Chutkan rejected another Trump proposal that would let him release info if it otherwise becomes public — said Trump can still not share any sensitive discovery on those matters. – The Hill’s Rebecca Beitsch reported.
Chutkan sides with the government on the *definition* of sensitive materials to block sharing any withness testimony.
Of course Jack Smith will label ALL materials sensitive.
Chutkan sided with DOJ in blocking Trump from taking notes with any personally identifying information from the evidence.
According to The Hill, Trump’s attorney pushed back: “I’ve never seen case where counsel has to sit next to a client and literally babysit in terms of what they review and what notes they take.”
Special Counsel Jack Smith also requested a January 2 trial date for President Trump’s charges related to the January 6 case in Washington DC.
Last Tuesday Trump was hit with 4 counts in Jack Smith’s January 6 case: Conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights.
“The Government proposes that trial begin on January 2, 2024, and estimates that its case in chief will take no longer than four to six weeks,” according to a court filing on Thursday.

Following the recent indictment against President Donald Trump, spearheaded by Joe Biden, Merrick Garland, and Jack Smith, it has been revealed that the case was assigned to an Obama-appointee judge, Tanya S. Chutkan.
The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Trump had requested an immediate recusal of far-left and anti-Trump U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan, to preside over his ongoing “January 6th” case in Washington D.C. Trump characterizes the judge as a “biased” judge.
”There is no way I can get a fair trial with the judge ‘assigned’ to the ridiculous freedom of speech/fair elections case. Everybody knows this, and so does she! We will be immediately asking for recusal of this judge on very powerful grounds, and likewise for venue change, out of D.C.,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
NBC has reported that Chutkan is the only federal judge in Washington D.C. who has been sentencing January 6th defendants to terms longer than the government’s recommendations.
Chutkan’s political affiliations have also been brought into question. Public donation records show that she contributed over $3,000 to Barack Obama’s campaigns between 2008 and 2012.
Adding to the controversy is Chutkan’s professional connection to Hunter Biden. Monica Crowley, the former Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs for the U.S. Department of the Treasury, pointed out on X that both Chutkan and Biden were previously employed at the law firm Boies Schiller & Flexner LLP (BSF).
Open Secrets records confirm that Hunter Biden was an attorney at the firm from 2009-2014, with Chutkan also working as an attorney from 2002-2014. She was a counsel at the firm and was made a partner in 2007. Notably, during this period, Hunter Biden served as counsel for Burisma.

It is a fact that Hunter Biden and Chutkan were both employed by, or partners of, BSF. It is also factual that BSF provided services to the Ukrainian oil company Burisma, on whose board Hunter Biden served.
Chutkan worked at BSF from 2002 until the time of her appointment to the D.C. Circuit by then U.S. President Barack Obama in June 2014. She was made a partner of the firm in 2007. Biden, meanwhile, held the title of counsel at BSF from 2010 to 2014.
After joining the board of Burisma in April 2014, as Hunter Biden described in his memoir, he recommended the consulting services of his law firm to help the company implement “corporate practices that were up to accepted ethical snuff.” Burisma paid BSF at least $250,000 dollars for its work.
In sum, it is factual that both Hunter Biden and Chutkan worked under the umbrella of Boies Schiller Flexner between 2010 and 2014, and it is also true that BSF did business with Burisma via Hunter Biden in May 2014. As such, we rate this claim as “True.”
President Trump responded to this revelation following our reporting.

Adding another layer to the controversy, a now-deleted page on the Boies Schiller Flexner (BSF) website revealed that the firm represented Huma Abedin during the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server. (Archive here.) A Twitter user, Bad Kitty Unleashed, uncovered this new revelation.
Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP also deleted Karen Dunn’s profile on their website. Dunn worked at BSF from February 2014 to June 2020, according to her LinkedIn profile.

House Oversight Chairman James Comer (KY) on Friday responded to US Attorney Merrick Garland’s decision to appoint a special counsel in the Hunter Biden probe.
US Attorney General Merrick Garland announced that US Attorney for Delaware David Weiss was appointed Special Counsel in the Hunter Biden investigation.

Dave Weiss allowed the statute of limitations to run out on Hunter’s more serious charges as IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley previously pointed out.

James Comer accused Merrick Garland of stonewalling Congressional oversight with his decision to appoint a special counsel.

On Wednesday the House Oversight Committee released bank records on Hunter Biden’s payments from Russia and Kazakhstan officials.
The report mentions payments from Burisma Holdings, Russian billionaire Yelena Baturina, and Kazakh oligarch Kenes Rakishev.
The payments totaled $20 million to the Biden Crime Family.
In May James Comer identified the NINE Bidens implicated in corruption.
“Joe Biden’s son. Joe Biden’s brother. Joe Biden’s brother’s wife. Hunter Biden’s girlfriend/Beau Biden’s widow, Hunter Biden’s ex-wife. Hunter Biden’s current wife. Months ago, the city contracted with the American Musical and Dramatic Academy to remove all the students of the arts from its Stratford Arms Hotel and instead move in some 500 illegals. The hotel gave the school kids two weeks to vacate the premises, but neither AMDA nor the city informed the neighborhood that the plan was to fill the hotel with illegals.
The whole takeover of the New York hotel was fostered with subterfuge.
“It was a stealth operation. They were bused in the middle of the night, like when they flew them into Westchester, they didn’t want anybody to know what was going on,” Germanotta said. “It was all pretty rapid.”
“There’s now 500 migrants living in that dormitory. That’s when all the mayhem began,” Germanotta told the Post.
“Since the arrival of the migrants, the restaurateur said the quality of life in the area has taken a hit, with impromptu block parties outside the hotel that last into the early morning, prostitution, kids getting catcalled, and reckless e-bikes and motor-scooter drivers wreaking havoc on one-way streets,” the Post reported.
“[New York City’s Heath and Hospitals Corporation’s] answer was, ‘We’ll build a bike corral,’” Germanotta scoffed. “You’re just enabling ’em,” he told the Post.
Now Germanotta has joined with a group of fellow business and building owners in a group that they are calling the West 70th Street Association with which they are taking their concerns about these migrants to New York’s City Hall.
Germanotta also says that he worries about the safety of girls and women in the area because sexist, unruly and unemployed young men are gathering in gangs and harassing women — and girls as young as 14 — in the streets.
Many residents are even afraid to walk their dogs for fear of being attacked by these gangs of illegals, who have no jobs and nothing else to do.
Still, Germanotta insisted that he is not against having migrants in his neighborhood.
“I don’t mind having them there. They’re gonna be there for three years. That was the contract, I understand. But at least manage it. Put the proper security in place, have a police presence and a code of conduct,” he said.
But he added, “They’re guests in our neighborhood, and they have basically taken over.”
Even as Germanotta and his association members told authorities of the problems the illegals were causing, the city didn’t seem to have any real answers.
Germanotta also blasted AMDA, the company that owns the building the city is renting out to house the illegals.
“AMDA is getting very, very rich off this, and they screwed the neighborhood,” Germanotta grumbled.
“In my opinion, you should have just suspended “sanctuary city” status until we had enough housing,” the pop star’s father said. Then, once more housing was obtained, he said more could come. But instead, the city allowed hundreds to flood the city before the housing was arranged.
“The really sad part is that in the neighborhood, we still have our share of veterans and homeless — but we’re not taking care of our own. They don’t get food every day. It’s really sad. I feel for them,” Germanotta concluded.
It is interesting that Germanotta thought of “suspending” the city’s “sanctuary” status. But, in truth, the whole mess seems to prove that those same “sanctuary” policies don’t work in the first place. Because, as soon as a large number of illegals showed up, they couldn’t be accommodated.
It was very easy for these Democrat-led states to be all in for illegals when none were showing up at their doorstep. But now that the illegals have come, suddenly many New Yorkers are questioning their beloved sanctuary policies.
Of course, it isn’t just New York that is facing this dangerous wave. The same wave of illegals is bringing disease, sexual abuse and crime all across the nation and forcing states to spend millions of tax dollars that would not otherwise be spent. And this is all thanks to Joe Biden, who sent the signal that the U.S. had an open-door policy that would allow anyone to simply walk right across the border.

California allows robo-taxis to expand and emergency responders aren’t happy

A battle has been brewing in San Francisco over driverless cars. Hundreds of the autonomous vehicles have been roaming city streets over the past couple of years.
On Thursday, the California Public Utilities Commission, or CPUC, voted 3-1 to let self-driving car companies expand their programs and start charging passengers like taxis.
The build-up before the Commission’s vote Thursday was tense. Public comment lasted more than six hours. Much of that testimony was about how autonomous vehicles have impeded emergency operations in the city.
San Francisco’s police and fire departments have urged the CPUC to oppose the expansion – they say they’ve tallied 55 incidents where self-driving cars have got in the way of rescue operations in just the last six months. The incidents include running through yellow emergency tape, blocking firehouse driveways and refusing to move for first responders.

A growing number of leprosy cases are being reported after COVID-19 vaccination, including two cases in the United Kingdom that researchers said may have been caused by the vaccines.
The researchers examined records from the Leprosy Clinic at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in London. They found that of the 52 people who went to the clinic in 2021, at least 49 were vaccinated.
The study definition of a leprosy adverse event associated with a COVID-19 vaccine included developing leprosy or a leprosy reaction within 12 weeks of receiving a dose and the person having no previous history of leprosy or a leprosy reaction.
Two people met the case definition. One developed borderline tuberculoid (BT) leprosy one week after a second dose. The other experienced a reaction 56 days after a dose. Both doses were Pfizer’s BNT162b2 vaccine. Pfizer did not respond to a request for comment.

Target of a myriad of economic sanctions, and in the middle of the ‘Special Military Operation’ in Ukraine, Russia took an important step in the path back to Space superpower status with the launch of its first moon-landing spacecraft in 47 years.
The mission aims to place the Russians as first nation to make a ‘soft landing’ on the lunar south pole, considered the most promising area for human exploration.
A Soyuz 2.1 rocket carrying lift off from the Vostochny cosmodrome the carrying the Luna-25 craft. The lander is expected to touch down on the moon on Aug. 21, which – probably not coincidentally, is the expected date of arrival of the Indian Lunar mission that aims to land in the same region.

“The Russian lunar mission, the first since 1976, is racing against India, which launched its Chandrayaan-3 lunar lander last month, and more broadly with the United States and China, both of which have advanced lunar exploration programs targeting the lunar south pole.
[..] The lander was boosted out of Earth’s orbit toward the moon over an hour later, at which point mission control took command of the craft, Russia’s space agency Roscosmos said.”
No country has ever made a successful soft landing on the south pole. An earlier Indian mission, Chandrayaan-2, attempted – and failed – it in 2019.
“Luna-25, roughly the size of a small car, will aim to operate for a year on the moon’s south pole, where scientists at NASA and other space agencies in recent years have detected traces of water ice in the region’s shadowed craters.”
The Luna-25 mission is primarily a clear demonstration of the might of the Russian aerospace sector, heavily targeted by western sanctions that, Putin wants to demonstrate, have failed to cripple the Russian capabilities.
“The moonshot, which Russia has been planning for decades, will also test the nation’s growing independence in space after its February 2022 invasion of Ukraine severed nearly all of Moscow’s space ties with the West, besides its integral role on the International Space Station.”
The lunar south pole has a very rough terrain that makes a landing hard to achieve, but it’s also the region that holds the greatest prize: water ice deposits.
Three countries have performed moon landings: the Soviet Union, the United States and China. India and Russia are now literally racing to be the first to land at the moon’s south pole.

“The Russian lunar lander is expected to reach the moon on Aug. 23, about the same day as an Indian craft which was launched on July 14. The Russian spacecraft will take about 5.5 days to travel to the moon’s vicinity, then spend three to seven days orbiting at about 100 kilometers (62 miles) before heading for the surface.
Roscosmos, Russia’s space agency, wants to show they are capable of delivering a payload to the moon, and ‘ensure Russia’s guaranteed access to the moon’s surface’.
“The lunar south pole is of particular interest to scientists, who believe the permanently shadowed polar craters may contain water. The frozen water in the rocks could be transformed by future explorers into air and rocket fuel.
‘The moon is largely untouched and the whole history of the moon is written on its face’, said Ed Bloomer, an astronomer at Britain’s Royal Observatory, Greenwich. ‘It is pristine and like nothing you get on Earth. It is its own laboratory.’
The Luna-25 is to take samples of moon rock and dust. The samples are crucial to understanding the moon’s environment ahead of building any base there, ‘otherwise we could be building things and having to shut them down six months later because everything has effectively been sand-blasted’, Bloomer said.”

On Friday, US Attorney General Merrick Garland announced that US Attorney for Delaware David Weiss was appointed Special Counsel in the Hunter Biden investigation.
Weiss asked for special counsel status in the Hunter Biden case.
“This appointment confirms my commitment to provide Mr. Weiss all the resources he requests,” Garland said. “It also reaffirms that Mr. Weiss has the authority he needs to conduct a thorough investigation and to continue to take the steps he deems appropriate independently based only on the facts and the law.”
Of course, this is just one big cover-up operation.
Federal prosecutors also said on Friday that Hunter Biden’s plea negotiations are at an impasse and asserted the case is headed for a trial in a court filing.
Prosecutors say the venue for Hunter Biden’s tax-related charges lies either in California or DC, not Delaware.
“Venue for these offenses does not lie in Delaware. Rather, venue for these offenses and any other related tax offenses lies either in the Central District of California or in the District of Columbia. The information was filed in this District because the parties had previously agreed that the Defendant would waive any challenge to venue and plead guilty in this District. However, during the July 26, 2023, hearing that the Court set on this matter, the Defendant pled not guilty. Since that time, the parties have engaged in further plea negotiations but are at an impasse. The Government now believes that the case will not resolve short of a trial,” the filing said.
“Now that the parties are at an impasse, a trial is in order,” they wrote. “Venue must be proper for each count of an indictment.”
The judge gave Hunter Biden until Monday to respond to the DOJ’s motion to vacate his plea schedule.

Estefany Puente, a candidate for deputy in the National Assembly of Ecuador, was the victim of a shooting on Thursday, 10, in the city of Quevedo. A bullet struck Estefany’s left arm.
The attack came one day after the country’s presidential candidate, Fernando Villavicencio, was shot dead.
Puente’s car was targeted by two unidentified men. The candidate, her father and a campaign worker were in the car.
Images are circulating on social media of a car with its windshield shattered by gunfire and broken glass.
They were leaving a social organization in the city of Quevedo when the suspects intercepted the car.
Local police are still investigating the motive for the attack and are examining footage from security cameras in the area.
