Reader’s Links for Aug. 14th, 2023

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

Note: while we are inundated with the CO2 scientism, I don’t recall coming upon any major studies (just basic science explanations of the mechanisms) of the serious environmental impacts on the wind currents caused by with turbines.

Not only do they interfere with cool air coming down from hills and into the valleys, which prevents the valleys from cooling at nigh, something plans and animals need. In addition, this greater temperature separation between higher lying aareas and valleys with wind turbines can lead to more frequent and more violent weather events.

And that does not even address the drought shadows of the wind farms: as they harvest the wind, it cannot bring moisture to the areas that used to be directly downwind of that area, causing great damage to both farms and nature.

This should be studied by scientis, not lysenkoists… But even without the studies existing, these points should be brought up during every discussion of wind farms.

New York Post Bureau Chief Tina Moore was violently assaulted by a stranger on Tuesday.

Moore was punched in the ribs by a parolee with a long rap sheet and her case is going nowhere.

“I was headed to my desk at One Police Plaza downtown on Tuesday when I was punched in the ribs out of the blue by a stranger with a criminal record,” Tina wrote.

She continued, “Even though I did everything I could to help cops catch my attacker — shouting for help, taking pictures as he fled, flagging down an officer, reporting the crime, and helping police identify the suspect — my case is going nowhere, one of so many lost in the system’s inability to act on common sense

    By Jim Hoft Aug. 14, 2023 8:00 am143 Comments

As previously reported at The Gateway Pundit – Democrat operatives were caught in October 2020 in Muskegon, Michigan, a city of 38,000, dropping off 8,000 to 10,000 fraudulent voter registrations in a single drop. Many with the same handwriting and fake addresses. Police investigated (report attached) and found guns with silencers, burner phones, rental cars, and temporary businesses where registrations were stored.

All of these efforts were funded by Democrat campaigns to GBI Strategies. The firm in Muskegon was not only filling in bogus registrations by the thousand but they were also sending packages of registrations to nearby communities.

(Please review our previous reports to understand how MASSIVE nature of this Democrat-funded, nationally organized criminal syndicate.)

On Friday, The Gateway Pundit contacted Lt. Anderson, who wrote this explosive and thorough Michigan State Police report on the Muskegon investigation into GBI Strategies.

A climate activist and would-be human rights lawyer is now more likely to die behind bars than to represent any clients in the future.

The radical change in fortune for Blaze Lily Wallace, 28, comes after a United Kingdom jury found her guilty of murdering her fiance.

A Kingston-upon-Thames court handed her a life sentence on Aug. 8, shortly after the jury’s decision was announced. Although Wallace must spend a minimum of 24 years behind bars, a judge expressed doubt that the murderer would ever see freedom again.

According to the Telegraph, Wallace was just one month away from completing a master’s degree in human rights law at the University of Roehampton at the time of her sentencing.

  7. Poland To Hold a Referendum on Illegal Immigration – Move Comes as Polish-Belarusian Border Has Become the Most Dangerous in the EU
    By Paul Serran Aug. 14, 2023 7:30 am62 Comments

Poland’s ruling party, ‘Law and Justice’, has decided to hold a referendum to ask the voters whether they support receiving illegal migrants by the thousands.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has announced the decision in a new video published on social media. This is planned to take place alongside next election on October 15th.

Besides disagreements over migration, ‘Law and Justice’ has long been in conflict with the EU over a perception that the Warsaw government has been ‘eroding democratic norms’.

    Associated Press reported:

Poland’s ruling party wants to ask voters in a referendum whether they support accepting “thousands of illegal immigrants from the Middle East and Africa” as part of a European Union relocation plan, the prime minister said Sunday, as his conservative party seeks to hold onto power in an October parliamentary election.”

A Level 3 “Go Now” evacuation order was issued Sunday night in Lane County, Oregon, due to the rapid spread of the Lookout Fire in the Willamette National Forest north of McKenzie Bridge.

The blaze has triggered immediate evacuations and an “Emergency Conflagration” declaration by Democrat Governor Tina Kotek.

According to the Oregon State Fire Marshal (OSFM), “extreme temperatures” and gusty winds on Sunday afternoon fueled the lightning-caused wildfire, rapidly advancing it across approximately 195 acres.

  9. MARION, Kan. (AP) — A small central Kansas police department is facing a torrent of criticism for raiding a local newspaper’s office and the home of its owner and publisher, seizing computers and cellphones, and, in the publisher’s view, stressing his 98-year-old mother enough to cause her weekend death.

Several press freedom watchdogs condemned the Marion Police Department’s actions as a blatant violation of the U.S. Constitution’s protection for a free press. The Marion County Record’s editor and publisher, Eric Meyer, worked with his staff Sunday to reconstruct stories, ads and other materials for its next edition Wednesday, even as he took time in the afternoon to provide a local funeral home with information about his mother, Joan, the paper’s co-owner.

    How Charlottesville Broke the Peace
The South already lost the Civil War. Why are Trump’s opponents so interested in restarting it?
    BY
    LEE SMITH
    AUGUST 10, 2023

The Robert E. Lee monument in Lee Park, Charlottesville, Virginia, which was removed in 2021
    WIKIPEDIA

Last month, officials at Washington & Lee University removed the headstone at the burial site of Traveller, a horse whose famous rider, General Robert E. Lee, served as president of the school after leading Confederate forces in the Civil War. After complaints from alumni and others, another headstone was substituted for it—one without Lee’s name or that of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, who dedicated the memorial in 1971.

On social media, some users mocked activists for having gone so far as to target animals deemed “racist,” but the impulse to pick on Lee’s steed signals something dark. Americans are famously sentimental about animals. The easiest way for moviemakers to communicate a character’s cruelty is by showing them mistreating one. Desecrating the grave of a pet verges on pathological evil—and fixating on one associated with the Civil War is like casting a spell to stir spirits that will once again set Americans at each other’s throats.

In Charlottesville, Virginia, six years ago Sunday, protests turned violent following a Friday evening “Unite the Right” gathering—a coming together of far-right groups that marched through the city with Nazi and Confederate flags. Their march ended at the statue of General Robert E. Lee, which was slated for removal. The following Sunday’s melee between people protesting the statue’s removal and counterprotesters left one woman dead, hit by a car driven by a hate-addled racist.

In response to the weekend’s events, President Donald Trump condemned “in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence, on many sides. On many sides.” Two days after his initial statement, which was criticized for being too vague and not adequately condemning white supremacy, Trump issued a follow-up: “As I said on Saturday, we condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry, and violence. It has no place in America,” the statement continued: “Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans.”

At an Aug. 15 press conference, Trump was asked to elaborate on his earlier statement about the violence coming from “many sides.” The press wanted a blanket denunciation of those protesting removal of the Lee statue—the murder victim was among the counterprotesters, the side the press represented to the public. But video showed that leftist gangs had come prepared to engage their right counterparts in a street-violence set piece, so Trump observed there were troublemakers on their side, too.

“You had a group on one side that was bad,” he said. “And you had a group on the other side that was also very violent.” He added, “I’ve condemned neo-Nazis. I’ve condemned many different groups, but not all of those people were neo-Nazis, believe me. Not all of those people were white supremacists by any stretch. There were very fine people on both sides.”

Rather than acknowledge Trump’s condemnation in a spirit of national unity—surely condemning Nazis was one of the few things Americans could still agree on—senior Democrats acted as if it had never happened. The press went along with the charade, giving birth to one of the essential myths of the past decade and establishing a durable political formula. Ignoring evidence in order to draw a line from Trump through his supporters to slaveholders and nazis seemed absurd, except it worked well enough that in 2020, Joe Biden made his opposition to Trump’s response to Charlottesville a centerpiece of his presidential campaign.

The outraged reaction to the president’s statement kicked off what Trump supporters call the “very fine people” hoax. And yet this manipulation of the truth barely mattered to those who long before that August day saw the reverence of Lee as a token of racism. For them there couldn’t be fine people on the other side since anyone arguing to preserve a monument to a Confederate general was, by definition, a racist, and their existence proof that race-hate still courses through American society.

Rather than acknowledge Trump’s condemnation in a spirit of national unity—surely condemning Nazis was one of the few things Americans could still agree on—senior Democrats acted as if it had never happened.

Whether Lee was a traitor, too, as the same cohort claims in order to build their case for excising him from American history, is a question best left for historians of the constitution. What’s clear is that, in the wake of the Civil War, if the government of the United States had designated everyone who fought for the cause of secession as traitors, there would have been no peace. Rather than go to the gallows, Confederate officers would have chosen to wage the guerilla war that Lee warned against. Accordingly, the vanquished were largely allowed to melt away and enjoy the record of their valor and the respect of their kinsmen.

Today, many of the people opposed to removing and destroying the remaining Confederate monuments argue that they should stand as permanent reminders of America’s darkest moment, when brother fought brother. But another way to understand them is not as emblems of conflict but rather as the ornaments of our peace, giving form to the formula by which the United States was reunified after nearly being torn apart. Trump’s comments after Charlottesville, despite being decried as a dangerous incitement, merely restated the terms of peace that served to hold the country together after the Civil War: There were bad people, for sure, but there were also very fine people, on both sides. Rejecting those terms by insisting on the absolute evil of everyone on the Confederate side, to the point that no statues to their war dead can be allowed to stand, is the true threat to our peace.

The “very fine people” episode is a crucial piece of the traitor narrative Obama initiated shortly before he left office. In December 2016, he directed his CIA chief John Brennan to produce an intelligence report that officially endorsed the Democrat-funded conspiracy theory that Vladimir Putin helped Trump win the 2016 race. The purpose was to delegitimize Trump’s presidency and Trump supporters: In voting for someone who had betrayed their country to a foreign power, they, too, were traitorous.

The 2020 Democratic candidate, Obama’s vice president, picked up the thread. Charlottesville, said Joe Biden, was the reason he decided to run. Charlottesville was the first word out of his mouth when he announced his candidacy in April 2019. With the proposition that “there were ‘some very fine people on both sides,’” according to Biden, “the president of the United States assigned a moral equivalence between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it. And in that moment, I knew the threat to this nation was unlike any I had ever seen in my lifetime.”

Charlottesville became the campaign’s main chord and Biden struck it when he wanted to show that Trump was disloyal to America. He told a reporter that because Trump failed to “condemn white supremacy, the neo-Nazis, [he] has no basic American values—he doesn’t understand the American code.”

As president, Biden continues to provoke racial division along party lines. He warns African American audiences of “white nationalist” terror, a threat exaggerated by his domestic spy chiefs to justify rounding up Trump supporters and spying on Catholics and school parents opposed to the regime’s efforts to divide families and communities by weaponizing race and gender.

Charlottesville was in the background of the George Floyd riots in the spring and summer of 2020. With the political support of Democratic Party bosses and the financial backing of corporate elites, the purpose of the riots was to show that Trump’s America was divided by race and to dare him to take strong measures to stem the violence and thereby give proof that he’s both a racist and an authoritarian.

98 Confederate monuments were removed in 2020–more than the amount removed in all other years combined. Some were destroyed by vandals, but the majority were removed peacefully, either with the consent of local representatives or by executive decree. It was part of a larger revision of U.S. history to ground the Obama faction’s version of reality in the past, and thus the Civil War was used as a platform to rationalize an assault on political opponents. Framing Trump as a “white nationalist” sympathizer implicates the half of America who voted for him as racists. It places them in league with the Confederacy in a war that is no longer understood as having been fought between brothers but is reconceived as a battle between good and absolute evil.

With Trump indicted for, one, charges related to the January 6 “insurrection” and, two, a classified documents case under the Espionage Act, he and his supporters are wrapped up in the “traitor” narrative.

What we may learn from Civil War monuments is that it’s best, sometimes, to leave it where it lays, let the dead bury their dead and then let’s move on together. The lesson Charlottesville and the traitor narrative teach is different: Losing a war, or an election, leaves you vulnerable to a campaign of desecration rationalized by a pathological political faction waving the banner of social justice. May the ghosts of annihilation pass us by.

  11. Kansas Newspaper Says Its Co-Owner Has Died After Being Traumatized by Police Raid

Kansas newspaper whose offices were raided by an entire police department on Friday says its 98-year-old co-owner has now died after she was left “stressed beyond her limits.”

Joan Meyer “collapsed Saturday afternoon and died at her home,” the Marion County Record reported, noting that she had been “in good health for her age.” The newspaper’s publisher and co-owner, Eric Meyer, told The Daily Beast that the tragic death came after a raid that lasted several hours—and included a visit from the Marion Police Department chief.

She made a point last night to say the officers were polite. But it was just annoying to have them there,” he said, adding that his mother was overwhelmed by the ordeal and could not eat after the raid.

The raid at the 98-year-old’s home was one of several the Marion Police Department, which includes five officers and two sheriff’s deputies, conducted on Friday in an ongoing investigation. Police also hit Marion County Record’s office, Meyer’s home, and the home of one of its reporters—resulting in the seizure of vital reporting materials.

“All the raids appeared to be simultaneous,” Meyer said, adding that police “wouldn’t complete them until the police chief himself was there. The chief went to the newspaper offices first and officers were just standing at my mother’s house for two, three hours before the chief showed up.”

“They showed up like the Gestapo.”

  12. NY Times Auto Sear Switch Story Reveals the Increasing Futility of Gun Control Laws in a 3D Printed World
By Dan Zimmerman -August 13, 202362

    Courtesy KSTP TV
Switches come in various forms, but most are small Lego-like plastic blocks, about 1 inch square, that can be easily manufactured on a 3D printer and go for around $200.

Law enforcement officials say the devices are turning up with greater frequency at crime scenes, often wielded by teens who have come to see them as a status symbol that provides a competitive advantage. The proliferation of switches also has coincided with broader accessibility of so-called ghost guns, untraceable firearms that can be made with components purchased online or made with 3D printers.

“The gang wars and street fighting that used to be with knives, and then pistols, is now to a great extent being waged with automatic weapons,” said Andrew M. Luger, the US attorney for Minnesota.

Switches have become a major priority for federal law enforcement officials. But investigators say they face formidable obstacles, including the sheer number in circulation and the ease with which they can be produced and installed at home, using readily available instruction videos on the internet. Many are sold and owned by people younger than 18, who generally face more lenient treatment in the courts.

The Justice Department has stepped up prosecutions of sellers and suppliers over the past few years. Under the Gun Control Act of 1968, it is a crime to manufacture a machine gun, a violation that carries a maximum of 10 years in prison. Prosecutors in Chicago this month charged a 20-year-old man with selling 25 switches and a 3D printer to an undercover agent. In November, federal prosecutors in Texas charged a supplier who, they assert, had sold thousands of switches — shipping some inside children’s toys.

Switches are fast becoming embedded in youth culture, and have been the subject of rap songs and memes on social media. One of four teenagers accused in the killing of an off-duty Chicago police officer this year posted on the internet a song called “Switches,” rapping “shoot the switches, they so fast” as he showed an arsenal of weapons.

  13. Capitol Police Chief Begged for National Guard: ‘Shots Fired on the US Capitol, Urgent Enough for You Now?’
    By Richard Abelson Aug. 14, 2023 9:45 am61 Comments

As Gateway reported, Tucker Carlson sat down again to interview the former Chief of the Capitol Police Steven Sund again, after his Fox News interview with Sund was canned after Tucker’s firing. Sund, who was never called to testify at the J6 committee, raises serious allegations against Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnel and the Pentagon leadership of Gen. Mark Milley.

According to Steve Sund, the intel agencies had had several warnings of potential violence ahead of Jan. 6, but they were not communicated to him. “On Sunday and Monday, they had been discussing locking down the city… because of the concern for violence. You know who issues the permits on Capitol Hill for demonstrations? I do,” Sund told Tucker

You know who wasn’t told? Me. Instead, on January 4th, what does (Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher) Miller do? He puts out a memo restricting the National Guard from carrying the various weapons, any weapons, any civil disobedience equipment that would be utilized for the very demonstrations or violence that he sees coming. It just doesn’t make any sense.”

“I’ve done many National Special Security events and this was handled very differently… It’s almost like they wanted the intelligence to be watered down for some reason”, Sund said. “It wasn’t right, the way the intelligence was handled and the way we were set up on the Hill.”

With this result, Milei will run in the elections on October 22nd, 2023.

According to official data, with more than 97% of the votes counted, Milei won 30% of the votes. The center-right coalition “Juntos por el Cambio” came in second with 28%.

The leftist parties of the coalition of President Alberto Fernández and Vice President Cristina Kirchner received 27%.

  17. Conservatives Alarmed After Report That Current Maui Police Chief Was Incident Commander During 2017 Las Vegas Massacre
    By Cullen Linebarger Aug. 14, 2023 11:10 am337 Comments

This new revelation will certainly not give America confidence that the true cause behind the Maui fires will ever be known. Instead, we can count on a likely cover-up instead.

As Cristina Laila previously reported, devastating wildfires in Maui have left almost 100 people dead with approximately 1,000 people still unaccounted for.

People were reportedly jumping into the ocean and historic Lahania town was destroyed.

The news only gets worse, though. Reports reveal that current Maui Police Chief John Pelletier was the incident commander during the Las Vegas massacre in 2017, the worst mass shooting in American history. An incident commander is the top decision maker during a major incident. Their job is to delegate tasks and listen to input from subject matter experts to ultimately bring the incident to resolution.

  18. Migrant Mob Attacks AfD Politician, Kicking him on the Ground, Breaking his Ankle as German Government “Protects Democracy” By Inciting Hate
    By Richard Abelson Aug. 14, 2023 11:25 am244 Comments

Andreas Jurca, running for the Bavarian state parliament for the patriotic Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, was brutally attacked on the weekend after Antifa doxxed a list of addresses of AfD politicians. Instead of arresting the criminals, the police also spread the “assassination list.”

The 35-year-old town council member in the south German city of Augsburg Andreas Jurca was attacked by a mob of migrants Saturday evening on his way home from a barbecue and brutally beaten, he told Deutschlandkurier. A man had approached him and extended his hand, saying, “Hey, aren’t you that Andreas Jurca from the posters?” When he responded, another man from the mob hit him in the face, flooring him.

On the ground, the mob kicked and pummeled him, calling him an “F*** ing Nazi”.

  20. Don Surber

It’s our party and we’ll Trump if we want to
You would Trump too, if they indicted you
    AUG 14, 2023

The story of the weekend was not the discovery of solid evidence that Obama is as queer as a 17 dollar bill (Bidenflation, you know). His letter to his beard, er, girlfriend 40 years ago is hilariously awkward. (“In regard to homosexuality, I must say that I believe this is an attempt to remove oneself from the present, a refusal perhaps to perpetuate the endless farce of earthly life. You see, I make love to men daily, but in the imagination.”)

Obama should be in a bind because how can he deny being light in the loafers without making homosexuality sound like a bad thing? I know, I know. The LGBT crowd will always forgive him because LGBT is not about anyone’s rights. It is all about power.

But who writes in a love letter to a girl that he would rather have a boyfriend? He should have been more subtle.

    Roses are red
    Which I like having, dear
    I want a marriage
    That’s strictly lavender

As amusing as exposing his secret life is, Obama does not matter. Sure, he escaped justice. He will never be tried for his war crime of bombing Libya or using the FBI to spy on people he considered personal enemies.

But he is the past. Nothing can be done to hold him accountable. We are Americans and we look to the future. That future is in dire jeopardy because the same deep state that refuses to go after Obama or Hillary is trying to railroad Donald Trump. If we do not re-elect him, we have no future because if the deep state can destroy him, none of us are safe.

Thus I have explained the real story of the weekend. Trump is winning.

Media-ite reported, “Donald Trump literally overshadowed Ron DeSantis — with planes — at the Iowa State Fair on Saturday, flying over the event and prompting the throngs of GOP voters to chant ‘we want Trump!’ while the Florida governor was flipping burgers and trying to woo support.”

The same generation that said “I want my Maypo” and later said “I want my MTV” is demanding its Trump. We have no choice. The Flight 93 election of 2016 has become our Gettysburg as Democrats once again run up the hill in another Pickett’s Charge. Will we be the 69th Pennsylvania regiment that stood up to the Confederates or the 71st Pennsylvania, which retreated?

People in the American wing of the Republican Party have no choice in 2024 but to nominate Trump in the hope that we still can rescue this nation, which was conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Today we fight a fascist government that is in cahoots with multi-national corporations to destroy our rights.

We have a government of the government, by the government and for the government.

And that government is run by insane people who want you to believe that boys can become girls magically just by changing their nouns. The people running our government want you to believe that carbon dioxide controls weather. The people running our government want you to believe that eating bugs is better than eating meat.

The bogus investigations and the political indictments speak to a reign of terror that Republicans in DC refuse to demand end. The swamp gas of Washington — which was built on a drained swamp — has clouded the minds of McCarthy, McConnell and their minions who elected them into leadership. They foolishly believe they are safe from the deep state. Republicans such as Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia have convinced themselves that Democrats will never turn on them.

The Uyghurs in Red China believed the same thing about the communist party that they helped put in power. A million Uyghurs now work as slaves.

Republican power brokers refused to help Trump in 2016, turned the House over to Democrats in 2018, aided and abetted Biden’s steal in 2020, and crippled Trump candidates in 2022.

These political cowards deserve no say in 2024. We will re-elect Trump without them because we have no choice. The only way to stop the fascists is to rally behind the one leader with the courage to take them all on.

The money men prop up the losers. As I said earlier, running for president is a lucrative business. You get to raise money and spend it pretty much as you want.

I said, “My advice to the loser candidates is keep on running, baby, As long as the money is there for the taking, take it.

“A presidential campaign boosts one’s ego and one’s wallet. The media loves to overstate the popularity of a Christie or a Haley because the media wants to pretend the nominations are still up for grabs. Christie, Haley and Pence also get air time because they trash Trump.”

The DC media worships no-chancer Christie. The Hill canonized him, saying, “Few candidates have been as aggressive in their attacks against former President Trump or shown the ability to get under the former president’s skin quite like Chris Christie.

“While the former New Jersey governor is occasionally quizzed at town halls and in TV interviews about his policy positions, his frequent and at times personal criticisms of Trump have garnered him headlines and raised the question of whether he can make waves in the primary field either with his candidacy or by derailing Trump’s.”

Christie has 2.6% support. That’s down from 3.8% eight years ago. As his support shrinks, his waist expands. If he were seriously seeking the presidency, he would have lost 150 pounds by now. Whales have asked me to stop calling him a whale because they are not fat; they are big boned.

Rather than give Christie a chance to jab him on stage, Trump is skipping the Fox debate. This means thousands will watch instead of millions.

DeSantis is livid. The once-rising MAGA star said, “I mean, you can’t, on the one hand, say that the country’s going in such a bad direction, which we all believe, and then, on the other hand, say you’re just going to take your ball and go home.

“Really? So, you know, I’m happy to do that. I’ve voted Republican my whole life. And, you know, even though, you know, I’m confident we’ll be the nominee, at the end of the day, you know, you respect the judgment of how this works out, and you don’t take your ball and go home.”

“It’s not just about you. It’s about a larger mission that we have to accomplish for Americans.”

Tell that BS to Mitt Romney, who has been a diehard Democrat ever since Republicans nominated him for president in 2012. Ditto his running mate, Paul Ryan.

Tell that BS to Jeff Flake, Liz Cheney and all the rest of the Republican aristocracy. Lecture them on loyalty before DEMANDING that Trump support Christie the Clown. DeSantis shows his inner DC spirit animal when he attacks Trump.

The deep state senses that it cannot cheat Trump out of the presidency this time, thus the inane indictments handed down in the effort to keep him behind bars and out of the Oval Office. Voters aren’t fools. They see it. They know it. They rally behind the man.

NYT complained, “How Trump Benefits From an Indictment Effect.

“In polling, fund-raising and conservative media, the former president has turned criminal charges into political assets.”

The story said, “Early on March 18, former President Donald J. Trump hit send on a social media post saying he would be ‘arrested on Tuesday of next week.’

“‘Protest,’ he wrote on his Truth Social website. ‘Take our nation back!’

“Mr. Trump’s prediction was based on media reports, according to his lawyers, and his timing was off by two weeks.

“Yet the statement set in motion events that profoundly altered the course of the Republican nominating contest. Donors sent checks. Fox News changed its tune. The party apparatus rushed to defend Mr. Trump. And the polls went up — and up.

“These series of falling dominoes — call it the indictment effect — can be measured in ways that reveal much about the state of the Republican Party. To examine the phenomenon, The New York Times reviewed national and early state polls, interviewed Republican primary voters, examined federal campaign finance records, analyzed hundreds of party emails, scrutinized the shifts in conservative media coverage and talked to operatives inside the campaigns of Mr. Trump’s rivals.

“The analysis highlights Mr. Trump’s dominance over the party, revealing the years of conditioning of millions of Republican voters who view Mr. Trump’s legal troubles as a proxy attack on them. And it displays an upside-down reality where criminal charges act as political assets — at least for the purpose of winning the Republican nomination.”

A reader asked, “I wonder how long it will be before we see Oliver Anthony at a Trump rally?”

Exactly. Trump may be a billionaire who doesn’t know what a Blizzard from Dairy Queen is, but he is one of us, fighting the Rich Men North of Richmond. Standing up for yourself against the government is a crime in Obama’s America.

Do you know who else was persecuted and sent to jail? Martin Luther King Jr. His Letter from a Birmingham Jail turned the tide against government racism and segregation. Our struggle today is for the same civil liberties he sought for black people.

The charges against King 60 years ago were just as bogus as these are. The charges for both came from the same Democrat Party.

I mention that to remind people that it ain’t over until we say it is over. We are fighting for our lives.

And we are mocking Obama for finally being outed. He is queer as a 19 dollar bill. (Bidenflation went up $2 while you were reading this.)

Even though the release of conservative host Mark Levin’s newest book, The Democrat Party Hates America, is over a month away, Facebook and Instagram have already signaled censorship plans.

Levin took to X to share that his book has been blocked from advertising on the two social media sites, “because of the title.”

“Facebook and Instagram have blocked my book from being advertised on their sites because of the title. Just another example of their censorship. 23. Trump Lawyers Blast Corrupt Fulton County DA For Prematurely Posting RICO Charges on Website – County Clerk Claims Docs “Fictitious”
    By Cristina Laila Aug. 14, 2023 6:00 pm120 Comments

President Trump’s lawyers Drew Findling and Jennifer Little blasted Fulton County for posting the proposed charges against Trump before the grand jury even deliberated.

The corrupt Fulton County court website briefly posted several charges against Trump – including RICO charges – before the grand jury has even closed!

A Fulton County clerk said the Trump indictment documents posted online were “fictitious.”

However, the document had an assigned case number and judge!

How did the charging documents get on the Fulton County Clerk’s website?

President Trump’s lawyers said of the documents posted online, “This was not a simple administrative mistake.”

“The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office has once again shown that they have no respect for the integrity of the grand jury process. This was not a simple administrative mistake. A proposed indictment should only be in the hands of the District Attorney’s Office, yet it somehow made its way to the clerk’s office and was assigned a case number and a judge before the grand jury even deliberated,” the lawyers wrote.

“This is emblematic of the pervasive and glaring constitutional violations which have plagued this case from its very inception,” they said.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis must be removed from the Trump investigation!

  24. Report: Engineers Discover Nationwide Cellular Network Connects Election Equipment and Gives Federal Government Access to Election Systems at Precinct Level
    By Jim Hoft Aug. 14, 2023 4:30 pm573 Comments

    Report via Joe Hoft

Guest post by David and Erin Clements

A growing majority of Americans know the 2020 election was fraudulent. Many analysts who have been studying election integrity have concluded that there had to be a two-way connection between local election electronics (electronic poll pads, tabulators, election management systems, voter databases, etc.) and a centralized data collection system responsible for monitoring and manipulating the election. Fingers have rightly been pointed at all-inclusive election management software, the Albert Sensor system, Scytl and Edison, and the Election Infrastructure Information Sharing and Analysis Center (EI-ISAC).

This incestuous collaboration between the Department of Homeland Security, the Election Assistance Commission, leftist/globalist funding, foreign companies, and their private partners, allowed for the real-time monitoring of all election data, and more importantly, the ability to change the results.

While experts could understand the functional capabilities of how these programs manipulate elections at the county and state levels, one area of mystery remained. Experts could not fully explain how systems within individual precincts which are supposedly “air-gapped” were adding votes in real-time – such as KnowInk poll pads in Texas that added hundreds of votes to the 2022 midterm election after the polls had closed. To accomplish election fraud at individual polling places, it is necessary to have an air-interface with the supposedly “air-gapped” equipment networked at the polling place.

A year-long research project led by an election integrity investigator from Utah, Sophie Anderson, and communications engineer, Dr. Charles Bernardin, has uncovered the mechanism that is being used to connect our election equipment at polling places across the nation. Anderson and Bernardin met while working together in several overlapping election integrity efforts. After submitting a countless number of public documents requests from multiple federal, state, and local governments, and working with other grassroots researchers, the team realized that the federal government has indeed created a nationwide network that is capable of collecting and changing real-time voting data at polling places across the country from a central location. The private network tool is called FirstNet, and like so many things that have proven detrimental to American liberty – it was sold as a tool to ensure public safety.

    WHAT IS FIRSTNET?

The idea of a national cellular network dedicated to public safety was hatched in the wake of 9/11 when congested cell networks proved to be a bottleneck for first responders. In 2012, Congress created the First Responder Network Authority under the Department of Commerce to oversee the build-out of “FirstNet.” The original intent provided by its sponsors was that FirstNet would serve police, fire, and EMT services. However, the scope was soon expanded to include all “critical infrastructure” – which included water, energy, and transportation infrastructure. (https://www.digi.com/solutions/by-technology/firstnet )

Curiously, just days before Barack Obama left office, his administration’s Department of Homeland Security used the specter of “Russian interference” in the 2016 election as an excuse to declare election systems to be a part of that critical infrastructure. As a result, the stage was set to roll election systems into FirstNet.

The original plan to build FirstNet was to create a separate network with nationwide coverage that used a dedicated cellular band portion known as Band 14. Years and billions of dollars later, AT&T had built out the FirstNet Band 14 network with the coverage shown in the map below.

    AT&T’s FirstNet Band 14 Coverage

The obvious problem was that separate Band 14 coverage was proving to be too slow and expensive to build, as only pockets of the country had the service available – with some states left completely without service. If Barack Obama’s vision of using FirstNet to connect to all election equipment was going to be realized before the 2020 election, the developers would need to speed things up.

In 2017, AT&T offered the First Responder Network Authority “preemption services” on its entire cellular network. “Preemption” would give FirstNet customers priority on AT&T’s network, ensuring they would always have service on the AT&T network. Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint soon followed suit in offering preemption services, instantly expanding FirstNet service wherever cellular service was available. These other providers gave their preemption services names like “Frontline” and “Connecting Heroes,” but for the purposes of simplicity for this article we will refer to the preemption service on all the providers as “FirstNet.”

Almost instantly, FirstNet’s coverage increased from pockets of the country to cover most of the population and its voting locations as shown in the map below. This coverage assures electronic poll pads, election management systems, and tabulators with internet connection capabilities could be connected as “critical infrastructure” to the FirstNet network and given priority service, regardless of the presence or quality of local wired internet service.

Areas where FirstNet has ability to preempt existing cellular networks (source (https://www.nperf.com/en/map/5g))

THE PUSH TO CONNECT ELECTION SYSTEMS TO FIRSTNET

Just because the FirstNet cellular network was now available to be used for election systems, didn’t mean all local jurisdictions would connect. Some of them would need to be pushed. Coincidentally, public discussion of using the Election Assistance Commission’s (EAC) influence to push election jurisdictions nationwide to connect to FirstNet took place at a two-day Election Assistance Commission (EAC) Board of Advisers meeting in April 2019. The full transcript of the meeting is here.

The Board of Advisors supposedly exists to assist the EAC in setting standards and guidelines to help states comply with the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) through their certification program. Oddly enough, almost two years prior to this meeting, the accreditations for both election equipment testing labs, Pro V&V and SLI Compliance, had lapsed. This lapse in accreditation effectively shut down the ability of all states to legally certify their election systems as required by HAVA. No vendors, anyone in the EAC, or anyone on their Board of Advisors appeared to have noticed this indefensible oversight. As a result, most of the country’s election systems were not legally “certified” for the 2020 election.

While a lapse of this magnitude defies reason, the Board of Advisors had an inexplicable and prescient impulse to meet before the manufactured Covid crisis of 2020. To do what exactly? In April 2019, the Board met to discuss “disaster management and recovery when elections are disrupted by natural or manmade disasters.” And they weren’t talking about dealing with a small, local disaster during an election, but a national disaster that had the ability to affect the presidential election itself.

Board member David Beirne said, “But you also look at it in terms of the Presidential elections is you have one shot at it. And I think that’s the real discussion that needs to occur in terms of your continuity of operations, your response plan, and the scalability impact that if you have a shelter in place or on a Presidential election, what does that really look like…for the State’ electoral votes?”

The Board’s expectation of the need to deal with unprecedented national shelter in place orders during a presidential election amounts to an unbelievable prophetic foresight of what would occur leading up to, and during the 2020 election. A similarly dark prophetic exercise called Event 201 was held by the Johns Hopkins Center for Health and Security in partnership with the World Economic Forum and the Gates Foundation where bureaucrats practiced controlling narratives during a “hypothetical” worldwide pandemic that would soon take over the planet in reality.

While the EAC Board of Advisors discussed being prepared for a national disaster during a presidential election, a board member named Daniel Ivey-Soto chimed in to advocate that FirstNet be used as the internet connection at polling places across the country. (Ivey-Soto is a state senator from New Mexico who has become well-known for his ethical conflicts, his leadership role in the corruption of the election franchise in that state, and accusations of sexual misconduct.)

Ivey-Soto wanted the electronic poll pads (which have full access to the voter registration database and voter turnout) and the systems that transmit the election results to be connected to the FirstNet network. Fellow board member, Gema Howell, immediately latched on to Ivey-Soto’s idea of using preemption privileges to connect election equipment to the internet. The board lamented their lack of authority to force jurisdictions to connect to FirstNet. But they decided to use their leverage and connections in the federal government to push the use of the FirstNet cellular network for election systems.

EVIDENCE LOCAL JURISDICTIONS ARE CONNECTED TO FIRSTNET

There is a lot of hard evidence that the EAC Board of Advisors successfully carried out Daniel Ivey-Soto’s vision to connect the nation’s polling places to the FirstNet cellular network.

    DALLAS COUNTY

For example, there is the official network diagram for election sites in Dallas County, Texas (shown below). The diagram shows both the electronic pollbooks and the tabulators connected to a cellular network with a two-way connection between the router at the polling place and the cellular network itself, which is connected to a central county data center.

Network diagram from Dallas County public presentation showing tabulators and pollbooks connected to a cellular network

The priority cellular services provided by Verizon to the Dallas County elections office was the subject of a May 2020 discussion hosted by Hans Olsen, former Department of Homeland Security employee. The goal of the talk was to explain how they “securely” connected election equipment to the cellular network during the March 2020 Primary election. They also heavily advertised Cradlepoint modems which are used prolifically by public safety and critical infrastructure customers to connect to FirstNet.

Slide from Dallas County public presentation on using Cradlepoint modems to connect polling sites to cellular networks

Lester Lewis, a Dallas County IT professional stated, “We were able to use remote tools…to look and to see the signal strength from the carriers… I was able to define the issue right then [from the County Data Center], call Verizon and they were able to make some changes there… on voting night.” Then Gregory Brown, Solution Architect Manager at Verizon stated, “Dallas County upgraded their modems [to Cradlepoint] so that they could have that real-time voter count and voting results sent back to the data centers.” (emphasis added)

The researchers believe the priority cellular network referenced in this talk is actually FirstNet. According to Dr. Bernardin, “The environment for the Government’s intrusion is partially determined by the IT people when they configure the router at the voter center… the IT manager sets up the private network with Wi-Fi protected access and a firewall. The router can be set to randomize the MAC address to keep the network from being identified, but the randomization can be shared with trusted people. The router provides a private, two-way connection between the election equipment and the FirstNet cellular network. Once this two-way connection is established, FirstNet can monitor real-time data that is passing through the election equipment – including who is turning out and how they are voting. This data can be remotely changed by a man-in-the-middle operating on the FirstNet network. In fact, the election results can be entirely fabricated with this clandestine configuration, and nobody would know.”

    FLORIDA

Citizen researchers in St. Johns County, Florida coordinated with each other to document the Wi-Fi networks that were active at fifteen of the polling locations across their county. They discovered that a single cellular network that had been named “LetTheDogOut!” was serving all 15 voting locations in St. Johns County during the 2022 midterms.

Screenshot of Cellular Wi-Fi Network serving St. Johns County, Florida

This evidence indicates that St. Johns County was using a similar priority network setup as Dallas County, Texas, and that service was part of the nationwide “public safety” network.

    CENSORSHIP ABOUT FIRSTNET

As Americans have learned since 2020, looking at what information is being censored and ridiculed is often a strong clue to discovering truth that is inconvenient for the globalist narrative. Elon Musk’s “Twitter Files” and recent congressional hearings have proven that the government has gotten into an Orwellian habit of violating American’s first amendment rights to suppress what they call “malinformation.”

Malinformation is information which is true but will undermine the agenda the government is trying to accomplish.

It appears that actors who have popped up to support the government narrative about the 2016 and 2020 elections wanted to suppress discoveries of county-wide, cellular networks being used to support election equipment:

Prior to the 2022 midterms, True the Vote put out a call to action to their national audience asking citizens to take screenshot documentation of the Wi-Fi networks that were active at their polling places and report anything that seemed suspicious.

This led the leftist coalition called Election Integrity Partnership (EIP) to monitor how this call to action spread on social media and they also likely helped censor it on Twitter. At the conclusion of their “study,” they released a barrage of tweets intimating that there is nothing wrong with internet connections at polling sites and shaming election integrity activists for looking into it. (https://twitter.com/EI_Partnership)

Suspiciously, the EIP (Election Integrity Partnership) was formed a mere 100 days before the 2020 election to monitor “attempts to delegitimize election results” – an activity that prior to 2020 was reserved for prominent democrats and three letter agencies which was never taken seriously by most Americans. The EIP’s work culminated in the publication of a report called “The Long Fuse” that was published in the Spring of 2021 and dismissed all claims of election fraud in the 2020 election as baseless conspiracy theories – a conclusion that a cursory review of video evidence proves to be false.

A prominent member of the EIP is a former CIA employee and anti-Trumper named Rene DiResta who was a primary proponent of the “Russian interference” narrative that the FBI and Hillary Clinton campaign tried to pin to the 2016 election to derail the Trump presidency. The narrative has since been completely debunked by the investigation led by special counsel, John Durham.

The EIP was also tied to the elaborate censorship scheme to silence dissent over the 2020 election and the COVID response exposed by the House Oversight Committee in March 2023.

Since publishing their report in Spring of 2021 condemning everyone who questioned the 2020 election, the EIP was largely silent on the hundreds of efforts that were ongoing across the country to expose insecure and fraudulent elections, until True the Vote asked people to document Wi-Fi networks at polling places. Just the fact that EIP was seeking to suppress citizens looking into Wi-Fi connections at polling places suggests researchers looking into FirstNet were on the right track.

    SECRECY AND VULNERABILITY

It is difficult to obtain information on FirstNet because, while it is taxpayer funded and supposedly for public safety, it is the result of one of the many public-private partnerships involved in our elections which are immune to public records requests.

Shockingly, according to Senator Ron Wyden, FirstNet is also exempt from congressional oversight. In a letter published in April 2023, Wyden stated concerns about the security of the FirstNet network and the likelihood that it could be hacked by bad actors:

“…Cybersecurity experts have long warned that phone networks are vulnerable to surveillance by hackers and foreign spies…[who] can exploit flaws…to track mobile users, intercept calls and tests, and even steal sensitive information available on devices…all U.S. carriers are vulnerable to these exploits, resulting in risks to national security…”

Wyden went on to state that AT&T had apparently conducted cybersecurity audits of the FirstNet system, but that they were unavailable to anyone in the federal government, including Congress, because of a non-disclosure provision in the contract the Department of Commerce had negotiated with AT&T. Therefore, no one knows what was investigated in the audits, what the results were, or whether any identified deficiencies were fixed.

    INFRASTRUCTURE TO STEAL ELECTIONS

The fact that the federal government has interfered in foreign elections is an undisputed fact accepted by the left, the right, and even fact checkers. (https://www.globalresearch.ca/us-interfered-in-elections-of-at-least-85-countries-worldwide-since-1945/5601481) Even the fact that AT&T has worked closely with the federal government for spying operations isn’t much of a secret. Multiple pieces of evidence were provided in this article that AT&T has had a cozy relationship with the federal government to carry out both international and domestic spying operations going back decades. In 1976, President Gerald Ford blocked a subpoena from a congressional subcommittee because he said AT&T “was and is an agent of the United States acting under contract with the Executive Branch.”

Revelations from the Snowden documents suggest that AT&T’s relationship with the federal government continues with the installing of surveillance equipment for the NSA in at least 59 domestic sites. Shortly after the corrupt election system failed to deliver the presidency to Hillary Clinton in 2016, even the Brennan Center for Justice expressed concern that the NSA was too cozy with our domestic communications infrastructure – a topic they are silent on now.

Does infrastructure exist that could change election results electronically in real-time without noticeable delay? Yes – such a thing could be facilitated at the national level by the FirstNet cellular network. All the players surrounding the deployment of FirstNet into elections are already on the suspect list of bad actors of every election integrity researcher as well being part of the group of people who were caught illegally censoring Americans who know 2020 was not a legitimate election.

Dr. Bernardin describes in the following network diagram how the FirstNet network could be misused to connect precincts to county and state election offices in such a way that all election data passes through a single network where it could be intercepted and changed by the other programs the DHS has set up to supposedly protect and monitor our election infrastructure:

Network diagram showing how FirstNet could be misused to interfere with election infrastructure

The idea that our own government would betray its people in such a way was almost impossible to accept in the immediate aftermath of the 2020 election. But after the discovery of massive illegal censorship by the government over discussion of the 2020 election, federal agents planted to agitate the crowd on January 6th, eternal gaslighting from the establishment, and the weaponization of law enforcement to create a two-tiered standard of justice against those claiming fraud occurred – the conclusion that our own government was to blame for the coup that occurred on November 3, 2020, seems obvious.

One last piece of evidence that supports Anderson and Bernardin’s theory that FirstNet is a critical piece of the election-stealing machine is the still unexplained explosion that destroyed an AT&T’s data center in downtown Nashville on Christmas Day, 2020. Very few details ever came out about the perpetrator of the explosion, and no one ever tried to explain why he did it. Early articles did admit that “911 call centers, hospitals, the Nashville airport, government offices” were affected “from Georgia to Kentucky.” Police departments in multiple states were unable to use their FirstNet phones and had to communicate through radio or temporary burner phones. It’s possible FirstNet was the target and it’s possible that evidence of election interference carried out using FirstNet needed to be destroyed.
