This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  7. The administration of Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis hit back against the class action lawsuits filed by the illegal migrants he shipped to Martha’s Vineyard lost week.

    As Breitbart News reported on Tuesday, the migrants sued the governor, claiming that he violated their Fourth and Fourteenth Amendment rights by being deceived into taking the trips up to the wealthy liberal enclave.

      Now we are getting some insight into Russia’s activities over the last three weeks. It now appears that the withdrawal/retreat from Kharkov was part of a broader plan that is going to culminate in the referenda by the oblasts of Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson starting this Friday. This is not some last minute, desperate stunt. It flows logically from Russia’s attempt to use the Special Military Operation as leverage to compel serious negotiations on the futures and independence of Donetsk and Luhansk.

    On Saturday we first reported on a flight of illegals that landed in Pennsylvania. We now have information on the several trips this same plane has flown and it is frightening.

    Yesterday we reported how Pennsylvania Democrat Governor Wolf claimed the flights of illegal immigrants into his state only carried children who were transported through the state. We have evidence that this is not true.

  17. BREITBART – Thought Police: Germany Conducts Mass Raids over Online ‘Insults’ Against Politicians

    Federal police in Germany have conducted mass raids across 13 states on Tuesday over online ‘insults’ levied against politicians.

    A large number of apartments and houses were raided in Germany on Tuesday as Federal police in the country look to prosecute those who made allegedly hateful remarks against elected officials online.

    In total, federal authorities have said that they have checked over 600 statements for so-called “criminal content”, with 100 people being “searched and questioned” across 13 different German states.

    According to a report by Der Spiegel, a significant number of raids have also been conducted, with the houses and apartments of those suspected of posting illegal online messages being searched by law enforcement for incriminating evidence.

    A press release by Germany’s Federal Criminal Police Office claimed that Tuesday’s so-called “joint day of action” was sparked by posts targeting politicians around the 2021 Federal elections, with elected officials in Germany having special legal privileges making it illegal for their constituents to level certain insults against them.

    “The basis for these investigations is Section 188 of the Criminal Code (StGB), which was revised in spring 2021 and makes insults, slander and defamation of people in political life particularly punishable,” the Federal Criminal Police Office statement reads.

    “Public officials and elected representatives are given special criminal protection under [Section]188 StGB , regardless of the political level, against hate postings,” it continues.

    The President of the Federal Criminal Police Office, Holger Münch, also commented on the hardline enforcement of Germany’s speech laws, threatening those in the country who would dare insult politicians that they will meet the same fate.

    “With the day of action, we are making it clear: Anyone who posts hate messages must expect the police to be at the door afterwards,” Münch said, also noting that his force has been “pursuing criminal content on the Internet even more intensively since February of this year”.

    Another official, Hessian Attorney General Torsten Kunze, also commented on the German speech crackdown, claiming that it was somehow a necessary measure to protect democracy, though the official did not cite any evidence for this claim.

    “This day of action illustrates the extent to which public officials and elected representatives are insulted, slandered and threatened on the Internet,” he said. “In order to prevent the withdrawal of those affected from reaching a level that endangers democracy, we are prosecuting these crimes consistently and in close cooperation with the public prosecutors of the other federal states.”

    Germany’s day of thought police raids against those who are suspected of insulting or defaming elected politicians is only the latest example of the country’s interesting understanding of what protecting democracy means.

    The central European country has become infamous for targeting certain political viewpoints, going so far as to put the country’s populist Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party under surveillance as a so-called “suspicious entity”.

    What’s more, when the party tried to challenge this decision in court, it was ruled that the state spying on the political party was legal, with the court claiming that the party was supposedly a threat to democracy.

    “The party stands for racism, the party stands for exclusion of minorities, the party stands for contempt of the social system,” said Thomas Haldenwang, the President of the German Office for the Protection of the Constitution, which ruled on the surveillance case.

    Haldenwang went on to say that his court’s decision to allow state surveillance of a party representing a minority political view was a “good day for democracy”.

    Biodiversity means human health, food security, and resilience to climate change. Around 66% of wild-life lives on just around 2% of the Earth.

    We are losing nature and biodiversity at an unprecedented rate.

    We are squeezing nature into smaller and smaller pockets.

    And we are paying the price.

    The more nature is under threat, the more vulnerable we all become. Only healthy and diverse forests can store water, carbon and prevent forest fires. Only healthy marine ecosystems can feed our people and help regulate the climate. That is why the world needs to aim high in Montreal for COP15 to adopt an ambitious global deal for nature.

    The evidence is overwhelming. But the economic opportunity is equally compelling. The World Economic Forum estimates that over half of the world’s output depends on nature and its services. And by taking better care of nature, we can mitigate and adapt to climate change, often at a very low cost. In fact, every euro spent on restoring damaged ecosystems, can bring us at least eight euros in return.

    This is why, since we last met at the Leaders Pledge for Nature, we have put forward the first ever European Nature Restoration Law. And new legislation to make sure our consumption in Europe does not drive deforestation in other parts of the world. Europe is ready to aim high. But we must do this together.

    And for that, I believe we need three key commitments in Montreal. First, an ambitious global framework to stop and reverse biodiversity loss and protect 30% of land and ocean globally. Second, we need measurable goals and targets, supported by a fair monitoring system to keep track of progress. And third, we need to scale up biodiversity financing from all sources: public and private, domestic, and international.

    As I announced last year, the EU is doubling its global biodiversity financing, especially for the most vulnerable countries. I encourage all international donors to live up to the same level of ambition.

    This will not be easy. But we can do it. I call on all leaders to come together, to adopt an ambitious global deal to protect the biodiversity of our common home.

    Let’s have the courage to do what is right.

  23. Border Patrol Increasingly Encounters People On Terror Watchlist, Data Shows

    U.S. Border Patrol has seen a massive spike in southern border encounters with people on the U.S. terror watchlist between ports of entry, according to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) statistics.

    CBP personnel came across individuals on the watchlist 78 times in those areas between October and August, the data reveals. There have been more than 2,000,000 migrant encounters on the southern border so far this fiscal year, a record-breaking surge.

    CBP reported only fifteen southern border encounters with people on the watchlist between ports of entry in FY2021. No such incidents were recorded in FY2019.

    24-year-old man dies after showing symptoms, 8 suspected cases receiving care

    An outbreak of Ebola has been declared in Uganda after health authorities confirmed a case of the relatively rare Sudan strain, the health ministry and World Health Organization (WHO) said on Tuesday.

    A 24-year-old man in Uganda’s central Mubende district showed symptoms and later died.

    “We want to inform the country that we have an outbreak of Ebola which we confirmed yesterday,” Diana Atwine, the health ministry’s permanent secretary, told a news conference.

    […]The WHO said ring vaccination of high-risk people with the Ervebo vaccine had been highly effective in controlling the spread of Ebola in recent outbreaks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and elsewhere but that this vaccine had only been approved to protect against the Zaire strain.

    Another vaccine produced by Johnson & Johnson may be effective but has yet to be specifically tested against the Sudan strain, it added.

    W.H.O. – Uganda declares Ebola Virus Disease outbreak

    Brazzaville/Kampala – The health authorities in Uganda today declared an outbreak of Ebola after a case of the Sudan ebolavirus was confirmed in Mubende district in the central part of the country.

    The Uganda Virus Research Institute confirmed the case after testing a sample taken from a 24-year-old male. This follows an investigation by the National Rapid Response team of six suspicious deaths that have occurred in the district this month. There are currently eight suspected cases who are receiving care in a health facility.

    “This is the first time in more than a decade that Uganda is recording an outbreak of Sudan ebolavirus. We are working closely with the national health authorities to investigate the source of this outbreak while supporting the efforts to quickly roll out effective control measures,” said Dr Matshidiso Moeti, World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for Africa. “Uganda is no stranger to effective Ebola control. Thanks to its expertise, action has been taken to quickly to detect the virus and we can bank on this knowledge to halt the spread of infections.”

    There have been seven previous outbreaks of the Sudan ebolavirus, with four occurring in Uganda and three in Sudan. Uganda last reported an outbreak of Sudan ebolavirus in 2012. In 2019, the country experienced an outbreak of Zaire ebolavirus. The virus was imported from neighbouring Democratic Republic of the Congo which was battling a large epidemic in its north-eastern region.

    WHO is helping Ugandan health authorities with the investigation and is deploying staff to the affected area. The Organization has dispatched supplies to support the care of patients and is sending a tent that will be used to isolate patients.

    While ring vaccination of high-risk people with Ervebo (rVSV-ZEBOV) vaccine has been highly effective in controlling the spread of Ebola in recent outbreaks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and elsewhere, this vaccine has only been approved to protect against the Zaire virus. Another vaccine produced by Johnson and Johnson may be effective but has yet to be specifically tested against Ebola Sudan.

    Ebola is a severe, often fatal illness affecting humans and other primates. It has six different species, three of which (Bundibugyo, Sudan and Zaire) have previously caused large outbreaks. Case fatality rates of the Sudan virus have varied from 41% to 100% in past outbreaks. Early initiation of supportive treatment has been shown to significantly reduce deaths from Ebola.
