This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

    James O’Keefe on Wednesday released video of a DOJ official telling an undercover journalist with O’Keefe Media Group that US Attorney General Merrick Garland is allowing trans men to rape women in prison.

    The DOJ official, Linda Noelle, said Merrick Garland is “rolling over” on trans men impregnating women in prison.

    “If they want to have all the transitional surgeries, they go through the ACLU,” she saiJames O’Keefe stood outside of the Washington Women’s Prison in Gig Harbor, Washington as a follow up to his previous story on women being raped by trans men.

    The trans men then play victim and sue the US government for a million dollars – people inside the prison are calling this “the million dollar baby.”

    The DOJ is just settling without the courts involved and paying out huge sums of money.

    “And the DOJ, unfortunately under Merrick Garland, it rolls over. It doesn’t want to go through the court so they just pay people off,” Linda Noelle said.

    Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is investigating after a subway passenger died, apparently at the hands of a 24-year-old Marine veteran who used a chokehold to subdue him. 30-year-old Jordan Neely died from “compression of neck (chokehold)”

    Bragg determined the manner of death to be a homicide.

    The incident was captured on video.

    The Marine was protecting the train passengers from Neely who was screaming and throwing trash at passengers.

    According to CBS New York.

    Police sources say around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, Neely was allegedly throwing trash, yelling at passengers and acting erratically on the F train at the east Houston and Lafayette street station.

    Things quickly escalated when the 24-year-old tried to subdue him by using what appears to be a chokehold.

    Specifically, Kelly accused Irena Briganti, the senior executive vice president of corporate communications at Fox News, of targeting Tucker Carlson by leaking previously unseen footage and private text messages to Media Matters and The New York Times. Briganti has denied those accusations, saying that Kelly’s accusation is “completely false and an outright lie.”

      An LGBTQ rights group asked the CRTC to ban Fox News over ‘false and horrifying claims’ made by host Tucker Carlson regarding transgender individuals

      The CRTC has opened a public consultation on a complaint from an LGBTQ rights group asking the broadcast regulator to ban Fox News from cable packages in Canada.

      Interested parties and the public can submit their comments through the CRTC website until June 2.

      Egale Canada first said in April it would file an application asking the CRTC to ban Fox News over “false and horrifying claims” made by host Tucker Carlson regarding transgender individuals.

      The group published an open letter following a March appearance on Tucker Carlson Tonight. The group said the Fox News “coverage aimed to provoke hatred and violence against 2SLGBTQI communities, particularly those who are Two Spirit, trans, nonbinary and gender non-conforming (2STNBGN).”

      The group said Carlson made false claims about those communities, including “painting them as violent and dangerous.” The segment aimed to provoke resentment and violence against 2STNBGN people through false claims and “malicious misinformation,” Egale Canada executive director Helen Kennedy said in the open letter.

      “During the segment, Carlson made the inflammatory and false claim that trans people are ‘targeting’ Christians. To position trans people in existential opposition to Christianity is an incitement of violence against trans people that is plain to any viewer.”

      The letter also accused the segment of stoking resentment against 2STNBGN individuals through misinformation “including that trans people are given preferential treatment in employment and other opportunities.”

      Carlson has been fired from Fox since Egale went public with its request in early April.

      The CRTC maintains a list of international channels cable, satellite and IPTV providers can include in their packages. In March 2022, the CRTC removed Russia Today and RT France from the list, following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

        The targets of this censorship campaign align with those that Trudeau has publicly criticized.

        The documents reveal Tait making veiled threats against Twitter, insinuating that if the platform doesn’t ban the people the CBC wants silenced, the CBC might stop advertising on Twitter.

        Furthermore, the CBC implies that it has direct connections to Trudeau’s government, and if Twitter doesn’t comply, the CBC will have the government intervene.

        In one letter addressed to Paul Burns, Managing Director of Twitter Canada, Tait complains about harassment and abuse faced by journalists on the platform.

        She pushes for a meeting to establish a clear and effective process for removing hateful material targeting journalists.

        Another letter to Stephanie King, Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, urges the removal of tweets containing what the CBC considers hate speech. The CBC claims these tweets are dangerous and violate Twitter’s policies.

        In a letter to Jack Dorsey, Twitter’s CEO, Tait expresses dissatisfaction with the response she received from Twitter Canada’s representatives and requests a meeting with Dorsey to discuss removing offensive material from the platform.

        She then threatens to share her concerns with the Canadian government, which is proposing legislation to address online hate. Tait implies that she would rather have Twitter take action on its own than have the government interfere.

        These documents expose the CBC’s willingness to make business and political threats in pursuit of their censorship goals, making it difficult to distinguish between the broadcaster’s and Trudeau’s political policies.

        It’s important to question what the CBC and Trudeau administration might have said behind closed doors and what they have achieved with pro-censorship companies like YouTube and Facebook.

    Local governments in Georgia could face felony charges if they receive donations from nonprofit organizations after the 2020 general election saw million-dollar donations to county election offices.

    Gov. Brian Kemp (R-GA) signed a law banning nonprofit donations to these offices on Wednesday, a significant win for state and national Republicans looking to limit outside money in elections. Georgia will join 23 other states that have prohibited, limited, or regulated private funding in elections since 2020.

    They are focusing on the conservative justices, particularly Clarence Thomas, and highlighting all sorts of supposed ethics violations by the judges.

    But what about the liberal justices? It has now been revealed that liberal Justice Sonia Sotomayor received $3 million from Penguin books but did not recuse herself when a case about the publisher came before the court

    Liberal SCOTUS Justice Took $3M From Book Publisher, Didn’t Recuse From Its Cases

    Liberal Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor declined to recuse herself from multiple copyright infringement cases involving book publisher Penguin Random House despite having been paid millions by the firm for her books, making it by far her largest source of income, records show.

    In 2010, she got a $1.2 million book advance from Knopf Doubleday Group, a part of the conglomerate. In 2012, she reported receiving two advance payments from the publisher totaling $1.9 million.

    In 2013, Sotomayor voted in a decision for whether the court should hear a case against the publisher called Aaron Greenspan v. Random House, despite then-fellow Justice Stephen Breyer recusing after also receiving money from the publisher. Greenspan was aHarvard classmate of Mark Zuckerberg’s who wrote a book about the founding of Facebook and contended that Random House rejected his book proposal and then awarded a deal to another author who copied his book and eventually turned it into the movie The Social Network.

    In 2017, Sotomayor began receiving payments each year from Penguin Random House itself, which continued annually through at least 2021, the most recent disclosure available, and totaled more than $500,000. In all, she received $3.6 million from Penguin Random House or its subsidiaries, according to a Daily Wire tally of financial disclosures.

    The disgraced financier’s calendar for Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, details his planned meetings with some of the country’s richest men

    On Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, Jeffrey Epstein had a full calendar. He was scheduled to meet that day with Bill Gates, Thomas Pritzker, Leon Black and Mortimer Zuckerman, four of the richest men in the country, according to schedules and emails reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.

    Epstein also planned meetings that day with a former top White House lawyer, a college president and a philanthropic adviser, three of the dozens of meetings the Journal reported he had with each of them.

    Six years earlier, in 2008, Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting and procuring a minor for prostitution, and he subsequently registered as a sex offender. He was arrested again in 2019 on sex-trafficking charges, and died that year in jail awaiting trial.

    Mr. Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, has said they discussed philanthropy, and it was a mistake to meet with Epstein. Mr. Black, a co-founder of Apollo Global Management, who has said previously he met for tax and estate advice, declined to comment. The other two men haven’t previously discussed their meetings with Epstein and didn’t respond to requests for comment. Mr. Pritzker is chairman of Hyatt Hotels and Mr. Zuckerman is a real-estate investor and media owner.

    That Monday featured appointments at two luxury hotels in midtown Manhattan—the Park Hyatt and Four Seasons. Epstein was also scheduled to host several visitors at his sprawling townhouse near Central Park.

    What follows is a breakdown of Epstein’s agenda that day, offering a glimpse of the many connections he made with wealthy and prominent people. The Journal couldn’t verify whether every scheduled meeting took place.

    Epstein’s driver picked him up in the morning and brought him to meet the Microsoft mogul and Hyatt hotel heir at the Park Hyatt hotel near Central Park.

    Epstein had met with each of them before. In 2011, Epstein was discussing a multibillion-dollar charitable fund with JPMorgan Chase executives and wrote in emails to them that he could involve Mr. Gates and Mr. Pritzker.

    On this day, Mr. Gates was scheduled to spend several hours with Epstein, accompanying him to various meetings. Mr. Gates runs, with his ex-wife, one of the world’s biggest philanthropies.

    “As Bill has said many times before, it was a mistake to have ever met with him and he deeply regrets it,” said a spokeswoman for Mr. Gates.

    Mr. Pritzker, part of a wealthy and politically connected Chicago family, was a frequent guest at Epstein’s townhouse, according to the documents.

    Mr. Pritzker and Hyatt representatives didn’t respond to requests for comment about the scheduled meetings.

    The schedule called for Epstein and Mr. Gates to head two blocks along 57th Street to the skyscraper that houses the offices of Apollo Global Management.

    Epstein had been scheduled to meet with its co-founder Mr. Black the day before, and the two men were slated to meet again three days later, the documents show.

    Mr. Black had more than 100 meetings scheduled with Epstein from 2013 to 2017. They typically met at Epstein’s townhouse and occasionally at Mr. Black’s office, the documents show.

    The billionaire stepped down as Apollo’s CEO in March 2021. An Apollo review found he paid Epstein $158 million for estate planning and tax work.

    Mr. Black declined to comment about the scheduled meetings. Apollo has said Epstein was working for Mr. Black, not Apollo.

    Epstein and Mr. Gates were next scheduled to head to Epstein’s townhouse to meet with Mr. Zuckerman, the owner of U.S. News & World Report.

    At the time of the meeting, Mr. Zuckerman also owned the Daily News and was executive chairman of Boston Properties, a big owner of office buildings.

    Mr. Zuckerman was scheduled to meet Epstein more than a dozen times over the years. On some occasions, the two men planned to meet at Mr. Zuckerman’s office or home, which was near Epstein’s townhouse, the documents show.

    One night in January 2014, Epstein waited past 11 p.m. to meet with Mr. Zuckerman, who was scheduled to visit his townhouse at 10:30 p.m., the documents show.

    A spokeswoman for Mr. Zuckerman had no comment on the scheduled meetings.

    The Four Seasons, a luxury-hotel chain in which Mr. Gates’s investment firm holds a stake, was the next scheduled stop. There, Epstein introduced Mr. Gates to Kathryn Ruemmler, who until earlier that year had served as President Obama’s top White House lawyer.

    Over the next few years, Epstein often had appointments with Ms. Ruemmler, who was a partner at Latham & Watkins at the time and is now general counsel at Goldman Sachs.

    Ms. Ruemmler had a professional relationship with Epstein and many of their meetings were about a mutual client, a Goldman Sachs spokesman said. “I regret ever knowing Jeffrey Epstein,” Ms. Ruemmler said.

    The spokeswoman for Mr. Gates said Epstein never worked for Mr. Gates. A spokeswoman for Latham & Watkins said Epstein wasn’t a client of the firm.

    Epstein returned to his Upper East Side townhouse in the afternoon, the schedule shows. One of the largest private homes in Manhattan, the townhouse was originally built for a Macy’s heir.

    At 4:30 p.m., Epstein was scheduled to meet with Ramsey Elkholy, a musician and anthropologist. Mr. Elkholy had several other meetings with Epstein over the years.

    Mr. Elkholy said one of Epstein’s girlfriends had introduced them, and that he occasionally went to Epstein for financial and book publishing advice. “When I heard about everything that happened, I was sick to my stomach,” he said.

    “In hindsight, I realize that Jeffrey was a very good con man,” Mr. Elkholy said. “He could give the impression that he was helping you when in fact he was mostly B.S.-ing.”

    The next person on Epstein’s calendar, Leon Botstein, was running late that day. The longtime president of Bard College was arriving at LaGuardia Airport and planned to head straight to the townhouse, the documents show.

    Mr. Botstein said he first visited Epstein’s townhouse in 2012 to thank him for $75,000 in unsolicited donations for Bard’s high schools, then visited again over several years in an attempt to get more. He also invited Epstein to events at the college.

    Mr. Botstein said fundraising for the school was his responsibility, and that he met just as frequently with other potential donors.

    “It was a humiliating experience to deal with him, but I cannot afford to put my pride before my obligation to raise money for the causes I’m responsible for,” Mr. Botstein said.

    “It looked like he was someone who was convicted and served his time,” Mr. Botstein said. “That turned out to be corrupt, but we didn’t know that.”

    The last meeting scheduled for the day was with Barnaby Marsh, a philanthropic adviser to wealthy families. At the time, Mr. Marsh was an executive at the John Templeton Foundation, which donates to various science and research groups. He had roughly two dozen meetings with Epstein.

    Mr. Marsh said he often went to Epstein’s townhouse for gatherings because it was full of academics and wealthy people who discussed philanthropy ideas. “So many of these billionaires knew him,” Mr. Marsh said. “And he would sit in the corner, just kind of watching.”

    Mr. Marsh said Epstein openly discussed his jail time. Mr. Marsh said, however, that he never saw evidence Epstein made significant donations. “He was a lot of talk, but he never did anything.”

    • WSJ: Former Israeli PM and Head of Israeli Military Intelligence Ehud Barak Visited Jeffrey Epstein’s Apartment Monthly

      Former Israeli Prime Minister and head of Israeli Military Intelligence Ehud Barak visited Jeffrey Epstein’s New York City apartment dozens of times between 2013 and 2017, documents obtained by the Wall Street Journal reveal.

      “After Epstein was arrested in 2019, photos were published in newspapers showing Mr. Barak, the Israeli politician, entering Epstein’s townhouse in 2016,” WSJ reported.

      “The documents provide new details about his scheduled meetings,” WSJ continued. “They show that between 2013 and 2017, Epstein planned at least three dozen meetings with Mr. Barak. They had appointments every month for 11 consecutive months starting in December 2015, the documents show.”

      Mr. Barak told the Journal he was introduced to Epstein in 2003 by Shimon Peres, another former prime minister of Israel, at a social event with U.S. dignitaries, and that he would regularly visit Epstein when he traveled to New York. “Quite often, I came to the townhouse with my wife,” Mr. Barak said. Mr. Peres died in 2016.

      Mr. Barak also took flights on Epstein’s private jet, the documents show. In January 2014, he met Epstein at his Palm Beach mansion and then they flew together to Tampa, where Epstein dropped him off and continued on to New York.

      “I flew only twice on his airplane, together with my wife and Israeli security detail,” Mr. Barak said. He said he remembers the trip in Florida was to visit a U.S. military installation in Tampa.

      “I never participated in any party or any other improper event around [Epstein], and never met him with girls or minors, or even adult women in improper context or behavior,” Mr. Barak said.

      Barak was photographed “hiding his face” while entering Epstein’s New York City townhouse in 2016.

      Barak didn’t say he was with his wife after getting exposed by the Daily Mail but did claim that he “never met Epstein in the company of women or young girls.”

      Epstein “entered a partnership worth millions” with Barak in 2015.

      Pro-Israel billionaire Leon Black, who funded Epstein together with pro-Israel billionaire Les Wexner to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars, “scheduled more than 100 meetings with Epstein from 2013 to 2017,” the WSJ reported.

      Epstein also met with former US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers after his conviction for child solicitation:

      Billionaire LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, who was caught staging a false flag operation with fake Russian bots to influence the Alabama Senate election in 2017, visited Jeffrey Epstein’s “Pedophile Island,” Epstein’s records show.

      Hoffman has been using his wealth to pour money into electing pro-Israel Democrats, fund the E. Jean Carroll’s rape lawsuit against Donald Trump and work with George Soros to censor the internet.

      The documents reveal that Epstein had plans for Mr. Hoffman and Mr. Ito to visit his private island in March 2014 and in November 2014. On the second date, Epstein planned to travel with both men from Palm Beach to the island for a weekend and then fly together to Boston.

      When the venture capitalist had a flight scheduled to land late at night in New York on Dec. 4, 2014, Epstein arranged for Mr. Hoffman to stay overnight in his townhouse, the documents show. The following morning, Mr. Hoffman was scheduled to attend a “breakfast party” with Epstein, Mr. Gates and others, according to the documents.

      Mr. Hoffman told the Journal he only once visited Epstein’s island residence, Little St. James, for an MIT fundraising trip with Mr. Ito. He said he regrets ever meeting with Epstein and his last interaction with Epstein was in 2015.

      “It gnaws at me that, by lending my association, I helped his reputation, and thus delayed justice for his survivors,” Mr. Hoffman said in an email. He said he met with Epstein to discuss science projects at universities. “While I relied on MIT’s endorsement, ultimately I made the mistake,” he said, “and I am sorry for my personal misjudgment.”

      Mr. Ito said in an email: “Reid attended a few fundraising events at my request, including one trip to Little St. James, after I confirmed to Reid that Mr. Epstein had been an approved donor target for MIT in accordance with university rules and regulations.”

      Schedules and emails show deeper relationships between the disgraced financier and a range of prominent people, including the former Treasury secretary and the filmmaker

      The documents reviewed by the Journal, which include thousands of pages of emails and schedules from 2013 to 2017, provide new details about the nature and frequency of Epstein’s contacts with an array of powerful people long after he was a registered sex offender. He had pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting and procuring a minor for prostitution.

      Mr. Summers “deeply regrets being in contact with Epstein after his conviction,” and Ms. New’s nonprofit “regrets accepting funding from Epstein,” said a spokeswoman for the couple. Ms. New’s nonprofit later made a contribution “exceeding the amount received, to a group working against sex trafficking,” the spokeswoman said.

      Many of the people or institutions named in the documents were previously known to have associated with Epstein. Some of the documents show that their disclosures about contacts with Epstein were incomplete. Other documents provide new details about how often or where the people met with Epstein, and the kinds of favors Epstein did for them.

      The documents don’t reveal the purpose of most of the meetings. The Journal couldn’t verify whether every scheduled meeting took place. Many of the people told the Journal they met with Epstein for reasons related to his wealth and connections.

      Among the new details:

      – Mr. Summers continued to meet with Epstein and seek his help years after Harvard decided it would no longer accept his donations.

      – Reid Hoffman, a billionaire venture capitalist and LinkedIn co-founder, visited Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean and was scheduled to stay over at his Manhattan townhouse in 2014.

      – Woody Allen, the Oscar-winning movie director, attended dozens of dinners with his wife, Soon-Yi Previn, at Epstein’s mansion and invited Epstein to film screenings.

      – Ehud Barak, the former Israeli prime minister, visited Epstein dozens of times and accepted flights on Epstein’s private jet while visiting Epstein’s mansions in Florida and New York.

      – Leon Black, the billionaire co-founder of private-equity giant Apollo Global Management, scheduled more than 100 meetings with Epstein from 2013 to 2017.

      Mr. Hoffman said he met with Epstein to raise funds for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and that he regrets interacting with Epstein after his conviction. Mr. Allen’s spokeswoman said the filmmaker went with his wife to group social events at Epstein’s townhouse. Mr. Black declined to comment. He stepped down after an Apollo investigation found he paid Epstein for tax planning and estate advice.

      Mr. Barak said he often visited Epstein when he traveled to New York. He said he met interesting people at Epstein’s townhouse where they would discuss politics and other topics.

      “In retrospect, [Epstein] seems to be a terrible version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, but at the time seemed to be an intelligent person, socially well connected and of wide areas of interest, from science to geopolitics,” Mr. Barak said. He said that he never participated in any parties or activities with girls or women.

      The documents show that the disgraced financier kept a busy schedule, filling his days with meetings with politicians, executives and celebrities, including at his New York townhouse and his residence in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Prosecutors alleged in 2019 that Epstein had abused girls and had run a sex-trafficking ring. He died that year in jail awaiting trial in what the New York City medical examiner said was a suicide.

      Barnaby Marsh, then an executive at the large charitable fund John Templeton Foundation, met with Epstein roughly two dozen times, often for breakfast at the townhouse, the documents show. He was previously known to have met with Epstein, but not to that extent.

      Mr. Marsh, who advises wealthy people on philanthropy, said he went to Epstein’s townhouse for gatherings because it was full of billionaires and academics who had many of the same interests in charitable giving. Mr. Marsh said Epstein openly discussed his jail time.

      “So many of these billionaires knew him,” Mr. Marsh said. “Nobody ever said ‘Watch out for him.’ ”

      He said Epstein convened people, including Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, to try to solve problems facing rich donors, such as how to make large gifts. Epstein told Mr. Marsh that Epstein was managing money for Mr. Gates, Mr. Marsh said.

      “I had high hopes that he would follow the paths of others who used their ‘second chance’ to make a positive impact in the world,” Mr. Marsh said. “In the end, he disappointed me.”

      Epstein misrepresented his relationship with Mr. Gates and didn’t manage money for him, said a spokeswoman for Mr. Gates. Mr. Gates has said they met for philanthropic reasons.

      “As Bill has said many times before, it was a mistake to have ever met with him and he deeply regrets it,” the spokeswoman said.

      Glenn Dubin and Eva Andersson-Dubin

      The documents reveal how Epstein’s friends sustained a relationship after his conviction in ways that were mutually beneficial. Epstein received help to repair his reputation, and his friends received favors.

      Eva Andersson-Dubin, a longtime friend and the wife of hedge-fund billionaire Glenn Dubin, invited Epstein to charity events, to which he contributed.

      In the summer of 2015, Epstein sent Dr. Andersson-Dubin a “funny story” about checking into a California hotel with a young woman.

      “I went to park the car and the bellman said to Karnya ‘is that your father,’ ” Epstein, then 62, wrote in an email, referring to his female companion, then in her 20s.

      Dr. Andersson-Dubin wrote back: “Glenn laughs so hard!!!!”

      In 2019, when Epstein was charged with sex trafficking, the Dubins told the Journal through a spokesman that they were “horrified,” and that they had continued their friendship after his 2008 guilty plea because they believed he had rehabilitated himself.

      Dr. Andersson-Dubin, a physician and former Miss Sweden, has said she dated Epstein in the 1980s. Epstein connected Mr. Dubin to JPMorgan Chase, which bought control of his hedge fund, Highbridge Capital Management, in 2004 for more than $1 billion. Epstein earned a fee for the transaction, the Journal has reported.

      The documents also reveal Epstein offering help to one of the Dubins’ daughters, as he did for the children of other contacts.

      In 2012, Epstein emailed the Dubins’ daughter that he would arrange modeling jobs for her with apparel brands. In 2014, he scheduled a meeting between her and a professor at Harvard, where she was a student, the documents show.

      A spokeswoman for the Dubins said Epstein didn’t make introductions for modeling jobs for their daughter. The spokeswoman reaffirmed the Dubins’ 2019 statement, which also said: “Had they been aware of the vile and unspeakable conduct described in these new allegations, they would have cut off all ties long ago and certainly never allowed him to be in the presence of their children.”

      Lawrence Summers

      Epstein donated millions of dollars to Harvard during Mr. Summers’s tenure as the university’s president from 2001 to 2006. Harvard has said it decided to reject donations from Epstein after his 2008 guilty plea in Florida.

      Mr. Summers, who remains a Harvard professor, had more than a dozen meetings scheduled with Epstein from 2013 through 2016, including several dinners, the documents show.

      Mr. Summers didn’t solicit donations for Harvard from Epstein after his conviction and didn’t personally receive money from him, his spokeswoman said. “Their interactions primarily focused on global economic issues,” she said.

      But he did solicit donations for Ms. New, his wife. In 2014, Ms. New, a professor of English, was hoping to expand to the general public her Harvard coursework about poetry. She established the nonprofit that received the Epstein donation and later created a public-television series, the spokeswoman said.

      Mr. Marsh said Epstein asked him multiple times if the Templeton Foundation could donate to Ms. New’s poetry project. Templeton didn’t donate to the project, he said.

      Harvard declined to comment beyond its 2020 report on its ties with Epstein, which found he donated $9.1 million before 2008 and had visited the campus dozens of times after his conviction.

      Woody Allen

      Epstein was known to have been friendly with Mr. Allen. The documents reveal new details about some of their activities and how often they met. They were scheduled to get together nearly every month in 2014 and 2015.

      In November 2012, an assistant to Mr. Allen sent one of Epstein’s assistants a note: “Woody was wondering if Jeffrey would be interested in watching his new film either today or tomorrow?” Epstein said he was available.

      Epstein and Mr. Allen also planned visits to the studio of artist Jeff Koons in 2013, and to Sotheby’s auction house in 2017, the documents show. Mr. Koons didn’t respond to requests for comment.

      Epstein arranged for Mr. Allen to join dozens of dinners at Epstein’s townhouse. Mr. Allen went with his wife, Ms. Previn. Epstein’s staff sometimes ordered Mr. Allen flourless chocolate cakes and bottles of Beck’s beer, the documents show.

      “Woody and Soon-Yi lived in the same neighborhood as Epstein and were frequently invited to dinner parties at his townhouse,” said a spokeswoman for the couple. “There were always other guests at those gatherings.”

      “Woody never had a business meeting with Epstein and not once spent time with him without Soon-Yi also being present,” the spokeswoman said.

      In October 2014, Epstein planned for Mr. Allen to give lessons on film editing at his townhouse to a group of guests watching Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho,” the documents show.

      Terje Rod-Larsen

      On the guest list for the 2014 film session with Mr. Allen, the documents show, was Terje Rod-Larsen, a Norwegian diplomat who helped negotiate the Oslo Accords in the 1990s.

      The documents reveal Epstein also made plans for Mr. Rod-Larsen to visit his private island in 2012. The diplomat came so frequently to Epstein’s townhouse—dozens of times from 2013 to 2017—that the staff knew to have cucumbers on hand for his gin, the documents show.

      Mr. Rod-Larsen resigned in 2020 as president of the International Peace Institute after Norwegian newspaper DN reported he visited the townhouse frequently, had received a $130,000 personal loan from Epstein, and had accepted about $650,000 in donations from Epstein foundations for the nonprofit.

      The IPI said in 2020 that it was unaware of the donations and the loan, and that Mr. Rød-Larsen had apologized for his “failed judgment.”

      Mr. Rod-Larsen didn’t respond to requests for comment. A spokeswoman for the IPI said it had no comment beyond its 2020 statement.

    Last month, Biden’s Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said that the U.S. economy is doing great, a point that has been repeated by Biden and other members of his administration.

    Yet when you look at the numbers, they tell a very different story.

    In late 2022 and early 2023, we saw a wave of layoffs in big tech, but that trend is spreading across the board and looks like it will get even worse this year.

    A wave of layoffs that hit dozens of US companies toward the end of 2022 shows no sign of slowing down into 2023.

    Morgan Stanley and Dropbox are the latest companies to announce cuts: Morgan Stanley is reportedly cutting 3,000 by the end of the quarter, while Dropbox’s CEO said last week the company would cut 500 jobs. Gap, meanwhile, said it would cut 1,800 jobs as part of a restructuring plan meant to cut costs at headquarters and in upper management.

    The news comes after Lyft told employees on April 21 it would eliminate 1,200 roles, or about 30% of its workforce. The cuts will apply to corporate staffers, as Lyft does not consider drivers to be official employees of the company.

    The Biden Regime’s quest to restrict the rights of American citizens never takes a day off. Their next mission is to take away your right to hunt and fish.

    Fox News reported the regime is colluding with radical environmental groups to put this scheme into motion. Here is some background via Fox News:

    In 2021, the Center for Biological Diversity — an influential environmental group with assets exceeding $40 million that advocates for stringent federal wildlife protections — sued the federal government over a Trump administration rule expanding hunting and fishing on 2.3 million acres across 147 wildlife refuges and national fish hatcheries.

    Instead of defending the rule, the Biden administration asked the court to delay proceedings in the case in February 2022, and in November agreed to a settlement with the Center for Biological Diversity that stipulated the government would take wide-ranging steps to protect wildlife “harmed by expanded hunting and fishing” on national wildlife refuges.

    Under the settlement, the Federal Fish and Wildlife Services promised to expand lead ammunition prohibitions across various federal refuge properties beginning in 2026 as part of the 2023-2024 annual rule expected to be proposed in May.

    Fox News reported that the Federal Fish and Wildlife Services (FWS) is now poised to act. In addition to banning lead ammunition, fishing tackle, the equipment used by anglers while fishing, will be banned as well.

    This qualifies as a backdoor ban on hunting and fishing on federal land. Since the federal government owns 28% of the land in America, this qualifies as a significant chunk.

    Todd Adkins, the vice president of government affairs for the Sportsmen’s Alliance, a pro-hunting group, explained why this qualifies as a ban in an interview with Fox News.

    Raising the cost of hunting, raising the cost of fishing and raising the cost of our crowd doing their thing is objective number one, without a doubt, because they know if you make it more expensive, less people will do it.

    The International Order of T. Roosevelt executive director Luke Hilgeman, though, has a plan to circumvent the regime’s efforts to ban hunting and fishing. He told Fox News his group will be leading an effort to get constitutional amendments on the ballot in states that do not have hunting and fishing as a state right.

    IOTR says they are looking to secure Americans’ rights to hunt and fish in all 27 states that don’t currently have the right to do so. According to Fox News, Florida, Ohio, South Dakota and Iowa are the four priority states for 2024. Right now, only 23 states have an explicit state constitutional right to hunt and fish.

    Such a strategy has an added bonus because ballot resolutions have the backing of a state’s citizens that can’t be overturned by legislation. Pro-Biden environmental and animal “rights” groups are currently pursuing total hunting bans in several states.

    Hilgeman says there is a sense of urgency because we may be soon facing a future without no hunting and fishing in America.

    We at IOTR are speaking out and standing against this because we know that without hunting and fishing happening in America, conservation as we know it, will cease to exist.

    We think this is a totally misguided policy that’s not based in science. It’s going to put up ‘No hunting signs’ on millions of acres of lands and kick people off of the waterways that they traditionally fish with their kids and grandkids.

    WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. company Westinghouse unveiled plans on Thursday for a small modular reactor to generate virtually emissions-free electricity that could replace coal plants or power water desalinization and other industries.

    Rita Baranwal, the Westinghouse Electricity Co’s top technology officer, said the reactor, dubbed AP300 for its planned 300 Megawatt capacity, will not use special fuels or liquid metal coolants unlike some other next-generation reactors.

    It will be a smaller version of its AP1000 reactor, several of which are operating in China, and which are ramping up in Georgia at the Vogtle plant, after years of delay and billions of dollars over budget.

    Despite hurdles for new nuclear, Baranwal was confident. “We’ve kept it simple, designed it on demonstrated and licensed technology, and I think that’s one of the advantages that we have with this concept,” she told Reuters in an interview. Westinghouse, owned by Brookfield Business Partners, plans to start constructing the reactor by 2030 and have it running by 2033.

    Small modular reactors (SMR) are meant to fit new applications such as replacing shut coal plants and being located in more remote communities. President Joe Biden’s administration believes that maintaining existing nuclear plants and developing next-generation reactors is crucial for its goal of decarbonizing the economy by 2050.

    So far the design for only one SMR, planned by NuScale Power Corp, has been approved by U.S. regulators and it still needs permits.

    Westinghouse did not reveal how much the first reactor would cost, but said later units would cost about $1 billion. The company, based in western Pennsylvania, has had informal talks with parties in neighboring states Ohio and West Virginia about the potential building of AP300s at former coal plants.

    Westinghouse also hopes to sell reactors to countries in eastern Europe, even though nuclear power critics have expressed concerns that developers and governments should think carefully before building new nuclear plants anywhere near the region. They noted that Russia took the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine, the site of repeated shelling.

    Baranwal said Russia’s actions have made countries motivated to become more energy independent and the AP300 will be passively safe because it does not need power supply or human intervention for 72 hours in the event of an incident.

    Westinghouse also sees potential customers in sub-Saharan Africa, which could bring electricity for the first time to some areas.

    The company is not sure yet whether the technology can be exported to China, where the first AP1000s began operations in 2018. That year, former President Donald Trump’s administration issued restrictions on exports of nuclear technology newer than the AP1000 due to nuclear proliferation concerns.

    Baranwal said if the U.S. government deems AP300 to be a subset of the earlier reactor technology “then we can start entertaining the possibilities” of exporting it to China.

    Navy SEAL Robert J. O’Neill, who was on the mission to kill Islamic terrorist Osama bin Laden, is blasting the U.S. Navy for using a drag queen to recruit new sailors into service.

    On Monday, The Daily Caller’s Micaela Burrow reported the Navy had recruited Joshua Kelley — an active-duty drag queen who goes by the stage name Harpy Daniels and identifies as non-binary — to be a “Navy Digital Ambassador.” According to the report, the Digital Ambassador pilot program ran from October 2022 to March 2023 and was designed to “explore the digital environment to reach a wide range of potential candidates” for military recruitment.

    O’Neill — a decorated combat veteran who served for eight years as a member of SEAL Team Six and has been awarded dozens of accolades for his service — responded to the report on Twitter, saying he “can’t believe [he] fought for this bullsh-t.”

    “Alright. The U.S. Navy is now using an enlisted sailor Drag Queen as a recruiter,” he wrote. “I’m done. China is going to destroy us.”

    O’Neill isn’t the only veteran to condemn the military for its moronic embrace of drag queens, either. In one tweet, Kurt Schlichter, a Townhall.com columnist and retired Army colonel, predicted that America is “going to lose the next war” it’s involved in.

    “My Navy father would have been appalled, but then he was in a Navy that won wars and didn’t run ships into each other,” he added in another post.

    Retired Navy Rear Admiral and Texas GOP Rep. Ronny Jackson expressed similar disgust, tweeting “Who on EARTH would be persuaded to join [the military] after watching” Kelley’s drag videos.

    “Biden’s SICK SICK SICK woke agenda for our military needs to END NOW!!” he said.

    Veterans such as First TV host Jesse Kelly and other prominent conservatives echoed similar sentiments.

    The Navy’s use of a drag queen as a “digital ambassador” comes amid reports the military is predicted to miss its recruiting targets for the 2023 fiscal year. Last month, The Military Times revealed that the U.S. Navy, Air Force, and Army are projecting recruiting shortfalls in the “thousands” this year. While the Navy is estimated to fall roughly 6,000 recruits short of its goal, the Army and Air Force are projected to miss theirs by 10,000 and 3,400, respectively.

    As The Federalist previously reported, the Defense Department has been pushing military leadership to adopt discriminatory “DEI” ideology since President Joe Biden took office. DEI — which stands for diversity, equity, and inclusion — is a divisive and poisonous ideology that dismisses merit to discriminate based on characteristics such as skin color and sexual preferences. Individuals who qualify for a certain position due to their merits but don’t meet the discriminating entity’s goal of being more “diverse” are passed over in favor of those who meet the preferred identitarian standards.

    New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman once described Palestinian rock-throwing as “non-violent resistance.” And a recent Times article described a mob of Arab rock-throwers as “unarmed.”

    On April 27, Alexa Bartell, age 20, was driving through Jefferson County, Colorado, when three young men began throwing rocks at motorists. One of those rocks smashed through Alexa’s front windshield, killing her. Several other drivers were seriously injured.

    How have the authorities in Colorado responded to the rock-throwing incident? The district attorney has charged the men with first-degree murder. The penalty is life in prison.

    Almost every day in Israel, some innocent motorist is the target of potentially lethal rock-throwing. Yehuda Haim Shoham, just 5 months old, was strapped into his car seat on June 5, 2021, when Palestinian Arab rock-throwers struck Yehuda in the head, killing him.

    At least 16 Israelis, including four Americans, have been murdered by Palestinian Arabs throwing rocks at them. Thousands of Israelis have suffered injuries, and some have been permanently maimed, by rock-throwers. These Israeli victims are never mentioned by the news media.

    When there is a terrorist attack involving bombs or guns or knives, there are only a few terrorists involved. But Palestinian Arab rock-throwing is a very different matter, involving many more people. Acknowledging that such a large number of people have been trying to murder Israeli Jews means admitting that the desire to murder Jews is not some isolated fringe phenomenon in Palestinian society but is widespread.

    For some community members, it’s exactly what Jews have always wanted and needed. In 2006, following up on a resolution passed by Congress, President George W. Bush was the first to declare May to be Jewish American Heritage Month. His successors have happily done the same.

    President Joe Biden’s proclamation is full of the same fulsome praise for the role that Jews have played in the history of this republic, similar to Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump, and, like theirs, is peppered with self-referential language seeking to position himself as a true friend of the community…

    The fuss made over Jewish American Heritage Month may not equal that accorded celebrations such as those for Black History (February), Hispanic Heritage (September), Women’s History (March) or LGBTQ+ Pride (June), and it does have to share May with Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage. But it is gaining a lot more attention with each passing year…

    This pleases a lot of people in the Jewish community who have long thought that Jewish history deserved to be singled out in the way that all those other heritages have been. To an older generation of Jews that remember a time when Jewish participation in mainstream culture was noteworthy and a source of great pride to a community largely made up of immigrants struggling for acceptance, any amount of hoopla made over Jewish Heritage Month is especially satisfying.

    But there’s more to this than a group ego trip. Many in the community believe that promoting interest in Jewish life and history among the general population can also play a role in combating antisemitism…

    One can only hope they’re right, though those who are committed to this idea ought to give a thought to the way that the far greater focus on Holocaust education has largely FAILED to achieve a similar goal.

      A 77-year-old man has been sentenced to reeducation by a French court after reportedly disrespecting the country’s president, Emmanuel Macron.

      The unnamed elder was convicted by the court of showing contempt for French leader Emmanuel Macron in Eure, France.

      Unlike many other Western nations, it is an offence in France to show “contempt for public officials“, with those who fall foul of the law facing the possibility of spending up to one year behind bars and a hefty fine of over $15,000.

      According to a report by news portal Actu.fr, the 77-year-old was found to have fallen foul of this law by the court by hanging a banner outside his house calling out the French head of state.

      “Macron, we’ll piss you off…” the banner reportedly read, possibly a reference to a vow made by the President himself last year when the French President vowed to “piss off” unvaccinated members of the French public with COVID passports.

      Police were hesitant to act against the man however due to his age, with the mayor of his village, Michel Thouin, describing him as being “an ordinary man” who had previously served as a municipal councillor.

      The court sentenced the man to be reeducated by attending a citizenship course, rather than impose any financial penalty or jail time.

      The banner meanwhile has reportedly been seized and destroyed by police.
