Reader’s Links for July 19th, 2023

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. Dear Sphincter ostensibly caught between a Muslim rock and tranny hard place. But, Stephen Coughlin recently, somewhere, gave his take on the dialectically tactical utility of this situation, if I can dust off my understanding of his dense brilliance, of a thesis, antithesis, synthesis mechanism at play here moving monoliths leftward. I will need help to parse this further, and time that I don’t have right now, so Vlad?

In other words, it may not all be a mistake.

  2. For the First Time, Kamala Harris Speaks Truth! Fighting Climate Change Requires Governments to ‘Reduce Population’
    By Jim Hoft Jul. 19, 2023 7:45 am67 Comments

    Guest post by Leo Hohmann

In a totally controlled technocratic society masquerading as a “democracy,” where elected politicians are mere figureheads and front men, such politicians are not allowed to speak the truth. And, when they do so accidentally, it must be “cleaned up” by their unelected handlers and corporate-media lackeys.

We saw this phenomenon in action recently in Washington.

Fox News reported that Vice President Kamala Harris’s “gaffe-filled week got a little bit worse Friday when she appeared to mistakenly call for reducing the population in order to provide cleaner air and drinking water.”

“When we invest in clean energy and electric vehicles and reduce population, more of our children can breathe clean air and drink clean water,” Harris told a crowd at Coppin State University in Baltimore, Maryland, in a speech centered on the Inflation Reduction Act.

    Take a look below.

The White House immediately went into clean-up mode. They had a big pile of Kamala doo doo to tend to and they got right to work. They needed hazmat suits for this one, which was extra stinky.

And being the good little lapdogs that they are, Fox News was right there ready to help, sleeves rolled up and mops in hand.

Fox News tells us that Harris meant to say “pollution” needs to be reduced, not population. Heaven forbid that any public official should tell us the truth.

The official transcript of the event reflects that Harris meant to say that electric vehicles and clean energy would reduce pollution, Fox News assures us.

OK, so let’s give them the benefit of the doubt and for the sake of argument say that the original transcript did say “pollution,” which is more than likely true because politicians never admit the truth of why they are pushing the policies they push. Politicians speak for the lowest common denominator of society. They don’t care that with even a tiny bit of research we can look online and find countless instances of elites openly discussing the need to fight climate change by reducing the global population. They know that 99 percent of Americans will never do that research.

Bill Gates came right out and said the quiet part out loud during a 2010 TED Talk titled “Innovating to Zero” which was all about how to fight climate change. Gates said, “First we’ve got population. The world today has 6.8 billion people. That’s heading up to about 9 billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, healthcare, reproductive health services, we can lower that by perhaps 10 to 15 percent.” Watch below and fast-forward to the 4:30 mark.

Gates was speaking in the context of what? Climate change and how to fight it! The exact same topic Kamala Harris was speaking on Friday when she made her “gaffe.”

Why is it a “gaffe” when Harris says it in 2023 but words of wisdom when Gates says it in 2010?

If you listen to Gates’ entire 2010 TED Talk, in full context, you can see he is calling for population reduction as one of four key factors in getting to a “net zero” carbon emissions and therefore “saving the planet.”

At the 3:57 minute mark in the above video, Gates lists “four factors” critical to achieving his mythical “net zero” carbon world, and number one atop his list is “the number of people.”

So even if Harris did veer off the script written for her by her handlers, it’s extremely likely that she made what’s called a Freudian slip, meaning she mistakenly spoke the truth instead of what was printed in her prepared statement.

It’s not like it’s any big secret that the climate alarmists desire a much smaller global population. They say it out in the open and write it in their white papers.

Bill Gates is not the only wealthy globalist-elitist who has openly argued for a smaller global population.

Dennis Meadows, a key figure in the environmental movement with connections to the Club of Rome, co-authored a very influential book in 1972 titled The Limits to Growth, in which he argued for a drastically reduced global population. In more recent years Meadows gave an interview in which he openly stated that the ideal global population would be “one or two billion people,” about 80 percent fewer people than the 7.5 billion now living on the Earth.

According to the Internet Archive, The Limits to Growth is “about the computer modeling of exponential economic and population growth with finite resource supplies. Funded by the Volkswagen Foundation and commissioned by the Club of Rome it was first presented at the St. Gallen Symposium. Its authors were Donella H. Meadows, Dennis L. Meadows, Jørgen Randers, and William W. Behrens III. The book used the World3 model to simulate the consequence of interactions between the Earth’s and human systems.

“Five variables were examined in the original model. These variables are: world population, industrialization, pollution, food production and resource depletion.”

Henry Kissinger authored a document referred to as “the Kissinger Report” in 1974, in which he called for drastic reductions in the population of the Third World so that the West could continue to get away with stripping them of their resources. This document, which was top secret when created in 1974 but later declassified in December 1980, even set forth policy recommendations on how the U.S. government and its allies could “create conditions for fertility decline” in the less-wealthy nations of Africa and Asia.

Klaus Schwab, Yuval Harari and the rest of the World Economic Forum cabal all advocate today for a smaller global population. Harari has stated that the problem is not only that we have too many people on the planet but “too many useless people.”

So this information is out there for all to see and hear.

But when Kamala Harris says it, oh no, that’s not really what she meant. That was a “gaffe.” That was a “mistake.”

We know that the Biden administration is on board with the entire United Nations, WEF depopulation agenda, which calls for “fighting climate change” by radically reducing the number of livestock and human beings on the planet. They call it the green economy and “building back better” under the “Great Reset,” the very slogans handed to them by the WEF, the U.N., and King Charles.

So, why should we not take Kamala Harris seriously when she mistakenly parrots the talking points she hears from her superiors ad nauseam behind closed doors? Only a fool would disregard it. But isn’t that what Fox News’ role has been all along, to play the fool? The controlled opposition? The ones wearing the white hats who push back just enough to make it look like there is someone in the media who is fighting for us, the good guys, only to drop the ball at the key moment as we the people are sitting back in our easy chairs?

It’s all a charade. It’s all theater. Fox News is owned by globalists and staffed by sellouts working for a paycheck. Tucker Carlson had a conscience and couldn’t keep his part of the deal. He said too much. He was fired.

But they can’t fire us. We must continue preparing ourselves and our families for hard times, for times when we will be forced to make hard decisions: Comply with the beast system and become its slave, or detach from it and retain our human dignity as God’s people created in his holy image with souls and a free will. It’s been said that no nation or group of people has ever complied their way out of tyranny. Nor will they ever. Peaceful non-compliance and civil disobedience are the only answers while praying for divine protection in the midst of the coming storm.

  3. Note to Kari Lake: German Supreme Court to Rule If Berlin Federal Elections have to be Repeated

    By Richard Abelson Jul. 19, 2023 8:30 am8 Comments

The German federal elections may have to be redone in the entire city-state of Berlin, according to a lawsuit by the Christian Democrat party, after February’s repeat of muncipal elections brought down the leftist Mayor and city government.

The elections for the German Bundestag on Sept. 26, 2021 suffered mass irregularities, as conservative magazine Tichy’s Einblick and independent representative Marcel Luthe proved after half a year of gumshoe detective work Over 20 staffers hand-counted ballots and checked them with tally sheets, which proved to be wildly inaccurate, with some districts reporting exactly the same percentages across all their polling stations, down to the hundredth of a percent.

On Nov. 16, 2022 the Berlin Supreme Court ruled the local elections will have to be repeated. New local elections on Feb. 12, 2023 led to the fall of the illegitimate far-left green-left city government and Mayor, and a center-right majority and conservative Mayor April 27.

  5. Pres. Trump Criticizes House Republicans: “Why Aren’t They Impeaching Biden for Receiving Tens of Millions of Dollars? Why Isn’t He Under Impeachment?” (VIDEO)

President Trump joined Sean Hannity on Tuesday night for a live audience interview.

During their discussion, President Trump asked why Republicans are not impeaching Joe Biden. The evidence is there for all to see.

“Until I got indicted, I had such respect for the office of the president. I didn’t want to say things [about Biden],” Trump said.

“Sean, we have a compromised president. China gives him millions of dollars. If he is giving Biden millions of dollars, he’s compromised.”

The Biden admin “have effectively issued a third indictment and arrest of Joe Biden’s number one political opponent, who is largely dominating him in the race for the presidency.”

Federal investigators have reportedly seized the phones of advisors to 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump as part of an investigation into the events of January 6, 2021.

According to the New York Times, the phones of Boris Epshteyn, described as “an in-house counsel who helps coordinate Mr. Trump’s legal efforts,” and campaign strategist Mike Roman, who was director of Election Day operations for Trump’s campaign in 2020.

The phones of John Eastman and Jeffrey Clark were also seized. Clark’s phone was seized as part of an investigation into alternate electors.

  8. Lawmakers cool on sci-fi climate fix

Congress isn’t keen on creating a real-world version of “Snowpiercer,” the sci-fi classic where humans fire aerosols into the atmosphere to counteract climate change.

The White House said such geoengineering was a “possibility” worth studying in a recent report — mandated by Congress — that came out with zero fanfare before the July Fourth weekend. But Emma Dumain and Corbin Hiar found little enthusiasm among lawmakers for monkeying with the atmosphere, especially as a substitute for reducing carbon pollution.

“Why try a complicated and potentially dangerous solution when we have the obvious one right in front of us?” asked Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.).

The backstory: The idea of geoengineering has kicked around science and policy circles for years, but language from former Rep. Jerry McNerney (D-Calif.) in a 2022 spending bill forced the White House to weigh in.

McNerney, who retired in January, said most members of Congress aren’t educated enough to consider what could be a last-ditch solution to stem the warming of the Earth.

“If we just put our heads in the sand,” he said, “we may not have any means to prevent catastrophe if it’s looming.”

McNerney was turned on to geoengineering years ago by SilverLining, a group that advocates for research on what it calls “emergency medicine” for the climate. That includes harnessing particles in the atmosphere to reflect back sunlight.

Hold up: The group’s leader, Kelly Wanser, says she knows geoengineering has risks. (Spoiler alert: “Snowpiercer” takes place in an apocalyptic ice age.) That’s why she wants Congress to study it.

And that’s about as far as lawmakers are ready to go — if they’ll discuss geoengineering at all.

California Rep. Zoe Lofgren, the top Democrat on the House Science, Space and Technology Committee, told Emma and Corbin she worries about “catastrophic” outcomes from tinkering with the planet. The committee’s chair, Rep. Frank Lucas (R-Okla.), said he hasn’t even seen the White House report.

Many climate advocates oppose the idea. Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) and Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-Mich.) introduced climate legislation last year that would have barred federal spending on geoengineering.

Even the White House report said that “there are no plans underway” for a geoengineering research program.

But Rep. Sean Casten (D-Ill.) warned against failing to prepare for technology that other countries may embrace.

TOC Ready Room 14 July 2023: $5 million here and there; Trump and the missile launch; Reserve call-up freak-out
What’s wrong and right with the world.

First of all, felicitations to France on the 236th anniversary of Bastille Day, which has a few more hours to play out here in Southern California.

Second of all, a few choice topics for a badly-needed Ready Room update.

April-May 2014 and alleged $5 million bribes to Bidens

This is a quick update on a Bidens-Burisma matter reported at TOC back in March 2022. I won’t rehash the whole history here; it’s all in the original article (scroll down toward the end for the gist).

The basic outline is that in March 2014, Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky tried to move $23 million out of a UK account he had established the previous year with the French global bank BNP Paribas. The French bank was under investigation for money-laundering and sanctions violations by the U.S. DOJ in the Southern District of New York at the time, but the probe seemed to move at a glacial pace, and BNP was actually allowed to make banking transactions with sanctioned Iranian correspondents (as well as Ukrainian entities under suspicion of corruption) during the investigation.

Within a month after BNP Paribas reported Zlochevsky’s proposed $23 million withdrawal to the UK Serious Fraud Office (SFO), however, the U.S. DOJ suddenly sprang into action and started turning the screws on BNP.

A few citations from my March 2022 piece show the timeline. BNP reported the Zlochevsky withdrawal, initiated 11 March 2014, to the SFO on or about 22 March.

By mid-April the SFO process was in full swing. “The SFO investigator, Richard Gould, filed statements with the court on 14 and 16 April; the 16 April filing sought a court order to freeze the funds in Zlochevsky’s account on suspicion that he was laundering money. The order was granted.”

Hunter Biden was added to the board of Burisma on 18 April 2014. The slow-rolled DOJ probe of BNP took off like a rocket at the same time.

Then: “[B]y 30 April 2014, BNP’s rapidly worsening expectations about a settlement [with DOJ] were that the bank might be on the hook for a sum ‘far in excess’ of $1.1 billion.” The $1.1 billion sum had been a projected settlement amount back in sleepy February 2014.

In May 2014, the UK SFO received a trove of some 6,000 transaction documents it was demanding from BNP Paribas.

In the middle of the bank’s production period for those documents (6-20 May), “by 13 May 2014 [in the U.S.] the talk was of a settlement of at least $3 billion [i.e., BNP with DOJ]. On 30 May the figure had jumped to potentially over $10 billion.”

BNP Paribas Headquarters, Paris (detail). Wikipedia: Tangopaso – Own work.
As the incumbent POTUS might say, “Son of a B.” That bank exposing a Zlochevsky money move was instantly being threatened – by the Obama administration DOJ – with the biggest fine of its kind in history.

And the denouement: “On 23 June 2014, the final tally of $8 to $9 billion [for BNP’s DOJ settlement] was previewed. The plea deal came in a week later at $8.97 billion.” That amount, although a bit less than the potential $10 billion cited a few weeks earlier, was at the time the largest such fine ever imposed.

The purpose for going over this again is to compare it with the whistleblower information recently revealed in the House’s investigation of the Biden family monetary dealings with foreign entities (see here and here as well). The whistleblower came forward due to his/her knowledge of tipping information received in 2020 from an FBI confidential human source (CHS).

The CHS’s information – the information relevant to this present matter – dates to a period running from 2014 to 2016, and concerns bribes of $5 million each, allegedly paid by a Burisma executive (probably Mykola Zlochevsky) to Hunter and Joe Biden.

Initial descriptions of the payments and their context seemed to focus on the period 2015-2016. That appears to be the timeframe when the information came to the CHS’s attention.

But it may not be when the alleged bribes were being discussed and/or were paid.

In an online posting introducing a 28 June 2023 letter to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Rep. James Comer (R-KY) clarified that his committee is requesting relevant bank activity reports going back to April 2014. And that’s not just because Hunter joined the board of Burisma and started receiving compensation that month.

It’s because of this nugget cited in Comer’s postings: the whistleblower (apparently an FBI employee with knowledge of the case and the CHS information) “said they had email correspondence from May 2014 referencing a $5 million payment.”

While it’s not a slam-dunk that this $5 million payment is one of the ones the CHS gave a tip about (as recorded in the 2020 Form FD-1023 summary), it’s quite likely. There haven’t been other-source clues so far about “$5 million payments” relating to Burisma.

It’s also not clear from Comer’s posting whether the $5 million payment actually happened on or before the date of the May 2014 email (whose exact date we don’t have). Whatever mental images people have formed from the reporting so far, we don’t actually have a date for either of the alleged $5 million payments, as far as I can discern.

But: Comer’s focus on the April-May 2014 period dovetails perfectly with the BNP Paribas developments at the same time.

Whether Zlochevsky’s BNP account was involved in the $5 million payments or not, the aggregate information so far strongly bolsters the analysis that DOJ was ramping up threats to BNP at that particular time because Zlochevsky’s transactions were likely to involve the Bidens at the other end – or indeed actually did.

Alert readers will recall that the UK SFO got Zlochevsky’s funds frozen in April 2014. So Zlochevsky wouldn’t have been able to use money from that account to make $5 million payments in April or May 2014.

But as noted in my March 2022 article, the UK suddenly released Zlochevsky’s funds in a suspiciously abrupt, uncommunicative court ruling in December 2014. If the actual alleged payments to the Bidens were made after that, Zlochevsky could have used the money from his BNP Paribas account.

If they were made before that, any connection with that specific account would be more circuitous, and presumably based on Zlochevsky’s trail-covering scheme.

But the sudden release of his funds in December 2014 would still probably be part of a connected sequence of events in which the scales were tipped by the justice systems of both the UK and U.S. to put hooks in a banking giant that was doing business with the Bidens’ pals at Burisma.

Rep. Comer wanted the response from Treasury on the Burisma-related transactions by 12 July 2023; i.e. by Wednesday, two days ago. I haven’t seen an update on that production from Treasury. It will be fascinating to see if Comer does get the information, and what it says.

Trump, Shinzo Abe, Mar-a-Lago, and the continuing silly saga

This is so dumb it would be fun for it to surface for a well-deserved roasting in court. But because it’s asinine, someone will probably think better of doing anything more with it than just leaving it out there to continue figuring in breathless Twitter references.

The mainstream media have been working diligently to come up with seeming instances of Trump exhibiting classified material to uncleared people, especially foreign ones, at Mar-a-Lago. They seem to think they have something in the account of the dinner hosted by Trump for the late Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan in February 2017.

This is something we were aware of at the time. But the media, though critical (without justification), hadn’t been primed to thunder against it as criminal, treasonous behavior at that point. What happened, in a brief summary, is this.

North Korea test-launched a missile during the Trump-Abe dinner. (It was morning, the following day, in the Far East at that point.)

Trump received notification of that event during the dinner. He proceeded to show Mr. Abe the intelligence he had just gotten. Other people in the immediate area may have been able to see what the two were looking at; at a minimum, other dinner guests heard what they were discussing.

Six-odd years later, a great caterwauling has arisen about this interlude.

And now your faithful correspondent is here to lay it to rest.

Japan is a U.S. treaty ally with which we routinely share exactly the intelligence President Trump was looking at. Shinzo Abe, the prime minister of Japan at the time, routinely saw the exact same intelligence from the exact same sources through his own national channels.

Not only is there nothing untoward in Trump letting Abe know about the update he’d just received, it would have been improper to not let the prime minister of our treaty ally Japan know about a quiver in the threat environment on Japan’s perimeter at the moment it happened.

Prime Minister Abe might want to dispatch his people to get an update on national alert status and what his own forces were doing. On the other hand, Abe’s traveling staff would have some reluctance to interrupt the dinner at which their VIP was a guest to give him intelligence updates, as if it were a dramatic national security emergency.

Trump did exactly the right thing keeping our treaty ally Abe collegially informed. It was proper defense and security procedure and good statesmanship. We should hope that any U.S. president would do the same. (Reporting at the time quoted Sean Spicer saying Trump and Abe discussed coordination of their respective national statements about the missile launch and that that was the bulk of the chat among them and their aides.)

There was no need to do it in a SCIF, in this case. South Korea always reports North Korean missile launches in open press within moments of the event. Trump’s advisors were well aware of that. The entire attention-paying world is going to know about North Korean missile launches very quickly.

The president and prime minister had no reason to go huddle in a SCIF somewhere to receive this update. It would be public knowledge before they even got to the SCIF. No sources or methods would have been compromised by discussing the launch itself briefly but openly at the dinner table at Mar-a-Lago. The account of the event indicates that’s what happened. The level of disruption of a social dinner was quite appropriate to the nature and gravity of the missile launch.

This is all my informed opinion, of course. The actual arbiter of what was the right thing to do in this situation was the duly elected president of the United States, Donald Trump.

    Short stack

Random updates. The first one is about President Biden’s authorization order for up to 3,000 reservists to be called up for duty related to the U.S. posture in Europe vis-à-vis the Ukraine situation.

For the time being, I will just quote some email correspondence I sent on Friday, and add some tweets from Thursday night. The situation – authorizing individual reservists to augment Operation Atlantic Resolve (see below) – is unusual enough to have set off some concern-jangling on Capitol Hill. And the Pentagon did nothing to make the move clearer or more reassuring in a press event Thursday.

But I don’t think this is a move on any rapid timeline (and probably not a move at all) to involve U.S. forces in combat in Ukraine.

    The email quote:

With this order Biden is authorizing deployment of up to 3000 reservists who could be used to augment full, deployed units under Operation Atlantic Resolve. The Op (OAR) was initiated in 2014 by Obama as a measure to bolster NATO within the European Deterrence Initiative. The EDI is the US contribution to a NATO augmentation policy that rotates troops to Eastern Europe over and above the baseline maintained there by NATO.

OAR formalized the US response to the original invasion of Ukraine in 2014 as a named contingency operation with a funding line. It went right past everyone in 2022 that our beef-up in Eastern Europe after the Feb 2022 invasion was done under OAR authority and funding.

This authorization is the first one for selected reserve and individual ready reserve augmentation under OAR. It’s also very vaguely worded as to what the reserves would be deployed for. That’s causing suspicion and concern on Capitol Hill. I’m in wait-and-see mode on whether the concern is justified or not. The Pentagon briefing on Thursday took some questions about it, and the briefers said the order won’t expand the US footprint in Eastern Europe.

    https://www.defense.gov/News/Transcripts/Transcript/Article/3458187/lt-gen-douglas-a-sims-ii-usa-director-for-operations-j-3-the-joint-staff-brigad/

It’s not clear that means exactly what it sounds like, because the forces deployed for OAR now (about 6000 troops) are deployed as units, not grab-bags of individual reservists. A unit (say, a light company-size unit) doesn’t rotate out and get replaced by 250 individual reservists. The unit has an operational mission; 250 individuals aren’t organized for that. Neither the White House nor the Pentagon has explained what the plan is.

That said, we can preview at least that the number of US troops in OAR could go as high as 9000, while there would be no formal addition of operational missions to the beefed-up number. The SELRES and IRR resource pool does NOT include the kind of skill sets that would indicate new combat mission deployments. The reservists could also deploy to support centers in the US (intel, cyber, logistics, etc) as dedicated OAR assets. Some might also go to US and NATO HQ centers in Germany or Italy rather than lower-echelon OAR units. (US Army V Corps is the command unit for OAR, by the way. I think it’s deployed in Lithuania. Have to double check on that.)

We’ll see. Some in Congress are gearing up to press for a fuller explanation on this. The concern obviously is that reservists could be sent to Ukraine in handfuls or onesies; e.g., for “training.”

    Some tweets:

Also this past week, the G7 announced “security guarantees” for Ukraine, apparently in lieu of NATO offering specific ones.

I got a number of off-point responses to my somewhat sarcastic, rhetorical question about this.

(The “Psycho killer” allusion is to a song by the Talking Heads from the late 1970s, for any who may not be culturally aware in that regard.)

In the tweet, I wasn’t asking what guarantees the G7 was offering. Some of the Twitter replies tried to outline them in general.

But I was asking why the G7, which is not a security-guarantees body, was committing its members to a list of security guarantees.

This is how you back into stupid wars while you aren’t paying attention: by running around trying to score optics points through organizations that have no business making implicit commitments. The G7 is a consultative body. It’s not an alliance, with provisions and rules for issuing security guarantees. It exists to talk a good game and put out nice pictures of big-league heads of government in full-frontal cooperation. The more specific its “commitments” get, the less they mean.

If that’s a bad thing, it needs to be fixed consciously and with deliberation. Before signing up to let the G7 start standing in for the NATO alliance, everyone needs to agree that’s what’s happening. And if the G7 issues security guarantees, it had better know beforehand where the force to back them up is coming from.

  10. Political Prisoners in Brazil “Tortured, Humiliated and Threatened with Death” – Chief Serere Held 220 Days for Crime Carrying 180 Day Penalty
    By Richard Abelson Jul. 19, 2023 9:15 am20 Comments

250 patriots remain in prison in Brazil, most without charges or trial for peacefully and patriotically protesting what they see as a stolen election in Brazil. Many were arrested after protests got out of hand Fedsurrection-style in the capital Brasilía Jan. 8, regardless of whether they committed a crime or not. Chief Serere Xavante remains in prison without trial after 220 days, acccused of “Incitement”, which carries a 3- to 6-month penalty.

Prisoners in Brasília are being tortured, humiliated and threatened with death, one writes to his lawyer. “Last week a police officer threatened one of us with death in the cell, said he would kill him and even pointed a gun from what I heard. They were desperate.”

“They told me that besides the death threat that occurred from a police officer last week, yesterday they were subjected to a terrible humiliation,” the prisoner reports. “Patriots were beaten, slapped in the face, and dragged by their ears. They removed their belongings from the cell, threw their soap and toothpaste in the trash.

  11. Orwellian France: Parliament Approves Legislation Opening Door to Mass Surveillance, Making It Easier for Authorities to Spy on Electronic Devices
By Paul Serran Jul. 19, 2023 9:30 am

In a Orwellian turn of events, France is introducing legislation poised to usher in an era of mass surveillance of its population.

The administration of former Rothschild banker and globalist poster boy Emmanuel Macron seems the testing ground for so many nefarious ideas in the Western societies.

After he managed to ‘reform’ the pensions changing the retirement age without a vote in Parliament, and withstanding weeks of hard protests, it seemed like it was just a matter of time until even more dystopian policies were introduced. Well, there you go.

    Associated Press reported:

As Central Banks Stockpile Gold, a Christian Company Helps Americans Get Ahead of the “Retirement Bubble”

“French lawmakers on Tuesday adopted a sweeping justice reform bill that includes a provision to allow law enforcement agents to remotely tap into the cameras, microphones and location services of phones and other internet-connected devices of some suspected criminals.

The measure plainly stipulates that the procedure can be executed ‘without the knowledge or consent of its owner or possessor’ but is limited to suspects involved in terrorism, organized crime and other illegal activities punishable by five or more years in prison.”

The authorization for eavesdropping was included in a reform bill to modernize penal procedures, and bring ‘a faster, clearer, modern justice’.

The National Assembly adopted two ambitious bills Tuesday that were previously embraced by the Senate in May.

The new legislation boosts spending on the judicial system by nearly 11 billion Euros by 2027, in a move that digital rights activists criticized as an invasion of privacy.

“The justice minister [Dupond-Moretti] proposed the high-tech hunt for suspects as an alternative to long-standing police surveillance practices, such as wiretapping a suspect’s vehicle and house, which he deemed no longer viable and increasingly dangerous for investigators.”

‘Why would we deprive ourselves of new technologies?’, asked Dupond-Moretti.

“Besides limiting use of high-tech spying on suspects to crimes punishable by at least five years in prison, the legislation contains other controls. The goal of tapping a connected device must be locating someone in real time, and the investigating judge in a case must give the green light. In addition to activating location services, the measure would also allow investigators to activate a suspect’s phone camera and microphone.”

This new legislation comes after French lawmakers passed a law in April ‘to allow the use of artificial intelligence and drones in mass video surveillance’ during the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

The Macron government is seen as capitalizing on real and reasonable safety concerns to pursue draconian measures, approaching security by surveilling everybody.

    RT reported:

“French MPs in the lower house approved the highly controversial law, dubbed by critics as the French Patriot Act, with a simple show of hands. The bill that was first introduced in April, three months after the spree of terrorist attacks across France, received approval from the legislators in France’s upper house earlier this month.

With their new legal powers French intelligence services may circumvent the need for judicial warrants to use wiretapping and other surveillance methods to gather intelligence from the public.

Private residences could now be monitored using geolocation measures, while mobile communications can be intercepted and web-page visits can be monitored using a complex algorithm that internet providers will be forced to install. Installation of keyloggers to track computer usage in real time will now also be possible.”

Macron is creating a surveillance society ‘where nothing is secret except the surveillance itself’. George Orwell’s ‘Big Brother’ would be proud.

  12. DC Gulag Staff Now Allegedly Using Sleep Deprivation Tactics On J6 Political Prisoner
    By Alicia Powe Jul. 19, 2023 9:00 am44 Comments

Jessica Watkins, an American political prisoner who was sentenced to 8½ years in federal prison for protesting the stolen election at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, is being harassed and mentally tortured by correctional officers in the female maximum security jail of the DC Central Detention Facility, to the point where transgender Oath Keeper and military veteran is inflicting self-harm.

During the Capitol riot, Watkins did not threaten anyone, did not vandalize anything, encouraged others not to vandalize, spoke with several police officers inside the Capitol, and followed their orders.

Wicked U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta sentenced Watkins’ on May 26, a day after he sentenced Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes to 18 years in federal prison and Florida Oath Keeper Kelly Meggs to 12 years.

The activist federal judge would not allow Watkins or her co-defendants to cross-examine the fraudulent fed informants who lied about her during the trial.

  13. REVEALED: FBI Told Supervisory Agent Investigating Hunter Biden to Duck House Oversight Committee Questions
    By Cristina Laila Jul. 18, 2023 10:20 pm204 Comments

The FBI told a supervisory agent investigating Hunter Biden to duck GOP House Oversight Committee questions about the “ongoing” criminal case involving Hunter, according to a letter obtained by the New York Post.

FBI general counsel Jason Jones sent a letter to a supervisory agent warning him to decline to respond to questions by House Oversight Committee lawmakers just days before the agent was set to testify.

The name of the supervisory agent was redacted.

    The New York Post reported:

The FBI warned a supervisory agent who investigated Hunter Biden that he was expected to “decline to respond” to House Oversight Committee questions about the “ongoing” case involving the first son, a bombshell letter obtained by The Post shows.

FBI general counsel Jason Jones sent the letter Sunday afternoon, just hours before the agent was set to testify — even though a source tells The Post that the FBI knew of a scheduled Monday deposition for several days.

“[T]he Department expects that you will decline to respond to questions seeking non-public information likely covered by one or more components of executive privilege or other significant confidentiality interests, in particular information about deliberations or ongoing investigative activity in law enforcement matters,” Jones wrote.

    By Cassandra MacDonald Jul. 18, 2023 7:00 pm152 Comments

A sex toy company CEO has funded a pediatric sex change clinic since 2018.
Pure Romance CEO Chris Cicchinelli founded the “Living with Change Foundation” and began funding the clinic after his then-eight-year-old son began “identifying” as a girl.

Cicchinelli donated $2 million to expand Cincinnati Children’s Hospital’s Transgender Clinic, which helped them to triple their staff and greatly expand.

“Prior to Cicchinelli’s $2 million donation, the clinic only had one nurse, one doctor and one social worker; it has since tripled its staff, been renamed the Living with Change Center (LWCC) and is now a massive operation which boasts of serving more than 800 children and young adults this year alone on its website,” the Daily Caller reports.

  16. Has America Surrendered to Marxism? Reconciliation Memorial Slated for Demolition After House Republicans Fail to Defend Civil War Monument in Arlington National Cemetery
By Shawn Bradley Witzemann Jul. 18, 2023 11:25 am587 Comments

As the Marxist Democrat revolution pushes forward, House Republicans have once again failed to take legislative action, and the Reconciliation Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery is scheduled for demolition no later than January 1, 2024.

An amendment to the 2024 National Defense Authorization Act was recently presented by Representative Bob Good (R-VA).

Unfortunately for defenders of the Reconciliation Memorial, Rep. Good’s addition to the defense spending bill was rejected four days ago in a late-night vote that saw 41 Republicans break away after Armed Services Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R – AL), who spoke in favor of the amendment.

Retired Lt. Col. Ed Kennedy was recently quoted in a press release from Defend Arlington — a coalition of American citizens who oppose the destruction of the Reconciliation Memorial.

  17. Russia Claims State Dept. and Atlantic Council Censor Info on US Biolabs Run by Bill Gates and Hunter Biden-linked Metabiota
By Richard Abelson Jul. 19, 2023 9:45 am

The U.S. State Department is conducting an “active outreach campaign” to “neutralize Russian accusations that US military biologists had violated the provisions of the Biological Weapons Convention,” Russian bioweapons chief Lt. Gen. Igor Kirillov charged in a Russian Defense Ministry presentation July 14.

The International Science and Technology Centre (ISTC) in Astana, Kazakhstan plays a key role in the censorship of claims about US bioweapons in Ukraine, Kirillov charged, together with Wooden Horse Strategies, a U.S. consulting firm in Kiev run by Atlantic Council Eurasia Center senior fellow Brian Mefford.

The contract between ISTC and Wooden Horse “provides for the posting of relevant material at least eight times a month, as well as the monitoring of ‘pro-Russian’ publications on this topic appearing online and promptly responding to them, including blocking access”, Kirillov claimed.

    • Obviously such information is classified. Those who keep asking the questions know they’ll get no satisfying answers. Speculating, they’re just scratching an itch.

Are they at all curious about Russia’s and China’s clandestine biolabs?

  18. Should America Dominate the World?
    By Edward Ring
    July 19, 2023
Forty years ago, during the final decade of the Cold War, nobody had any illusions about America being perfect. Without wallowing in the topic, we all knew our nation had ongoing social and economic problems, and that our history was filled with examples of oppression. But for most Americans, understanding the grim reality of life for people living in the Soviet Union provided clarity. It was understood that no country is perfect, and compared to the USSR, living in America was paradise.

The argument that America, by a wide margin, is the lesser of two evils, does not get the traction today that it got during the Cold War. But there is no justification for its diminished relevance. Despite alarming new challenges to the rights and freedoms of American citizens, the gap between America and its contemporary rivals, Russia and China, is as wide as it’s ever been. And in the case of China, the magnitude of the threat they now pose to American global leadership is far more than anything the USSR could have once posed.

These considerations give rise to a pair of sobering questions: First, is China an expansionist nation, committed to growing powerful enough to dominate the world and impose its vision of human rights onto all of humanity? Second, before we level well deserved criticisms on American foreign and domestic policies, shouldn’t we compare these policies to those practiced by the Chinese government? Forty years ago, those questions mattered. Today, we need to revisit these questions.

Does China Intend to Dominate the World?

China is committed to an expansionist strategy. In just the last century, an era during which Western powers were relinquishing their claims to foreign colonies, China has annexed Inner Mongolia, Tibet, and Xinjiang. The Chinese have absorbed Hong Kong, cracking down on human rights they had pledged to uphold. They have lopped off chunks of Indian Kashmir as well as the northern portion of Indian state of Assam. The Chinese openly declare their intention to absorb the independent nation of Taiwan. They’re even claiming virtually all of the South China Sea, in defiance of every other bordering nation.

China’s expansionist tensions with neighboring nations and Borg like assimilation of the occupied nations within its borders should provide clues to how it treats all its citizens. China’s population is more than 90 percent comprised of the Han ethnic group, and they are probably the most surveilled, micromanaged population on earth. Any dissent that deviates from the collective is immediately suppressed.

One may go on endlessly about allegedly parallel encroachments on the rights of Americans to express dissent, but it isn’t remotely comparable to what Chinese people go through. The regime of Xi Jinping has turned China into the world’s biggest prison camp, with nearly 1.4 billion inmates. Law enforcement extends well beyond criminal behavior to “social behavior,” where not just what you do, but what you say, what you think, and how you worship are all strictly regulated.

China’s economic aggression is well documented and points to an unavoidable conclusion; nations that do business with China are going to be systematically robbed of their technological edge and their financial stability. According to Fortune, one in five corporations say China has stolen their intellectual property in the past year. Estimates of how much this costs the U.S. economy range as high as $600 billion per year.

China’s economic war with the United States has been unrelenting. Over the past 25 years the cumulative U.S. trade deficit with China is nearly $6 trillion. China retains some of its trade surplus with the U.S. in the form of debt, currently an estimated $1.6 trillion.

Another way China is expanding its economic reach and influence in the world is through the “Belt and Road Initiative,” a modern version of the ancient Silk Road connecting East to West. In theory this is a laudable series of infrastructure projects linking China with trading partners across Asia, Europe, Africa and beyond with a series of highways, railroads, and modernized seaports. But participating nations are realizing that Chinese investment carries a high price.

The way China intends to control the railroads and seaports being built across this new Silk Road is by using the so-called debt trap. This is a practice whereby China lends billions of dollars to an economically weaker country for them to construct infrastructure. Chinese firms then pour in materials and labor to build the project, which means the Chinese loan funds are repatriated right back into Chinese hands. Then when the debtor nation can’t afford to pay back the loan, the Chinese seize ownership of the project as collateral.

An article published by the Washington Post provides an extensive list of nations already victimized by China’s infrastructure debt trap. They include Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Montenegro, Myanmar, Nepal and Pakistan. Some of these projects involve debt nearly equal to the entire GDP of the host nations. In many cases, Chinese-only gated communities are constructed, sometimes entire cities, swarming with Chinese security forces.

China’s economic imperialism is also reflected in its global buying binge. Using the savings generated from their huge trade surplus, China is buying companies and real estate all over the world. The United States is one of the only nations in the world that allows foreign companies to purchase controlling interests in U.S. companies, and China has taken full advantage of that. Michele Nash-Hoff, writing for Industry Week, posed this question: “Did we let the USSR buy our companies during the Cold War? No, we didn’t! We realized that we would be helping our enemy. This was pretty simple, common sense, but we don’t seem to have this same common sense when dealing with China.”

American Globalism – The Alternative to China

The evidence that China is an expansionist nation is overwhelming. In addition to China’s territorial aggression and predatory economic policies, there are the precedents of history. Throughout recorded history, expansionist empires have risen and fallen. Across all continents and through the millennia, regardless of geography or ethnicity, empires have fought wars of conquest. Today is no different. America will rise to the challenge of China, or China will dominate the world. And this gives rise to the second question: How do America’s foreign and domestic policies compare to China’s, and how can they be better calibrated to unite Americans and set an attractive example for people in the rest of the world?

Only in this context can the American government’s current cultural priorities and globalist ambitions be fairly evaluated. Most American conservatives will agree that a month-long display of gay pride flags in front of every government building in America and every embassy America has in foreign nations, is pushing the woke narrative to ridiculous extremes. But compared to what? Compared to the Iranian regime hanging homosexuals from construction cranes? The Ugandans making homosexual acts subject to the death penalty?

Conservative Americans have ample reason to criticize the way establishment institutions, certainly including the federal government, have pandered to the extremist wing of the LGBTQ+ lobby. That the cultural pendulum will swing back to some more universally tolerable position is quite likely, and soon would be better. But which is worse? Nations where homosexuals are executed, or nations where activist gender extremists are overly indulged?

America’s Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, meeting with Chinese diplomats in Alaska two years ago, was criticized for acknowledging American imperfections, saying “we have the humility to know that we are a country eternally striving to become a more perfect union.”

Blinken, and his boss, Joe Biden, may be leading America down a perilous path. But Blinken was right to acknowledge that America is “eternally striving to become a more perfect union.” The debates we are having in America over identity and equity may be tedious and threatening, and with good reason, but it’s a process at work in American society today that is unthinkable in China. America’s rival in the world is a fascist police state. For all of its flaws, and for all of its dangerous drift into decadence, America is a better place to live than China. The existential importance of that fact should not be lost on anyone, whether they are woke malcontents or appalled conservatives.

Moving towards a more perfect union will not be easy. Restoring colorblind meritocracy and reestablishing reasonable gender norms will take time, but is probably inevitable. The woke have simply gone too far. An even greater threat to a desirable Pax Americana, however, concerns how America’s establishment is responding to the “climate crisis.” Current policies, designed to stifle development of hydroelectric, nuclear, and natural gas sources of energy, are guaranteed to weaken America and alienate the world. They will impose a tyranny of surveillance and rationing in developed nations, and they will cause chaos, poverty, and endless war in developing nations. They are outrageous and will drive nonaligned nations into alliances with China.

It may be that the greatest test of American democracy in the 21st century will be whether or not the cabal of oligarchs that have hijacked America’s energy policy can be overcome by a media that has finally come to its senses and a population that awakens from its brainwashed stupor. Without adequate supplies of energy, civilization will falter and individual freedom will die. Claiming that adequate energy can be delivered worldwide exclusively via wind and solar power, without also relying on hydro, nuclear, and natural gas is a blatant, misanthropic, opportunistic lie. This lie, unchallenged, will fatally undermine the credibility of American leadership in the world.

Answering the question “should America dominate the world” requires recognition of an immutable prerequisite: If America does not, someone else will. And for all of its many flaws, some of them horrifically and even murderously misguided, when compared to empires of the past and rivals in the present, America’s empire is remarkably benevolent. That fact used to matter, and it still does. We would do well to embrace it, even as we work towards something better.

On Wednesday, at least 25 to 30 IRS agents in tactical gear raided a business along Southeast Slater Street in Stuart, Florida, Fox 29 reported.

The raid, which began around 9:30 a.m. on July 12th, saw agents entering and leaving the premises of Tee Off Temps and Elite Payroll Solutions, each time laden with boxes and large backpacks.

The agents with their clothing branded with “Police, IRS, Criminal Investigation,” shocked local witnesses.

“There’s at least 25, 30 cops out here,” said one witness.

“It was like a scene from a movie, it was like what! Then they all started coming out. They had the big gear, tactical gear because they probably didn’t know what they were walking into,” said one witness, who chose to remain anonymous.

“They were taking boxes in, filling them up and bringing them out, all kinds of big backpacks,” the witness added.

These actions suggested a large-scale investigation or operation, with extensive documentation possibly being seized from the offices.

The agents were seen going in and out at Tee Off Temps and Elite Payroll Solutions, both located at 3180 Southeast Slater Street, an industrial area between A1A and Southeast Federal Highway.

IRS Criminal Investigation Special Agents were confirmed to be part of the operation, according to a written statement by Darline Toussaint, IRS Special Agent and Public Information Officer for the agency’s Miami field office.

“IRS Criminal Investigation Special Agents were at the address of Elite Payroll Solutions on 7/12/2023 on official business,” said Toussaint.

Despite the extensive operation, local residents expressed surprise. Witnesses reported that there was usually limited activity at the office and no noticeable suspicious behavior leading up to the raid.

“Never, it’s just the workers. You see them in the morning, but there’s nobody coming and going in that place,” the witness told WPTV.

WPTV News contacted the IRS for further details, but the IRS has yet to disclose the exact nature of their official business. The search warrant served is still under wraps.

The Gateway Pundit reached out to Elite Payroll Solutions for a statement, but the company declined to provide any comments.

“You can’t call back here again,” said one of the employees.

  20. Just months after a Biden-appointed regulator teased a ban on gas stoves, the administration is working to enact a rule that would prohibit the manufacturing of nearly all portable gas generators on the U.S. market.

A proposed Consumer Product Safety Commission rule limits the amount of carbon monoxide a product can emit, with the commission admitting that 95 percent of portable gas generators on the market cannot comply with its new standard. As a result, industry leaders say, the rule will prompt widespread generator shortages, as manufacturers only have six months to design generators that meet the proposed regulation. That process normally takes years, Portable Generator Manufacturers’ Association executive director Susan Orenga told the Washington Free Beacon.

The rule proposal comes just months after Biden-backed commissioner Richard Trumka Jr. teased a similar regulatory ban on gas stoves, which he called a “hidden hazard.” It also comes as many Americans face an increased risk of power outages as the country increasingly relies on green energy to produce its electricity. A whopping two-thirds of North America faces an “elevated risk” of power blackouts this summer, a leading grid watchdog found in May, a vulnerability that stems from America’s increase in green power generation and decrease in fossil fuel power plants. California, for example, saw power outages in the summer of 2022 as electricity demand surged.

  21. You’re always asking for our opinions Vlad. To be honest I don’t watch or read everything on the website. As a senior my brain will only take so much and I like to keep things simple. There’s enough at that level to see that something is wrong with our government.
I was at a Conservative rally the other night; I know you’re not in favor of Poilievre, but from listening to him, I can tell you he would make a far better Prime Minister than Justin Trudeau. One thing he said was that he would ban any of his MP’s from joining the World Economic Forum. Looking around the internet I see many signs of hope from people who are standing up to the zeitgeist.
There’s a film being shown now called “Journey to Freedom,” about the human trafficking of children. I haven’t seen it, I think it would give me nightmares. I read about some of the things they do to these children and it is completely evil. I couldn’t go see the film but I did buy tickets. Someone told me that the people making the film are involved in rescuing children, so at least my money will help in a small way.
I don’t think we should be so overwhelmed by evil that we think there is nothing we can do.

    • EW, I would not want to see that film either. Thank you for buying the tickets, in doing do, you have fought back. Don’ let Justine Trudeau get you down, he is a clown, a disgrace as far as I’m concerned. Stay strong, and remember there are an awful lot of people who have your back. I often ask people out in the street what they think of Justine —my polling numbers are nowhere near what Nanos, CBC, CTV or any of the other collaborators tell us. Keep on the sunny side.

Keep in mind Max Bernier is a Conservative man who held some pretty portfolios. he is not in favour of WEF, abortion, vaccines, vaccine mandates, lockdowns, climate clowns. He is worthy of the PMs job.

An anonymous IRS whistleblower will testify to the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday to reveal what they witnessed during the years-long investigation into Hunter Biden.

At least two IRS whistleblowers have come forward to reveal Hunter Biden received preferential treatment throughout the mop-up operation disguised as an investigation.

Whistleblower “X” will say that Hunter Biden “should have been charged with a tax felony, and not only the tax misdemeanor charge,” and that text messages reviewed by investigators “may be a contradiction to what President Biden was saying about not being involved in Hunter’s oversea business dealings.”

MTG brought the receipts showcasing Hunter Biden’s criminal behavior with prostitutes, possibly involving him in human trafficking violations.

  23. Odessa Port Heavily Bombarded by Drones and Missiles in Worst Attack of the War – Russia Obliterates Ukrainian Infrastructure on the Black Sea

The failure of the grain deal (undermining the bridge) will result in huge financial losses for Ukraine. And the strikes on the Black Sea ports are tied into it.

It was the most powerful attack on the city since the beginning of the Russian Special Military Operation in Ukraine.

From what can be gathered from Ukrainian sources, the Russian combined arms attack included around 32 Iranian UAV ‘Geranium’, 16 Calibre Missiles, 8 X-22s, 6 hypersonic Onyx missiles and one X-59 flew across the skies of Ukraine.

VIDEO: watch insane footage of missile strike in Odessa.

  24. Fed Whistle-blower invokes God and his husband in passionate testimony to prosecute tax violators equally. (When did we move the needle on credibility?)

    • Exactly, I guess. Does the needle now require gay testimony of a conservative position in order to be legitimized? Will we need an apostate to testify against Islam before the truth of Islam is confirmed? (There is a novel in this idea, alone.)

  25. ‘El Pollo’ Carvajal Extradited to US for Drug Trafficking: Former Venezuelan Espionage Chief Holds Secrets That Can Destroy Latin American Leftist Regimes
    By Paul Serran Jul. 19, 2023 4:12 pm62 Comments

The Spanish national court, charged with extradition matters, made a decision that may have a broad impact in the Latin American geopolitical landscape.

By ordering on Tuesday Interpol to ‘immediately deliver’ Hugo Carvajal to US authorities, Spanish judges may have lit the fuse than can set leftist regimes on fire throughout Latin America.

‘El Pollo’ (the chicken} Carvajal was stripped of his General rank in Venezuelan Counter-Intelligence by Maduro’s administration after he made the failed political bet of coming out in support of the US-supported opposition leader Juan Guaidó as Venezuela’s acting president, in February 2019.

Carvajal was finally arrested in Madrid in September 2021, on a drug trafficking Interpol search warrant.

    Reuters reported:

“The former head of Venezuela’s military intelligence, Hugo Carvajal, who is wanted by the United States on drug trafficking charges, has left Spain under a High Court extradition order, his lawyer and a court source told Reuters on Wednesday.

Carvajal is expected to arrive in the United States later in the day and could make an initial court appearance on Thursday morning, his lawyer, Zachary Margulis-Ohnuma, said.”

The Spanish court ordered Carvajal’s immediate extradition after the European Court of Human Rights rejected his last attempt to avoid being sent to the US.

Carvajal was Chavez’s eyes and ears within Venezuela’s military for more than a decade, and he knows many secrets about the continental socialist movement in Latin America.

“The United States in 2020 accused Carvajal of drug trafficking, along with more than a dozen other high-ranking Venezuelan officials, including President Nicolas Maduro. Carvajal has denied supporting cocaine trafficking to the United States.”

The European court of human rights ended up rejecting his appeal against extradition to the US, arguing it was not proven he faces a ‘real risk’ of ‘being sentenced to life imprisonment without chance of parole’.

    The Guardian reported:

“Gen Hugo Armando Carvajal, who served as intelligence chief under the former Venezuelan leader Hugo Chávez, has long been sought by US Treasury officials who suspect him of providing support to drug trafficking by the now disarmed Farc guerrilla group in Colombia.

Prosecutors in New York allege he used his high office to coordinate the smuggling of approximately 5,600kg (12,345lb) of cocaine from Venezuela to Mexico in 2006 that was destined for the US.

Known by the nickname “El Pollo” – the Chicken – the 63-year-old is also suspected of potentially having incriminating evidence against the Venezuelan president, Nicolás Maduro, Chavez’s successor and a major adversary of the US.”

But ‘El Pollo’ holds secret over more than just Venezuela’s strong man. A whole network of people in power indebted to the Bolivarian socialists exists in the region.

    Tupi Report on Telegraph:

“[T]he European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ‘is convinced’ that he will be tried in ‘a judicial system that respects the pre-eminence of the law and the principles of a fair trial in which he will have full opportunity to organize his defense with a lawyer’.”

The veteran spy hopes to reduce eventual prison sentences by sharing his many secrets over this scheme. Than can cause a conflagration in some of the most revered socialist Latin leaders.

    FoxNews
“The former head of Venezuela’s Secret Service, General Hugo Armando Carvajal […] sent a seven-page letter to Spanish judge Manuel García-Castellón in which he recounts details of a scheme to finance left-wing parties in Latin America and Europe by the governments of Hugo Chávez and Nicolás Maduro.

[…] Carvajal cites as “concrete” examples of beneficiaries of the financing scheme: [Brazilian] President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva; Néstor Kirchner in Argentina; Evo Morales in Bolivia; Fernando Lugo in Paraguay; Ollanta Humala in Peru; Zelaya in Honduras; Gustavo Petro in Colombia; the Five Star Movement in Italy; and the Podemos party in Spain.”

And it’s not just well-informed ‘hearsay’: he claims to have proof of the existence of this scheme to finance left-wing parties by the Venezuelan government.

    FoxNews
“I have informants who have witnessed different stages of this network. I asked my lawyers to contact them while I was in prison to ask if they would be willing to attest to my testimony, and some said yes about agreeing to testify before a judge.”
