Reader’s Links for September 6th, 2022

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. The following is a video by a Czech opposition leader who claims that the Czech Republic is facing the worst deficits in all the countries of the EU, that they are unsustainable and will bankrupt the Czech Republic.

I suspect this is related to the past weekend demonstration of 70+K people in Prague who were protesting record inflation (claims it is catastrophic), who wanted to leave the EU – but whom the Fiala regime had termed ‘extremists’ and ‘pro-Putin provocateurs’. Reuters even called the protest organizers ‘far right organizations…including the Communist Party).

  2. global news – Trump request for special master in FBI probe granted by judge, stalling criminal investigation

A U.S. judge, originally appointed by former president Donald Trump, has approved his request to appoint a special master to review documents seized by the FBI from his Mar-a-Lago estate last month, effectively stalling the criminal investigation into the highly classified documents at his resort.

The move still allows for a national security review to continue, but the judge’s ruling comes despite objections from the Justice Department.

A sheriff’s deputy turned political prisoner was maced in the face in the DC Gulag yesterday for removing his face mask to take his medication. The Tennessee man was then left in a cell covered in the spray for over eight hours of torture, unable to de-contaminate and rinse off his burning skin

Ronald Colton McAbee was employed by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee before he became a political prisoner of the Biden Regime. He has been detained for over a year as he awaits trial with a date set for September of 2023.

    $20 fast-food burger incoming…

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) on Monday signed a new fast-food bill that will pave the path for $22 an hour minimum wage.

Democrat Assemblywoman Luz Rivas celebrated the new bill and called it a “watershed moment in the history of the labor movement, led by Black and Latino fast food workers…”

California judge, who hails from a powerful Democrat family who endorsed LA DA George Gascon, granted a mistrial for a man facing life in prison because he was sleepy.

The alleged criminal apparently did not get a good night’s rest before the trial after spending the night in a cell without a bed or blanket.

  6. The Wall Street Journal recently reported that California Gov. Gavin Newsom was spearheading an eleventh-hour effort to pass legislation to extend a lifeline to Diablo Canyon, a 2,250-megawatt nuclear plant that supplies some 8 percent of the energy produced in the Golden State.

Under pressure from lawmakers and environmental activists, the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) agreed in 2016 to decommission Diablo when its operating licenses expire in 2024 and 2025. But in light of the recent energy policy environment, California lawmakers had second thoughts

On the very final day of the legislative session, lawmakers passed a bill that will extend the plant five more years.

This is a sharp turn for Newsom, who had long intimated that the Diablo Canyon plant should be closed.

“I just don’t see that this plant is going to survive beyond 2024, 2025. I just don’t see that,” Newsom said while running for governor in 2016. “And there is a compelling argument as to why it shouldn’t.”

At least 11 mass shootings have occurred across mostly Democrat-run cities nationwide during Labor Day weekend so far, killing at least 15 people, according to Gun Violence Archive.

Saint Paul, Minnesota, Charleston, South Carolina, Chicago, Philadelphia
Mass shootings have occurred in cities including Saint Paul, Minnesota, Charleston, South Carolina, Chicago, Philadelphia and Cleveland, killing at least 15 people during Labor Day weekend so far, according to the Gun Violence Archive. Most of the cities are run by Democratic mayors.

The weekend’s deadliest mass shooting so far occurred in Saint Paul, Minnesota, represented by Democratic Mayor Melvin Carter III, where three people died and two others were injured on Sept. 5 in the city’s Payne-Phalen neighborhood, according to The Hill.

The Gun Violence Archive defines mass shootings as incidents in which four or more people were shot or killed, excluding the shooter. (RELATED: Miami’s Gun Buyback Will Send Americans’ Weapons To Ukraine)

The archive identified another mass shooting that killed two people and injured three in Philadelphia on Sept. 5, where President Joe Biden gave a speech lambasting former President Donald Trump’s supporters as a “threat to democracy” a few days earlier.

  8. A Canadian farmers’ revolt will make the truckers’ episode look like pattycake. Don’t forget even a small tractor can lift over 1000 lbs with its loader. Bigger ones will flip any barrier or cop car in front of it. And will the Left and Dear Leader really try to conflate farmers with the “extreme right” so that it is clear the “extreme right” feeds us all? Good luck with it.

I regret to inform that Ozernoe, much like the borderpost incident near Kharkov, wasn’t just an innocent photo op. There must have been a few Russian forces there who hit the landing party and retreated. I am assuming this due to the lack of BDA evidence from the Ukrainian side.

There is media blackout in Ukraine. All we know is of military convoys of ambulances with wailing sirens rushing through Odessa city streets, hospitals in Odessa and Nikolai regions overflowing with wounded servicemen, and eerie public calls for blood donation.

Transcapathia region in western Ukraine from where the locally-recruited 128th mountain assault brigade was redeployed to the Kherson front declared a day’s mourning in memory of its brave sons who lost lives….

The arms supplies from European countries to Ukraine have virtually dried up to a trickle and a similar trend is discernible with the US supplies too…

Zelensky must be a worried man. He needs to convince the US that such massive multi-billion dollar military aid has been worth it. He should show at the very least, a bloody stalemate on the southern warfront… There is always the danger that Zelensky might overreach…

That said, Zelensky cannot give up, as he is desperately in need of a success story. Kiev still hopes to reverse the situation, but how that is achievable remains to be seen…

Kathy Griffin, the same psychopath who took photos and released a video of herself holding the decapitated head of President Trump, is now declaring civil war if Americans don’t vote for Democrats in November.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported on her unapologetically grotesque stunt and her following attacks on the President’s youngest son, Barron.

  14. Larry Johnson:
Ukraine and Russia–It Is A Math Problem

The truth of the matter is that Russia is relying on the Donbas militias to do the bulk of the front line fighting because it is home for those militias. Claims that the Russian military has suffered major casualties is delusional because the Russian forces are in the rear and providing fire support–ground and air–to the Donbas militias. Yes, there are some Russian troops on the frontlines in some places, but the cold, hard fact is that Russia has not committed a significant portion of its total military forces to the battle. Not yet, anyway….

[Quotes Swiss Army Colonel Jacques Baud]
“The one-sided and biased representation provided by mainstream media is not intended to help us solve the problem, but to promote hatred of Russia.

Thus, the exclusion of disabled athletes, cats, even Russian trees from competitions, the dismissal of conductors, the de-platforming of Russian artists, such as Dostoyevsky, or even the renaming of paintings aims at excluding the Russian population from society! In France, bank accounts of individuals with Russian-sounding names were even blocked…”

We’ve seen plenty of vicious, dehumanizing russophobia right here. Doesn’t matter if the targets are -in fact- from Belarus or Ukraine, across eleven time zones and 30 years removed.
