Here is a link to the VladTepesBlog social media Mastodon Pod. Please feel free to check it out and sign up for an account if you are sufficiently annoyed with Twitter and Facebook to try something new.

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. The Democrats are literally reverse-engineering progress
    By Andrea Widburg
One of the best books I’ve read is Steven Pinker’s 2011 book, The Better Angels of Our Nature: Why Violence Has Declined. Pinker argues that, despite the horrific convulsions of the 20th century and the first decade of the 21st century, Western man had improved—if you believe, as I do, that a civil society controlled by law and order is an improvement over the stone-age model of endless warfare and violence. The Z Man has written a thought-provoking essay arguing that Democrat policies over the last few decades have reversed this trend, not just politically, but at a biological level.

  2. Garland’s special counsel appointment more sinister than just Getting Trump
    By Monica Showalter
Even as the nakedly political aspect of Attorney General Merrick Garland’s naming of a a special counsel to investigate President Trump is obvious enough, there are some puzzling aspects.

Why, for example, is the Biden administration doing this after all of the ongoing investigations against President Trump have manifestly failed? Garland claimed that both aspects of the special counsel’s investigation would focus on President Trump, one of which would be his role in the January 6 incident at the Capitol, and the other on his personal papers dispute dating from the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago last August. January 6 has been investigated ad nauseum by Trump’s biggest opponents in Congress and come up empty, and just days ago, the FBI sheepishly admitted that its unprecedented SWAT-style raid on the former president’s Mar-a-Lago home in search of stolen nuclear secrets hyped in the press was a nothingburger, they found nothing. (Wonder how much they paid their informant for that bum tip and who the heck put that scammer on payroll?)

Obviously, they don’t want these bids to fail, they don’t want the January 6 commission to see its demise with the incoming Congress, and they desperately want their raid to be justified by a prosecutor who can

  3. A good near-hour of Jim Rickards explaining the complex-system supply-chain mess, inflation and deflation, cbdc etc.

I don’t necessarily buy into the theory he mentions regarding terminal interest rates. This is an idea held by the Fed that inflation will come down even if rates do not match or surpass the real rate of inflation which, if calculated the old way includes food and fuel to the tune of 15%+. It posits that simply by holding nominal rates at 5-6% for a long enough time it will have the desired effect. My counter argument is that, as all living creatures know or can probably feel, time is a luxury. We all have plans that can or will be undermined by a time deficit–aka death.

The death of the dollar as we know it has not only been long-understood by the Austrians, but is now openly advertised by the launch of CBDC “trials”. With ONE-THOUSAND TRILLION DOLLARS in financial derivatives floating around the planet (mostly in USD but also in Euros), how long can it last? Wanna bet on it? Didn’t think so. It is an unimaginable scale.

Fiat currency, like communism, are both utopian ideals that come with the same tired refrain–“Do it right this time…”. Unfortunately for both the fly in their ointments are the weak human link. Greed and power always rival love in the struggle of humanity. I’ve never heard it put this way, but I will go so far as to say that the Constitution of the United States at its most fundamental core is the greatest human testimony to love ever written.

The goal of Mark Carney and other proponents of CBDCs is the antithesis of this expression. And make no mistake, even the Keynesians are apprised of the average duration of world reserve currencies, which is one-hundred years give-or-take, until they succumb to their own debt burdens and hence coinage dilution. Therefore, given the Keynesian awareness of this time frame, for how long do they believe we can be enslaved by the globalist’s new world currency? At minimum 100 years, with the caveat that the total control this system promises extends the timeline essentially forever.

This is global and is going to ensnare many seemingly smart people who mistakenly believed that if you engaged in cyber currency transactions you could hide from law enforcement. Whoops!! They apparently did not take the time to understand block chain. The security of block chain will be their undoing.

The US government is using taxpayers’ money to create a video game as a “psychological vaccination against fake news,” according to a leaked State Department memo obtained by America First Legal (AFL) and reviewed by Foundation for Freedom Online (FFO).

The State Department’s Global Engagement Center (GEC) released a memo on October 31, 2022, with the subject line “Cat Park: A New Online Game to Inoculate Youth Against Disinformation,” which describes a plan to launch a new tax-funded online game.

The Global Engagement Center (GEC) and U.S. Embassy The Hague are pleased to announce the launch of a new online counter-disinformation game, Cat Park (,” the memo reads.

“Cat Park builds on the success of the first game funded by GEC, Harmony Square. Cat Park inoculates players against real-world disinformation by showing how sensational headlines, memes, and manipulated media can be used to advance conspiracy theories and incite real-world violence. The game, available now in English, Dutch, French, and Russian (with more language versions to come based on post requests), helps players discern between reliable and unreliable information,” according to the summary of the memo.

the Federalist, Jordan Boyd offers up a proposed agenda for the new House of Representatives. The Republicans have won a majority. How great is still to be determined. Officially the count is 218, but Lauren Boebert’s opposition, Adam Frisch, conceded. If the certification matches the ballot count that would make the total 219, and they are still counting two districts in California in which the Republican candidates are leading so the count may be as high as 221.Certification of results in at least one county in Arizona are being held up pending examination of the voting machines, and other counties may follow. So the final totals the Republican majority are still not known.

    Boyd begins:

GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy already released an agenda he thinks Republicans should execute come 2023, but his legislative desires for a red House are too innocuous and unlikely to survive a Democrat Senate and presidency anyway.

Leading up to the 2020 Election, the Biden Administration was trying to sell Americans on the idea that the economy was doing great. This, of course, was a lie. It turns out that Joe Biden saying that the economy is good is like FTX claiming that its books are sound.

I’m going to “reverse gaslight” you. What does that mean

Well “gaslighting” is when government bureaucrats, politicians, media, corporations and all the evil people in power lie to you; defraud you; smother you with propaganda; brainwash you; and try to convince you that what you see right in front of you…with your own two eyes…is not true. That the lies they tell you are more important than the raw truth you can see right in front of you.

In my last column about the obviously rigged 2022 Midterms, I listed many of ways and times you’ve been gaslighted in just the past few years. It’s a stunning list…

They lied to you about open borders…they lied about Hillary’s 30,000 deleted emails…they lied about spying on Trump…they lied about Russian Collusion…they lied about a perfectly fine Ukrainian phone call…they lied about massive Biden corruption in Ukraine and China… they lied about the Hunter Biden laptop…they lied about the origins of Covid…they lied about the need for lockdowns and masks…they lied about the need for Covid vaccines…they lied about the vaccines being “safe and effective”…they lied and covered up all the deaths and injuries from the vaccine…they lied about the success of miracle drugs Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin…and they lied about the stolen 2020 election…and just days ago, they lied again about the clearly rigged and stolen 2022 midterm election.

You’ve been the victims of nonstop severe gaslighting for a decade now. You’re all part of a human psychology experiment in the limits that government and media can go in propaganda and brainwashing…while you can see they’re lying right in front of your eyes.

And these are the exact same people now telling you how terrible Trump is…how awful of a human being he is…what a criminal he is…what a danger to you, your family, and America he is…how unpopular he is…and how he must be stopped at all costs.

Everyone in power and media is telling you this. Not just liberal media like CNN, MSNBC, the NY Times and Washington Post. But also, conservative media like Fox News, the Wall Street Journal and New York Post- all owned by the Rupert Murdoch family.

President Trump just declared he is officially running for President again in 2024. And all hell has broken loose. Everyone in power, everyone on the left and right, even the Murdoch family, have all gone postal.

Trump is like kryptonite to the DC Swamp, Deep State, globalists, RINOS, Democrats and the CEOs of the biggest corporations in the world. Trump is the one man standing in front of their plans to force vaccinate us to death; regulate us to death; tax us to death; digital ID us to control every aspect of our lives; move to a cashless society where every dollar you make is tracked; and worst of all, force us into a social credit score system that will make it impossible to travel, open a bank account, get a loan, or keep your job, if you disagree with the government’s lies, misinformation and propaganda.

Trump can stop us from becoming medical experiments. Yes, Trump the man who supports the experimental Covid vaccines (mistakenly), is the one person who can keep us safe from them. Because he believes in freedom. He will never allow vaccine mandates on anyone- not children, not government employees, not military, not private sector employees. You know how many hundreds of billions of dollars that will cost Big Pharma?

Keep in mind Trump created the greatest economy and stock market in modern history. He made all these people at the top filthy rich. They doubled and tripled and quadrupled their wealth under Trump. They should love him. Yet they all hate him. Why?

Because he’s on our side. He’s on your side. And he can’t be bribed. So, he must be destroyed. They did it once by rigging and stealing an election where he got the most votes of any president in history; and the most votes of any Republican in history; and the most additional votes of any president in history.

Have you forgotten all this? I’m here to remind you. The American people love Trump. The evil people in power hate Trump. Now they’re gaslighting you. They want you to forget all that.

    You’ve been “reverse gaslighted.”

Which Came First? The Chicken or the Laboratory?
    By John F. Di Leo
The Food and Drug Administration has happily approved Upside Foods’s sale of lab-grown meat for human consumption, simultaneously announcing their openness to other companies with similar approaches to meat production.

Researchers have been working on cloning organs in the lab for years, allegedly always for honorable medical purposes. Now they want to take cells from biopsies of farm animals, and grow synthetic meat from them in a sterile laboratory, to sell for food.

There was a time when every biomolecular engineer had to take an ethics class. Perhaps they still do, but perhaps more students disregard such lessons nowadays, as so many disregard so many other important lessons of history and philosophy in the interest of modernity.

The scientist asks “Can we?” The philosopher asks “Should we?”

But in addition to these big questions, in this case, there’s a more fundamental one, which everyone should be asking.

“Why on earth would we want to?”

If America were running out of farmland, we might have a desperate need to find new ways to raise food. But we have so much available farmland, the government pays farmers not to plant. The world has plenty of hungry people, not because we can’t raise enough meat, but because we can’t transport it all to those who want it. So a shortage of productive land can’t be it.

If the animal stock we do raise is getting weaker, thinner, sparser every year, then, too, we might get desperate for new ideas. But our farms and ranches are more productive every year, with modern fertilizers, modern hybrids, modern agricultural equipment. So that can’t be it.

In fact, our technology is so impressive today, it literally scares people. The weaker and more gullible among us have grown afraid of our amazing hybrids, afraid of research and modernization. A country with people who pay double for “organic” food that eschews scientific advances, a country that shames producers into offering non-GMO products, cannot be a country so hungry that it must resort to xeroxing carbon copies of chickens rather than raising and eating real ones.

There are hints to the underlying reasons:

The Left has demonized animals for exhaling carbon dioxide, as we humans do. Since the climate cult decreed that carbon dioxide, of all things, is slowly jeopardizing our planet, there has been a peculiar trend toward public derision of very concept of animals. The more animals there are, the more exhaling. Can’t have that. It might cause another half inch of erosion in a couple of low-sea-level port towns over the next few centuries. So, we spread vegetarianism, even veganism, to discourage the eating of animals. And we have seen if anyone would bite.

But even that hasn’t caught on enough to explain this. One more reason surfaces:

For generations, the metro areas have flourished while the rural areas have bled. Even in a time of general population growth, America’s smaller towns have emptied to the point of becoming endangered, and not in the least by accident.

Obamacare reduced the healthcare availability in lower-population areas, even as climbing minimum wages priced other employment out of our less-populated areas. The assault on the automobile has had rural America in its sights; the switch from real cars with 400-mile ranges to battery-operated buggies that need to be plugged in overnight after 80 miles could hardly be promulgated in a nation that still valued the wide open spaces of agricultural America.

America was built on a combination of skills and careers, on a balance of city and country, mountain and shore. Today’s pop culture and ruling elites, however, have only disdain for the most fundamental elements of a functioning society, the farmers and ranchers who raise our cattle, hogs, chickens, lambs and turkeys on sprawling spreads far outside our city limits.

Perhaps it’s too wild, too natural, too old-fashioned for these modernists. They tried for decades to get us to eat burgers made of beans, and chicken wings made of processed leaves, but even the truest of their true believers couldn’t manage to choke down such synthetics.

So they’ve now moved on to Plan B: leaving the farm entirely for a cold laboratory, growing animal muscle in a tray without needing to grow the rest of the animal, in a safe, sterile, and hidden setting. They want to never again have to smell a farm, never again have to know that a slaughter took place. Their way of avoiding “eating anything with eyes” is now to eat animal meat that was never part of an animal at all. Their delicate feelings desire some way to eat muscle without anyone ever having to cut it off a bone.

Can this concept be sustainable? Probably not. Hopefully, it will fizzle, as did prior attempts to discourage mankind from eating meat. The human body is meant to be omnivorous, after all; any effort in opposition to this reality will always feel unnatural because it is.

But they try. They keep trying. For a reason.

Our farms and ranches are part of human tradition. Living off the land – raising animals for food and clothing – has always been part of the essential foundation of our economy. Our jammed cities cannot exist without that fruited plain – that panoply of agricultural/horticultural businesses, both small and large, that fill the mileage seen from the interstate and from the airplane window, in the broad gaps between our cities.

The family farm, the local butcher, the local farm co-op, the local meat-packing plant – and the feed companies, transportation and distribution networks that support them – these have always been the bedrock of the American experience, creating and developing countless opportunities for entrepreneurship.

Children in these family businesses join 4-H and the FFA; they raise a hog or steer to compete at state fairs for prizes or purses that fund their college educations.

It’s a completely different world than the experience of growing up in a big city, and there was a time when such diversity of experience was appreciated, but that time has passed. In today’s America, the only desirable diversity is a variety of skin color, language, and sexual orientation. All else must be uniform, from political opinion to social norms, or one risks being scorned, cancelled, shadowbanned.

Seen in this light, and only in this light, the encouragement of lab-grown meat makes sense. It’s an assault on rural America, an attack on the American farmer. It’s a science-fiction plot hatched in the real world without the slightest need.

And the FDA – like so much of today’s federal bureaucracy – has been weaponized in support of that countercultural effort.

America needs to Just Say No to lab-grown meat. They will market it as cleaner, safer, purer; they will claim that it’s more humane to never raise an animal at all than to raise one that will eventually be used to make steaks, belts, and coats. It’s an argument they have used before, for other political issues as well.

Like so many other issues they champion, there’s a lot more countercultural motivation here than meets the eye. The fact that lab-grown meat, in a nation blessed with unlimited natural farmland, is unnecessary is just the tip of the iceberg.

Oculus’s founder, who was subsequently terminated from his position at Facebook, claimed to develop a virtual reality (VR) headset that has the capability of bringing gamers’ deaths into the real world.

In a blog post published November 6, Palmer Luckey, one of the original founders of the Oculus VR who sold his company to Facebook and now acts as the foundation for Mark Zuckerberg’s metaverse ambitions, claimed that he had modified a virtual reality headset so that it would explode if the wearer lost in a video game, killing them in real life as well.

According to Luckey’s blog post titled “If you die in the game, you die in real life,” the fictional virtual reality headset “NerveGear” from the Sword Art Online anime series served as inspiration for his deadly gaming gear.

Sword Art Online (SAO) is a Japanese light novel series written by Reki Kawahara. The anime has been released where players control their avatars with their bodies using a piece of technology called: Nerve Gear. One day, players discover they cannot log out, as the game creator is holding them captive unless they reach the 100th floor of the game’s tower and defeat the final boss. However, if they die in the game, they die in real life, according to Crunchyroll.

Media organizations have proclaimed Democrat Katie Hobbs the winner, although the gap between her and Republican Kari Lake is less than 20,000 votes, which means even in the best of times, a recount would be held.

The collective West is growing tired of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and is “pushing” Kiev into talks with Moscow, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev wrote in a Telegram post on Saturday. He added that the US and NATO don’t want to risk a new world war.

The reaction to the missile strike that hit the Polish village of Przewodow on Tuesday, killing two civilians, has revealed a new “symptom” in this trend, with even “the most ardent Russophobes” in Warsaw refusing to blame the incident on Moscow, the ex-president commented….

“Everyone is tired of the Kiev regime. Especially of the neurotic Zelensky, who is constantly whipping up tensions, whining, sniveling and extorting more and more money and weapons handouts. [He] acts like a hysterical child with developmental problems….”

Fatigue with Kiev and its actions is prompting the collective West to “push” Ukraine into talks with Russia, the deputy head of the nation’s Security Council continued.

“[If Zelensky] does not accept the reality of Ukraine’s collapse, it is pointless to sit down at the [negotiating] table. And if [he] does accept it – he will be taken out by his own nationalists, who are intertwined with the army top brass.”

  26. BREAKING: FTX, Tether, the CIA, Drug Cartels and Ukraine
    By Joe Hoft
    Published November 20, 2022 at 6:51pm

The FTX scandal is only getting started. Another cryptocurrency by the name of Tether is also on the brink of failing and both FTX and Tether appear to have been tools of the Deep State.

A week ago TGP reported that FTX was used as a money laundering scheme in Ukraine where money sent there was sent back to US politicians.

Revolver added more to this story overnight. In a lengthy article, Revolver notes first that FTX may not be the largest cryptocurrency-related entity to collapse in the coming months. Another crypto by the name of “Tether” or USDT is also in big trouble

USDT, or Tether, is what is known as a “stablecoin.” A stablecoin is a cryptocurrency that, instead of fluctuating in value, is intended to hold to a consistent price. Tether is a USD stablecoin — each Tether is supposed to be equal in value to one U.S. dollar. While most cryptocurrencies are wildly speculative and backed by essentially nothing, each Tether is supposed to be backed directly by a U.S. dollar, or an extremely liquid, reliable investment like a U.S. treasury bond….

…Tether has the third highest market cap of any crypto currency at $66 billion, trailing only Bitcoin and Ethereum. Today, fully half of all bitcoin trades globally are executed using Tether.

Other residents in the Northeast say they have to choose between food and heating their homes.

One elder, retired Philly resident said he will keep his house at 50 to 55 and won’t turn the heat on until his “teeth chatter” in an effort to ration his oil because filling his tank costs $1,500.

The Arizona attorney general’s office has launched an investigation into irregularities in Maricopa County’s handling of the midterm elections.

AG Mark Brnovich’s election integrity unit has demanded a full report of well-publicized irregularities, and what he claims is evidence of “statutory violations

The letter, sent late Saturday by Assistant AG Jennifer Wright to the county’s top civil division attorney, Thomas Liddy, is a major escalation over widespread problems with voting tabulators and printers, which delayed the declaration of a winner in razor-thin races in the attorney general’s race and the gubernatorial race.

Gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake has questioned the media’s premature declaration that her opponent, Democrat Katie Hobbs – who wasn’t exactly popular, won.

The letter demands a full report on how voting machine and printer issues were handled, along with a copy of each polling location’s Official Ballot Report, as well as explanations for any discrepancies.

  29. You Can’t Put It Back Together” – Jim Rickards Warns Of ‘Unstoppable Crisis Worse Than 2008’

    SUNDAY, NOV 20, 2022 – 06:30 PM
    Via Greg Hunter’s,

Six-time, best-selling financial author James Rickards says the upcoming book “Sold Out” lays out the case why a huge crash is already a certainty sometime in 2023.

In a nutshell, broken supply chains have already caused
big inflation, and the Fed is raising rates to tamp it back down. On top of the perfect storm of inflation and prolonged supply problems, we have the recent meltdown of the FTX crypto currency exchange. Rickards says,

“It is definitely going to cause sequential collapses in the crypto world, but will it jump the fence into the broader financial world? My expectation is it will, but it can take six months or more to play out…

We probably have an acute global financial crisis coming anyway. If FTX never existed, I would say we are staring at a worse financial crisis than 2008. Throw FTX on top of that, and it’s like throwing gasoline on a fire. It will accelerate the fire. So, we’re probably going to have problems anyway, but the FTX implosion just makes it worse.”

As far as the dwindling supply chains, Rickards says, “The old supply chain has collapsed. A new supply chain will emerge, and I talk about that in my book and what it will look like…”

” Right now, we are in a very messy middle period where things don’t work well. It’s like a vase. You knock over a vase, and it breaks into 5,000 pieces. You can’t put it back

Germany is planning for emergency cash deliveries to its citizens in case of winter power cuts, giving an example of how seriously authorities are taking the threat of outages caused by soaring energy costs.

And now Germany is also looking at a serious meat shortage in four to six months due to government regulations. Currently, 90% of the German population eats meat. The costs in the coming months will hit them hard, as will energy costs and the soaring inflation rate in the country.
