Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

    • The head of the Energy and Climate Committee of the Bundestag, Klaus Ernst, called for the start of gas supplies from Russia to Germany via Nord Stream 2. He announced this on July 29.

      “In general, it doesn’t matter through which pipeline the gas is delivered to Germany. He still remains Russian. In this sense, the issue of Nord Stream 2 is rather symbolic. If there are no other possibilities, no matter for what reasons, and if in the end gas supply can be achieved only with the help of Nord Stream 2, then we will need to talk about putting it into operation as soon as possible,” Ernst told TASS.

      He noted that in order to restore gas supply to Germany, it is necessary to use all possible methods, including negotiations with Russia.

      “This should be the main goal of the federal government. If Economy Minister Robert Habek insists that Russia fulfill contracts, then this indicates that gas is needed. It doesn’t matter what channel it is delivered on. I know that many citizens are aware of this and want a solution to this issue. Germany should start negotiations with Russia on how the future energy supply will be arranged, ”the politician said.

      On July 27, the heads of seven cities on the German island of Rügen wrote an appeal to the regional and federal governments with a request to put Nord Stream 2 into operation. In their opinion, the course of renunciation of Russian energy resources proposed by Berlin is not correct and threatens the country’s energy security.

      Earlier in the day, it was reported that gas flow to Germany via the Nord Stream pipeline had dropped to 19.5% of the gas pipeline’s capacity. Against this background, the representative of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, a member of the parliamentary committee on energy and climate protection, Steffen Kotre, called for the speedy launch of Nord Stream 2.

      Also on July 20, readers of the German edition of Die Welt addressed the German authorities with a demand to put the gas pipeline into operation and thereby ensure the economic security of the country.

      The comments came in response to a statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who on July 19 recalled that the freezing of the gas pipeline was initiated by the German side, as it refused to issue certification to Nord Stream 2 at the last moment.

  3. As a young man I went to visit my Hungarian uncle who is a mathematician. He is an eccentric fellow. At the time he held the claim to having achieved his PhD at the earliest age in Hungarian history. What an entertaining mind he has. Once we rode on the tram while he calculated the probability of a one-legged hooker getting on at the next stop. (Yes, the vulgar Hungarian mind…)

    He went on to be a leader in the field of Fault Tree Analysis. This was the field of math that figured out why the space shuttle Challenger blew up because of a faulty O ring, if memory serves.

    I say all of this because he believed in God. Real mathematicians and scientists seem to have a finger on the pulse of a chaotic universe. The reason is because their profound knowledge brings them to the edge of the rational universe, enabling them to feel the resonance of the music of life. In my youthful zeal I tried to rationalize the meaning of nothingness, settling on the idea that the only “thing” that can exist in nothingness is the question, “What is nothingness?” This was me playing amateur scientist but budding mechanist ideologist. –Trying to tie up the loose ends of a complex system. He urged me to stop it and drop it. It was too dangerous for a young mind.

    Mechanist ideology is the fatal root of our current collectivist nightmare. This ideology, from Nazism to Communism to the current Technocratic collectivism, believes it can dominate and control complex systems. To behold the most current, immediate failure of a mechanist ideology one needs to look no further than Keynesianism: two levers–money supply and interest rates.

    The GOP elites won’t turn over the party to President Trump. They’ve tried to stop him every step of the way but they can’t because he represents America and his base is too big.

  13. Ukrainian Armed Forces opened fire on the barracks of the Yelenovskaya penal colony, where prisoners of Azov were kept – 40 people died

    According to the Deputy Minister of Information of the DPR Daniil Bezsonov, tonight the Ukrainians attacked the colony in Yelenovka, where captured Azov people who laid down their arms in Mariupol were kept. Presumably, the shelling was carried out from American HIMARS weapons.

    40 people died, 130 were injured. Services are now clearing the rubble, the number of victims may increase.

    “The military-political leadership of Ukraine apparently decided to get rid of unnecessary ballast,” said Daniil Bezsonov.

    The strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the detention center in Yelenovka is a blatant provocation committed to intimidate Ukrainian servicemen and prevent them from being taken prisoner, an investigation is underway – the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation

    The fact of keeping Ukrainian prisoners in Yelenovka is well known. And the impact of Kiev artillery on the place of their detention, in my opinion, is not an accident. They willingly speak, telling facts that are not the most convenient for Kyiv and the West. The shelling, which resulted in the death of at least forty people, is in fact an attempt by Kiev to shut them up. And another confirmation: the Nazis do not have their own.

    Many dots are connected inside “The 2020 COUP” that help expose you to the big picture. Patrick experienced one of these “dots” himself, in person. He was at the back of the TCF center when a van full of ballots arrived at 3:30AM on November 4th, 2020. “I was tired. They had no explanation for the ballots at the back of the TCF Center. It was clear to me that they were attempting to steal the election. So I kicked an empty box across the floor saying “they are trying to steal the election”. Most Americans want to kick that box too. He went on to video capture computer cabling to routers, desktop icons showing devices were “internet” connected, and much more.

    It infuriates Colbeck that officials falsely pass off simple ballot recounts as an “election audit”. Some jurisdictions even proclaim their new Risk Limiting Audit process is a “forensic audit”. The media repeat these phrases ad nauseum to convince the public that election was legitimate. He points out that an IRS Audit requires you provide the paper trail to validate the math on your 1040. If your receipts and records don’t match the entries, that IRS return is rejected. Fines can be levied until it is correct, and possibly jail. Election audits should be no different. From a voters registration to their ballot tabulation – officials need insure the paper trail for each ballot can be validated and is authentic.

    The 2020 COUP includes images, charts, diagrams, letters, emails, and so on. It often references Sun Tzu’s “Art of War” because of the similarities between those Chinese military attack strategies, and the election fraud approach. Colbeck has a few easy to read areas for the technically advanced, like a section on PID controllers. These devices are commonly used to regulate the output of a system to achieve a desired setpoint. He unleashes a shocking discovery involving a Chinese University that even GP was unaware of. It makes sense this seasoned engineer found this connection. The 2020 COUP also touches on the roll of the biased media, and reminds us they were the only ones discouraging independent election investigations.

    Patrick can take complicated issues and explain them in easy to understand terms. Like the problematic nature of having SQL Server software tools installed on an election server. He didn’t have subpoena authority to gain access to election information that many authorities refused to divulge. Even without this, the topics in the book cover a wide spectrum. The last sentences are certainly worth a mention: “We all need to get out of our comfort zone and stick up for the truth regardless of insults and false accusations. Other before us have sacrificed much more in the cause of liberty”. Well said! If only the RNC could become that example and grow a spine.

    Colbeck announced the details about a tiny chip the size of quarter built into election devices. This was a 4G cellular modem specifically made for the U.S. Verizon network. The chip was found on the small mother board inside the ES&S DS200 ballot scanner & tabulator. The DS200 scans ballots, converts it to a digital image, then counts those votes. Isn’t this the last place you should have a modem? Imagine what Colbeck could accomplish if he had funding, subpoena powers, search warrants, and a team of honest FBI agents working under him. Hint, hint…..a 2025 Trump appointment?

    These people are sick. As soon as Roe v. Wade was overturned, the Democrats panicked. They think pushing abortions is a political winner.
    Democrats first drafted a bill to legalize abortion and labeled it the “Women’s Health Protection Act”. US Catholic Bishops responded by sharing that “Abortion is the antithesis of healthcare”.

  20. Analysis: Shabaab’s multi-day incursion into Ethiopia

    Late last week, Shabaab, al Qaeda’s branch in East Africa, conducted a rare military incursion into eastern Ethiopia’s Somali Region. The foray inside Ethiopian territory reportedly lasted at least three days, with the Ethiopian government acknowledging it combated the jihadists inside its borders.

    According to officials in Ethiopia’s Somali Region (also known as the Ogaden), Shabaab militants entered Ethiopian territory through the region’s Afdheer Zone which borders Somalia’s Bakool Region on July 21. The jihadists then briefly took control over Hulhul, a town inside Ethiopia, before reportedly being beaten back after a three-day battle for the town.

    Puzzles deepen in the context of Shabaab’s attempted Ethiopian invasion

    Last weekend, Shabaab, al Qaeda’s branch in East Africa, attempted to mount a sizable incursion into Ethiopian territory. The foray lasted at least three days, with possibly hundreds of Shabaab militants involved, before regional troops from Ethiopia’s Somali State fought the jihadists back into Somalia.

    Over the last few days, however, new information has come to light that warrants further discussion of Shabaab’s raids and the possible intentions of its incursions. This includes a purported second attempt by Shabaab to mount a concerted raid into Ethiopia.

    Independent reporting has focused on Shabaab’s attempts to establish its own frontline inside Ethiopia, while Ethiopian officials and media continue to double-down on Shabaab’s alleged links with the ethnic Oromo insurgent group, the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA).

    On July 21, at least 500 Shabaab militants first entered Ethiopian territory after a separate unit of Shabaab’s forces attacked the Somali border towns of Aato and Yeed the previous day. The two towns hosted bases of the Liyu Police, an ethnic Somali paramilitary force used by Ethiopia inside both Somali State and Somalia itself.

  21. China’s Army posts “Get ready for war!” message over US visit to Taiwan

    “Get ready for war!” read a message posted by China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) 80th Group over the US visit to Taiwan, as reported on Friday, July 29.

    China’s Army’s war message over the potential US visit to Taiwan reportedly generated over 300,000 thumbs-up in just 12 hours, creating “high morale among Chinese soldiers” according to Global Times.

    The message was posted on China’s social network Weibo, with pictures of the post since circulating on Twitter:

    The post on China readying for war, comes after Nancy Pelosi, speaker for the United States House of Representatives, has enraged China after talks of a possible US visit to Taiwan, a move that would potentially recognise Taiwan as an independent sovereign state, and not as the Republic of China.

    However, many politicians are concerned that now that the news of the hypothetical visit has spread, if the US does not send Pelosi, it will look like the nation has backed down in front of China.

    Taiwan on the other hand is in the middle of its annual military preparation for Chinese invasion known as “The Han Kuang Exercise”, which started on Monday, July 25.
