Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  2. Very, very interesting and mind opening. Satya Yuga, remember this term. The rise of ancient civilizations smothered by western self-interest is no longer viable for a growing portion of the world population. The presumption of a bi-polar world and the reality of a multi-polar world cannot coexist for long. Hungarian PM Victor Orban expressed the same in last night’s Tucker interview posted by Vlad. To choose an autonomous route over the either-or route that only western powers, including George Soros, are trying to impose, is a real prospect that can give us wild optimism, because the bi-polar orthodoxy is crumbling. The trick is to survive our transition.

Last week, The Gateway Pundit reported that the train that derailed in East Palestine on Feb 3 had what appeared to be an axle on fire for at least 43 minutes prior to the derailment. According to the NTSB, the train derailed at approximately 8:54pm.

The NTSB cites a video shared by several outlets, including The Gateway Pundit, in which a business’s surveillance camera caught the train with what appears to be either an axle on fire, or glowing red from heat and sparking. There isn’t a visible timestamp on

Five environmentalists heading to East Palestine, Ohio to provide “environmental support” in Bedford, Ohio after a metal plant mysteriously exploded earlier this week, died in a plane crash in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Local news outlets reported a twin-engine Beech BE20 crashed in a densely wooded area shortly after taking off from Little Rock’s Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport.

ABC 5 News reported, “All five people were employees at Little Rock-based consulting firm CTEH.”

Per its site CTEH is a environmental consulting company that ” empowers extraordinary teams of experts to help companies, governments, and communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from threats to their environment and people.”

      • (I got interrupted and lost a long reply, here is the second try.)

The “hot box” would be easy to start but you couldn’t control when the wheel would come off.

The”hot box” detectors (they detect excess heat and contact the engineer by radio.) are about 30 miles apart so a minimum of two would have to be sabotaged.

There have been reports of Norfolk cutting back on maintaining the track. If the track is in good shape (more on this below) trains over 2 miles in length are safe at speeds of 90 mph.

By good shape I mean aligned and leveled. If the tracks are not level or aligned (the tracks aren’t straight there is a wave pattern to both sides) the cars sway side to side. The further out of alignment or the faster the train the greater the sway. If they sway enough they will fall to one side.

The number of derailments (3 per day) says poor maintenance. People I know who use to be engineers are shocked at the number. This says all railroads are cutting back on track maintenance.

Now to the plane wreck, yes the location where the flight started, their previous job and the destination of the flight does raise several alarms. just as so many train wrecks, fires and explosions scream coordinated attacks by someone.

The question is who? ANTIFA? Iran? China? Russia? all of the above are suppose to have personnel in the US.

      • Update below I posted an article about the “hot box” detector worked and the train stopped before the wheel came off. They then decoupled the engine and moved it a mile. A retired engineer I know said both times he had a “hotbox” they decoupled cars and moved the car with the “hotbox” away from all tank cars. Then decoupled and did their best to isolate the burning car.

There is a lot of blame to go around to the Railroad and the train crew. To say nothing about the Biden administration’s actions after the wreck.

    • Updates on Ohio train derailment investigation

      ( 56 min )

NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy and Robert J. Hall, director of the NTSB’s Office of Railroad, Pipeline and Hazardous Material discuss the investigation into the Feb. 3 Norfolk Southern freight train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio.

The crew operating a freight train that derailed in East Palestine, Ohio, did not receive a critical warning about an overheated axle until just before dozens of cars went off the tracks, federal safety investigators said in a report.

An engineer slowed and stopped the train after getting a “critical audible alarm message,” according to a preliminary report by the National Transportation Safety Board. The crew then saw fire and smoke and alerted dispatch of a possible derailment, the report said.

The axle investigators are focused on had been heating up as the train went down the tracks, but did not reach the threshold for stopping the train and inspecting it until just before the derailment, the report said. The train was going about 47 mph (75 kph) at the time, just under the speed limit of 50 mph (80 kph), according to safety investigators.

      • This is BS, when the axel starts heating up you stop and cool it down before it gets hit enough to start a fire. You want to keep all of the cars on the rails not cause a wreck.

Kim Gardner may be the most radical Soros-funded Circuit Attorney in the nation today.

Of course, one of her largest funders was George Soros in both of her elections.

Kim Gardner is so intolerable that two dozen attorneys and more than one-third of the trial lawyers left the office when she took over the office in 2017. And this is a Democrat dominated office!

In August 2018 Kim Gardner announced her attorneys will no longer accept cases from 28 different St. Louis City police officers. Gardner called it her “exclusion list” because they were racist.

      ( 26 min )

The US government rejects a bombshell report by Pulitzer Prize veteran investigative journalist Seymour Hersh entitled “How America Took Out the Nord Stream Pipeline”, which alleges that the United States, with Norway’s assistance, blew up the Nord Stream 1 and 2 natural gas pipelines in a covert operation last September.

The attack on the Nord Stream pipelines was carried out by the US Navy and the CIA under direct orders from President Biden, according to Hersh’s piece which was published on February 8th on

The secret and incomplete history of US-Norway collaboration in covert operations

Why Norway? In my account of the Biden Administration’s decision to destroy the Nord Stream pipelines, why did much of the secret planning and training for the operation take place in Norway? And why were highly skilled seamen and technicians from the Norwegian Navy involved?

The simple answer is that the Norwegian Navy has a long and murky history of cooperation with American intelligence. Five months ago that teamwork—about which we still know very little—resulted in the destruction of two pipelines, on orders of President Biden, with international implications yet to be determined. And six decades ago, so the histories of those years have it, a small group of Norwegian seamen were entangled in a presidential deceit that led to an early—and bloody—turning point in the Vietnam war.

  6. NEWSWEEK – Who is Matthew Tyrmand? Project Veritas Board Member Under Scrutiny

Matthew Tyrmand is one of the Project Veritas board of directors, which on Monday made a series of allegations about the conduct of the controversial organization’s founder and now-former CEO James O’Keefe.

Project Veritas describes itself as conducting undercover reporting to expose “corruption, dishonesty, self-dealing, waste, fraud, and other misconduct in both public and private institutions.” However, the organization’s reportage has often been seen as false or misleading.

On Monday, O’Keefe posted a video in which he claimed that he had been removed as the group’s leader, prompting concern from Republican figures and a mass exodus of Twitter followers.

In response, the Project Veritas board of directors put out a statement in which it said it had not fired him, but claimed it had discovered “financial malfeasance” on O’Keefe’s part. Newsweek has contacted O’Keefe for comment on the allegations.

Who Are the Project Veritas Board Members?

According to tax-exemption filings with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) from 2019, Tyrmand is listed as a director of Project Veritas, along with Colin Sharkey and John K. Garvey. More recent records are not listed.

George Skakel was identified by Intelligencer as another long-serving board member. He is not listed on recent IRS filings for Project Veritas, but is listed as a director on filings for Project Veritas Action, a related organization, along with Joseph Barton.

Many angered by the departure of O’Keefe on social media have blamed Tyrmand.

Michael Swartz, found of frat gear providers Old Row, claimed Tyrmand was the “ringleader” in a “coup” that led to the ousting of O’Keefe. Tyrmand was also fingered as leading the alleged coup by Alex Bruesewitz, a conservative political strategist.

Tyrmand has worked for Breitbart, a far-right online outlet, and according to The Associated Press in 2021 lost a years-long legal battle with a Polish journalist who described him as part of a global war against democracy.

On social media, he jocularly describes himself as a New York City “public school survivor” and “Deputy Minister at Ministry of Sillywalks.” According to his LinkedIn profile, he attended Midwood High School in Brooklyn, New York, before studying at the University of Chicago.

After spending time at several finance firms in the noughties, from 2012 he has provided consulting for companies and think tanks through Matthew Tyrmand LLC, listed as being located in lower Manhattan.

In September 2013, Tyrmand published a book about his life as the son of Leopold Tyrmand, a Polish Jewish novelist from Warsaw who published Z?y (The Man With White Eyes, in English), a bestseller, and was active in the Polish jazz scene as well as being described as an anti-communist.

In the blurb for his book, Tyrmand said despite his father dying when he was only four years old, he had inherited “a disagreement with stupid ideologies and a tendency to talk.”

“When my mother is furious, she says that I am as sure of my opinion as he is, just as stubborn, and just as convinced of my indestructibility,” he added.

Tyrmand wrote that he lives in “two worlds,” stating: “In America, I roam around Brooklyn and make money on Wall Street. In Poland, I love women and I drink mad dogs [a fortified wine].”

Conservatives on social media have also been critical of his recent comments about Donald Trump. Speaking on the Patriot Talk Show at a Florida’s Voice panel on February 7, Tyrmand said Trump “does not belong in this [2024 presidential] race,” accusing the former president of “flailing around” and showing “total clown behavior.”

Bruesewitz, who is pictured on his Twitter profile speaking at a Trump rally, described his comments as “unhinged.”

Newsweek has contacted Tyrmand and Project Veritas for comment.

the gateway pundit – Project Veritas BEGS Donors Not to Abandon Them in Leaked Email

Project Veritas is begging donors not to abandon them after the board of directors removed James O’Keefe from the company he founded, according to a leaked email.

Since O’Keefe was removed from the organization, Project Veritas has lost hundreds of thousands of followers on social media.

“We hope that you might continue to give us a chance,” the email, obtained by Jack Posobiec, begged donors. “We can’t stress how separate the board’s role is from daily operations here at PV. We are still grinding and pursuing stories of great public importance.”
    e-mail – pdf – (5 pages)

“We understand and share your frustrations,” the email continued. “We all love and respect James and hope he returns. This is difficult for everyone.”

Addressing O’Keefe’s status at the organization, the email said that “he specifically said he did not resign, and the board did not fire him.”

The board claimed he was only placed on “temporary suspension until the audit was completed” after allegations that he was using “donations for private benefit.”

“The board placed him on a temporary suspension until the audit was completed,” the email reads, “The board wanted him to delegate management of staff to the department heads so he can focus his true talent, efforts, and best use of his time on the journalism/stories and less on the day-to-day personnel management.”

The email continued, “he has been invited, but has chosen not to, engage in conversations with the board and management following steps taken so far wiht the goal of returning to Project Veritas.”

“Instead,” the email goes on, “he requested no change in authority and that mose of the officers and all of the board of directors immediately resign.”

  7. Elon Musk Says Nobody ‘Pushing’ Ukraine Conflict More Than US Diplomat Victoria Nuland

Nobody is pushing for conflict in Ukraine harder than US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland, Twitter CEO Elon Musk said on Wednesday.

“Nobody is pushing this war more than Nuland,” Musk said via Twitter.

Musk’s statement came in response to a US media report covering Russia’s reaction to recent comments by Nuland in support of strikes on Crimea. Nuland’s support for strikes on Crimea confirm the United States’ intimate involvement in the Ukraine conflict, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

On Tuesday, former US President Donald Trump also criticized Nuland by name for her role in promoting conflict, claiming she and other US officials are “obsessed” with pushing Ukraine into NATO.

Victoria Nuland has served in positions across the US government, including NATO Ambassador, State Department Spokesperson and Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.

In 2014, a leaked conversation purportedly between Nuland and then-US Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt revealed that the US officials were discussing who they would like to see take power in Ukraine among opposition leaders.

In January 2022, Nuland said Nord Stream 2 would “not move forward” if Russia launched an operation in Ukraine, foreshadowing the US’s responsibility for the attack revealed by journalist Seymour Hersh earlier this month.

In December, Nuland said that the Biden administration is gratified to know the Nord Stream 2 pipeline is a “hunk of metal” at the bottom of the sea.

Nobody is pushing this war more than Nuland

the independent UK – Elon Musk mocked for claiming ‘no one’ pushing Ukraine war more than US diplomat: ‘Putin for example?’

Nuland called for demilitarisation of Russia-annexed Crimea

Elon Musk has been criticised by Twitter users after he accused US under secretary of state for political affairs Victoria Nuland of warmongering in the Ukraine invasion.

The chief executive of Tesla, Twitter and SpaceX weighed in on the Ukraine crisis on Wednesday after controversial psychologist Jordan Peterson shared a Newsweek story carrying a Russian journalist’s remarks critical of the US.

Russian journalist Igor Korotchenko claimed on state TV that the US had declared war against his country, said the Newsweek article.

The journalist slammed the White House for its support for Ukrainian strikes in the peninsula that was annexed by Russia in 2014.

The report also carried Ms Nuland’s comments on Crimea that said the US wanted the peninsula to be demilitarised and that it supported Ukrainian attacks on military targets there.

“No matter what the Ukrainians decide about Crimea in terms of where they choose to fight etcetera, Ukraine is not going to be safe unless Crimea is at a minimum, at a minimum, demilitarised,” Ms Nuland had told the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington.

“Nobody is pushing this war more than Nuland,” the outspoken Twitter chief said in his reply to Jordan Peterson.

The comments were criticised on Mr Musk’s own platform, including by some Russian users.

“Putin, for example. No?” said Russian politician and lawyer Ivan Zhdanov.

Leonid Volkov, chief of staff to Russian opposition politician Alexey Navalny, also waded into the fray. “Nobody is pushing this war but Putin,” he said.

Former Canadian diplomat and minister Chris Alexander called Mr Musk’s comments disinformation “marching orders arriving from Moscow” and called him “a truly pathetic shill”.

Louise Daphne Mensch, a British blogger and novelist, lashed out at Mr Musk “for letting fools embarrass you”.

“This morning you tweeted about how a totally FAKE ‘news article’ screenshot, no link, by one of your cronies, about the US and the WHO was ‘concerning’. Why do you let these people make an idiot out of you?” she said.

Earlier this month, Mr Musk was called out for restricting the availability of his Starlink satellite high-speed broadband service to Ukraine.

He said “we are not allowing Starlink to be used for long-range drone strikes” and later said “Starlink is meant for peaceful use only”.

After Mr Putin’s forces relentlessly targeted Ukraine’s telecommunications infrastructure with missile strikes, Kyiv started using SpaceX’s technology as a source of uninterrupted, independent and secure internet access, enabling lines of communication to remain open with its troops on the frontline of the conflict in the south and east.

It led to US secretary of state Antony Blinken to hold a conversation with Mr Musk about the use of Starlink satellite internet in Ukraine.

European Union countries on Thursday failed to agree on a new set of sanctions against Russia that they had planned to have in place for the one-year anniversary of Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine on Friday, diplomatic sources told Reuters.

The 27 EU countries need to agree unanimously to introduce sanctions.

The sources said Poland was blocking the package over proposed exemptions to a ban on EU imports of Russian synthetic rubber.

Polish diplomats said the exemptions were so big they would render the sanctions ineffective.

Other sources said the exemptions were proposed to accommodate Italy, backed by Germany.

Representatives of the member states were due to meet again at 0900 GMT on Friday – the day Russia invaded Ukraine last year – to try seal a deal, according to the sources.

    • the gateway pundit – Jeffrey Sachs: UN Must Investigate Nord Stream Bombing and “Bring Perpetrator to Justice”

My name is Jeffrey D. Sachs. I am University Professor at Columbia University. I am a specialist in the global economy, including global trade, finance, infrastructure, and economic statecraft. I appear before the UN Security Council on my own behalf. I represent no government or organization in the testimony that I will deliver.

The destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines on September 26, 2022 constitutes an act of international terrorism and represents a threat to the peace. It is the responsibility of the UN Security Council to take up the question of who might have carried out the act, in order to bring the perpetrator to international justice, to pursue compensation for the damaged parties, and to prevent future such actions.

The consequences of the destruction of Nord Stream 2 are enormous. They include not only the vast economic losses related to the pipelines themselves and their future potential use, but also the heightened threat to transboundary infrastructure of all kinds: submarine internet cables, international pipelines for gas and hydrogen, transboundary power transmission, offshore wind farms, and more. The global transformation to green energy will require considerable transboundary infrastructure, including in international waters. Countries need to have full confidence that their infrastructure will not be destroyed by third parties. Some European countries have recently expressed concern over the safety of their offshore infrastructure.

For all of these reasons, the investigation by the UN Security Council of the Nord Stream explosions is a high global priority.

The destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines required a very high degree of planning, expertise, and technological capacity. The Nord Stream 2 pipelines are a marvel of engineering (see, for example, here and here). Each section of pipe is rolled steel of 4.5 cm thickness, and with a pipeline internal diameter of 1.15 meters. The pipe is encased in concrete of 10.9 cm thickness. The weight of each section of concrete-encased pipe is 24 metric tons. The Nord Stream 2 pipelines, some 1,200 kilometers in length, contain around 200,000 pipes. The pipelines sit on the sea floor.

Destroying a pipeline of heavy rolled steel, encased in concrete, at the depth of 70-90 meters, requires highly advanced technologies for transportation of the explosives, diving to install the explosives, and detonation. To do so undetected, in the exclusive economic zones of Denmark and Sweden, adds greatly to the complexity of the operation. As a number of senior officials have confirmed, an action of this sort must have been carried out by a state-level actor.

Only a handful of state-level actors have both the technical capacity and access to the Baltic Sea to have carried out this action. These include Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Poland, Norway, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden, either individually or in some combination. Ukraine lacks the necessary technologies, as well as access to the Baltic Sea.

A recent report by the Washington Post revealed that the intelligence agencies of the NATO countries have privately concluded that there is no evidence whatsoever that Russia carried out this action. This also comports with the fact that Russia had no obvious motive to carry out this act of terrorism on its own critical infrastructure. Indeed, Russia is likely to bear considerable expenses to repair the pipelines.

Three countries have reportedly carried out investigations of the Nord Stream terrorism: Denmark, Germany, and Sweden. These countries presumably know much about the circumstances of the terrorist attack. Sweden, in particular, has perhaps the most to tell the world about the crime scene, which its divers investigated. Yet instead of sharing this information globally, Sweden has kept the results of its investigation secret from the rest of the world. Sweden has refused to share its findings with Russia, and turned down a joint investigation with Denmark and Germany. In the interest of global peace, the UN Security Council should require these countries to immediately turn over the results of their investigations to the UN Security Council.

There is only one detailed account to date of the Nord Stream destruction, the one recently put forward by investigative journalist Seymour Hersh, ostensibly based on information leaked to Hersh by an unnamed source. Hersh attributes the Nord Stream destruction to a decision ordered by US President Joe Biden and carried out by US agents in a covert operation that Hersh describes in detail. The White House has described Hersh’s account as “completely and utterly false,” but did not offer any information contradicting Hersh’s account and did not offer any alternative explanation.

Senior US officials made statements before and after the Nord Stream destruction that showed the US animus towards the pipelines. On January 27, 2022, Under-Secretary of State Victoria Nuland tweeted, “If Russia invades Ukraine, one way or another, Nord Stream 2 will not move forward.” On February 7, 2022, President Biden said, “If Russia invades… again, then there will be longer Nord Stream 2. We will bring an end to it.” When asked by the reporter how he would do that, he responded, “I promise you we will be able to do it.”

On September 30, 2022 immediately following the terrorist attack on the pipeline, Secretary of State Antony Blinken declared that the destruction of the pipeline is “also a tremendous opportunity. It’s a tremendous opportunity to once and for all remove the dependence on Russian energy and thus to take away from Vladimir Putin the weaponization of energy as a means of advancing his imperial designs.” On January 28, 2023, Under-Secretary Nuland declared to Senator Ted Cruz, “I am, and I think the administration is, very gratified to know that Nord Stream 2 is now, as you like to say, a hunk of metal at the bottom of the sea.”

Such language is not at all appropriate in the face of international terrorism. I hope that the US together with all other Security Council members will condemn this heinous act of international terrorism and join together in an urgent UNSC-led investigation of this international crime in order to determine the truth. The truth is not yet known by the world, but it is knowable.

More than ever, the world depends on the UN Security Council to do its work to stop the escalation to a new world war. The world will be safe only when the permanent members work together diplomatically to solve global crises, including the war in Ukraine and the rising tensions in East Asia. The UN Security Council provides the unique global venue for that peace-affirming work. More than ever, we need a healthy, functioning UN Security Council carrying out the mission assigned to it by the UN Charter.

A UN Security Council objective investigation of the Nord Stream terrorism, in which all countries contribute what they know, is important for the global confidence in this body and most importantly, for global peace and sustainable development.

As of yet, no details have emerged regarding the specifics of the multibillion dollar experimental injection contracts.

OTTAWA (LifeSiteNews) — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal cabinet is demanding that Members of Parliament (MPs) take an oath of secrecy if they want to view the terms of the government’s multibillion dollar COVID-19 vaccine contracts.

Members of the House of Commons public accounts committee labelled the demand – which amounts to the signing of a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) – a dangerous precedent for transparency in the Canadian government.

Blacklock’s Reporter wrote that for two years numerous MPs have been seeking access to the terms of the deals the Liberal government made with vaccine manufacturers AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Medicago, Moderna, Novavax, Pfizer and Sanofi.

As of yet, no details have emerged regarding the specifics of the contracts, even though $1 billion worth of COVID vaccines have expired.

Liberal MPs on the accounts committee have said that non-liberals can see the details only if they swear not to reveal any of the information.

Liberal MP Anthony Housefather stated: “We want to make sure confidentiality is respected.”

Conservative MP Kelly McCauley said that it “sounds like they’re trying to protect the government and not the taxpayers.” “It makes you ask, what’s next?” he added.

Chair of the committee Conservative MP John Williamson asked the Liberals, “what are you trying to guard against?”

Housefather replied that his “concern would be that something came out,” without explaining to what exactly this concern pertained.

Housefather seemed to allude that the Liberals didn’t get the best deal or may have been overcharged, saying that the deals “were signed at a highly unusual time right at the beginning of the pandemic when vaccines were very scarce and suppliers had a great deal of leverage.”

Bloc Québécois MP Nathalie Sinclair-Desgagné opined that “it’s to their advantage that this remain confidential.”

Isn’t this a mechanism to bind the regulator’s discretion?

    • Elon Musk Appears to Suggest He Has Information Proving the Entire COVID Pandemic Response Was a Scam

On Wednesday, Twitter CEO Elon Musk appeared to suggest that he had information that would prove the entire COVID pandemic response was a scam.

Over the past several months, Musk has released the ‘Twitter Files,’ showing widespread government collusion with the tech giant. He has also teased upcoming Fauci Files which have been delayed due to a ‘key researcher.’

While responding to a tweet, Musk appeared to suggest that he had bombshell information.

“When will everybody admit the whole Covid-19 ‘pandemic’ response was a scam?” popular influencer Zuby asked on Twitter.

      “It’s coming,” Musk replied.

Back in late January, I released a tweet calling on the Twitter CEO to release the Fauci Files.

“Elon Musk appears to speak out against COVID booster shots, saying “I felt like I was dying” adding that his cousin got myocarditis,” I tweeted. “@elonmusk, now would be a great time to drop the Fauci Files!”

Musk replied by giving an update on the Fauci Files release.

“That is a little delayed, as a key researcher can only travel to Twitter in early Feb,” Musk said. We are still waiting for this update.

Back in December, Musk slammed Dr. Anthony Fauci and his wife Christine Grady’s when he exposed their corrupt working relationship.

The comments from Musk came in a series of tweets where he unleashed on Fauci for his questionable past relating to his so-called “gain-of-function” research.

“Fauci bypassed the moratorium on gain-of-function research to fund dangerous projects like EcoHealth Alliance’s work in Wuhan,” said an account on Twitter. “He then worked internally to changed NIH’s definition of GoF to evade culpability. In 2022, he awarded more $ to Peter Daszak for more GoF research.”

““Gain-of-function” should be called “bioweapon” research, as the function referred is death! What was the name changed to this time?” Musk replied.

““Gain-of-function” in this context is just another way of saying “bioweapon”. Some good nuggets in article. Important to note that Fauci authored 2012 paper arguing for gain-of-function research! Obama wisely put this on pause, but Fauci restarted it,” Musk tweeted as he attached an article from Yahoo News.

Musk continued, “Despite these glaring issues, Twitter nonetheless had an internal Slack channel unironically called “Fauci Fan Club””

In the same Twitter thread, Musk called out Fauci and his wife’s corrupt working relationship, noting how she works as the head of bioethics at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) which also just so happens to be the entity that is responsible for holding Fauci accountable.

“Almost no one seems to realize that the head of bioethics at NIH – the person who is supposed to make sure that Fauci behaves ethically – is his wife,” Musk tweeted.

    • Ukraine’s invasion of Transnistria to be aggression against Moldova, ex-president says

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that in the near future, the Kiev regime would plot a provocation against Transnistria.

Ex-Moldovan President Igor Dodon has voiced concerns over reports of a possible provocation against Transnistria by Ukraine, warning that any military incursion would be deemed an act of aggression against Moldova.

“Any step by Ukraine towards Transnistria will be aggression against the Republic of Moldova.” “Ukraine will immediately become an aggressor,” Dodon told reporters on Thursday.

The politician said he opposes a military solution to the Transnistrian issue. “We don’t need your assistance on Transnistria, deal with your own matters.” We will deal with Transnistria ourselves, this is our territory, our country, and we will solve this problem peacefully. “Not the way they want, namely by deploying forces and so on,” the ex-president said.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that in the near future the Kiev regime was plotting a provocation against Transnistria that would be carried out by the Ukrainian forces and members of the Azov nationalist battalion (outlawed in Russia). It specified that a staged invasion, allegedly by Russian troops from Transnistria, would be used as a pretext for the invasion. The Defense Ministry also stressed that it was closely monitoring the situation on the border between Ukraine and Transnistria and was ready to respond to any developments.

The Moldovan government has not confirmed this information and appealed to citizens to be calm. The authorities said in case of any danger they would immediately inform the public.

US Hegemony and Its Perils (February 2023)

      I. Political Hegemony—Throwing Its Weight Around
II. Military Hegemony—Wanton Use of Force?
      III. Economic Hegemony—Looting and Exploitation
      IV. Technological Hegemony—Monopoly and Suppression
      V. Cultural Hegemony—Spreading False Narratives

Since becoming the world’s most powerful country after the two world wars and the Cold War, the United States has acted more boldly to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, pursue, maintain and abuse hegemony, advance subversion and infiltration, and willfully wage wars, bringing harm to the international community.

The United States has developed a hegemonic playbook to stage “color revolutions,” instigate regional disputes, and even directly launch wars under the guise of promoting democracy, freedom and human rights. Clinging to the Cold War mentality, the United States has ramped up bloc politics and stoked conflict and confrontation. It has overstretched the concept of national security, abused export controls and forced unilateral sanctions upon others. It has taken a selective approach to international law and rules, utilizing or discarding them as it sees fit, and has sought to impose rules that serve its own interests in the name of upholding a “rules-based international order.”

This report, by presenting the relevant facts, seeks to expose the U.S. abuse of hegemony in the political, military, economic, financial, technological and cultural fields, and to draw greater international attention to the perils of the U.S. practices to world peace and stability and the well-being of all peoples.

  11. The chairman of the House Oversight Committee James Comer (R-Ky) has written to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and USAID Administrator Samantha Power to demand a full accounting of the $113 billion in taxpayer funds the Biden regime has provided to the corrupt regime in Kiev.

While National Security spokesman John Kirby claimed not to have seen “any signs” of corruption in Ukraine, Comer pointed out these claims “came one day after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky fired several top Ukrainian officials amid a corruption scandal.” Providing US taxpayer funds in a war zone “comes with an inherent risk of fraud, waste, and abuse,” Comer wrote, noting that “unrealistic timelines and expectations that prioritize spending quickly lead to increased corruption.”

    • “Not vilna” Bukovina – all of a sudden it rises up, explodes
      You may not be Romanian

It is believed that Western Ukraine is almost completely loyal to Kyiv. If there are still a lot of questions about Transcarpathia in this sense, then Bukovina is beyond suspicion. Alas, but people who do not know very well think so history and ethnic specificity of the region.

The fact is that now, in addition to Russia, the interests of three countries at once may clash there: Ukraine, Romania and Moldova. Most of Bukovina, together with Chernivtsi, was first part of the Moldavian principality, then in the Bessarabian province of the Russian Empire…

Do not confuse the situation of Bukovina and Transcarpathia.

Hungarians and Romanians are very different in mentality. If the Hungarians remember the times of their kingdom, as well as what they achieved even as part of the Austrian Empire, then the Romanians are calmer, and they do not have so many ambitions.

The overthrow of the dictator Ceausescu in Romania began precisely because of the Szekely Hungarians there, and specifically because of the repression of the Catholic Church in Transylvania. And the Hungarian uprisings against Soviet power were fundamentally different from the Czech and Polish events.

If they only went to rallies with anti-Soviet slogans, then the Hungarians gouged out the eyes of Soviet officers. One can also recall the fighters of the GDR army, who raged the most in Prague, apparently taking revenge for the deportation of the German diaspora from Czechoslovakia, specifically, about how they behaved in Hungary.

So, in Budapest, the East Germans were quiet and calm, obviously out of fear of running into the troubles that the Soviet army ran into. Therefore, in Transcarpathia, there will clearly not be the massive expansion that Budapest, which supports Russia and Putin, is trying to pull off…

        • I’ve never been able to digest it properly. It just makes me sick.

  14. Google blocks news content for some Canadians in response to online news bill

The tech giant recently launched a five-week test that will impact the way news results appear for a small percentage of users.

OTTAWA — Google says it has started limiting what kinds of news content some Canadians see on its search engine as part of a test intended to inform the tech giant’s response to the federal government’s online news bill.

As first reported by The Canadian Press, the company confirmed to the Star late Wednesday that it is “briefly testing potential product responses” to the proposed legislation, affecting less than four per cent of Canadians who use the world’s most popular search engine.

At issue is Bill C-18, or the Online News Act, which would compel web giants like Facebook and Google to share some of the revenue they make from posting news content on their platforms with the media outlets that produce the stories.

But the company has long battled Ottawa over the bill, which was introduced last spring as a way to support a shrinking journalism industry that has seen tech titans dominate the digital advertising market.

“We’ve been fully transparent about our concern that C-18 is overly broad and, if unchanged, could impact products Canadians use and rely on every day. We remain committed to supporting a sustainable future for news in Canada and offering solutions that fix Bill C-18,” a statement from Google read.

The test, which began recently, a company source said, will run for approximately five weeks. Google would not discuss the exact changes made to the search engine for Canadians captured within the test.

The source, who spoke confidentially to discuss the test, confirmed that the test does impact the way Canadian and global news results appear to varying degrees. There are different streams within the test, meaning that the small portion of Canadians affected may see different results when searching for a news topic.

The company conducts “thousands” of such tests each year, none of which are publicly disclosed when they are launched. In fact, Google was not planning on making this particular test known to the public: it only did so after The Canadian Press queried the company about unusual search results. The majority of tests tend not to result in concrete changes to Google’s services.

It’s not the first time Google has launched an attack against other attempts to seek payment for news sharing on online platforms. The company once axed its Google News service in Spain for seven years after the country sought a monthly licensing fee for publishers whose content was linked on the platform. It also threatened to pull its search engine from Australia over that country’s News Media Bargaining Code, upon which Canada’s legislation is based.

Back in October, Meta threatened to block Canadians from sharing news on Facebook — a move it followed through within Australia — due to its own concerns with the bill.

Laura Scaffidi, a spokesperson for Heritage Minister Pablo Rodriguez said it was “disappointing to hear that Google seems to be borrowing from Facebook’s playbook.”

“This didn’t work in Australia, and it won’t work here because Canadians won’t be intimidated. At the end of the day, all we’re asking the tech giants to do is compensate journalists when they use their work. Canadians need to have access to quality, fact-based news at the local and national levels, and that’s why we introduced the Online News Act. Tech giants need to be more transparent and accountable to Canadians,” the statement read.

For several months, Google has called for several amendments to the bill, including striking or limiting a section of the proposed legislation that would block platforms from giving “undue or unreasonable preference” to certain news content. Because the company ranks content based on its legitimacy, it has argued that this section could force the global search engine to treat serious news and misinformation equally.

Google is also looking for language changes that would make it more clear that online platforms would have to pay publishers only in cases where it displays the content of the news article — not simply linking to them.

Because the bill is currently being studied in the Senate, a federal source said Ottawa’s response to Google’s threat is to let senators do their jobs by debating the bill. The government remains open to continuing conversations with the tech giant, the source said.

Torstar, which publishes the Toronto Star, has lobbied Ottawa regarding the bill. In 2021, Torstar also struck a deal, along with a number of other publishers, to join Google’s News Showcase service, which helps direct traffic back to news websites.

The repeat offender went on to hit a Tennessee teenage volleyball player walking in St. Louis City last week — and the young girl lost her legs after she was pinned to another vehicle. In September 2011, Flynn was promoted to Lieutenant General and assigned as assistant director of national intelligence in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI). Pence resisted the grand jury subpoena for his testimony about Trump’s efforts to challenge the 2020 election.

Earlier this month it was reported that the special counsel overseeing the investigations into Trump has subpoenaed Mike Pence.

According to Politico, rather than assert executive privilege, Pence will argue that as president of the Senate, he was acting as a member of the legislative branch on January 6 and is therefore protected by the DOJ’s demands.

Pence previously told reporters he will take the fight all the way to the Supreme Court.

“On the day of January 6, I was acting as president of the Senate, presiding over a joint session described in the Constitution itself. So, I believe that that Speech and Debate clause of the Constitution actually prohibits the executive branch from compelling me to appear in a court, as the Constitution says, or in any other place,” Pence told reporters in Iowa last week.

  24. Crew tried to prevent toxic East Palestine train derailment: NTSB
    By Ben Kesslen

    February 23, 2023 | 1:50pm

Crew members tried in vain to prevent the train carrying hazardous materials through East Palestine, Ohio, from derailing, a government report released Thursday said.

The train, which was traveling three miles below its maximum authorized speed, passed by a hot bearing detector in Palestine, Ohio, on Feb. 3 that registered a temperature 253 degrees above normal.

The sensor “transmitted a critical audible alarm message instructing the crew to slow and stop the train to inspect a hot axle,” which the crew immediately listened to, according to the report by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).

As the crew worked to slow the vehicle, “the train engineer increased the dynamic brake application to further slow and stop the train,” NTSB investigators said.

When the train came to a stop, crew members noticed a fire, and immediately called the Cleveland East dispatcher, warning about a possible derailment. After receiving authorization, the crew “applied handbrakes to the two railcars at the head of the train, uncoupled the head-end locomotives, and moved the locomotives about 1 mile from the uncoupled railcars,” the report said.

The short report comes as Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg arrived in East Palestine on Thursday to visit the derailment site.

Both Buttigieg and Norfolk Southern have come under intense scrutiny from residents, who believe they were exposed to toxic materials that will negatively impact their health and don’t think the government and the company have done enough to protect them.

“This is an explosion of cancers waiting to happen. And you won’t see it for years — sometimes five, 10, 20 years. This is scary stuff,” attorney Michael Barasch, who represented those sickened by the 9/11 collapse of the World Trade Center, told The Post on Wednesday.

An Antifa militant has been charged with 16 felonies for leading a group that brutally attacked Trump supporting teenagers in San Diego two years ago.
Brian Cortez Lightfoot, Jr., 26, of Los Angeles, is one of 10 Antifa members indicted by a San Diego County grand jury over a Jan. 9, 2021, riot in Pacific Beach.

Andy Ngo reports for the Post Millenial that “so far, six Antifa defendants took plea deals over their role in the attack and are awaiting sentencing. Lightfoot is among the remaining five who face trial in March if they do not take plea deals before then.”

According to the 2022 grand jury indictment, Lightfoot was part of a mob that surrounded victims and sprayed and shoved them to the ground, while other Antifa members used umbrellas to block the view of the assaults,” Ngo’s report explains. “Lightfoot, accused of using ‘reinforced Kevlar gloves,’ and his co-conspirators allegedly punched and kicked victims. Prosecutors allege that Lightfoot and his co-conspirators chased after and caught their victims when they tried to flee.”

Lightfoot was also carrying Frontiersman Bear Spray, which is ten times the potency of mace used by the department.

  28. As Lebanon Disintegrates, Nasrallah Incites War

In recent days, a rash of angry demonstrations have torn across Lebanon’s urban centers, with banks the focus of particular outrage after the lira lost 98% of its value. With this background, Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah made a televised address on Feb. 16, 2023, to praise the Iranian people’s “massive participation” in nationwide rallies celebrating the Islamic Revolution’s anniversary, disregarding the civil disorder in his own nation and the continuing anti-regime protests across Iran.

Nasrallah revealed that all of Lebanon’s travails are the fault of the “Great Satan,” thundering: “I tell the American government that if they want to sow chaos in Lebanon, you will lose everything. If you push Lebanon into chaos, we are ready to use our arms against your protege, Israel….”

In Lebanon’s current reality, even the middle classes have been reduced to considering sending their children to orphanages for their own survival, while people die due to a lack of medication for preventable diseases.

Meanwhile, Hizbullah commanders – with their luxury SUVs, access to dollars and foreign goods – having grown fat on narcotics smuggling revenues, are insulated from economic ruination. But their opulent lifestyle in upmarket Beirut neighborhoods will abruptly end if war were really to reach Lebanon’s shores…

  29. Israel needs to chart its own course with respect to China

Israel’s alliance with the United States is the cornerstone of its foreign policy and should remain so. But a preponderance of common interests is not the same as an identity of common interests…

China’s economic interests in the region center on the Persian Gulf and Israel. China shares with Israel a common interest in stopping Iran from destabilizing the region. Henry Kissinger’s observation that the United States has no friends, only interests, applies to China as well.

Israel has made a firm commitment to the United States to withhold military technology from China. But American policy now focuses on suppressing the technological advance of China’s civilian economy as well as its military capacity. This effort is unlikely to succeed. Indeed, no established power has ever succeeded in holding back a challenger by hoarding know-how…

Israel should stick to its commitment to withhold military technology from China, while proactively exploring collaboration with China in agricultural, environmental, medical and other non-military fields. It should monitor but not necessarily exclude Chinese investment in Israeli companies, and find new ways of using the soft power of its technology sector to influence China’s perception of Israel…
Won't do a bit of good.

Washington won’t like this, any more than it liked Israel’s refusal to provide arms to Ukraine this year, but its authority to dictate policy to Jerusalem has well-defined limits. The main fact on the ground is that America doesn’t need Persian Gulf oil and China does. That presents opportunities as well as risks for Israel, and Israel should put its own security interests first.
US policy toward Israel becomes increasingly unpredictable. The trend on both left and right is worrisome. The left is openly, sharply anti-Israel/Jew. The right is still mostly positive, but may not be reliable. Read the comments threads of conservative blogs, see how scapegoating is in-your-face immediate.
