Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

Imagine then, in our current environment, the absence of outrage were they to start mapping the location of conservatives, the unvaxxed, or even those vaxxed but not “up to date” with their shots. China’s build in weaknesses (command driven economies don’t have the flexibility to make the sudden changes necessary to survive major economic troubles.       There really may be no helping the China economy. A few years ago westerners touted the Chinese as the way to go and the example of world economic success. Today the country’s economy is falling apart in large part due to its dependence on the real estate sector.

      We warned since President Trump was in office that his actions were causing the Chinese economy to fall apart. In 2020 right before COVID hit, Trump had clearly won the economic battle with China in a knockout.

      In the summer of 2020, President Trump imposed sanctions on TikTok, and in the next summer, Biden lifted them in his own executive order. While the Biden administration claimed that it would scrutinize the Chinese Communist company, there was an obvious ulterior motive.

      Biden revoked Trump’s TikTok executive order in June 2021. That same month, the Biden administration began reaching out to TikTok influencers to build an “influencer army”.

      It’s impossible to believe that the two White House decisions to revoke the TikTok order and to mobilize TikTok influencers made in the same month were unrelated.

    Time for a history lesson. Let us assume you are Polish and you had two relatives who died in World War II. One was murdered in the Wolyn Massacre and one was executed in the Katyn Forest. Would it make any difference if I told you that the Wolyn Massacre was carried out on the orders of Ukrainian nationalist, Stepan Bandera while the Katyn Forest slaughter was headed up by Lavrentiy Beria, who hailed from the Republic of Georgia? Would it matter to you? Who would you hate more? Ukraine or Georgia?

  11. There is no getting around the fact that direct war with Russia is coming. There are zero moves for peace talks, and the only thing that is moving are more weapons to Ukraine. Meanwhile, the economic sanction war continues to backfire. Canada has decided to allow a repaired turbine that helps moves natural gas from Russia to Europe to be returned to Russia. No way that turbine be there before July 22. That’s when Russia says it cannot guarantee the Nord Stream 1 pipeline will function to full capacity. The repaired turbine has been held up by Canada because of sanctions. There is no telling when it will be put back into service. Will the economy in the EU and, especially, Germany be shut down even further? Will the banks fold? Will Europeans freeze this winter? All good questions that probably have very negative answers.

    Another week and more reports of people who “die unexpectedly.” The reports never ask the question, “Were they vaxed?” Heaven forbid anyone ask for an autopsy with all of these people dying (many of them young) for no apparent reason. Might it be they were given a bioweapon that was passed off as a vaccine? And it’s causing heart attacks, strokes, cancers and many other life threatening and life ending problems?

    The Bureau of Labor Statistics is out with a new inflation number, and it’s hit another fresh 40-year record high at 9.1%. Shadowstats.com economist John Williams calls bull crap on the rigged “official” inflation number, and he says inflation in the real world is more like 17.3%. This is bad news for the Biden/Obama White House. This new inflation spike is going to force the Fed into raising rates in their upcoming July meeting. That will further tank the economy right into the mid-term election in November.

      WASHINGTON, July 15 (Reuters) – The U.S. State Department has approved the potential sale of HIMARS rocket systems to Estonia, missiles to Norway and torpedoes to South Korea in separate deals that could be worth more than $1.5 billion in all, the Pentagon said on Friday.

      The sales comes as European countries increase arms purchases after Russia invaded Ukraine, heightening security fears across the region.

      HIMARS systems donated by the United States and allies are being employed by Ukraine in its fight with Russia.

      The package approved for Estonia would include up to six M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) launchers, munitions, support equipment, spares and technical support, the Pentagon said.

      The Pentagon’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress of the possible sale to Estonia alongside the two other foreign military sales on Friday.

      The State Department’s separate approvals of the potential sale of medium-range air-to-air missiles and related equipment for Norway in a deal valued at up to $950 million, and MK 54 Lightweight Torpedoes to South Korea for an estimated value of $130 million also were made public on Friday.

      Despite approval by the State Department, the notification does not indicate that contracts have been signed or that negotiations have concluded.

      The Pentagon said Lockheed Martin Corp was the prime contractor for the HIMARS systems and Raytheon Technologies was the prime contractor for the up to 205 AIM-120 C-8 or D Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air missiles.

    Stumbling through the Middle East this week, calling the Holocaust an “honor” and removing the Israeli flag from his limo to go visit Palestinian terrorists in East Jerusalem – the first American President to ever visit Arab-occupied East Jerusalem – may not be the worst crime Joe Biden committed this week.

  25. QDemocrat will kill small business with a $250 billion tax

    In 2010, Democrats alone passed Obamacare, which was a huge subsidy for the insurance business and a hefty burden on small businesses who suddenly had to provide health insurance for all employees regardless of whether they already had it.

    Then Democrats pushed for a $15 an hour wage, which Walmart could afford but Sam Walton’s market never could. Walmart came up with self-checkout. Sam couldn’t.
    Then Democrats in California passed an anti-gig law that made it harder for small businesses to outsource some services.

    In 2020, Democrats did a double-whammy on small businesses. First, they shut down the economy to stop a virus that 99% of people survive.

    Then they rioted in city after city. Rioters seldom were arrested and charged but a teenage boy who shot three rioters in defense (killing two) was forced to endure one of those Trials of the Century we keep having.

    Also, Democrat prosecutors stopped prosecuting shoplifting and even some violent crimes. Organized thieves began looting stores openly. If a clerk confronts a crook, he can get stabbed. And if he defends himself, he can expect a murder charge in New York City.

    Big business can deal with these changes. In fact, most Democrat business laws now serve as a barrier to competition for the established multinational companies.

    But small businesses struggle and survive this onslaught of unwarranted attacks by Democrats who absolutely hat the thought that anyone should be self-reliant and not dependent on the government or a big corporation because Democrats control corporate

    France preparing for total cutoff from Russian gas.

    Despite claiming that “France has little dependence on Russian gas,” President Macron announced that public lighting would be turned off at night to save energy.

    Macron made the comments during a televised interview to commemorate Bastille Day.

    Asserting that “the summer, early autumn will be very hard” for French people due to the war in Ukraine, Macron said that a total cutoff of Russian gas was looking very likely.

    In response, French citizens are being told to engage in energy “sobriety” and prepare for even higher food prices as Macron announced public lighting will be turned off at night in some places.

    “From now on, I will ask public bodies, and all companies that can, to consume less,” said Macron. “We will create a program and try to use lighting less in the evenings. We are launching a load reduction and sobriety program.”

    “We have to prepare for a scenario in which we have to give up Russian gas completely,” he added.

    Despite these rather drastic pronouncements, the French President still insisted that “France has little dependence on Russian gas.”

    He also claimed that the energy crisis wasn’t caused by sanctions on Russia because “energy prices started to rise even before the war.”

    “We must all prepare for the fact that the war will last. The summer and the beginning of autumn will probably be very tough,” said Macron.

    As we previously highlighted, the crisis is also being felt keenly in Germany, where citizens are busy stockpiling firewood as they are told to take fewer showers, drive less and deal with freezing temperatures by wearing more layers of clothing.

    Cities across Germany are also planning to use sports arenas and exhibition halls as ‘warm up spaces’ this winter to help chilly citizens who are unable to afford skyrocketing energy costs.

    Still, at least they support ‘the current thing’. Maybe that will help keep them warm.

Birkhead announced that he would no longer allow his deputies to hold inmates with ICE detainers in the county jail, in order for ICE agents to pick them up for possible deportation. Instead, they have been instructed to release illegal aliens back onto the streets, as soon as they make bail, regardless of the charges.
