Reader’s Links for August 5, 2022

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. “JOHNNY U GET IN HERE!”
Young U was very afraid. Boss Johnson shouted all the time, but he had yet to be on the receiving end of his wrath. And he’d only been with the Gazette three months, and he needed the job, and he had nowhere else to go, and…. He gulped hard, then headed up front to Mr. Johnson’s office.
    “Yes Sir.”
“How old are you, U?” Mr. Johnson growled. Mr. Johnson was about sixty years old and greying. Aging works for some men, at least for a while. The deep creases around his mouth and carved into his brow indicated seasoned experience more than the physical toll from years as owner of Middleville’s main newspaper.
    “I’m twenty-two, sir.”
“Twenty-two? Twenty-two and you can’t string together three and a half sentences without taking a breath? Look at this ugly block you wrote.” Mr. Johnson held up the copy and shook it like a rag doll.
“This story you did on the Green’s hardware store is garbage! You should be fired. Run-on sentences, spelling mistakes, incoherent–haven’t you memorized Strunk & White by now?”
    “Yes, sir, but–”
“–But nothing! What the hell do they teach you kids these days besides gender equality? And remind me when I’m done with you to fire the editor.”
“You fired Ms. Cohen last month, sir. Don’t you remember?
“Don’t ask me what I remember you little greaseball. I remember more than you’ll forget in ten lifetimes. What about the proof reader? Wait till I get my hands on her.”
“Mrs. Brown quit last week, sir, I’m sure you recall. She went to work at Green’s Hardware for the better pay.”
“Now, you listen to me.” Mr. Johnson took a deep breath as he leaned back in his chair. “Circulation isn’t what it used to be so I have to control costs. But this is none of your damned business.” He leaned forward again. “When you write for me you remember this: words are like cats–they’ll run everywhere if you let ’em. YOU WRITE THE WORDS THEY DON’T WRITE YOU. Sentences are their little gangs. Same thing. You’re the boss. Got it?
    “Yes sir.”
“What kind of stupid last name is ‘U’, anyway?”
“It’s short for Universe. My father was from Eritrea, my mother from New Jersey.”
“Great. Like the world needs another mongrel. I hear it takes a village to raise one of you.”
    “What, a child?”
“No, dummy, an Eritrean. Get out of here.”
“Yes, sir. I will try to do better.”
Johnny U stood and left Mr. Johnson’s office, closing the frosted glass door behind him. Mr. Johnson continued ranting about the Gazette’s staff. His bark was much worse than his bite. Beneath the bluster was a nice man, actually, Johnny thought as he walked back to his desk at the back of the room. Mr. Johnson’s bluster continued for a few minutes then trailed off.
“…Richard get in here. You’re all thumbs! Vlad I’ve had enough of your stream-of-consciousness stuff. PC where the hell are you? Mary dock PC! Why does everyone like him except me? ET where’s that wine review you owe me? Where’s Yucki? Yucki get in here right now. You’re the new editor. Why can’t you all be more like Martin and EB? Straight news from those two–none of this trivial commentary. Wrath of Khan, now there was a reporter, God bless him…”
Johnny U could no longer hear Mr. Johnson’s voice. He was lost in thought. Some day he would write a novel. A great novel.

    Happy Friday, Sassy. Thank you.

    • Thank you Johnny, I always appreciate what you write, even though I don’t got no couth.

    • Johnnyu: I read your entire post with a huge smile. I knew I was in your thoughts. And quite the enjoyable narration, it is. And I’m still smiling. You’re a great guy! Cheers!

  2. The Dollar Milkshake theory is a nuanced idea about the USD and global markets that has received much attention lately. It says the world’s major currencies, including the USD, are all crippled by excessive debt to varying degrees. The fiats in this “milkshake”, however, are not all equal. When sovereign nations print their fiat they print for themselves, but when the U.S. prints it prints for the world. It is for this reason the USD will remain far more durable than many people currently think, and because of the much larger pool into which the dollar is distributed, the dilution of it is relatively much less. It also explains the sovereign debt crisis playing out in numerous countries. As I say, it is a seminal idea grabbing traction in today’s financial analytical circles. about 1 hr.

Qww qtUkraine’s President Zelensky is spooked and having a tough time hiding it. In remarks made on August 3rd, Zelensky is complaining that Europe is dragging its feet in supplying financial support to keep Ukraine afloat:

Zelensky then made a startling admission about who is winning the war in Ukraine:

“We still cannot break the advantage of the Russian army in artillery and in manpower, and this is very felt in the battles, especially in the Donbass – Peski, Avdiivka, and other directions. It’s just hell. It can’t even be described in words.”

    • The UAF is forcing residents east of the Dnieper River out of their homes as the Donbass front collapses in the east. Those who chose to evacuate did so long before now. Those who remain are fighting population transfer. Neither pro-Ukrainian nor pro-Russian, they just want to stay on land that’s their own.

The fortifications along the Donetsk front are perhaps the best in the world. Years in the making, situated in villages and forests, they’ve been impossible to crack. There are many videos online of this 21st century trench system. From here the UAF forces have been raining destruction on civilians in the populous cities in and around Donetsk.

Maybe we could've donated some old Patriot missile defense batteries…

Now they’re are out of ammo, their hidey-holes pounded to dust by incessant volleys of artillery from old Soviet stockpiles. Human meat – a Russian turn of phrase – bodies to plug holes in the line. There are many reports of desertions, though UAF has stationed anti-retreat forces to the rear. Killers, many of them foreigners. Dead men walking.

UAF have moved most of their mechanized brigades south, to the Kherson front. If they achieve their much hyped counteroffensive, they’ll have something to show their Western sponsors before winter closes in.

      Or they'll just fake it.

That leaves Kharkiv vulnerable. It’s the second largest city of Ukraine, located in the east on the Russian border. From the time of Peter the Great, Kharkiv was the capital of the governorate. Under the Soviets it was the third most important city for science and industry after Moscow and Leningrad.

Kiev is distinct, part of the historical Lithuanian-Polish Empire that will never reconcile with the Bear. But that doesn’t interest Russia anyway. The vast majority of Ukraine’s resources and industrial capabilities are on the other side of the Dnieper, territory along the Russian border.

    • AUG 05 2022 -Exclusive: U.S. readies new $1 billion Ukraine weapons package

WASHINGTON, Aug 5 (Reuters) – The Biden administration’s next security assistance package for Ukraine is expected to be $1 billion, one of the largest so far, and include munitions for long-range weapons and armored medical transport vehicles, three sources briefed on the matter told Reuters on Friday.

The package is expected to be announced as early as Monday and would add to about $8.8 billion in aid the United States has given Ukraine since Russia’s invasion on Feb. 24.

The officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said that President Joe Biden had not yet signed the next weapons package. They cautioned that weapons packages can change in value and content before they are signed.

However, if signed in its current form, it would be valued at $1 billion and include munitions for HIMARS, NASAMS surface-to-air missile system ammunition and as many as 50 M113 armored medical transports.

The new package follows a recent Pentagon decision to allow Ukrainians to receive medical treatment at a U.S. military hospital in Germany near Ramstein air base.

Last Monday, the Pentagon announced a separate security assistance package for Ukraine valued at up to $550 million, including additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS).

The White House declined to comment on the package.

The new package would be funded under the Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA), in which the president can authorize the transfer of articles and services from U.S. stocks without congressional approval in response to an emergency.

HIMARS play a key role in the artillery duel between Ukraine and Russia has been described as “grinding” with very little movement of the front line in Ukraine’s eastern Donbas region.

Since Russian troops poured over the border in February in what Putin termed a “special military operation”, the conflict has settled into a war of attrition fought primarily in the east and south of Ukraine.

Moscow is trying to gain control of the largely Russian-speaking Donbas, comprised of Luhansk and Donetsk provinces, where pro-Moscow separatists seized territory after the Kremlin annexed Crimea to the south in 2014.

So far the United States has sent 16 HIMARS to Ukraine and on July 1 pledged to send two National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS). read more

It was unclear if the NASAMS launchers, made jointly by Raytheon Technologies Corp (RTX.N) and Norway’s Kongsberg (KOG.OL), are already in Ukraine if the munitions were for launchers donated by another country, or if they were being prepositioned.

The United States previously committed 200 M113 armored personnel carriers to Ukraine.

The armored personnel carriers outfitted with medical equipment could make the fight with Russia more survivable for Ukrainian troops who could then be sent to Germany for further medical treatment.

The Kiev government said in June that 100 to 200 Ukrainian troops were being killed per day.

State Legislatures are full of political hacks. We don’t trust them. Unfortunately, at times we trust courts – state or federal – even less.

Take, for instance, the 2020 presidential election.

the lead-up to the 2020 primaries and general election, Democrat state officials in every battleground state and many others, implemented illegal unilateral decisions that radically enabled illegal voting contrary to established law. These baldly partisan decisions were challenged in courts across the nation, with courts either dismissing the acts as unimportant, refusing to take action, or else upholding the propriety of the acts.

    And, of course, we

  8. SEPTEMBER 2020 – INDIA TODAY –

Exclusive: Anthony Klan shares details on China’s Wuhan lab operating ‘covert operations’ in Pakistan

Pakistan and China have entered a secret three-year deal to expand potential bio-warfare capabilities, including running several research projects related to the deadly agent anthrax, a report by The Klaxon said, quoting multiple intelligence sources. Speaking to India Today from Sydney, the Editor-in-Chief of The Klaxon, Anthony Klan, said that the experiments were a serious ‘concern’ and exposed the nexus between China and the Pakistani military.

Pakistan and China have entered a secret three-year deal to expand potential bio-warfare capabilities, including running several research projects related to the deadly agent anthrax, a report by The Klaxon said, quoting multiple intelligence sources.

    CHINA-PAK MILITARY NEXUS

Speaking to India Today from Sydney, the Editor-in-Chief of The Klaxon, Anthony Klan, said that the experiments were a serious “concern” and exposed the nexus between China and the Pakistani military.

“There have been experiments carried out since 2015 with five different high level pathogens. The studies are being conducted in Pakistan. A lot of the Wuhan Institute of Virology scientists are working on Pakistan soil with Pakistan’s defence agencies which raises very serious concerns among the intelligence agencies,” said Anthony.

According to the report, China’s now infamous Wuhan Institute of Virology has signed the covert deal with Pakistan military’s Defence Science and Technology Organization (DESTO), to collaborate research in “emerging infectious diseases” and advance studies on the biological control of transmitted diseases.

    ON PAK SOIL

Despite fierce denial from Pakistan and China, there is enough proof according to the report that a lot of the research can be tied to Pakistan.

Proving that the research is being carried out on Pakistani soil, Anthony said, “It is interesting to know that within these five studies, Wuhan is mentioned, Chinese funding is mentioned and studies on Pakistani soil are mentioned, for e.g. blood serum from thousands of camels and other animals and also thousands of humans. It does not mention specifically where the lab work is done, but mentions several areas.”

“After we first reported this, the Pakistani government came out and said there is no secret about biosafety levels 3 labs which obviously confirmed that it was happening on Pakistani soil,” he added.

    PAKISTANI GUINEA PIGS

The findings of the report also suggest that the entire project is being done between the Chinese government and the Pakistani military which allows them to keep the locations a secret and the operations “covert”.

In fact, the report says that Pakistanis have been used for testing and have participated in the experiments. When asked how the news never got out and did the individuals who participated in such research in secret labs didn’t know, Anthony said, “I suspect not. I suspect that most of these studies have a rural sample size. Lot of them are herdsmen from remote areas. How much would they know of what they are involved in? These people wouldn’t know what the samples were for and what happens with the results of the studies that they have been privy to or have been involved in. It is a real scare. There are a lot of question marks.”

On the sample size used, he said, “Around two thousand to two and a half thousand samples in each of the studies. Some of them were about five hundreds. Overall, there were about seven-eight thousand people and about 4,000-5,000 animals, predominantly camels or usually those that are domesticated or reared for consumption.”

    FUNDED BY CHINA

All the research projects are being funded by China under the auspices of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) which falls within China’s Belt and Road Initiative, according to the report.

He said, “It is being done under the auspices of the economic corridor under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the US $63 billion fund… It is difficult to get an exact breakdown but the money for each of these studies, when we track, is tied to the BRI initiative in Pakistan. Almost all of it is funded by China so the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Institute of Virology. A lot of it is a part of the flagship BRI project.”

    BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS

The biggest worry for the international community is the fact that this research with dangerous pathogens dates back to before the Covid-19 outbreak and the fact that Pakistan does not have the facilities for such viruses. Also, that this is a breeding ground for “biological weapons”.

“You can use technology to wipe coronavirus etc., but it can also be weaponised very easily as has been the concern of many intelligence sources. This is happening on Pakistani soil, fully funded by China,” said Anthony Klan.

He added, “It is happening in laboratories that are not necessarily equipped to handle some of the viruses. We know that some of the pathogens are too dangerous for the facilities that Pakistan operates. BL3 (biosafety levels 3 labs) and BL4 are known to be the most secure. There is no known BL4 facility in Pakistan.”

Intelligence sources, including from the Indian subcontinent, have told The Klaxon they have serious concerns about the secret project, which involves China testing biological agents outside its borders in an apparent bid to minimize the “risk of drawing condemnation from the international community”.

“DESTO has been engaged in various dual-use research projects related to anthrax under a covert biological weapons program,” one senior intelligence source said.

According to another report by The Klaxon, the results of five studies conducted by Wuhan and Pakistani scientists have been published in scientific papers, each involving the “detection and characterisation” of “zoonotic pathogens”.

The studies involve experiments and genome sequencing of the West Nile Virus; MERS-Coronavirus; Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever Virus; the Thrombocytopenia Syndrome Virus; and the Chikungunya Virus.

There is no vaccine or cure for any of those pathogens, which are among some of the world’s deadliest and most contagious.

As revealed by The Klaxon, highly credible intelligence sources believe China, via its Wuhan Institute of Virology, is testing lethal biological agents in Pakistan and providing “extensive training on manipulation of pathogens and bio-informatics” to Pakistani scientists, which could “enrich a potential offensive biological programme”.

It was revealed China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology had allegedly recently signed a secret three-year deal with Pakistan military’s DESTO to collaborate research in “emerging infectious diseases” and the “biological control of transmitted diseases”.

That Wuhan-Pakistan military tie-up had never been publicly announced or disclosed before, said the report.

Key concerns are that Pakistan could use the technology in bio-warfare, or that deadly pathogens could accidentally escape from inadequately equipped facilities.

Raising concerns regarding biological weaponisation and biological terrorism he said, “There are concerns and the most important threat is what if these viruses escape the laboratories accidentally, how much would the impact be. Secondly, is the weaponisation and potential future weaponisation of this technology. With the instability in Pakistan, the concern is real. China and Pakistan deny it, but the real danger is biological weaponisation and biological terrorism.”

  9. Dem Desperation, Dem Voter Fraud, Dem Depression
Dem Desperation, Dem Voter Fraud, Dem Depression

Democrats in the White House look desperate with the actions they are taking because they do not make sense in a normal sane world. The Biden/Obama Administration is declaring Monkeypox a huge heath problem when, in fact, it is only affecting a very small percent of the U.S. population. It’s less than 7,000 people who are infected. I guess the Biden Administration wants to release more funding for the next so-called pandemic, but the public is not buying it this time around.

The primaries have happened in many parts of the country, and we are still seeing voter fraud on a grand scale. The Democrats have a terrible President with a terrible message and a sinking economy. It all adds up to massive cheating because the Dems can’t find enough stupid people to vote for their own demise. Without massive cheating, the Dems will be out of power come November. Can they pull off the biggest cheat ever? That is what it is going to take.

The Fed just raised interest rates another .75% and so did other countries such as the UK. It raised interest rates and is projecting a severe recession. It is also predicting 13% inflation by the end of this year. The Fed is signaling it, too, will be raising rates more in the upcoming months to fight inflation even if it tanks the economy further. The Dems already own the coming downturn, and many experts say this may turn into a Dem Depression.

  10. Anger From Ukraine’s Backers After Damning Amnesty Report Spotlights ‘Human Shields’

    BY TYLER DURDEN
    FRIDAY, AUG 05, 2022 – 04:45 AM
Amnesty International has in a surprise shift placed its human rights scrutiny on Ukraine in a fresh report released Thursday. It immediately sparked a firestorm of criticism as both Western pundits and Kiev officials themselves blasted the findings as “unfair”.

The Amnesty report said investigators had “found evidence of Ukrainian forces launching strikes from within populated residential areas, as well as basing themselves in civilian buildings in 19 towns and villages” in three war-torn regions of the country from April through July.

The report detailed that schools and hospitals, as well as people’s homes, were put in harm’s way, suggesting ‘human shields’ type tactics utilized by the Ukrainian military.

“Such tactics violate international humanitarian law and endanger civilians, as they turn civilian objects into military targets. The ensuing Russian strikes in populated areas have killed civilians and destroyed civilian infrastructure,” Amnesty continued, saying this resulted in Russian attacks on said civilian infrastructure.

The report detailed further that in 22 of 29 schools visited by an Amnesty team between April and July, investigators found evidence of prior military activity. Additionally, five instances of Ukrainian troops using hospitals as bases were documented. The report went so far as to stress Amnesty was “not aware” of instances where Ukrainian troops first tried to evacuate civilians from these locations.

Despite being under pressure to refrain from investigating the Ukrainian side and to not criticize it for human rights abuses, Secretary General of Amnesty International Agnès Callamard said in releasing the report:

  11. paul j watson -Quadruple Vaxxed German Health Minister Tests Positive For COVID

Now we wait for him to thank the vaccine.

German Health Minister Karl Lauterbach, who is quadruple vaxxed and a strong proponent of face masks, has tested positive for COVID-19.

The German Health Ministry said in a statement that Lauterbach is displaying mild symptoms and is currently working from self-isolation at home.

“Lauterbach, 59 and a Social Democrat member, has received four doses of the COVID vaccine,” reports Deutsche Welle.

100 per cent safe and effective!

The ministry responded by asserting that Lauterbach being infected “shows that with the highly contagious omicron variant, infection cannot be completely ruled out, even with extreme caution.”

Or in other words, the vaccine is completely useless at stopping the spread of the virus, which has now weakened to become less troublesome than the common cold, but get your booster anyway because Pfizer has profit margins to reach.

Now we await the obligatory statement from Lauterbach reacting to his COVID diagnosis by thanking the efficacy of the vaccine.

As we previously highlighted, despite winter being months away, Germany has already announced it will re-introduce COVID restrictions anyway.

Negative COVID tests will be required to enter hospitals or care homes and face masks, despite there being zero evidence that they work, will be compulsory on on long-distance trains and airplanes.

Last year, we highlighted how the editor-in-chief of Germany’s top newspaper Bild apologized for the news outlet’s fear-driven coverage of COVID, specifically to children who were told “that they were going to murder their grandma.”

North Korea, despite a UN Security Council ban on its ballistic missile tests, continued to develop its nuclear and missile programs in 2021, according to a new UN report. In January 2022 alone, North Korea launched a record 11 missiles, including two hypersonic missiles and the first firing since 2017 of a Hwasong-12 mobile intermediate-range ballistic missile which is within reach of US territory with its estimated range of 4,500 kilometers. In 2017, North Korea tested the Hwasong-15, which has an estimated range of 8,500-13,000 kilometers.

Both US and South Korean officials expressed concern that the Hwasong-12 test indicated that North Korea would resume testing of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) and nuclear weapons.

  13. George Soros: Singlehandedly Destroying American Criminal Justice
What happens when justice is subverted by a radical billionaire financier?

    Fri Aug 5, 2022John Dempsey25 comments

Crime is rapidly rising in major American cities, primarily where liberal District Attorney’s (DA) received large sums of money from liberal billionaire George Soros in their election campaigns. Many of these DAs take it upon themselves to dismiss charges for various reasons – whether it is income, racial, or status based, ignoring the law. Liberal George Soros DAs, like any other politician, do what their largest donor wants them to do. In the case of American criminal justice, we see what George Soros wants: criminals who get away with crime and victims who never see justice.

  14. The Bureaucracy’s Democrat Majority Made America a One-Party Government
Six out of ten federal employees supported Biden.

When former President Trump, Gov. DeSantis, and Senator Ted Cruz, among others, endorsed rolling back the power of bureaucrats and their administrative state, Democrats panicked.

Senator Dianne Feinstein and Hillary’s former running mate, Senator Tim Kaine, introduced a countermeasure which they called, “Preventing a Patronage System Act” according to Kaine, to “protect the merit-based hiring system for our federal workforce”.

Media editorialists claimed that making it easier to get rid of federal employees would bring back patronage or the spoils system. The problem is that patronage never left.

We have spent generations living under a permanent patronage system. The spoils system, as bad as it was, kept one

  15. This could be filed under “Their Money, your Life

LA Times story in 2011 by David Willman.

Over the last year, the Obama Administration has aggressively pushed a $433 million plan to buy an experimental smallpox drug, despite uncertainty over whether it is needed or will work.

Senior officials have taken unusual steps to secure the contract for the NY based Siga Technologies Inc., whose controlling shareholder is billionaire Ronald O. Perelman, one of the world’s richest men and a longtime Democratic Party Donor.

when Siga complained that the contracting specialists at the Department of Health and Human Services were resisting the company’s financial demands, senior officials replaced the government’s lead negotiator for the deal, interviews and documents show.

When Siga was in danger of losing its grip on the contract a year ago, the officials blocked other firms from competing.”………

Negotiations over the price of the drug and Siga’s profit margin were contentious. In an eternal memo in March, Dr. Richard J Hatchett, chief medical officer of HHS’ biodefense preparedness unit, said Siga projected profit at that point was 180% which he called “outrageous”.

So the Obama administration simply waited out the media storm, and bought the drug for $30 million in 2013. Here is what the NY Times said about it in 2013, when the purchase was finalized:
The US Government is buying of a new smallpox medicine to treat two million people in the event of a bioterrorism attack and took delivery of the first shipment of it last week. but the purchase has set off a debate about the lucrative contract, and some experts are saying the government is buying too much of the drug at too high a price.

A small company, Siga Technologies, developed the drug in recent years. Wether $463 million is a boondoggle or bargain depends on which expert is talking.

Dr. Henderson and Dr. Philip Russell, who formally headed the Walter Reed Army Institute of Rearch and served on the advisory panel with him, said they expected the government to pay much less for an antiviral drug since they cost little to make and the alternative, vaccines, cost the government $3 a dose. “If they’re talking $250 a course, they’re a bunch of thieves”, Dr. Russell said.

Asked how much TPOXX (generic name is Tecovirimat) and 3. Vaccinia Immune Globulin there is in stockpile, the CDC’s Dr. Peterson would not answer, only saying there was enough. He didn’t know I had recalled the NY Times had spilled the beans on the initial purchase of 2 million courses. How much have they bought since? Presumably someone decided it would not be in the government’s best interest for the public to know how much of these unproven products were purchased from a top Democratic donor.

In 2018, FDA gave the drug TPOXX a licence. The NY Times explained how this happened:
The antiviral pill, tecovirimat, also known as TPOXX, has never been tested in humans with smallpox because the disease was eradicated in 1980, three years after the last known case.

The FDA approval of the drug went to Siga Technologies of Corvallis, Ore, a private company that developed the medicine under a federal biomedical defense contract……

Research on tecovirimat —— originally designated ST-246- began at the Institute (NIAID) after the 911 terrorists attack on the World Trade Center, Dr Fauci said. So the taxpayer paid to develop it, paid through the nose to buy it, Fauci-style, no doubt paying royalties to Fauci’s NIAID.

European and US officials condemned comments from Chinese Ambassador to France Lu Shaye (???), after he on Wednesday said that Taiwanese would be “re-educated” after any annexation by China.

In an interview on French television, Lu accused the Democratic Progressive Party of “extremist” propaganda and turning Taiwanese against “reunification” with China.
