Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

    Resettlement of those persecuted for faith down by huge margin

    The Biden administration’s claims that America’s southern border is closed – even as its policies allow millions of illegal aliens flood in – has become one of his greatest misleading statements.

    But there is one segment of society that is feeling the full brunt of border security: persecuted Christians.

    A report at Decision Magazine documents that the U.S., with Joe Biden now in the White House, has cut the resettlement of Christians fleeing persecution around the globe by 70% – compared to 2016.

    “Open Doors, which annually ranks the 50 countries in which it is most difficult to live as a Christian, and World Relief, a global Christian humanitarian organization, issued a joint report in September that in 2022 the U.S. government resettled barely one-third of the number of Christian refugees who were granted asylum in 2016,” Decision’s report said.

    Police in the German capital say they are probing the attack, which took place in the city’s Mitte district in the early hours of this morning. There are no reports of injuries or damage.

  30. Israel war: Antony Blinken’s doormat diplomacy is embarrassing

    It would not be an international crisis under the Biden administration without Secretary of State Antony Blinken reminding the entire world that everyone can treat the United States like a doormat so long as he is around.

    The Hamas terrorist attack against Israel that led to the slaughter of more than 1,200 civilians has led squeamish liberals to hem and haw about how Israel shouldn’t get too tough on Gaza while fighting the terrorist organization that wants to kill Jews.

    Blinken almost immediately called for a ceasefire, effectively saying that Israel should take the massacre of 1,200 civilians on the chin and not respond at all.

    That has given way now to cries for aid to Gaza in the face of Israel’s justified response. Blinken announced that the U.S. and Israel made an agreement to help get aid to Gaza. The problem with that, though, is that aid to Gaza is confiscated and exploited by Hamas.…

    So what is Blinken going to do if Hamas diverts this new aid away from Gaza residents as it is wont to do? Here is what Blinken said: “If Hamas in any way blocks humanitarian assistance from reaching civilians, including by seizing the aid itself, we’ll be the first to condemn it. And we will work to prevent it from happening again.”

    “We’ll be the first to condemn it.” Surely, Hamas must be quivering in their blood-stained boots at the thought of a strongly worded letter.

    – This matches Blinken’s approach when it comes to terrorists in Afghanistan. Blinken was outraged…
    – The State Department declared that it was “deeply concerned”…
    – Blinken’s doormat diplomacy even includes throwing the U.S. at the mercy of the human rights abusers on the United Nations Human Rights Council…

    Blinken’s reliance on strongly worded letters is weak and embarrassing… broadcasting to the world that the U.S. will do nothing but “be the first to condemn” whatever human rights abuses rear their head next.
