Saint Louis Rioters are the Latest to Win a Huge Payout – Leftists Rewarded $4.9 Million following their Violent Protests in 2017 that Terrorized the City

St. Louis is the latest Democrat-run city to offer massive payouts to leftist protesters and rioters who caused havoc in their communities and are now winning big payouts from local courts.
This time the money goes to radical leftists arrested following the acquittal of a police officer who fatally shot heroin dealer Anthony Lamar Smith.
Anthony Lamar Smith, a 24-year-old African American resident of St. Louis, Missouri, lost his life in December 2011 after being pursued in a car chase and subsequently shot by Jason Stockley, who was serving as a St. Louis Police officer at that time.
In 2017, The Gateway Pundit reported that a St. Louis judge found former Police Officer Jason Stockley NOT GUILTY of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Anthony Smith, a suspected heroin dealer who rammed Stockley’s police car with his vehicle.
Black Lives Matter held protests daily following the verdict. Protesters stormed a local hotel the Cheshire Inn and harassed patrons in their rooms and at the pool.
Protesters sprayed police officers with an unknown liquid.
St. Louis Police arrested around 80 protesters on the third day of rioting.
After a week of violent protests where over a dozen police officers were injured and several businesses were vandalized, the St. Louis Aldermen sprung to action. The St. Louis Alderman passed a resolution to honor Anthony Smith — the heroin dealer who tried to drive over Officer Stockley.
St. Louis, Missouri, agreed earlier this year to pay the settlement over allegations of police misconduct during mass arrests in 2017.
As of Friday, a portion of the 84 plaintiffs involved in a lawsuit against the city began receiving their respective shares of a $4.9 million settlement agreed upon earlier this year.
The plaintiff’s lawsuit alleged that their rights were violated when police employed a controversial “kettling” technique, surrounding and arresting everyone present within a defined area. In addition to these 84 individuals, three others who had filed individual lawsuits settled for $85,000 each.
The city will give payouts between $28,000 and more than $150,000, according to ABC News.
Dekita Roberts, one of the recipients of the settlement payout, was in disbelief when she received the call informing her of the settlement. Speaking to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, she shared plans to invest some of the funds and set aside a portion for her children.
Another recipient, Ali Bey, 36, expressed his plans to use the money to kickstart his own construction company.
“This takes five steps out of the way for me,” he told Dispatch. “As far as getting a truck and tools, I can begin doing that by the end of the day. I already got some of the clientele.”
“St. Louis has paid more than $10 million altogether in connection with police actions on Sept. 17, 2017. That includes a $5 million payment to Luther Hall, a Black undercover officer who said he was assaulted by fellow police officers who thought he was a protester,” ABC News reported.
“In 2021, the city also agreed to pay $115,000 to a Kansas City filmmaker who said he was beaten and pepper-sprayed during the protests,” the outlet added.
St. Louis joins the expanding list of cities where rioters, who caused widespread destruction of businesses and engaged in rampant looting, are seemingly being rewarded for their actions.
Also in the last two years, New York City, Washington DC and Denver have agreed to shell out millions in taxpayer money as settlements to the protesters and rioters involved in the violent “2020 Summer of Love” protests.
Last month, New York City officials agreed to pay $13 million to violent protesters and rioters.
Over 1,300 protesters are eligible to be paid nearly $9,950 for police action during their violence, looting, arson, and property destruction at the riots following the death of George Floyd in Minnesota that year.
This does not include the payments to roughly 300 protesters who were awarded nearly $12 million in individual lawsuits against the city.
In March, a federal jury in Denver awarded $14 million in compensatory and punitive damages to 12 Black Lives Matter protesters injured by police during a riot over the death of George Floyd.
And in 2021 Washington DC officials paid out over $1.6 million to the violent protesters who disrupted President Trump’s Inauguration in Washington DC.
It should be noted that more police officers were injured in the 2020 BLM riots in Washington, DC, than during the January 6 protests at the US Capitol.
114 police officers were assaulted at the Capitol Hill protests.
180 police officers were assaulted and injured during the BLM riots in Washington, DC alone in the summer of 2020.
And… Four Trump supporters were killed at the US Capitol on January 6.
Zero were killed during the violent BLM riots in Washington, DC.
In 2020 Black Lives Matter-Antifa mobs caused up to 2 billion dollars in damages in cities across America. In Minneapolis alone, Black Lives Matter mobs damaged or destroyed over 1,500 businesses or buildings.
This compares to 1.5 million in estimated damages on January 6, 2021 by Trump supporters and federal and leftist infiltrators in the crowd.
Over 700 police officers were injured in the BLM riots nationally — and that was just the first half of 2020!

tragic suicide of Richard Bilkszto, 60, a principal in Canada, after being bullied and accused of “white supremacy” during “anti-racism” training.
Now, disturbing audio of the interaction between Bilkszto and speaker Kike Ojo-Thompson, founder of the KOJO Institute, has been released by The Free Press.

As country singer Jason Aldean tops the Billboard Hot 100 with his song “Try That in a Small Town,” another country legend has thrown his support behind the star.
Randy Travis and his wife, Mary, spoke with Fox News this week to weigh in on the controversy about the song.
Since Randy Travis suffered a stroke in 2013, Mary does the majority of the speaking for the singer.
“You know, when we heard the song, when we saw the video, our first inclination was, we live in a small town,” she began with Travis nodding in agreement. “We feel the same way. And we want the world to feel that way because we really do want to protect our country.”
Mary continued, “There’s some things that have gotten sideways … and it’s not racial, and it’s not any of those things. It’s just where we want to be as a country and the things that established our country.
“Why is it so hard to believe that we’re going to protect our own? I mean, that’s what we do with our armed forces.
“That’s what we do with our family. If somebody storms in your front door and threatens your wife or your children, what do you do?”
Aldean in July released the music video for “Try That in a Small Town,” which featured images of urban rioters with a warning, as the title suggests, not to try that in a small town.

Critics were quick to claim the song was “pro-lynching” and “racist,” causing Country Music Television to pull the video from its lineup.
Aldean spoke out on social media on July 18, writing: “Try That in a Small Town, for me, refers to the feeling of a community that I had growing up, where we took care of our neighbors, regardless of differences of background or belief. Because they were our neighbors, and that was above any differences.”
Like the Travises, other stars have expressed similar sentiments about how it is to live in a small town.
Legend Lee Greenwood came out in support of Aldean and said, “I’m from a small town in California and, you know what, people can’t take our freedom away because people know everybody in a small town, and that’s what the heart of America is.
“It’s rural America.”

Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture is apparently triggered by free speech. The museum has removed all references to novelist J.K. Rowling in a Harry Potter display, calling the author “transphobic” for believing biological sex is real.
To date, more than 500 million copies of the Potter series have been sold worldwide but yes, let’s pretend the author does not exist.
The Gateway Pundit has reported on the transgender community and their allies directing their rage Rowling for the sin of expressing her personal opinions on transgender issues.
She took a public stand supporting researcher Maya Forstater after Forstater was let go from her job for making comments labeled as “transphobic.” Social Justice Warrior’s branded Rowling a “TERF,” which stands for “trans-exclusionary radical feminist” for doing so.
She triggered the SJWs again, for daring to “misgender” the person behind a Twitter account allegedly tied to to Luis Morales, also known as Synthia China Blast, convicted of murdering a 13-year-old child in a racist gang attack.
Chris Moore, the Exhibitions Project Manager at Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture, explained the decision to disappear the author in a post on the museum’s website. Moore says Rowling is a “cold, heartless, joy-sucking entity” and accuses the author of promoting “transphobic” viewpoints.
“There’s a certain cold, heartless, joy-sucking entity in the world of Harry Potter and, this time, it is not actually a Dementor,” he wrote.
Moore continues:
We would love to go with the internet’s theory that these books were actually written without an author, but this certain person is a bit too vocal with her super hateful and divisive views to be ignored. Yes, we’re talking about J.K. Rowling, and no, we don’t like that we’re giving her more publicity, so that’s the last you’ll see of her name in this post. Mainstream Media Silent as Biden Purges 442 Reporters From White House

When Jim Acosta’s White House press pass was suspended in 2018, following an incident wherein he assaulted a female White House staffer, the mainstream media rallied with outrage. They uniformly defended Acosta’s right to harass and abuse a US president and hijack a press conference.
But the liberal mainstream press is giving cover to the Biden Administration yet again. They are virtually silent on the purge of 442 reporters who have lost hard passes after the White House changed requirements.

In 2018, CNN sued to have Acosta’s pass restored under President Trump, but today they are silent.
Acosta even thanked his colleagues for rallying around him when a federal judge ultimately ruled that the Trump White House had to restore his hard press pass.
Chief White House Correspondent for Today News Africa, Simon Ateba, shared the letter he received, threatening to pull his press pass, with details of the new rules.

The Daily Signal reports that, over the past three months, “the number of reporters with access to the White House dropped by 31%. There are now 442 fewer reporters with a coveted ‘hard pass’—the result of new rules announced in May that took effect Tuesday.”
The White House announced new rules in May to limit the number of journalists who are eligible for a White House hard pass. Reporters are still allowed to apply for a day pass, but they must do so daily and undergo Secret Service review.
Up until this week, the White House didn’t disclose the number of reporters who had a hard pass. Politico reported, “Within the past three months, the number of hard pass holders dropped from 1,417 to 975, with those approved reflecting a mix of renewals and new applications.”

Maria Bartiromo: I will also tell you that all of the lawmakers I spoke with over the weekend, and many of them are on board they want an impeachment inquiry started. They believe that a Georgia indictment is coming in two weeks. So I assume the DOJ is waiting for more evidence of things to come out on Joe Biden and the Biden Family taking money in and then they will give Georgia the go ahead to release another indictment on President Trump.

President Trump was indicted last Tuesday – the DAY AFTER Hunter Biden’s best friend and business associate Devon Archer testified that Joe Biden was included on 20 calls when his son was sitting with foreign officials arranging influence peddling deals for the family.
Archer also testified that Joe Biden met with Russia’s Yelena Baturina who invested $40 million into Hunter Biden’s real estate ventures. And she also paid Hunter Biden $3.5 million in consulting fees. Joe Biden later excluded Baturina from his Russian sanctions list.
So what happened next? President Trump was indicted again today by corrupt Special Counsel Jack Smith.
For those paying attention this is not the first time this has happened. There have been at least six times now where new evidence was released implicating the Biden Crime Family and then President Trump is indicted by the Biden regime the next day.
This is not by accident. Democrats and the Biden Regime are making a mockery of our Justice System. They are intentionally destroying America, our laws, our borders, our reputation, our dollar, our middle class and our culture.
Larry Kudlow laid out this timeline today on his show after news broke that Trump would be indicted.
Larry Kudlow: One reason that this is coming out today is because former Hunter Biden best friend forever, Devin Archer, did his deposition yesterday and talked about the Hunter family brand, which is an influence peddling brand. Just hang on a second.
They do this every time something bad happens.
They come up with another indictment. March 16, Jamie Comer reveals biden’s family payments. Then a few weeks later, April 4, Trump’s New York criminal indictment. That was the Alvin Bragg fiasco. Then later in the spring, June, 8th Republican views Biden’s bribery 1023 form. Okay, the GOP unleashed that the next day. On the 9th, we had Trump’s classified documents indictment about Mar-a-lago in the summertime. Just a few days ago, July 26, we get the Hunter plea deal blows up in Wilmington, Delaware. And guess what? All of a sudden, Trump has to face additional charges from Jack Smith about covering up tapes and having the maintenance guy. I mean, come on.
Yesterday’s deposition was very devastating for the Bidens. So today, all of a sudden, lo and behold, they’re going to come up with some make-up indictment for January 6 that will hold absolutely no legal water.

Donalds accused the Department of Justice of trying to force President Trump to spend so much money defending himself that it will negatively impact his 2024 presidential campaign.
Donalds told Sunday Morning Futures, “The DOJ is corrupt, in my view. They are obstructing justice, especially when you look at how they were handling all these dealings with Hunter Biden.

Pope Francis has confirmed that he sought the help of Brazil’s socialist president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, to secure the release of Catholic bishop Rolando Álvarez, who is imprisoned in Nicaragua’s left-wing dictatorship for opposing the regime led by Marxist Daniel Ortega.
The request from the Supreme Pontiff to the Brazilian president took place in June of this year during a meeting at the Vatican. Lula da Silva gained notoriety for supporting the Sandinista dictatorship in Nicaragua.
“Yes, I asked for Lula’s help,” stated the Pontiff when questioned on the matter in an interview with the Spanish magazine “Vida Nueva”, released this Friday (4).
“I will speak with Ortega to secure his freedom, because one must learn to ask for forgiveness and acknowledge this mistake,” Lula stated after his encounter with the Pontiff. The meeting between Lula and Pope Francis, held in June, lasted approximately 45 minutes.

“Dwayne Montgomery is a retired deputy inspector with the NYPD, where he overlapped with Adams before the mayor retired to pursue a political career.”
“According to an indictment unveiled by Bragg Friday, Montgomery was among six people charged with an elaborate scheme to circumvent campaign finance laws and ply the campaign with cash in the hopes of currying favor for future business deals with the city, once Adams was elected.”
Adams admits that he knows the main man involved in the case.
Mayor Eric Adams acknowledged that he knows the man at the center of an alleged scheme to divert thousands of dollars in public money to his campaign from their overlapping careers at the NYPD.
Hizzoner’s remarks on Monday were the first he has made about the straw donor scandal since Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg indicted Dwayne Montgomery — the former police inspector — and five other men for allegedly using friends and relatives to make illegal donations to Adams’ 2021 mayoral campaign.
A top Adams aide was involved in the arrest.
A top City Hall aide has been outed as the campaign worker who dealt with the alleged mastermind of a straw donor scheme to gain political influence in the Big Apple.
Rachel Atcheson, Mayor Eric Adams’ deputy director for food policy and a fellow vegetarian, organized a fundraiser with accused ringleader Dwyane Montgomery, a former NYPD inspector and head of integrity for a municipal workers union, according to newly filed court documents.
Manhattan prosecutors identified Atcheson as “Campaign Representative #1” who was mentioned in an indictment filed against Montgomery, five others and Ecosafety Consultants Inc. earlier this month in the alleged big-bucks scam.
Another Democrat was involved in the arrest as well.
A Manhattan Democratic Party official has been identified as a “straw donor” who dealt with at least one of the defendants in the alleged criminal campaign-finance scheme that has rocked Mayor Eric Adams’ 2021 campaign.
William Smith, a Democratic district leader from East Harlem, was revealed as “straw donor 16” who had conversations with defendant Shamsuddin Riza in the case, according to court papers filed by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office.
Not long after all of this, the Head of NYC anti-violence program was busted in a gun and drug bust.
The director of a Bronx anti-violence program listed as part of Mayor Eric Adams’ plan to curb shootings was hit with drug and gun charges in a massive upstate bust, The Post has learned.
Michael Rodriguez, 48, head of Bronx Rises Against Gun Violence (BRAG), was among 15 suspects charged in the drug conspiracy case, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office said Tuesday.
He is accused of supplying drugs to dealers in Middletown and Port Jervis to be sold on the streets.
Cops raided his Yonkers home last week and allegedly found the drugs, more than $165,000 in cash and two illegal guns — a Ruger .380 caliber handgun and a Bond Arms .357-caliber handgun.
Rodriguez’ organization BRAG is among the grassroots organizations listed as community partners in the city’s “Blueprint to End Gun Violence” released last year.
The New York Daily News reported recently on the former NYC Buildings Commissioner who has been charged with corruption.
Former New York City Buildings Commissioner Eric Ulrich has been charged with corruption in a sealed indictment, sources told the Daily News late Thursday.
Ulrich was revealed to be in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s crosshairs when investigators seized his phone last November, seven months after Mayor Adams tapped him as his Buildings commissioner. He resigned his Buildings post days later…
…the charges Ulrich faces are also expected to touch on his alleged ties to organized crime and illegal gambling.
In another story a minister in NYC was charged with corruption related to the NYC government.
The flashy, jewelry-flaunting Brooklyn pastor who reported being robbed while preaching at his church this past summer was arrested on federal charges Monday – unrelated to the July incident – for allegedly defrauding a parishioner, trying to extort a businessman and lying to the FBI, according to a federal indictment.
Lamor Whitehead, the 45-year-old pastor who goes by “Bishop,” was charged with wire fraud, attempted wire fraud, attempted extortion and making a material false statement, the US Attorney’s Office of the Southern District of New York announced. He faces up to 65 years in prison for his alleged crimes.
As the pastor of Leaders of TomorrowInternational Ministry, Whitehead allegedly defrauded one of his parishioners out of about$90,000 from her retirement savings over the course of at least 14 months beginning around April 2020, according to the indictment. The document said Whitehead told the parishioner he would use her money to help her buy a home and invest the rest of the money, but instead used it “to purchase thousands of dollars of luxury goods and clothing” and “for his own purposes.”
Whitehead never helped her buy a home, the court document says, and never returned her money despite her request.
This spring, Whitehead allegedly attempted to convince a businessman to loan him about $500,000 and grant him a stakein real estate transactions in exchange for obtaining “favorable actions by the New York City government” that would make them “millions” – something the pastor knew he could not obtain, the indictment says. Earlier this year, he also allegedly used “threats of force” against that same businessman to extort $5,000 from him.
Former NYPD officer Sal Greco was on the other side of the NYC justice system. He befriended Roger Stone and as a result was fired by the NYPD. His removal was based on the fact that he was Roger Stone’s friend and that he could not work for NYC and have been connections to a criminal (Stone was pardoned of any wrongdoing at the time).
Greco shared the mass corruption a month ago.
On Thursday, Greco shared more on the destruction of the Big Apple due to the corruption of its latest mayor.

China is Funding America’s Public Schools in $17 Million ‘Global Influence’ Plan, ‘Alarming’ Report Indicates – GOP Investigating

China’s tentacles are reaching into American public schools at an alarming rate, according to parents and several Republican members of Congress.
A new report from Parents Defending Education, a grassroots organization focused on education, says that over time, China has reached into 143 school districts in 34 states and the District of Columbia through its Confucius Classrooms program, giving schools $17,967,565.12 since 2009. Of those schools, the report said, the “CCP has had ties to school districts near 20 U.S. military bases.”
“The allure of Chinese language and culture programs have led American K-12 schools to forge ties with one of the United States’ biggest foreign adversaries,” the group’s report, titled “Little Red Classrooms,” said.
“While it’s important to provide students access to Chinese language and culture programs in schools, American schools should not give the Chinese Communist Party unfettered access to our students,” the report said.
The Confucius Classrooms project is an offshoot of what are called Confucius Institutes that were set up at U.S. universities.
“Chinese state media has touted the work done by Confucius Institutes and Confucius Classrooms to further the Chinese Communist Party’s global influence,” the report from Parents Defending Education said.
A report from the National Association of Scholars noted that many Confucius Institutes closed down due to “pressure from the FBI, the Department of State, Congress, and state legislatures.”
As noted by the U.K. Daily Mail, several Republicans in Congress want all existing partnerships scrutinized or severed.
Republican Rep. Mike Waltz of Florida said the Parents Defending Education report is “’alarming” because “we truly don’t understand the full extent of Communist China’s meddling in our education system.”
“Not only is the CCP trying to promote their propaganda through education programs but are using Chinese shell companies to outright buy American private schools around the country,” he said, using an acronym for the Chinese Communist Party.
Republican Sen. Roger Marshall of Kansas told the Daily Mail that the apparent targeting of schools near military bases is concerning.
“From buying our farmland to setting up CCP police stations here on U.S. soil, stealing our intellectual property, spying on our military bases, and now buying their way into our children’s K-12 schools, it is past time for this administration to wake up and realize what we are up against,” he said.
House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul, a Texas Republican, said that, “Learning languages and cultures critical to national security, like Chinese, is essential, but it shouldn’t come with Communist propaganda and influence.”
“The Chinese Communist Party is not a trustworthy partner. Accepting funding and influence from our greatest adversary is a threat to America’s children and national security,” Republican Rep. Jim Banks of Indiana said.
“The CCP’s goal is to undermine U.S. strength at home and our leadership abroad. We should take every measure to strengthen our defenses against this adversary, which must include blocking their ability to propagandize in America’s K-12 schools. I call on you to immediately address this issue with the urgency it deserves and look forward to your response,” Banks wrote in a letter to Education Secretary Miguel Cardona, according to the Washington Examiner.

This Sunday (August 6th), the ultimatum by the West African regional bloc ECOWAS expires, potentially opening the way for conflict in the region, with military intervention in Niger triggering a proxy war of considerable proportions.
On one side, the US and former African colonial power France, and the Western African nations of the ECOWAS – notably Nigeria, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire and Benin. On the other, Russia, Wagner PMC, Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Guiana.

“Niger’s new military junta has asked for help from the Russian mercenary group Wagner as the deadline nears for it to release the country’s ousted president or face possible military intervention by the West African regional bloc, according to an analyst.”
One of the Niger military rebels, Gen. Salifou Mody, traveled to neighboring ally Mali, where besides meeting the local military leaders, he also made contact with a representative from Wagner PMC group.

This moves comes as Niger’s junta faces a Sunday deadline to release and reinstate ousted President Mohamed Bazoum.
“After his visit to Mali, run by a sympathetic junta, Mody warned against a military intervention, vowing that Niger would do what it takes not to become “a new Libya,” Niger’s state television reported Friday.”
Niger was the Western nations’ last reliable partner for counterterrorism in the region.
The developments mark a hard blow for French influence in Africa, as the Niger military junta scrapped all military agreements with the former colonial masters.
The nation poised to reap the political benefits at this point appears to be Russia.
“It isn’t possible to say Russia is directly involved in Niger’s coup, but ‘clearly, there’s an opportunistic attitude on the part of Russia, which tries to support destabilization efforts wherever it finds them’, French foreign affairs ministry spokeswoman Anne-Claire Legendre told broadcaster BFM on Friday. For days after Niger’s junta seized power, residents waved Russian flags in the streets.
[…] On Saturday, France’s foreign affairs minister, Catherine Colonna, said the regional threat of force was credible and warned the putschists to take it seriously. ‘Coups are no longer appropriate … It’s time to put an end to it’, she said. The ministry said France supported the ECOWAS efforts ‘with firmness and determination” and called for Bazoum and all members of his government to be freed’.”
France still has 1,500 soldiers in Niger, and U.S. also has 1,100 military personnel in the country.

Meanwhile, the ECOWAS defense leaders gathered to plan the moves ahead.
Reuters Reported:
“West African defense chiefs have drawn up a plan for military action if Niger’s coup is not overturned by Sunday, the regional bloc said on Friday, after mediation failed in a crisis that threatens regional security and has drawn in global powers.
[..] Given its uranium and oil riches and pivotal role in the war with Islamist rebels in the Sahel region, Niger has strategic significance for the United States, China, Europe and Russia.”
The intervention plan has been agreed upon, as per Abdel-Fatau Musah, ECOWAS commissioner for political affairs, peace and security.
“‘All the elements that will go into any eventual intervention have been worked out here, including the resources needed, the how and when we are going deploy the force’, he said at the close of a three-day meeting in Nigeria’s capital Abuja.”

According to this Daniel Calabrese article, Hillary Clinton was fired from her job as a staff attorney for the House Judiciary Committee during the Watergate investigations for, among other things, lying:
Jerry Zeifman, a lifelong Democrat, supervised the work of 27-year-old Hillary Rodham on the committee. Hillary got a job working on the investigation at the behest of her former law professor, Burke Marshall, who was also Sen. Ted Kennedy’s chief counsel in the Chappaquiddick affair.
When the investigation was over, Zeifman fired Hillary from the committee staff and refused to give her a letter of recommendation – one of only three people who earned that dubious distinction in Zeifman’s 17-year career.
Why?
“Because she was a liar,” Zeifman said in an interview last week. “She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of confidentiality.”
The fact that this hasn’t come out prior to this election cycle (Patterico wrote about it here), is perhaps the most shocking revelation of all. One has to be convinced that if it were a Republican who had a past like this, the politician’s career would never have gotten off the ground. Such a revelation – so easily discovered by simply asking her boss on the Committee – would have been all over the media if a Republican had been fired for “lying” amd violating “the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee, and the rules of confidentiality.”
Hillary Clinton has been a public figure for 20 years or more. She has run for office twice in New York. I am absolutely flabbergasted that the press was so incurious as to not dig this information out earlier or if it has been in the public domain, why it hasn’t been given a huge amount of play by the news nets and major media. Is lying, violating ethics and the Constitution in a candidate’s past not important to the voter when they make their decision on who to support for president?
Regardless, among Clinton’s transgressions while on staff at the House Judiciary Committee were her apparent lying about not seeking to change House rules by assuring her boss she had no intention of doing so and then later being discovered that she was already advocating radical changes including a recommendation to deny President Nixon the right to counsel. Ziefman wrote on his own website:
In one written legal memorandum, she advocated denying President Nixon representation by counsel. In so doing she simply ignored the fact that in the committee’s then most recent prior impeachment proceeding, the committee had afforded the right to counsel to Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas. I had also informed Hillary that the Douglas impeachment files were available for public inspection in the committee offices. She later removed the Douglas files without my permission and carried them to the offices of the impeachment inquiry staff — where they were no longer accessible to the public.
As Ed Morrissey points out:
If all she did was to propose that as a tactic, that would not make it terribly concerning — but she did much more than just spitball ideas. When informed that public evidence showed a precedent for the right to counsel, she absconded with the files to eliminate the evidence.
Does that remind anyone of later incidents in the Clinton narrative, such as the billing records for the Rose Law offices and the 900+ raw FBI files on political opponents of the Clintons?
Hillary’s advocates could accuse Zeifman of conjuring up these stories in order to draw attention to himself in the middle of a presidential campaign. However, Calabrese reports that Zeifman kept diaries during this period, urged on by friends mindful of the historical nature of the Watergate investigation. No one would have known at the time that this 27-year-old barracuda would have any sort of national significance — which makes Zeifman’s testimony all the more compelling.
Indeed it does. Read the whole shocking story and then wonder anew at either the unbelievable laziness of the press or their rank bias – the only two possible explanations for why this is just coming out now.

Niger junta turns to Wagner for help – AP
One of the leaders of last week’s coup in Niger has reportedly sought the assistance of Russian defense contractor Wagner Group PMC as the junta nears a deadline to either return the ousted president to power or face a possible military intervention by neighboring states.

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has threatened to send troops into Niger if the coup leaders don’t return President Mohamed Bazoum to power by Sunday. Bazoum has been under house arrest since his ouster and has asked the US “and the entire international community” to restore his government. The militaries of several ECOWAS members, including Nigeria, have agreed on a plan for their intervention in Niger.…
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said that the future of the contracts Wagner signed with various African countries is a matter for those client governments to decide. The firm’s troops have reportedly operated in such countries as Mali, Burkina Faso, Sudan, Mozambique and the Central African Republic.
Mali and Burkina Faso are among the ECOWAS member states that have sided with the Niger junta following the coup. Bazoum accused the two neighbors of employing “criminal Russian mercenaries.”
African Freedom Institute President Franklin Nyamsi warned… that if ECOWAS carried out its threat to send troops into Niger, it would be seen as a declaration of war on the junta’s allies, including Mali and Burkina Faso. Such a conflict could escalate dramatically as the warring factions seek help from the world’s leading military powers, he said, adding, “We are now at the door of a world African war.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy faces civil war if he continues to illegally hold power in the country. A former adviser to Leonid Kuchma, Oleh Soskin, said this on YouTube.
“If martial law is not cancelled and elections are held, this power will be considered illegitimate. And since illegitimate, it is outlawed, and any Ukrainian within the framework of the fifth article of the constitution can destroy the rebels,” he said.
Earlier, Soskin said that the decision announced on 26 July to extend martial law shows Zelenskyy’s fear of losing the election.
The expert also noted that the failed policy of the Ukrainian president was the reason why many spheres of the state, including the economic and military ones, were almost completely destroyed.
“The Kiev regime has no popular support. As soon as the external supports fall away, everything will collapse at once,” the politician said.
