Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. Here is EU High Representative Josep Borrell urging EU diplomats to jawbone Russia and China in the information battle space, or something, while the physical battle space heats up.

That we are marching towards world war is terrifying. And we do so with eyes wide shut. Political games are all fun and games until somebody loses a planet, or at least a few billion souls. Yet, not all eyes can be shut. There are too many too determined to sustain war for this to be accidental, or stupid. How about, conspicuously, the silence of George Soros on the matter of the Uke war? I don’t believe for a second that this brilliant man is all at naive, confused, or taken in by media lies. Nay, he has been a primary financial architect in the Ukraine for many years. He has been “boots on the ground” with his NGOs. So what gives, George? Where is your sage voice of reason now?
In metaphor, it is the largest banks that benefit Central Bank money printing because they function as launderers of federal debt issuances, whereupon they accumulate fiat to buy hard assets first, before everyone else. Similarly, those closest to central liars are privy to the truth of matters, so they benefit from clarity on matters before everyone else. So again, how ’bout it, George?

Channeling the ghost of my lie-detector mother, I like Greg Hunter because he’s emotional. He’s not cool or calm like the “sophisticated” actors/politicians we have running things. He doesn’t seem to have a sneaky bone in his body when he rolls out his week-end summaries. Sure, his bible studies are cuckoo at times, but I take what I like. Here he talks about the possibility Tulsi Gabbard is controlled opposition, the disintegrating Dems, the Uke War, financials, the Vaxx etc. He’s like a hunter-gatherer of real trees in a forest of plastic pines. 55 min:

Finally, it’s Happy Friday, and we need to be reminded not to take everything so seriously that we lose our minds. Talkin’ about cuckoo:

  2. Hurtling towards one or many black swans the question is: does the Fed pivot, or not? In a sane world it must because not doing so will push us into another depression. With equal sanity not raising rates, meaningfully, may allow hyperinflation to set foot. One great question this experienced trader presents is, what if the Fed avoids the pivot knowing full well the consequences will be the acceleration of the reset, a new money paradigm coupled with world communism? What if it’s all on purpose? Start at 47 minute mark for the best of an overall great interview:

    • When you connect all of the dots the picture says that the economic, internal and international political crisis’s are the results of delivery action. The Marxists want the entire world in chaos, they think this will allow them to be the man/men on white horses who will provide protection if they are allowed to take control and rule the world.

They think we are to uneducated to understand that the protection they provide will be the protection all slave owners provide for their slaves. If we allow the Marxists to rule the world individual rights and freedom will disappear and it will take.centuries for those ideas to resurface.

We are in a war we must win if we want the future generations to be free.

    • zero hedge – Musk Demands Pentagon Foot Starlink-Ukraine Bill After Being Told To ‘F**k Off’

Elon Musk’s SpaceX has been generous in providing free Starlink satellite internet terminals for Ukraine’s military to boost communication channels as the war enters its eighth month.

[…]CNN obtained a new letter that SpaceX sent the Pentagon, warning about the need for funding to maintain the service in the war-torn country, which costs upwards of $20 million per month (and most of it has been footed by SpaceX).

The letter continued with the need for the Pentagon to take over Starlink’s expenses. In the next 12 months, Starlink forecasted the service would cost upwards of $400 million.

“We are not in a position to further donate terminals to Ukraine, or fund the existing terminals for an indefinite period of time,” SpaceX’s director of government sales wrote in the letter.

Musk on Friday confirmed the letter as he responded to a Kyiv Post journalist on Twitter, saying he only followed the advice of a Ukrainian diplomat who told him to “F*** off.”

[…]Starlink is essential to the Ukrainian military, and one would suspect that the Pentagon would pick up the tab if US’ proxy war against Russia wants to be successful.

    • reuters – U.S. to send munitions, Humvees to Ukraine in $725 mln aid package -officials

WASHINGTON, Oct 14 (Reuters) – The Biden administration’s next security assistance package for Ukraine is expected to include munitions and vehicles but not significant new capabilities or counter-air defenses, two U.S. officials briefed on the $725 million package told Reuters on Friday.

The package, that could come as soon as Friday, is the first aid package since Russia’s barrage of rocket attacks on civilian population centers in Ukraine in recent days.

The officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said that the timing of the announcement of the weapons package as well as its contents and value could change until the last minute.

One of the officials said that while the aid package was not expected to include material to defeat missile attacks like the ones seen over the last week, it was designed to bolster Ukraine’s ability to beat back Russia in the counter offensive that has yielded large territorial gains in recent weeks.

Separately, Ukraine expects the United States and Germany to deliver sophisticated anti-aircraft systems this month to help it counter attacks by Russian missiles and kamikaze drones, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said on Friday.

The munitions and vehicles will be sent using Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA) allowing them to be shipped to Ukraine in the coming days.

Presidential Drawdown Authority allows the United States to transfer defense articles and services from stocks quickly without congressional approval in response to an emergency.

This is the second PDA package of the U.S. government’s 2023 fiscal year which is currently functioning under a stop-gap funding measure and allows President Joe Biden to tap up to $3.7 billion in surplus weapons for transfer to Ukraine through mid-December.

In general, to finance weapons for Ukraine, including the sophisticated anti-aircraft NASAMS systems expected this month, Washington uses funds from the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) to procure weapons from industry, rather than pulling them from existing U.S. weapons stocks.

NASAMS are made by Raytheon Technologies Corp (RTX.N) and Norway’s Kongsberg (KOG.OL).

The White House declined to comment on the package.

The latest package would bring a total of more than $17.5 billion worth of U.S. security assistance since Russia invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24.

    • Art installation at VIU a tribute to monuments in Ukraine

Vancouver Island University’s View Gallery is excited to welcome Ottawa based sculptor Cindy Stelmackowich to present new works in her exhibition Trenched.

Her work explores notions of care and violence as each relates to the history of medical advancement and war.

Trenched runs from September 15 to November 11.

Cindy worked with VIU faculty and students to create a sandbag monument in tribute to the cultural monuments being protected with sandbags in the war in Ukraine.

The installation stands outside the entrance to the View Gallery on VIU’s Nanaimo campus.

Stelmackowich’s creative practice includes the sourcing and collection of vintage medical equipment, medical texts and other related historical artifacts from the last century.

She weaves these objects into installations that aid in a reframing of narratives we have long since taken at face value.

Recently, her research has explored the relationship that medicine has had with war and how war’s carnage has created a kind of laboratory, out of necessity, to advance the realm of care.

    • Congress Is Likely to Halt Saudi Arms Sales, Key Senator Says

(Bloomberg) — Congress is likely to halt weapons sales to Saudi Arabia in response to the OPEC+ decision to slash oil production, Senator Chris Coons, a close ally of President Joe Biden, said Friday.

“I think you’ll see both the administration and the Senate take action, and one of the most likely actions is to stop any future arms sales,” Coons, a Foreign Relations Committee member, said in a CNN interview.

His remarks show building momentum in the Democrat-controlled Congress to curtail military assistance as a way of punishing Saudi Arabia for the slash in production targets, which the Riyadh-led cartel announced about a month before the November midterm elections.

The Democratic senator called the oil-production cut “a punch in the gut” that helps Russia “fund their war of aggression against Ukraine.”

Coons, who represents Biden’s home state of Delaware, spoke days after Senator Robert Menendez, a New Jersey Democrat who chairs the Foreign Relations panel, called for a “freeze” of all aspects of the US-Saudi relationship including “arms sales and security cooperation” beyond what is necessary to defend US personnel and interests.

Biden earlier this week announced his administration would undertake a review of its relationship with Saudi Arabia. Biden said the kingdom would suffer unspecified “consequences.” He did not, however, say whether arms sales could be stopped and did not announce a time frame for completion of the review.

Any proposal that blocks additional arms sales could leave room for allowing assistance like support for contractors and spare-part shipments to proceed, without which the Saudis would be unable to maintain their sizable arsenal of US military equipment.

Biden could also veto any legislation blocking or limiting arms sales to Saudi Arabia, like Donald Trump did as president in 2019. Some national security experts have cautioned against such a move, saying it would hurt the Saudis’ fight against Iran-backed proxies in Yemen and across the region. Republicans could also allow the sales to proceed if they take control of Congress after the November elections.

Ontario’s top doctor has warned that COVID-19 cases and the approach of winter could further jeopardize the province’s struggling health-care system, forcing the Ford government to potentially re-implement a mandatory masking policy if the situation worsens.

In an interview with Global News, Dr. Kieran Moore, Ontario’s medical officer of health, urged people to get vaccines, boosters and wear a mask to avoid an “unmanageable surge” in hospital admissions.

He said the rate of uptake for fourth doses by Ontarians aged 70 and older — around 16 per cent — was “not acceptable” and said public health measures like mandatory masking could return “if necessary.”

“If there is any significant impact on our health system where we can’t care for Ontarians appropriately, I will absolutely have the conversation with the government (around) whether we have to mandate masking for a set period of time,” Moore told Global News.

Sweden does not want to investigate Nord Stream explosions together with Germany due to classified reasons.

  5. President Trump Is Right – Presidents Clinton, GW Bush and Obama “Lost” Millions of Documents Yet No Unlawful House Raids
    By Joe Hoft
    Published October 14, 2022 at 11:00am

The corrupt and criminal DOJ and FBI under Biden went too far when they raided President Trump’s iconic home – Mar-a-Lago. This was unprecedented, unnecessary, and unlawful.

As we reported right after the criminal DOJ and FBI raided his home, the DOJ way overstepped the law.

    • The FBI Vs. The People

America’s principal law enforcement agency, the FBI, has declared yet another war. It’s just like the war on drugs, the war on organized crime, and the war on terrorism from decades past—but this time, the bureau’s enemy is average Americans who are not Democrats.

That’s not a mere Republican talking point. Indeed, few Republican officials are talking about the FBI at all, despite the bureau’s repeated use of Stasi tactics to intimidate their constituents. No, this is now a fact of American life.

On Oct. 7, FBI agents executed a shock-and-awe raid at the home of Paul Vaugh, pro-life activist and father of 11, who allegedly obstructed a federally mandated “access zone” at the Tennessee abortion clinic where he was protesting several months ago. A few days earlier, the FBI raided the home of pro-life advocate Chet Gallagher and arrested him for the same offense. And a week before that, agents did the same to another pro-life protester, Mark Houck, who allegedly shoved an assailant to protect his son in an altercation that took place nearly a year ago.

    • NYT – U.S. Asks Court to End Special Master Review of Files Seized From Trump

The Justice Department told an appeals court that a federal judge was wrong to intervene in its investigation into the former president’s hoarding of sensitive records.

The Justice Department asked an appeals court on Friday to end a special master review of thousands of documents that the F.B.I. seized from former President Donald J. Trump’s Florida estate, arguing that a federal judge had been wrong to intervene in its investigation into Mr. Trump’s hoarding of sensitive government records.

In a 53-page brief before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, in Atlanta, the Justice Department broadly challenged the legal legitimacy of orders last month by Judge Aileen M. Cannon, who blocked investigators from using the materials and appointed an independent arbiter to sift them for any that are potentially privileged or Mr. Trump’s personal property.

The Justice Department already succeeded in persuading a panel of the Atlanta-based court to exempt about 100 documents marked classified from Judge Cannon’s move — a decision the Supreme Court declined to overturn this week. In its new filing, the Justice Department asked the appeals court to reverse her order for the remaining 11,000 or so documents.

“This court has already granted the government’s motion to stay that unprecedented order insofar as it relates to the documents bearing classification markings,” the filing said. “The court should now reverse the order in its entirety for multiple independent reasons.”

A lawyer for Mr. Trump, Christopher M. Kise, did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The Trump legal team is due to file a brief in response to the government’s appeal next month.

The dispute is the opening round in the main part of the Justice Department’s appeal of the orders by Judge Cannon, whom Mr. Trump appointed in November 2020, as part of a lawsuit Mr. Trump filed after the F.B.I. carried out a court-ordered search of his Florida club and residence, Mar-a-Lago, in August.

Wow, this is some CRT in action here.

Critical racists continually preach that America is evil, racist, and oppressive. We’re told that flying the American flag is a symbol of white supremacy by activists and supposed “experts.”

When you combine that with the violent Islamic rhetoric that exists within some homes of the large Somali immigrant population in Minnesota, are you really surprised that a man would attack a woman for wearing American flag shirt?

George and Alfred Degiorgio admitted to murdering Daphne Caruana Galizia, 53, just hours after pleading not guilty.

She was killed by a car bomb in October 2017. Many suspect the killing was ordered by top establishment figures.

Known as the “one-woman WikiLeaks”, she uncovered networks of corruption in Malta and abroad, and was know as a harsh critic of the government.

The year Caruana Galizia died, she effectively triggered an early election by publishing allegations linking Joseph Muscat, the then-prime minister, to the Panama Papers scandal, which exposed the use of tax havens by the rich.

Last year, two men were charged with supplying the car bomb in the attack, while another man, Vincent Muscat, was jailed for15 years when he admitted involvement in the murder.
