This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  10. Revisionist History: New Children’s Book Now Claims Stonehenge Built by Blacks

    Nigerian-born writer Atinuke’s new children’s book, “Brilliant Black British History,” claims that the U.K. has more blacks in its history than whites, and that blacks are actually the builders of the famed Stonehenge.

    The Daily Mail reports that the book, which is geared for children seven and up, suggests to readers that ‘every single British person comes from a migrant’ and that the ‘very first Britons were black.’ It further alleges that Britain has been “mostly a white country for a lot less time than it has been mostly a black country.”

    The book takes readers through an overview of the presence of black people in Britain.

    It says that Britain was ‘a black country more than 7,000 years before white people came and during that time the most famous British monument was built, Stonehenge’.

    But research in published in 2019 suggested the Neolithic farmers who built Stonehenge had paler skin and were descended from populations originating in Anatolia in what is now Turkey.

    The book also advances the claim that some of the Roman soldiers who invaded and ruled Britain were black.

    The book’s appearance, according to the Mail, follows a campaign by “Don’t Divide Us” that claims children are being exposed to “anti-racism” theories.

    Offshore wind developer Ørsted has delayed its New Jersey Ocean Wind 1 project to 2026. Previously, the company had announced construction of the project would begin in October 2023. The delay was attributed to supply chain issues, higher interest rates, and a failure so far to garner enough tax credits from the federal government. For now, they are not walking away from all their U.S. projects but will reconsider long-term plans by the end of this year. Ørsted’s stock price has fallen 30% in 5 days. This is just the latest bad news for offshore win.

    Ocean Wind 1 had one of the highest guaranteed prices among the 18 projects currently in the approval queue. The actual wholesale price guarantees for Ocean Wind 1 start at $98.10/MWh, rising 2% a year to $145.77. Over twenty years revenue will average $126.47/MWh according to the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU). Ørsted is seeking higher guarantees from the BPU and an increase in federal Investment Tax Credits from 30% to 40%. Recognizing the potential financial problems, New Jersey’s largest public utility, Public Service Electric & Gas Company sold its 25% share of the project to Ørsted in January.
    The company said it is “reconfiguring” Ocean Wind II in New Jersey, and its Skipjack Wind project off the coasts of Maryland and Delaware because they do not currently meet its projected financial standards. The Maryland Public Service Commission guaranteed Skipjack Wind $146.42/MWh average over twenty years and also gets to keep revenue from sales to the regional grid. Apparently, the higher guarantee is still not enough to meet the company’s financial goals. Ørsted is working to renegotiate guaranteed prices on two other projects, Sunrise Wind and Revolution Wind, that would need a 30% increase just to meet the current Ocean Wind 1 guaranteed price.

    Meanwhile, projects off New York are asking for an average 48% increase in guaranteed prices that could add $880 billion a year to electric rates, or almost $18 billion over twenty years (see table below).

    In North Carolina, the latest long-term energy plan from Duke Energy drops offshore wind entirely in favor of nuclear, solar, and onshore wind. Furthermore, Duke has committed to only close any existing power plants once replacements are in operation, an idea that other states should follow. Two new offshore wind lease areas in the Gulf of Mexico failed to attract a bid. Vineyard Wind off Nantucket has begun construction but faces three unresolved lawsuits.

    Wind turbine manufacturers are faring no better. Siemens Gamesa has announced almost $5 billion in 2023 losses from warranty repairs for turbines much smaller than those planned in the US. The company also faces price pressure. The stock price has dropped 30% since June.

    This is not the time for Delaware to be considering offshore wind.

    Clearly, the industry is in disarray, facing rising costs, durability, and legal issues. An 800 MW project similar in size and the current guaranteed price to Skipjack 2 may raise Delaware residential electric prices by $400 to $545/year and for businesses by the tens of thousands. A Monmouth University poll shows a major decrease in public support for offshore wind in New Jersey, falling from 84% to 54% with 40% opposed.

    Last October, the EU agreed to ban the sale of all petrol and diesel cars in Europe from 2035 as part of their push to make us all drive battery cars. The 27 EU countries agreed that carmakers must achieve a 100% reduction in C02 emissions by 2035 which would make it impossible to sell a new car that used petrol or diesel.

    The UK, now outside the EU and able to make its own laws, passed laws in 2020 that petrol or diesel cars would be banned from 2030 (10 years ahead of the previous schedule). Then a year later it brought in more laws on all forms of transport as part of a broader package of green initiatives aimed at achieving net zero emissions from all forms of transport ten years later. This was really all about Boris Johnson wanting to look super green at the UN’s COP26 climate change conference in Edinburgh later on in 2021. But Boris was even more net zero demented than most. He pushed plans to create a net zero rail network by 2050. He even launched a consultation

    Former President Donald Trump has vowed that MSNBC and NBC News will be investigated for “country-threatening treason” if he wins re-election.
    In a post to Truth Social on Sunday night, Trump blasted the network’s parent company, Comcast.

    “They are almost all dishonest and corrupt, but Comcast, with its one-side and vicious coverage by NBC NEWS, and in particular MSNBC, often and correctly referred to as MSDNC (Democrat National Committee!), should be investigated for its ‘Country Threatening Treason,’” Trump wrote.

    Trump took aim at the company for their relentless pushing of the Russiagate conspiracy theory, in particular, which he called a “big campaign contribution” to Democrats.

    “Their endless coverage of the now fully debunked SCAM known as Russia, Russia, Russia, and much else, is one big Campaign Contribution to the Radical Left Democrat Party,” Trump continued.

    The former president vowed that when he wins, they “and others of the Lamestream Media” will be “thoroughly scrutinized” for their “dishonest and corrupt” coverage.

    “I say up front, openly, and proudly, that when I WIN the Presidency of the United States, they and others of the LameStream Media will be thoroughly scrutinized for their knowingly dishonest and corrupt coverage of people, things, and events,” Trump asserted. “Why should NBC, or any other of the corrupt & dishonest media companies, be entitled to use the very valuable Airwaves of the USA, FREE?”

    FBI Sued for What Elderly Man Says Happened to His Coin Collection: Report

    A Beverly Hills man has sued the FBI to get his property back after the agency allegedly took hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of gold coins he had stored in a safety deposit box, items he was told they would never return even though he was never charged with any crimes.

    The man’s attorney told Fox News that the FBI had raided a California-based safety storage company on suspicion of laundering money for drug dealers, but while in the pursuit of those charges, the bureau also raided the company’s suite of safety deposit boxes, broke into all of them, and confiscated every customer’s property whether they ended up connected to any drug dealers or not.

    Worse, these folks were told that the “law enforcement” agency had no intentions of ever giving back their valuables and cited “civil asset forfeiture” rules as their excuse to keep $86 million in cash and other valuables.

    This is a rule whereby police agencies, both local and federal, may simply keep all the property and money they seize from suspects. While it has been around for a long time, it really jumped to prominence in the 1980s to bankrupt suspected drug dealers so that they could not use their homes, cars, or cash to fund their legal defense in court, and it has become one of the most abuse rules in policing.

    As Illya Somin explained in June, “Asset forfeiture abuse is a serious problem in both the federal law enforcement system and in many states. It often enables law enforcement agencies to seize citizens’ property without convicting them of a crime or even charging them. Then, procedural barriers make it difficult or impossible for the owners to reclaim their assets, even if they are completely innocent.”

    But, oh, it gets worse. Not only were the safety deposit boxes in Beverly Hills pilfered by the agents, there was little care taken to document what they took from them, either. And in many cases, the FBI took the money and ran, and flat-out denied they took particular items because they didn’t have any documents showing what items they even found in the boxes.

    So, many of these people who lost a small fortune have no idea, and little legal recourse, to get their belongings back. And, again, none of these people were ever charged or even accused of engaging in any crime.

    “All we know is that their property was in a box and safe before the FBI broke into the box,” Joe Gay, an attorney with the nonprofit law firm Institute for Justice who is representing one of the victims of the FBI’s sticky fingers, told Fox News.

    “Once the FBI broke into the box, we honestly don’t know exactly what happened.”

    “We don’t know if they lost it. We don’t know if somebody pocketed it and walked away. We have no way to know,” the attorney added.

    The victim, Don Mellein, a retired, 79-year-old government worker, said he had 110 collectible gold coins in his box before the FBI allegedly broke into the company. He said he had the coins stashed there for his retirement. But it all disappeared and the agency told him they had no intention of returning it even though he was never under investigation or charged with anything.

    Another customer, Jeni Pearsons, said she lost around $20,000 in silver and $2,000 in cash to the bureau in the same 2017 raid. She and Mellein were just two of some 1,400 customers whose property simply disappeared after the FBI raid.

    “There’s literally been no explanation,” Pearsons said of the FBI’s action during and after the raid. “I think you have to assume that it’s the simplest explanation, and I think, unfortunately, the simplest explanation is they took it or lost it.”

    “It was very disingenuous and shady even,” Parsons added, blasting the civil asset forfeiture the FBI used to take her money. “It’s the least transparent process. It’s not something that you would do if your intent was to find out who these items belonged to.”

    Mellein sued the the corrupt FBI to get his gold coins back and the FBI suddenly “found” 47 of them. But they still maintain they have no idea at all what happened to the other 63 coins.

    Then, to add insult to injury, the FBI threatened him to stop pursuing legal action or he’d never see any of the other missing coins.

    “The FBI had no reason to go through my box and they were careless in losing my savings,” Mellein said in a press release after he won his first case in 2021. “For months I was told they didn’t have any of my coins before they eventually found some of them.”

    “I’m disappointed that I have to sue again in order to get property back that should have been given back to me over two years ago,” he said.

    The Institute for Justice noted that these cases are important because as the rules stand today, Americans have no easy recourse to getting their property back after it is seized by law enforcement.

    “We’re basically fighting against the notion that people shouldn’t have a remedy against the government when the government takes their property,” the group said.

    Mellein said that the whole incident just further undermines the trust Americans have in government.

    “When I was growing up, we trusted and respected law enforcement, especially the FBI. I’m not filing this lawsuit just for me, I’m fighting for a better world where people can trust law enforcement to do the right thing. I’m fighting to make law enforcement better,” he lamented.

    Civil asset forfeiture has been one of the most abused rules in law enforcement, both on a federal and local level. But Americans deserve their due process and should not be treated as guilty until the FBI doesn’t want to steal their money anymore.

    Menendez stepped down as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, however, this was not enough for top New Jersey Democrats.

    Top New Jersey Democrats called for Menendez to resign as Senator.

    However, Menendez on Monday remained defiant after top Democrats called for his resignation. He made it clear that he would not be resigning.

  18. City of Chicago Denies Request for Records on How $57M Was Spent on Migrant Shelter Staffing

    Chicago has spent over $100M to care for illegals arriving in the city thanks to Joe Biden’s broken border. But officials won’t provide transparency on how the money is being spent.

    NBC Chicago reports that the city of Chicago’s finance department has denied NBC 5 Investigates’ Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for copies of a year’s worth of invoices. The invoices are related to more than $57 million spent on a staffing company that has a contract with the city to provide staffing in shelters.

    The city claims, “The burden of redacting records ‘outweighs public interest in the information.’”

    The Gateway Pundit reported in May that, while Chicago burns with rampant crime and violence, the City Council approved $51 million in aid for illegals. In July, it was revealed that most of those funds, $47 million, would be used to pay for a national staffing firm that provides personnel at shelters receiving illegals arriving in the city.

    In February, CBS 2 revealed their FOIA request, on how the city has spent the more than $100 million, was also denied by Chicago Office of Budget & Management.

    In the denial letter to NBC’s recent FOIA, the city said the request for 498 payment vouchers (that would require redactions) was “unduly burdensome” and would impose “immense burden on the department’s time.”

    NBC Chicago reports:

    What’s curious about that denial letter is that the city already provided NBC 5 Investigates with two invoices – showing last December that a nurse at the High Ridge YMCA shelter earned than $20,000 in a week.

    During that same week, a shelter manager made $14,000. Both figures did include overtime.

    NBC 5 Investigates also received a spreadsheet showing a total of $57 million covering 498 payment vouchers. What’s not clear from the spreadsheet is how many employees that covers, how many hours were billed and if certain shelters billed the city more than others. Some invoices were for more than $500,000, the spreadsheet shows.

    According to reports, Michelle Obama traveled from Mallorca to Munich to deliver a one-hour speech on “diversity and inclusion” at the “Britz & Pretzels” conference.

    Michelle Obama will be paid 700,000 euros for her appearance. Sounds legit.

    According to BILD information, Michelle Obama receives a fee of around 700,000 euros for the one-hour lecture. This means she has caught up with her husband in terms of salary. Barack Obama is expected to collect a similar amount for speaking engagements.
