Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  1. 3/ I can’t come to terms with Bibi and the vaxxx. Volunteering the nation as lab rats for Big Pharma ghouls? It just doesn’t jive with the Bibi I know, with his personal and family history.

    I really believed then that covid was a dire threat. AND that war was imminent. The country’s small, soldiers aren’t isolated from civilians. A war means bomb shelters: a serious infectious disease could kill off at least as many as enemy missiles. Bibi had to have intelligence that caused him to make a decision as radical as universal vaxxxxx. Didn’t he?

    We were sure war was about to break out both in Ukraine and in Israel. My Russki has sons and grandchildren in both countries. We wanted to grab the kids before things started… Then the lockdowns, changes…

    Now the War. I just can’t put the pieces together.
    I’m afraid the massacre on 10/7 is another indictment of judgement at the very top. Political, intelligence, and military – I don’t trust any them.

    What’s going on?
    Investigations later, but meanwhile who’s making decisions about the War? Right Now!

    This wretched “pause” in Gaza, everything about it is bad. Negotiating with terrorists about hostages. Reversing the IDF’s momentum. Qatar and 0biden serving as intermediaries. And so forth.

    Been there, done that. Learned nothing??

    • I have asked myself the same about Orbán. It doesn’t make sense, especially when he has designed incentives to increase the country’s population.

      A friend and I have hypothesized that an entity exists that is so menacing it has threatened these men, and others, with the deaths of their families if they didn’t comply. Crazy? Maybe. But not as crazy as all that’s happened.

      Or maybe people like us are helplessly pure hearted, believing there are people with unbreakable integrity when there is not.

      The funny part is we still believe such people exist, because we believe ourselves to be such.

      • I doubt Bibi can be blackmailed by threats to his family. He’s lived with them all his life. Like his father. Israel is his only real family.

        Data on fertility came out much later than vaxx rollouts. Neither Mr. Orban nor Bibi could’ve have known. I bet the two of them hashed it out together – they’re pretty good friends. Who was responsible for was the intelligence assessment they received?

        I have to steel myself to look at anything about the “D”-word. Braced by light-boxes. A history of SADD – Seasonal Affective Disorder. Family history of clinical depression.

        As serious as it gets: 3 of my father’s 5 siblings killed themselves. My mother’s side had better access to treatment. At least lengthy hospitalizations kept them alive till the D went into remission.

  2. Arabs in the West Bank and Gaza have hideous values regarding Hamas and Israel

    Americans are told that Hamas is very different from the ordinary citizens living in Gaza and the West Bank. Only the former are terrorists, while the latter are innocent, just as you and I are. However, Americans should look to what these “ordinary citizens” had to say when surveyed to get a better feel for who they really are.

    Bizreil University, located in the West Bank, conducted a survey in Gaza and the West Bank. It found that the local Arabs overwhelmingly supported the October 7 massacre.

    In most of the world, millions have been horrified at the October 7 beheading and burning… For Gazans and West Bankians, though, the survey found that, after the October 7 massacre in Israel, 98% now feel even prouder than before to be “Palestinians.”

    Zero percent of the surveyed had a positive view of the United States. The country that is most admired is Russia. The United States, on average, gives people in the West Bank and Gaza $600 million in aid a year. Recently, another $100 million has been sent to Gaza for humanitarian aid.

    7 Reasons Why the Hostage Deal is a Mistake

    It may be stating the obvious, but here’s why the hostage deal is a terrible idea.

    1. After Oct 7, the new rule was that Hamas would no longer be treated like a normal entity, but like an abominable evil that had to be destroyed. The negotiations kill that. Once you negotiate with evil, it stops being unacceptable. That’s why we had rules against negotiating with terrorists. When the taboo is broken, it’s a lot harder to put back into place.

    Oct 7 should have restored an absolute taboo. No more.

    2. Hamas has been losing. Its defense strategy has failed. Its best hope for staying in power is to boost morale and make its forces and Arab Muslims in Gaza think that this was all for something.

    In today’s article, I delved into why the poll numbers for Hamas and the war were worse in Gaza than in the West Bank. Now Hamas will claim to have delivered a win.

    3. The deal endangers other hostages. Hamas wants time to relocate its forces and the hostages. This deal gives it that. Beyond the temporary cessation of attacks, Israel will ‘blind’ itself to its movements. This not only sets back the war effort, but it allows Hamas to make off with and then kill more hostages.

    4. The deal means that Israel is falling back into the same bad habits of believing in negotiated deterrence that led to the Oct 7 attack. Delusions of diplomacy are a bad idea. Especially when it comes to terrorists. Hamas can’t be negotiated with or deterred. No Islamic terrorist group can. The moment anyone thinks that way, they’ve lost.

    5. Negotiating for hostages leads to the taking of hostages. Period.

    6. Israel had a clear moral case for taking out Hamas. Negotiating with it muddies it and undermines Israel’s supporters.

    7. After Oct 7, there was a conflict within the Biden administration over diplomacy vs. force. The ‘diplomacy’ crowd will now claim to have won and be in the driver’s seat for setting policy. That means people who are basically agents of Qatar and Iran are back in charge of foreign policy. This will have terrible implications for American support for Israel’s war effort.

  6. Bibi Capitulates to Organized Pressure on Partial Hostage Release, Hamas Wins

    Yes, it will [hurt us badly].
    Prime Minister Netanyahu, not for the first time, capitulated to public pressure and ordered the interruption of a stellar IDF attack on the Nazi enemy so his enemies on the left would love him.

    He did it in 2011 when he capitulated before the same crowd and released more than a thousand terrorists with Jewish blood on their hands in exchange for a single IDF corporal named Gilad Shalit. Needless to say, those same murderers revisited the Jewish State on October 7, in an operation that was masterminded by Yahya Sinwar who, you guessed it, was part of that 2011 prisoner exchange.

    From this point on, we can count on Bibi to be a crowd-pleaser and not a leader. He does not have that one essential quality of a leader that shone throughout PM David Ben Gurion’s tenure: the ability to give the people not what they wanted but what he believed they needed….

    What can Hamas achieve under the Ceasefire?

    1. Move the Gaza population back north with no one stopping them.
    2. Move around terrorists using ambulances, tunnels, and thinly disguised as civilians
    3. Reset the timers on hidden rocket launchers
    4. Map the location of all IDF soldiers and units
    5. Import more weapons via Rafah smuggling tunnels
    6. Move hostages to new locations
    7. Transfer “humanitarian aid” and fuel to Hamas units
    8. Build up international pressure to keep the ceasefire going.
    9. Build up international pressure to force the IDF out of Gaza.
    10. Play psychological games with Israel using the hostages.

    And a bonus point:

    11. Give the [anarchists] additional time to undermine Israeli unity and put more pressure on Bibi to end the war.

  17. How the Washington Post Turned a Feel-Good Story into an Anti-Israel Attack

    I have never seen a story quite like the Washington Post piece headlined “Israel’s war with Hamas separates Palestinian babies from their mothers.” The Post labels its news coverage of the conflict “Israel-Gaza War” – an editorial decision which implies Israel is at war with Gaza, rather than the more accurate “Israel-Hamas War” – the term used by the New York Times.

    The gist of the 31-paragraph piece in the news section is that several dozen Palestinian mothers and premature infants have been separated because of the war, the latter all cared for in hospitals in Israel or the West Bank. No one dies in this story; these Palestinian babies are all safe and protected.

    Indeed, the journalists could have written a wholly different story – “Despite war, Gazan babies safe and protected in Israeli and West Bank hospitals” – but they opted to focus on the alleged distress of the mothers instead of the well-being of the babies. I say “alleged” because only one mother was quoted by full name, who was reached by phone in Gaza.

    In a war filled with death, the Washington Post took a fundamentally good news story about premature babies from Gaza cared for by compassionate people across enemy lines and turned it into a horror story, with diabolical Israelis lurking overhead.

    Even as Israel has agreed to a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza to facilitate a ransom deal with Hamas for the release of some of the hostages taken by Hamas in the October 7 attack on Israel, pro-Hamas protesters in New York City staged a blockade of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade on Thursday. Some of the protesters reportedly glued their hands to the street. The blockade followed a float featuring a Palestinian flag being displayed by the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe of Massachusetts and protesters in the reviewing stands holding up banners.

    Communist groups were behind several of the protest groups including ANSWER and the Party for Socialism and Liberation. Banners displayed readers, “Liberation of Palestine and the Planet” and “Genocide Then Genocide Now.”

  21. JUST IN: Multiple People, Including Children, Stabbed Near School in Dublin, Ireland – Suspect Apprehended

    Multiple people, including children, were stabbed near a school in Dublin, Ireland on Thursday by a suspect whose identity has not been released.

    Three children and two adults were taken to a nearby hospital with stab wounds. Their condition is not known.

    Bystanders intervened and at least one of them was injured with possible stab wounds. It appears the suspect may have also been stabbed and went to the hospital as well.

    An eyewitness told Reuters, “I saw a child on the ground, a little girl.”

    “There was complete and utter pandemonium, women wailing, men screaming and crying,” she told Reuters.

    Police and paramedics were on scene. The motive for the attack has not been released as police are still investigating the crime.

    Irish Times reported:

    A major security incident left several people, including at least three children, with injuries in Dublin’s north inner city. A person of interest has been identified and a large knife has been seized at the scene on Parnell Square East. Gardaí have sealed off the scene.

    The Irish Times understands at least three children have suffered suspected stab wounds, though some sources said that number may rise as more information is confirmed. The chief suspect for the knife attack has been detained and had sustained wounds believed to be self-inflicted.

    Early indications suggest a man tried to attack a number of young people, including children, and that passers-by intervened. However, children, in addition to a passer-by and a man restrained at the scene have been hospitalised with injuries, including stab injuries.

    The children that were attacked were as young as 5 to 6 years old. A female victim in her 30s is also being treated at the hospital.

    There are unconfirmed reports that the stabber was a man of ‘foreign descent.’

    The Biden-Harris campaign released a series of talking points for Thanksgiving that is sure to launch family dinners into Civil War II on Thursday. Echoing Joe Scarborough, the Biden-Harris campaign says Trump has promised he will be “shooting people at will” if reelected in 2024.

    Under the immigration talking points responding to the claim “Trump secured our border!”, the Biden-Harris campaign wrote (excerpt), “Now, if he’s reelected, he’s promising to make it worse: Rounding up Latinos into mass detention camps, ending birthright citizenship, and shooting people at will.”

    On Monday, Joe Biden participated in the more civil annual turkey pardon ceremony at the White House.

    The Biden-Harris Thanksgiving talking points were posted with a series of subject matters under the headline, “Your Handy Guide for Responding To Crazy MAGA Nonsense This Thanksgiving,” followed by statements supporting President Trump and Biden-Harris retorts. The first being, “The economy was better during Trump!”

    Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) is a national treasure, complete with an incisive wit and a dry sense of humor. He has displayed these talents throughout his time in the Senate, whether by stumping unqualified Biden nominees or in interviews with reporters.

    Kennedy’s wit was displayed again during an interview with Fox News’ Martha MacCallum. During his appearance, he managed to trigger both the Biden regime and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) after taking a creative shot at clumsy Kamala Harris’s level of “intelligence.”

    He also mocked Biden’s age and lack of energy in the process.

    I’m not saying that this is accurate, but I can read a poll, and the American people have concluded that President Biden is old, and he needs soup and an early bedtime.

    They have concluded that Vice President Harris is not capable — that when her IQ gets to 75, she should sell. Again, I’m not saying that’s fair or accurate, but that’s the conclusion today that the American people have reached. They’re pretty disgusted.

  24. Texas A&M University Employee Arrested on Child Pornography Charges, FBI Uncovers Use of “PIZZA” as Code in Chats

    A Texas A&M University (TAMU) employee, Clinton Harnden, has been arrested by the FBI on charges related to child pornography.

    The arrest came after agents executed a search warrant at Harnden’s residence and found evidence of his involvement in receiving and possessing child pornography materials, KBTX reported.

    Harnden held the position of Senior Administrative Coordinator at Texas A&M University. His LinkedIn profile indicates that he had been employed at the university for more than a decade, but only took on the senior administrative role in July 2020.

    According to the FBI affidavit obtained by Current Revolt, the investigation began following the arrest of Sarah Chadwick in Michigan on November 8 for possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

    During her post-arrest interview, Chadwick revealed her communication with Harnden via WhatsApp, where they exchanged significant amounts of CSAM.

    Further analysis of the chat between Chadwick and Harnden revealed that Harnden used the term “pizza” as a code word to discuss CSAM.

    According to FBI Special Agent Dimitri Willis, “CHADWICK and HARNDEN used the term “pizza” to talk about CSAM during this interaction. I know from my training and experience that “pizza” and/or “cheese pizza” is a known slang/code-word used by individuals to discuss CSAM in public forums without detection. After sharing the CSAM, CHADWICK asked HARNDEN if he thought she was horrible because of all the “pizza.” HARNDEN replied that “Pizza is one of my favorite foods.””

    The investigation further revealed Harnden’s involvement in online communities dedicated to sharing CSAM, including groups on Tumblr and Wickr.

    “Agents reviewed HARNDEN’s “ATXAGGIE2007” Tumblr page. The page was filled with posts and responses about pornographic material, including CSAM. One post by HARNDEN on Tumblr asked “Anyone give out free pizza today.” As stated before, I know from my training and experience that “pizza” and/or “cheese pizza” is a known slang/code- word used by individuals to refer to CSAM,” the affidavit read.

    Harnden also engaged in conversations with another woman named “MONICA” on Snapchat, which is an instant messaging app known for its feature of making pictures and messages temporary.

    At a later point, MONICA instructed Harnden to join Wickr, another instant messenger application. Wickr allowed users to exchange encrypted messages that would self-destruct after a certain period.

    Once Harden joined Wickr, he was added to a group called “Moms.” This particular group on Wickr was exclusively dedicated to sharing CSAM images of children aged 7-8 years and above.

    The Moms group regularly shared CSAM material, and each time Harnden logged into Wickr, he would find approximately 20 to 30 new messages from this group. Despite being aware of the content being shared, Harnden did not remove himself from the Moms group.

    Harnden’s behavior extended to his personal life, with indications of inappropriate conduct towards his own daughter.

    “On one or two occasions, HARNDEN mast—bated in his daughter’s room while his daughter was in bed sleeping. This happened on nights HARNDEN communicated with MONICA about CSAM and incest pedophilia role playing. MONICA and HARNDEN role played committing extreme, aggressive, and violent acts with his daughter. MONICA liked to demean HARNDEN’s daughter by calling her degrading names like c*nt and sl*t,” the affidavit read.

    Southern California Professor Forced to Teach Remotely After Inflammatory Rhetoric Against Hamas

    Economics professor John Strauss from the University of Southern California is teaching remotely for the rest of the term in a controversy that has serious free speech implications. Strauss was made the subject of a protest after confronting protesters on campus and calling for all Hamas terrorists to be killed. A deceptively edited videotape was posted that made it sound like Strauss was calling for all Palestinians to be killed. The move is part of a disturbing trend limiting free speech on campuses.

    The controversy began on Nov. 9th during a pro-Palestinian protest on the USC campus and Strauss walked by near the Tommy Trojan statue on campus. He had words with the protesters and, in the course of their exchange, Strauss said that he walked toward the students and inadvertently stepped on flyers showing Palestinians killed in Gaza. The students said it was intentional.

    When Strauss had a second encounter with the protesters, one student yelled “Shame on you, Professor Strauss. Shame on you.” In response, he yelled “No, shame on you. You people are ignorant. Really ignorant. Hamas are murderers. That’s all they are. Every one should be killed, and I hope they all are.”

    That videotape was then edited and a viral video showed Strauss saying, “Every one should be killed, and I hope they all are.” The posters removed the reference to Hamas.

    Both students and faculty proceeded to file complaints with the university, including claims of students that they felt unsafe and threatened by Professor Strauss being on campus.

    The next day, USC issued a statement that it was aware of the video on social media and was investigating the matter. Strauss says that he also received a call from the associate dean of the college informing him that he was put on paid administrative leave for the rest of the semester. He would only be allowed to teach his graduate class remotely, but reportedly would be barred from his undergraduate class. USC later said that he could teach both classes, but only remotely.

    He is now facing the inevitable cancel campaign with the signature petition demanding his firing for “racist and xenophobic behavior.” It has garnered thousands of signatures. The petition repeats the misleading edited version in stating that Strauss yelled “everyone should be killed, and I hope they all are” and that the words were “not only offensive but also promote and incite violence.”

    FIRE has written a letter to USC, calling for his full reinstatement and continues to advocate on his behalf. The Academic Freedom Alliance, a coalition of college and university faculty focused on protecting freedom of expression, has also issued a letter to USC Provost Andrew Guzman on behalf of Strauss.

    The video shows Strauss responded to the protesters as he walked by. It was clearly protected speech and should not have generated the university order. I have opposed efforts on both sides to ban or blacklist protesters or groups over the war in Gaza. While universities do need to respond to the destruction of flyers (including by faculty) and threats to students or faculty, this incident does not suggest a credible case of threats.It is hard to establish intent when flyers on the ground are walked upon by third parties. We have discussed prior misunderstandings over flyers. However, disciplinary action should not be based on such uncertain facts, particularly after a clearly misleading campaign using a highly edited videotape. Professor Strauss denies that he stepped on the flyers on purpose and his comments concerned Hamas. I have previously written that Hamas is legally, factually, and morally a terrorist organization. Hoping that a terrorist organization is destroyed after a massacre is not the same as wishing to kill all Palestinians.

    The involvement of faculty in joining this effort is disappointing, but unfortunately, not surprising. Faculty members have long joined such cancel campaigns against conservative, libertarian, and dissenting faculty. It is part of what I have described as the most successful anti-free speech movement in history.

    In my view, USC has abandoned its duties to both Professor Strauss and free speech in taking these actions. The treatment of Strauss as a possible threat to students is unsupported and insulting on these facts. Absent new evidence, Professor Strauss should be restored fully to his status, including teaching on campus.

    Professor Strauss is a respected and accomplished academic who was Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal, Economic Development and Cultural Change. He has worked throughout the world on economic development.

  29. In chilly return to past, Putin names new icebreaker “Stalingrad”
    The state leader reportedly approves a proposal to name the super-powerful Arctic vessel after the Communist dictator and mass-murderer.

    The projected nuclear-powered icebreaker was originally to be named Kamchatka. But the Kremlin now appears to have intervened and renamed the powerful ship Stalingrad.

    According to government-controlled newspaper Rossiiskaya Gazeta, the name change comes after a proposal from Governor of Volgograd region Andrei Bochkarev.

    Putin has approved the idea and the icebreaker will carry the name Stalingrad, Bochkarev told the newspaper. “The initiative is important for the preservation of the memory of the bravery of protectors of Stalingrad during the Great Patriotic War, he underlined.

    The city of Volgograd was called Stalingrad until year 1961. It was site of one of the most bloody and cruel battles during the whole Second World War. Up to 1,9 million people are believed to have been killed in the battles that raged between August 1942 and February 1943. It is considered a turning point in the war that ultimately led to the fall of Hitler’s Nazi regime.

    The Stalingrad will be Russia’s sixth icebreaker of the Project 22220. Its construction is due to start in 2024.

    From before, Russia has three vessels of the kind in operation. The Arktika, Sibir and Ural are today instrumental in keeping Arctic ports and shipping lanes open to shipments. The Yakutia and Chukotka are due to be ready for operations in 2024 and 2026 respectively.

  30. ‘We came to kill White people!’ — 9 arrested for murder of French teen in mass stabbing attack

    The gang reportedly used Arabic slurs for White people as they stabbed several partygoers before being tracked down by police more than 400 kilometers away

    French authorities arrested nine individuals on suspicion of murder on Tuesday following the fatal stabbing of a French teenager in a suspected racially motivated attack.

    Eyewitnesses to the stabbing spree in the French village of Crépol on Sunday which cost the life of 16-year-old Thomas and left several others injured have revealed how the knife-wielding gang members spoke of their desire “to kill White people”.

    Promising rugby player Thomas was stabbed in the chest and neck after leaving a winter ball in the quaint village in the early hours of Sunday morning as a gang from a nearby town stood waiting for attendees to leave the village hall.

    Two other men in their 20s were taken to a hospital in Lyon with critical injuries and several others were treated for stab wounds not thought to be life-threatening.

    Further details have since come to light regarding the intentions behind the attack, originally reported by the press as a “brawl” between two sets of youths.

    “It wasn’t just a fight like we’re used to, where there’s little punches thrown at each other. We saw between 15 and 20 people arrive. We didn’t know them, they took out the knives, they were there to kill. We experienced it as an attack,” one eyewitness told French media.

    “There were around thirty of them, according to my daughter’s friends,” said another local resident. “They shouted, ‘We are going to kill White people,’” he added, as cited by Paris Match.

    French police have since amended their description of the attack, telling national media, “A brawl is two groups of young people who have decided to make an appointment and confront each other. Here, we are not in that configuration.”

    Footage circulated on social media which Remix News has chosen not to republish purports to show individuals being stabbed by a group of young men who shout, “F**king gwer” — an Arabic slur for White people.

    All nine suspects were based within the region of Drôme in southeast France. It is understood that seven of those arrested had traveled more than 450 kilometers to the city of Toulouse where they were detained. Two others were arrested in Romans-sur-Isère, a commune 20 kilometers south of Crépol.

    Trump Calling Jack Smith & Team “Deranged” “Political Sleazebags” Raises Constitutional Questions

    “I’ll be the only politician in history” who “won’t be allowed to criticize people,” former President Donald Trump complained last month.

    He was referring to the gag order issued by the judge who is overseeing the federal case that charges him with illegally conspiring to reverse the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.

    While Trump’s claim was characteristically hyperbolic, the order does raise serious constitutional questions that are surprisingly unsettled. That much was clear on Monday, when the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit considered Trump’s First Amendment objections to the speech restrictions that U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan imposed on Oct. 16.

    Trump’s lawyers argue that the order was not justified by a “clear and present danger,” while the government says the relevant question is whether the extrajudicial statements covered by the order would create “a substantial likelihood of material prejudice to the proceedings.” The government’s position “doesn’t seem to give much balance at all to the First Amendment’s vigorous protection of political speech,” D.C. Circuit Judge Patricia Millett remarked.

    Chutkan’s order bars Trump from making “any public statements” that “target” special counsel Jack Smith, his staff, court personnel or “any reasonably foreseeable witness or the substance of their testimony.” Although that language is ambiguous and potentially far-reaching, Chutkan said it left Trump free to defend himself and criticize the prosecution, a major issue in his current presidential campaign.

    Trump portrays the prosecution as a legally baseless and blatantly corrupt attempt to help President Joe Biden by distracting and discrediting his opponent. Chutkan said Trump could continue to make that argument, provided he did not “vilify and implicitly encourage violence against public servants who are simply doing their jobs.”
    Under Chutkan’s order, Trump can describe the prosecution as politically motivated, but he cannot call Smith “deranged” or refer to his staff as “thugs” and “political sleazebags.” Such insults, Chutkan worries, are apt to “encourage violence.”

    That rationale, Trump’s lawyers argue, amounts to an unconstitutional “heckler’s veto,” constraining the candidate’s speech based on speculation about how his audience might react to it. As Millett noted, “inflammatory language” generally is protected by the First Amendment.

    Millett mentioned a 1987 case in which the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit rejected a gag order imposed on Rep. Harold E. Ford Sr. (D-Tenn.), who argued that the Reagan administration’s corruption case against him was politically and racially motivated. “Calling someone racist is pretty inflammatory,” Millett noted.

    The “clearly overbroad” order that the 6th Circuit vacated was more sweeping than the order against Trump. Among other things, it covered any “opinion of or discussion of the evidence and facts in the investigation or case,” statements about “any alleged motive the government may have had in filing the indictment,” and “any opinion” about “the merits of the case.”

    Chutkan’s order nevertheless seems to cover some of the same territory. On its face, it precludes Trump from discussing what potential witnesses might say, which goes to the heart of the case against him.

    As Trump’s lawyers note, those potential witnesses include estranged allies such as former Vice President Mike Pence and former Attorney General Bill Barr. If Trump is not allowed to “target” them, does that mean he cannot respond to their criticism of him, which is obviously relevant to his qualifications for office?

    Still, concerns about witness intimidation cannot be dismissed out of hand. The government cites a pattern of harassment and threats inspired by Trump’s public attacks on people he believed had wronged him, including Pence and election workers in Georgia.

    On Oct. 24, four days after Chutkan temporarily froze her gag order, Trump publicly wondered if Mark Meadows, his former chief of staff, would show himself to be a “coward” and “weakling” by agreeing to “lie” for the prosecution in exchange for immunity.

    The question for the D.C. Circuit is whether Chutkan overstepped in trying to stop Trump from making comments like that.

    We need the return of a sane and powerful European co-partner

    For the first time in a millennium, Europe no longer plays a critical role in promoting Western civilization nor in world history at large.

    Ostensibly it should. Some 750 million people live on the European subcontinent.

    Europe still remains the most popular tourist spot on earth. Its hallowed architecture, art, infrastructure, and natural beauty still remind millions of visitors of the world’s once most dynamic and grandiose civilization.

    Even now, European nations, in and out of the Europe Union, still produce a combined gross domestic product of $24 trillion, second only to the United States.

    Europe’s exports are among the world’s most coveted cars, sophisticated technology, and valued industrial goods.

    Yet since World War II, Europe has played an increasingly reduced role in world affairs, despite its membership in the NATO alliance and the growth of the European Union.

    Why?

    The twentieth-century traumas of World War I and II—in which some 70 million Europeans were killed—saw Europe commit near collective suicide. The ensuing Cold War hinged on protecting a relatively unarmed Europe from an aggressive nuclear Soviet empire on Europe’s borders.

    But as World War II and the Cold War faded into memory, Europe did not snap back and assume its centuries-old role as a world leader and beacon of Western Civilization.

    Instead, a weary Europe outsourced its security to the United States. It redefined itself as a postmodern, pacifist, socialist utopian project—most recently predicated on redistributionist entitlements, open borders, and radical green policies that have all inevitably ensured European decline.

    Europeans grew louder and whinier the less relevant they became.

    Although Europe has large sources of untapped hydroelectrical, nuclear, coal, and natural gas power, its green religion has all but shut down new nuclear and fossil fuel generation and closed existing plants. The result is that the cost of European energy is prohibitive for both the public and industry.

    Recent economic growth was essentially zero throughout the Eurozone. The European cradle-to-grave social net, and its hyper government regulations and restrictions on economic activity increasingly are unsustainable.

    Few European nations spend even a mere two-percent of their GDP on defense. And the result is that both Europe at large and its NATO members cannot defend their continent without the assistance of the United States.

    Nor can Europe project power beyond its shores to preempt dangerous threats on its own horizon or to its allies.

    Europe is also shrinking and aging. Its collective fertility rate of 1.5 is far below the rate of replacement. Most young people in Europe—the ancient home of Christendom—express neither belief in God nor any faith in organized religions.

    In many European countries, foreign-born emigrants comprise twenty percent of the population. Most of them have arrived poor, without education, in mass, illegally, with little desire to fully integrate, from inimical countries, and holding political and religious views hostile to Europe.

    The other half of the West is in little better condition.

    The United States is reeling under $33 in national debt.

    After embracing various bankrupt academic critical legal “theories,” major American cities are unsafe, unhealthy, and unsightly. The American southern border is wide open. Eight million illegal aliens have poured in just since January 2021, many of them hostile to the United States.

    America is increasingly politically, racially, and tribally divided. It has mysteriously determined not to fully utilize its vast natural resources, especially gas, oil, and rare earth metals.

    In this vacuum, the enemies of the West see only opportunity.

    Russia invaded European Ukraine. Its ongoing aggression still terrifies frontline NATO nations.

    China threatens periodically to storm Taiwan, as it bullies it neighbors, buzzes U.S. ships and planes, and manipulates currency, markets, and trade.

    Iran has armed to the teeth anti-Western terrorist organizations like Hezbollah and Hamas.

    Iran’s “Shiite Crescent” from Tehran to Damascus to Beirut to Palestine threatens both pro-Western Arab regimes and Israel.

    Iran brags that its surrogates can destroy Israel and will soon be nuclear with a global reach to both the United States and Europe.

    Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, presumably on the assumption that current generations of Westerners in Israel, the U.S., and Europe would not react too strongly to its precivilization barbarity if it entailed a subsequent messy war.

    In sum, the world is safe only when a strong America, along side its European partner, secure their borders, protect the world’s sea- and air spaces, support constitutional and pro-Western nations, and deter thuggish belligerents.

    Perhaps as war clouds gather and enemies multiply, Europe will rediscover its heritage and reawaken to its historical role.

    Increasingly, a lonely U.S.—and the world at large—need the return of a sane and powerful European co-partner, one that emerges from its self-induced slumber, and resumes its ancient role in preserving civilization from its multiplying enemies

  33. (Richard: There is a well organized war on Western Civilization and the Judo-Christian Religions that form the foundation that Western Civilization rests on. Earlier today I posted an article by Victor Davis Hanson about what needs to be done to restore the US and save some portion of Western Civilization. It may be possible to save the Republic but saving Western Civ is probably beyond our capabilities. Doing this will require that the Nations of Western Europe wake up and start fighting back to kick out the invaders and restore their base cultures. Doing this will require that at least one third of their populations support their efforts and that the nations supporting the invaders are so heavily engaged in military action in other locations that they can’t send massive support to the invaders.

    A California State University professor assigned students a 104-page book entitled “The Baby Jesus Butt Plug” this month in an upper level world literature course.

    That book, which is described as as “trashy and dark” in a web site that sells it, tells of a “ dark and absurd world where human beings are slaves to corporations..and the baby jesus is a very popular anal probe.”

    TheBlaze reports that the professor who assigned the book, Jordan Smith, also assigned a book entitled “The Curious Sofa: A Pornographic Work” which is described on Amazon.com as a “hilarious travesty of lust.” A different reviewer described it as “knee-slappingly hysterical blaspheme.”

    Smith confirmed to The Blaze that he assigned the controversial book and defended it. He noted that he “assigned a reader of Bizarro Fiction, a new genre of surreal gross-out literature in the United States.”

    This occurred at California State University–Long Beach.

    While terms such as the “Baby Jesus Butt Plug” are not too offensive to be used on campus, words such as “picnic” are viewed as offensive by some. A scheduled “picnic” at the University of Nevada Las Vegas was renamed “Lunch by the Lake” due to “diversity and inclusion” concerns. The group running the picnic “informed members that the word ‘picnic’ has ‘historical and offensive connotations,’ and apologized for ‘any harm or discomfort’ caused by its use.”

    As The College Fix noted,

    The group’s view mirrors that of the University of Michigan’s IT department from several years ago: “Picnic” was included in a “Words Matter Task Force’s” list of offensive words and phrases along with “brown bag,” “blacklist” and “long time, no see” among others.

    At the time, Reuters did a fact check on the alleged offensiveness of “picnic”; its verdict: It “does not originate from racist lynchings” but instead comes from the 300-plus-year-old French word “pique-nique,” meaning a potluck-like social gathering….

    Still, Reuters claimed 19th and 20th-century lynchings of black Americans “often occurred in gatherings that could be referred to as picnics.” But a PolitiFact article noted the term historians actually use is “spectacle lynchings” — where people “took photographs and looked for souvenirs.”

    Ferris State University’s David Pilgrim, curator of the Jim Crow Museum of Racist Memorabilia, said “it’s possible someone used the word ‘picnic’ to refer to lynchings, but ‘what we know for a fact is that’s not where the word ‘picnic’ came from.’”

      Transgender Biological Male Arrested for Threatening To Copy Nashville School Shooting

      A transgender biological male has been arrested for threatening to do a copycat of the Nashville school shooting.

      In March, transgender killer Audrey Hale entered the Covenant School in Nashville and killed three nine?year?old children and three adults before being killed by responding police officers.

      On November 7, Jason Lee Willie, also known as “Alexia” Willie, was charged with 14 counts of Interstate Communication of a Threat to Injure, all felonies, for threatening to kill school children and rape Christian girls, according to an indictment obtained by the Daily Caller.

      In one of the threats, which he sent from Illinois to Virginia, stated, “We’re out here walking into your school, shooting your children, and I’m gonna tell you right now, I’m gonna be one of them and the FBI isn’t gonna stop me, but I’m gonna kill your children out here.”

      In addition to bragging about being a pedophile, Willie also threatened to kill a black woman and her child while using racial slurs during a video call on an online platform.

      “Well, I guarantee I’ll be in the bathroom raping your Christian daughters, and there ain’t nothing you f-ggots can do about it,” Willie said, according to the indictment.

      “I don’t care I’m openly a pedo. I’m openly a pedophile. I literally feel on your girls’ p-ssies. You guys can’t do nothing about us. You can cry. Cry. Put me on national television, I don’t care. I’m transgender, I’m in the bathroom raping your f-cking daughters,” Willie said in another message.

      Willie also discussed Hale directly.

    This Spring, an Arab militia in Sudan, the RSF, engaged in a series of mass killings and rapes near the provincial capital of El Geneina. The violence drove most of the African Masalit tribe into the neighboring country of Chad. This month, the RSF returned to finish the job, Reuters says:

    In early November, fighters led by Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) sought out members of the Masalit community for killing, dozens of survivors told Reuters. The focus: Ardamata, an outlying district in El Geneina, capital of West Darfur state.

    RSF forces overpowered a Sudanese army base in Ardamata, using drones to attack the soldiers there, survivors said. Sudanese army commanders abandoned their troops during the fighting…The RSF and its allied Arab militias then intensified their attacks on civilians living in a camp for internally displaced people in Ardamata and in surrounding neighborhoods, launching an assault on many of the tens of thousands of people living there, most from the darker-skinned Masalit tribe.

    Dozens of survivors …. described seeing Masalit men rounded up and shot. Some said they saw people being hacked to death with axes and machetes. Hundreds were taken to a soccer field in the area, where two eyewitnesses said they saw people being executed by Arab captors. Bloated corpses lay in the streets of Ardamata for days. Homes were burned and looted, some stripped bare as looters made off with TVs, kitchenware, and even doors and windows.

    The attack on Ardamata comes after the RSF, a paramilitary force drawn mainly from Arab tribes, and allied Arab militia forces earlier this year drove hundreds of thousands of El Geneina’s former Masalit majority out of the city. In a campaign that lasted almost two months, Arab forces killed hundreds of residents of El Geneina, most of them members of the Masalit tribe. Many of the survivors fled to Chad.

    It’s unclear how many Masalit remain in El Geneina. In 2022, the multiethnic city had a population of 540,000, according to UNICEF, the United Nations children’s agency. In the wake of this year’s fighting in Darfur, almost half a million Sudanese refugees now live in camps on the Chad side of the two nations’ border.

    Ardamata represented one of the last pockets of the Masalit’s presence in the city…The European Union estimates that more than 1,000 Masalit were killed in Ardamata….the “latest atrocities” in Ardamata were part of “a wider ethnic cleansing campaign conducted by the RSF with the aim to eradicate the non-Arab Masalit community from West Darfur.”….

    The bloodletting in Darfur erupted days after war broke out in April in the capital, Khartoum, between Sudan’s regular army and the RSF over a plan to integrate the two forces as the country transitioned to civilian rule. The war has displaced more than 6 million people, including the nearly 500,000 who have crossed into Chad, mostly from West Darfur…West Darfur is the Masalit’s historic homeland. Violence in the region has long been stoked by competition for land and water between non-Arab farming peoples like the Masalit and nomadic Arab herders.

    The RSF has gained ground in recent months. After seizing swathes of Khartoum, it has forced retreats by the Sudanese army in parts of the Darfur and Kordofan regions. In late October, the RSF overran army headquarters in Nyala and Zalingei, two of the five state capitals in Darfur.

    The RSF also recently slaughtered 1600 people, almost all Masalit, at a camp for displaced people in Western Sudan.

    Over half of American voters — 52% — live in a household where someone owns a gun. That is the highest percentage ever.

    In 2019, 46% of Americans said that they or someone in their household owned a gun. In 2013, only 42% of households had a gun.

    The latest results were revealed in an NBC News poll. “In the last ten years, we’ve grown [10 points] in gun ownership. That’s a very stunning number,” said Micah Roberts of Public Opinion Strategies, a Republican polling firm that took the survey along with the Democratic polling firm Hart Research.

    “By and large, things don’t change that dramatically that quickly when it comes to something as fundamental as whether you own a gun,” Roberts said.

    Gun ownership rates differ based on respondents’ political party, reports NBC:

    This month, 66% of Republican voters surveyed say that they or someone in their household owns a gun, while just 45% of independents and 41% of Democrats say the same.

    In 2004, a March NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll found that 57% of Republicans said that they or someone in their household owned a gun, while just 41% of independents and 33% of Democrats said the same.

    White voters tend to own guns at higher rates than Black or Latino voters, but gun ownership rates among Black voters have jumped in recent years.

    In August 2019, 53% of white voters said that they or someone in their household owned a gun, and 24% of Black voters said the same.

    This month, 56% of white voters report that they or someone in their household owns a gun and 41% of Black voters say the same, – a 17-point increase among that group in just four years.

    A while back, I wrote about the shady actions of one of the writers at The Trace. That same writer basically tried to cover for the ATF in a different piece.

    The writer’s name is Alain Stephens and, of course, he writes at The Trace.

    The Trace tries to present itself as a journalistic organization, and Stephens presents himself as a journalist. But Stephens is anything but a neutral observer. That’s clear from some of his previous work, but now we have an inkling as to why he’s this way.

    On Monday, February 25th, 2008, my dad took his own life. He was 50 years old. I was just 21. He never showed any signs of depression, addiction, or mental illness. And to this day, I still really don’t know why.

    I was the one who found him. I called the police that day, and when they arrived, there were no condolences offered, no words of comfort. In fact, they’d sprawl me alongside a patrol car, frisk me for weapons, and make me sign an affidavit of what I’d seen. To them, I was merely a bystander.

    Edris told me the day is a blur in her memory, but she remembers seeing the side of my head first that day: “I could tell by your posture, that you were broken, and it broke me.” When she finally saw my face, she remembered a look of “just utter shock and disbelief.”

    …

    For every person torn away from this planet because of gun violence, a multitude of people are left behind, trying to figure out exactly what to do. In the course of reporting this show, I met other Americans reckoning with the unpredictable trajectory of loss.

    He’s not wrong here. Anyone who loses someone they care about to any form of violence find themselves trying to figure out what to do, how to go on.

    And I can’t imagine what it’s like to lose one’s father to something like suicide. As I approach the one year anniversary of my father’s death, I can’t even imagine what it must be like to lose a parent to something other than natural causes.

    Stephens and I are never likely to be friends, but I can feel awful for him and that he had to go through that.

    However, there’s more.

    For me, that led to becoming a journalist. Trying to make sense of the senseless.

    Trying to understand why we as a leading developed country stand as an anomaly in domestic death.

    And fighting to unravel the story of guns in America. In my time covering this beat, I’ve come to see more clearly how they’re shrouded in myth, marketing, and politics that prevents us from understanding how to solve the problem of gun violence.

    First, as for Stephens being a journalist, I beg to differ. He’s an activist. This piece stands as a testimony as to why he’s an activist, but he’s still an activist just the same. The links at the top of this piece illustrate just how much of an activist he is.

    Further, this dedication to pretending America stands as some great anomaly simply because of guns that we see in this second paragraph.

    As he started down this road due to his father’s suicide, perhaps he’d be shocked to learn that Japan’s suicide rate is more than twice the rate in the US, all despite having incredibly strict gun control laws. (Interestingly, Germany’s is higher as well, also with strict gun control.)

    Despite his career as a supposed journalist looking at the issue of violence in America, he’s never reckoned with the fact that our non-gun homicide rate is greater than many developed nations’ total homicide rate. Including Japan’s, for what it’s worth.

    I won’t argue that we’ve got a problem, but if our non-gun homicide rather is higher than the total rate in other high-income nations, then maybe the problem lies somewhere other than guns.

    Now, Stephens is right that guns are “shrouded” in a lot of ways, but he doesn’t get a pass for his role in shrouding them. If he is, in fact, a journalist, then he should be working to get to the truth. That should have let him see all of these facts and present them in a neutral, unbiased way.

    He did not.

    Maybe it’s because the tragedy of losing his father 15 years ago is still too fresh. I don’t know. I’m sure that has played a role.

    But tragedy doesn’t mean you must go down that particular road. Gun control isn’t the only potential answer to grief.

    Believe me, I know. So does our own Ryan Petty, who lost his daughter in the Parkland shooting.

    What that grief did, at least for me, was make me question my beliefs for half a heartbeat, but the truth was still the truth. It didn’t change because some psychopath flipped out because his favorite coffee shop wouldn’t serve him anymore due to his past behavior.

    It wouldn’t have justified me lying to someone to land an interview that I’d then use to present him and the company in an anti-gun light. It wouldn’t have justified me breaking basic journalistic principles like that.

    Grief is real and no one can tell you how to grieve. We can tell you that the rules don’t change just because you’re grieving.

    A skin-disfiguring parasite has landed in America.

    According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a parasite known as Leishmania may already be endemic in Texas and other southern states, CBS News reported.

    The parasite, which is transmitted through the bites of infected female sandflies, causes a disease known as leishmaniasis, resulting in skin sores that develop weeks after the bite has occurred.

    Cases of leishmaniasis typically affect individuals who have traveled abroad to tropical or subtropical regions.

    However, the CDC has recently discovered 86 Leishmania cases from individuals who have no recent travel history outside America, NBC News reported.

    Researchers also identified an exclusive Leishmania strain that exhibited distinct genetic characteristics compared to cases associated with travel. This means that the strain was likely spreading locally.

    Per the CDC’s website, Leishmaniasis is a “parasitic disease that is found in parts of the tropics, subtropics and southern Europe.

    LAPD arrived on the scene around 4:45 p.m. and protestors peacefully moved down the street at about 5:30 p.m., LAPD Captain Rich Gabaldon said.
