Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  1. Not every country aspiring to join the BRICS group is an enemy of the U.S. Certainly not Argentina, Brazil, India or South Africa. So why seek an alternative to the USD for trade?

    History. The average duration of a world reserve currency is about 90 years. And they all end the same way–by becoming overextended by debt and having to clip their coins. It’s no big secret that U.S. debt, including unfunded liabilities, can never be paid.

    It also is no secret that U.S. politicians cannot stop spending. Didn’t Biden just give Iran $10b? If that’s not thumbing your nose at fiscal responsibility while the world is watching your fiscal responsibility, I don’t know what is.

    Under Keynesianism the world has witnessed the greatest eradication of world poverty in history. Also under deficit financing has the West enabled Red China to rise like a rocket, because we paid for their factories and their slave labour. Deficit financing has also paid for the Comintern, the United Nations, the WEF, and every other globalist enterprise.

    Both friend and foe of the U.S. watched when the Biden regime took $300b of Russian foreign reserves after it went to war with the Ukraine. Crossing the U.S. politically suddenly became very expensive. This accelerated the need for an alternative to trade and saving. Did you know that in the last few months gold has been less volatile than U.S. T-Bills? Treasuries are supposed to be the most rock-solid investment in the world. They are the foundation of everything. However, the U.S. 10-year, the rock of the rock, has been so distorted by money printing that it no longer serves this purpose of real price discovery. That the BRICS, or some entity resembling it, would form in the face of all of this, was an organic inevitability. Suddenly U.S. T-Bills are showing their counterparty liabilities.

    Central Bank gold hoarding is at a 50-year high. Not surprising given that the USD has lost 90% of its purchasing power since August 15, 1971. So the superficial arithmetic of what’s going on is relatively simple. The deeper stuff such as the drama going on in the treasuries market is more complicated, but doesn’t contradict this arithmetic. In fact it makes it look even worse. Ironically the Chinese debt situation may be greater. Yes, Keynes was even a communist Chinese politician’s dream. However there may be a rabbit in their hat, yet. America’s too. It may explain why there has been so much spending with such alacrity.

    It’s hard to believe that the 8,100 tons of gold on the U.S. books is still valued at $42/oz. At 32,000 oz/ton that’s 259,200,000 ounces. Why? Because they know the longer they keep it down there the more utility will be its valuation modernization. In other words, it will be re-pegged at a much higher value to help balance the books and restabilize the economy. This will be done in concert with other Central Banks and with the BIS. This is why gold was recently added as a tier-1 asset. It is the beginning of the end of the gold futures market until that temporary suspension is removed following the upgrade. Then it will be used to suppress gold for another 90 years. To know what an ounce of Au will be worth post revaluation start by dividing the debt by the number of ounces in storage. And don’t worry, I doubt anyone–especially the Chinese or the Russians–will demand a proper audit of Fort Knox. They will be happy to take our word for it because they almost certainly have accumulated more in their hoarding frenzy.

    I don’t contest this, or any other nefarious machinations, yet.

    That the U.S. needs smart new leadership is a grand understatement. I understand that the “global south” is an attempt to weaponize what is the historically normal evolution of the monetary order. This part of it can be countered by agile U.S. moves, but this won’t happen with a corrupted politburo centered by Obama.

    That’s my quick take.
