armed citizen shot and killed a man armed with a rifle who had started shooting people at the Greenwood Park Mall in Greenwood Indiana, Sunday evening according to police; Three people were killed and two were wounded in addition to the shooter being killed. The person who stopped the attempted mall massacre was a 22-year-old man lawfully carrying a handgun who was called by police “the real hero of the day.” No description of the dead shooter was released except that he “looks to be an adult male” with a rifle and several magazines with ammunition.
The shooting took place around the mall’s closing time of 6 p.m.

Already days before the July 22 European “Doomsday” when the scheduled Russian 10-day maintenance of the crucial Nord Stream pipeline to Germany is slated to end – but which was thrown into deep doubt given Gazprom recently said it can no longer guarantee its “good functioning” due to crucial turbines being previously held up in Canada related to sanctions – the Russian energy giant has declared Force Majeure to one major European customer.
Simply put, Gazprom declared extraordinary and extreme circumstances to void itself from all contractual obligations to this customer, thus the gas will stop flowing indefinitely, as Reuters reports in a breaking development Monday, “Russian gas export monopoly Gazprom has declared force majeure on gas supplies to Europe to at least one major customer starting June 14, according to the letter seen by Reuters.” The letter is reportedly dated July 14.

SWITZERLAND – Government against treating Ukrainian war-wounded in Swiss hospitals
The Swiss federal government has objected to a NATO request to treat Ukrainians wounded in the war on the grounds of neutrality.
According to the Tages Anzeiger newspaper, certain Swiss cantons had expressed a willingness in May to treat the wounded but opposition from governmental quarters scuppered the initiative. The request was originally made by a NATO department called the Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre. This body coordinates medical evacuations from Ukraine internationally.
This request triggered investigations by Switzerland’s coordinated medical service, Federal Office of Public Health and the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. Three weeks later the federal authorities rejected the admission of wounded Ukrainians for legal and practical reasons.
The main objections were that it would violate Switzerland’s status as a neutral state under international law. For example, the Geneva Convention and Hague Agreement of 1907 require neutral states to ensure that the rehabilitated soldiers can no longer take part in military operations after their recovery.
With regard to wounded civilians, the government was of the opinion that it is almost impossible to distinguish civilians from soldiers given that many civilians in Ukraine are taking up arms to defend their country. Instead, Swiss officials prefer to help the wounded by channeling humanitarian aid to civilian hospitals in Ukraine.

NEWSWEEK – Russia in ‘Holy War’ in Ukraine Against ‘Satanic’ West, LGBT: Commander
Apti Alaudinov, the commander of Chechen forces fighting for Russia, praised Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, calling it a “holy war” against the “Satanic” values of Europe and the United States as well as the LGBTQ community.
Alaudinov made the remarks during a recent segment of Russia’s state-run Russia-1 television channel. A clip of his remarks were shared to Twitter on Sunday by Julia Davis, a columnist for The Daily Beast and creator of the Russian Media Monitor. Chechnya, where Alaudinov hails from, is a Republic of Russia under the jurisdiction of Moscow.
In his comments, the Chechen commander praised Putin for standing up against the West and NATO, describing them as evil. He praised the Russian president for preventing LGBTQ rights from advancing in their country, contending that the fight in Ukraine was a war against the marginalized community.
“This is a holy war our saints and elders spoke of,” Alaudinov asserted, who went on to say that he praises God to live in Russia and that the country is led by Putin. “He is the man that refused to accept the so-called European values,” the commander added.
“In reality, those are Satanist values that are imposed on the entire world,” he said. Alaudinov noted that he is “grateful” that Putin is following the values of “the Most High,” referring to God. “We are not under the flags of the LGBT and as long as he’s alive, we won’t be under those flags.”
He also called American democracy “the main enemy of mankind.” Continuing, he said the U.S., Europe, and NATO carry within them “everything that is Satanic,” and that they are “the army of the anti-Christ.”
The Chechen commander described his forces fighting with Russia against Ukraine as “the army of Jesus.” He praised Putin for doing “what the Islamic countries should have done” by fighting back against the U.S. and NATO.
Putin launched the full-scale invasion of Ukraine nearly five months ago on February 24. The Russian leader and other Moscow officials bizarrely claimed that Kiev is led by Nazis in a bid to justify their UNPROVOKED assault.
In reality, the Eastern European nation’s President Volodymyr Zelensky is Jewish and had family members killed in the Holocaust genocide perpetrated by the German Nazis in World War II. When Zelensky was first elected in 2019—with nearly three-quarters of the vote—Ukraine’s prime minister was also Jewish.

EC takes Hungary to court over LGBT regulation, launches new infringement procedures
The European Commission referred Hungary to the EU’s highest court (CJEU) over the controversial LGBT regulation and the media’s authority rejection of a bid by independent broadcaster Klubradio for its old frequency on July 15. In two other cases, an infringement procedure was launched. One for the discriminatory pricing of fuel and for introducing grain export restrictions, which may have breached EU rules.
The CJEU said the LGBT regulation, dubbed the child protection law by Hungary, violates internal market rules, the fundamental rights of individuals and EU values.
The legislation singles out and targets content that “promotes or portrays” what it refers to as “divergence from self-identity corresponding to sex at birth, sex change or homosexuality” for individuals under 18.
Parliament approved the anti-paedophilia bill, which bans content portraying or promoting homosexuality, transmitting information about LGBT or sex reassignment to anyone under 18.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen called the regulation a shame, saying it “goes against the fundamental values of the European Union: human dignity, equality and respect for human rights.”
Critics said the law stigmatises LGBT people and conflated sexual and gender diversity with paedophilia.
The nationalist ruling Fidesz party made homophobia a key campaign theme. A referendum was held on the same day as the election, which failed as fewer than 50% of eligible voters cast valid ballots.
Voters were asked whether they support: the ‘teaching of sexual orientation’ in schools without parental consent; the ‘promotion of sex reassignment therapy’ for children; the exposure of children to ‘sexually explicit media content’; and showing ‘media content on gender-changing procedures’ to minors.
For a year, Orban’s populist government argued that the EU has withheld RRF funds due to the controversial legislation. This argument was debunked by former EU commissioner and minister for regional development, Tibor Navracsics, in a recent interview.
The EC took Hungary to court over Klubradio, the last independent radio station, with national coverage, that lost its broadcasting licence in 2021.
EU rules require radio frequencies to be assigned “on the basis of objective, transparent, non-discriminatory and proportionate criteria”. The radio’s application for spectrum was rejected “on highly questionable grounds,” the Commission said.
Justice Minister Judit Varga noted that the decision was taken by an authority independent of the government and upheld by an independent court.
The European Commission also launched an infringement procedure against Hungary over a measure requiring prior notification of cereal exports and giving the state pre-emption rights. The government earlier said the notification measure had achieved its goal of preventing a big increase in grain exports amid higher global demand, thus ensuring domestic supply. Hungary has two months to respond to the EC on the matter.
As expected, the decision that only Hungarian-registered vehicles are allowed to fill up their tanks at regulated prices also triggered an infringement procedure. Foreign motorists had to pay the market price for fuel since late May, while Hungarians pay HUF480 per litre. The price cap was recently extended until October.
The government argued that it wanted to end fuel tourism that threatened supply. Analysts warned of fuel shortages in the peak season as MOL is planning to carry out maintenance work at its Danube refinery near Budapest next month.

reuters – Canada sends repaired Nord Stream turbine to Germany, Kommersant reports
Canada sent a turbine for the Nord Stream gas pipeline to Germany by plane on July 17 after repair work had been completed, Kommersant newspaper reported on Monday, citing people familiar with the situation.
The return of the turbine from Canada to the Russian Portovaya compressor station, a crucial element of Nord Stream, has been in focus for the past month since Russian energy producer Gazprom reduced gas supplies to Germany.
Europe has experienced a reduction in Russian gas supplies amid already soaring energy costs and broader inflation after what Moscow calls a “special military operation” in Ukraine prompted sweeping Western sanctions against Russia.
Nord Stream 1 is currently undergoing planned annual maintenance, which is due to be completed on July 21 and has completely halted flows.
However, there are fears Russia could extend the work period, throwing plans to fill European gas storage for winter into disarray and heightening a crisis that has prompted emergency measures from governments and painfully high bills for consumers. read more
It will take another five to seven days for the turbine, serviced by Germany’s Siemens Energy to reach Russia if there are no problems with logistics and customs, Kommersant reported.
The daily said the turbine will be sent from Germany by ferry and then transported by land via Helsinki. The equipment is expected to arrive in Russia around July 24, with preparation work taking another three to four days, the paper reported.
Gazprom said on Saturday it expected Siemens to meet its obligations in full when servicing gas turbines needed for the reliable operation of Nord Stream and energy shipments to Europe. read more
Germany’s economy ministry said on Monday it could not provide details of the turbine’s whereabouts.
But a spokesperson for the ministry said that the turbine was a replacement part that was meant to be used only from September, meaning its absence could not be the real reason for the fall-off in gas flows prior to the maintenance.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov redirected questions to Gazprom. Gazprom and the Russian energy ministry did not respond to requests for comment.

Putin to travel to Tehran for summit with Iranian, Turkish counterparts on Tuesday
The nuclear deal talks remain an important issue, where both Russia and the Islamic Republic are in favor of restoring the agreement in its original form
MOSCOW/TEHRAN/ANKARA, July 19. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to spend Tuesday working in Tehran, holding bilateral talks and attending a summit on Syrian settlement.
Putin is scheduled to arrive at the Iranian capital in the middle of the day and will start off the visit by meeting with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, according to Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov. It will be followed by a conversation with Ali Khamenei, Iran’s spiritual leader and the supreme leader. The Kremlin aide called Iran an important partner of Russia because relations between the countries are friendly, have a long history, and are developing very effectively in a wide range of areas. Moscow and Tehran have plans to take bilateral cooperation to a new level – a strategic partnership – so a new bilateral agreement is being prepared, Ushakov said.
The issue of amping up Russian-Iranian economic cooperation is especially important in light of the tightening of Western sanctions on Russia and the prospect of signing a permanent agreement between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union on a free trade zone in 2022, which should replace the temporary agreement.
The nuclear deal talks remain an important issue, where both Russia and the Islamic Republic are in favor of restoring the agreement in its original form. When the Russian leader meets with the leaders of Iran, they are expected to exchange views on key aspects of bilateral cooperation, and international and regional security, including the current situation around the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the Iranian nuclear program.
Putin-Erdogan talks
Putin will continue the bilateral meetings by holding talks with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan. According to Ushakov, the presidents are going to “discuss key issues of Russian-Turkish cooperation, the implementation of flagship projects in the trade and economic area, as well as give an in-depth consideration to some international issues, including the situation around Ukraine and the export of Ukrainian grain.” In the first half of the day on July 19, representatives of the Russian Federation and Turkey will hold special consultations on economic issues in Tehran, including on payments in national currencies.
Erdogan plans to focus at the meeting with the head of the Russian state on a comprehensive discussion of bilateral relations, the prospects for resolving the Ukrainian crisis, and the creation of a coordinating center in Istanbul to control the supply of agricultural products across the Black Sea. The issue of creating a grain corridor was discussed on July 13 in Istanbul by the military delegations of Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and UN representatives. The sides could sign a final document on the creation of the center and the start of grain exports at their next meeting that may take place this week, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said on Monday.
The talks also could touch upon a possible visit to Turkey by the Russian president, who was invited by Erdogan in January to visit Ankara. Earlier it was reported that there are no exact dates for the visit to Turkey yet.
The two leaders will also review the situation around Syria in light of Turkey’s plans to launch a new military operation in the north of the neighboring country against the militants of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party and its Syrian offshoot, the People’s Self-Defense Forces. It is also planned to discuss issues of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia, the situation in the Caucasus region, and other regional and international issues.
Ushakov confirmed that Turkey’s plans to conduct a new operation against Kurdish formations in northern Syria would be discussed by the presidents. “The Russian principled position is that we oppose any actions that violate the basic principle of the Syrian settlement, which is enshrined in the relevant resolutions of the [UN] Security Council and in the decisions of the Astana format, which is respect for the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of Syria,” he said.
Syrian settlement
In the second half of the day Tehran will host a meeting of the heads of the states that are guarantors of the Astana process of assistance to the Syrian settlement. Negotiations between the presidents of Russia, Iran and Turkey were planned to be held in the Islamic Republic in 2020 but the event has been postponed many times due to the pandemic.
“The Astana format has proved and continues to prove its effectiveness, it’s perhaps the only international instrument that is capable of producing a positive real impact on the situation in Syria,” the Kremlin aide said.
Ushakov said that the presidents of the three countries “will discuss a set of joint measures in order to achieve an ultimate and long-term settlement in Syria.” He said that “special attention will be paid to the issues of normalizing the situation in the territories not controlled by the Syrian government. The Kremlin aide paid special attention to the fact that the US continues to destabilize the situation in the Trans-Euphrates region, encouraging separatism and supplying weapons to Kurdish quasi-state organizations.
The official named humanitarian issues related to Syria among the issues to be discussed at the summit. “The social and economic situation in Syria is extremely difficult, and illegal unilateral Western sanctions against Damascus had a serious negative impact,” the Kremlin aide stated.
“The US and its allies continue to politicize the issue of providing humanitarian assistance to Syria, they have not fulfilled their obligations over the past year to support projects for the early restoration of basic socio-economic infrastructure in Syria, as well as the easing of sanctions,” he said.
Ushakov said that Russia on July 12 supported UN Security Council resolution No. 2642 on the extension of the cross-border mechanism for six months in order to give the sides another chance to fulfill their obligations. “We oppose any further extensions in this regard, and next time our position will be expressed more categorically,” the aide said. Anti-Nuke Greens Menace Europe
Greta Thunberg campaigned against nuclear, Germany’s Minister of Economy and Climate, Robert Habeck, lied about nuclear fuel rods and has lobbied German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to keep nuclear plants closed.
The German government is moving forward with plans to close its last three nuclear plants this December despite Europe being gripped by the worst energy crisis in 50 years. Robert Habeck, Germany’s Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, said there is no point in operating them because Germany lacks natural gas, not electricity.
“Nuclear power doesn’t help us there at all,” Habeck said on Tuesday.
“We have a heating problem or an industry problem, but not an electricity problem — at least not generally throughout the country.”
Besides, Habeck said, only Russia could provide Germany with the uranium fuel rods required to keep the nuclear plants operating, and there was no way to make sure the plants would be able to operate safely.
But none of what Habeck said was true. Coal, natural gas, and nuclear energy all generate electricity. Less nuclear means using more of coal or natural gas, which is why the German Cabinet, led by Habeck, just approved burning more coal.

King has been in jail since February for role in Freedom Convoy protest
A key figure of the Freedom Convoy protest has been granted bail after spending five months in jail, an Ottawa court decided Monday.
The decision on Pat King’s bail status came after a two-day bail review hearing last week. There’s a publication ban on the evidence and reasons for the decision.
King was back in an Ottawa courtroom after waiting months to hear if he would be released on bail, since his bail review in April came to an abrupt halt due to new charges against him and an apparent hacking of his lawyer’s computer during the review.
King’s then-defence lawyer had requested a review of the decision to keep him in custody until his trial begins.
Since then, King has tapped a new lawyer to fight for his release and defend him against a mounting number of charges.
King, an Alberta resident, was a leading figure in the weeks-long convoy protest against COVID-19 restrictions, and was arrested on Feb. 18 on four charges: mischief, counselling to commit mischief, counselling to commit the offence of disobeying a court order and counselling to obstruct police. He faces additional charges of obstructing justice and perjury.
On Monday, Justice Anne London-Weinstein read out the conditions of King’s release. They are:
-To vacate Ottawa as soon as possible, and no later than 24 hours.
-To reside with a surety under supervision until he can take a flight to Edmonton.
Ottawa Police Service can check the surety’s residence if required.
-To reside with a surety in Alberta.
-To be in employment under a surety.
-To have no contact or communication with other Freedom Convoy leaders and stakeholders: Chris Barber, Tamara Lich, Daniel Bulford, Benjamin Dichter, James Bauder, Tyson Billings, Owen Swiderski, Tom Marrazzo, and Brian Carr. (Unless it’s through counsel, or for his preparations for defence for his criminal charges.)
-No protesting or public assembly, specifically related to COVID-19 pandemic, the Freedom Convoy and anti-government demonstration.
-No social media in any form, no posting messages or having others post on his behalf.
-To abide by a curfew of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., unless he’s with sureties.
King must post a $25,000 cash bond, to guarantee his next court appearance.
-No possession of weapons or ammunition.
In June, a pastor who tries visiting regularly with King in jail at the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre said King was “pretty beat down.”

OTTAWA—Exactly five months after he was arrested for his role in the so-called “Freedom Convoy,” Pat King was granted bail on Monday as he faces a slew of criminal charges as a key figure in last winter’s controversial protests.
King’s mouth dropped in the prisoner’s box of an Ottawa courtroom when he realized he would be released after spending 150 nights in custody since his arrest on Feb. 18. Later, as the conditions of his release were being read in court, King bowed his head and appeared to weep silently into a white tissue.
Reasons for the decision from Superior Court judge Anne London-Weinstein, as well as the evidence heard during his bail hearing last week, cannot be reported because of a court-ordered publication ban.
While on bail, King will be subject to a curfew, barred from using social media, and must return to reside in Alberta as soon as possible. He also cannot contact other “freedom” protest organizers, including, among others, Tamara Lich, Chris Barber, B.J. Dichter, Tyson “Freedom George” Billings, and Tom Marazzo.
King is also prohibited from organizing any anti-government protests or demonstrations related to the “freedom” cause.
A small group of King’s supporters, including his girlfriend, sat near the front of the courtroom. Some wore t-shirts with “Free Pat King” written on them.
King, 44, was arrested Feb. 18 and charged with mischief, obstructing a peace officer, counselling others to commit mischief, counselling to commit intimidation, counselling to obstruct police and blocking or obstructing one or more highways.
He was denied bail a week later, when a justice of the peace determined he posed a “substantial likelihood” of re-offending if he was released, and that his imprisonment while facing criminal charges was necessary to maintain public faith in the justice system.

The Federal Reserve is poised to raise the federal funds rate by 0.75% on July 27 in a bid to rein in runaway inflation, according to The Wall Street Journal, but some economists tell the Daily Caller News Foundation that won’t be enough.
Federal Reserve officials over the past week have indicated they will back a 0.75%, or 75 basis point, increase in the federal funds rate as the next step in efforts to get inflation under control, according to the WSJ. However, inflation is so rampant that some economists tell the DCNF even more aggressive action is needed.
“As to will a 75 basis point hike do the trick in containing inflation, I doubt it,” Mark Vitner, Managing Director & Senior Economist at Wells Fargo, told the DCNF.
“The oft-cited strength of household, corporate and state and local government balance sheets as a reason to expect only a modest-to-average recession is also the reason why it will be so difficult to bring inflation down on a sustainable basis,” Vitner added.

The Biden administration sold nearly six million barrels of oil from its Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) since July 2021 to a Chinese state-run energy firm, according to a Daily Caller News Foundation review of Department of Energy (DOE) data.
From July 2021 until the end of June 2022, Biden’s energy department auctioned off 5.9 million barrels of strategic reserve oil to Unipec, the trading division of the Chinese state-owned Sinopec, in an effort to increase the supply of oil globally. (Richard: Most of the people alive have the mistaken idea that the historical norm is peace. They are wrong, the historical norm is war with the strong nations expanding and the weak being absorbed into the strong. The guilt mongers on the left use this false belief to attack the nations that use to be free nations of the Western Civilization. They are trying to make us feel guilty about our expansionist past while they are busy trying to recreate their ancient empires.
Their desire to return to their glory days are running into unexpected problems. Their economic war on the west has created the perfect economic storm that is (some times slowly) suppose to destroy the formerly free Western nations is generating active resistance to their collectivist/communist programs.
Many are saying that this resistance is too late but kinetic resistance to oppression is slow to build and always starts with the resistance being the underdogs in the fight. These fights always take much longer then most people expect.
The coming war(s) will be especially long and brutal because of the way we have allowed the left to infiltrate large numbers of enemy fighters into our nations and big cities. The Europeans place more importance in the control of the large cities, especially the Capital cities then the Americans do, or historically have. I’m both the Revolution and the War of 1812 the Brits captured our Capital and we fought on to victory.
I’m the coming war(s) our European friends need to learn this lesson from history and fight until their nations are once again free.
Remember you win wars by destroying their will to resist. As long as people are resisting the nations haven’t been considered. You also need to remember that the west has faced invasions and occupation before and fought on to victory.
We can win the coming war(s) and regain our freedom by remembering what our forefathers did you establish the freedom that way too many of us take for granted. We must win this fight so we can go e our decendents the freedom we use to enjoy.
