Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    “20-Year-Old Junior Hockey Captain Dies Suddenly During Tournament in Ontario, Canada”

    Ayr Centennials of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) announced on Wednesday that Eli Palfreyman, who had just been named captain, had passed away during a pre-season event on Tuesday night. He was 20.

    According to Hockey News, no cause of death was announced.

    Reports said Palfreyman collapsed in the dressing room during the first intermission.

    The police were called promptly to the site due to a medical emergency; but, despite their best efforts, they were unable to revive him.

    • Hockey is insanely cardio intensive. What other sport has on average 30-second to 3-minute shifts? Adrenaline seems to be related to many of these incidents, with the fatal episode occurring at rest between or after exertion.

    It turns out Chrystia Freeland may have been in Alberta to save the caribou. This would be noble but for, perhaps, the real reason for her visit which was to further paralyze Canada’s energy industry with more red tape. Funny how msm reports not on this, but on the guy in the wife-beater t-shirt. Bit by bit we will freeze if they keep going.

      In Ottawa, questions are being raised about whether cabinet ministers and members of Parliament need tighter security measures after the verbal attack of Chrystia Freeland.

    • The FBI arrested Attorney Kellye Sorelle on Thursday morning after she secretly told attorneys for Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes that she would testify in defense of Stewart.

      Tarrio was discussing security with Bianca Gracia whose group was holding a rally on January 6th near the US Capitol. The rally was cancelled after the violence started breaking out at the US Capitol

      The Biden Justice Department charged Enrique Tarrio in June with “seditious conspiracy” for his role in the January 6 protests and riots — a completely made-up charge with no basis in fact. This was done days before the first hearing in order to give more gravitas to the regime’s show trial. They do this sort of thing in banana republics and third-world hell-holes.

      The DOJ is using this Tarrio meeting with Stewart Rhodes as evidence of a “seditious conspiracy.”

      Speaking to reporters and the Canadian public on Thursday afternoon in Ottawa, Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos said that 780,000 doses of the newly-approved bivalent COVID-19 vaccine from Moderna would be delivered to Canada on Friday, witha total of 10.5 million doses expected by the end of September.

      Duclos also said that “where possible,” people aged 18 and older should look into getting the bivalent vaccine as a booster dose going forward, but stressed existing vaccines were still effective.

      Moderna’s vaccine is the first to get approval in the Canadian market that specifically targets the Omicron variant.

      Canada has already purchased 12 million doses of Moderna’s updated shot for 2022 and 2023. The two have agreed to convert six million doses of the company’s COVID-19 vaccine, which targets the original virus, to an Omicron-containing bivalent vaccine.

      Canada will also purchase an additional 4.5 million doses of the Omicron-containing vaccine, and is moving forward with the scheduled delivery of 1.5 million doses of the bivalent shot from 2022 to 2023.

    • Health Canada approves Moderna’s Omicron booster

      Health Canada has given the green light to Moderna’s bivalent COVID-19 vaccine, making it the first vaccine specifically targeting the Omicron variant to get approval for the Canadian market.

      According to the drug authorization listing, the bivalent booster will be a half-dose of the amount delivered in the primary doses of the vaccine, keeping it in line with the dose delivered in boosters so far.

      The Omicron booster is authorized only for Canadians over the age of 18 at this time.

      Health Canada’s chief medical advisor Dr. Supriya Sharma said Thursday that the vaccine has been proven, in clinical studies, to have “strong” immune response to the original coronavirus that causes COVID-19 and B.A.1 – the original Omicron subvariant.

      The vaccine does not specifically target the B.A.4 and B.A.5 subvariants that are now the dominant strains, but Sharma says clinical data shows a “good” response to those variants as well.

    Missouri and Louisiana Attorneys General Ask Court to Compel Department of Justice to Produce Communications Between Top Officials and Social Media Companies

    JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Yesterday, Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry filed a Joint Statement on Discovery Disputes, asking the Louisiana District Court to compel the Department of Justice to turn over communications between high-ranking Biden Administration officials from the White House, Department of State, FBI and others and major social media companies.

    The Department of Justice has already turned over communications between a number of federal officials and social media companies but has refused to provide communications between top-ranking officials and social media companies.

    “Missouri and Louisiana filed a landmark lawsuit back in May that seeks to expose how top Biden Administration officials allegedly colluded with social media companies to censor freedom of speech on a number of topics, including COVID-19. We won in court in July, and the Court required the Biden Administration to turn over communications between federal officials and social media companies,” said Attorney General Schmitt. “We have already received a number of documents that clearly prove that the federal government has an incestuous relationship with social media companies and clearly coordinate to censor freedom of speech , but we’re not done. The Department of Justice is cowering behind executive privilege and has refused to turn over communications between the highest-ranking Biden Administration officials and social media companies. That’s why, yesterday, we asked the Court to compel the Department of Justice to produce those records. We’re just getting started – stay tuned.”

    The communications already provided by the Department of Justice to the plaintiff states show, as the joint statement points out, a vast “Censorship Enterprise” across a multitude of federal agencies . In response to Missouri and Louisiana’s interrogatories, defendants identified 45 federal officials at DHS, CISA, the CDC, NIAID, and the Office of the Surgeon General (all of which are contained in either DHS or HHS) that communicate with social media platforms about “misinformation” and censorship. The joint statement points out, “But in those responses, Defendants did not provide information about any federal officials at other federal agencies of whom they are aware who engage in such communications with social-media platforms about misinformation and censorship, though Plaintiffs had specifically asked for this highly relevant information. Defendants’ document production, however, reveals that such officials at other federal agencies exist—for example, their emails include extensive copying of officials at the Census Bureau, and they also include communications involving the Departments of Treasury and State.”

    Beyond the Department of Justice’s production, “Meta, for example, has disclosed that at least 32 federal officials—including senior officials at the FDA, the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, and the White House—have communicated with Meta about content moderation on its platforms, many of whom were not disclosed in response to Plaintiffs’ interrogatories to Defendants. YouTube disclosed eleven federal officials engaged in such communications, including officials at the Census Bureau and the White House, many of whom were also not disclosed by Defendants.”

    The joint statement continues, “The discovery provided so far demonstrates that this Censorship Enterprise is extremely broad, including officials in the White House, HHS, DHS, CISA, the CDC, NIAID, and the Office of the Surgeon General; and evidently other agencies as well, such as the Census Bureau, the FDA, the FBI, the State Department, the Treasury Department, and the U.S. Election Assistance Commission. And it rises to the highest levels of the U.S. Government, including numerous White House officials. Defendants have objected to producing some of the most relevant and probative information in their possession.”

    This “Censorship Enterprise” is proven by the Department of Justice’s productions thus far, but the full extent of federal officials’ collusion with social media companies on censorship is unknown until the Department of Justice produces further communications requested by Missouri and Louisiana.

    According to KSLTV, the county sheriff’s office interviewed up to five young girls who claimed to be victims of Smith.

    Smith is facing four 1st-degree felony counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, four class-A misdemeanor counts of lewdness involving a child, and two class-B misdemeanor counts of lewdness.

    At least seventy-four runners were taken to various hospitals in Durban, South Africa after experiencing medical emergencies at the 2022 Comrades Marathon, according to the race director.

    Comrades Marathon is the world’s largest and oldest ultramarathon race.

    In 1942, as part of its outer perimeter strategy, Imperial Japan began building an airbase on Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands.

    The purpose of the Guadalcanal airbase was to protect the Japanese naval base in Rabaul, secure Japanese military operations in the Coral Sea and threaten the sea lanes between the United States and Australia using long-range bombers.

    The buses arrived at Chicago’s Union Station at around 7:30 p.m., carrying migrants who crossed the southern border illegally.

    An estimated 80 to 100 people were on the buses, including 20 to 30 small children. Many of the migrants said they were from Venezuela.

    Chicago is the latest city where migrants have been bused to from Texas, following New York City and Washington, D.C., all of which have Democrat mayors.

    The FBI created a fake crime scene at Mar-a-Lago by adding their documents to the scene and doctoring the photo of the scene. This is against the law.

    The DOJ responded in a lawsuit by President Trump asking a judge to review the FBI raid of his iconic property Mar-a-Lago. In the DOJ’s response, the DOJ included a document they claim was taken at Mar-a-Lago.

    The photo was all over the news on Wednesday, August 31, the day after it was provided to the court. The Independent made fun of the Time Magazine cover on the right side of the photo that the DOJ apparently wanted to include in the photo so that they could show that President Trump is so vain. There was no need for this Time Magazine piece in the picture.

    The Daily Mail said “Trump KEPT framed Time cover of ‘enemies’ knocking at his window among the collection of classified files – including documents marked ‘Top Secret’ and those based on ‘human intelligence’ – sprawled across Mar-a-Lago”.

    The New York Police Department (NYPD) treats all instances of concealed carry as an illegal act until it can be proven otherwise, according to newly leaked documents obtained by Project Veritas.

    New York is playing against a Supreme Court Ruling.
    The Supreme Court of the United States overturned a New York gun safety law in New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen on June 23. New York’s concealed carry license law was struck down by the court as unconstitutional, LWV reported.

    “The Supreme Court held oral arguments for Bruen in November 2021, with plaintiffs challenging the 100-year-old New York state handgun licensing law requiring individuals to show proper cause before they can be licensed to carry a concealed weapon in public. Plaintiffs argued that the law violates the Second Amendment. Defending the handgun licensing law, New York argued that the right to carry a weapon for self-defense outside the home is not absolute,” the news outlet added.

    WASHINGTON — The death of Ravil Maganov, chairman of the Russian oil giant Lukoil, at a hospital in Moscow on Thursday appears to mark the eighth time this year that a Russian energy executive has died suddenly and under unusual circumstances.

    Maganov died after falling out of the window of the capital’s Central Clinical Hospital, according to the Russian state-sponsored news outlet Interfax. The circumstances of Maganov’s death were confirmed by Reuters, citing two anonymous sources.
