Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

    • Israel Worries U.S. Weapons for Ukraine Are Ending Up in Iran’s Hands

      Israel is concerned that weapons provided by the U.S. and other Western nations to Ukraine will end up in the hands of Israel’s foes in the Middle East, including Iran.

      A high-ranking IDF commander told Newsweek that the diversion of weapons, such as the Javelin shoulder-fired anti-tank missile system, was being monitored.

      Israel was concerned that Iran “can research capabilities, and then learn how to manufacture them.”

      “The other problem is that we are very worried that some of these capabilities are going to fall into Hizbullah and Hamas’ hands….We see the signs [of diversion], and this is very, very troubling.”

      The Israeli commander noted that some of the U.S. small arms seized in Afghanistan have already been observed in the hands of Palestinian groups operating in Gaza.

    The Gateway Pundit reported on Thursday that a global cyberattack exploiting a flaw in widely-used software had struck several US federal government agencies, triggering an immediate and rigorous response from cybersecurity officials.

    The US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) confirmed the attacks in a statement to CNN.

    “CISA is providing support to several federal agencies that have experienced intrusions,” said Eric Goldstein, CISA’s Executive Assistant Director for Cybersecurity. “We are working urgently to understand impacts and ensure timely remediation.”

    A senior U.S. Government official told CBS that, while there has been no evidence of compromise in the U.S. Military and intelligence agencies, multiple federal departments have been victim to a significant cyberattack

  15. How Israel Lost the Syrian Civil War

    Apart from the Syrian people themselves, Israel comes out of the 12 years of civil war in Syria as the biggest loser. The survival of the Assad regime, closely allied with Iran, amounts to nothing short of an Israeli strategic failure.

    Assad’s survival turns Iran into Israel’s next-door neighbor, exercising growing influence on the rebuilding of Syria’s armed forces. It allows for land corridors through Iraq and (via direct flights from Iran) an air bridge that equip Lebanese Hizbullah’s heavy missiles with precision guidance kits, making them far more accurate. It enables Shi’ite militias sponsored by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps to mount large-scale campaigns to smuggle weapons (and drugs) into Jordan intended to supply Palestinian groups in the West Bank.

    In brief, the threat to Israel is increasing and the military challenges faced by the Israel Defense Forces are becoming more complex.

    Syria is rarely part of the political debate in Israel nor did it receive much attention during the five parliamentary elections over the past four years. Israel’s security and intelligence establishments believe that the hundreds of air raids against the IRGC in Syria since 2016 have succeeded in foiling the Iranian plan to establish offensive capabilities on Syrian territory.

    A former Israeli prime minister went so far as to express in private his “hope” that Teheran would send more military into Syria where the IDF enjoys both air and intelligence superiority, thus enabling the IDF to inflict more pain on them.

    Israel’s short-term tactical calculations ignore the longer-term risks. Iran is determined to accept substantial losses in order to persist in its primary objective: deploying long and medium-range missiles in Syria, complete with air defense systems.

    So far, Iran has shied away from sending significant numbers of its own troops to Syria, preferring instead to send teams of IRGC ”advisors” to command mostly Shiite militiamen and local recruits. In the future, under a new Supreme Leader and following modernization of its air force, Teheran may be prepared to raise the stakes.

  17. Dershowitz: Radical Leftist Group Is Preventing Trump from Obtaining Top-Tier Lawyers Through Threats and Harrassment

    Harvard Attorney Alan Dershowitz published a report on Thursday on the Gatestone Institute webpage discussing the challenges President Trump is facing in defending himself from the numerous frivolous charges by the communist left.

    According to Dershowitz.

    There are disturbing suggestions that among the reasons lawyers are declining the case is because they fear legal and career reprisals.
    There is a nefarious group that calls itself The 65 Project that has as its goal to intimidate lawyers into not representing Trump or anyone associated with him. They have threatened to file bar charges against any such lawyers.
    I wrote an op-ed offering to defend pro bono any lawyers that The 65 Project goes after. So The 65 Project immediately went after me, and contrived a charge based on a case in which I was a constitutional consultant, but designed to send a message to potential Trump lawyers: If you defend Trump or anyone associated with him, we will target you and find something to charge you with. The lawyers to whom I spoke are fully aware of this threat — and they are taking it seriously…. It may even be worse today….
    Good lawyers… generally welcome challenges, especially in high-profile cases. This case is different: the threats to the lawyers are greater than at any time since McCarthyism. Nor is the comparison to McCarthyism a stretch. I recall during the 1950s how civil liberties lawyers, many of whom despised communism, were cancelled, and attacked if they dared to represent people accused of being communists.
    Our system of justice is based on the John Adams standard: he too was attacked for defending the British soldiers accused of the Boston Massacre, but his representation of these accused killers now serves as a symbol of the 6th Amendment right to counsel. That symbol has now been endangered….
    Trump’s lawyers have now alleged that one of the prosecutors has suggested to Stanley Woodward, the lawyer for Waltine Nauta, Trump’s co-defendant, that his application for judgeship may be negatively affected if he persists in defending Nauta vigorously rather than encouraging him to cooperate against Trump. If that is true – and I have not seen the evidence to support it – then it represents a direct attack on the 6th Amendment.

They worked with Facebook to remove conservative and pro-Trump groups from the platform following the 2016 election. They’ve attempted to remove FOX News from cable networks. Media Matters bragged about getting FOX News host Trish Regan taken off the air. They were behind efforts to remove Bill O’Reilly from the airwaves. They were behind the cancellation of Bards Fest in St Louis, a Christian group that was gathering to discuss the stolen 2020 Election. They were behind the effort to remove “The Donald” Reddit page. Their mission is to remove conservative voices from the American media landscape.

    And they have had great success.

    The Gateway Pundit, FOX News and its hosts, and conservatives who love America and its founding principles are targets of this fascist group.

    After the 2020 election David Brock from Media Matters targeted attorneys who helped President Trump after the stolen 2020 Election. His organization is called the 65 Project.

    The group filed lawfare hits against Jenna Ellis, Cleta Mitchell, Joe diGenova, Boris Epshteyn, and others earlier this year.

    The group wants to make it clear that any attorney who stands in the way of the totalitarian left will be a target of the fascist regime. This is the same tactic they use against Americans who reject any of their “progress” or insane ideas. The left has destroyed tens of thousands of Americans who have rejected their radical proposals and oppressive rules.

    They can’t win in the arena of ideas (ex: inflation, open borders, sexual indoctrination in schools, etc.) so they try to destroy their opposition.

    The communist group targeted 40 Trump attorneys following the 2020 election by filing bogus ethics charges against them..

    The goal of the 65 Project is not to win their cases — they have nothing to stand on. The goal is to lock Trump supporters and Trump attorneys in endless court cases. Their goal is to harass the Trump supporters into silence.

    These are evil people. That is clear. They do not honor the freedoms the rest of us cherish. They do not honor open debate.

    Orbán called it “worrying” that “legal proceedings have been initiated against the former President of the United States in America, President Donald Trump, because if there is one person in the Western World today who can stop this war and make peace, it is the former President of the United States, Donald Trump.

    In a few months’ time, “this view could be the norm in the West.”

    The war situation “is more serious than ever,” Orbán said, and Europe is “in a state of war psychosis.”

    “Was the military strategy chosen by the West at the beginning of the war — that the Russians could be defeated militarily by Ukrainian soldiers fighting and the West sending weapons — a sensible one?” asked, adding that this was “obviously a flawed military concept.”

    “The Hungarian standpoint is that there is no solution to this conflict on the battlefield,” Orbán said. “Control of events must be taken back from the military, diplomacy must be restored, politicians should negotiate, a ceasefire should be established, and peace talks should begin.”

    Tucker Carlson took the glove off in episode 4 of his Twitter show dubbed “Wannabe Dictator” – referring to Joe Biden after he had his main political rival arrested this week.

    Tucker Carlson brilliantly illustrated why Joe Biden is indeed a “Wannabe Dictator.”

    On Friday, Trump shared his views in a reaction to political commentator Tucker Carlson, a person he labeled “a very good guy.”

    The former President contended that the biggest reason for the hostility he faces is that he consistently put America first. This commitment, he suggested, antagonized Washington and globalist interests, leading them to resent him.

    “Tucker Carlson, a very good guy, is exactly right,” said Trump. “The number one reason the totally corrupt Biden administration and the sick Washington establishment are after me is because I stand up to their failed foreign policy agenda. The one thing Washington cannot forgive is that I put America first. Always put America first. I could never help it. I have to do that in order to Make America Great Again.”

    Trump sharply criticized the Biden regime’s foreign policy approach, blasting it for advocating for “foolish and disastrous foreign wars,” “horrific globalist trade deals,” and “open border catastrophes.” He also mentioned the corruption of the intelligence system and other “betrayals of the American people.”

    The former President voiced his ardent opposition to the escalating conflict in Ukraine, blaming it on “warmongers, globalists, and deep staters” seeking to gain from the conflict.

    In a resolute statement, Trump promised to end the war in Ukraine swiftly, saving lives and bringing peace. He remarked, “I want peace. They want money, and they want conflict.”

    Trump further challenged the integrity of his political adversaries, including the Clintons, the Bidens, and the Obamas. He accused them of escaping investigation or indictment, protected by what he called a “fake and disgusting system.”

    “That’s why despite the massive criminality and corruption of the Clintons, the Bidens, the Obamas and all the rest, none of them ever get indicted or ever get investigated. They’re totally protected by a fake and disgusting system,” Trump said.

    “But I did everything right, and the system tries to throw me right into a jail. They can’t beat me at the ballot box. So they’re out there trying to take me out by other means. Anything they can think of. These people don’t love our country,” he added.

    His defiant response ends with a commitment: “On November 5, 2024, justice will be done.”

    Bank of America has announced their intentions to spend half a billion dollars on “diversity issues.” This more than doubles their initial $200 million commitment.

    According to a BoA press release, “We work across our company to address critical needs in our communities, including the lack of access to capital that diverse business owners face as they start or grow their businesses,” said Tram Nguyen, Global Head of Strategic and Sustainable Investments at Bank of America. “We want to empower the talented fund managers who keenly understand how to identify and support those business owners. Each time we support a minority- or women-led fund, they in turn support diverse entrepreneurs, which ultimately helps us toward achieving our goal to advance racial equality and economic opportunity.”

    Thanks to an unredacted memo from the Privy Council uncovered by Blackrock Reporter, we now know that the Federal government, as early as May, 2021, instructed public health officials to downplay and skew data, relating to adverse reactions and injuries from Covid-19 vaccines in order to maintain confidence in the public health regime in Canada.

  25. J6 Pipe Bomber Story Goes Boom
    The FBI conducted a halfhearted inquiry, at best.
    Now we know why.

    It remains the greatest unsolved mystery related to the events of January 6: Who placed pipe bombs near the headquarters of both the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee the night before?

    Shortly before the joint session of Congress convened at 1 p.m. to debate the results of the 2020 Electoral College vote, a woman on her way to do some laundry looked down and spotted a device in an alley adjacent to the RNC building. Karlin Younger ran to notify security guards, who then called police. Law enforcement conducted a search of the area and located another device outside the DNC building.

    Panic quickly ensued. “I just had to evacuate my office because of a pipe bomb reported outside,” Representative Elaine Luria (D-Va.) tweeted at 1:46 p.m. “I don’t recognize our country today and the members of Congress who have supported this anarchy do not deserve to represent their fellow Americans.”

    “I’m sheltering in place in my office,” Rep. Haley Stevens (D-Mich.) tweeted at the same time. “The building next door has been evacuated. I can’t believe I have to write this.”

    The media immediately suggested the explosives had been planted by someone loyal to the president; the New York Times noted in its breaking report that the bombs were found “just a few blocks away from the U.S. Capitol, which Mr. Trump’s supporters stormed on Wednesday afternoon.”

    Federal authorities promised a full-throated investigation. During a press conference on January 12, 2021, acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Michael Sherwin and Washington FBI Field Office chief Steven D’Antuono emphasized the seriousness of the pipe bomb threat. “They were real devices. They had explosive ignitors,” Sherwin told reporters. D’Antuono announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the identity and arrest of the perpetrator. The FBI, D’Antuono warned, was “looking at all angles, every tool, every rock is being unturned” in pursuit of the bomber.

    A few months later, D’Antuono made another desperate plea for the public’s help in his investigation and doubled the reward. “We know it can be a difficult decision to report information about family, friends, or coworkers but this is about protecting human life. We need your help to identify the individual responsible for placing these pipe bombs to ensure that they will not harm themselves or anyone else.”

    But despite sophisticated surveillance tools including geofence warrants that were at D’Antuono’s disposal—methods the FBI continues to use to this day in its ongoing manhunt for January 6 protesters—the trail went cold. So, too, did the national news media’s interest in the story. The January 6 Select Committee completely ignored the pipe bomb threats, relegating the story to two mentions buried deep in the final report’s appendix.

    D’Antuono’s bluster notwithstanding, his office conducted a halfhearted inquiry at best. And now the public knows why. During an interview with the House Judiciary Committee earlier this month, D’Antuono disputed claims the bombs were planted to divert law enforcement presence away from the Capitol just before protesters assembled outside the building, a view commonly shared at the time.

    Not only did the FBI fail to identify the individual, D’Antuono admitted the FBI does not even know the “gender” of the bomber. He also backtracked on numerous public statements insisting the devices were viable, indeed, deadly. Pressed by Rep. Tom Massie (R-Ky.) to explain how the bombs were operable considering the use of a one-hour kitchen timer attached to the metal tube, D’Antuono admitted that they couldn’t have detonated during January 6. “I don’t know when they were supposed to go off. Maybe they weren’t supposed to go off.”

    In perhaps the most alarming portion of D’Antuono’s testimony, he revealed that the FBI does not have a complete account of cell phone use in the area on January 5, data that would easily result in tracking the perpetrator’s identity. In what Revolver News’ Darren Beattie described as “the dog ate the geofencing data” excuse, D’Antuono claimed data from one provider was “corrupted” and unusable.

    “It just—unusual circumstance that we have corrupt data from one of the providers. I’m not sure—I can’t remember right now which one,” D’Antuono testified. “But for that day, which is awful because we don’t have that information to search. So could it have been that provider? Yeah, with our luck, you know, with this investigation it probably was, right. So maybe if we did have that—that data wasn’t corrupted—and it wasn’t purposely corrupted. To my knowledge, it wasn’t corrupted, you know, but that could have been good information that we don’t have, right. So that is painful for us to not to have that. So we looked at everything.”

    And as if to ward off warranted skepticism about the idea that cell phone data tied to one of the animating moments of January 6 just happens not to exist, D’Antuono told the committee he did not “want any conspiracy theories” surrounding the conveniently missing records.

    But, of course, D’Antuono does not need to fuel any “conspiracy theories” about the pipe bomb incident. Beattie has raised numerous questions about the FBI’s handling of the investigation, such as apparently doctored video of the suspect’s movements. It’s also unclear, according to D’Antuono’s testimony, whether the FBI interviewed the woman who first found the device near the RNC. As I reported last year, Younger worked at the time for an agency called FirstNet, a public-private partnership between AT&T and first responders. The month before the Capitol protest, FirstNet received a $92 million grant from the FBI—which is either a wacky coincidence or another way in which FBI surrogates participated in the events of January 6.

    Surely with such a professional connection between his agency and Younger, D’Antuono easily could have invited her to answer a few questions. But somehow, his “no stone left unturned” investigation did not include a sit-down with the one individual responsible for finding the bomb and notifying police. Why not?

    House Judiciary Committee chairman James Jordan (R-Ohio) wants answers to that and many other unanswered questions. Jordan is asking FBI Director Christopher Wray to explain why, 890 days after the FBI launched the investigation, his agency is still left empty-handed.

    The answer, at this point, seems obvious: They want it to be.

    Beginning in 2024, colleges and universities in Washington State can apply for funding to place free emergency contraceptive vending machines on state campuses on the taxpayer’s dime.

    The vending machines will include the Plan B abortion pill. Funding for the program comes from $200,000 reserved by the state from taxpayers.

    Washington recently became the first state to pledge public funding for vending machines that carry emergency contraception — including Plan B, which prevents pregnancy within 72 hours after unprotected sex — at its public universities, technical and community colleges, hoping to address the growing need for reproductive health care on college campuses.

    Beginning in 2024, public colleges will be able to apply for a $10,000 grant that would support installation and upkeep of a vending machine, which generally carries Plan B, pregnancy tests, Tylenol and ibuprofen. The state has set aside about $200,000 total for schools to establish additional vending machines.

    In late January and early February, a China spy balloon crossed over Alaska and the continental United States.

    The Biden regime was aware of the Chinese spy balloon in US air space for a week, since the previous Saturday, January 28th.

    The Biden administration initially ignored the threat hoping the balloon would not be detected. But after amateur photographers captured the balloon flying over Montana the Biden White House had to admit they knew about the balloon.

    This was an unprecedented national security threat.

    Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said the U.S. military had to shut down communications and movements last week as the China spy balloon flew over strategic military bases during its week-long flyover of the United States from Alaska to South Carolina. The balloon was only shot down after it went offshore. Joe Biden claimed the spy balloon gathering intel over US military bases was “not a major breach.”

    In April, the National Security Council admitted that the Chinese spy balloon was able to gather intelligence from several sensitive American military bases.

    In May Joe Biden downplayed the historic national security threat telling reporters it was a “silly balloon” China flew across the continental US.

    And this week NBC reported that Joe Biden was going to apologize to China for shooting down their spy balloon after it crossed the entire continental US.

    His advisors had to talk him out of it.
