Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. Clinton-Appointed Judge Rules Taxpayers Must Fund Florida Sex Changes Through Medicaid — Including for Minors

    US District Judge Robert Hinkle, appointed by Bill Clinton, has ruled that taxpayers must fund sex changes in Florida through Medicaid — including for minors.
    The same judge partially blocked enforcement of the state’s ban on sex changes for minors earlier this month.

    Judge Hinkle’s 54-page ruling was littered with his liberal political beliefs.

    In a section titled, “Gender identity is real,” Hinkle wrote, “The elephant in the room should be noted at the outset. Gender identity is real. The record makes this clear.”

    “Any proponent of the challenged rule and statute should put up or shut up: do you acknowledge that there are individuals with actual gender identities opposite their natal sex, or do you not? Dog whistles ought not be tolerated,” Hinkle continued.

      A pair of academics affiliated with York University believe that allowing parents to opt out their children from drag storytime events is a “dangerous setback for 2SLGBTQ+ human rights education.”

      Writing in the Toronto Star, Beyhan Farhadi, a fellow at York’s Institute for Research on Digital Literacies, and “community educator”/York M.Ed student Joy Henderson say the Toronto School Board’s decision to allow opt-outs from the “family-friendly” activity “sends a message that [queer] rights are debatable.”

      Farhadi (pictured) and Henderson, both “queer parents,” point out the Toronto board previously had declared — in opposition to an allegedly “discriminatory” parental rights declaration — that “no student can be exempted from Human Rights education.”

      The district didn’t even permit religious exemptions.

      They accuse the board of now “prioritiz[ing] the comfort of right-wing ideologues committed to maintaining gender norms and binaries.”

      “It is no more acceptable to allow students to opt out of events representing 2SLGBTQ+ culture, history and identities than it is to allow students to opt out of events representing the diversity of race, ancestry, ethnicity, and ability,” the authors write. “The history of modern drag in queer culture is one that — like all discriminated groups — has been subject to policing and criminalization.”

      As former TDSB students, we witnessed queer and trans peers who were out relentlessly bullied for their identity. We experienced the struggle of hiding parts of ourselves in a climate of fear and social punishment. As parents, we demand a better world for our children. Despite progress, too many students struggle to feel free, represented, and affirmed in schools.

      The TDSB has a duty to ensure its school communities are working toward being safer spaces for all students to learn. Given the current climate of transphobia and homophobia, school board employees and trustees need to be resolute in the task of protecting students who are often multiply marginalized and under-represented. They cannot compromise their vision and mission to pressure from those whose beliefs trample on the human rights of vulnerable groups.

      According to her Twitter bio, Farhadi is a “queer anti-capitalist anti-racist” and “feminist killjoy.” Her personal website notes she’s an “advocate for a fully-funded anti-oppressive public education system” and is a member of the Critical Geographies of Education group (which “attend[s] to how co?constitutive ordering systems, such as racism, sexism, and colonialism, shape and are shaped by schools”).

      Henderson, an “urban Queer Black Lakota,” recently retweeted one of the most racist Twitter accounts on the platform and claimed she “still has to deal with white women asking [her] for service” while out shopping:

    The next time some liberal tells you radical-left LGBTQ individuals want nothing to do with your children, just share this story with them.

    The Daily Mail reported that drag queens and trans activists marched through the East Villages Tomkins Square Park during the annual New York City Drag March on Friday with hundreds in attendance.

    Timcast shared a particularly vile incident where several marchers can be heard chanting: “We’re here, we’re queer, we’re coming for your children” for several seconds. One topless female is dancing while making the chant while others laugh and join in.

    As suddenly as the tensions in Russia have risen, they now seem to have subsided, after a Belarusian-brokered deal was reached between the Russian government and rogue PMC Wagner CEO Evgene Prigozhin, that occupied cities and even sent a small force to ‘march’ on Moscow.

    Kremlin says Putin acted “to avoid bloodshed and internal confrontation with unpredictable results.”

    Prigozhin stated that he had decided to retreat to avoid “shedding Russian blood.”

    The deal entails that Prigozhin will essentially be exiled in Belarus, and reportedly his PMC will patrol the frontier with Poland.

    Wagner troops are heading back to their field camps in Ukraine, where they have been fighting alongside Russian Army soldiers.

    Associated Press reported:

    “The rebellious Russian mercenary commander who ordered his troops to march on Moscow before abruptly reversing course will move to neighboring Belarus and not face prosecution, the Kremlin said Saturday, as part of a deal to defuse a crisis that represented the most significant challenge to President Vladimir Putin in his more than two decades in power.

    The charges against Yevgeny Prigozhin for mounting an armed rebellion will be dropped and the troops who joined him also will not be prosecuted, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced, and fighters from his Wagner Group who did not take part in the uprising will be offered contracts by the Defense Ministry.”

    While Ukrainian forces did not take advantage of the chaos in the Russian read to gain any territory, President Zelensky, looking very rough, was quick to take to the media to bash the Russians in his usual fashion.

    What’s happening to Zelensky?
    “Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said late Saturday, shortly before Prigozhin announced his retreat, that the march exposed weakness in the Kremlin and ‘showed all Russian bandits, mercenaries, oligarchs’ that it is easy to capture Russian cities ‘and, probably, arsenals’.

    Switching into Russian in his daily video address, Zelensky said “the man from the Kremlin” was “very afraid.” He repeated his calls for the West to supply Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets and ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles.”

    There’s an ongoing mystery regarding the reasons behind Prigozhin’s seemingly erratic behavior, and what would have been the terms struck to make him stand down.

    The simplest most obvious reason seems to be that Wagner had refused to sign the contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense and was likely under ultimatum pressure.

    Shoigu may be about to be ousted.
    As for the terms arranged, one of the possible scenarios mentioned by many analysts is an upcoming the resignation of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov, which were ostensibly the Prigozhin targets in his campaign.

    ‘Neither Shoigu or Gerasimov have been seen anywhere during this entire episode nor have made any public statements, while other top generals have.’ Shoigu is apparently a widely disliked figure in Russian society.

      Rogue CEO of PMC Wagner, Evgene Prigozhin, was able to get troop columns within 125 miles of Moscow and reports suggest U.S. spy agencies reportedly obtained intelligence in mid-June of the “armed action” against Russian establishment.

      The Gateway Pundit reported that the Prigozhin turned his troops around and is going back to bases and taking other steps to de-escalate tensions with the Russian Ministry of Defense.

      A Belarusian-brokered deal was reached between the Russian government and Prigozhin with the Kremlin saying Putin acted “to avoid bloodshed and internal confrontation with unpredictable results.”

      Prigozhin stated that he had decided to retreat to avoid “shedding Russian blood.”

      Fox News reports:

      The Washington Post reported Saturday, citing several U.S. officials, that Prigozhin even warned the White House and other U.S. agencies of his plot “so that they were not caught off guard.”

      The officials said senior leadership at the Pentagon, State Department, and in Congress were briefed on the intelligence within the past two weeks, though the exact timing of Prigozhin’s plot had remained unclear up until the Wagner leader’s takeover of military command and tank run toward Moscow Friday and Saturday.

      There was reportedly “high concern” in Washington over the potential prospects of what would become of Russia’s nuclear arsenal if President Vladimir Putin was removed from power and if there would be “civil war” in Russia.

          Hacker Kim Dotcom has offered his take on the “Wagner Coup” in Russia, intimating that Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin may have collected billions from the CIA to stage a coup, and then aborted the coup.

          Several observers such as Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene have speculated the Wagner Coup may have had US backing (Gateway reported).

          On Saturday, Kim “Dotcom” Schmitz had offered his explanation of the background of the inner-Russian strife:

          This started as a power struggle between Prigozhin and (Russsian Minister of Defence Sergei) Shoigu. In the beginning of the Special military operation Shoigu and his team made mistakes and Prigozhin became of strong critic of Shoigu. Prigozhin then had success in Bakhmut with Wagner Group presenting himself as a better military leader than Shoigu.

          In my view Shoigu then provoked Prigozhin by limiting ammunition supplies to Bakhmut resulting in Wagner Group losses and a strong reaction from Prigozhin. Many of you have seen the video of Prigozhin attacking Shoigu and the Russian military leadership.

          Ammunition deliveries were restored and victory in Bakhmut was achieved but the video outburst by Prigozhin was likely counterproductive for him because the Kremlin and senior political leaders in Moscow saw him as a loose cannon who can’t be trusted. Prigozhin doubled down predicting a massive loss for the Russian military claiming that it was not ready for the Ukrainian counter-offensive. He claimed that the Russian troops are badly equipped and poorly managed by Shoigu.

          With the Russian military successfully repelling the Ukrainian counter-offensive Prigozhin had played himself into a corner and his time was running out because Shoigu and his Generals delivered a major victory for the Kremlin. In my view the actions by Prigozhin are an act of desperation because he has lost the power struggle against Shoigu and is likely facing serious retaliation.

      • Johnnyu I don’t know what is happening, they theory that they played the CIA ignores the fact that 39 Russians were killed in the copters. The only other theory I have seen is that Putin is loosing control and there is a scramble for control of various national and private military units.

      Russian agents’ threat to family made Prigozhin call off Moscow advance
      Details offer clue as to why Wagner Group abandoned coup attempt that revealed ‘real cracks’ in Putin’s authority

      Russian intelligence services threatened to harm the families of Wagner leaders before Yevgeny Prigozhin called off his advance on Moscow, according to UK security sources.

      It has also been assessed that the mercenary force had only 8,000 fighters rather than the 25,000 claimed and faced likely defeat in any attempt to take the Russian capital.

      Vladimir Putin will now try to assimilate Wagner Group soldiers into the Russian military and take out its former leaders, according to insights shared with The Telegraph.

      The analysis offers clues into the mystery of why Prigozhin, the Wagner Group leader, called off his mutinous march on Moscow on Saturday just hours before reaching the capital.

      There remains speculation about what formal deal was struck, if any. The Kremlin said on Saturday that Prigozhin would head to Belarus in exchange for a pardon from charges of treason.

      There has been no comment from Prigozhin over the suggestion. It also remains unclear if Sergei Shoigu, the Russian defence minister, is set to be demoted or fired, as Prigozhin demanded.

    “Everybody Needs to Back Off!”: The Media and Political Figures Continue to Ignore the Biden Corruption Scandal
    Below is my column in the New York Post on the new allegations from whistleblowers of interference with the Hunter Biden investigation. This weekend, there are reports that, after the threatening WhatsApp message allegedly from Hunter Biden, a Chinese businessman with close ties to Chinese intelligence sent $5 million to his account.

    In the meantime, the demand from figures like former Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) for people to “back off” on the story is being heeded by some in the media, in again blacking out or downplaying the story . While many of us have stressed the need to authenticate these statements, Hunter Biden has notably not denied that he sent the message and the allegations from the investigation have self-verifying elements. The news blackout again raises concerns over a de facto state media in the United States that operates by consent rather than coercion. This is a major story either way it turns out but networks and newspapers are again showing a distinct lack of curiosity.

    Here is the column:

    This week, former U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) went on MSNBC to issue a furious warning to everyone looking into Hunter Biden and the influence peddling scandal: “Everybody needs to back off!”

    Newly released evidence from the investigation indicates that McCaskill was not the only powerful figure issuing that warning. Two whistleblowers reportedly detailed highly disturbing actions from top officials to slow walk and undermine the investigation.

    Many of us have already noted the absence of certain charges in the plea deal given to Hunter Biden. In addition to the lack of any charge as an unregistered foreign agent, there is no evidence that the Justice Department seriously investigated the influence-peddling efforts of the Biden family despite allegations of millions generated from foreign sources.

    Now these whistleblowers are reportedly telling Congress that they were actively frustrated in their efforts to investigate as Merrick Garland was insisting that there was no interference or limitations.

    This included preventing an effort to search a guest house of President Joe Biden. IRS official Gary Shapley allegedly recalled that Assistant U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf agreed that there was “more than enough probable cause for the physical search warrant there, but the question was whether the juice was worth the squeeze.”

    Wolf allegedly said that they could never get approval for the search despite the sufficiency of the evidence.

    Even more disturbing is the allegation that Delaware US Attorney David Weiss sought to bring charges against the 53-year-old in both the District of Columbia and Southern California last year and was denied both times.

    That directly contradicts statements made to Congress by Attorney General Garland.

    Democrats and pundits have repeatedly cited the fact that Weiss was a Trump appointee and thus the light plea bargain shows that there was no case to be made. However, these sources are suggesting that Weiss tried and was rebuffed in his effort to prosecute in two different jurisdictions.

    There is also an allegation that Wolf gave Hunter’s legal team a “heads-up” that investigators were moving to search his Northern Virginia storage unit and that Wolf again objected to the effort to secure a search warrant.

    The only way to establish the truth of any of this would be to call Weiss, Wolf, and others to Congress.

    While such efforts are routinely refused by the Justice Department, these allegations (if true) would raise both potentially criminal and impeachable questions. That is an ample basis for Congress to use its oversight authority.

    I recently wrote that Garland, by his own measures, has failed as Attorney General in restoring trust in his department. However, this is far more serious than allegations of negligence. It would constitute a knowing effort to delay and obstruct efforts to investigate the Biden family — and to mislead Congress.

    The evidence also creates new problems for President Biden, who has repeatedly claimed as a presidential candidate and as president that he had no knowledge of any foreign dealings of his son.

    Those statements were long ago proven patently false.

    The laptop includes pictures and appointments of Hunter’s foreign business associates with Joe Biden. There is also a recording of Joe Biden discussing a Times report on Dec. 12, 2018, detailing Hunter’s dealings with Ye Jianming, the head of CEFC China Energy Company. He assures his son that “I think you’re clear” after lawyers worked on the New York Times before the story ran.

    There is also a recording of his uncle James assuring Hunter that he and his father were going to arrange for “safe harbor” for him as his world began to collapse.

    Now, there is a new contradiction. Rep. Jason Smith (R-Mo.) read from an alleged July 30, 2017 Whatsapp message from Hunter Biden to one of his Chinese associates, Henry Zhao, the director of Harvest Fund Management and Communist Party official. Zhao was funneling money to Hunter’s firm BHR Partners.

    Hunter is quoted as writing:

    “I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight. And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction. I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father.”

    Again, the authenticity of this message has to be established. However, there remains a striking lack of curiosity among the Democratic members who have opposed every effort to investigate these allegations.

    Even the recent disclosure of a trusted FBI source alleging a possible bribery scheme with a corrupt Ukrainian official has not reduced this opposition.

    The lack of curiosity of Democrats in Congress is only matched by the media. A year after the New York Post broke the laptop story, I wrote a column marveling at the success of the Bidens in pulling off one of the neatest tricks in political history. I analogized it to how Houdini used to make his 10,000-pound elephant Jennie disappear on a stage in front of a live audience.

    The key to the trick is that Houdini knew the audience wanted her to disappear. Jennie never left the stage but Houdini got the audience to invest in the trick by calling volunteers to the stage.

    In the same way, the media wanted the Hunter Biden scandal to disappear — they still do. They are invested in the trick.

    So, the Democrats and the media will continue to insist that there is a lack of evidence while opposing efforts to establish the evidence behind these allegations. After all, if there is an elephant behind this scandal, it is an indictment of their concerted efforts for over three years.

    Of course, it still remains a challenge to hide an elephant if even one audience member goes looking. Polls show that the public overwhelmingly wants to pull back the curtain and see the elephant.

    Mark Lyte, an attorney for IRS whistleblower Gary Shapely appeared on Fox News to discuss the DOJ’s sweetheart deal extended to Hunter Biden.

    Lyte told Fox News host Martha MacCallum that US Attorney David Weiss, the Trump-appointed Delaware prosecutor assigned to Hunter Biden’s case, said he had no power to bring charges against Hunter Biden.

    Whistleblower Gary Shapely said David Weiss disclosed this to him on one of his in-person meetings with the US Attorney.

    “United States Attorney Weiss was present for the meeting. He surprised us by telling us on the charges, quote, ‘I’m not the deciding official on whether charges are filed,’ unquote.”

    Dr. Peter McCullough: Understand Spike Shedding Before It’s Too Late

    US Attorney General Merrick Garland however has insisted David Weiss had full authority to bring charges against Hunter Biden.

    “Weiss said he tried to go to the DC US Attorney’s office and they wouldn’t approve it. And he was trying to go charge it elsewhere in California – and he was trying to seek special counsel authority and that got denied and so this was a shocker to the agents who were present,” Mark Lyte told Fox News.

    Biden’s corrupt Justice Department ended up charging Hunter Biden with two misdemeanors for tax-related crimes.

    The gun charge was treated as a diversion case which means Hunters doesn’t even have to plead guilty to the charge.

    The state of Delaware is famously business-friendly. With more than 1.8 million entities registered in the First State, companies outnumber its human residents by nearly two-to-one.

    One city is now moving to raise businesses’ influence in the state even further, with a proposal to grant them the right to vote.

    Seaford, a town of about 8,000 on the Nanticoke River, amended its charter in April to allow businesses — including LLCs, corporations, trusts or partnerships — the right to vote in local elections. The law would go into effect once both houses of Delaware’s state legislature approve it.

    The proposal has rekindled a debate over how much power corporations should have in local government, with fierce opposition from civic interest groups who say businesses already wield too much influence over politics.

    The congresswoman asserted, “Unless you’re the son of the President of the United States, you go to jail for the same crimes that Hunter Biden has committed.”

    “Now through the Ways and Means Committee, the shocking information that they released yesterday that Hunter Biden did not report $2.2 million to the IRS,” Greene said. “Hunter Biden also wrote off paying prostitutes through his business as a business expense… I’m a business owner of a construction company and I know what writing off business expenses are, but writing off human sex trafficking is no type of expense anyone should write off for their business, and that’s something they should go to jail for.”

    Greene continued, “It doesn’t matter to me whether it’s a Trump-appointed attorney, Trump-appointed judge. It does not matter. That attorney is not doing his job. He didn’t go far enough, and these charges are a pathetic excuse that the American people are not buying. As a matter of fact, they are furious over it.”

    According to whistleblower IRS Criminal Supervisory Special Agent Gary Shapley, Jr., in his testimony before congress last week, the younger Biden wrote off dues to a sex club and prostitutes as business expenses.

    There were multiple examples of prostitutes that were ordered basically, and we have all the communications between that where he would pay for these prostitutes, would book them a flight where even the flight ticket showed their name. And then he expensed those,” Shapley testified.

    Shapley said that Hunter Biden was “expensing personal expenses, his business expenses.”

    Safeway grocery stores in the San Francisco Bay Area are taking drastic measures to stop the rampant shoplifting at their stores.
    The store in Vallejo has now joined other local grocery stores in installing metal emergency gates to combat the rising thefts.

    KPIX reporter Betty Yu has been documenting security measures at grocery stores on Twitter.

    “A Safeway in Vallejo has added gates and closed a second entrance. Other locations have also done this to deter shoplifters,” Yu wrote.

    “This automatic gate closes after each person enters the store. Barricades also make it harder for shoplifters to make a run for it. Safeway also closed off an exit and blocked it with water bottles,” Yu tweeted last year about a Safeway in Castro.
