Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

      Many are creatures of IRAN at this point, they’ve all got Russian DNA. They’re equally comfortable on RT and PressTV.

      I’m familiar with most of them. They float around alt-right, libertarian, AND hardcore Communist sites. They pose as anti-war, anti-imperialist; they aim to disprove atrocities of their paymasters, invent others for their enemies.

      They quote one another, share links. They gush over a noxious brew of BRICS, the “Global South”, and the win-win (!!) of CHY-na’s BRI. Soul brothers bonding over extreme loathing of AmeriKKKa and Da Joooz.

      Some have sordid personal histories. (Maybe most, but I know only a few _as fact_.) I did a deep dive on Judge Nap’s guests during this Ukraine interlude. You’ll notice their names on this list.

    A Secret Service agent assigned to protect Biden’s granddaughter opened fire on three suspects attempting to break into an unmarked Secret Service vehicle in Washington DC.

    Law enforcement officials reported a Secret Service agent assigned to protect Naomi Biden, the daughter of Hunter Biden, opened fire on three suspects attempting to break into an unmarked Secret Service SUV in a Georgetown neighborhood late Sunday night.

    None of the suspects were struck by the agent’s fire, and they were all able to flee the scene of the crime.

    The suspects were last seen in a red vehicle, and an investigation is underway.

  11. Forget the Wars: Key Demo Shows Americans More Concerned with US Border Breaches Than Foreign Ones, Poll Shows

    New polls show that Americans believe securing its Southern Border is a higher priority than supporting either embattled Ukraine or Israel.

    A Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll shows that 68 percent of respondents in seven swing states support increased funding for border protection, according to Bloomberg.

    That topped the poll’s support for increased aid to Israel, which 61 percent of swing state voters support, or aid to Ukraine, which was supported by 58 percent of those polled.

    The poll of 4,922 registered voters was conducted Oct. 30 to Nov. 7. It sampled voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The overall margin of error for the poll was one percentage point.

    i24 News – The UN’s special in the Palestinian territory, Francesca Albanese, said Sunday that Israel should make peace with the terrorist organization Hamas.

    “It needs to make peace with Hamas in order to not be threatened by Hamas,” Albanese said during a series of speeches and media events in Australia, as quoted by The Sydney Morning Herald.

    Albanese went on to claim that Israel would use the war on Hamas as a pretext to displace Palestinians, “Once again, as in 1947-49 [the creation of the state of Israel], as in 1967 [when Israel captured Gaza and the West Bank in the Six-Day War] because this has always been the strategy of Israel.”

    I am 94 years old and like many of you, I am exhausted by politics and saddened by what I see happening to America. I had hoped it was time for me to move to the sidelines and let younger generations continue the fight to preserve America’s founding freedoms and values. But, like so many of us, I realized that I could not let myself walk away; the stakes are just too high.

    We cannot let the America we see today be what we leave to our children and grandchildren. Many of our once-great cities have devolved into lawlessness with random violent attacks on innocent people, rampant looting, and large-scale homeless encampments. There are rarely consequences for the wrongdoers because George Soros-elected prosecutors across America refuse to prosecute them.

    Moreover, our southern border is unprotected, and millions of people we know nothing about pour into our nation to receive care and benefits that we cannot afford to provide to our struggling military veterans. Worse, many of the border crossers may be gang members who commit violent crimes here. Schoolchildren across America cannot read, write, or do basic math, while our educational leaders tell us that they know better than parents how to raise our children. Working men and women are struggling to provide for their families and must raid their retirement funds just to feed, clothe, and take care of their children. These are just a few of the problems America is facing after three years of bad government policies. They cannot be our legacy.

    This should not be a partisan issue. This should be an issue for all Americans – Democrats, Republicans, and Independents – that I hope to reach with this op-ed. You enjoy the freedoms and values on which the nation was founded. Sadly, I see these freedoms and values being eroded today as government gets bigger and weaponized against its political opponents.

    I wrote this op-ed because of my love for America, not for any financial gain or advantage. I have been retired for 30 years and spend my time engaged in philanthropic causes, with which I have committed to share 90% of my net worth. I was born here and can give testimony about The American Dream. I lost my job and was broke when I was 48 years old. A dear friend of mine suggested that my misfortune presented a great opportunity to build a small business based upon an idea I had shared with him. Only in America, the land of opportunity, could being without a job and broke be a great opportunity. In 1978, my partners and I built four hardware stores, and this small business grew and is known as The Home Depot. We could only have done this in America because of America’s system of free enterprise and pro-jobs growth government policies. The state of America today, especially record inflation, government over-regulation, and the problems of the last three years, would prevent my partners and I from succeeding as we have.

    Part of our legacy must be passing on to future generations of Americans our founding freedoms and values, including The American Dream. We must change the current trajectory of the nation and solve the problems created in the last three years. We must also reject calls from some politicians to replace our free market system with big government socialism. Most of them seem to have never had a job outside of government. All they know is making government bigger and more intrusive in the lives of its citizens.

    I wrote above that I wanted to sit on the sidelines of politics, but the stakes were too high for me just to walk away. The stakes are America’s path forward. Do we want to continue the perilous trajectory we are now on? I do not because it would be disastrous for all Americans except the political elite.

    For Democrats, the choice is simple. If you feel that you are better off now than you were three years ago, you should vote for Joe Biden or whoever is the Democrat candidate. For Republicans, the choice is also simple. Let’s face it: Donald Trump is going to win the nomination. You should be doing all you can to ensure his winning the general election.

    I understand the frustration of some of my Republican friends who do not like or are offended by things Donald Trump does and says. I, too, have been frustrated at times, but we cannot let his brash style be the reason we walk away from his otherwise excellent stewardship of the United States during his first term in office. Now is the time for unity to save The American Dream for future generations.

    For these reasons, I endorse Donald J. Trump as the nominee of the Republican Party and as our next President. I endorse him not only because he has the best chance of winning the general election but because he is the best person to take on and dismantle the administrative state that is strangling America. The new war in the Middle East will present great challenges for the free world for some time, especially in keeping other terrorist groups or nations out of the conflict. This will require a president with the judgment, strength, decisiveness, and courage that Donald Trump displayed in his first term when he ordered the strike that killed the Iranian terrorist Gen. Qasem Soleimani and dissuaded Russia from invading Ukraine. Many, including myself, believe that Hamas would not have unleashed its barbarism and cruelty on Israel if Donald Trump was our president today. The reason is America’s enemies respect and, more importantly, fear Donald Trump’s judgment, strength, decisiveness, and courage. It is critical that America’s next leader have these attributes in the face of Hamas murdering innocent babies, old people, including Holocaust survivors, entire families; burning alive innocent people; raping women and young girls; and other unspeakable acts.

    I urge my fellow Democrats, Republicans, and Independents to put their love for America above all else. I urge the Republican National Committee to end the Republican debates that only benefit ad makers and political consultants. They are unproductive and embarrassing.

  14. IRS whistleblowers in Hunter Biden tax case vindicated by witness testimony

    Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss is the top-ranking witness to confirm in his testimony the consistency of the IRS Whistleblowers’ account of the Hunter Biden investigation, including allegations of higher-ups running interference for Biden. Weiss is now part of a growing cadre of witnesses who support claims of political interference and delays in the investigation of the first son.

    When the IRS whistleblowers publicized their concerns about how the Hunter Biden investigation was handled by the Justice Department, Democrats, the media, and Hunter Biden’s lawyers assailed their credibility.

    Now, witness by witness, congressional Republicans have secured testimony that repeatedly confirmed the whistleblowers’ accounts.

    The latest revelation in the Hunter Biden investigation saga comes from closed door testimony by Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss before the House Judiciary Committee this morning. After the testimony, Chairman Jim Jordan, R.-Ohio, told reporters that the testimony confirmed the IRS whistleblowers’ contention that Weiss was denied special anttorney authority by Biden’s Justice Department.

    “When he was specifically asked, did you ever request special attorney authority under Section 515, Mr. Weiss’s response was yes, in the spring of 2022. So that that goes to the heart of the matter,” Jordan told reporters, according to a House Judiciary Committee post to X.

        When I read this, it reminded of some of the things people would say when I was young. What a different world now. My brother who is 17 months old than me, was a pesky little brat, he like to push me around. One day I told him to go to the devil, he ratted on me to our mother. I was asked if I said that to him and I said yes. (Ha, I planted my feet and said yes).
        I was spanked. The next day I terrorized him with my pet snake that I hid in garage.

        I did make the mistake of leaving my dear little grass snake in my pocket. He crawled out in the night and that is when we heard our mother screaming in the bathroom.

        My mother was one of the smartest women I have known, but there she was standing on the toilet seat, yelling for my father. LOL. My snake was banned from the house.

        OMG, so glad I am not a kid today, they would be saying I was a boy. Played hockey, learned to box, for sure I would be a candidate. LOL Ain’t life funny at times.

    The potential dangers of AI are expected to be a major focus of the US-China discussions, taking place on the sidelines of this year’s Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in San Francisco.

    Both Washington and Beijing have expressed concerns over the unregulated use of this technology to fuel conflicts.

    We are not in a sharia court here. This is not the Islamic Republic of Iran or an Islamic caliphate.

    It is Washington DC where these extreme threats reverberate through the speaker, where sentences are apparently already being handed down.

    The demonstrators are threatening Western politicians, MPs and media, making it clear to them that they themselves will deal with the “genocide” they are “organising”.

    It reminds me of the many fatwas and death sentences pronounced and carried out in Islamic Iran against the “enemies of Allah”.

    They stamp, they will bring them to justice, they judge, they condemn and they ensure that some will even take action.

    The West really needs to take this seriously before there is no turning back.
    Let what happened over the past few days be a wake-up call.
    The signs are abundantly clear.

    Schuyler Gordon, 37, a law clerk and volunteer fireman from Great Neck, New York, volunteered as a firefighter with the Emergency Volunteers Project and deployed to Israel for two weeks in October…

    Dr. Zev Neuwirth, 54, an internist from Miami, volunteered as an army doctor. “War broke out on Saturday. By Sunday, I was in Israel. I recently retired from the Marines’ Civil Affairs Group; so I am a physician with military experience on the front lines.”

    “I’ve seen soldier-to-soldier combat injuries. But this hits my heart on a personal level. It’s about our blood and our right to exist. [Hamas] wants to wipe us off the face of the Earth.”

    “I embed myself with front-line units and provide medical support first and, after that, any aid I can offer – whether it’s psychological or delivering supplies. The heartfelt connection is tremendous.”

    Reuben Taub, 65, is a private investor in New York City who is volunteering as a cook.

    “My daughter, Melissa, lives in Tel Aviv. She found a group called Grilling for the IDF. Two days after the attack, I found myself flipping hundreds of burgers for the soldiers. It feels purposeful and like the right thing to do. You’re helping.”

    Hamas Has Built a Command Base under Shifa Hospital

    Israeli security officials say Hamas has spent 16 years building a vast command complex under Shifa hospital in Gaza City, and setting up similar bases underneath other medical facilities.

    American officials agree, citing their own intelligence.

    Israeli officials said the hospital was spared in past Israeli operations out of concern for civilian life, but at the cost of leaving what is underneath it intact.

    It is a mistake that Israel will not repeat this time. The complex under Shifa is one of the principal Israeli targets of the war.

    Israel said Sunday it was securing a route for civilians and patients to leave Shifa.

    Israel has released a 3-D representation of the Hamas command complex beneath the hospital, audio recordings of Hamas fighters discussing the tunnels under Shifa, and videos of captured militants discussing the tunnels.

    A former senior official at the Israel Security Agency said the compound included several floors with spaces for meetings, living quarters and storage facilities. It can hold at least several hundred people.

    Israeli military intelligence said “there are several underground complexes used by the leaders of the terrorist organization Hamas to direct their activities.”

    Israeli intelligence officials showed the Times photos of secret entrances to the compound from inside the hospital.

    American officials said they are confident that Hamas has used tunnel networks under hospitals, in particular Shifa, for command and control areas as well as for weapons storage.

    Evidence has revealed the contours of Hamas’ intentions to strike a blow of historic proportions. After breaching the Israeli border in 30 places, Hamas staged a mass slaughter of soldiers and civilians in 22 Israeli villages, towns and military outposts.

    Some carried enough food, ammunition and equipment to last several days and had instructions to continue deeper into Israel if the first wave of attacks succeeded, potentially striking larger Israeli cities. Hamas assault teams penetrated as far as Ofakim, an Israeli town 15 miles from Gaza, about half the distance to the West Bank.

    One unit carried reconnaissance information and maps suggesting an intention to continue the assault up to the border of the West Bank. Hamas sought to kick-start a new wave of violent Palestinian resistance in the region and scuttle efforts at normalizing relations between Israel and Arab states.

    NEW: New York City migrants are now complaining and leaving their new makeshift tent city, brought to them by Mayor Eric Adams, because it wasn’t nice enough.

    Remarkable.

    The Adams administration attempted to transport dozens of families to a makeshift tent city in Brooklyn on Sunday, however migrants hate it.

    Multiple immigrant families refused to make the new tent city their home shortly after getting off the bus.

    One frustrated illegal immigrant complained that he and his family were “not told where we were going” when they got on the bus to Brooklyn’s tent city.

    “I work in The Bronx. My kids go to school in The Bronx. For us to live out here is ridiculous,” he added.

    Another illegal immigrant also refused to move into the tent city and said he planned on returning to the Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan.

    “They just said they were taking us to a shelter,” he complained. “I cannot stay here. This is crazy,” he added.

    The Roosevelt Hotel is a 4-star hotel in Midtown Manhattan that serves as the processing site for the illegal immigrants.

    Since Spring of 2022, over 139,000 non-U.S. citizens have moved to NYC to seek asylum.

    Over 65,000 immigrants are still under Adams’ care with thousands of new illegal immigrants arriving each week.

    Between early 2020 and 2023, 158 companies that manage $993 billion in assets moved their headquarters out of New York City.

    With all of these obstacles for business owners New York Attorney General Letitia James has now started suing businesses based on their politics.

    Letitia’s trial of Donald Trump and his sons and daughter is unprecedented in American history.

    James is persecuting Trump for having a successful business, paying off his debts, paying off banks, and making beautiful real estate properties.

    New York State wants to take over Trump’s business in the state to set an example to all Republicans in the state – “Run a successful business in New York City and you will be punished.”
