Reader’s Links for September 5th, 2022

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

The Chilean constitutional vote: A tectonic shift?

Fifty years after the US tried to derail Chilean democracy, Chile is paving the way for a new, progressive model of governance.

In a compulsory nationwide plebiscite on Sunday, September 4, Chileans will vote on whether to approve a new draft constitution to replace the current one, which dates from 1980 and the Pinochet heyday.

In terms of equality, the draft constitution does not fail to deliver. For starters, it is the first constitution in the world to be drawn up by an equal number of women and men, with significant representation from Indigenous communities, as well.

As CNN’s Spanish website notes, the document racks up a number of other firsts, too. It would be the first Chilean constitution to enshrine rights for, inter alia, women, children, and LGBTQ and gender-nonconforming people. In an unprecedented stand on behalf of Indigenous rights, the text defines Chile as a “plurinational” state, proposing greater autonomy for Indigenous territories and the recognition of Indigenous legal systems.

The new constitution would furthermore ensure a woman’s right to terminate a pregnancy – a progressive step indeed in a country where abortion was totally banned until 2017. Also proposed are measures to limit the well-established potential for abuse by state security forces.

Plus, the new text includes various protections for organised labour and guarantees basic rights like health, education, shelter, food, and water – which, however basic they may be, still spell sacrilege from a neoliberal perspective.

Granted, there are also plenty of Chilean leftists who argue that the new document doesn’t go far enough. But it’s still a breath of fresh air in a world asphyxiated by capitalism – particularly given its emphasis on Chile as an “ecological” entity, where the state must play an active role in safeguarding the rights of nature along with human environmental rights.

It’s all certainly more inspiring than the constitution of the United States, which has been forced down the throat of many a developing nation as a model – despite the fact that the country was founded on the genocide of Indigenous folks and the institutionalised inequality of human beings.

BREAKING: Chileans overwhelmingly reject new socialist constitution

#UPDATE Chileans have emphatically rejected a proposed new constitution to replace the one adopted during the Augusto Pinochet dictatorship.

With more than 72% of votes counted, the camp rejecting change led with over 62% compared to just under 38% for those in favour

      • Chileans are in big trouble anyway.
The govt that cooked this up is still their govt. It’s the Salvador Allende base that the CIA saw fit to take down and replace with Pinochet. (Who was indeed a monster.)

They’ve got a huge, rabid Palestinian diaspora. Lots of Twisted-Ragheads have a bridgehead there, a place to scarper when the time comes.

I know a few Chileno-Americanos. Hair-raising stories, an altogether ugly history.

    • This is an open attack on the human race, an attack that the majority of people are ignoring. This war for the soul of the human race is going to be a long one.

  2. Intel Slava Z, Kherson Counteroffensive:

According to [Ukr] Legitimny channel this was the setup for Kherson offensive, wave 1-2 got completely destroyed.

    – the first wave: strike groups of special forces.

    Approximate participation 10.000 people

    – the third and fourth wave: it is underway now, and consists of additional special forces and Armed Forces of Ukraine with combat experience of at least four months.
    Approximate number of participants: 10.000

    – the fifth wave, now being brought from the rear: it consists of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the territorial defense. Approximate number: 20.000

Comment from another source, a classist military historian who studied under V.D. Hanson:

The Ukrainian sequencing of troops has an honorable history: the three lines of Roman pre-Marian formations:
    • hastate least experienced in the front line,
    • principes more seasoned troops in the 2nd line and
    • triarii veterans in the back.

Basically, the youth softens up the enemy for the toughest experienced men to go in for the kill in the final stages of the fight.

    • The childish origins of the word ‘infantry’

In the days of antiquity, being in the cavalry was a privilege specifically reserved for those who ranked higher in the social order than the common people. Those who were too young, too inexperienced, or too poor to have a horse, usually ended up in a type of combat unit specifically named for them: the infantry…

The word “infantry” is just as its root word suggests. Derived from the latin word infans, the word literally means infancy…

The word infantia means “unable to speak” or perhaps more colloquially, “not able to have an opinion.” The latter word might describe any infantry throughout history. As a conscript, you were forced into the service of a lord for his lands and allies, not given a choice in the matter.

I think that US war-aims for this conflict should include “de-imperialization” of Russia.

It seems to me that we are seeing the beginning of the end of the Russian Federation as it looks today.

      ================================================

General Ben Hodges: Thousands Of Russian Troops Will Be Captured Or Destroyed Inside This Sort Of Pocket

The Russians are unlikely to be able to stop Ukraine’s decisive offensive on Kherson.

A retired American lieutenant general, former commander of US forces in Europe, a veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Ben Hodges, in an interview with Charter97.org, assessed the situation on the fronts in Ukraine and the prospects for the Lukashenka regime.

      — In the recent days, Lukashenka made a direct threat to the West, “They [the West] must understand that if they opt for escalation no helicopters or planes will save them,” and then he added that “everything is ready”, implying that Belarusian warplanes have been modified to carry nuclear weapons. Do statements like that bring the nuclear conflict one step closer, or it as just a bluff?

      — First of all, it’s irresponsible for Mr. Lukashenka to use language like that. It’s unnecessary and it’s also empty. When he talks about escalation, the West has not escalated — Russia is, who invaded Ukraine with Mr. Lukashenka’s government. So, the notion that it’s escalation by the West is empty rhetoric.

Secondly, I don’t believe it for a second. The idea, that somehow air force from Belarus would carry a nuclear weapon to help Russia, seems to me so entirely unlikely, and I would expect that people of Belarus would rise up in a way to prevent that. I think also, people around Lukashenka know that it would be suicide for Belarus to participate in any sort of nuclear strike because the US and UK would not be able to stand by, they would have to respond to any use of nuclear weapons. So that’s why I think it’s very unlikely.

And then finally I say, it’s irresponsible also given the reckless behavior of Russian troops around the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) to talk about somehow using nuclear weapons while hundreds of millions of people are already concerned about the danger from ZNPP, is further reckless behavior by Mr. Lukashenka.

But he is continuing to play his game, trying to satisfy Moscow without having to actually do anything. I think this is part of that game.

      — Looking from the Western and the Ukrainian side, as a general rule, Ukraine avoids open strikes on Russian territory. Does it seem to you as a correct strategy of not provoking Putin or is it too much reticence to him?

      — I think there’s been too much talk from the US and other Western capitals about not provoking the Kremlin or risking escalation to World War III. I think, we’ve seen that Russia is incapable of doing that with anything other than a nuclear weapon. And I don’t believe it’s plausible or likely that Russia would use a nuclear weapon inside Ukraine for the reasons I’ve already given.

I think that as far as Ukraine hitting targets inside Russia, certainly, if Russian aircrafts are taking off from an airfield inside Russia and murdering innocent Ukrainian civilians with missiles launched from inside Russia, then the Ukrainian General Staff, I think, could legitimately hit those targets. Of course, they’ll have to make a political calculation about what would be the other effects of that, but in terms of a legitimate target those can be hit. And I would say also, and this would be a decision for Ukraine, if Russian aircraft taking off of Belarus and murdering innocent Ukrainian civilians then, I think, those become legitimate targets, but that that’ll be a decision for Ukrainian General Staff.

I would expect that most people of Belarus are not happy that Russian aircrafts are flying out of Belarus and killing innocent Ukrainian civilians.

      — The information about Kherson is very limited but could you explain why the events there are significant and which are things to watch for?

      — We don’t have a lot of information about what’s happening in Kherson but we should not have a lot of information. The Ukrainian General Staff is doing a very good job protecting information, what we call OPSEC, operational security, because if we know it then the Russians would know it.

I think the Ukrainian General Staff has done a good job the last few weeks of setting the conditions, what we call shaping operations, setting the conditions for a counter offensive, whenever they’re ready: destroying Russian logistics, destroying Russian headquarters, destroying Russian airfields and lines of communication, destroying Russian artillery and rockets and destroying bridges that would help Russian across the Dnipro River in and around Kherson . So, these are all important steps that have been taken. You’d also seen, partisan and special forces attacks against different infrastructure inside the occupied areas to include the assassination, for example, of the top collaborator in Kherson . I think we are going to see more and more of these things, which create fear, confusion in the rear, and we should watch for this. There’s not enough of Russian forces to protect their own rear area. And so, this is an important part of Ukraine’s preparation.

I would suspect, I don’t know this, but I would suspect that they have also been building up forces for use in an eventual counter attack, resisting the temptation to push every new thing into the fight instead to marshal these forces, have them prepared for when it was time to launch when the conditions were right (and only the Ukrainian general staff will know when it’s right for that). So, I think we’re seeing probably something like this, but we won’t know for, I think, a few more days.

Why is this significant? Number one, Kherson was the first capital city of an Oblast, that was captured. And we saw what Russia intends to do – they Russify everything: the ruble, the language, the culture. They’re eliminating every aspect of Ukrainian culture that they could and putting their own people in place. So, it’s important to reverse that and especially to do this before any bogus referendum about the status of Kherson Oblast.

Secondly, potentially, thousands of Russian troops will be captured or destroyed inside this sort of pocket if Ukraine wants to do this. This would be a major blow to Russian forces and it would be impossible for the Kremlin to come up with a fairytale to explain it. You could be sure that Russian troops that are trapped in Kherson will not fight the way Ukrainian soldiers in Mariupol did — this will be a comparison of the fighting will and capabilities.

Third, if Kherson is eliminated as a Russian pocket, then the Ukrainians will have the ability to move HIMARS and other rocket launchers further to the East, much closer to Crimea. And so now you can envision the possibility of daily attacks on all the infrastructure, including the port in Sevastopol on the Crimean peninsula. That will really make it very difficult for Russia to operate out of Crimea. The Black Sea Fleet is already hiding behind the peninsula and Ukraine does not even have a Navy. This [capture of Kherson] will make it very difficult for the Russians. And for sure you will not see any more Russian vacationers at the beach in Crimea

      — Why do you think it’s a difficult for Russia to draft 137,000 people to the war (as you’ve mentioned in one of your recent interviews)?

      — First of all, I never believe any number that comes from Russia. The numbers for decades that they have reported how many troops they have, have always been inflated by 20-30%, false numbers all the time. This is a classic method of corruption — to claim more soldiers to draw salary, and then you pocket the difference. So, I don’t believe any number.

Secondly, they already cannot fill the units that they have. There’s no Russian unit that’s full. So where are they going to get 137,000 new fresh bodies to step forward?

Yes, Russia has a population somewhere between 130 and 140 million. It’s a shrinking population. It’s not a healthy population. many young people are trying to get out of there. You notice that almost nobody comes [to the war] from Moscow or St. Petersburg. All the casualties come from ethnic regions outside of the two major Russian cities, because nobody wants to be in the Russian military. You saw the same videos I did of the people at the beach in Crimea. I saw a lot of young, healthy, fit people. Why were they not joined in the army if Crimea is holy land for them?

This is why I don’t believe that they will ever be able to get that many people. And actually, I don’t think they even intend to get that many people. It shows some of the confusion, I think, of what’s going on inside the Kremlin.

All of us have seen videos about the terrible quality of the helmet that a Russian soldier carries, the terrible conditions, the inability of Russian logistics system to provide food and ammunition for their soldiers, medical care. If we see that, then the Russians are seeing that too and families are not going to want their son be put in that kind of a situation. So, that’s another reason why I don’t think we are going to see a lot of volunteers.

      — What are your expectations of how this conflict will look like in the next six months?

      — Because of the terrible logistics, Russians are exhausted. They cannot sustain any offensive operations. I don’t think they are going to be able to stop a determined Ukrainian attack as long as the West sticks with Ukraine. I believe that we are going to see Russian forces pushed all the way back to the 23 February line by the end of this year. Think of the map: after six months with all the advantages and all of Russia’s supposed military capability, look at the tiny little sliver of Ukraine that they control. And it’s getting smaller. So, I think it is entirely plausible, that Ukraine pushes Russia back to the 23 February line by the end of this year.

And I believe that we will see Crimea return to Ukrainian sovereignty probably next year sometime with combination of military and diplomatic efforts. President Zelensky said, “This thing started with Crimea and it’s going to end with Crimea.” And I think that’s exactly what all the Ukrainian people believe.

And I would say that the Lukashenka regime right now probably realizes that they handcuff themselves to a corpse; that they are probably trying to figure out how do they survive while getting some more distance yeah from the Kremlin.

DEUTSCHE PRAVDA – Ukraine claims to have broken through Russian front lines at counteroffensive near Kherson

There is “heavy fighting” in “almost the entire territory” of the southern Ukrainian region of Kherson occupied by Russian troops, Ukraine’s presidency said. The clashes were raging after Ukrainian troops on Monday launched a counter-offensive seeking to retake the southern region which was seized by Russia early in the war. “Powerful explosions continued throughout the day and throughout the night in Kherson region,” the president’s office said in a morning update. “Heavy fighting is taking place in almost the entire territory of the Kherson region. The Armed Forces of Ukraine launched offensive actions in various directions.” Britain’s Defense Ministry also said in its daily intelligence bulletin that the Ukrainian armed forces heightened the rate of artillery fire across southern Ukraine, and long-range precision strikes continued to disrupt Russian resupply. Russia has made efforts since the beginning of August to reinforce its troops on the western bank of the Dnipro river around Kherson, the ministry said.

Meanwhile, it least five people were killed and seven wounded as Russian shelling hit the centre of Ukraine’s second city of Kharkiv, the mayor Igor Terekhov said on his Telegram account. Russia accuses Ukraine of fresh shelling of nuclear plant Russian-installed authorities in the Ukrainian city of Enerhodar accused Ukrainian troops of once again shelling the territory of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, Russia’s TASS news agency said.

The city authorities said two shells exploded near a spent fuel storage building at the plant, according to TASS. Ukraine and Russia have repeatedly accused each other of attacking Europe’s biggest nuclear power plant, set to be visited this week by an International Atomic Energy Agency team of monitors led by the UN agency’s director general, Rafael Grossi.

European Union defense ministers, at a meeting in Prague, are looking to pave the way for the establishment of an EU training mission for Ukrainian forces, the bloc’s top diplomat Josep Borrell said as he arrived in the Czech capital on Tuesday. “The situation on the ground continues to be very bad. Ukraine needs our support, and we will continue providing support,” Borrell told reporters. “A general, overall political agreement [on the training mission] is what I think we have to get today. I hope we will have a political green light for this mission,” he said, without giving details. “That’s the moment to act, that’s the moment to take decisions.” It is not clear yet where a broader EU training program could be based and what mandate it might have. “There is war in Europe and not far from here. Russia’s brutal aggression will be the most important topic of our meeting today,” Czech Defense Minister Jana Cernochova said. Later in the day, EU foreign ministers, also meeting in Prague, may agree tightening the issuance of visas for Russians and start debating a wider ban on tourist visas, though EU officials said there was no agreement on that. The European Union must not stop Russian tourists from visiting the bloc, Germany and France said ahead of a foreign ministers’ meeting.

    • Russian president uses energy as weapon by cutting supply: EU Commission chief

‘He will fail,’ says Ursula von der Leyen, adding that commission is preparing proposals to help households, businesses

The EU Commission chief on Monday accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of using energy as “a weapon” by cutting the supply and manipulating the markets.

“Putin is using energy as a weapon by cutting supply and manipulating our energy markets,” Ursula von der Leyen said on Twitter.

“He will fail. Europe will prevail,” von der Leyen stressed.

Noting that the commission is preparing proposals to help vulnerable households and businesses cope with high energy prices, she said it will aim to reduce the electricity demand and the price cap on pipeline gas.

It will also aim to help vulnerable consumers and businesses with revenue from the energy sector, and enable support to electricity producers facing liquidity challenges linked to volatility, she added.

Gas prices surged after the Russian energy company Gazprom announced that natural gas shipments from the Nord Stream 1 pipeline to Europe have been halted indefinitely.

Gazprom shut down the pipeline between Aug. 31-Sept. 2 for repairs, and supplies were scheduled to resume after Sept. 2, but the company announced the pipeline would remain closed.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Monday that shipments via the pipeline could start if sanctions against Russia are lifted as they are prohibiting pipeline maintenance.

    • NETHERLANDS – Agriculture minister resigns in first departure from Rutte’s fourth Cabinet

Agriculture Minister Henk Staghouwer has resigned. The ChristenUnie Cabinet minister is the first minister to depart from Mark Rutte’s fourth Cabinet. King Willem-Alexander granted the resignation request on Monday. Former Agriculture Minister Carola Schouten, who now heads up the Cabinet’s poverty policy, will temporarily take over Staghouwer’s duties.

Staghouwer had been at odds with the Tweede Kamer since the day the much-maligned “nitrogen map” was published. The nitrogen emissions reduction plan was absent any concrete measures to give farmers perspective for the future. Earlier on Monday, Staghouwer announced that the proposals that the Members of Parliament had demanded for Budget Day would take longer to develop. He said he wanted to wait for the outcome of the nitrogen emissions talks between farmer organizations and the Cabinet, currently moderated by prominent VVD party member Johan Remkes.

On Monday evening, Staghouwer issued a statement to his ministry, in which he emphasized that “farmers and fishermen need certainty.” He said that agriculture is facing a huge shake-up with the nitrogen targets. “I asked myself the question, ‘Am I the right person as Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality to lead the tasks that lie ahead?’ Last weekend, I came to the conclusion that I am not that person,” Staghouwer said.

“I wish my successor, together with the dedicated employees, every success,” added the minister. He did not want to answer questions from reporters following the announcement.

Staghouwer’s resignation was unexpected, even though there had been doubts about his ability to function at the top of the ministry. Earlier that day, the minister announced that a draft agreement had been made with Brussels about the exception that Dutch farmers are granted for manure use compared to other European Union countries. That position is being phased out, but there will be a fee paid out in return.

Rutte: “I respect his brave decision”; Others praise honesty

Prime Minister Mark Rutte said he has “great appreciation for the work Henk Staghouwer has done” as minister. “I respect his brave decision to resign from his duties and wish him every success in the future.”

ChristenUnie leader Gert-Jan Segers said it was a tough day. Staghouwer has “given everything to live up to the tough responsibility” as Minister of Agriculture, he continued. “In his statement about his resignation, he indicates that he is increasingly asking himself whether he is the right person to take on the major challenges facing agriculture as a minister. Henk also characterizes that honesty,” said Segers.

Caroline van der Plas, of the BBB political party which represents many farmers’ interests, said the resignation was inevitable. She herself empathized with Staghouwer, “but as Minister of Agriculture he was completely unsuitable,” she said on Twitter.

D66 leader Jan Paternotte called Staghouwer a “director with a warm heart.” He continued, “He took on the risk of politics, knowing that the task would be difficult. The openness with which he explains his decision is commendable.”

Farmer’s groups surprised; Not optimistic about Schouten

Agricultural organization LTO “respectfully noted” Staghouwer’s decision, but said it is crucial that a new minister of agriculture is appointed quickly.

Foreman Bart Kemp of the farmers’ activist group Agractie Nederland said that Staghouwer’s departure surprised him and his supporters. “We know him as a somewhat bland person and have seen little concrete vision in him. He also faced an impossible task, creating perspectives against market forces and international treaties. And that at a time when more and more people are having great difficulty to pay for the daily shopping.”

Kemp was clear about his opinion of the interim minister, Carola Schouten. “Schouten has never attached any value to a good relationship with the farmers. During her term of office, the crisis of confidence increased sharply.” He said he is counting on the likelihood that she will not remain in the post for long

On Monday morning President Trump commented on the shocking FBI raid on Barron Trump’s room at Mar-a-Lago.

President Trump shared this with his massive crowd of supporters in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on Saturday night

As President Trump says, the FBI and DOJ are truly broken.

President Trump: So they riffled through the living quarters of my 16 year old son, Barron, and the loved and respected former First Lady of the United States, Melania, but, despite proven high crimes and treason, and just plain common theft, all pointed out in the Laptop from Hell (and elsewhere), they never Raided or Broke Into the house of Hunter Biden or, perhaps even more importantly, the house of Joe Biden – A treasure trove! This is a Country that’s unfair and broken. We are truly a Nation in Decline!!!

From Fist-Bump To Fisted: Oil Surges After OPEC+ Agrees On 100Kb/d Production Cut

And there it is: the half life of the infamous fist bump proved to be less than two months, with a delegate telling Reuters that OPEC+ has agreed to a 100kb/d reduction in oil output for October.

The small cut would reverse the 100,000 barrels a day that OPEC+ said it would add to the market last month after President Biden’s trip to Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest oil exporter.

  14. President Biden’s Egregious Misunderstanding of the Second Amendment
A citizenry that is habituated to provide for its own defense is also one that has the character to oppose tyrannical tendencies of their government.
    By John C. Eastman

    September 4, 2022

On August 31, while announcing his new initiative to restrict gun rights, Joe Biden reportedly stated that if “brave right-wing Americans,” as he mockingly dubbed them, wanted to exercise rights under the Second Amendment to “fight against the country” that had become tyrannical, they “would need an F-15.” “You need something more than a gun,” he added, later referring to perhaps “nuclear weapons.”

Such is a common trope from the Left, but it completely misunderstands the Second Amendment.

Here is the understanding of the Second Amendment offered by Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story, whose 1833 Commentaries on the Constitution is widely (and rightly) regarded as among the most authoritative treatises about the Constitution’s original meaning: “The importance of the Second Amendment will scarcely be doubted by anyone,” he wrote, because a well-regulated militia, comprised of the citizenry, “is the natural defense of a free country against sudden foreign invasions, domestic insurrections, and domestic usurpations of power by rulers.” (Emphasis added). “The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a republic,” he continued, “since it offers a strong moral check

California is struggling to keep the lights on during a late summer heatwave and Democrat officials are still moving full steam ahead to ban gas-powered vehicles.

California’s grid operator on Monday declared an energy emergency amid a blistering heatwave.

People are strongly urged to use less energy today between 5pm to 9pm to avoid rotating blackouts.

Californians are being urged to turn off appliances, turn up their thermostats and avoid charging electric vehicles during the peak hours.

  16. Climate Change Transformed India Into An Agricultural Superpower — Just Ask My Grandparents
By Daily Caller News Foundation September 4, 2022

My grandparents survived a nationwide famine in the 1960s that pushed many Indians into abject poverty. Little did they know then that they would go on to become farmers producing some of the best rice and coconuts on the planet.

Starting with purchases of small paddies, my grandparents supplemented income from professional occupations and other businesses with profits from rice and eventually invested in coconut farms. Their story is part of India’s agricultural revolution — a transformation partly made possible by the warmer temperatures and higher concentrations of atmospheric carbon dioxide of today’s climate. (RELATED: BASTASCH: Not Even Diablo Canyon Can Save California From Its Green Energy Nightmare)

According to researchers, poverty and a scarcity of food grains caused the famine of 1960-65, which had been preceded by many similar calamities that killed tens of millions over the centuries.

However, much changed in the 1970s when India’s government invited American agronomist Norman Borlaug to work alongside Indian scientists to introduce genetically modified crop

Biden appears to have a new excuse for high inflation rates after blaming Russian president Vladimir Putin for the past two years.

Joe Biden now says inflation is high and prices skyrocketed this past year because cars are expensive….
And cars were expensive this past year because the US government hadn’t yet nationalized the computer chip industry.

“I signed the CHIPS and Science Act. A groundbreaking law! We’ll once again manufacture semiconductor chips that power every day things…” Biden said in a Labor Day speech in Milwaukee.

  18. Semper Sigh: Biden’s Use of the Marines Violated Long-Standing Federal Policies and Regulations

Below is my column in the New York Post on the controversial speech of President Joe Biden in Philadelphia. The speech has received sharply different reviews from “disgusting” and “hateful” to a historic declaration of war against the enemies of the state. Some like MSNBC regular (and writer for The Nation and Above the Law) Elie Mystal insisted that the speech did not go far enough because all Republicans are white supremacists, not just MAGA Republicans. I thought the speech was divisive and inflammatory. However, it was not the contentbut the optics of the speech that was particularly unsettling. Framing Biden were two Marines standing like nutcracker props in a highly political speech. His use of the Marines (and the Marine band) violated long-standing rules for shielding the services from such political events.

    Here is the column:

President Joe Biden’s speech in Philadelphia has produced sharply different responses from the media. On CNN, it was praised as a rallying cry for patriots. On conservatives sites, it was

  19. It’s Time for Corporate Media to Tell the Truth About America’s Crime Problem

    What’s missing from this report?

The Washington Post tells us that Jorge Orozco-Sandoval, 35, dropped off more than $300,000 to an undercover U.S. agent at a Target parking lot 90 minutes’ drive from the White House. That he was a courier for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. That he had previously done time in a Maryland prison sentence for possession with intent to distribute. And that he’d been deported to Mexico in 2010.

But missing from the article is any information about Orozco-Sandoval’s immigration status. How did a criminal drug dealer, deported back to Mexico over a decade ago, get back into our country? Under the Immigration and Nationality Act, Orozco-Sandoval was clearly ineligible for a U.S. visa.

Of course, we can guess how this recidivist gangster came back in. Most likely he slipped across an area of the border left unattended by Border Patrol officers who have been reassigned by the administration to process asylum applications rather than enforce our immigration laws.

Thanks to President Joe Biden’s wide-open border policies, millions of illegal immigrants each year and thousands of pounds of illegal drugs every month are pouring into our country.

Meanwhile, America’s big cities are being victimized by repeat offenders on an unimaginable scale. In New York City, leftist bail reform and see-no-evil “progressive” prosecutors

  21. FBI Seized Trump’s Medical Records, Accounting Information, Correspondence Related to Taxes From Mar-a-Lago

Judge Aileen Cannon granted President Trump’s request for a Special Master review of the material confiscated by the Biden DOJ during their raid on his home at Mar-a-Lago.

Judge Cannon also ‘temporarily enjoins’ or forbid the Biden regime from ‘reviewing and using the seized materials’ pending the completion of the review.

Materials seized by the FBI in last month’s raid included “medical documents, correspondence related to taxes, and accounting information” according to Judge Cannon.

So the FBI raid had nothing to do with so-called ‘nuclear weapons’ documents.

  24. BOOM! Federal Judge Reveals Incumbent President Joe Biden Ordered FBI Access to Mar-a-Lago Documents

On Monday, August 8, 2022, the Biden FBI-DOJ raided President Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago and rifled through his home and belongings for 9 hours. The FBI even ransacked 16-year-old Barron Trump’s room and First Lady Melania Trump’s closet.

The following day White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre told reporters that the Biden White House learned of the raid in the news.

Jean Pierre insisted that the President was not briefed on the raid.

Earlier today, Judge Aileen Cannon granted President Trump’s request for a Special Master review of the material confiscated by the Biden DOJ during their raid on his home at Mar-a-Lago.

Judge Cannon also ‘temporarily enjoins’ or forbids the Biden regime from ‘reviewing and using the seized materials’ pending the completion of the review.

The Gateway Pundit posted the judge’s decision earlier today.

On pages 2-3 of the ruling Judge Cannon revealed that it was JOE BIDEN who ordered the FBI access to the Mar-a-Lago documents and President Trump’s personal belongings.

Joe Biden lied. The White House lied. And now they are caught.

    Bide denied it all.
