Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  1. Yesterday was a big day for precious metals. They’ve seen week after week of miserable performance while watching the USD rise. This rise is also inflicting enormous pain on emerging markets, who borrowed in cheap USD to run their economies, but then found themselves having to pay back under much higher interest rates. The cheap Keynesian money regime couldn’t last forever, even when people believed the longest stretch of artificially near-zero rates in human history would last forever. Predatory lending? No. More like kamikaze borrowing.

    Talk of the “Fed Pivot” has been going on for a while now as rising rates impose their excruciating effects. As necessary as they are–the cleaning of the proverbial malinvestment forest, or any other metaphor to describe the return of the banished business cycle–weak political commie whores likely won’t stand the heat in this politicized world of their own creation. Continuing to raise rates into the mid-terms will likely be political suicide for the Dems. Pivoting will see the dollar drop and inflation rise. “Pick Your Poison Powell” should be a bumper sticker. Whatever happens, hang on to your hats because this will be one crazy ride. I will be very surprised if we do not experience a massive diversionary false flag to extricate the Fed from this cornered position. After all, it is a very similar position that the Fed was in just prior to the plandemic, which many sober pundits have pointed out. As crazy as it sounds, I think the most likely big event that solves the most economic problems on the table right now is a ceasefire in the Ukraine.

      • Actually, it’s kind of interesting why I consider the cease-fire possibility. Legendary commodities investor Jim Rogers, who hides his sophistication behind an aw-shucks false modesty, started the Quantum Fund with Soros around 1970. Obviously, they were very successful. Rogers recently made the cease-fire prediction in an interview. Knowing these guys run both on excellent research and insider knowledge, I suppose they still answer the phone when one calls the other–even if for old times’ sake–which is rarely the motive for pure money men. So I am sure Rogers asked Soros for the inside edge on Uke war timing, because timing is everything, and George knows. Yes, it’s a hunch, but when no one is considering such a thing is possible, the insiders make monster bets and win.

    Gas prices are at record highs, the economy is in recession, parents are having difficulty finding a baby formula, and the cost of everything is way up.

    According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), there are currently no nationwide food shortages in the country.

    “There are currently no nationwide shortages of food, although in some cases the inventory of certain foods at your grocery store might be temporarily low before stores can restock,” the agency said on their website. “Food production and manufacturing are widely dispersed throughout the U.S. and there are currently no wide-spread disruptions reported in the supply chain.”

    The Trump legal team and fascist Merrick Garland and the corrupt DOJ came to an agreement in a potential candidate to serve as the special master in the Mar-a-Lago case.

    Judge Raymond Dearie’s name is being presented as a possible special master who will review the documents seized by the DOJ-FBI in the Mar-a-Lago raid.

    Judge Raymond Dearie was one of the FISA judges who signed the warrant to spy on Carter Page without cause.

  7. Teacher in transgender pronoun row still in prison as latest bid for release fails

    Mr Burke’s dispute with Wilson’s Hospital School in Multyfarnham, Co Westmeath, began when staff were asked to refer to a student who wanted to transition with they/them pronouns

    Transgender row teacher Enoch Burke has failed in his bid to be released from Mountjoy Prison – after arguing that the disciplinary proceedings brought against him by the school were “unlawful and unconstitutional”.

    The evangelical Christian has been in prison for over a week after he breached an injunction barring him from attending the school where he works.

    Mr Burke’s dispute with Wilson’s Hospital School in Multyfarnham, Co Westmeath, began when staff were asked to refer to a student who wanted to transition with the they/them pronouns.

    Mr Burke, who claims that transgenderism is against his strong religious beliefs, refused to do so and later publicly confronted the principal to voice his opposition to using the pronouns.

    He was put on administrative leave pending a disciplinary process over this “outburst”, but Mr Burke continued to attend the premises, leading the school to get a court injunction preventing him from doing so.

    The High Court jailed the teacher last Monday for breaching this injunction, and he has remained in Mountjoy since then.

    Yesterday Mr Burke, who represented himself with the help of his brother Isaac, asked the court for injunctions halting the schools’ disciplinary process which he said is “unconstitutional and unlawful”.

    He said the decision to put him on paid leave was “unreasonable, unfair, unjust and unlawful” and said it would be “unconscionable” to allow a disciplinary hearing to proceed in Mullingar on Wednesday, 14 September, or any other date.

    “I should be going home with my father and my brother this evening,” Mr Burke, who was brought to court from Mountjoy Prison, said.

    He added that he wanted to be back in the school.

    Barrister Rosemary Mallon, acting for the school, told the court that after Mr Burke had very clearly indicated last week that he would not be purging his contempt it was decided not to go ahead with the disciplinary meeting scheduled for Wednesday.

    She said if Mr Burke had contacted the school’s solicitors, he would have known the hearing was not going ahead.

    She said there was “no need for the urgency we were all brought to the court today”.

    She said Mr Burke would be given notice of any hearing taking place.

    Mr Justice Conor Dignam said it was not necessary for him to grant three of the injunctions sought by Mr Burke to prevent a disciplinary hearing because at the outset today, the school said the scheduled hearing was not going ahead.

    He adjourned Mr Burke’s application for an injunction preventing him from being put on administrative leave or continuing to be on administrative leave.

    The matter will come before the court again tomorrow .

    BELGRADE, Sept 11 (Reuters) – Thousands of religious and right-wing activists marched through Serbia’s capital on Sunday calling for authorities to ban a Gay Pride march planned for next weekend.

    The protesters – who carried a massive Serbian flag – included groups who also shouted slogans backing Serbia’s long-term ally Russia, as well as nationalistic and far-right causes

    A column of bikers who support the policies of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, revved their engines in support of the crowds who marched to Belgrade’s St Sava cathedral for prayers.

    In a sermon, the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Porfirije, said the EuroPride event threatened traditional family values.

    “They want to desecrate the sanctity of marriage and the family and impose an unnatural union as a substitute for marriage,” he told the crowd.

    Serbia’s president, Aleksandar Vucic, said on Saturday there had been threats against the march, and it was up to the police whether it should be stopped.

    LGBT and rights groups have repeatedly said they will march next Saturday even if authorities call it off.

    Gay sex is legal in Serbia, but same-sex marriages are not allowed and activists say LGBT people face hostility and discrimination.

    Serbian governments have banned Pride parades in the past, and some events in the early 2000s were marred by violence.

    Many in Sunday’s crowd waved Russian flags, a show of support for Moscow in a country where the government is trying to balance its ambition to join the European Union with its longstanding ties with Russia and China.

    Brussels has said Serbia needs to make a string of reforms to become as EU member including improving the rule of law and its human and minority rights record.

    Did the world just witness the first evidence of Iran-Russia drone war on Ukraine?

    Ukraine claiming it shot down an Iranian Shahed-136 drone, if true, would be the first evidence that Iranian drones are being used by Russia. Here’s why it’s a big deal.

    Russia had sent delegations to Iran to examine the drones earlier this year and the first shipment allegedly arrived in Russia in August. That Russia would be able to put them into action so quickly may be surprising.

    On the other hand, Russia is losing ground to a Ukrainian offensive and Moscow prefers to sacrifice either non-Russians or equipment in its fight against Ukraine while trying to avoid the conscription of large numbers of men in Moscow for the war.

    Why is this important now?
    Back in July, US reports circulated that Russia was looking into Iranian drones. By August 6, Russia had already deployed the drones to the frontline. By September 7, the US had sanctioned Iranian firms involved in the manufacture and shipping of drones to Russia.

    So which drones are we talking about? According to reports, the drones are the Shahed 171 and also the Shahed 129 and 191. The 191 is a large Delta-wing-shaped drone, and the Shahed 129 looks like a Predator drone, similar to a small plane.

    Reports also circulated that the Moahjer-6 was one of the drones Russia was looking at. The US has said that the Russians were training with the drones in early August. Were the Iranian drones operational? Will they survive the harsh environment and will Russia produce them locally?

      The Shahed-136 was also used to attack Saudi Arabian targets multiple times — it is estimated to have an effective range of around 2,000 to 2,200 kilometers (1,370 miles)

      Its warhead is quite large and causes a lot of damage for a kamikaze drone.

      It appears to be specifically produced for Russia due to the Russian name printed on it OR produced by Russia under a license.

      Top American air defense systems got completely embarrassed by these drones in Saudi Arabia. They did not even detect them coming straight for the hit.

      The Saudi site that was hit had US Patriot Air Defense systems stationed in it. The drone also passed the entire US fifth fleet with Aegis systems — it was not detected.
