Reader’s Links for November 6th, 2023

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

For those interested, please check out https://vladtepesblog.substack.com/ as an another avenue of expression.

(These observations– especially regarding how accustomed they had become to routine rockets — strike me as being metaphorical, but also practical for the unfortunate people on the US southern border who have become accustomed to increasingly brazen incursions.)

  3. What I don’t get is why are any of these people making U-turns on their Covid-era lies? Nothing will happen to them if they do nothing. There is no accountability for the Johnsons, Trudeaus etc of this world because they’ve made different rules for themselves. Could it be because they are so vain that they want to protect some illusion of integrity?

With respect to the many conservatives who say we’ve moved beyond the right-left paradigm I disagree. The fight between collectivists and those who still believe in individual values remains exactly pertinent.

    • It’s not just that “they” stopped the swine flu shot after approximately 50 people died.

It’s not just that the government has created a doctor shortage and nurse shortage by condemning those who said “my body, my choice” — warned of the dangers of the vaccines.

It’s not just that between the vaccines and migration, a Canadian can go to a critical care unit and the line up is right out the door.

It’s not just when a mother arrives at the critical care unit with her 5 year old and learns it is closed for the day and the child doesn’t want to leave and cries “I don’t want to die”

  4. On pedophilia, climate change and more. One thought I get after watching 53 minutes of this interview with Dave Collum, organic chemist, is that not seeing the things that people on this blog see quite easily is that it has nothing to do with IQ. I’ve wondered about this for some time. I think it is deeper.

Collum has one of my favourite brains. He is triple vaxxed. He thought Obama was ok.

Logic can get you a very long way, but there is a point where its benefit ends and its damage begins. Data limitations, in an age of information warfare, render a logician more vulnerable that the hybrid version of the human animal. What makes Collum different is that he takes himself lightly enough that he is able to overcome himself. He does not seem to defend his purchases. He is a real scientist. In metaphor, two jungle natives are sitting at their camp fire. One scratches the bone in his nose and says, “Hey, I think there’s a tiger behind that bush. I just saw a branch move. The other guy says, “I didn’t see anything move, therefore I’m not worried.” The first guys leaves. The second guy is eaten. Collum may have dismissed his intuition, or else he is lacking in it, but it’s not completely absent.

Like other averages in the human realm, 10-20% are stronger, 60 or so % are average, while 10-20% are weaker. Intuition matters. A very interesting interview:

  5. Art Carney, whoops I mean Mark Carney tells Canadians the carbon tax gets rebated and what does 2+ 2 equal I wonder.

    • Does Justine’s advisor Mark Carney know, or should I say care that Canadian business insolvencies jumped 41.8%. According to the Superintendent of bankruptcy a total of 1,120 business filed for bankruptcy-up 3.6% from last quarter.

The business owners are suffering, STRUGGLING with many economic challenges.
They no longer have support of the government’s Covid-19 benefits
      Record high interest rates
      Big dip in consumer spending
      Less access to capital
High inflation 16% higher because of climate carbon bullsh*t
STRUGGLING to keep up with higher prices of essentials and taking on more debt load to make ends meet.

Carney is a global World Economic Forum Climate Crier, who does not seem to understand this government is destroying people’s lives. Sniff, sniff, silly little people are all across Canada. They do not need the old Goldman Sachs elite making decisions for them.

How much longer can Canadians rob Peter to pay Paul? Justine needs to take a long walk with Carney and Freeland.

  6. “What Happens if We Show That Trump Won?” Attorneys for Harrison Floyd Subpoena Pertinent Election Records While the State and County Resist
    By Brian Lupo Nov. 6, 2023 8:30 am114 Comments

On Friday, attorneys for Harrison Floyd as well as counsel for the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office and Fulton County convened for a hearing over a Motion to Quash subpoenas submitted by the defense. It was also, coincidentally, the three-year anniversary of “the most secure” election “in American History”, according to then-CISA Director Christopher Krebs and harped by mainstream Mockingbird outlets.

Floyd was one of the individuals indicted by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis back in August and, notably, the only individual who was initially denied bond and kept at the Fulton County Prison, where 15 people died in 2022 alone. Floyd, the former leader of Black Voices for Trump, was on a phone discussion with Trevian Kutti, who was also indicted in the RICO case, while they talked with a poll-worker at a Cobb County police station at the poll-worker’s request.

Friday’s hearing dealt with three motions to quash subpoenas issued by Floyd’s attorneys requesting documents and evidence they deem relevant to the case. In the hearing, we first heard arguments from the Georgia Secretary of State’s counsel. He argued that the Secretary of State’s office had complied with “two specific categories going to State Farm arena and the poll worker at issue.” There was another category of which they claimed they didn’t have responsive records.

Counsel then claimed that the remaining requests “essentially asked for everything about the 2020 election.” He argued that the requests were “unspecific, mostly not relevant, and super burdensome on the Office.” He argued that the documents are not relevant to intent because:

“[with] intent, state of mind is addressed as of the moment of the act that gives rise to the alleged wrong. It’s not retroactive. The example being homicide and self-defense, what matters is what’s in the actor’s head at the moment the trigger is pulled, not later when he or she may learn that the person they shot had a knife, had some mental illness that was otherwise a danger.“

The analogy doesn’t make any reference to Floyd’s preconceptions about the validity of the election. A more accurate analogy would be that the actor strongly believed the person they shot “had a knife” (which is perfectly legal in Georgia, a constitutional carry state, but we’ll pretend “having a knife” is a crime for the sake of the attorney’s argument) and only later confirmed they had a knife. The “believed they had a knife” part was missing from the comparison. Floyd believed the election was stolen, tried to investigate, and now has evidence their preconceptions were possibly correct.

Secretary of State counsel then went on to distinguish between themselves as a separate State agency from the District Attorney’s Office, and therefore not subject to Brady rules and exculpatory evidence:

Judge Scott McAfee then asked Floyd’s counsel:

“If, lets say there’s some smoking gun locked away in a vault in the Secretary of State’s Office, and Mr. Floyd had no idea had ever existed during the entire timeframe of this alleged enterprise, how is that relevant?”

    Counsel responded:

“I focused on Count 1 for the concept of relevance because in that count, we have…numerous references to the election being lost by Donald Trump. In fact, in the introduction, the State says that not only did Trump lose Georgia, but he and the other defendants charged refused to accept that Trump lost.

What happens if we show that Trump won?“

And the attorney does have a point. In the criminal indictment filed by Fani Willis, it mentions:

•17 times that President Trump lost the 2020 election including in Georgia and
    Fulton County;
    • 49 times that the defendants engaged “knowingly” and “willfully” in various
activities to overturn the 2020 election when they allegedly knew their statements
    about the election results were false;
    • 113 times that there were attempts to “unlawfully” change the outcome of the
    election, including in Georgia;
    • 145 times that the defendants sought to put the November 3, 2020 election results
at issue with the implication that the results cannot be questioned; and
    • 182 times that the RICO defendants engaged in “false statements” concerning
“fraud” in and about the November 2020 elections

If President Trump did in fact win Georgia, and they can prove it, it would be the easiest avenue to victory for those indicted in this politicized persecution.

Lastly, Fulton County’s counsel argued that producing the records would be a burdensome task that could take “months” to fulfill. Further, he alleged that the ballots would expose personally identifiable information such as names and birthdates, drivers license numbers, and even some social security numbers. Defendant’s counsel rebutted that they did not want any personally identifiable information and they were only interested in “the count.” It’s also mentioned that the personal information is only on certain election records, and not the ballots themselves that were among the requested items.

But another important claim surfaced during the defense’s response. It’s something The Gateway Pundit has reported on numerous times, most recently in my four-part series on Fulton County’s handling of the 2020 election: Fulton County has a “major discrepancy…the reason they don’t want to turn [records] over is because, I submit, that a lot of the stuff we’ve asked for, they simply don’t have. And they don’t want to tell you. At all. Because for obvious reasons, it impacts the certification of the election itself.”

Fulton County has actually already admitted that they did not properly preserve the majority of in-person ballots from the Nov 3 election in a Requests for Admissions in the Curling v. Raffensperger federal case. e

In the Opposition to the Motion to Quash subpoenas submitted by Floyd’s legal team, they reference many of the issues The Gateway Pundit reported on in the above-mentioned series. This includes a total of “more than 41,079 presidential votes [that] should have been excluded from the final Fulton County vote tally because they were not and cannot be reconciled or properly validated as legitimate votes.”

It also cites a brief submitted by expert witness Professor Philip Stark of UC Berkley and the inventor of the risk-limiting audit. Prof. Stark refers to “the loss of hundreds of thousands of image files from the first machine count and of nearly 18,000 images from the second machine count” as “hard to fathom.”

The Motion (below) was 80 pages total, however, the first 13 pages are the actual motion followed by 65 pages of supporting documents.

  7. VIDEO: President Trump BLASTS “Racist” NY AG Letitia James Before His Testimony in NY Lawfare Case – “Horrible People Who Must Hate Our Country”
    By Jim Hoft Nov. 6, 2023 10:00 am45 Comments

President Donald Trump sits in court in NYC prior to his testimony today in the Letitia James Lawfare case, October 6, 2023.
President Trump spoke briefly before he entered court today.

Trump blasted “racist” Letitia James before starting his day in court in his NY lawfare court.

President Trump: While Israel is being attacked, while Ukraine is being attacked, while inflation is eating our country alive, I’m down here. And these are all political opponents attacks by the Biden administration. Their poll numbers are terrible. So what happened today? The New York Times and CBS came out with a poll that I’m leading all over the place. But it’s a very unfair situation. This is really election interference. That’s all it is. This trial is ridiculous.

The numbers are much greater than on the financial statement. We’ve already proven that. They said Mar-a-Lago is worth $18 million. Mar-a-Lago is worth probably anywhere from 50 to 100 times more than that. It’s a terrible, terrible thing. These are political operatives I’m going to be dealing with. You have a racist Attorney General who made some terrible statements. I mean, you see some more that came over the wires today.

It’s a very sad situation for our country. We shouldn’t have this. This is for third World countries and it’s very unfair. It’s very unfair. But in the meantime, the people of the country understand it. They see it, and they don’t like it. They don’t like it because it’s political warfare, as you would call it, or political lawfare. Another name. I got a lot of names for it, but usually it takes place in third World countries and banana republics. Nobody’s ever seen that to this extent we’ve never seen it here.

But we will go along, and we will hopefully do very well in every regard. We’ll win the election and we’ll make America great again. That’s what we’re going to do. We’re going to make America great again.

But we have to take away from the thugs that we deal with, the horrible people that actually must hate our country to do this. But we will fight very hard for our country. Thank you very much, everybody.

Racist Letitia James is famous for ranting against Whitey and “pale” men!
    She is a complete racist.

  8. Don Jr. Shares Viral Video from Germany: “If Necessary, We Must Use Violence to Institute Islamic State Once Muslims are a Majority”
    By Richard Abelson Nov. 6, 2023 9:15 am290 Comments

Islam experts Michael Stürzenberger and Irfan Peci regularly hold events to raise consciousness of the threat of political Islam in Germany, where they expertly engage with and debate angry young Muslims who bristle at any criticism of their religion. On October 21, they held an event in Berlin, during which Irfan Peci spoke to a young Muslim who stated unequivocally that “Every Muslim must want Shariah Law enacted worldwide.”

“I want Sharia Law in Germany, definitely,” the young man sporting a Salafist beard said.

Asked by ex-Muslim activist Kian Kermanshahi whether he would support replacing the German constitution with Shariah Law, the young man said, “Definitely.”

Irfan asked the young man how he would go about doing that.

  9. Israel Intercepts Long-Range Hamas Rocket with Arrow Air Defense System

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Saturday a long-range rocket fired by Hamas terrorists at the southern city of Eilat was intercepted by the Arrow air defense system, a new anti-missile system designed to be more effective against long-range, high-altitude threats than the venerable U.S.-made Patriot system.

The IDF reported Arrow’s first interception of the Hamas war on Thursday. In that instance, a ballistic missile believed to have been launched by the Iran-backed Houthi insurgents of Yemen was intercepted over the Red Sea. On the same day, an Israeli F-35 fighter shot down a cruise missile that was targeting the city, also apparently launched from Yemen.

Saturday’s interception occurred over the Negev desert. The IDF said the inbound weapon was launched from the Gaza Strip….

The Arrow was developed jointly by Israel and the U.S. Missile Defense Agency. It was designed to provide a layer of long range, high-altitude protection on top of the famed Iron Dome and David’s Sling defense systems. The Arrow is capable of intercepting ballistic missiles outside of Earth’s atmosphere.

Aaron David Herschman and Daniel Smith have been friends for decades. In the wake of the October 7 massacre of 1,400 people in Israel at the hands of Hamas terrorists, the two friends decided they would come to see how they could help.

Both men served in the US Army and had stints in Iraq in 2005 and subsequent years. They are both trained as combat lifesavers, meaning they have training as medics.

  11. 1 NOVEMBER 2023 BIJ1 activists project controversial pro-Palestinian slogan next to Dutch PM’s office
    https://nltimes.nl/2023/11/01/bij1-activists-project-controversial-pro-palestinian-slogan-next-dutch-pms-office
Activists from the BIJ1 party projected the slogan “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” onto the Mauritshuis in The Hague, the building that is located next to the Prime Minister’s office. The party reported this on X. The slogan is deemed antisemitic by some because it is interpreted as denying Israel’s right to exist.
The party, which holds one seat in the Tweede Kamer, the lower house of the Dutch parliament, said it aims with this action “to oppose the ever-increasing pressure on our freedom of expression to show solidarity with the Palestinians and their struggle against the colonization of the country.”
The slogan expressed the desire for a Palestinian state stretching from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, areas that encompass both the Palestinian territories and the entire land area of Israel. It is controversial and is perceived by some as a call for the end of the state of Israel, while others see it primarily as a statement of support for the Palestinian cause.
The use of the slogan has been prohibited in the Tweede Kamer, the lower house of the Dutch parliament, due to its perceived antisemitic connotation. Several politicians, including VVD leader Dilan Ye?ilgöz and GroenLinks-PvdA party leader Frans Timmermans, are against its use.
Parties like BIJ1 and DENK, on the contrary, argue the slogan advocates for a single state that includes space for Jewish residents. “In reality, the slogan is a call for equal rights for Palestinians and an end to the occupation by Israel,” BIJ said on Wednesday.
The projection was a “totally disgusting action,” according to Naomi Mestrum, director of the Center for Information and Documentation Israel (CIDI), AD reported. “I don’t understand what they aim to achieve with this and why they seek further polarization. I see no effort here to even try to prevent escalating tensions in our country. It’s unnecessary and particularly deceitful. Essentially calling for the disappearance of Israel is terrible,” she added.
The Central Jewish Consultation (CJO) announced in a statement that it is considering legal action against the activisits. The organization “is deeply concerned that a political party in the Netherlands is trying to poison the debate in this manner,” pointing out that the slogan “is widely recognized as a call for genocide against Israel’s more than 7 million Jewish residents.” The CJO also called on politicians to “speak out in the strongest terms” against BIJ1’s action.
On X, PVV MP Martin Boosm referred to it as “a call for genocide by a Dutch political party elected to the Tweede Kamer.”
    [..]
Amsterdam mayor Femke Halsema previously said the slogan was “unacceptable” and asked the Public Prosecution Service (OM) to investigate whether its use is punishable. This summer, the Amsterdam District Court ruled that its use was not punishable in a case involving a demonstrator who chanted the slogan in 2021.

    • I was taught to remember the Netherlands with gratitude. You welcomed my antecedents when we left Spain and Portugal. Some later went to Italy, others to New Amsterdam, but there are traces of our sojourn in your country in our customs and prayer rites.

  12. Security on alert amid rumored plot to harass people flying from Israel to Schiphol
    https://nltimes.nl/2023/11/04/security-alert-amid-rumored-plot-harass-people-flying-israel-schiphol
Rumors of a plot to harass passengers flying from Israel to Schiphol Airport, which were posted on social media, have authorities in the Netherlands on alert. There have been several reports of a Facebook post sharing the arrival times of flights coming to Schiphol Airport from Tel Aviv. The Amsterdam airport is aware of these reports and “takes them very seriously,” and so does the Koninklijke Marechaussee, the branch of the Dutch military which monitors the country’s airports.
A Facebook account from a user supposedly based in Rotterdam initially called for people to gather at Schiphol Airport, with an apparent goal of harassing passengers arriving in Amsterdam from Tel Aviv. While KLM, Transavia and EasyJet are not flying scheduled routes to Tel Aviv until at least November 7, Israel airline El Al is still shuttling passengers between the two cities.
“Isreal [sic] pleasantly on the way to the Netherlands ….. time to also gather at Amsterdam Schiphol …. We must not allow this,” the initial post stated. While that post was removed. A new, similar post removes language calling for a gathering at Schiphol but still includes the dates and arrival times of flights from Tel Aviv to Amsterdam.
The post consists of several screenshots with flight arrival times of Transavia and KLM. It concerns flights from Tel Aviv to Schiphol landing next week, as well as flights in mid-January. “Looking for a nice safe country, but the Palestinians can drop dead ?!!!!!!!! Where is this world heading to, and everyone just watches,” the post reads.
The post was shared twice, and several people commented by simply tagging the police. CIDI, the Center for Documentation and Information on Israel, was among those who spoke about the posts on X, stating, “Today people on Facebook called for others to go to Schiphol to wait for planes from Israel, just as recently happened in Dagestan.”

Israel-Based Journalist Describes What Life Is Like On The Ground Since War Began

  14. Luai Ahmed @JustLuai
    Dear Muslims,

The world is scared of us. The world is laughing at us. The world is worried about us. And there are legitimate reasons for their worry that we cannot keep denying.

It is time for us to FLUSH the word ”Islamophobia” down the TOILET and start looking in the mirror and ask ourselves:

    How did we get here?

How come the largest and most thriving terrorist organizations in the world are Muslim?

How come terrorists successfully use Islam to mobilize thousands of Muslims?

What is the problem with our leaders, our Imams, and our religion?

Why do we keep repeating these stone-age traditions that have failed us and continue to fail us?

The world has left us behind.

The ”kuffar” that Imams tell us to hate have traveled to the future while we are still stuck in the Middle Ages reading stories about Mohammed and his flying horse.

You are reading this with your phone, tablet, or computer, which was created by the ”kuffar.”

The same ”kuffar” that we hate so much have created medicine that cures diseases. Medicine that our religion’s crystal balls failed to bring about.

The ”kuffar” have moved forward and traveled to space. Meanwhile, we are stuck on Earth in the Middle Ages, going to our poisonous mosques every Friday, reciting the same chapters and the same stories of Mohammed.

Why haven’t all of these books and teachings led to any scientific, technological, or medical advancements?

1,400 years of us, stuck, debating: ”Which is the correct sect?” ”What is the correct interpretation?” ”Who is a real Muslim? And who is a kaffer?” ”How can we convince people to become Muslims?”

Why on Earth would anyone want to become Muslim today?

They are all scared of us.

They are all laughing at us.

They are all worried about us.

Delete Israel and the West from the world, and we would still be as ignorant as we are. We would still be stabbing each other.

Stop blaming them – and look at yourselves instead. The enemy is not out there. The enemy is within.

Brandeis University on Monday became the first private university to ban the campus chapter of National Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), Jewish Insider has learned.

SJP’s open support for Hamas, which the U.S. has designated as a terrorist organization, was the driving factor in the decision, according to a source familiar with Brandeis’ plans. The source noted that the National SJP has called on its chapters to engage in conduct that supports Hamas in its call for the violent elimination of Israel and the Jewish people.

The crackdown comes on the same day that Brandeis President Ronald Leibowitz published an op-ed in the Boston Globe saying that student organizations that participate in antisemitism should “lose all privileges associated with affiliation at their schools.”
