This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

Lately, too many times when I awaken after falling asleep listening to some You Tube video, there is this guy Michael Saylor talking. It’s almost like he is the default play if you’re not paying attention to what comes up next. Saylor is a tech billionaire who is heavy into Bitcoin. His company owns over 189,000 units of this virtual currency.
The Greater Fool theory is that some other guy will be suckered into buying the essentially worthless thing you also own, thereby pumping up the price so that you can cash out before the ponzi fails. It’s an old game that never grows old because the greed within human nature doesn’t abate.
I’ve always thought the most basic fatal flaw of crypto currencies was simply their existence alongside the U.S. dollar, because throughout history all competing currencies, including counterfeit dollars and gold, were squashed. The question lingers: why are they now allowed to flourish at the expense of the USD, including to the benefit of the criminal element to move “money” around the world? One must consider the possibility that they are a government creation created for purpose. My feeling is that they were created, and encourage to proliferate, in order to condition people into accepting the eventual non-tangible blockchain CBDCs.
Blockchain technology is a wonderful mathematical innovation. Math is full of wonders, such as 2 + 2 = $31,168. However blockchain combined with anything identifying as currency is still worthless unless it is redeemable in a tangible, real-world asset. For that matter, the supposed inventor Satoshi is clearly fictitious. I know this because he is not provably real–not redeemable in human form. Like every other lie today Bitcoin will ultimately revert to its intrinsic value of zero. Zero is another mathematical wonder, but is also a punchline to a government joke after you find yourself broke.

Freed Israeli hostage Mia Schem has broken her silence to share a harrowing account of captivity in Gaza, claiming children were sent to taunt her with food as she was left to starve.
Speaking to Israel’s Channel 12, Schem explained how she and her fellow hostages were left alone in a locked room 24 hours a day, not knowing whether they would be fed.
The interview came on the heels of her first public broadcast in which she described her ordeal and declared: ‘Everyone [in Gaza] is a terrorist.’
‘You’re afraid that something will happen at any moment. They would throw me food once a day, some days they wouldn’t. The children would open the door and look,’ she said.

Maine’s psychotic Democrat Secretary of State Shenna Bellows unilaterally barred Trump from the 2024 ballot because she decided the former president is an insurrectionist.
Bellows issued the order after the Colorado Supreme Court disqualified Trump from the 2024 ballot.
The legal theories are based on Section 3 of the US Constitution’s 14th Amendment which states public officials who have “engaged in insurrection or rebellion against” the US may be disqualified from public office.
Trump has not been charged with engaging in insurrection or rebellion against the United States.
Bellows, who isn’t even a lawyer, concluded: “Trump’s primary petition is invalid.”

UFC Star Worries 2024 Election Won’t Happen: ‘Which String Are They Going to Pull Next?’

For many Americans — whether we speak openly of it or not — 2024 feels ominous.
In an interview with Tucker Carlson posted Wednesday to X, mixed martial artist Colby Covington — currently ranked fifth in the UFC welterweight division — spoke openly about the establishment either rigging the 2024 presidential election or resorting to authoritarian measures to prevent it from happening.
“Which string are they going to pull next? Are they going to try and do some martial law-type stuff in America?” Covington asked.
The fighter’s comments came in response to Carlson’s question about how former President Donald Trump might fare in the 2024 election.
“I think he’s gonna win by a landslide if it’s a fair election,” Covington said.
“But we know that they’re gonna do everything they can to rig this election in any way. You know, they did the fake COVID and all the mail-in voting last time,” he added.
Covington also described Trump as “the strongest fighter I’ve ever met and the most loyal person.”
Covington clearly believes that “they,” i.e. the anti-Trump establishment, are capable of anything, including the imposition of martial law.
And the UFC fighter is in good company.
In an August appearance on Adam Carolla’s podcast, Carlson himself warned that the establishment could resort to an assassination attempt against Trump.
Of course, no one can predict such dark outcomes as martial law or political murder. On the other hand, those possibilities enter our minds for reasons that would have seemed impossible eight years ago.
For instance, in a recent appearance on the “Redacted” podcast, Carlson made headlines when he admitted that it terrifies him to cover two topics, one of which he identified as the UFO story.
Lost in those eye-popping comments, however, was the fact that Carlson also expressed apprehension about covering the 2020 presidential election.
“I think that I was far too dismissive of some of the claims made about it. And I think there may be some merit to some of the wildest possible claims about that election,” he said.
Both Carlson and Covington voiced something that many Americans have sensed: In short, powerful people will stop at nothing to prevent Trump from winning the 2024 election.
The evidence for that suspicion has grown too voluminous to summarize, let alone catalog. Suffice it to say that no attentive observer was surprised last week when the Colorado Supreme Court ruled Trump ineligible for the state’s 2024 presidential primary election.
Attempts to undermine Trump by any means necessary date at least to the Russian collusion hoax of 2016. And those efforts have continued more or less unabated to this day.
A more complicated question is why. How do we explain the establishment’s feverish machinations against the former president?
Hatred offers one possible explanation. Powerful people hate Trump. They have stoked that hatred and acted upon it. But he has grown more popular each time, which in turn makes them hate him even more.
Another possible explanation is fear. Powerful people fear Trump. One hardly knows why exactly, but they behave as if Trump’s return to the White House would mean their doom.
Either way, no one can doubt that Covington and Carlson have good reason for suspecting Trump’s enemies are capable of anything.
In light of all they have tried to this point, what string could they pull next?

Tensions have escalated considerably at the disputed Essequibo region of Guyana, as Venezuela has decided to deploy more than 5,000 soldiers on its eastern Caribbean coast.
The move by Venezuelan socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro comes after neighboring Guyana received a British warship, amid a growing dispute over the Essequibo territory.
While at first glance this may sound of low interest to the American public, a potential military conflict may be about to erupt at a mere two thousand miles from Florida – just imagine the repercussions, beginning with the Southern border surge situation.

“’Venezuela has the right to defend itself, to tranquility, to peace’, Maduro said Thursday on state TV, while accusing Guyana of violating an agreement signed two weeks ago to continue talks over the oil-rich territory without the use of arms. ‘We do not accept provocations, threats from anything or anyone’.
Venezuela made a similar move in 2018 to halt ships working for Exxon Mobil Corp off in the area. Today’s actions, which Maduro said were just the first stage of a wider plan, could lead to an escalation of the long-dormant dispute between the neighboring countries over the Essequibo, a region roughly the size of Florida that’s controlled by Guyana but claimed by Venezuela since the 19th century.

What are they up to?
It is obvious that the Left is doing its damndest to goad the not-Left (it isn’t the Right, at least not uniformly – as opposed to the uniformity of Left) into doing something about what the Left is doing to “our democracy,” as the Left likes to style its one-party dominion over politics and acceptable thought.
How else to explain the Left’s obviously political persecution of the Orange pinata? It is clear the Left isn’t whacking him so much as goading us to do something useful to the Left. Something like the “insurrection”- as the Left refers to the unarmed protest that took place after the Orange pinata was removed from office by the Left.
It was far too peaceful an “insurrection” to suit the Left. It needs a real one – and in time to assure “our democracy” does not fall into the hands of the not-Left.
As the character in The Empire Strikes Back warned, it’s a trap!
Just the same as January 6 – only worse – because if the not-Left allows itself to be maneuvered into committing the first overt act, as Franklin Delano Roosevelt put it, the Left will have everything it needs to wage the war it wants to preserve “our democracy.”
FDR wanted a war like that, too.
Or – rather – an excuse to get America into the war. And so he goaded the Japanese, first by provocatively stationing most of the Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor, in Hawaii – which was (and is) halfway to Japan. Then he applied economic pressure by cutting off Japan’s supply of the oil it had to have in order to fuel its ships (and so on).
The American public – prior to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor – wanted nothing to do with the war, to the tune of 80-plus percent opposed to America getting into the war. By goading the Japanese to commit the first overt act, FDR also goaded Adolf Hitler into declaring war on the United States and thereby goaded Americans into being overwhelming in favor of going to war with Germany and Japan.
Similarly, the Southern Confederacy allowed itself to be maneuvered into committing the first overt act by Abraham Lincoln, who was a creature very much like the Biden Thing in that he was a tyrannical consolidator (consolidation without consent entailing violence to achieve it being definitionally tyrannical; and by violence is just exactly how Lincoln “preserved the Union,” which meant the cementing of the absolute power of the consolidated federal government over all the states, not just the Southern ones).
The psychology of the thing is not only important, it is arguably determinative. Most people instinctively dislike/disapprove of the man who throws the first punch – for they regard him as the aggressor – and understand, amen and defend the man who punches back. It does not matter that the man who throws the first punch may have been goaded so badly that his throwing it is both understandable and even necessary, in the moment it was thrown.
The throwing of the first punch by the South – at Fort Sumter in South Carolina – was tactically justifiable but politically (psychologically) foolish.
It was thrown because the fort guarded the South’s most important port; the reasoning (of the Southern leadership) was that if the Northern forces were left in control of the fort, they would be able to control what entered the port. More precisely, what would be unable to enter the port – thus depriving the South of the resources it badly needed and would need more of. It was reasonable reasoning very much of a piece, when you think about it, with the reasoning of the Japanese leadership to throw a punch (which they hoped would be a knockout blow) at the American Pacific Fleet stationed at Pearl Harbor.
They both reasoned wrongly.
In both cases – as well as in our case – it would be better if the aggressor threw the first punch. It would make it clear who the aggressor is, for starters – and that’s no small thing. It might be the most important thing. It certainly might have been that, in the case of what is absurdly styled (for obvious psychological reasons) the American “Civil War.” Which was no such thing since it was never the aim of the Southern Confederacy to take control of the country but rather to form their own, new one. That was an aim approved of by an interestingly large percentage of Northern public opinion, which wanted no part of a war to force the Southern states back into “union” at bayonet-point.
And at the cost of hundreds of thousands of Northern as well as Southern lives.
Had Lincoln been obliged to commit the first overt act – to pursue the course he always intended – it would have been seen by public opinion in the North as just exactly that, rather than a necessary response to an attack.
The Left is doing its best – that is, its worst – to goad the not-Left into doing just exactly what will serve to justify the course the Left already intends to pursue and is pursuing. Only it will be more so if we allow ourselves to be maneuvered into throwing it.
So let’s not be goaded into throwing it.
Vivek Ramaswamy – the unlikely presidential aspirant – showed how not to be goaded the other day. An aggressively Leftist LBGTQ+ (and probably xyzpdq, too) “activist” attempted to goad the candidate into saying something “hateful” or “homophobic.” Instead of reacting in a way that would have amped up the tension, Vivek refused to be goaded. Instead, he very deftly, very calmly, responded – with reason rather than a counterpunch.
It diffused the tension. It showed that we don’t need to be throwing punches at one another. The lesson being it will be much more difficult – psychologically (and so otherwise) for the Left to say we threw the first punch if we refuse to be goaded into throwing it. If all we do is refuse to comply.
And that will make it much less tenable for the Left, if it decides to go ahead and throw the first punch our way.

Americans are far beyond President Joe Biden’s serial untruths of some eight years that he never discussed Hunter Biden’s various get-rich-quick schemes.
All were predicated on the perception of foreign interests purchasing from the Biden family the influence of then-senator, vice president, and possibly soon-to-be President Joe Biden.
The Bidens now risk exposure to criminal charges of multimillion-dollar tax fraud, perjury, influence selling, and bribery as congressional committees and a special prosecutor unravel years of tangled-up quid pro quos.
A newly indicted Hunter remains reckless and unpredictable. He continues to publicly blame his mounting legal problems on everyone and everything other than his own selfish excesses.
Hunter deliberately involves his family and may even bring down his own father. His tax lawyers have previously threatened to call President Joe Biden to testify on his behalf under oath.
He continues to court public scandal by hawking amateurish “representational” paintings to the quid-pro-quo wealthy and wannabes wishing clout with the White House.
His laptop messages reveal a prodigal son angry that his bagman services were never fully appreciated by his familial beneficiaries.
Hunter’s wayward laptop is a felonious trove of drug-addled, illicit Petronian excess and sex, interspliced with his self-incriminating family communications on the distributions of pay-for-play payoffs.
Hunter’s business aides will be called back to elaborate on their already incriminating testimonies.
The contents of Joe Biden’s various alias emails will soon see new scrutiny.
Given Biden’s physical and ethical frailties, age, and bad polling, the left-wing media and Democratic hierarchy may cease circling the wagons around him. Instead, some may fuel the effort to sandbag a 2024 Biden candidacy by releasing or even leaking incriminating evidence.
Harvard President Claudine Gay’s tenure is even more tenuous than Biden’s. Harvard can either claim to be the nation’s preeminent academic institution or continue to protect a plagiarist as president—not both.
It can profess to be at the center of academia’s moral and intellectual universe, but not if its president cannot punish those on campus who daily call for the destruction of Israel and the genocide of the Jewish people. Gay cannot lie to Congress that Harvard in the past has also allowed “hate speech” against entire groups the way it now allows against Jews.
Nor is it sustainable for Gay to fob off calls for her resignation as “racist.” In fact, the more the public learns about her academic career, the more she seems to be a lifetime beneficiary, not a victim of racially-weighted policies.
Since the October 7 Hamas massacre of 1,200 Jews, anti-Israeli/pro-Hamas protests, often violent, have swept the Western world, particularly in the big cities and on campuses of America.
Protestors no longer distinguish being anti-Israeli from being anti-Jewish. Now they just openly mouth anti-Semitic chants and harass individual Jews.
Almost every hallowed monument—from the Lincoln Memorial to the White House gates, nearly every cherished national icon from the famed Christmas tree in New York’s Rockefeller Center to New York’s Naivety scene, and our most famous infrastructure from the Manhattan Bridge to the Golden Gate Bridge—has either been swarmed, defaced, or disrupted by pro-Hamas demonstrators.
Americans are growing weary of these escalating protests for a variety of reasons. Most remember that the October 7 war started not with Israeli preemptive attacks on an independent Gaza, but only after Hamas killers launched a sneak attack to commit atrocities against Jews residing in Israel.
The current war is waged between a constitutional state of free elections and a cruel, autocratic terrorist clique.
Indeed, Hamas has refused negotiations over a ceasefire that would have led to internationally conducted free elections for the people of Gaza—something forbidden by enriched Hamas kingpins ensconced in luxury abroad.
Many of the loudest and most violent anti-Jewish protestors in the U.S. are immigrants, green card holders, or on student visas. That fact is confusing to Americans.
Why would those who have fled despotic regimes in the Middle East to study, work, or reside in a free America, once safely here, rally for the very dictatorships they left behind and apparently do not wish to return to?
Why trash the very foundation and values of their American hosts that ensure their newfound freedoms?
For weeks, the American people have been relatively silent as they digested these ongoing catastrophes. But at some point, their patience will run out.
Americans will then collectively conclude that Joe Biden has never been truthful about vast ill-gotten funds that have enriched his family; that Harvard is no longer preeminent or even prestigious; and that people who do not like us, our laws, and our values should try cheering on the work of Hamas from their own homes.

In these chaotic times, a brief AR-15 primer

The Seventh Circuit has recently ruled AR-15 pattern rifles are not protected by the Second Amendment. The lawless ruling ignores the Heller and Bruen decisions.
Leading the list of long guns sold, the ubiquitous AR-15 is the most popular sporting rifle in America. Circa 2023, Americans own more than 23 million. The AR-15 is also the rifle type democrats/Socialists/Communists are most desperate to ban, that and so-called “high capacity magazines,” which have been standard capacity magazines since the Vietnam War.

Considering d/S/C support for criminals and their overt efforts to abolish or cripple the police, it’s easy to understand why Americans continue to buy arms and ammunition in record quantities: they tend to do the opposite of what government wants–-they’re American that way–-and they’re not stupid. To set the record straight a brief AR-15 primer:
*“AR” does not stand for “assault rifle,” and certainly not for “assault weapon,” a linguistic invention best understood as any gun anti-liberty/gun cracktivists want to ban. Eugene Stoner, the AR’s inventor, worked at Armalite, thus, “Armalite Rifle.”
*Virtually all AR-pattern rifles are semiautomatics, unlike the military M4. It’s theoretically possible to own a machinegun in AR form, but as I recently explained, is all but impossible.

*ARs do not fire a “high-powered” cartridge. The .223/5.56 NATO cartridge is intermediate power, useful in hunting animals the size of coyotes. The main military advantage is the cartridge is small and weighs much less than true high-powered rounds. Many more may be carried for the same weight and space. The cartridge is not uniquely dangerous or deadly, and our warfighters have long complained about its relative ineffectiveness. Modern combat occurs at far closer ranges than past combat.
*ARs are chambered for larger diameter cartridges with the addition of properly sized upper receivers, but the cartridge must still fit within the dimensions of a standard AR magazine, therefore, no “high-powered” cartridges work.
*The AR, in M16 guise, was first adopted by the Air Force for base security, and only later and reluctantly, by our other military branches. Not a new invention, its forerunner, the AR-10, was designed in the mid-50s. ARs have been on gun store shelves since the early 1960s.
*Magazine capacity is irrelevant. Magazines in any magazine-fed firearm may be changed within a few seconds. What is relevant is in this increasingly lawless time, one never knows how many attackers they may have to face. A standard AR magazine, or greater than 10-round pistol magazine, may be the difference between life and death.
*Police agencies are increasingly replacing shotguns with ARs. They’re accurate to 300 yards and beyond, yet their light-weight bullets tend not to over-penetrate. The difference in recoil and muzzle blast between 12-gauge shotguns and ARs is dramatic. Female police officers, and not a few male officers, hate shotguns. After a few qualification rounds, they’re more than happy to stop shooting. All enjoy ARs.

The 2019 FBI Uniform Crime Report, which encompasses data from 2015-2019, lists the use in 2019 of 13,927 weapons of all kinds in homicides, but only 364 rifles of all types. AR-15s were only a tiny portion of that tiny portion of rifles.
*In Heller and Bruen, the Supreme Court made clear the Second Amendment is not a second-class right. It affirms an unalienable, natural, individual right to keep and bear arms in common use for self-defense and every other lawful purpose, which includes semiautomatic handguns, rifles and shotguns. The AR-15 is the most common and popular contemporary semiautomatic rifle.
*Part of the AR’s popularity is veterans have always been fond of their service rifles. Even though civilian versions are not fully automatic, owing a replica of a service rifle is an American tradition and has always helped with recruiting, help of which we’re very much in need.
The Seventh Circuit and other cases will soon cause the Supreme Court to specifically rule AR-pattern rifles constitutionally protected. There is no constitutional, practical reason otherwise. A more complete AR primer may be found here.

Last January the Biden administration knew about the Chinese spy balloon traversing across the continental United States, from Alaska to the Carolinas, but sought to conceal this from the American public.
A newspaper photographer first spotted the balloon over Montana.
The Chinese spy balloon first entered US airspace over Alaska in late January.
The balloon soared over nuclear silos and military installations across the US with Joe Biden’s full approval.
The balloon was shot down over the Atlantic just off the coast of the Carolinas.
According to the Pentagon, the spy balloon carried explosives to self-detonate, was 200 feet tall, and weighed thousands of pounds.
Earlier this week it was reported General Milley also knew the spy balloon was collecting data as it flew over the continental US but kept this from the American public.

Tracking Section 3 Trump Disqualification Challenges
Almost immediately after Jan. 6, 2021, legal commentators began debating whether Section 3 of the 14th Amendment could be used to disqualify former President Donald Trump from running in the 2024 presidential election. They discussed, in particular, whether or not Section 3 applies to a former president, whether it is self-executing, and whether Jan. 6 could be considered an insurrection or rebellion.
Since then, the issue has become less abstract, though no less contentious. In February 2021, the U.S. Senate acquitted Trump of an impeachment article for inciting insurrection, but with a bipartisan majority of the Senate voting to convict. Section 3 challenges have been mounted against several legislators, and one state-level county commissioner who participated in the attack was successfully ousted from his post under that provision. At the end of 2022, the House Select Committee on the Jan. 6 Attack on the Capitol made the argument that Trump did inspire an insurrection, referring him to the Justice Department for prosecution under multiple criminal statutes, including one prohibiting insurrection. The Special Counsel’s Office has since brought a criminal case in Washington, D.C. charging Trump for his role in the Jan. 6 attack. And some prominent legal conservatives have made the case for a strong, originalist reading of Section 3 that they argue would apply to Trump, immediately disqualifying him from office.
Beginning in winter 2023, voters and advocacy groups have brought Section 3 challenges in courts across the country, attempting to block Trump’s name from appearing on ballots for state primaries and caucuses before the general election begins. On Dec. 19, the Colorado Supreme Court became the first in the nation to rule that Trump is disqualified under Section 3 and cannot be listed as a candidate on the state’s primary ballot. A petition for certiorari is currently pending in front of the U.S. Supreme Court.
