Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

    • So long as you can buy a 1000 Oz bar at Spot, its hard to believe there is anything other than supply and demand behind the premiums, or better put, the retail markup on retail products such as coins.

Now why the spot is what it is, thats still up for debate.

  2. the gateway pundit Joe Biden Says It’s Wrong for States to Ban Puberty Blockers and Sex Reassignment Surgery For Children

Joe Biden on Sunday participated in a sit-down interview with NowThis ‘Make Your Mark’ to discuss the midterms and the failing Democrat agenda.

The entire interview was a dumpster fire.

Biden relied on notecards to get through the discussion because his brain barely works.

Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender ‘activist’ (biological male) and raging misogynist who mocks women for a living, asked Joe Biden if it is wrong for states to ban sex reassignment surgery for children (genital mutilation).

Biden said he believes it is wrong for states to ban puberty blockers for children.

“I don’t think any state or anybody should have the right to do that. As a moral question and as a legal question,” said Biden.

  3. Garland to hold news conference on ‘significant national security cases’

The DOJ said the attorney general will address “malign influence schemes and alleged criminal activity by a nation-state actor in the United States.”

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Merrick Garland will hold a news conference Monday afternoon to discuss “significant national security cases addressing malign influence schemes and alleged criminal activity by a nation-state actor in the United States,”
the Department of Justice announced in an advisory.

Garland will speak at 1:30 p.m. ET, and will be joined by Deputy Attorney General Lisa O. Monaco, FBI Director Christopher Wray, Assistant Attorney General for National Security Matthew G. Olsen and other Justice Department officials.

The advisory didn’t provide any additional details about the case, including what the alleged criminal activity entails or what foreign country or countries may be involved.

The announcement comes nearly two weeks before the 2022 midterm elections on Nov. 8.

Justice Department officials generally avoid taking law enforcement action that could affect voting within 60 days of an election. It’s unclear if the announcement Monday is related in any way to the upcoming election.

      What was this?

13 Chinese double agents were charged today with harassing US nationals.
The corrupt DOJ-FBI stole your Monday to announce they indicted 13 Chinese nationals who were threatening US nationals.

Chris Wray, Merrick Garland, Lisa Monaco spoke during their presser that was delayed nearly a half hour.

Why was this a national press conference?
      Why not a press release?
Why are they not interrupting your day to discuss MS13 murdering and threatening Americans?
      What about other nationals?
Why do they ignore all of the other previous arrests of Chinese nationals?

    • CNN – Covid-19 vaccine study links side effects with greater antibody response</b<

People who reported experiencing side effects to the Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna Covid-19 vaccines such as fever, chills or muscle pain tended to have a greater antibody response following vaccination, according to new research.

Having such symptoms after vaccination is associated with greater antibody responses compared with having only pain or rash at the injection site or no symptoms at all, suggests the paper published Friday in the journal JAMA Network Open.

“In conclusion, these findings support reframing postvaccination symptoms as signals of vaccine effectiveness and reinforce guidelines for vaccine boosters in older adults,” the researchers – from Columbia University in New York, University of Vermont and Boston University – wrote in their paper.

But even though some people may have small, localized side effects or no symptoms at all, the vaccine still elicits robust immune responses in them too. Nearly all study participants exhibited a positive antibody response after completing a two-dose Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna vaccine series.

“I don’t want a patient to tell me that, ‘Golly, I didn’t get any reaction, my arm wasn’t sore, I didn’t have fever. The vaccine didn’t work.’ I don’t want that conclusion to be out there,” said Dr. William Schaffner, a professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and medical director of the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases, who was not involved in the new study.

“This is more to reassure people who have had a reaction that that’s their immune system responding, actually in a rather good way, to the vaccine, even though it has caused them some discomfort,” Schaffner said.

The researchers analyzed data on 928 adults who self-reported what symptoms they experienced after receiving Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna Covid-19 vaccinations, as well as submitted a dried blood spot to test for antibodies. Most of the participants were White adults, with a mean age of 65.

The researchers found that after either vaccine dose, 446 or 48% of participants reported systemic symptoms while 12% reported only local symptoms and 40% reported no symptoms at all.

Meanwhile, antibody reactivity was observed in 444 or 99% of participants with systemic symptoms, 99% of those with only local symptoms and 98% of those with no symptoms.

“A lot of people have speculated over the years whether people who had more of a reaction to the vaccine might actually have that represent a more vigorous immune response,” Schaffner said. “And these data would appear to support that.”

    • Inside the G7 Roundtable!!! Leaders reaffirm unwavering commitment to support Ukraine’s recovery

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Chancellor Olaf Scholz, in his given capacity as German Presidency of the G7, will co-host the International Expert Conference on the Recovery, Reconstruction and Modernisation of Ukraine in Berlin.

This conference is another important step in the series of global events, which demonstrate unwavering support from the Commission and the international community to Ukraine in the face of Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified war of aggression.

It also highlights that the Commission and the international community will continue to support Ukraine beyond its immediate needs, and on its path to EU accession.

Given the scale of the challenge at stake, the recovery efforts need to be an inclusive multi-stakeholder process, involving both public and private sectors, as well as international organizations. That is why the conference will bring together world-renowned experts across various disciplines and backgrounds, international organisations, senior government representatives, think tanks and academics, as well as representatives from civil society and the private sector, together with the Ukrainian government. The participants will discuss key matters for the recovery, reconstruction and modernisation of Ukraine. These discussions will contribute to shaping global efforts on the way ahead for Ukraine’s green, resilient, prosperous and democratic future.

President Ursula von der Leyen said: “The courageous Ukrainian men and women of Ukraine are fighting for their independence and the rules-based international order. We will be at Ukraine´s side as long as it takes. The road to reconstruction is at the same time Ukraine’s path towards its vision to become a more modern, democratic and prosperous country. Every euro, every dollar every pound and every yen spent will be an investment in Ukraine and democratic values around the globe. At the same time the broad support for the brave people of Ukraine is a strong statement that the free and democratic nations of this world stand together.”

Following the opening remarks from President von der Leyen and Chancellor Scholz, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will deliver a keynote address. During the opening plenary, participants will hear from Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and other high-level speakers about the international perspectives on Ukraine’s geopolitical and economic outlook and the scale of the recovery and reconstruction needs.

Discussions will then focus on the financing of recovery and reconstruction, exploring possible frameworks for governance and emphasising strong Ukrainian ownership in the process of mobilising resources and private sector involvement.

The afternoon sessions will be devoted to key priorities for Ukraine’s sustainable growth, development, and stability, including with a view to EU accession. These sessions will focus on institutional transformation and good governance, macroeconomic and financial stability, industrial policy and sustainable development, and inclusiveness.

Targeted expert recommendations will be published on the website of the International Expert Conference as an outcome document. These recommendations will feed into bilateral, European, and multilateral discussions with Ukrainian counterparts, as support shapes up. These fora include the annual Ukraine Recovery/Reform Conference, to be hosted by the UK mid-next year.

The initial impulse for the Conference was the G7 Elmau Summit in June. The Conference builds on the Lugano Declaration and its seven guiding principles on recovery which were issued at the international Ukraine Recovery Conference in Lugano in July, where Ukraine presented its draft for a national recovery plan for the first time. The Conference will add further expert input and advice to the deliberations on the recovery process of Ukraine. The Conference will feed into the creation of an international coordination platform as proposed by the Commission on 18 May.

The unprovoked and unjustified Russian invasion of Ukraine has caused terrible human suffering and massive destruction of towns and communities. The European Union and its Member States have shown unwavering solidarity with people fleeing the war in Ukraine and immediately mobilised support to the Ukrainian government to maintain its functions. The Union has provided substantial emergency assistance to support resilience, humanitarian assistance, military aid and other support.

  8. Joe Biden Says the Quiet Part Out Loud: Republicans in Congress Still Preventing Funding We Need to Stay Vigilant Ahead of the NEXT VIRUS (VIDEO)

Joe Biden on Monday delivered remarks from the DNC headquarters in Washington, DC.

Biden trashed Trump and the “mega Republicans” ahead of the midterm elections

Let’s go back and see what we inherited from Trump and the ‘mega Republicans,’” Biden said.

Then Biden said the quiet part out loud: “Republicans in Congress are still preventing funding we need to stay vigilant ahead of the next virus.”

    Next virus?

They aren’t even hiding it anymore.

Furthermore, Biden’s ‘American Rescue Plan’ provided $350 billion to respond to the Covid pandemic and he is still asking for more money.

Biden made a similar statement in June of this year.

Biden said we need more money because there is going to be another pandemic.

“We need more money. We don’t just need more money for vaccines for children, we need more money to plan for the second pandemic. There’s gonna be another pandemic,” said Biden in June.

  9. Pakistan is making disbursement of aid to flood victims contingent on biometric verification

In August, Pakistan was hit by severe flooding that caused extensive damage to large rural areas in the country, and yet, to this day, aid in the shape of government-allocated funds eagerly awaited by many flood victims is delayed and sometimes comes with a curious string attached – the completion of “a biometric survey.”

And it’s something fairly uncommon, at least currently, with disaster relief practices given the urgency of it all. To make things worse, these areas are populated by people who by and large don’t even know about this requirement (and likely, what it means).

  13. ‘The assassin should not have been in France’: Outcry as it emerges woman ‘who killed Lola and stuffed her into a suitcase’ was Algerian who had overstayed her visa
Homeless woman Dahbia B, 24, has been charged with the torture, rape and murder of Lola Daviet, 12
It was confirmed today that the suspect was an Algerian national who had overstayed her student visa
The revelation has sparked outcry in France, with one politician saying the murder ‘should not have happened’
French far-right leader Marine Le Pen said: ‘Too many crimes are being committed by clandestine immigrants’
An official motive has not been given but an alleged row between the suspect and Lola’s mother is one theory
Lola was found dead inside a suitcase near her home with the numbers ‘1’ and ‘0’ imprinted on her body
A woman accused of the horrific torture, rape and murder of a 12-year-old girl in Paris is an Algerian national who overstayed her visa, it was confirmed today, sparking outcry in France.
Dahbia B., who arrived in France in 2016 on a student residence permit, was indicted yesterday after the body of young Lola Daviet was found stuffed in a suitcase on the street with a slit to her throat, signs of torture and sexual violence, and the letters 1 and 0 imprinted on her corpse.
As authorities confirmed reports that the suspect was an illegal immigrant, some politicians said the killing showed failings in the government’s law and order policies.
‘This murder should not have happened. The assassin should not have been in France,’ said conservative Olivier Marleix, president of the Les Republicains National Assembly group. ‘There is a very deep emotion in our country.’
French far-right leader Marine Le Pen said in parliament: ‘Too many crimes are being committed by clandestine immigrants one has not been able or willing to deport.’
Prime Minister Elizabeth Borne hit back, asking her to ‘show some decency’.
Dahbia B. arrived legally in France in 2016 on a student residence permit. But she was notified with an obligation to leave French territory in August after failing to produce a valid residence permit.
She was arrested at an airport on August 21 by police but had no further dealings with them until Friday’s killing.
Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron met with Lola’s parents on Tuesday. ‘He offered them his condolences and assured them of all his solidarity and support in the ordeal they are going through and which upsets us all,’ his office said.

At Lola’s home, neighbours laid flowers and candles in tribute to her. ‘It’s unbearable,’ said a neighbour who declined to give her name. ‘We’ve been living in this neighbourhood for years and we’ve just come here to give support to the family, in leaving a bouquet, because like many people, this breaks our hearts.’
Another neighbour said: ‘Twelve years old… poor girl … it doesn’t make any sense.’
Paris investigators are probing whether Dahbia B. may have killed Lola by mistake after confusing the girl for her mother, although no official motive has been given for the shocking killing.
Prosecutors said yesterday the suspect who has ‘serious psychological problems’, made ‘varying statements, switching between admitting and denying the facts of the case’.
One possible theory is an apparent argument between Dahbia B. and Lola’s parents, Delphine and Johan, over their apartment block.

The suspect had tried to move in with her sister in the same building the middle-class Daviet family live in and are custodians for, but Delphine refused to give the homeless woman an access pass.

Investigators believe the killing could have been an act of revenge with the attacker even confusing the 12-year-old girl for her mother, France Bleu reported.
Prosecutors said yesterday Dahbia B. had brought Lola to her sister’s apartment where she forced her to take a shower, then ‘committed harm of a sexual nature and other violent acts against (Lola) that caused her death, and hid her body in the trunk’.
When the suspect, who has no criminal record but was the victim of domestic violence in 2018, was shown photographs of Lola’s body, she allegedly replied: ‘It does not make me hot or cold. I too was raped and saw my parents die in front of me.’
CCTV footage had emerged showing both the alleged killer and her victim next to the block of flats where Lola lived with her parents who owned properties across northern France.

Lola’s mutilated body was later found near the building, in the city’s 19th arrondissement.

‘The suspect had boasted about selling body parts,’ said an investigating source. ‘Evidence suggests that the girl was taken into the basement of the flat, where she was tortured, and raped, before being strangled and having her throat cut.’
The source added: ‘The suspect is believed to suffer with serious psychological problems. She was living on the street, but had friends and family in the Paris area.’ A judicial source confirmed Dahbia B was in custody charged with ‘the murder of a child under 15, rape, and torture’.
On Friday night after the body was discovered, three people were arrested near the scene.
Then, a woman, who was spotted on CCTV with the schoolgirl hours before her death, was also held. Two others were also arrested and all are originally from Algeria, Le Parisien said.
Of the six initially arrested, which included Dahbia B’s older sister Friha B, four are now considered innocent of any wrongdoing.
One 43-year-old man, who is known to the main suspect, still faces charges over allegedly making a car available to the suspect over the weekend.
Now it is thought the alleged killer ‘acted alone and gratuitously’ in allegedly carrying out the murder, according to judicial sources.
Lola’s parents had called police after their daughter did not return from middle school on Friday afternoon.
The victim’s mother went to police at 5pm on Friday evening when she became worried that her daughter had not returned home, and posted a desperate appeal for help on social media.
Mrs Daviet posted an image of Lola accompanied by the following message: ‘Our daughter Lola was last seen at 3.20pm in the company of a woman we do not know in our residence.’
Her father, the custodian in the building, saw the unknown woman enter the building in Paris’ 19th district alongside his daughter when he checked the CCTV recordings.
Witnesses later said they saw the woman dragging the suitcase which was ‘stained with blood’ and ‘smelt strongly of bleach’.
An investigating source said: ‘The alleged murderer somehow earned her victim’s confidence and led her into a cellar below the building, where the attack happened.
‘The attacker had been talking about selling organs and body parts, but none of this makes sense. She acted alone and gratuitously, and defiled her victim before killing her.’
Lola’s parents are professional caretakers of a number of buildings in northern Paris, including the one where they live.
They also own two houses in the village of Fouquereuil, near Bethune, northern France, and a mobile holiday home in Rang-du-Fliers, on the English Channel coast. Friends have set up a fundraiser for the grief-stricken family.
Benkired said that she lured Daviet into her sister’s apartment, and ordered the girl to shower. She then forced her victim to perform cunnilingus on her. After the rape, she put adhesive tape on the girl’s face. When Daviet died from asphyxiation, Benkired stabbed the body.

Democrats must really be worried that they won’t be able to steal the presidential election in 2024.
