This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  2. Long ago it was James Joyce who knew, and said, that to be a patriot you had full licence to criticize your country. You did so because you loved it, and by pointing out what was wrong maybe you could help it. Contrarily, it did not have to mean you were a subversive communist.

    Here, Kunstler makes his point that life for those with debt–debt that was wholly encouraged by interest rates held historically low for historically long–is about to make life more difficult. He’s talking about the middle class.

    I have said for as long as I’ve been commenting here that the luxury to believe in fairy tales comes from the monetary policy of Keynesian idiots. Mind you, such policy has been egged on with full cognizance by the global Comintern. Full stop. You can live any lie or entertain any fantasy you wish so long as you can afford it. You can also execute dialectical fictions paid for and under cover of worthless fiat currencies. But once the music stops–and in this case it means credit flow–we will descend into the boiling fray of cascading insolvency. It also seems, given current events, that the dialectical refocus on history’s scapegoat walks in lockstep with economic deterioration. Given all arguments on all things currently in flight, it is wildly wild to not see the clarity in the fact that the world’s population is about 25% Islamic (almost 2,000,000,000) to 14 million (.2 %) Jewish. So for those of you lurking readers who choose to root for the overdog and not the underdog, look in the mirror at the bully you are. Congratulations, you’ve transitioned without surgery.

    At this point anyone who says they didn’t see it coming has it coming. Willful ignorance is just another luxury of our time. This extends to all the other threats out there, and these are many. No, the sky isn’t falling and the sun will rise, but with the rising sun the sleeping will awaken to a different dawn.

    The root-cause of today’s antisemitism, for example, is not primarily because Jew haters exist. They have always existed. Rather, it is because state monetary malfeasance has enabled it. Importing Islam has cost the West a lot of money. Sub-prime human capital is no way to perpetuate prosperity and cohesion. Modern Monetary Theory is another expensive charade. Financing communist ideology, a sharply antisemitic system itself, now bears its hateful fruit. There is no surprise. Leaders such as Dear Leader admonishing university violence are the culpable ones.

    As an aside note, too, that Canada, with its state-sponsored multiculturalism, is only a neck ahead in this poisonous race race. Other countries such as the U.S., that have somehow managed to survive with no such institutionalized collectivist, corrosive policy, now discover themselves equally stuck in this shitty mud.

    This week I went to pick up my new eyeglasses. I needed a new prescription for my progressive lenses. When I was finished with the young lady who conducted the requisite eyeball measurements, I went to pay the clerk.

    “He” was a young, fat, hair-dyed, finger-nail polished (black), gender-denying sad sack of a specimen. Like Joyce I am unapologetic in my criticism of this national product. However I must admit that I, too, am transitioning. Yes, despite my “progressive” lenses I am transitioning to the state of mind that readies itself not for my own awakening (I’m jagged on espresso), but for when harsh reality descends upon those unaware and unprepared. The best thing for this optometrist fairy-princess clerk will be when he inevitably breaks a nail digging ditches.

    Says charter requires a pass for Hamas’ home in Gaza

    An official “commissioner” inside the United Nations is using semantics to claim that Israel has no right of self-defense against the home of the Hamas terrorists who butchered 1,400 innocent civilians during an invasion on Oct. 7.

    It is Francesca Albanese, in the office for the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights as a special rapporteur for Palestinians, who has argued semantics.

    She claims “self-defense” has a “narrow meaning under Article 51 of the U.S. charter” and that it does not give the Jewish state the right to defend itself against the home of the Hamas terrorists who invaded and slaughtered 1,400 civilians.

    A report at the Washington Free Beacon explains Albanese believes the definition requires the threat to come from “another state,” and since she claims Hamas comes from an “occupied territory,” Israel’s defense of its own citizens is a crime.

    “Under Art 51, use of force in #SelfDefense is permissible solely to repel an armed attack by another State,” Albanese claimed. “Threats from armed groups from within occ. territory give state the RIGHT TO PROTECT ITSELF, but not to wage war against the state from which the armed group emanates.”

    She continued, on Israel’s campaign to destroy the threat to its citizens, “The attacks are clearly indiscriminate, disproportionate and violate the principle of precaution. One cannot bomb hospitals hosting hundreds of patients and sheltering thousands of refugees. Sorry, we need to look for another solution, and not to bomb hospitals. Absolutely not. This is criminal.”

    Actually, while Hamas reported that an Israeli rocket had hit a Gaza hospital, killing “500,” the truth is that it was a Hamas rocket gone askew that hit a hospital parking lot, leaving some property damage.

    The Free Beacon reported, “The day after Hamas’s Oct. 7 attack that killed more than 1,400 Israelis, mostly civilians, Albanese said she was ‘horrified by the narrative’ that focused outrage on Hamas for the attack. She also condemned Israel’s ‘militarized settler colonial occupation’ and violence against ‘defenseless Palestinians.’”

    Actually, the Hamas terrorists, reports confirm, carried drugs with them so they could reduce their own sensitivity and instructions for carrying out atrocities, such as beheading babies and burning whole families alive, which they did.

    Other officials at the U.N., which has a long and radicalized history of attacking Israel more than any other group on earth, already had blasted Israel for its self-defense.

    Secretary General Antonio Guterres earlier adopted a political agenda in claiming that the Hamas terror attacks “did not happen in a vacuum.”

    Polling shows American voters value border security far more highly than the Ukrainian or even the Israeli war effort, with almost 70 percent of respondents to a Morning Consult survey saying they approve of more funding for the U.S.-Mexico border.

    Sixty-eight percent of respondents backed more money for border protection, compared to 61 percent who backed aid for Israel and 58 percent who backed aid for Ukraine. In terms of voters’ top issues going into the 2024 election, only the economy ranked higher than border security, ranking number one for three times as many people as the Israel-Hamas war.

    Rachel Zegler is the go-to token Hispanic in Hollywood. Steven Spielberg hired her to be Maria in his remake of West Side Story. The film bombed like it were dropped from a B-52 as did her next movie, Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Her third movie premieres later this month. We will see if she is box office poison or box office toxic waste.

    Of course, that is not her third movie. The Disney remake of Snow White is. Disney shot the movie in England in the spring of 2022. Its release date was scheduled for this year, then next year and now it is set for 2025.

    The left is furious with the delays.

    The Guardian said, “Disney’s live action take on the classic 1937 animation Snow White won’t be hitting multiplexes until at least 2025 thanks to the recent writers’ strike, so you might wonder why the studio has chosen this week to publish a first still of the famous princess surrounded by her seven faithful homunculi. It could be because the House of Mouse simply wants us to know that this thing is still on, despite all the weirdness surrounding it. And let’s make no mistake, the furor around this movie really has been downright weird from the beginning.”

    How can a writer’s strike affect a movie more than a year after the movie has been made?

    Well, we know why. They have had to rewrite the movie because test audiences hate it. Disney is using computer-generated imagery in this live-action remake. Never mind that CGI negates it being a live-action movie, Disney has a movie to save.

    In June THOUSANDS of Catholics, Protestants and supporters, gathered outside Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles to protest the team’s decision to honor the demonic group who call themselves the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

    The Dodgers and Major League Baseball allowed the radical demonic gay group that mocks Catholics and Christianity to be celebrated before the start of the baseball game.

    Following Bishop Strickland’s appearance at the protest in Los Angeles the Vatican allegedly sent two bishops to Texas to confront and harass Bishop Strickland in Texas.

    On Saturday the commie Pope Francis dismissed Bishop Strickland from his duties in the Diocese of Tyler, Texas.

    Strickland’s removal on Nov. 11 comes after the Vatican Dicastery for Bishops completed a formal investigation in the diocese earlier this year called an apostolic visitation, which, according to a source, looked into the bishop’s social media use and questions related to diocesan management.

    Strickland, 65, served as bishop of the Diocese of Tyler since 2012. The widely popular though polarizing Texas bishop had faced criticism for his firebrand social media posts, including a May 12 tweet that suggested Pope Francis was “undermining the Deposit of Faith.”

    The Vatican announcement did not provide a reason for the bishop’s removal. Bishop Joe Vásquez of Austin will serve as the apostolic administrator for the Diocese of Tyler until a new bishop is appointed.

I told her she was correct, and then I said, “The Ottomans were Muslims, and Remembrance Day first started after Britain, and France and others defeated us, killed millions of our people, and then made his celebration starting on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, November 11th, to forever remember “their” soldiers who fought to defeat us in that war and, to invade Our lands. That is why we don’t celebrate Remembrance Day, because we would be celebrating their soldiers who killed millions of Muslims”. She said “ooooh, OK”.

    During WW 11, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem met with Hitler in Germany to discuss the elimination of the Jews…….Muslim troops served in the Waffen SS on the Eastern Front and assisted the “final solution”.

    His thoughts were never mentioned on any “news” organization in Canada. We just heard 24 / 7 about Don Cherry’s comment.

  25. Reporter Douglas Murray Gives Unsettling Analysis of the Ongoing Israel-Hamas War That Others are Too Scared to Admit (VIDEO)

    During a recent intense and revealing interview on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” British political commentator and reporter, Douglas Murray, offered a critical perspective on the current Israel-Hamas conflict. His insights, often overshadowed by mainstream media narratives, shine a light on the complexities of the situation.

    Piers Morgan opened the conversation with concerns of creating an atmosphere for greater radicalization due, in part, to the high amount of civilian casualties.

    Associating Barack Obama’s statement, Morgan poses the question: won’t all of these young Palestinians inevitably grow to become a new iteration of Hamas seeking revenge for loved ones lost?

    Douglas Murray countered with a provocative argument. He challenged the assumption that there’s a significant portion of the Gazan population desiring peace and a two-state solution, juxtaposed with a few extremists in Hamas.

    Murray cited an instance of violence against a Shani Louk, a Jewish woman, by ordinary Gazans, questioning the presumed peaceful nature of the population.

    “Two things. One is if you just follow the logic of what Barack Obama said, then you just shouldn’t do anything. If you’re Israel, you should be attacked and just sit back and say, great, we’ll wait for the next one.”

    “But the second and more important thing is your question supposes that there is a sort of peaceful Palestinian population in the Gaza who would love a two state solution and then a few bad apples in Hamaz. I think that’s not true.”

    “Why is it that when one of the victims of the music festival, a poor young German-Jewish girl, who it seems was raped and then brutally murdered and taken into the Gaza naked?

    “Why was it that you can find, a crowd of ordinary Gazans —it wasn’t Hamaz, it wasn’t a Hamaz rally— ordinary Gazans spitting on her body, hitting her body, mutilating her body further as it went down the street. Does that strike you Piers, as a placid population of peacenic types who are just desperately waiting for a two state solution to be put back on the table for the millionth time in the last 70 something years? It doesn’t seem like that to me,” Murray refuted.

    Morgan raised the issue of collective punishment, questioning whether holding all Gazans responsible for the actions of Hamas was morally justifiable. Murray argued that while collective punishment is not the answer, the Gazan population bears some responsibility for Hamas’ continued power, drawing a parallel with historical examples like Nazi Germany.

    “First of all, there is some responsibility for the peoples in the Gaza. If you elect Hamaz and they kill Fatah and then they remain in power for all of the years afterwards, I’m afraid that there is some responsibility of the people in that situation.”

    “When the Germans had Adolf Hitler come to power and voted for him, we in Britain took the view that the German people were responsible in some way. So I’m not for collective punishment per se, but nor am I for this idea that there is something unique going on in the Israeli Gaza context that we in Britain couldn’t understand,” said Murray.

    Morgan highlighted Gaza’s unique demographic situation, with nearly half the population being children.

    “There is one unique thing in our own history. There is similar things, but there is one unique thing, which is that the population of Gaza is pretty unique in that nearly half of the population are children, that is a unique situation,” Morgan said.

    Murray acknowledged this but pointed to the ironic situation where Gaza, continues to experience a population boom. The population of Gaza, he observes, seems to exhibit a constant growth rate, despite frequent allegations of genocide by Israelis. To him, this points towards an unstable status quo in the region.

    “I’ll tell you what’s unique about the population of Gaza. It’s the only population in the world where people routinely claim Israelis are committing genocide, but which has a population boom all of the time. I mean, that strikes me as being quite an interesting thing about the Gaza.”

    Murray made a bold comparison between Hamas and the Nazis, stating that Hamas’s actions and ideology are as barbaric, if not more so, than those of the Nazis.

    “As for the moral currency, I want to make a very, very important point, if I can say so on this, which is people quite often abuse history and they say things all the time. The only thing anyone from history knows is about the Nazis.”

    “Here’s something I can tell you with absolute certainty, Piers. Having not just seen some of the results of what Hamaz did on the ground here in Israel a few weeks ago, but having watched the videos of the unedited footage which I was one of the journalists sadly allowed to see the other day, I can tell you one thing, the comparison between Hamaz and the Nazis is insufficient.”

    Murray shares an unsettling analysis of the situation after viewing unedited footage of the violence. In contrast to Nazis who were tormented by their actions, Hamas, he posits, seems to commit these horrifying crimes with gleeful pride.

    “The thing that struck me, you know bout seeing the 7 October footage, was that even the Nazis were actually ashamed of what they did. SS Battalions who spent their days shooting Jews in the back of the head and pushing them into trenches had to get very, very drunk in the evening to forget what they had done.

    “The Nazi high command famously had to sort of get around the problem of soldier morale, because the soldiers knew this wasn’t exactly what their lives were meant to look like either.

    “I tell you one very big difference. If you look at the footage, the raw footage, and I really hope people don’t, on a wider scale, have to view what I viewed the other day. If they see it, they will see something that is at least as barbaric as what the Nazis did.

    “But here’s the difference, they did it with glee. They were deeply proud. You see people trying to taking the head off a young Israeli man with a shovel and then calling their parents back in Gaza.”

    “I’m not exaggerating with this… And people need to realize, you had this situation with the Nazis where they also were a genocidal anti-Semitic organization, but they tried to cover their crimes up. Hamaz are actually proud of them and they’ve said they will do them until the whole world is clear of Jews. So I suggest we take that seriously. And I think that Israel is taking it seriously.     Murray criticized some British journalists, commentators, and politicians for their lack of understanding of the situation and the challenges Israel faces.

It shows that we and Britain cannot enforce our laws. We don’t even enforce our borders in Britain. It’s us that is the weak link in the international security chain on this, not Israel,” Murray said.

    Another day, another example of anti-semitism on an American college campus.

    Jewish students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) say they are in fear after a “hostile” pro-Hamas and anti-Israel “blockade” prevented them from attending classes.

    The MIT Israel Alliance addressed the concerns in a letter to the MIT community.

    To all students at MIT,

    Today, Jewish and Israeli MIT students were physically prevented from attending class by a hostile group of pro-Hamas and anti-Israel MIT students that call themselves the CAA.

    This is after students from the CAA harassed MIT staff members in their offices for being Jewish and interrupted classes in the past few weeks. All of this has occurred with no clear response from the administration. With each passing day, MIT admin’s silence makes Jewish and Israeli students feel unsafe at MIT.

    Many Jewish students fear leaving their dorm rooms and have stated that they feel MIT is not safe for Jews. This message is compounded by the public and private warnings of Hillel and many faculty that Jewish students should not enter MIT’s main lobby today, November 9th, 2023.

    Instead of dispersing the mob or de-escalating the situation by rerouting all students from Lobby 7, Jewish students specifically were warned not to enter MIT’s front entrance due to a risk to their physical safety. The onus to protect Jewish students should not be on the students themselves.

    MIT administration recently announced guidelines to avoid illegal and unsafe protests on campus. The CAA, which planned the protest, knowingly and proudly violated these requirements, and even invited people from outside of MIT to join them. Their actions inhibit the possibility of safe and peaceful dialogue and endanger Jewish students on campus.

    The CAA hosted a blockade that not only disregards MIT guidelines, but also obstructs Jewish students from attending classes.

    Some Jewish students who saw the administration’s failure to respond to the targeted harassment of Jews on campus by the CAA came together to support each other and peacefully together stand against this threat to their safety.

    Four hours after the blockade started, at 12 pm, the MIT administration passed a letter to all students, threatening their suspension if the crowds did not disperse from Lobby 7. Only the Jewish students left immediately. The CAA protesters did not cooperate. Indeed, the CAA proceeded to invite more students and non-MIT protestors to join them in calling for a violent uprising (“Intifada”) and justifying the terror attacks of Hamas on Israeli civilians.

    At 5 pm, all students on campus were warned through MIT’s emergency notification system to “avoid Lobby 7” –– officially recognizing the danger present to students as a result of this violent protest. No Jewish or Israeli students were present at this point.

    As of 10:30 tonight MIT has officially decided not to academically suspend CAA students who repeatedly violated the administration’s guidelines and threats. They have shown that actions against Jews at MIT do not have consequences. Additionally, in an email to DUSP students, the Department Head indicated that he would protect any DUSP students involved in violating MIT’s rules today by protesting with the CAA. Not only do Jewish students feel unsafe on campus, but now they also feel excluded from and unsafe in DUSP.

    Today, on the 9th of November, on the 85th anniversary of Kristallnacht, which marked the beginning of the Holocaust, Jews at MIT were told to enter campus from back entrances and not to stay in Hillel for fear of their physical safety.

    We are seeing history repeating itself and Jews on MIT’s campus are afraid.

    Footage from a math lecture captured a student disrupting a math lecture to yell ‘Free, Free Palestine‘ and accuse the university, Israel and the U.S. of ‘perpetuating genocide’.

    Pope Francis removed Bishop Joseph Strickland of Tyler, Texas, from his post Saturday after he refused to resign, according to Galveston-Houston archbishop Cardinal Daniel DiNardo.

    Strickland’s ouster on Nov. 11 comes after the Vatican Dicastery for Bishops completed a formal investigation in the diocese earlier this year called an apostolic visitation, which, according to a source, looked into the bishop’s social media use and questions related to diocesan management. The visitation was carried out by Bishop Dennis Sullivan of Camden, New Jersey, and Bishop Emeritus Gerald Kicanas of Tucson, Arizona.

    “As a result of the visitation, the recommendation was made to the Holy Father that the continuation in office of Bishop Strickland was not feasible,” DiNardo said in his Nov. 11 statement.

    “After months of careful consideration by the Dicastery for Bishops and the Holy Father, the decision was reached that the resignation of Bishop Strickland should be requested,” DiNardo continued. “Having been presented with that request on Nov. 9, 2023, Bishop Strickland declined to resign from office. Thereafter, on Nov. 11, 2023, the Holy Father removed Bishop Strickland from the Office of Bishop of Tyler.”

    Jewish students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology say they were prevented from attending classes by a “blockade” of hostile anti-Israel students — and fear the school is “not safe for Jews.”

    An open letter penned by the MIT Israel Alliance alleges that Jewish and Israeli students were “physically” obstructed from classrooms by a “hostile” pro-Palestinian group called the Coalition Against Apartheid (CAA).

    Columbia University suspended two student organizations that have led protests calling for a cease-fire in Israel’s war on Hamas militants in Gaza, which has killed thousands of civilians, the university announced Friday.

    University Vice President Gerald Rosberg cited campus safety in announcing that Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) will be suspended through the end of the fall semester.

    “This decision was made after the two groups repeatedly violated University policies related to holding campus events, culminating in an unauthorized event Thursday afternoon that proceeded despite warnings and included threatening rhetoric and intimidation,” he said.

    On Thursday, hundreds of Columbia students walked out of their classes for a protest hosted by the two organizations urging the U.S. government to back a cease-fire in the conflict.

    Both groups have a presence on dozens of college campuses nationwide and have led controversial protests against the Israeli and U.S. governments.

    The war in Gaza began in early October after Hamas militants killed more than a thousand Israeli civilians in a surprise attack on border communities. Hamas is a designated terrorist organization by the U.

    The Gateway Pundit reported that British BREXIT leader Nigel Farage announced that UK banks shut down his accounts without explanation.

    Now, Farage is reportedly preparing to take legal action against British Bank NatWest and the bank’s former chief executive, Dame Alison Rose.

    NatWest was forced to apologize to Farage after a bank report was released that found he was not “inclusive enough” and was holding “Thatcherite beliefs” and his political positions were the reason he had his accounts closed.

    The Daily Mail reported that NatWest was worried after the UK Treasury got involved and spoke out about unfair banking practices based on one’s political beliefs. Treasury announced that UK banks will be subject to “stricter rules” over closing customers’ accounts, in an effort to protect freedom of speech in the country.

    Now, Farage is set to seek millions in damages from NatWest, according to GB News.

    The GB News presenter has been tipped to begin a formal legal fight with NatWest from as early as next week.

    London-based Grosvenor Law is reported to be acting on Farage’s behalf with legal letters expected to be issued by the People’s Channel presenter within days.

    Sky News reports that Farage, “Has instructed London-based Grosvenor Law to act for him in a claim against both NatWest and Dame Alison Rose, who stepped down as its chief executive in July after admitting having discussed his personal banking arrangements with a BBC journalist.”

    Farage told Sky News, “For all their lies and deceptions towards me, and their illegitimate de-banking of tens of thousands of innocent people, NatWest and its former CEO, Dame Alison Rose, need to be held to account.”

    After news of the impending litigation was shared, Farage wrote on social media, “NatWest must be held to account.”

    Religious schools in Minnesota are arguing in court that their students are facing unconstitutional discrimination from the state because of their faith.

    The fight is over an offering by the state that allows students, while still in high school, to earn some college credits.

    But Christian colleges are banned from participating, according to claims in the fight.

    “Minnesota is waging a senseless campaign against students and the faith-based schools that wish to serve them. Private schools don’t become public schools just because they accept students who receive state funds, and to argue that they do is a transparent attempt to control Minnesotans’ religious beliefs and practices,” said Diana Thomson, counsel at Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, which is representing the schools.

    The schools, along with a number of Christian families, sued the state this year for excluding two Christian colleges from the state’s Post Secondary Enrollment Options program.

    It offers free college credits to high school students in the program.

    But leftists in the state government decided to exclude universities that have their students sign a statement of faith, to comply with the private schools’ own requirements.

    The state had promised last summer not to enforce the ban while the fight plays out in court, but then the Department of Education there filed counterclaims against the schools, suggesting that since the schools’ students receive public funds through grants and loans, “they are state actors,” Becket explained.

    That would make the statement of faith requirements for the private schools unconstitutional.

    The PSEO program is 40 years old and is to allow students to attend any eligible public or private school of their choice.

    “Melinda and Mark Loe and Dawn Erickson are parents in Minnesota who have used PSEO funds for their older children to attend two outstanding Christian schools—University of Northwestern – St. Paul and Crown College—that uphold their religious values.

    It was Gov. Tim Walz, who advocates for leftist ideologies, who signed a law that targets the two schools, excluding them from the program over the statements of faith their students sign.

    Becket explained, “The Department of Education filed counterclaims against Northwestern and Crown in an unrelenting effort to force the schools to abandon their religious admissions criteria. For the first time, the state is claiming that the schools’ acceptance of PSEO students means that they are subject to the same constitutional requirements as the government, and that their Christian campus communities are unconstitutional—an argument that would extend not just to Crown and Northwestern, but to every private school that accepts students who receive government aid. With the help of Becket, the schools asked the court today to dismiss the state’s retaliatory counterclaims.”

    Colin Hoornbeek, president at Northwestern – St. Paul, said, “Northwestern strives to offer a Christ-centered education to every student who joins our campus community to equip them to serve effectively in their professions and give leadership in the home, community, church, and world. Our university wants to ensure that this essential mission is available to both undergraduates and PSEO students alike. We are praying that the court protects our ability to serve all those who want to take advantage of what our campus community has to offer into the future.”

    In fact, the Supreme Court previously has ruled that Christian schools are eligible to participate in tax-funded benefit programs that help students on the same basis as public institutions.

  37. Judge Blocks Effort To Stop 5,000 Converse County Oil Wells

    A federal judge has blocked an effort to stop the drilling of 5,000 new oil wells in Converse County, Wyoming.

    Gov. Mark Gordon and state Sen. Brian Boner, R-Douglas, are celebrating a federal judge’s decision to block a lawsuit that sought to block 5,000 new oil wells in Converse County in the southern Powder River Basin.

    U.S. District Court Judge Tanya S. Chutkan has denied a request for a preliminary injunction to stop the Converse County Oil and Gas Project and dismissed five of six claims brought by a pair of environmental watchdog groups. Chutkan ruled that the plaintiffs did not demonstrate a likelihood of success on the merits of any of their claims.

    “Judge Chutkan’s decision is a major win for Wyoming,” Gordon said in a press release.

    What’s The Issue?

    The lawsuit was filed in September 2022 by the Powder River Basin Resource Council and Western Watersheds Project to stop the federally approved oil drilling and any future drilling on the project, claiming that the U.S. Department of the Interior and BLM failed to follow lawful procedures meant to prevent or mitigate environmental harm such as impacts to air quality and wildlife.

    “We felt it was important to be a part of the process and stand up for the constituents, recreation and wildlife in Converse County,” said Shannon Anderson, staff attorney and organizer for Powder River Basin Resource Council.

    Although the lawsuit was filed against the federal government, the state of Wyoming, Petroleum Association of Wyoming, Anschutz Exploration Corp. and others intervened in the case.

    “I have diligently defended Wyoming’s oil and gas industry from attempts to shut down federally approved projects, and I appreciate the ongoing work of our Attorney General’s office to protect Wyoming’s energy industry from dubious legal claims,” Gordon said.

    The plaintiffs argued that their members’ ability to “live, work and recreate” in the project area by pursuing activities such as “hiking, wildlife viewing, spiritual renewal and solitude” would be “irreparably impair[ed]” if drilling is permitted to move forward.

    They also argued that unless the project was paused, a significant portion of the project would already be built before a final decision is reached, a scenario the plaintiffs now will likely face.

    Giffords Continues to Mislead Women on Guns

    The Giffords group is at it again with their anti-gun rhetoric. Most of the time, it’s not worth commenting on, but this time, they’ve revealed themselves in a way that must be called out. If only their members would recognize how they are being misled.

    The interesting thing about these anti-gun groups is that they have found a way to make human violence the fault of the gun and completely remove the responsibility from destructive people who commit acts of violence by pulling the trigger. It becomes blatantly obvious very quickly, that the anti-gun crowd is purposely avoiding the reality that “human beings” are the cause of violence in our culture. By using the gun as a scapegoat, they can use human violence to boost their anti-gun argument.

    In a tweet on November 10, 2023, Giffords wrote, “Everyone deserves the right to live their life free from violence.” Although this is a nice thought, and it would be great if we could live in a world where there was no violence, the entire premise of the quote is false.
    The truth is no one has the right to be free from violence. Using the word “deserves” appeals to the entitlement-minded. Our founding fathers recognized this, which is why they wrote the 2nd Amendment into the Bill of Rights.

    Human beings do not have the right to be free from violence; they do, however, have the right to “protect” themselves from violence. The confusing and manipulative way these gun-grabbing, left-wing funded organizations convince people of such things is borderline criminal because people who can’t think for themselves are encouraged to believe that they have the “right” to violate the rights of others if their imaginary “rights” are being violated

    More FBI whistleblowers stepped forward recently to tell Congress that Chris Wray’s FBI is now targeting agents based on their political beliefs. The whistleblowers allege that FBI brass is now harassing military veterans for being loyal to the US and fitting the profile of a Trump supporter.

    One of the most basic legal premises is that the government cannot do indirectly that which it is barred from doing directly. However, in Washington, D.C., and across America, Democrats are using indirect means to destroy our constitutional rights.

    If you’re reading this post, I’m betting that you’re aware of the Twitter files, which revealed that the Deep State was working closely with Big Tech to censor content about Russiagate, COVID, the vaccinations, and Biden family corruption. Therefore, I won’t rehash that. However, if you haven’t seen Tucker Carlson’s most recent interview, this one with Douglass Mackey, you don’t know that the administration is also using its police powers to silence political speech.

    Douglass Mackey is the man who posted a joke on Twitter telling people to text their votes for Hillary. It was a joke identical to posts that Democrats were putting up regarding voting for Trump. However, unlike the Democrats, Mackey was hunted down. Seven days into the Biden administration, he was on the receiving end of an FBI raid and staring at 11 years in prison for election interference. The fact that there was no evidence that anyone, even a Democrat, was stupid enough to take his joke seriously was irrelevant. Watch this video and be horrified:

    In Democrat-run America, political jokes will get you arrested. So, while the Democrats haven’t succeeded in amending the Constitution to remove the First Amendment, they have engaged in policies that effectively chill political speech. They have done directly that which they cannot do directly.

    The Democrats have also waged relentless war on the Second Amendment. They cannot seize all arms directly, much as they wish they could. However, they keep trying to constrain people’s rights, with initiatives that include limiting the types of guns people can have (“the ‘assault weapon’ bans”), access to guns (no concealed carry licenses), alterations to guns (pistol braces), and the age at which people can have guns (old enough to vote but too young for a weapon).

    So far, for most of these efforts, bad legislation has expired, or good judges have ruled that the efforts are unconstitutional. However, that doesn’t stop the government from trying. As Olivia Murray wrote just yesterday, the latest effort at the federal level is to limit access to ammunition. You see, they’re not banning guns; they’re just making them ineffective. They are trying to do indirectly that which they cannot do directly.

    At least these attacks on the Second Amendment are out in the open. What’s much more insidious is the Democrat effort to destroy the Sixth Amendment’s right to legal counsel:

    In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to…the assistance of counsel for his defense.

    We understand that this right to counsel extends to any foray we make into the courtroom, whether voluntary or not.

    To date, the Democrats haven’t amended the Constitution to remove that right, nor would they want to. It’s important for Democrats and their voting blocs to have attorneys. However, they desperately want to make it impossible for their political opponents to have attorneys, whether in civil or criminal matters.

    Because they cannot do that directly, leftists do it indirectly by going after the attorneys who work for their political enemies, seeking either to disbar them (e.g., John Eastman) or criminally indict them (e.g., Jenna Ellis) for daring to advance arguments with which Democrats disagree. Disfavored individuals like Derek Chauvin also have an almost impossible time finding legal counsel.

    The threat to a lawyer’s livelihood and liberty has a chilling effect (really, more of a freezing effect) that makes it impossible for conservatives to find legal counsel when the government goes after them. This is especially troubling when you remember that John Adams, America’s second president and a fanatic patriot, nevertheless successfully represented the British soldiers accused of murder in connection with the Boston massacre. He understood that, when facing the might of the government, which is judge, jury, and executioner, everyone, no matter what the accusations against him, needs a knowledgeable friend at his side.

    As for unconstitutionally taking money, under Article I, the government is allowed to take your money only via taxes that originated in the House and were approved by the Senate. However, the massive inflation Biden’s policies have triggered constitutes taxation outside the constitutional process. Per Milton Friedman, “inflation is a form of taxation without representation,” as people are forced into ever higher tax brackets even as their purchasing power diminishes.

    In posting his Douglass Mackey video, Tucker Carlson (or his team) wrote “The First Amendment is done.” Through the connivance of the Democrat party, the Deep State, and the Biden administration, the Second Amendment, the Sixth Amendment, and Article I are done, too. If we don’t push back hard in the next election, our wonderful, unique, and liberty-oriented Constitution will have been rendered meaningless.
