Reader’s Links for November 1st, 2023

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  3. 2:35 Ottawa, such a beautiful city presented here as a promo for prospective film company productions. Fair enough, it used to be.

    Last week as I was stuck in traffic I sat on a King Edward Ave. very close to where much of this video was shot, just a few blocks from Parliament Hill. With nothing to look at while stuck, I watched on as a woman on the sidewalk not more than 50-feet away smoked something in a long glass pipe–right out in the open–and then slumped over. I don’t know if she overdosed. Eventually moving on to my nearby destination I passed a dozen more drug addicts on the street. Drug addiction truly is an epidemic here. The problem has grown exponentially in recent years. Tourists won’t return. Downtown businesses are closing up. What businesses remain are increasingly pot shops and tattoo parlors. It is not safe to walk anywhere among the zombified. Police seem to do nothing about it.

    This is Canada’s capital under communism, under “harm reduction”, under “safe and effective”, under the nanny state, under Dear Leader and the army of bureaucratic, self-serving, parasitic quislings running the show.

    • Anti-Palestinian activists might do the *same* thing, to illustrate what happens to countries that take in a lot of Pals (Jordan, Lebanon, Kuwait come to mind)
