Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.
This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

The January 6 Committee lied — And now they got caught!
Primary loser Liz Cheney and her fellow dishonest hacks on the January 6th Committee are at it again.
On Thursday the January 6th Select Committee released a new audio they claim was a walkie-talkie app of communications among Oath Keepers inside the US Capitol and outside the Capitol on January 6th.
The J6 Committee published the alleged audio with video of January 6 protesters peacefully walking inside the US Capitol that day.

I think I’ve been commenting here for about 10 years. I have felt most comfortable chiming in on the money angle of the communism creeping our way, mostly because no one else seemed to be. Incidentally, I know some people have an issue with certain terms, such as what they regard as the overuse of the word “communism”. Suffice it to say this is, from my perspective, shorthand for collectivism, which is a shorthand back to fascism, communism, and the patient commies known as the socialists, who nestle between those two like purring little kittens. To me, it matters less what nickname a collectivist carries than it does what threat such a mindset represents. And some may consider me harsh for positioning what they regard as the kinder, gentler collectivist known as the socialist, beside the monstrous commie or Nazi. I will counter that socialism is but the gateway drug to the other two, the elegant proof of which being where we find ourselves today.
Collectivists invariably believe they know what’s best for others. In fact, they are so sure of themselves that they command their wishes over society once given the power to do so. Command economies, like command thinking, always fail. You know you are under another’s command when whole fields of endeavor, such as economics, science, and the language that you use find themselves closed to discussion. It is then you also know that the personal consciences of millions of people have sublimated to the higher power that is the State, and that civility will soon be as scarce as the missing computer chip in that Ford you’ve been waiting eight months for.
I won’t underestimate the top tier commies in control of things today by saying they aren’t aware of this minor detail. The Gates, Soros and Faucis of this world probably understand complex systems better than most of us. Those beneath them, such as the regional managers known as Prime Ministers, Presidents, and Kings of England, probably believe much of what is shoveled their way. Either way it hardly matters when power is the real prize, humanity be damned. Besides no opinion leader, doctor, lawyer politician etc. should be granted an “out” by being called stupid. No outs.
The winter ahead presents a particularly foreboding economic silhouette. Things in discussion such as the end of the U.S. dollar as the world reserve currency, I wanted to better understand in order to help survive their possible fruition. I am sure I am not the most qualified person in the VTB readership to be as loquacious as I have been on the subject of economics. I am a autodidactic hack. I freely admit you can drive a truck through the holes in my knowledge. In fact I’m always surprised why more people don’t talk more about money, but then mysteries abound, don’t they. All I can say is if you’ve got real credentials on a subject, why on earth stay silent? What are you waiting for?
With the help of Keynesian economists this winter’s misery looms larger each day. Our know-betters know better right up until they spend our last penny. Then they shrug and say, “Whatcha gonna do ’bout it, huh?” as the cop or soldier leads you away at gunpoint. It is then that they are most satisfied, because it is then they can drop their silly little charade. Your labour goes from a voluntary action in a free market, to an involuntary one in a forced market. As an example, is it really so hard to imagine Dear Leader dropping his soft, gay “people-kind” voice, shedding his insipid shallow empathy, and instead saying something like, “The fact is I’m simply better than you and I deserve everything I will take from you. Now shut-up and be gone!.”
Whatever traits he has, high intelligence does not seem to be one of them, while brutality certainly is. This brutality reverberates from the beginning of the pandemic lockdowns to today. Just this past week we saw the Ottawa police service “grappling” with its members’ donating to the truckers’ convoy. –“Grappling” as in coming to terms with enormous false guilt by using, essentially, legal and pseudo-legal assault on members of questionable obedience. The so-called interim Ottawa police chief will justify anything he wants, and will be given all latitude to do so because he has demonstrated the requisite brutality. Lies are an assault to the obvious as pepper spray is an assault to the eyes.

One of the most basic concepts in Austrian economics is the division of labour. This idea describes how important it is to allow free people to do what they are best at in order to make a living. Once this apple cart is flipped society gets into real trouble, because efficiency is lost. Collectivists flip it because they arrogantly think they can do better by centralizing control of everything, including managing the division of labour from their ivory tower, or guard tower, whatever the case may be. As an aside, did you know that money printed by government was part of GDP calculations? So in other words, all the money that has been printed by governments since the beginning of the pandemic has been used in gross domestic product representations. How is this not deceptive to the average Joe when he’s trying to understand what’s going on with his hard-earned money? Productivity as reported is a huge lie. Does Joe know that 80% of the U.S. dollars that exist today were printed since January 2020? Does Joe know that in order to cushion the effects of inflation on the public, governments plan to print even more money? Does Canadian Joe know that his government has printed somewhere between 300%-600% more than what the U.S. has printed, proportionately? Do all Joes know that all this eventually leads to a big non-confidence vote for all fiat currencies? And when this happens you get hyperinflation, which is hyperdeflation only with a wheelbarrow?
Alas, all is not lost even in the autumn of our worry. I see vast numbers of Dystopia geese gathering around, fattening up before flying south. From what I understand they are not yet required to be vaccinated for their cross-border journey, nor are they required (as of this writing) to get the ArriveCan app upon their return. I really envy those guys. They’re as free as, well, birds.

JUNE 2021 Muslim Prayer in Public, Canada
Qur’an 8:12
“The house of war is every land where Muslims do not yet rule —-and where ISLAMISTS a will fight until they prevail no matter how long it takes”.
Shocking how everyone is now wearing a mask outside. Good little followers, why not slip into a hijab?
There was a point when people in Denmark thought it was “sweet” to see young men praying in the streets, before they arrived in masses and blocked streets.
Muslims were out and about yelling at the Danes recently in Denmark. “We have 5 children and you have 1 or 2, in 10 to 15 years there will be more Pakistanis than Danes in this country.
The charming (sarc) Muslims went on to accuse Europeans of beastiality to marriage, hence their lack of procreation. One yelled “I just got married and will have 5 kids, Others in the crowd yelled how Danes’ mothers and sisters will be pregnant again ( Muslims will father) because their mothers and sisters are “whores.” Others chanted “ it is not Denmark anymore, this is Paki-land, we are taking over your country”.

europravda – Brussels calls for €7.5B EU funding cut from Hungary over rule of law concerns
Good to know the EU is on the corruption beat while non-corrupt Ukraine soaks up as much grease and weaponry as it can. Good trick.
DEUTSCHE PRAVDA – EU moves to strip Hungary of €7.5 in funds over corruption
The European Union has recommended suspending 7.5 Bbillion euros in funds to Hungary over corruption allegations.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is accused of mismanaging EU funds and dismantling democratic institutions.
The money is intended to bring Hungary’s economy and infrastructure up to the bloc’s standards.
The suspension must be approved by a majority of EU member states within three months.
Europe moves to cut Hungary funding over damaging democracy! Hungary ‘an electoral autocracy’
The European Union executive recommended on Sunday suspending some 7.5 billion euros in funding for Hungary over corruption, the first such case in the 27-nation bloc under a new sanction meant to better protect the rule of law.
The EU introduced the new financial sanction two years ago precisely in response to what it says amounts to the undermining of democracy in Poland and Hungary, where Prime Minister Viktor Orban subdued courts, media, NGOs and academia, as well as restricting the rights of migrants, gays and women during more than a decade in power.
“It’s about breaches of the rule of law compromising the use and management of EU funds,” said EU Budget Commissioner Johannes Hahn. “We cannot conclude that the EU budget is sufficiently protected.”
He highlighted systemic irregularities in Hungary’s public procurement laws, insufficient safeguards against conflicts of interest, weaknesses in effective prosecution and shortcomings in other anti-graft measures.
Hahn said the Commission was recommending the suspension of about a third of cohesion funds envisaged for Hungary from the bloc’s shared budget for 2021-27 worth a total of 1.1 trillion euros.
The 7.5 billion euros in question amounts to 5% of the country’s estimated 2022 GDP. EU countries now have up to three months to decide on the proposal.
Hahn said Hungary’s latest promise to address EU criticisms was a significant step in the right direction but must still be translated into new laws and practical actions before the bloc would be reassured.
Development Minister Tibor Navracsics, in charge of negotiations with the EU, said Hungary would meet all 17 of its commitments made to the European Commission to stave off the loss of any EU funding.
“Hungary did not make commitments to befuddle the Commission,” Navracsics told a news conference. “We have made commitments that we know can be implemented … therefore, we will not be facing a loss of funds.”
CORRUPTION
Orban’s government proposed creating a new anti-graft agency in recent weeks as Budapest came under pressure to secure money for the ailing economy and forint, the worst-performing currency in the EU’s east.
Orban, who calls himself a “freedom fighter” against the world view of the liberal West, denies that Hungary – an ex-communist country of some 10 million people – is any more corrupt than others in the EU.
Navracsics said Orban’s government would submit laws to parliament on Friday to establish a new independent anti-graft authority to monitor the public procurement of EU funds, with the body to be launched by the second half of November.
Hungary has also pledged to implement several other anti-corruption safeguards, including tighter rules on conflicts of interest, extending the scope of financial statements and broadening the power of judges to pursue suspected corruption.
Navracsics expressed hope that the Commission would be reassured by the implementation of the reforms and withdraw its proposed sanctions against Hungary by Nov. 19.
The Commission is already blocking some 6 billion euros in funds envisaged for Hungary in a separate COVID economic recovery stimulus over the same corruption concerns.
Reuters documented in 2018 how Orban channels EU development funds to his friends and family, a practice human rights organisations say has immensely enriched his inner circle and allowed the 59-year-old to entrench himself in power.
Hungary had irregularities in nearly 4% of EU funds spending in 2015-2019, according to the bloc’s anti-fraud body OLAF, by far the worst result among the 27 EU countries.
Orban has also rubbed many in the bloc up the wrong way by cultivating continued close ties with President Vladimir Putin and threatening to deny EU unity needed to impose and preserve sanctions on Russia for waging war against Ukraine.
Ramona Strugariu: We cannot force European citizens to finance this madness
It is absurd that “they (Hungary) take EU money when they don’t believe in the EU’s institutions and values” said Romanian MEP Ramona Strugariu, Renew’s shadow negotiator on the report.
Strugariu stressed that for Renew, smart sanctioning was key so that the people of Hungary don’t suffer from the actions of their government.
Asked about Hungary’s future, the MEPs refused to speculate but stressed they would do what is possible under the remit of EU law.
The EU lawmakers underlined their support for the people of Hungary, adding that they would suffer if Hungary were to leave the EU.
– Hungary is no longer a democracy!!!
Bettina Vollath: EU Commission must follow up on infringement procedures against Hungary!
Bettina Vollath : the Austrian Social Democrat MEP said Viktor Orban sided with Russia in a speech in Romania.
A problem for EU unity.
Five out of the seven groups in the parliament agreed to define Hungary as an ‘electoral autocracy’ – meaning that it is no longer a democracy, according to Delbos-Corfield.
The MEP also claims that there are problems ahead in the Council as “what is voted in Council should be voted on by clear democratic members” and that a vote cannot “be persistent with a non-democratic state.”
The Left: European Parliament declares Hungary “no longer a democracy”!
Left MEP Malin Björk (Vänsterpartiet, Sweden) said: “It’s symbolic and important that the on the same day Hungary’s restrictive abortion laws come into force, the European Parliament declares it no longer a full democracy.
The authoritarian Right is threatening democracy across the EU, suppressing the rights of minorities and women.
Today’s vote should be a call to action for the European Commission to suspend EU funds until the most basic democratic functions are in place.”
European Parliament says Hungary is no longer a ‘full democracy’
Hungarian women dismayed as new ‘tormenting’ abortion rules take effect
Hungarian women voiced dismay as an amendment to abortion rules took effect on Thursday in what some see as a first step towards a tightening of access to the procedure under a deeply conservative government.
Thanks for all this, Martin. It’s clear the EU will not permit Hungarian neutrality vis-a-vis the Ukraine war. It’s nice to see Romanian opinions carrying such weight on the subject–there cannot be any bias there. As for Orban’s corruption it may be true for all I know. What I don’t get is how he managed another super majority in the last election, and how the EU and its legacy media see no issues with Biden or son Hunter. No graft there…
BBC – Large-scale disorder breaks out in Leicester
Large-scale disorder broke out in Leicester on Saturday, with police and community leaders calling for calm.
Officers tried to hold back crowds amid tensions involving mainly young men from sections of the Muslim and Hindu communities.
Police said two arrests had been made, and that the trouble flared up after “an unplanned protest”.
[…]Police said one man was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit violent disorder and another on suspicion of possession of a bladed article.

METRO – Trouble breaks out between groups of men outside religious centre in Leicester
There have been calls for calm between communities in Leicester after disorder broke out overnight.
Large groups of young men gathered for unplanned protests, following several similar incidents of problems in the previous weeks.
Video showed how an orange flag was pulled down outside a religious building, thought to be the Shivalaya Hindu community centre.
A spokesperson for the organisation posted on Facebook this morning: ‘Yesterday there were scenes of protest, violence and disorderly behaviour by a gathering of large groups of people on Belgrave Road.
‘Members of the gathering were seen trespassing the Shivalaya building, vandalising the Shivalaya’s flags and burning them.
‘We are shocked and saddened to see such behaviour. Please keep safe, we hope for order, oneness, unity, peace and calmness in our community.’
Groups of Hindu men were also seen chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ (Glory/victory to Lord Ram), and throwing bottles, according to witnesses.
The city’s police chief released a video urging people not to get involved in the disorder.
In a video filmed at 9pm last night, temporary Chief Constable Rob Nixon said: ‘We have had numerous reports of an outbreak of disorder in parts of the east Leicester area of the city.
‘There are additional officers en route and dispersal powers and stop search powers have been authorised.
‘Please do not get involved, we are calling for calm.’
A spokesman for Leicestershire Police said two people were arrested on Saturday night and into Sunday morning.
They said reports that a mosque was being attacked were ‘not true’.
A police spokesman said: ‘Several incidents of violence and damage have been reported to the police and are being investigated.
‘We are aware of a video circulating showing a man pulling down a flag outside a religious building on Melton Road, Leicester.
‘This appears to have taken place while police officers were dealing with public disorder in the area. The incident will be investigated.

Robert Redfield, a self-described friend of Anthony Fauci and former CDC director, talked to Substack writer Paul D. Thacker about Fauci possibly funding gain-of-function research and the lab-leak theory.
“The potential for conspiracy is really on the other side,” Redfield said in the article published Thursday. “The conspiracy is Collins, Fauci, and the established scientific community that has acted in an antithetical way to science.”

“I think this is where Tony may have overplayed his hand when he was so aggressive with Congress, saying that he was never involved in funding gain of function research,” Redfield continued. “There’s too much evidence that’s just not true.”

Federal Court Upholds Texas Social Media Bill, Rules Corporations Do Not Have ‘Right’ To Censor
Posted On September 17, 2022
The U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals preserved Texas state law Friday that would stop large social media platforms from restricting particular opinions.
Texas’ HB 20 was signed last year and generally prohibits platforms with over 50 million monthly U.S. users from censoring them based on their viewpoints. The Computer Communications Industry Association (CCIA) and the NetChoice organization, representing social media companies, argued that aspects of the law were unconstitutional but failed to convince the court.
“In urging such sweeping relief, the platforms offer a rather odd inversion of the First Amendment,” the court’s majority decision said. “That Amendment, of course, protects every person’s right to ‘the freedom of speech.’ But the platforms argue that buried somewhere in the person’s enumerated right to free speech lies a corporation’s unenumerated right to muzzle speech.”

LIEBERMAN: A Little-Known UN Treaty Screws America And The Senate Can’t Wait To Pass It
Posted On September 17, 2022
It’s the worst United Nations treaty that you’ve never heard of, and the Senate is on the verge of ratifying it. The Kigali Amendment is bad for consumers and bad for American competitiveness, yet it may soon be the law of the land.
The Kigali Amendment restricts production of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) based on concerns that they contribute to (what else?) climate change.
The problem is that HFCs are the refrigerants needed to run most home air conditioners, vehicle air conditioners and many millions of refrigeration systems used by businesses like restaurants and supermarkets. Replenishing HFCs lost from a leak will get costlier as supplies dwindle and prices rise.

Princess Amalia, PM Mark Rutte potentially targeted by organized crime
https://nltimes.nl/2022/09/17/princess-amalia-pm-mark-rutte-potentially-targeted-organized-crime
Security measures have been heightened for Princess Amalia and Prime Minister Mark Rutte amid fears that an organized crime group will attack or kidnap one of them, De Telegraaf reports.
The police and Public Prosecution Service (OM) are on high alert because of indications that the group’s leaders will target the princess or prime minister. Authorities are also concerned with the recent close contact between two high-profile inmates of the Extra Secure Institution in Vught, Ridouan Taghi and Mohammed B.
Taghi is an alleged criminal leader, while B. is serving a life sentence for the murder of Theo van Gogh. B. was transferred due to concerns that the two were becoming too close. However, they have since exchanged letters that may have contained encoded messages, according to De Telegraaf.
The Dutch crown princess began attending the University of Amsterdam in early September. She appears not to be living in her dorm, De Telegraaf reports.
This is the second time Rutte has been allegedly targeted by the criminal group. Last September, the prime minister’s security was stepped up due to suspicion that he could be attacked or abducted by organized crime.
