Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

    Copper is called Dr. Copper in the money world because it he is best at diagnosing economic trends via its demand or lack thereof. You will also hear gold analysts personifying that element by saying things such as “…gold is sensing a change…” However gold being far less an industrial commodity feels only the financial pulse.

    Hence, copper analysts must have a finger on the pulse of the world in order to survive. Here is one who sees the world through his specialty in all of its current geopolitical and economic glory. He sees an expanded Uke war, the end of Germany as we know it, a deep recession or even depression, he touches on the CCP fraud that is Chinese prosperity (a half-million EV’s bought and parked to hide lack of domestic demand), a roller coaster ride for interest rates, a repeat of the dust bowl of the 1930’s, and finally a clearing of the clouds heading into the 2030s.

    The Gateway Pundit reported in May that, while Chicago burns with rampant crime and violence, the City Council approved $51 million in aid for illegals.

    WLS now reports that most of those funds, $47 million, will be used to pay for a national staffing firm that provides personnel at shelters receiving illegals arriving in the city.

    Social unrest spread like cancer across French cities for a fourth consecutive night, with hundreds of buildings and vehicles set ablaze. President Emmanuel Macron’s government struggled to contain the violence, which was sparked on Tuesday after a teenager was shot dead by a police officer.

    In an update on Saturday, France’s Interior Ministry said 2,500 fires were reported overnight. Rioters set fire to 1,350 vehicles and 235 buildings nationwide. About 1,300 people were arrested, while the government mobilized 45,000 police officers with armored vehicles to quell the violence.

    According to The Telegraph, French police said they were “at war” with “savage hordes of vermin” on Friday night. The country’s top police unions threatened revolt unless Macron’s government restored law and order.

    “Today the police are in combat because we are at war. Tomorrow we will enter resistance and the government should be aware of this,” police unions said.

  10. Supreme Court Ends the Last Vestige of ‘Systemic Racism’ in America

    On Thursday, the U.S. Supreme Court issued the greatest majority opinion ever written by Chief Justice John G. Roberts. That one-time Obamacare savior, who in 2012 rewrote the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate as a “tax” in order to salvage President Barack Obama’s signature domestic policy, this time penned a landmark ruling abolishing something the Left has been clamoring to abolish ever since the 2020 death of George Floyd and the subsequent “Great Awokening” that rocked the republic: “systemic racism” in America.

  11. Toronto 18 terror plotter granted full parole after 14 years in prison.

    One of the main conspirators behind the foiled 2006 Islamist attack in Toronto was granted a release from prison of full parole.

    The Parole Board of Canada judged that 47 year old Shareef Abdelhaleem doesn’t pose a risk to society any longer and has allegedly shown enough progress in a deradicalization program to end his correctional supervision.

    Abdelhaleem was a software engineer who joined a group of Jihadist extremists known as the Toronto 18, who planned to detonate vans filled with explosives at the Toronto Stock Exchange, a military base near Toronto and he CSIS headquarters.

    They also wanted to decapitate the then Prime Minister, Stephen Harper. The plot was uncovered by an undercover RCMP operation and Abdelhaleem was arrested in 2006.

    He was convicted in 2011 and sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 10 years. Abdelhaleem spent 14 years in a Quebec prison, where he received de-radicalization counselling and claimed to have renounced his radical views. (LOL)

    Two parole conditions are: he is prevented from holding any position of leadership in religious organizations and prohibited from any association with those involved in criminal or radical movements.

    Biden’s “Normal”: The President’s Constitutional Takes are Becoming More Unhinged from History
    The decision of the Supreme Court to end the use of race in college admissions was not unexpected. Indeed, the rulings in cases involving Harvard and the University of North Carolina ended decades of muddled 5-4 decisions. Yet, President Joe Biden seemed to go into full attack mode and actually claimed that the Court gutted the constitutional guarantee that “all men and women are created equal.” In declaring that this Court was not “normal,” Biden further insisted that these admissions decisions and the Dobbs abortion decision reversed the gains that “we fought a war over in 1860” to secure.

    In an interview on MSNBC’s “Deadline: White House,” President Biden accused the Court of ignoring what “the Constitution says: We hold these truths to be self-evident, all men and women are created equal, endowed by their creator.” That is actually a reference to the Declaration of Independence, but it was the substance of the point that was so baffling.

    In barring the use of race in admissions, the Court believed that it was protecting that very guarantee. It erased what the Court viewed as a glaring anomaly in its cases in the treatment of racial discrimination in education as opposed to employment. It was the capstone opinion for Chief Justice John Roberts who in 2017 declared: “The way to stop discrimination on the basis of race is to stop discriminating on the basis of race.” In 2006, Roberts added: “It is a sordid business, this divvying us up by race.”

    The Court was enforcing what it saw as the “self-evident” guarantee referenced in the Declaration and later protected in the Fourteenth Amendment. The Court reaffirmed that all men and women are created equal and will be treated equally in both education and employment.

    The President is not alone in such hyperbole. Figures like Whoopi Goldberg actually asked whether the decision means that we are “heading to no women in colleges soon? Who knows.”

    We actually do know. An opinion rejecting the use of racial classification to determine who goes to college could not be read by anyone as endorsing the exclusion of other groups.

    The truly baffling statement was Biden’s claims over the Civil War. By leaving questions like abortion to the states, Biden claims that the Court was reversing what was gained in that war. The criticism came in response to an opinion insisting that there is no place for racial discrimination in higher education. That would hardly seem an argument that would be embraced by the Confederacy.

    President Biden has long taken liberties with our constitutional history. Many of us have repeatedly objected to claims that he has made in areas like the Second Amendment. One of his most repeated lines is that the Second Amendment was passed with the understanding that certain guns would be banned and adding “You couldn’t buy a cannon, when in fact the Second Amendment passed.”

    That happens to be utterly false. Yet, even after the Washington Post declared Biden’s understanding of the Second Amendment to be false, he has continued to make the same false assertion over and over again.

    Now Biden has moved on to the Civil War and his revisionism is about as subtle as Sherman’s scorched “March to the Sea.”

    The Civil War did not end federalism or states rights. It denied the right of the states to secede and ultimately fulfilled the pledge to equality first made in the Declaration of Independence.

    One can have good-faith disagreements on whether the use of racial criteria is constitutional affirmative action or unconstitutional racial discrimination. However, Biden is belittling our prior struggles for equality with these sweeping and erroneous claims.

    In his interview, the President also insisted that one has to “look at how it’s ruled on a number of issues that are — have been precedent for 50, 60 years sometimes, and that’s what I meant by not normal.”

    In reality, the Court’s decisions on affirmative action in education have been muddled and conflicted for decades. In 1977, in Regents of the University of California v. Bakke, the Court barred affirmative action in higher education. However, it allowed some consideration of race as part of a holistic admissions process.

    In the decades that followed, the Court remained sharply divided. By 2003, the Court was ready to issue the very decision that it issued this week. However, in Grutter v. Bollinger, then-Justice Sandra Day O’Connor supplied the fifth vote to uphold the use of race by the University of Michigan. Yet, O’Connor wrote that the court “expects that 25 years from now, the use of racial preferences will no longer be necessary to further the interest approved today.” That was roughly 20 years ago.

    It is also ironic to hear the President bewailing the reversal of precedent since the greatest advance in racial equality was the reversal of Plessy v. Ferguson and the doctrine of “separate but equal.” That was the governing precedent from 1894 to 1954, but few denounced the Supreme Court for reversing the precedent in Brown v. Board of Education. It was a decision to eliminate different treatment on the basis for race.

    This Court did indeed overturn long-standing cases but these have long been areas characterized by closely and fiercely divided 5-4 and plurality decisions.

    The President also asserted that “the vast majority of the American people don’t agree with a lot of the decisions this court is making.” The majority clearly opposed the Dobbs ruling, but that is not the case on the affirmative action ruling. Polls have consistently shown (including this week) that the majority of the public does not support the use of race in college admissions. Indeed, even in the most liberal states like California, voters have repeatedly rejected affirmative action in admissions.

    We should have a robust and passionate debate over these issues. Yet, a president should be seeking to facilitate that dialogue rather than distorting and weaponizing our shared history. It is a continuation of his prior declarations that members of Congress opposing his election reforms to block state laws are voting with “Jefferson Davis” and the Confederacy. Despite the laws in states like Georgia being upheld as constitutional, Biden declared them a return to the “Jim Crow” South based on distorted accounts of those laws. The claim was again historically and legally ridiculous even if one opposed these state laws.

    We should not allow the President’s constitutional and historical distortions to become, to use his description of the Court, “normal.” We have fought hard to address the scourge of slavery and racism in our country. That struggle is continuing but we cannot address those problems in the future by distorting our past.

  14. The other day I criticized Kurt Schlichter for being a new Never Trumper because he tweeted, “Trump can’t win because 53% of Americans will never vote for him and he will lose the key states he needs to win the electoral college.”

    54% did not vote for him in 2016. He won.

    Schlichter also wrote, “Trump presents problems and we need to face them. We owe Trump nothing. He’s a politician.”

    We owe Trump plenty. He lost billions serving as president, both in actual losses and money he could have made had he stayed on the porch.

    A reader pointed out that Schlichter said he would vote for President Trump in the general election — after trying to kneecap him in the primaries. That will be too late because the damage will have been done. We must unite behind The Donald because if they can crush him, they will crush us all.

    For all Schlichter’s schooling (he’s a lawyer) and all his experience (he’s a retired infantry officer) he has not learned the lesson of 2020, which is that our constitutional republic ended with the end of the Trump presidency on January 20, 2021. Marxists won by any means necessary. The electoral process was demolished by crooked ballot harvesting, late-night switcheroos and a judiciary that refused to look at evidence and stop the steal.

    President Trump was our last hope and now is our only hope of restoring a republic that protects individuals from the ravages of a government so powerful and ubiquitous that the communists in Red China now envy our totalitarianism. And it will get worse.

    The J6 show trials for insurrection — daring to challenge the results of a fixed election — are but one example.

    Gateway Pundit reported, “A 69-Year-Old Grandma with Cancer Given More Prison Time for Walking Inside the U.S. Capitol than Hunter Biden for Sharing Classified Documents with Foreign Regimes and Multi-Million Dollar Bribery Schemes.”

    The judge sentenced her to 60 days for trespassing in a public building — after the Capitol Police opened the doors for her.

    Others received sentences of years. People who were not even in Washington on that day were charged and convicted.

    We do not have a two-tiered criminal justice system because we do not have a criminal justice system because Department of Justice seeks vengeance, not justice. We have given the federal government great powers that exceed its constitutional authority.

    The FBI lied and spied on Donald Trump at the behest of Barack Hussein Obama. Based on the FBI lies, judges issued warrants to allow the spying on a political opponent. Democrats learned from Nixon and Watergate. When it comes to spying on a political opponent don’t rely on bumbling amateurs who will get caught. Trust only the pros.

    Parents who rebel against public school indoctrination are targets of the Biden vengeance squad. Merrick Garland — bitter over the refusal of Republicans to confirm his nomination as a Supreme Court — targeted Moms for Liberty for destruction because he wants to thwart any attempt by suburban moms to challenge federal government decrees to promote anti- white and anti-straight curriculums.

    The media supports this.

    NPR said, “More than two years into a conservative push against teaching about Black history, literature and gender identity in public schools, the Southern Poverty Law Center has concluded that a dozen so-called ‘parental rights’ groups behind the movement are extremist.

    “The civil rights organization particularly focuses on the largest of these, the nonprofit Moms for Liberty, in its annual Year in Hate & Extremism report for 2022, saying that it advances an anti-student inclusion agenda.

    “The SPLC has put it and similar organizations on its list of anti-government extremist entities, drawing comparisons between them and parent groups that attempted to re-segregate public schools during the civil rights movement.”

    The SPLC is a bigoted group of liberals whose purpose is to demonize effective conservative groups. Citing them shows NPR no longer is subtle in its bias.

    I remember when hippies were anti-government. They are in control. They are doing everything they falsely accused Nixon of doing 50 years ago. I voted for McGovern. Older and wise, I regret that vote because Nixon truly was the one. He was done in by Mark Felt of the FBI who was bitter at being passed over to succeed J. Edgar Hoover, who was the Fauci of law enforcement.

    Now Trump is the target.

    Garland appointed as Trump’s prosecutor Jack Smith, who lives in the Netherlands.

    Newsweek explained, “Newly appointed Special Counsel Jack Smith is married to a documentary filmmaker who worked on a 2020 film about former first lady Michelle Obama and donated to President Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign.”

    The media hailed this Jack S as a tough prosecutor. He’s a courtroom assassin.

    Monica Showalter explained, “This from the guy who led a prosecution that was so flawed against Republican Gov. Bob McDonnell that the Supreme Court, on an 8-0 vote, threw it out, and the Department of Justice declined to retry him? If there were something there, they should have been able to retry him, but there were significant problems with the whole costly mess, which in any case, got them what they wanted: the ruin of McDonnell’s political career, even though he was guilty of nothing. That’s a political prosecution.”

    Republicans don’t play hardball. They don’t even play softball.

    The Jack S is a triple crown player.

    Showalter said, “Worse still, Smith was the actual instigator to the IRS’s attack dogs, led by the infamous Lois Lerner, who fired the starting pistol for the IRS’s persecution of Tea Party groups in 2012, delaying their applications for nonprofit status, subjecting them to bizarre searches and seizures, an admitted abuse of power, which they later claimed to have apologized for, which was easy to do because the political aim of the delays had been accomplished: swinging the 2012 election to Obama. Smith gave the go-ahead, undoubtedly doing the bidding of his boss at the time, one Barack Obama, whose wife Smith’s wife made an adoring documentary about.”

    She wrote that last November.

    Where was the Republican outrage? In fact, where are those January 6 tapes Joe Blow McCarthy promised? Where are the expulsions of Schiff and the liars and spies in the House who pushed RussiaGate?

    Trump supporters — mocked by deserters as Only Trumpers — are loyal because there is no alternative. Without him, we will be caught in the next wave of imprisonment.

    Politico said, “he is also the politician about whom two things can be said:

    “One, his personal and public life makes a mockery of the Christian ideals of evangelical voters.

    “And, two, he is the person who has delivered more policy victories for these same voters than any other president.”

    Who the heck is some writer in Sodomton DC to determine what evangelicalism’s values are? Trump delivered. Abortion is no longer a right; states will determine if it is legal.

    But the publication reflects the alternate reality DC Republicans live in. Consider this missive from Newsmax:

    “Former Texas congressman Will Hurd, a onetime CIA officer and fierce critic of Donald Trump, announced on Thursday that he’s running for president, hoping to build momentum as a more moderate alternative to the Republican primary field’s early front-runner.”

    CIA. He’s Egg McMuffin Jr. Don’t worry, conservatives. The intelligence community will determine what you stand for.

    Opposing Trump is signing one’s death warrant. The Mickey Mouse but deadly indictments made that clear. The only way to end the madness is to re-elect President Trump. DeSantis and Vivek cannot show the world that we mean business. Need I have to quote Martin Niemöller to get the point across?

    OK. I will.

    First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

    Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.

    Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

    Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

    Americans had a choice in 2016.

    We have none next year. It is Trump or else. I like DeSantis and wish him well, but after this last indictment, I realize there is but one way to win our nation back from our own federal government.

    Chief Justice Roberts scolded the liberal justices for demonizing the conservative majority for its decisions.

    The Supreme Court on Friday crushed Joe Biden’s unconstitutional student loan bailout plan.

    Liberal justice Elena Kagan wrote a nasty dissent attacking the conservative majority arguing they exceeded “the permissible boundaries of the judicial role” in its decision.

    Peoria, Arizona – The Independent Journal Review (IJR) reported Saturday that a brave man took on an entire school board in Arizona completely destroying their sick transgender bathroom policy. He also showed how woke society contributes to crimes by trans individuals.

    The IJR notes this incident occurred at the Peoria Unified School District board’s June 8 meeting. Weeks before the scheduled meeting, they voted to allow biological males to use girl’s bathrooms.

    An Arizona man named Benjamin Larrabee, a project manager of the group Turning Point USA, stepped up to the podium and read the woke board members the riot act. Larrabee called them out on their lies regarding the new policy’s “safety” and dropped several examples of sick trans students harassing and assaulting innocent girls.

    Larrabee did this while waving news articles at the school board members. He literally brought the receipts.
