Rep. Burchett to Newsmax: Secret Service ‘Destroyed’ WH Cocaine Bag, DNA
Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., told Newsmax on Monday the Secret Service “destroyed” the bag containing cocaine at the White House and does not have enough DNA evidence to identify who may have left it there.
“[The Secret Service] don’t even have the key from the locker [where the cocaine was found] and they said originally ‘we didn’t find enough DNA, now, and they went back and said, ‘we didn’t find any DNA,'” Burchett said during “The Chris Salcedo Show” on Monday, discussing a briefing on the controversial drug find and resulting probe. “Apparently, they destroyed the bag and any chance of getting any DNA.”

Massachusetts Governor Calls on Residents to House Illegal Aliens in Their Guest Rooms

Democrat Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey is calling on residents to consider housing illegal aliens in their guest rooms.
The so-called “host family strategy” is being put in place to combat the growing homeless population in the state, many of whom are not citizens.
WBUR reports, “The state’s new Family Welcome Center in Allston is tasked with recruiting, vetting and onboarding host families, as well as pairing them with the families in need.”
“This has previously been a practice among Resettlement Agencies and other volunteers who work to support new arrivals,” Gov. Healey’s press secretary Karissa Hand said in a statement about the strategy.
The center opened in late June, and it remains unclear how many migrants have already been placed in people’s homes. The report explains that the state has also not explained the vetting process for hosts — or the illegal aliens that they are being asked to house.
“The addition of this layer — of adding in host homes — really seems to be because of the urgency and current unmet needs,” said Kelly Turley, associate director of the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless, according to the WBUR report. “This is something that they could get online very quickly if host families and hosts come forward.”
“We know that longer-term shelter and permanent housing would better meet the stability, safety, and service needs of newly arrived immigrants,” Turley said.
In November, former Governor Charlie Baker said that DC’s “inability” to stop the influx of migrants into the US would cost his state $139 million.
“Massachusetts’ emergency shelter system provides support for thousands of families each year, but a recent uptick in new migrant arrivals, coupled with a strained housing market have led to a need for greater capacity across the system,” said Governor Baker in a statement at the time.
Baker said the increase in migrants is “unfortunately driven by the federal government’s inability to address our country’s immigration challenges.”

What is the Russian Military Doing?

I think the Russian Special Military Operation is kicking into a new gear and that the United States and NATO are mystified and confused about Russia’s next steps. We do have a couple of clear benchmarks — the end of the grain deal, which means Russia is likely to take more aggressive actions in shutting down maritime traffic in the Black Sea that could benefit Ukraine, and the latest terrorist attack on the Kerch Bridge in Crimea. President Putin left no doubt that there will be a massive retaliation for the latest Ukrainian attack on Russian civilians.
Russia appears to be employing a micro-version of Sequential Operations, which was a center piece of the Soviet plan that defeated the Nazi armies during World War II:
The concept of sequencing operations to achieve campaign objectives is not unique to AirLand Battle doctrine. M.N. Tukhachevsky, in his manuscript New Problems in Warfare describes the historical development of the notion of sequencing battles to achieve the objectives of a war. In it, Tukhachevsky attributes to the changing nature of the battlefield the need to sequence operations. According to Tukhachevsky, operational art during the period of Napoleon principally involved the function of “deploying” forces to permit maximum combat power to be brought to bear in a decisive battle. Toward the end of the Napoleonic period there arose the need to conduct several battles in order to create the pre-conditions for the decisive battle of the campaign. Waterloo is an example of such a campaign. Subsequent to Napoleon, armies increased in size, weapons became more destructive, and the dimensions of the battlefield increased in width and depth. The ability of an army to destroy an opponent in one decisive battle vanished. Both the American Civil War and World War I clearly demonstrated this. In 1926 Tukhachevsky commented further that:
“The nature of modern weapons and modern battle is such that it is an impossible matter to destroy the enemies manpower by one blow in a one day battle. Battle in a modern operation stretches out into a series of battles not only along the front but also in depth until that time when either the enemy has been struck by a final annihilating blow or when the offensive forces are exhausted in that regard, the modern tactics of a theater of military operations are tremendously more complex than those of Napoleon and they are made even more complex by the inescapable condition mentioned above: that the strategic commander cannot personally organize combat.
This was written almost 100 years ago but is prescient as hell. Tukhachevsky’s wisdom is still relevant and seems to explain what is happening along the 800 mile line of contact in Ukraine.

The Prigozhin-led attack aimed at Moscow on June 24th was a near disaster for Putin. The Russian leader was moved out of Moscow as a security precaution. Loyal forces, including Chechens, Presidential Guards and police, were moved in to protect the Defense Ministry in Moscow, Prigozhin’s main target.
Prigozhin apparently believed that key leaders in the army, aside from Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu and Chief of Staff General Valery Gerasimov, would support his takeover, purge the defense minister and chief of staff, and put Prigozhin and, perhaps, Surovikin in charge of Russia’s armed forces. Putin would be handed a fait accompli. Either he could accept the change or, in Prigozhin’s view, he would be replaced. Prigozhin saw himself as Russia’s power broker and, depending on how things turned out, perhaps Russia’s new President.
Putin, it seemed, also was unsure about the loyalty of the army. That uncertainty was no doubt prompted by concern over General “Armageddon,” Sergey Surovikin.
Surovikin, who served as a special consultant to Prigozhin and Wagner, was extremely angry with the army’s leadership. Surovikin had been Commander in Chief of Russia’s armed forces from October 8, 2022 until January, 2023 when he was replaced by Valery Gerasimov. Surovikin was given the vague title of Deputy to Gerasimov, and while allegedly keeping the job, became a special consultant to Prigozhin. The humiliation of Surovikin, dished out by the “old guard” in the Army, no doubt led him to strongly back Prigozhin. Both of them made their move after the Bakhmut victory.
I want to remind you that you can be friends with someone and not always agree with them. My experience with Steve is that he gives an honest assessment based on the facts available to him. He may be right about his assessment of Prigozhin and Surovikin, but I have a different view.
I have an alternative hypothesis for Wagner and Surovikin. Let’s start with Wagner. It is a creature of the GRU, which I think means it is used for psychological operations as well as conventional military ops. It has limited military capability because it is primarily light infantry. My understanding (and I could be wrong) is that it depends on the Russian Big Army for artillery, armor and air support. Yet many in the media and the Biden national security team assign an exaggerated importance to Wagner. In my opinion Wagner is the squirrel running around in my back yard and my dogs are barking like crazy as they focus on the critter’s every move. Wagner is like a chess piece doing a dance in a strip club — peeling off layers of clothing and lingerie while the West leers lasciviously.
The Russian intel officers can see and read that the West is obsessed with Wagner — ascribing to it almost magical combat powers. That leads me to believe that public information released about Wagner is deliberate and part of a broader masking operation. Moving Wagner to Belarus and focusing on its “new” leadership will have the effect of forcing Ukraine and NATO to bolster forces and defenses on the northern front. I continue to believe this is part of a maskirovka op to convince the West of a narrative that will force NATO to shift forces towards Belarus and away from other parts of the battlefield where Russia intends to strike in force.
I also think there is deliberate manipulation of the Surovikin narrative as well. When Prigozhin started his feckless mutiny, Surovikin was very quick out of the box with a video supporting Putin and warning the Wagnerians to essentially hold fire or risk destruction. At no point during that 24 hour drama did Surovikin shit on Gerasimov or the chain of command. Now that he has “disappeared” a narrative has emerged in the West that is having similar Wagnerian effect on the intel analysts and planners. It was Surovikin who saved the Russian Army from being trapped in Kherson. I think the Russian military leadership is using Surovikin to persuade the West that he is no longer a threat worth worrying about. Gerasimov could be using Surovikin to promote the meme that chaos reigns in the leadership of the Russian military.
Meanwhile, there is a marked uptick in Russian air operations and missile strikes. That is Surovikin’s command, or at least was his command. The fact that his family is not raising hell on social media or using surrogates to raise hell further convinces me that his supposed “absence” is part of a broader deception operation.
I want to give a belated kudo to U.S. Army Major Russell J. Goehring, whose description of Tukhachevsky’s novel view of modern war caught my attention. The Russians are not in the grip of chaos and uncertainty. I suspect the views of Tukhachevsky is a key part of the foundation of the Russian Special Military Operation.

A new head for Wagner has been selected. He is Andrei Troshev, a highly decorated Russian army veteran, a colonel, 70 years old, who played a major role in Syria where he was directly involved in military operations. His nom de guerre is Grey Hair.

The cofounder and éminence grise of Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has disappeared.
On June 29th Russian President Vladimir Putin held a Kremlin meeting with about 30 Wagner commanders, including Prigozhin. (General Sergey Surovikin, another missing player, did not attend the June 29th meeting.) This three hour-long meeting, according to the Kremlin, came with an offer from Putin. He is reported to have said: “All of [the Wagner’s] can gather in one place and continue to serve and nothing will change for them. They will be led by the same person who has been their real commander all this time.” That person, Putin said, was “Sedoy,” the Russian word for Grey Hair.
In reply, Prigozhin said “No, the guys do not agree with this decision.”
Prigozhin’s reply effectively terminated his control of Wagner. After the meeting, either on June 4th or 5th, Russian police and the FSB (Russia’s successor to the KGB) raided Prigozhin’s large estate in St. Petersburg.
Different reports popped up, some saying that Prigozhin had come to his mansion in St. Petersburg in a limousine to pick up his money and guns that were seized previously. Another report had him reporting to FSB’s offices in St. Petersburg, doing the same thing. But in both cases these were rumors and no eye witnesses came forward.
It seems, in retrospect, that these stories and others were designed to keep Prigozhin’s actual fate under wraps.

On June 24th, as Wagner forces moved toward Rostov on Don, Surovikin made a self-serving video claiming that the invasion was wrong and that the Wagner forces should return to their bases. There is a presumption that this video was made to avoid any future prosecution, if the Prigozhin-led coup d’état failed. In late June Surovikin’s daughter allegedly told Baza, a Telegram channel, that Surovikin was working from home and had not been detained. Subsequently, Surovikin’s wife reported that her husband had not come home.
According to the Wall Street Journal and other outlets, Surovikin was detained along with thirteen other army officers.
Disposition of Wagner Forces
It is now known that some Wagner forces are in Belarus training regular army forces there. Andrey Kartapolov, who chairs the Russian parliament’s defense committee, said: ‘It is clear that Wagner went to Belarus to train the Belarusian armed forces. There is such a place as the Suwalki Corridor. Should anything happen, we need this Suwalki Corridor very much. A strike force is ready to take this corridor in a matter of hours.” Poland has been massing forces along the border with Belarus, causing alarm in Minsk and Moscow. Foreign advisors, including the British, are now serving as technical aides to Polish forces at the Belarus border, signaling to Russia that the real issue might be a NATO initiative to bail out Ukraine by attacking Belarus, forcing Russia to divide its forces.
The Suwalki Corridor is a 96 km strip of land that connects the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad to Belarus. While Kaliningrad can be supported by sea or by air, the land bridge is important to assure normal communications. There are both roadway and rail links. This land strip is Polish territory on one side, and Lithuanian on the other.
Suwalki or Suwalski Corridor
Last year the Lithuanians blocked shipments along this route, which they lifted after the Russians threatened serious consequences. The Corridor is also thought of as a weak link for NATO since it is the only NATO land connection to the Baltic states from Poland and from Europe. Other than airlift, this is the land route NATO needs to support these countries.
According to Indian Punchline, “In an interview in the weekend, the CDU’s leading foreign and defence expert Roderich Kiesewetter (an ex-colonel who headed the Association of Reservists of the Bundeswehr from 2011 to 2016) suggested that if conditions warrant in the Ukraine situation, NATO should consider to “cut off Kaliningrad from the Russian supply lines. We see how Putin reacts when he is under pressure.”
On July 6 the Russians flew a Tu-214SR and two Su-30M fighter jets in international waters near Kaliningrad and on to Russia. They were met by British Typhoons who flew from Estonia to shadow them. The Tu-214SR is known as the Russian “Doomsday” plane. It is a mobile command and control platform with an extensive multi-intelligence payload.
The Tu-214SR was likely in the area reporting on Polish and NATO operations close to Belarus and Kaliningrad. The Russians regard Kaliningrad of great strategic importance and are sensitive about developments that may threaten the enclave.
The US position on these developments is not known, but what is clear is that Ukraine is now taking heavy losses and may be on the cusp of losing the war with Russia.
There have been a number of negative reports coming from the Pentagon including Ukrainian Chief of Staff Valerii Zaluzhny, trying to rethink the failed Ukrainian offensive.
Africa
It appears that the deployment of Wagner forces in Africa is being normalized. Around 200 Wagner troops, in effect a normal rotation, have now arrived in the Central African Republic. They were flown there by COSI ( Commonwealth of Officers for International Security), a Wagner affiliate, on military helicopters. Earlier reports that there was a purge of Wagner forces in Africa appear to have been wrong and confused a force rotation with a purge.
Strategic Issues
The Ukraine war is part of a proxy battle between NATO and Russia. While there are indeed subsidiary issues important to the main combatants, for example the Russian-speaking population of Ukraine, NATO built up Ukraine’s forces before the Russian invasion to have sufficient force to take back key territories in the Donbas and Crimea. The NATO buildup was part of a plan to bring Ukraine into NATO and strategically isolate Russia.
The Russians countered the NATO plan by forcing the issue of the Ukrainian army buildup by openly invading Ukrainian territory. But before Russia sent its forces over the border, the Russians tried to engage Washington and NATO in a diplomatic process aimed at sorting out Russia-NATO and Russia-US issues. The effort took its most mature form in December, 2021, but it failed as both Washington and NATO refused the Russian initiative.
The issue of bringing Ukraine into NATO is still unresolved, even after the latest NATO summit in Vilnius. The Summit itself had hopes of declaring victory in Ukraine and even foresaw the overthrow of the Russian government. There were secret talks with key Russian figures, including Prigozhin. But the Prigozhin coup failed and the Russians successfully fended off the long-awaited Ukrainian offensive. Ukraine suffered very high casualties and the initial loss of at least 20% of the Western equipment sent there to win the fight. Systems such as the German Leopard tank and the American Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, were unsuccessful and an embarrassment. Worse than that, the battle (still ongoing) revealed that systems and tactics designed to protect NATO from Russia were inadequate and based on a number of erroneous assumptions about war fighting.

It is far from clear that any gambit to try and save Ukraine by widening the war to Belarus would succeed and could put Europe into a general war on its territory. NATO is not prepared for war now. The failures in Ukraine amply illustrate that. While it may be true that NATO can muster superior airpower, it would have to fly against effective Russian air defense systems and Russian fighter aircraft. But the big war would be on the ground, and NATO can’t fight that war now, possibly never.
Will Washington, using its proxy Poland, attack Belarus to try and save Ukraine?
Wagner forces are now risen from the ashes and Prigozhin and Surovikin are gone. If the Chairman of the Duma’s Defense Committee is right, those forces are prepared to take the Suwalki corridor if Poland starts a war with Belarus.

I don’t know how much to trust either of the authors, their conclusions seem to make sense but that doesn’t mean much.

One clarification: Yes, Putin wants to stay in power. AND he’s an accomplished killer.
_BUT – there’s a fine point here.
1) Losing power would be the least of Putin’s worries if he were seen to be responsible for mass losses of “our heroes”. Babushkas would tear him to shreds with their teeth and nails.
2) Brad isn’t aware of Putin’s personal obsession with ethnic Russian demographics. That’s what’s behind insufficient mobilization. Westerners muttering domino threat either don’t get it or choose to lie.
PMCs are a workaround. They attract an antisocial element with weak personal ties. They’re paid a lot, and their insurance needs are covered for life. Only a minority has close kin. Those families get a one-time, lump-sum death benefit.

On June 27th, the Biden administration finally released over 1,000 documents pertaining to JFK’s assassination in accordance with the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act.
Despite releasing several previously hidden documents the Biden administration at the midnight hour ultimately decided to postpone releasing all of the classified documents.
Most of the documents released by the Biden administration were already well-known public knowledge however there are some gems hidden in some of the newly declassified files.
One document, which was a CIA memo of a meeting with President Johnson on December 6, 1963, reveals agents told the president that “The Soviet Intelligence Service, on orders from Moscow, was attempting to stimulate communications from India to him, Chief Justice Warren, and the Attorney General, urging a full probe into the assassination of the President.”

The Illinois Supreme Court upheld the Pretrial Fairness Act provision of the Safety, Accountability, Equity, Transparency-today Act, meaning that cash bail will be eliminated in Illinois in 60 days, a massive win for criminals.
The elimination of cash bail in Illinois was set to go into effect on Sunday, January 1, 2023, but the state’s highest court halted the reform.
Democrats in Illinois passed a new law to eliminate the cash bail system. The new law aimed at reforming the state’s criminal justice system.
This will result in the release on no bail while awaiting court date of those accused of certain felonies, such as “second-degree murder, aggravated battery, and arson without bail, as well as drug-induced homicide, kidnapping, burglary, robbery, intimidation, aggravated DUI, aggravated fleeing and eluding, drug offenses and threatening a public official.”

For those of us who have been trying to awaken people to the true nature of Republicans in the senate, aka “the Decepticons”, the latest self-admissions are very welcome.
According to interviews conducted by The Hill, several Republican senators are now saying they just cannot be members of the Republican Party if they are forced to represent the interests of the base voter. These very specifically named Republicans have always been members of the UniParty in DC; however, now they are saying “populism” amid the commonsense, America First voting base is not going to be acceptable
The senators are openly warning that if putting American interests first is going to be demanded by the voters, these Republicans will just become Democrats. There is no reason for Americans to distrust the institutions the Republican senators support, and there will be no compromise or discussion.
What is making these Republican senators angrier is that who they consider to be intellectual and professional people are also demanding a more populist approach toward a government that represents the people. This is just not going to be allowed according to Lisa Murkowski, John Thune, John Cornyn and the other names outlined.

GOP senators rattled by radical conservative populism

Republican senators say they’re worried that conservative populism, though always a part of the GOP, is beginning to take over the party, becoming more radical and threatening to cause them significant political problems heading into the 2024 election.
GOP senators are saying they’re being increasingly confronted by constituents who buy into discredited conspiracy theories such as the claim that Democrats stole the 2020 presidential election or that federal agents incited the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Growing distrust with government institutions, from the FBI, CIA and Department of Justice to the Centers for Disease Control and National Institutes of Health, make it more difficult for Republican lawmakers to govern.
Republican senators believe their party has a good chance to take back control of the White House and Senate, given President Biden’s low approval ratings and the favorable map of Senate seats up for reelection, but they regularly face political headaches caused by populist members of their party who say the rest of the GOP is out of step with mainstream America.
“We should be concerned about this as Republicans. I’m having more ‘rational Republicans’ coming up to me and saying, ‘I just don’t know how long I can stay in this party,’” said Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska). “Now our party is becoming known as a group of kind of extremist, populist over-the-top [people] where no one is taking us seriously anymore.
“You have people who felt some allegiance to the party that are now really questioning, ‘Why am I [in the party?]” she added. “I think it’s going to get even more interesting as we move closer to the elections and we start going through some of these primary debates.
“Is it going to be a situation of who can be more outlandish than the other?” she asked.
Some Senate Republicans worry the populist winds are downgrading their chances of picking up seats in 2024.
There are an astonishing number of people in my state who believe the election was stolen,” said one Republican senator who requested anonymity to talk about the growing popularity of conservative conspiracy theories at home.
As an example, some Republicans point to Arizona, where Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (Ariz.), an independent who left the Democratic Party last year, is up for reelection.
Sinema is likely to face a challenge from the left in the likely Democratic nominee Rep. Ruben Gallego (Ariz.) as well as a GOP nominee. If that nominee is former TV anchor Kari Lake, who has embraced conspiracy theories about elections and lost a gubernatorial race last year, many in the GOP think they’re in trouble.

Speaking to reporters, Rep. Greene labeled the reports as “absolute bullsh-t,” and painted them as a smear campaign by Democrats designed to overshadow alleged wrongdoings by Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.

DEVELOPING: American Soldier Captured By North Korean Forces – Crossed Border Without Authorization and Has Reportedly Defected to North Korea

United States officials have confirmed that one of their soldiers was detained in North Korea this morning. He has also reportedly defected.
CBS News reported that the soldier in question is Private 2nd Class Travis King. Before his detainment, he was being escorted back to the United States from South Korea for disciplinary reasons.
The illegal crossing reportedly occurred at 3.27pm local time (2:37 AM ET) according to the Daily Mirror. King was visiting the Military Demarcation Line (MDL) at Panmunjom with a civilian tour group before leaving their sight.
The MDL marks the border between North and South Korea. The line is surrounded by a demilitarized zone and is one of the most heavily guarded areas in the entire world.

Health Canada Executive Debates Ivermectin’s Effectiveness for COVID-19 Before Labour Board.
During the recent Labour Board hearing, a senior Health Canada official defended her department’s decision to recommend against using ivermectin to treat Covid-19, while public service employees fighting the vaccination mandate said its use could have saved lives and billions of dollars.
A key argument among those who opposed mandatory Covid vaccination was that alternative and yearly treatments existed to combat the infection but were suppressed by health authorities intent on vaccinating as many people as possible.
Questions along that line were posed to Dr. Celia Lourenco, acting associate assistant deputy minister with Health Canada, during hearing of Federal Public Sector Labour Relations and Employment Board July 13.
The board is making its first adjudication of grievances from the public servants who were placed on leave without pay and denied employment insurance benefits for not complying with the mandatory vaccination policy in force from October 2021 – June 2022.
“Do you remember CBC calling ivermectin a horse dewormer” asked Bernard Desgagne, who is representing grievous Slim Rehibi, adding that the anti-parasitic drugs discoverers were awarded he Nobel Prize in the category of “Physiology or Medicine” in 2015.
Dr. Laurenco said she wasn’t aware of either fact. The official, who has a PH.D., in pharmacology, had final authority for the approval of Covid-19 injections, but wasn’t in charge of regulating drugs like ivermectin or Hydroxychloroquine.
Mr. Desgagne, who is also a public servant and not a lawyer, put to Dr. Lourenco that ivermectin has been dubbed a “ wonder drug” with “remarkable effectiveness” and an excellent safety profile.
She replied that the drug is approved for human and animal use in Canada but to treat worms, she said. “And it is quite effective at that, to treat parasites.”
Satoshi Omura, one of Ivermectin’s discoverers has used the term “wonder drug” to describe it, writing in a scientific paper in 2011 that it was used free of charge as the “ sole tool” in campaigns to eliminate tropical diseases River Blindness and Lymphatic Filarisis. he noted that it is effectively in treating many other diseases as well.
It has been used to successfully overcome several other human diseases and new uses for it are continually being found, says the paper. Ivermectin was first introduced as a veterinary drug but was later expanded to humans.
Mr. Desgagne noted that the drug was being offered free of charge for those diseases at the time, whereas the Federal Government spent billions on the mRNA injections.
Canada spent approximately 5 billion on Covid-19 vaccines between Dec 2020 and May 2022, the Auditor General reported last year.
Mr. Desgagne cited from Omura’s paper to argue for ivermectin’s broader usage, but Dr. Lourenco repeated that it’s only authorized in Canada to treat worms in people and animals.
However, she agreed that once a drug is authorized, physicians are able to prescribe it for off-label use, but she warned that to measure the efficacy of a drug, clinical trials should be conducted.
Clinical Trials
Mr. Desgagne asked Dr. Lauren o if she was aware that over 20 clinical trials have been conducted since the start of the pandemic. She said she was aware of the “many” trials but she didn’t have an exact number.
Mr. Desgagne cited from a scientific paper published in New Microbes and New Infections in early August of 2021, which looked at randomized clinical trials and meta-analyses, and assed ivermectin to be effective in reducing mortality related Covid-19.
Dr. Lourenco said she was not able to comment without looking at the findings more closely, and having the paper reviewed by her biostatistics team to access the credibility.
“There are other meta analysis that have been conducted that have concluded that ivermectin is not beneficial to Covid-19”, she said.
In August of 2021, Health Canada issued an advisory warning of “potential serious health dangers”, of using veterinary ivermectin to prevent or treat Covid-19. It advises against using human versions as well, saying there is “no evidence that ivermectin in either formulation is safe or effective when used for those purposes.”
Mr. Desgagne called the advisory “fairly radical” and in “huge contrast” with the finding in the scientific paper he referenced.
Dr. Lourenco said she was not involved in issuing the advisory, but explained it was done to remind people and not to take veterinary ivermectin. “We were fulfilling our role as regulator”, she said.
She added that the advisory indicates there was no evidence to support the use of ivermectin and that more recent meta-analyses continue to conclude that the drug is not beneficial against Covid-19.
One such study published by the Cochrane Library in June 2022 said the evidence is “conflicting”.
Based on the very low-certainty evidence for inpatients, we are still uncertain whether ivermectin prevents death or clinical worsening or increases serious adverse events, while there is low-certainty evidence that it has no beneficial effect regarding clinical improvement, viral clearance, and adverse events”, it says.
Another study published in the American Journal of Therapeutics in April 2021 went entirely the other way.
Meta-analyses based on 18 randomized controlled treatment trials of ivermectin in Covid-19 have found large, statistically significant reductions in mortality time to clinical recovery, and time to viral clearance”.
Conflicting Claims
Public Health Authorities and media have come out against using ivermectin to treat Covid-19, but debate appears unsettled.
CBC wasn’t the only major media to refer to ivermectin as “horse dewormer”. after famous podcaster, Joe Rogan said in September 2021, he used ivermectin to treat his Covid infection, multiple CNN hosts said he was using a livestock drug.
That’s the message that Health Canada’s U.S equivalent was sending at the time. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) posted a controversial tweet in August
2021 to advise against the use of ivermectin.
“You are not a horse. You are not a cow. Seriously y’all. Stop it.”, it said, providing a link to an FDA web page presenting similar information as Health Canada. The FDA said it had received multiple reports of people being hospitalized for using ivermectin intended for horses.
Health Canada did not report such issues, but said it was occurring in the U.S.and provided the same FDA web page link.
THE FDA maintains that the available data do not show that ivermectin is effective against Covid-19.
A previous review by Epoch Times shows that out of the studies the FDA relies on to demonstrate the ineffectiveness of ivermectin, half show that it is actually effective.

Why do businesses even bother trying to operate anymore in the People’s Republic of San Francisco?
The Daily Mail reported Tuesday that shoplifting crimes have now reached such startling heights in the city that grocery stores are now resorting to desperate measure including chaining their freezers shut to stop criminals from cleaning out their places of business.
Betty Yu, a local CBS affiliate reporter, shared video showing the doors in the frozen foods section at a local Walgreens locked. The New York Post reported that shoppers need staffer assistance to purchase the products.
Yu’s video goes on to show other rows of products, including household goods, cosmetics and snacks, locked behind plastic barriers on the shelves as well. She also drops a shocking statistic: thieves have been cleaning out ALL the pizza and ice cream at least 20 TIMES a day.
Another user posted a photo showing a padlocked ice cream freezer at a CVS. He had arrived at the store to purchase medicine and noted that he also saw police car on scene.
The stores are not stopping with just padlocking freezers and household goods, though. A local resident revealed she has witnessed stores that have not closed in her neighborhood are locking their bathroom doors.
Are thieves now stealing toilet paper and soap?
The San Francisco Standard reports that workers are quitting because they are tired of constantly unlocking items and carrying them to the checkout for customers.
Here is what one worker, David McDowell, told the outlet:
It’s just too much. Having to bring things to the front was a game changer.
Every day, it’s like this.
None of this should come as a shock. The Gateway Pundit reported last month that Safeway and other local grocery stores in Vallejo installed metal emergency gates to combat out-of-control shoplifting.
Fox Business reported that property crime has risen by 10.4% since last year. Shoplifters often come armed with bats and other weapons to carry out their despicable crimes.
This is what happens when you elect far-left Democrat officials and pro-crime district attorneys. Businesses will continue to struggle and eventually die in San Francisco as long as leftists remain in power.

Newly Unearthed Information About the Presidential “Football” Reveals Details of Emergency Planning at the Highest Levels of Government

While the United States continues its controlled descent into madness under the leadership of President Joe Biden, newly unearthed information about past executive-level contingency powers provides a deeper understanding of what Americans could expect in the event of a national emergency.
William Burr, a senior analyst at the nonprofit National Security Archive, today published a report that explores the previously unknown documentation — providing multiple clues about the contents of the famed presidential “Football” — that for decades has remained hidden away from the public.
Burr’s brief further explains:
“Since the late 1950s, U.S. military personnel traveling with the President have carried a special case known variously as the ‘satchel,’ the ‘black bag,’ the ’emergency actions pouch,’ and, as it is perhaps best known, the ‘Football.’ Epitomizing presidential control of nuclear weapons, the Football and the military aides who carry it enable the President to make decisions about the use of nuclear weapons in the event of a sudden military crisis.”
The declassified documentation provides a rare glimpse into the details of executive orders known as Presidential Emergency Action Documents (PEADs) through communications from numerous high-level government officials, including Edward A. McDermott, who served as Deputy Director of the Office of Civil and Defense Mobilization throughout the 1960s.
According to McDermott, the purpose of the documents held safely in the Football was “to clothe the President with formal emergency powers,” even though at least some were of “doubtful legality.”
Among the contingency powers with questionable legality were the suspension of habeas corpus, the declaration of martial law, and the authorization of mass arrests and even arbitrary detention.
The documents illustrate a decades-long debate between White House officials who were “worried about the status of the PEADs.”
Among those whose communications are now public are former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski, Reagan’s NSA Director William Odom, and even President Carter’s second cousin, Hugh Carter, Jr., who expressed that the PEADs were “obsolete given the total devastation which could be expected from a thermonuclear attack on the US.”
The many concerns among White House officials seemingly led FEMA in 1980 to turn over updated documents to the White House to be included in the new and improved Football.
But while much light has now been shed on the nature of the ultra-secret emergency planning in previous decades, it remains unknown if the many concerns about constitutional legality were ever completely resolved.
With President Biden’s deteriorating mental capacity on full display while his administration pushes America ever closer to the brink of nuclear conflict, it becomes a disturbingly reasonable possibility that plans from the Football could be put into action.
And considering news that President Trump may soon be put behind bars, all bets are off for the future of the United States Constitution.
