserve duty in Gaza, after serving 100 days in the IDF. Since the world can’t see firsthand the things I saw there, I feel I have to share.

    For years, well before October 7th, we’ve heard about how terrible life is for the poor, oppressed Gazans. How anti-Israel activists and media outlets claim the Gaza Strip can be compared to an open-air prison….
    Now, having experienced it myself, I can confidently tell you that we were lied to.

    Gaza has been depicted as a backwards, “densely populated” area that’s been under Israeli “siege” for years. There’s no bigger lie than this.

    Pre-war Gaza was a modern, beautiful, developed city – with large, furnished houses, wide avenues, public areas, a promenade, and parks. It looked much better than any other Arab city “from the river to the sea.”

    …Despite the prosperity we saw in Gaza city, it was hiding something you won’t see in any Western city. Every neighborhood we visited had staged and ready-to-operate Hamas combat zones – weapons, tunneling, explosives, rocket launch zones, all inside normal family homes, some already built with openings in the walls to enable moving easily between buildings….

    We also saw that Hamas terrorists rarely moved around armed or in uniform. They are terrorists but even they believe the IDF is a moral army. They know IDF soldiers will not shoot them if they walk around as “civilians.”

    They butchered Israeli civilians on October 7, but we came into Gaza looking only for terrorists and they take advantage of it. They prepare their weapons in advance, typically near building entries, and pick them up just before attacking….

    Now that so many reserve soldiers have left Gaza, we’re hearing directly from those who were stationed there. They all say the same thing: the standard of living was much higher than we’ve been led to believe; these “innocent civilians” are Hamas.

    The Seminole County State Attorney’s Office announced that Filion was extradited to Florida on January 30 to face charges related to a swatting call made to a mosque, marking a significant development in a case that highlights the dangerous trend of swatting.

    The incident in question involves a threatening call made to the Masjid Al Hayy Mosque in Sanford, Florida, in May 2023. Filion allegedly claimed he was armed with a handgun and explosives, intending to commit a mass shooting “in the name of Satan,” a claim underscored by the sound of gunfire played during the call. This hoax prompted a massive law enforcement response, with approximately 30 officers dispatched to the mosque.

    According to FOIA’d emails, on Monday, November 2, 2020, only one day before a critically important presidential election, Michigan’s Democrat Attorney General was busy investigating a claim by a USPS whistleblower who worked at the Detroit USPS distribution center.

    FOIA’d emails obtained by independent investigator Yehuda Miller and shared on Twitter, reveal a postal worker, who asked to remain anonymous, first told MI Rep. Ellissa Slotkin’s office that “thousands of ballots are sitting in the main Detroit postal service distribution center (references their warehouse).” The whistleblower mentioned that “there are boxes and boxes of ballots that have not been counted and the reason being given is because there are not enough sorters.”

    The whistleblower complaint was forwarded to MI AG Nessel’s Chief of Staff, Zaineb Hussein.

    Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini has called for the chemical castration of individuals convicted of violent sexual offenses. This call to action follows the arrest of seven Egyptian migrants in Catania, accused of the gang rape of a 13-year-old girl, Zero Hedge reported.

    In the late afternoon of January 30th, a 13-year-old girl and her 17-year-old boyfriend were subjected to a brutal attack, according to local news outlet Ilriformista.

    The young girl, accompanied by her boyfriend, was reportedly attacked and sexually assaulted by two of the seven suspects while the others restrained her boyfriend and stood guard.

    Passersby discovered the traumatized couple and quickly alerted the authorities. The Carabinieri conducted rapid investigations with the cooperation of the local district and juvenile prosecutors’ offices.

    One of the arrested individuals is said to have cooperated, providing crucial information that assisted in the identification of the rest of the group.

    The suspects, all of whom are reported to be Egyptian nationals, with three being minors, are accused of aggravated gang violence. They allegedly blocked and threatened the young girl’s boyfriend while ensuring no one could intervene during the assault.

    In addition to their testimony, cell phone data and surveillance footage from the park played a critical role in the investigation. Biological evidence collected at the scene was analyzed, yielding a positive DNA match to the minors who committed the rape.

    The US military is quietly shipping hundreds of thousands of artillery shells to Ukraine from a massive stockpile in Israel, according to a Tuesday report.

    The ammunition supply is located in Israel for the US military to use in regional conflicts. The US has also given Israel permission to use some of the supplies in emergency situations, The New York Times reported, citing American and Israeli officials.

    The previous government approved of the move as Israel attempted to chart a course between maintaining ties with the US and Ukraine, and not antagonizing Russia.

    A group of migrants has been working as a ‘ghost’ criminal enterprise in New York City – led by a Venezuelan ringleader who was let free by authorities in December.

    At least five migrants were arrested Monday morning in a sting operation by the NYPD looking into a gang of criminals who use stolen mopeds and scooters to violently snatch phones and wallets from pedestrians, mainly women.

    Police are still on the hunt for the ringleader – Venezuelan national Victor Parra, 30, who was not home when police served a search warrant in his alleged lair in the Bronx. Officials believe he entered the country sometime in 2023 and was freed on bail in December after being charged with grand larceny.

    Parra led an elaborate scheme where he would put out calls for stolen phones using a group on the messaging platform What’s App, police said on Monday.

    Once migrants brought the iPhones to the home in the Bronx, a suspect would hack into them to access the victim’s Apple Pay feature. Once they emptied out the accounts, the phones were shipped to Miami or Colombia to be reprogrammed, per the NYPD.

    Abdul Shokoor Ezedi has been on the run since a woman and her two young girls were hurt in south London on Wednesday.

    She continued: “The suspect slammed what I thought was a car seat or a bag to the floor after jumping from a white car.
    “The sound, the thud, the scream, that’s when I realised it was a little girl being slammed to the ground, like a WWF wrestling move.
    “Then I saw two men jump on the suspect and try to pin him down, before he managed to get free and run off. So I just grabbed the three-year-old girl and took her into my arms before rushing her into the nearby hotel, where her older sister and mother were. Her mother was hysterical.”
    The resident – who said she was just about to settle down to watch EastEnders – went on to explain how she tried to reassure the three-year-old, who was barely conscious and whose head was “red and swollen”.
    It looked like the attacker was trying to “crack her head open”, she said, adding: “It gives me shivers thinking about what he did.”
    She continued: “When I picked her up – the youngest child – she was trying to go to sleep. I knew from watching 24 Hours in A&E that the best thing to do for head injuries is to place somebody into the recovery position, so that’s what I did.
    “But before I did, she just went limp. I thought the youngest of the two girls was about to die in my arms. Luckily the three-year-old woke up and started to call for her mum.
    “I took her to the waiting ambulance, she was clinging to me and didn’t want to go, so I escorted her to hospital in the back of the ambulance, talking to her the entire way.”
    Later in the evening, the witness realised that she too had been splashed by the chemical. The BBC understands that 12 people in total were injured in Wednesday’s attack.
    “When I got home I noticed what looked like black paint on my foot. I went to shower it off but it wouldn’t come off. Then I started to get a burning sensation,” she said.
    She went back to hospital and waited seven and a half hours for treatment, she said.
    “My foot is now black and swollen. Because of the adrenalin of the whole event, I didn’t think to check myself.”
    The witness added she had been left traumatised by the incident and wanted support after hearing the screams of the victims.

    He acknowledged that “these things are hard to judge” and that “we cannot see into people’s souls”, but added: “There seems to be a problem of asylum seekers claiming to have been converted to Christianity to support their applications.”

    Sebastián Piñera, the former conservative president of Chile, passed away in a helicopter crash in a lake on Tuesday, 6. The 74-year-old politician’s demise was initially reported by the Chilean newspaper “La Tercera.”

    The incident occurred in the city of Lago Ranco, located in the central region of Chile. Piñera was returning from a visit to his friend, businessman José Cox, accompanied by three other individuals.

    Government sources, as reported on the newspaper’s website, confirmed that four people were on board the helicopter, and three were located by emergency teams. By the time rescuers arrived, the aircraft was already submerged in the lake’s waters.

    According to the Argentine newspaper “Clarín,” Piñera was piloting the helicopter and was unable to release his seatbelt to exit the aircraft. Two individuals managed to swim to the shore, while a third was rescued in the water using a boat.

    Authorities stated that the accident occurred at 2:57 PM local time. Piñera owned a residence in the rural area where the crash took place, which he used during vacations. The helicopter was reported to be privately owned.

    Police and rescue teams were dispatched to the accident site. The weather conditions in the region were adverse at the time of the incident, with heavy rain.

    Uruguayan President Luis Lacalle Pou expressed his condolences for Sebastian Piñera’s death, saying:

    “I have known President Piñera for several years. He has always maintained a positive attitude towards Uruguay, both professionally and personally. To the Chileans and his family, my condolences.”

    Tower 22 is a US base in Jordan, just across the border from a US base at Al Tanf, Syria. It was attacked early in the morning on January 28th – killing three American soldiers and injuring 47 more. Eight soldiers were evacuated, some with physical wounds and others with concussions, described as traumatic brain injuries.

    The Biden Administration is misleading the American public about the Tower 22 attack to obscure Iran’s direct involvement and hide the fact that Iraq is complicit in the killing and wounding of our soldiers.

    The Chinese are increasingly angry with Iran. Reuters has reported that Chinese officials have asked Iran “to rein in attacks on ships in the Red Sea by the Iran-backed Houthis, or risk harming business relations with Beijing.”

    That may not sound like much of a threat, but the hidden text is that a lot of the parts for Iranian missiles and drones, and equipment for its large scale nuclear program, come from China. If China actually cut these supplies off, Iran would have to close its war factories. The Chinese would do what US export controls completely failed in doing: shutting down Chinese access to technology from Asia, the United States and Europe.

  40. At Penn, Nothing Has Changed in Wake of Magill’s Defenestration

    When Dr. Stanley Goldfarb, then an emeritus professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine, penned a Wall Street Journal op-ed in 2019 arguing that political issues like climate change and gun control had no place in medical school curricula, Larry Jameson, then the dean of Penn’s medical school, denounced Goldfarb by name.

    “Please know that the views expressed by Dr. Goldfarb … do not reflect the values of the Perelman School of Medicine,” Jameson wrote to students. “We deeply value inclusion and diversity as fundamental to effective health care delivery, creativity, discovery, and life-long learning.”

    Fast-forward five years, and Jameson’s mastery of woke argot has earned him a promotion: He is now Penn’s interim president, having assumed the role late last year when the school’s board of trustees pushed his predecessor, Liz Magill, out the door following her shameful testimony before Congress.

    She lost her job because, as one former Penn donor put it, the university didn’t give “a crap” about rising anti-Semitism on campus.

    The question is whether anything has changed since her dismissal.

    Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi on Tuesday apologized for a drill the military carried out a night earlier, in which troops simulated a kidnapping attack carried out by settlers in the West Bank.

    => => Rehearsing a manufactured outrage where farrr-rrright settlers are caught kidnapping a poor-widdle-innocent-pally-baby. Sounds like a stunt probably cooked up with the U.S DOS.

    Halevi’s apology came following harsh criticism by far-right lawmakers and activists against the drill, which they described as “unrealistic,” despite such acts by Jewish extremists occurring in the past, notably the kidnapping and murder of teenager Mohammed Abu Khdeir in 2014.

    “The IDF fights in all arenas, and in Judea and Samaria [the West Bank], forces face brutal terrorism in a complex environment. The exercise carried out yesterday was designed to prepare the forces to deal with a wide variety of scenarios, with the aim of improving their readiness,” Halevi said during a visit to the Gaza Strip.

    “However, the scenario in question should not have been practiced and is an error,” he said. “We will investigate and learn, and we are sorry to anyone who was hurt by this.”

    Halevi said troops in the West Bank, led by Central Command chief Maj. Gen. Yehuda Fox, “work around the clock while risking their lives for the security of the residents.”

    Boo-hoo.

    Fox had come under attack online by settler activists in the wake of the drill. The Central Command and the general in charge, which oversees military operations in the West Bank, are regularly criticized by far-right politicians and activists.

  42. GOP Rep. Massie: Secret Service Deleted Texts From J6 and Destroyed Their Phones AFTER Being Told by Congress to Preserve Them

    GOP Rep. Thomas Massie accused DHS Chief Alejandro Mayorkas of being involved in the obstruction of Congress scandal related to deleted J6 text messages.

    According to a Jack Smith filing in December, the DOJ may be a part of the scandal of the ‘missing’ Secret Service text messages.

    “Secret Service deleted texts from J6 and destroyed their phones AFTER being told by Congress to preserve them,” Massie said on Monday. “Obstruction of Congress occurred under Sec Mayorkas.”

    Massie also asked Democrat Rep Bennie Thompson whether he ever investigated to so-called ‘bomb’ with a kitchen timer attached to it placed near Kamala Harris at the DNC headquarters on the eve of the January 6 Capitol riot.

    “I asked Chair of J6 committee [Bennie Thompson] about this & whether he even investigated the bomb placed near VP Harris. Nothing!” Massie said.
