Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  2. HAMAS creeps get 10,000 US$ and one Apartment for each hostage they can bring to Gaza.
    One of the reasons why I have totally fallen out of love with Australia, the country where the present corrupt communist “Government” indulges hordes of “HAMAS fans” to shout “Gas the Jews”, is that our taxes have financed the Massacre of Jews of the 8th October 2023. And as recently as 10 days ago, they (PM Albanese whose Hero is Corbyn, and Foreign Minister Penny Wong, both HAMAS lovers ergo Jew Haters) have sent another 250 Millions or thereabouts to their “Palestiiiinian Causes”…HAMAS et al. The first thing they did, after coming to power was to cancel the planned move of the Australian Embassy to Jerusalem, and the second act was to seriously increase the amount of financial “help” to the “Palestinian causes” ie HAMAS to a point where Ms. Penny Wong became something of a HAMAS pinup. (I wonder if they would appreciate knowing that she is husband to a wife….)

  3. I’ve heard a lot of people complain recently that they can’t criticize Israel without being accused of being an antisemite. In fact, it’s very easy to criticize Israel without being called an antisemite, I do it all the time.

    Here’s a helpful guide:

    ? If you advocate for an “Intifada”, which means a violent uprising against the Jews in their homeland – you’re an antisemite.

    ? If you say Israel is “Occupying Gaza” without knowing that Israel forcefully removed all 9,000 of its residents from Gaza in 2005, and since then the only Jews living in Gaza have been 229 hostages that Hamas kidnapped – you’re an antisemite

    ? If you chant from the “River to the Sea”, meaning the elimination of the sovereign state of Israel and home to its 9 million residents – you’re an antisemite

    ? If you think indiscriminate violence against civilians by a bloodthirsty mob is a form of “resistance” – you’re an antisemite.

    ? If you say there is “ethnic cleansing” without understanding that Israel does everything to minimize civilian casualties including pleading with the local population to evacuate before an attack – you’re an antisemite.

    ? If you say there is “genocide” without saying that if Hamas lay down it’s weapons today there would be peace, but if Israel does the same it will be eliminated – you’re an antisemite.

    ? If you say “Free Palestine” without acknowledging the Palestinians refusal to in fact “free Palestine” themselves by signing all the offers Israel offered it over the years asking for only peace in return – you’re an antisemite.

    ? If you say Israel is a “white supremacist” country despite more than half of Israeli jews being from Arab and north African countries – you’re an antisemite.

    ? If you say Israel is a “settler colonialist” state, despite Jews being indigenous to the land and Israel being a sovereign country for 75 years – you’re an antisemite.

    ? If you say indiscriminate violence against civilians by a bloodthirsty mob is a form of resistance – you’re an antisemite.

    • All the invaders who say these things are living in cushy apartments paid for by taxpayers. They are the parasite on the state. If hardworking Brits decide to leave, and I know many who are in the process and some who have already left, they will not have any money to pay these parasitic murderers. I encourage all working people not to pay taxes but to work the black economy. People here have not really woken up. Even here in my small town, there has been a noticeable shockwave after October 7. There are people here who work with the ‘border force’ and RNLI, the lifeboats that are meant to save people who have problems when they go out in their boats, not invaders! Also the Royal Navy bring them in every day. They are given nice big houses that are worth between 350k and 450k. A neighbour of mine assists the police with this. He has 2 young daughters. I’m wondering if it’s hit him yet. Maybe he’s happy for them to be forcibly converted to Islam.

    Robert Card, the man wanted for the deadly mass shooting that resulted in 18 tragic deaths and left 13 others injured, has been found dead. Maine Dept of Public Safety Commissioner Mike Sauschuck confirmed during the press conference that Card died with “an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.”

    Maine’s Senator Angus King has confirmed to CBS13 that the remains of the alleged murderer, Robert Card, have been located.

    Maine State Police scheduled a press briefing for 10 p.m. earlier and another one for tomorrow morning, 10 a.m.

    The Satanic Temple has lost its lawsuit against Indiana that challenged the state’s abortion ban.
    The organization claims that bans violate their members’ right to “religious freedom” of performing “abortion rituals.”

    The Indiana lawsuit was filed in September 2022, claiming that the state’s near-total ban violates the U.S. Constitution and the state’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

    According to a report from the IndyStar, “Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita called the lawsuit ‘ridiculous’ in a statement Thursday. He said the win ‘sustains a pro-life law that is constitutionally and legally sound.’”

    “We Hoosiers continue to build a solid culture of life whether satanic cultists like it or not,” Rokita added.

    Europe Facing Civil War?

    In Vienna, London, Paris, Berlin, Brussels and dozens of other European cities, demonstrations “in support of Palestine” were organised even before the Israelis responded the jihadist pogrom perpetrated by Iran-backed Hamas on October 7, while the corpses of more than 1,400 Israeli victims — tortured, raped, murdered and mutilated, babies decapitated or burned alive — were still warm. According to a JNS report:

    “[T]he IDF on Monday [Oct 23] published two segments from the interrogation of Hamas terrorists who participated in the massacre..

    “‘The purpose of entering Israeli territory… was to kidnap civilians; they want as many hostages as possible,’ one of the terrorists revealed. He added, ‘They [Hamas] promised us that whoever brings a kidnapped person will receive an apartment and $10,000.'”

    All the same, each and every one of these demonstrations in Europe was the scene of hate-filled slogans against Israel and Jews.

    In Brussels, those slogans were shouted, and the atmosphere of violence and blood-lust was everywhere. Around me, surrounded by about 2,000 hate-filled demonstrators, a group of a dozen young Arabs were shouting “Death to the Jews” and “Death to Israel”, all the while exchanging knowing smiles and a few jokes. One of them ordered me to stop filming. I did.

    Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger explained in an interview recently that Europe had made a serious mistake by creating within itself, through mass immigration, populations that reject all its norms, values and a “constitutional basis”. He deplored the fact that in 2023 in Berlin, almost 80 years after the Holocaust, people, with complete impunity, are shouting “Death to the Jews” in the streets.

    In the hours following the revelation of the butchery committed by Hamas, a wave of racist violence and attacks began in Europe, especially in France. Against Arabs or Muslims? Not at all. Against Jews, of course. In Europe, Jews are still the victims of hatred and violence. Apparently it is a way for our local pro-Hamas Europeans to celebrate the jihad pogrom of October 7.

    Even though the media have been warning us for 30 years about the risk of violence against Muslims, in deeds and figures, our Jewish fellow citizens are infinitely more victims of violence and abuse than are Muslims living in Europe. Already in 2015, Jeffrey Goldberg warned in The Atlantic: “In 2014, Jews in Europe were murdered, raped, beaten, stalked, chased harassed, spat on and chased for being Jewish.”

    I feel a certain fatigue towards those who hold Israelis and Arabs equally responsible. Not just the European Left, which often no longer takes the trouble to hide its anti-Semitism. No, also those on the right who, out of cowardice or ignorance, tell us that Israel had it coming.

    Let us look at a few facts: In 2005, seeing that the peace process had reached an impasse, Israel forcibly expelled 8,500 Jews from their homes in the Gaza Strip and bulldozed all their homes and communities. From that day on, there was not a single Israeli foot on Gaza soil and Gaza was “free.” Now, with not one Jew there, the Arabs of Gazan finally had total control of this beautiful land on the Mediterranean coast and could build the “Singapore of the Middle East”. A group of Americans even donated $14 million to buy 3,000 greenhouses from the expelled Jews and donated them to the Palestinian Authority (PA) to ensure that the Gazans could start with businesses there. Within days, they all had been looted and destroyed.

    In 2006, elections were held in Gaza; the majority of Gazans voted for the totalitarian terrorist organisation, Hamas, whose openly stated goal was — and still is — the total destruction of Israel and the eradication of the Jews (Articles 7, 32).

    In 2007, in response to Hamas’s smuggling in weapons to fulfil its genocidal mission, a blockade of Gaza was introduced by Israel and Egypt, in agreement with the Palestinian Authority, which Hamas had just persuaded to leave Gaza by killing hundreds of its members, some by throwing them from the top floors of high buildings.

    Israel bears no responsibility whatsoever for the pogrom it suffered on October 7, the responsibility for which lies entirely not only with the psychopaths of Hamas but at least as much with the Islamic Republic of Iran, the puppet-master and aspiring hegemon of the region.

    But let us return to Europe. In most Western European countries, support for terrorism and incitement to hatred and violence against non-Muslims have gone from being offences, to being support for and diversity and “multiculturalism”. 99% of those who commit these offences are never prosecuted, let alone convicted. Saying “Death to the Jews” and “Gas the Jews” has again become acceptable in the West.

    No sane person, according to Thucydides, wants the worst form of war, which is civil war. It is for this reason that Europe needs to better understand what it has done to itself. Europe doubtless intended to “do good” but has demographically overwhelmed itself with people who Europeans may have imagined were fleeing tyranny, but who in fact were bringing tyranny with them. Three measures seem worth considering.

    The first is a moratorium on immigration. Europeans will have the greatest difficulty integrating the populations already present in their countries. They may not even be able to. Many do not seem to want to integrate into European culture; they appear to want Europeans to integrate into theirs. It should by now be obvious that adding millions of newcomers every year will not solve the problem.

    This would mean leaving the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). The extremist “open borders” jurisprudence of the Strasbourg Court prevents any development of a rational asylum policy. In 2012, the ECHR enacted the so-called “Hirsi ruling,” named after the court case of Hirsi Jamaa and Others v. Italy, which states that the European states have the legal obligation to rescue migrants wherever they find them in the Mediterranean Sea — even just 200 meters away from the Libyan coast — and ferry them to a European port, so that these people can claim refugee status.

    When the Italian Navy intercepted illegal migrants in the Mediterranean Sea and sent them back to their point of origin in Libya, not only did the ECHR condemn Italy for this “obvious” breach of human rights; the Italians had to pay 15,000 euros ($17,000 at the time) to each of these illegal migrants in the name of “moral damage”. This kind of money is equivalent to more than 10 years of income in the countries of origin of Mr. Hirsi Jamaa and his companions: Somalia and Eritrea.

    In 2016, Somalia’s GDP per capita was an estimated $400 ; Eritrea’s $1,300. Everyone, of course, heard about the Hirsi ruling. In Africa, especially, many understood that if they could reach the Mediterranean, European navies would now be obliged to ferry them directly to Europe. Before the Hirsi ruling, when people tried to reach the shores of Europe, hundreds every year tragically died at sea. After Hirsi, the objective is now simply to be intercepted. Consequently, hundreds of thousands attempt this journey — often with the help of non-governmental organizations such as Médecins Sans Frontières, whose activists wait for boats to appear at sea, just off the Libyan coast.

    Finally, Europeans will have to do the unthinkable: actually apply their laws. If anyone — Muslim or non-Muslim — wants to celebrate the jihadist pogroms against Jews, well, they can go and rejoice in Iran or Qatar. Not in Europe.

    Every “Death to the Jews” or “Death to Israel” uttered in Europe, particularly after babies tortured, burned alive and beheaded, women raped and more than 200 Israelis dragged back to Gaza as hostages on October 7, is an insult not only to Jews, but to us, what we are, our laws, our democracies and the will of the people.

  13. United States Freezes Export of Civilian Firearms and Ammo for 90 Days, Citing National Security

    On Friday, the U.S. Commerce Department announced a temporary halt to the issuance of export licenses for most civilian firearms and ammunition for 90 days, citing vague “national security and foreign policy interests” as the rationale behind the decision, Reuters reported.

    “The review will be conducted with urgency and will enable the Department to more effectively assess and mitigate risk of firearms being diverted to entities or activities that promote regional instability, violate human rights, or fuel criminal activities,” the agency said.

    The ban includes a sweeping range of semiautomatic and non-automatic firearms like shotguns and optical sights.

    This export halt will have a direct economic impact on leading U.S. firearms manufacturers such as Sturm Ruger & Co., Smith & Wesson Brands, and Vista Outdoor. It does affect some of the largest markets for American gun manufacturers, including Brazil, Thailand, and Guatemala, according to Bloomberg.

    However, the temporary suspension of export licenses does not apply to Israel, Ukraine, and about 40 other countries that participate with the U.S. in a multilateral export-control agreement.

    Experts in the field were quick to point out the unusual nature of the Commerce Department’s move. Johanna Reeves, a lawyer specializing in export controls and firearms, told Reuters that she had never seen such sweeping action before.

    “For sure they have individual country policies — but nothing like this,” she said.

    The Commerce Department is halting exports of most US-made firearms for 90 days and reviewing its support of the country’s biggest gun trade show to ensure it “does not undermine US policy interests” — steps that could slow two decades of growth of gun sales abroad.

    While the department gave no indication of what long-term changes it will make, the review could alter or even reverse a set of notably pro-industry policies that have helped domestic manufacturers expand sales abroad.

    Those include shifting in 2020 the oversight of most commercial gun exports from the State Department to the business-friendly Department of Commerce and strong support for the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show, known as SHOT Show, a gun marketing expo that occurs every January in Las Vegas.

    The gun industry’s successful strategies to increase global sales of its products — in combination with friendly US policies — have been the subject of a months-long investigation by Bloomberg. The investigation began in July with an examination of gun sales to Thailand, which last year suffered one of the world’s worst mass killings. A story published Oct. 19 examined the lavish support the Commerce Department gives SHOT Show, including steering more than 3,200 international buyers to the event this year.

    The Commerce Department declined to comment further when asked to explain the reason for the pause and for details of its review of the support it provides SHOT Show.

  14. RFK Jr. Implores Biden for Secret Service Protection After Intruder Arrested at His Home Twice in One Day

    The campaign of presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is calling for Secret Service protection for Kennedy after an intruder was arrested — twice — at his home Wednesday.

    Security personnel from Gavin de Becker & Associates, which was hired by the campaign, found and held the intruder until police arrived, according to a news release from Kennedy’s campaign.

    Kennedy initially entered the campaign as a Democrat challenging President Joe Biden, but has since announced he is running for the White House as an independent.

    Police arrested the man, who had asked to see Kennedy, the release said.

    Thousands gathered in Istanbul on Saturday for what was touted as the “Great Palestine Meeting.” The event was a pro-Palestine rally aimed at condemning Israel’s recent military actions in Gaza, where Hamas headquarters are located.

    Hamas terrorists were responsible for a deadly attack that claimed the lives of 1,400 Jews in southern Israel. One must ask the question: What did people expect Israel to do in response? Not retaliate? When an entity like Hamas, designated as a terrorist organization by the United States, the European Union, and Israel, engages in violent acts aimed at killing civilians, it is not only Israel’s right but also its obligation to defend its citizens.

    The Israeli Ministry of Defense and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have issued an urgent warning to the United Nations and its staff and informed Palestinians living north of Wadi Gaza to evacuate within 24 hours to the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

    In a direct message to the residents of Gaza, the Prime Minister said, “Leave now because we will operate forcefully everywhere.”

    However, Hamas terrorists urged Palestinians to ignore the Israel Defense Forces’ (IDF) urgent evacuation notice for civilians in northern Gaza, labeling it as “fake propaganda.”

    These evil people really wanted the civilians to stay and die. The IDF has stated that Hamas deliberately hides military targets in residential buildings and civilian areas, even using children as human shields.

    Hamas understands that it must present itself as the victor and victim in their war against Israel. They want more Palestinians to die to further their cause and their propaganda.

    At the Istanbul rally, attendees expressed their outrage over Israel’s military actions but conveniently skipped over Hamas’ initial deadly assault. There was no concern shown for the 220 Jewish hostages being held by Hamas.

    Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan attended the protest and spoke to a massive crowd.

    “Today in Istanbul, I congratulate every member of my beloved nation who supports the Palestinian cause and gives hope to the oppressed people of Gaza. We call on all countries to protect the common values of humanity trapped under rubble in Gaza, along with children, women and innocent civilians,” he wrote on X.

    During his speech, Erdogan said, “We can come at any night unexpectedly,” a thinly veiled threat that undermines any semblance of diplomatic resolution to the conflict.

    In response to Erdogan’s words, thousands of Turks began chanting, “Turkish military to Gaza,” a sentiment that if acted upon, could drastically escalate tensions in an already volatile region.

    Turkey is ready to declare Israel a war criminal. This was stated by Erdogan at a pro-Palestinian rally in Turkey.

    “Israel, we will also declare you as a war criminal to the world, we are preparing for it, and we will introduce Israel to the world as a war criminal,” Erdogan said, addressing the rally at the Ataturk Airport adding, “Israel is committing war crimes.”

    “What was Gaza, Palestine in 1947? What is it today? Israel, how did you get here? How did you enter? You are an occupier, you are an organisation,” he added.

    “The West owes you (Israel), but Türkiye does not. That is why we speak without hesitation.”

    “The West’s book of sins has once again overstepped its bounds,” he added.

    “I am asking West, do you want to create another Crusader War atmosphere?” he asked, adding: “The main culprit behind the massacre unfolding in Gaza is the West.”

    “Of course, every country has the right to defend itself, but where is justice? There is no defense but an open, and vicious massacre going on in Gaza.”

    “I said in Davos, you know how to kill. They know well how to kill.”

    Federal prosecutors have quietly withdrawn a subpoena seeking records from former President Donald J. Trump’s 2020 campaign as part of their investigation into whether Mr. Trump’s political and fund-raising operations committed any crimes as he sought to stay in power after he lost the election, according to two people familiar with the matter.

    The decision this week by the office of the special counsel, Jack Smith, to effectively kill the subpoena to the Trump campaign came on the heels of the withdrawal of a similar subpoena to Save America, the political action committee that was formed by Mr. Trump’s aides shortly after he lost the race in 2020.

    The rescission of the subpoenas to Donald J. Trump for President Inc. and Save America was an indication that Mr. Smith’s office was slowing down or even closing its monthslong inquiry into whether Mr. Trump’s political operation broke any laws by citing baseless claims of election fraud to raise money. The withdrawal of the subpoena to Save America was first reported last week by The Washington Post.

    Jack Smith indicted Trump on 37 federal counts in Miami in June.

    Trump was charged with 31 counts of willful retention of national defense information and 6 other process crimes stemming from his conversations with his lawyer.

    In August Jack Smith hit Trump with 3 additional charges in the investigation into classified documents stored at Mar-a-Lago.

    The superseding indictment, filed in the Southern District of Florida, claims Trump was part of a scheme to delete security footage from Mar-a-Lago.

    Last month Trump was hit with 4 counts in Jack Smith’s January 6 case up in DC: Conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights.
