Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. This weekend I expect to see snow geese heading south from Ellesmere Island to the Carolinas. There are some farm fields close to me where they rest en route. It must be nice to be a Snow goose. From a distance they make the sky move. If you can get close to them their numbers make your jaw drop.

    Canada geese have also been on the move for a while. It’s about time these guys change their name to Dystopian geese. Come to think of it I should identify as a goose, then start an organization called Geese Without Borders. Then me and my family and friends can all flock-off from here. No more need for passports. Seriously, though, where can you go? They don’t call themselves the Comintern while avoiding, say, Uruguay because it’s boring.

    In fact I would bet my last wooden nickel they no longer even call themselves the Comintern. I’m sure that in the tightest ring of their secret society they have a sexy new name. They like renaming things to rebrand and freshen up. Sometimes this backfires. Twitter for example is now called “X, formerly known as Twitter.” Talk about a clunky name. Or how about: “Globalists formerly known as communists also known as fascists also known as blah-blah.” –Can’t wait to throw this ugly baby out the friggin’ window.

    The leaves on the trees are flaming up for October. It reminds me of that piece of a poem: “…I am Autumn’s vampire, rising not to night, but to life. Feasting on leaves bleeding the colours of the killed…”

    Autumn is a special time for financial markets. I have never heard a scientific reason as to why. They say it’s because summer has everyone on holiday, or people just aren’t interested in their investment portfolios because it’s, well, summer. This seems like pretty thin reasoning to me.

    The credit bubble is starting to deflate. Commercial real estate is creaking–office buildings in certain areas are selling for massive discounts over what they were purchased for just four years ago. What should we expect? Sure, real estate is a big part of the everything bubble, but the plandemic changed the need for office space altogether. Talk about “died suddenly”. In financial terms real estate is dropping dead. For the genius who bought a San Francisco office building in ’19 for $250 million and can’t give it away now, you give the rest of us little people faith that having money does not equate to having brains. If you didn’t see this coming, well, you at least should have felt it.

    The bond market it gurgling like a sick stomach. The fast Fed rise in interest rates has pushed up the USD. Dollar-denominated debt worldwide is struggling to meet its obligations. Foreigners forced to convert their domestic currencies into USD to service their debts are hurting from the exchange rates. This is also creating greater demand for dollars while the availability of USD outside the U.S. has dropped 5%. There is much pain already without any official declaration of a recession. Official numbers such as inflation, unemployment, the velocity of money, and debt are served to us by msm covered in chocolate. Every debt ponzi is a confidence game, don’tcha know.

    Central banks fighting inflation is a ruse. They need inflation because it is the only alternative to defaulting on insurmountable sovereign debt. Besides, by tampering with the oil market by selling off the strategic oil reserve the Biden administration has ensured inflation. Everything runs on fuel, including food. Wait till you see what happens next with food and fuel.

    Devaluing currencies to pay debt obligations becomes the only alternative, if you’re in a position to pull this off. Proof of this is that the rate of interest must surpass the rate of inflation to be effective, (to know the real inflation rate go here: http://www.shadowstats.com/ ) which it currently does not. We can safely conclude the central planners fully understand this precisely because of where rates are now. Jerome Powell’s trepidation at continuing to hike is obvious. The big question, again, becomes one of intent.

    Conspiracy theorists say the Fed will break the economy on purpose. (Is Powell globalist or patriot?) I don’t know what the truth on this is, but I do know that the economy badly managed long before Powell so it is hard to call it simple incompetence. In fairness we can cite probable corruption before we get to any globalist hidden hands. We can cite bank bailouts around ’09 as mere cronyism, right? We can also blame bad central planning on human arrogance before we blame it on secret societies, right? But, then, I come back to these nagging, blatant, grand, global, artificial, all-encompassing and clearly manufactured intentional events like the plandemic, Uke War, sex-dysphoria politics and anthropogenic climate change, and must admit to myself that breaking the world economy in order to transition to a new paradigm makes much sense. Especially when you have maniacs calling themselves Globalists jetting around making all kinds of proclamations. World reserve currencies have failed before, and to think it won’t happen again is nothing but pure normalcy bias.

    If Powell stands aside while things break down, people will become so afraid and desperate they will beg for a CBDC just to stop the mayhem. Granted, the only real remedy to unpaid debt is default. This is clear. But it is also political suicide. Said another way, if the price of currencies continue to rise we will see the bond market break, currencies break, real estate break, and everything crash into a deflationary depression. Austrian economists believe then will be the moment when rates drop, printing resumes, and precious metals launch to the moon. One thing I know is that there are very few people in the world with balls the size of George Soros when it comes to gambling, least of all bureaucrats and politicians. And then they only gamble with other people’s money.

    Just about every central banker east of the former Iron Curtain is screaming “Buy Precious Metals!” Central banks have bought more gold in the last few years than in history. What else does it take to make people listen? I remember a couple of years ago chatting with a smart woman–an accountant of sorts. She saw everything clearly, but was afraid to jump into the physical metals market. She made noises like it seemed somehow unnatural or too experimental for her. Imagine thinking what has been real money for 5,000 years is the experiment, while a con-man in a nice suit waving a piece of worthless paper is the real deal.

    Ultimately, the clickitty-clack you hear coming down the track is the freight train called arithmetic. It is as natural and inevitable as the seasons and migrating geese. The cycles of economics reflect the cycles of life.

    The Biden DOJ is once again trying to silence Trump and strip him of his First Amendment rights in the middle of a presidential election.

    Special Counsel Jack Smith cited Trump’s comments on retired Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley in a renewed push for a gag order.

    In a Friday night filing, the special counsel’s prosecutors said Trump has waged “a sustained campaign of prejudicial public statements regarding witnesses, the Court, the District, and prosecutors.”

    Judge Tanya Chutkan set an October 16 hearing on Jack Smith’s proposed gag order.

    The 22-page filing reviewed by The Gateway Pundit noted Trump’s “Meet the Press” interview where he dared to speak the truth about Georgia Secretary of State Raffensperger and a Truth Social post criticizing Mike Pence in its argument that Trump should be gagged:

    In an interview aired on NBC’s Meet the Press on September 17,5 the defendant answered questions for more than an hour, and said, among other things:

    That the Georgia Secretary of State, a witness identified in the indictment, recently said things that he had not, including that the defendant “didn’t do anything wrong” during a phone call constituting an overt act in the indictment;

    That another witness identified in the indictment, the former Attorney General, “didn’t do his job” during the charged conspiracy because he was afraid of being impeached;

    On September 22, on Truth Social, the defendant falsely claimed that the retiring Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, a witness cited in the indictment, had committed treason and suggested that he should be executed:

    On September 23, on Truth Social, the defendant re-posted with the caption “What a mess!” the false claim that the Georgia Secretary of State “knew [of tens of thousands of fraudulent votes in Georgia in 2020] and covered it up”; and

    On September 26, on Truth Social, the defendant posted a link to an article singling out a specific prosecutor in the Special Counsel’s Office and claiming that the SCO is a “team of Lunatics that are working so hard on creating Election Interference . . . ”

    Jack Smith’s prosecutors said Trump’s statements reinforce a need for a gag order after they initially filed a motion to gag Trump earlier this month.

    “The need for the proposed order is further evidenced by a review of the defendant’s prejudicial statements in the weeks since the Government initially filed its motion on September 15,” Jack Smith’s prosecutors wrote in the court filing reviewed by this reporter.

    Trump lashed out at “Deranged” Jack Smith and said he is attacking his First Amendment rights.

    “Biden Prosecutor, Deranged Jack Smith, has asked the Court to limit 45th President, and leading Republican Nominee (by more than 50 points, & beating Dems!) DONALD J. TRUMP’S, PUBLIC STATEMENTS. So, I’m campaigning for President against an incompetent person who has WEAPONIZED the DOJ & FBI to go after his Political Opponent, & I am not allowed to COMMENT? They Leak, Lie, & Sue, & they won’t allow me to SPEAK? How else would I explain that Jack Smith is DERANGED, or Crooked Joe is INCOMPETENT?” Trump said in a Truth Social post earlier this month.

    Last week, ten residents of Staten Island, NY were arrested during a skirmish with police while they were protesting the bussing in of illegal immigrants. Residents attempted to block the entrance for buses carrying the illegals into the Midland Beach assisted-living facility. This facility in Midland Beach is believed to be the same facility that evicted a 95-year-old Korean War veteran to make way for the illegal border crossers.

    According to CBS, the Island Shores facility was put up for sale in 2022, and residents were told to move out. However, the CBS article claims that local officials believed the 288-bed facility was going to be turned into an asylum shelter instead.

    On September 28th, Scott LoBaido, a “Patriot-Artist-Activist”, unfurled a 30-foot banner reading “CLOSE THE F***ING BORDER” over the Staten Island Freeway. A video posted by LoBaido says, “My latest masterpiece in Staten Island NY. Sometimes a picture is worth 4 words.”

    Johnny Tabacco also posted a video of the display sprawled across the bridge just before the Richmond Road exit. A succeeding post claims the banner was removed shortly after its display by NYPD.

    The people of Staten Island lean conservative. Despite being a borough of New York City at the very southern tip, Staten Island leans conservative and has a Republican representative representing New York’s 11th District, Congresswomen Nicole Malliotakis. The district swung for President Trump in the 2020 election.

    Earlier in September, fans at a Yankees’ home game displayed a massive sign during the “7th-inning stretch” that read “TRUMP OR DEATH – 1776 – 2024”, an apparent throw-back to Patrick Henry’s “Give me Liberty or give me Death” speech on March 23, 1775.

    New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been under tremendous scrutiny and has cast some shade on the situation himself after telling an audience that this crisis will destroy New York City.

    Adams claims the influx will cost the city $12 billion over the next three years. Remind me: how much was the Border Wall that Speaker Paul Ryan thwarted supposed to cost? President Trump blamed then-Speaker Paul Ryan correctly stating that this would lead to a “humanitarian crisis”:

    “Paul told me in the strongest of terms that, ‘Please sign this and if you sign this we will get you that wall.’ Which is desperately needed by our country. Humanitarian crisis, trafficking, drugs, you know, everything – people, criminals, gangs, so, you know, we need the wall.”

    But Trump said, “And then he went lame duck,” referring to Ryan’s decision to retire instead of running for re-election in 2018.

    Paul Ryan is now a member of the Fox Corporation Board of Directors.

    On Saturday New York Democrat Representative Jamaal Bowman pulled the fire alarm in the Cannon Building to shut down Congress.

    Bowman pulled the alarm to prevent a critical vote to keep the government open.

    Today there are hundreds of Trump supporters who walked inside the open doors of the US Capitol, shook hands with police, and were sentenced to months and years in federal prison.

    Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio was sentenced to 22 years in prison for the Jan. 6 protests he did not even attend. Tarrio was not even in the District of Columbia at the time.

    So where is the FBI? Where is the Biden DOJ? Where is Merrick Garland?

    Rep. Troy Nehls (R-TX), a former sheriff from Texas, posted a photo of himself with handcuffs with the quote, “Jamaal, are you ready?”

    This was more than any Trump supporter did on January 6th!

  9. M Files: UK to send military trainers into Ukraine

    Defense Secretary Grant Shapps will send military instructors as part of a program to train Ukrainian fighters.

    The decision was made during today’s negotiations with Zelensky.

    Shapps also expressed a desire to involve the British navy in protecting commercial ships in the Black Sea and encouraged British defense companies to set up operations in Ukraine.

    Tucker Carlson predicted Thursday that the general election will not be between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, and he’s probably right.

    Biden is “senile,” Carlson said during a speech at an Intercollegiate Studies Institute event in Wilmington, Delaware. He added that he’s not trying to be mean, but that it’s “just true.”

    Carlson pointed out that Biden is presently losing in the polls to Trump, despite Democratic prosecutors indicting Trump four times on 91 felony counts.

    “They’ve done everything they can by legal means — which are in fact extra-legal means if we’re being totally honest, completely Third World stuff — to take the opponent out of the race, and they’re still losing,” he said.

    “This is not going to be a race between Joe Biden and Donald Trump,” Carlson proclaimed.

    He threw in as a sidenote: “By the way, if it’s [California Gov.] Gavin Newsom, we all should be very, very concerned. That guy’s scary and I mean it.”

    “These issues will be forced soon. … The road from here to November of 2024 is going to be filled with developments nobody in this room could foresee. I can promise you that,” Carlson said.

    The commentator elaborated on this point in a speech to The Heritage Foundation in April days before he was fired from Fox News.

    Carlson pointed to the Democratic Party’s radical stances on abortion and transgender surgeries for minors as examples of positions that make no sense in logical terms and must be seen as part of a spiritual fight.

    Radio talk show host and Reagan administration alum Hugh Hewitt predicted in June that Biden would not be the Democratic nominee for president, saying he would bow out by the primary election season.

    Hewitt drew a parallel to 1968, when then-President Lyndon Johnson told the nation he would not seek re-election after barely winning the first Democratic primary contest.

    In New Hampshire, “he managed to beat [Sen.] Eugene McCarthy from Minnesota, but he was not able to beat him convincingly and LBJ dropped out,” Hewitt noted.

    Johnson won the Democratic primary in the Granite State by 6 percentage points, 48-42, a bad showing for the incumbent president.

    Democratic Sen. Robert F. Kennedy of New York jumped in the race four days later.

    In a sense, history is repeating itself this election cycle with Kennedy’s son, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., also running against an incumbent Democratic president — Joe Biden.

    On March 31, 1968, Johnson announced in a televised address from the Oval Office, “I shall not seek, and I will not accept, the nomination of my party for another term as your president.”

    Hewitt believes Biden will make a similar move.

    “I think you’ll see an exit in the course of the primaries,” he said, and another Democrat, besides Vice President Kamala Harris, will jump in — perhaps Newsom.

    One reason for Biden’s potential exit, in addition to his age, could be the mounting troubles his family faces as Republicans continue to unearth details about their shady overseas business deals.

    The ultimate “break the glass option,” according to George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley, is that “Joe Biden could pardon his son and then announce that he will not run for reelection.”

    “Facing an impeachment inquiry, low public support, and a son in the legal dock, Biden could use the case to close out his political career,” he argued.

    As Carlson said, there are many variables that will play out over the next year.

    But the possibility of a Trump-Biden rematch is looking less and less likely.
