Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  2. The DNA advice seems prudent no matter where one travels. Note that Israel offers an app for locating bomb shelters, but Gaza doesn’t. The advice to make a will before traveling to Gaza would apply to people who travel there for what purpose? Not sure if the travel warning reflects the views of the US State Dept in an unbalanced way.

    Israel’s Untold Gaza Progress

    You may have missed it amid the media defeatism, but Israel is winning its war in Gaza. Hamas losses are mounting, and support for the Israeli war effort has endured around the world longer than Hamas expected. The war is far from over, but Hamas’ southern stronghold of Khan Yunis is falling. Hamas’ remaining forces face an Israeli advance on all sides, and Israel is now fighting below ground in force.

    U.S. restrictions and Israeli caution have slowed the war and Israel needs time to achieve victory. Hamas is counting on Western powers to deny it that time. The “CNN strategy” of using human shields to gain media sympathy has worked every time for Hamas, but, so far, not this time. Oct. 7 was too brutal. This war has passed 120 days, and the U.S. and Europe refuse to call for a ceasefire.

    Israel says it has killed, incapacitated or arrested some 20,000 of Hamas’ 30,000 men, and the losses have quieted its rocket fire, down more than 95% from the war’s early days.

    The Biden Administration, despite its second-guessing, continues to provide munitions and diplomatic cover. The latest Harvard CAPS-Harris poll finds that large majorities of Americans support Israel and its war aims. Europe’s elected leaders are also holding the line, and no Arab state has quit the Abraham Accords. Winning the war is essential for a secure Israel and a chance for Palestinians to have a normal life in Gaza.

      My brother returned from Gaza and wanted to share what he saw. These are his words:

      “What you see on social media is nothing. in every house in Gaza, there’s evidence of support and involvement in terror by Palestinian civilians considered ‘uninvolved’.

      We found in homes rifles, combat knives, mines, missiles, Hamas symbols, pictures of Hamas leaders in the living room, tapes of terror events, children’s games that teach to murder Jews, instructional books for terror.

      We found Nazi books, swastikas, certificates of appreciation for terrorists, inscriptions calling for the extermination of Jewish pigs, framed pictures of dead IDF soldiers and pictures of weapons in children’s rooms.

      In most of the houses, there are tunnels, some have cellars storing weapons, and in some, we also found items belonging to the Israeli hostages”.

      My brother noted, “Although I was aware of some hatred of the Palestinians towards us, I couldn’t have imagined seeing such massive support and encouragement for terrorism and the murder of Jews”.

      It’s hard for people to to accept this bitter truth:
      There are no innocent civilians in Gaza who desire peace and a state. The Palestinians have only one goal in life, and that’s to destroy the Jewish people.

    • A few years ago Hungary contracted with the Japanese demographics consultancy of Kazuko, my college roommate. I think her company also advised Russia.

PARIS (AP) – Parisians voted Sunday to muscle SUVs off the French capital’s streets by making them much more expensive to park from fall, the latest leg in a drive by Socialist Mayor Anne Hidalgo to make the host city for this year’s Olympic Games greener and friendlier for pedestrians and cyclists.

    More than 54% of the votes cast in the low-turnout election supported the measure to triple parking fees for large SUV drivers from out of town to 18 euros ($19.50) per hour in the city’s center, according to official results from City Hall. Only 5.7% of the 1.3 million eligible voters cast ballots at the 39 voting stations around the city.

    During the interview Trump suggested up to 60% tariffs on Chinese goods coming into America.

    On Monday the China markets sunk to 5-year lows.

  15. Virginia Democrats Behind ‘Harassment’ Bill Really Want To Make Election Oversight A ‘Hate Crime’

    SB 364 arrives as Democrats push the narrative that conservatives are a threat to democracy at large and election workers in particular.

    Annoy an election official, face a hate crime investigation?

    With a government that colludes with social media platforms to suppress Americans’ speech and targets conservatives as “domestic terrorists,” election volunteers are not laughing off the possibility of such retaliation.

    Senate Bill 364, which is working its way through Virginia’s Democrat-controlled General Assembly and is set to be heard in subcommittee Monday morning, would take existing criminal statutes that protect Virginians from assault, battery, or damage to property, create a protected class for election officials, and call the same offenses “hate crimes.”

    Anyone convicted of such offenses against election officials would be added to the Virginia State Police “hate crime” database.

    In addition, language in SB 364 would help social media companies avoid First Amendment challenges if they collude with government actors to restrict speech and suppress dissent. So long as the social media provider acts in “good faith” to “restrict access to” material that it believes is “harassing, or intended to incite hatred on the basis of” a person’s status as an elections official, it would face no tort liability.   17. RAF Typhoon jets were sent to help a passenger plane land at Manchester Airport after it ‘lost contact’.

    The Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) plane was travelling from Oslo, Norway, to Manchester when it lost communications – but the airline says there was never any danger to passengers.

    Two RAF planes were sent from RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire, to assist.

    A spokesperson for Manchester Airport confirmed to MailOnline the plane had been escorted in after it lost contact.

    ‘We understand that to have been a technical fault and comms has now been restored.

    ‘The flight was destined for Manchester so passengers haven’t been displaced but we have put on extra staff to support any passengers that may need it.’

    Attorney General Merrick Garland tapped special counsel Robert Hur to investigate the matter on Jan. 12, 2023, following FBI searches of Biden’s post-vice presidency Washington, DC, office and Delaware mansion for the sensitive files.

    A Houthi spokesman, Yahya Saree, responded soon after on Sunday, saying “These attacks will not deter us from our moral, religious and humanitarian stance” in support of Palestinians in Gaza. He vowed that it won’t pass “without response and punishment.”

    He has started cancer treatment and will postpone public duties at this time, per advice from his doctors.

    King Charles III was diagnosed with cancer, which was discovered while he was being treated for prostate issues, Buckingham Palace said Monday.

    “During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer,” the palace said.

    Charles, 75, started cancer treatment on Monday and his doctors advised him to postpone public duties at this time, but the monarch of the United Kingdom will continue to conduct official business as usual, officials said.

    “The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure. He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible,” the palace also said

    The New York Police Department (NYPD) on Monday shared a horrifying video showing the moment migrants on a moped dragged a woman along a New York City street and stole her phone.

    As The New York Post reported, these thugs are members of a Venezuelan moped-riding crew that has been stealing phones from female New Yorkers’ hands in audacious instances of street crimes. Two have been apprehended so far, but several remain at large.

    The sick footage shows a moped carrying three riders coming out of an adjacent alley and dragging a woman. The footage ends with her crashing into a small pole.

    They then reportedly steal her phone.

    The Public Interest Legal Foundation secured a landmark case on Monday in the First Circuit Court of Appeals.

    The Court ruled that under the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA) Maine’s voter roll is a public record and election officials cannot hide the information from the public.

    “Whether voter registration rolls are accurate and current cannot be determined without inspecting the Voter File…In other words, the evaluation of voter registration rolls would be impossible if the results of Maine’s voter list registration and maintenance activities were not subject to public disclosure.       Opinion | Israel Must Recognize That It’s Lost the Gaza War to End the Palestinian Conflict

      We won’t win. Not even together. We lost the current war in the Gaza Strip over our right to a national home in the Land of Israel on October 7. Each additional day of the ground operation only increases the failure.

      When this terrible war ends, as expected, in a few weeks due to international pressure, Israel’s situation will be worse than it was immediately after Hamas’ barbaric attack. But might something good arise from this failure? Perhaps the end of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?
