RFERL- Russia To Launch Military Exercises With China, India Amid Heightened Tensions
When Russia last launched its Vostok war games in its Far East in 2018, an estimated 300,000 of its troops exercised with Chinese and Mongolian soldiers as the Kremlin sought to project an image of military superiority and showcase deepening ties with Beijing.
As Moscow now prepares for another round of the drills, only a fraction of that previous total — 50,000 personnel — will take part in a series of exercises as Russia looks to demonstrate that its military capabilities are still intact despite the growing cost and strain from its invasion of Ukraine.
The weeklong war games will kick off on September 1 and involve forces from China, India, Laos, Mongolia, Nicaragua, Algeria, Syria, as well as military personnel from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
The drills will involve various maneuvers by air, land, and sea, with Russia saying that its Pacific Fleet and China’s navy would take part in “joint practical actions to defend maritime communications and areas of maritime economic activity” in the Sea of Japan.
While Russian defense officials have said that the exercises are purely defensive and not directed toward any particular country, they remain draped in symbolism amid Moscow’s ongoing war in Ukraine and simmering geopolitical tensions in Asia.
Experts and defense analysts say they will be closely watched by regional powers such as Japan and South Korea, particularly as Russia and China continue to show their growing political and military ties and a joint attention on the Pacific.
“This is a good opportunity for China to work with Russia with their shared focus on Japan,” Haiyun Ma, a professor at Frostburg State University in Maryland who studies Beijing’s relations with Russia and Central and South Asian countries, told RFE/RL. “With tensions rising over the Taiwan Strait, Japan is really in [Beijing’s] sights these days and they are hoping that Russia can be closer to them in the Pacific.”
The participation of India has also added another layer of intrigue to the war games.
New Delhi has longstanding defense ties to Moscow but also strong relations with Washington. China and India are in the midst of a border dispute in the Himalayas that sparked a deadly clash only two years ago, and the Indians are preparing for military exercises with the United States near the Chinese border in October.
“Russia has become very toxic in the international community, but these exercises allow it to get back to the [message] it was trying to send before the Ukraine war,” Temur Umarov, a fellow at the Moscow Carnegie Center, told RFE/RL. “Russia wants to keep building up its defense ties and show that the war hasn’t left it completely isolated.”
An Eastern Focus
Chinese and Russian forces have been regularly doing drills together in some form since 2005, but those have expanded in recent years to include naval exercises in Asia and the Mediterranean.
In 2018, Beijing and Moscow moved to larger-scale exercises that focused on training top-level commanders to work together, and last year Russian troops deployed to Chinese territory for exercises for the first time.
These close-knit ties culminated in what Chinese leader Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin declared as a “no limits” partnership between their countries in February before Moscow invaded Ukraine.
Since the invasion, China has tread carefully to avoid violating Western sanctions against Russia but has blamed NATO and Western “provocation” for the war in Ukraine, backed Moscow diplomatically at international organizations, and both countries flew nuclear-capable bombers over the Sea of Japan in May as U.S. President Joe Biden attended a summit in Tokyo.
Russia has also backed Beijing amid tensions with Taiwan and Washington over a visit by U.S. House of Representatives speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taipei. In response to Pelosi’s trip, China held live-fire drills near Taiwan and launched five ballistic missiles that landed in Japan’s exclusive economic zone.
Chinese officials stressed earlier this month that Beijing’s participation in the Russian war games was “unrelated to the current international and regional situation,” although Ma says that recent changes in Japanese policy — such as increased defense spending, Japanese sanctions against Moscow, and criticism from Tokyo over China’s actions toward Taiwan — have inflamed tensions.
He notes that in a show of strength last week, two Russian naval convoys passed through the La Perouse Strait that separates Russia and Japan en route to the Vostok exercises.
Both China and Russia have territorial disputes with Japan, with Moscow and Tokyo both claiming the Kuril Islands and Japan administering the uninhabited islets known as the Senkakus, which are also claimed by Beijing and Taipei.
The India Factor
India’s involvement in the drills, especially given the participation of China, has confounded some observers as tensions between Beijing and New Delhi continue to rise and India continues to build up its ties with the West.
On August 29, India accused China of the “militarization of the Taiwan Strait” as the two traded barbs following an earlier dispute over a Chinese military ship docking in a controversial Sri Lankan port.
Nevertheless, analysts say India’s friendly ties with Moscow — which are centered around a deep defense relationship — have led to its participation in the exercises.
“The optics from a Western perspective might not be good, but this serves Indian foreign policy in a big way,” Michael Kugelman, deputy director of the Asia Program at the Wilson Center, told RFE/RL.
India has so far refrained from condemning Russia’s invasion and has continued to purchase cheap Russian oil, ignoring Western efforts to isolate Moscow.
Kugelman says the military exercises fit within India’s foreign policy of “strategic autonomy” where it seeks to balance between competing powers and pursue its own interests.
India also belongs to several multilateral blocs that include both Russia and China — from the BRICS with Brazil and South Africa to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization with Pakistan and Central Asian countries. Kugelman says these diverse partnerships allow New Delhi to build regional clout and avoid being boxed in by other countries; rivalries.
“This serves India well and allows it to showcase its flexibility and ability to balance rival countries,” he said.

Democrats refer to ballot trafficking as a right-wing term. They assert that Republicans conflate the term with ballot collecting. Ballot collection is simply returning ballots for others. Ballot “collection” is allowed in 31 states with some limitations depending on the state. Some states designate that only the voter must return the ballot. Others permit a family member, household member or caregiver to return the ballot. Some states limit the number of ballots an authorized person can return.
So, when does ballot collection turn into the pejorative term known as ballot harvesting? And how does this differ from ballot trafficking?

Biden Puts the ‘Total’ in Totalitarianism
America has come perilously close to the edge of the point of no return.
Joe Biden certainly set the punditocracy abuzz with his neo-totalitarian performance piece at Independence Hall in Philadelphia on Thursday. The significance of that speech can be broken down into three parts, two of which have already received abundant commentary.
The first has to do with the theater of the piece, its optics or stagecraft. As many commentators (myself included) noted, the feel of the event was distinctly, and distinctively, bombastic. The melodramatic red lighting, the presence of armed Marines flanking the president, and Biden’s hectoring, gesticulating delivery made the event seem eerily reminiscent of a speech by Stalin, Mao, or—the closest parallel—that diminutive former house painter who, for a few short years, mesmerized the world with his elaborately staged rallies before pushing ahead with more kinetic activities
To those who object that I am flirting with Godwin’s Law by invoking old AH, I reply that the flirtation was not mine but the doing of Biden’s producers and puppeteers. The visual similarity between Joe Biden’s event and some nighttime events at Nuremberg are just too striking to be coincidental. Leni Riefenstahl, as someone noted, would have been proud. Those who point out that Biden’s speech took place on September 1, a fraught day on the Polish border anno domini 1939, may be too ingenious for this historically illiterate age, but who knows? Often these things are, as our Marxists friends like to say, no accident. There are wheels within wheels.
Which brings me to the question of the intent behind the theatrics. Was this exercise in garish, totalitarian kitsch a “gaffe,” as some are saying—an aesthetic miscalculation for which that blinking inarticulate muppet who is Biden’s press secretary will have to apologize? Apparently not, since she just said that the speech was “not political.”

Greece Blocked Over 150,000 Migrants This Year: Minister
Greece has blocked over 150,000 undocumented migrants on its land and maritime border so far this year, the migration minister said Sunday.
“The entry of 154,102 irregular migrants was averted since the start of the year. Around 50,000 attempted to invade Greece in August alone,” Notis Mitarachi told Eleftheros Typos daily.
Border control is a top priority for the conservative Greek government that came to power in 2019, and will seek re-election next year.

Greece is often the country of choice for people fleeing Africa and the Middle East to try to reach a better life in the European Union.
Thousands come via Turkey by crossing the Evros River, and over the narrow and perilous Aegean Sea crossing separating the traditional rivals.
Charity groups have accused Athens of illegally turning back migrants or forcing them over the border to Turkey — something Greece’s conservative government has repeatedly denied.
Mitarachi on Sunday denied Athens was involved in illegal pushbacks, and accused Turkey of engaging in “violent push forwards”.
Athens last month accused Turkey of forcibly pushing a group of stranded migrants onto a small Greek islet on the river.
Rights groups at the time said a five-year-old child in the group had died after the Greek government for days denied that the migrants were on Greek territory.
Mitarachi has cast doubt on the incident. On Sunday he insisted that the family in question has declared having four children, and that they were all rescued by Greek police.
“To put it very simply, the family brought forward four children, and four we rescued,” he said.
“Many inconsistencies have been noted in what (the family) said at the beginning, what they said afterwards, and in what has been proven so far,” the minister said.

Did you watch Biden’s disgraceful speech on Thursday night? I did. And I know the Biden plan.
Although it’s not Biden’s plan. Biden is a puppet with dementia and diapers. Biden doesn’t know whether Jill is his wife or sister. Biden is a walking cadaver who reads whatever script is put in front of him. Then Jill leads him off stage, so he doesn’t get lost. His handlers take him in back, pet him on the head, hand feed him his baby food, and change his diapers. Then it’s time to “put a lid” on Biden’s day. It’s time for a nappy nap.
So, none of this is Biden. Obama is the real president.
This is his delayed third term- and Obama is back to finish the job he started: the destruction of America, American exceptionalism, the great American middle class, and capitalism.
But Obama isn’t the real order giver either. He’s just an order-taker. Obama carries out the orders he gets from the real psychopath-tyrants who control America: George Soros, Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum, Bill Gates and the Chinese Communist Party. China actually is the big dog. China gives the orders. China runs the show.
And it’s clear what they want. That speech given by Biden was intended to incite civil war in America. Biden and his communist comrades want violence and a badly divided nation. They’re daring us to start a civil war.
You know- exactly like all the BLM and antifa events of 2020.
They want us to do exactly what they already did. Riots, looting, torching, robbing, murdering, attacks on police, $2 billion in damage, thousands of businesses destroyed- but with the media’s protection, it was all forgotten.
They want conservative patriots to do the same- except this time their business partners in the media will make us into “America’s Most Wanted.” They’ll call us “Nazis, fascists, extremists, traitors, domestic terrorists, insurrectionists.” Oh wait, Biden already called us all of that in his speech- before we’ve ever done a thing. Can you imagine what they’d say if we actually committed violence?
That’s the trap.
What’s their plan? Have you seen the polls? Biden and his Democrat Congress are headed for terrible losses. Maybe even historical losses. They are despised by the working class and middle class of America. Even abortion didn’t change the narrative. And no, Democrats aren’t going to hold the Senate. Marco Rubio, JD Vance, Dr Oz, Hershel Walker, Adam Laxalt are within the margin of error, and will almost certainly pull it out by election day.
Biden and his comrades desperately want to hold onto power. Their goal is threefold…
1. Incite full-scale revolution or civil war, so they can declare martial law and suspend the midterms. Voila- they stay in power.
2. Failing that, they want enough violence to instill fear and force most voters to stay home and vote via mail-in ballots. With no Voter ID or signature match, the Democrats can successfully rig the election and stay in power.
3. Or at the very least, they hope any violent act by conservative patriots will turn the voters against the GOP. They want you distracted, to forget the terrible damage Biden has inflicted on the US economy, and forget the issues that matter- inflation, sky high gas and energy prices, sky high grocery prices, the death of the middle class.
Democrats are going to lose badly if voters keep their eye on the ball. But if they are distracted; if they’re turned against the “violent” Trump “America First” agenda; if they suddenly sympathize with “poor Joe Biden” and Democrats as “victims” of violence; if they fear civil war and insurrection by Republicans; suddenly everything changes.
Lastly, if the Democrats can incite civil war, they have the perfect excuse to send the military door to door to confiscate our weapons and arrest conservative leaders who they’ll claim “incited violence and insurrection.”
Without the fear of an armed citizenry, we’re just another Australia. After that, they’ll mask us, force vaccinate us, and lock us down forever. Until every small business is out of business. Until we are all living in poverty and misery. Until they have total control over our lives.
Then the communist attack has succeeded. America is finished. The American Dream is dead. America is owned by China. We are all serfs and slaves.
That’s the Democrat plan. Or more accurately, that’s China’s plan.
Yes, it’s clear Biden and his handlers want civil war. Let’s not take the bait. Let’s not fall for the trap. They want civil war, but let’s give them civil disobedience. Then let’s destroy them on election day.

Erdogan Issues Threat Of Military Action Against Greece

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has issued a thinly veiled threat of military action against fellow NATO member Greece in Saturday comments. Erdogan reiterated the Turkish government accusation that Greece is militarizing islands near Turkey’s post in contravention of a historic treaty and international agreements.
“You occupying the islands doesn’t bind us,” Erdogan said. “When the time comes, we’ll do what’s necessary. As we say, we may come down suddenly one night.” He added: “Look at history, if you go further, the price will be heavy.”
We have one sentence to Greece: Don’t forget Izmir,” Erdogan said in reference to the 1922 battle which saw Greek forces expelled from the western city. He also more broadly referenced 1919-1922 Greco-Turkish war while provocatively stressing that Greece is “occupying” islands off Turkey.
The fiery words were spoken on the occasion of Turkey’s military unveiling a new prototype of an unmanned fighter jet in the city of Samsun, and further days after Ankara has lodged a formal complaint with NATO headquarters, saying that Greece last month achieved radar lock on its F-16s which had been flying over the Mediterranean.
Turkey’s Hurriyet Daily announced last week that the defense ministry “will send the radar traces and pictures of the Greek harassment of the Turkish jets by the S-300 air defense systems to NATO as well as to all 30 allied countries, according to sources.”
Turkey has also charged that Greek jets have violated its airspace over 250 times in harassing maneuvers. “The ministry also informed that the Greek warplanes violated the Turkish airspace 256 times since the beginning of 2022,” the Hurriyet report said. “In addition, they harassed the Turkish jets 158 times this year, the ministry said. On the sea, the Greek coastal guards violated the Turkish territorial waters 33 times, it added.”
Greece’s foreign ministry has responded by denouncing the “outrageous daily slide” of threats and hostile rhetoric coming out of Ankara. “We will inform our allies and partners on the content of the provocative statements… to make it clear who is setting dynamite to the cohesion of our alliance during a dangerous period,” the foreign ministry statement said.

White House senior adviser Keisha Lance Bottoms asserted on Sunday that the “hate-filled MAGA agenda” has “no place in a democracy.”
Bottoms made the remarks during an appearance on ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday.
The White House has been continuously doubling down since Joe Biden’s ominous “Battle for the Soul of the Nation” speech on Thursday, when he declared the 74 million people who voted for his opponents as extremists. OTTAWA, Sept 4 (Reuters) – Canadian police on Sunday said they were on the hunt for two suspects believed to have killed 10 people and injured at least 15 others in stabbings in the Saskatchewan province.
Police named Damien Sanderson and Myles Sanderson as the two suspects and said they were traveling in a black, Nissan Rogue.
The attacks happened at multiple locations, including James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon in Saskatchewan, and there were 13 crime scenes that police were investigating, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Saskatchewan said.
Police said that some of the victims appeared to have been targeted by the suspects while others were attacked randomly.
There may be additional injured victims who transported themselves to various hospitals, police told reporters at a news conference.

Sask RCMP say 10 dead, 15 injured in Saskatchewan stabbings as suspects remain at large
Melfort RCMP have issued a Saskatchewan-wide alert concerning two dangerous suspects after reports of several stabbings on James Smith Cree Nation.
The commanding officer of the Saskatchewan RCMP is expected to provide an update to reporters at 3:15 p.m. CST. The news conference will be live-streamed by Global News as well as the Saskatchewan RCMP Facebook pages.
It has been confirmed there have been multiple victims in multiple locations including in both James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon.
In an update at 11:45 a.m., Sask. RCMP said they received report the suspects may be traveling in the Arcola Ave area in Regina in a black, Nissan Rogue with SK License plate 119 MPI.
RCMP is trying to locate the two male suspects, Damien Sanderson and Myles Sanderson.
Damien Sanderson is 5’7” and 155 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Myles Sanderson is 6’1” and 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
“As the suspects are at large, we have also asked for the alert to be extended to Manitoba and Alberta,” RCMP said in a news release Sunday afternoon.
Early indications may be that victims were attacked randomly, police said.
People in the area to advised to take precautions and consider sheltering in place.
“Do not leave a secure location and do not approach suspicious persons. Do not pick up hitchhikers. Report suspicious persons, emergencies or information to 9-1-1. Do not disclose police locations.”

Embalmers are finding long, rubbery clots inside of corpses since the implementation of Covid vaccines.
According to one Alabama embalmer who has been treating corpses for over 20 year, the strange fibrous clots emerged in May of 2021, shortly after the Covid vaccines first became available to the public.
In 20 years of embalming, I had never seen these white fibrous structures in the blood, nor have others in my field. In the past year, I have seen these strange clots in many different individuals, and it doesn’t seem to matter what they die of, they often have similar substances in their blood. This makes me very concerned because if something is wrong in the blood, it begs the question: is something causing people to die prematurely?” Hirschman told the Epoch Times.
Hirschmann said he has noticed that the blood in people’s bodies has changed in the last two years.
Mr. Hirschmann said he cannot confirm that the blood clots are caused by the Covid vaccines, but it is his hope that the clots are investigated.

Several embalmers across the country have been observing many large, and sometimes very long, “fibrous” and rubbery clots inside the corpses they treat, and are speaking out about their findings.
Numerous embalmers from different states confirmed to The Epoch Times that they have been seeing these strange clots, starting from either 2020 or 2021.
It’s not yet known if the cause of the new clot phenomenon is COVID-19, vaccines, both, or something different.
The Epoch Times received videos and photos of the anomalous clots, but could not upload them due to the level of gore.
Mike Adams, who runs an ISO-17025 accredited lab in Texas, analyzed clots in August and found them to be lacking iron, potassium, magnesium, and zinc.
Adams’s lab uses inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), triple quadrupole mass spectrometer, and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, usually testing food for metals, pesticides, and glyphosate.
We have tested one of the clots from embalmer Richard Hirschman, via ICP-MS. Also tested side by side, live human blood from an unvaccinated person,” Adams told The Epoch Times.
He found that the clots are lacking key elements present in healthy human blood, such as iron, potassium, and magnesium, suggesting that they are formed from something other than blood.
Adams is joining analytic forces with more doctors and plan to invest out of their own pocket in equipment in order to further determine their composition and probable causation.
