Reader’s Links for October 21, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    • zero hedge – CDC Advisory Committee Quietly Confirms Moderna Jab Significantly More Dangerous Than Pfizer

Now, one day after the FDA defied its own advisors by approving the Moderna jab and J&J jab for booster doses for practically all American adults (while also producing guidelines for mixing and matching of vaccines for booster doses), a CDC advisory panel met Thursday and, while reviewing all the data on safety and efficacy, finally admitted that the earlier warnings about the excess dangers associated with the Moderna jab have been confirmed.

What’s more, as the slide below says, rates of rare heart risks (myocarditis/pericarditis) among 18-39 year olds are higher for the Moderna jab than the Pfizer jab. But risks are still present for both,

and it’s the younger patients (who least need the vaccines) who are most at risk for the side effects.

Husband: “I’m not yawning. I’m trying to say something.”

  5. My good Canadians,

today another CA-EU co-production from Hamburg

There is even a version by Dark Shadows from Oz.

Google also “Knut (polar bear)” or “The Little Polar Bear”.

Perhaps the polar bear is so close to our hearts because, as survivors of the ice age, we unconsciously identify with it (according to Jung, an archetype). The tropics are coming to us (mainly in the form of their natives). Scholle in German has not only the meaning (ice) floe, but also the own piece of land. It melts away like ice in the sun.

    Stay positive!

  6. I like Ted Cruz (Cuban, reliably anti-commie) and J.E. Dyer supported him in the 2016 election.

Sundance at the ConservTreeHouse says he’s a fake, a RINO like Nikki Haley, whom I also like. (An Indian Christian knows a thing or two about tards, and says so. Her support of Israel goes beyond appeasement of Evangelicals.) But no one knows U.S. politics better than Sundance.

Meanwhile, this move by Sen. Cruz is awfully good:

  7. The Biden administration abandoned an oil and gas drilling project in Alaska approved by former President Donald Trump, which it had previously defended.
“Today’s affirmation of our legal victory against the Willow project is a win for the climate and for an irreplaceable Alaska landscape,” Jeremy Lieb, an attorney for the group Earthjustice, said in a statement Wednesday. “We are glad to see that President Biden is taking positive steps in his commitment toward a cleaner energy future.”
While the administration chose against appealing a federal ruling that blocked the project, it previously vowed to defend the project and accused environmentalists of “cherry-picking” government records.

  8. Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan says the Democrats committee investigating the incident at the U.S. Capitol on January 6 is a “complete assault on Americans’ liberty.”

Jordan, who has called for an investigation into House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over her role that day, went off when discussing the committee approving a criminal contempt report to hold Steve Bannon in contempt of Congress.

“There’s been subpoenas issued to 11 individuals, 11 American citizens who asked the government permission on an application to hold the Trump rally,” Jordan said.

“The government granted it and now the January 6 committee petitions them to ask them questions about exercising their First Amendment right to assemble,” he added.

“And why would they subpoena me? I didn’t do anything wrong — I talked to the president,” Mr. Jordan told the Washington Post. “I talk to the president all the time. I just think that’s — you know where I’m at on this commission — this is all about going after President Trump. That seems obvious.”

“And they told these companies that, by the way, don’t let the person we’re telling you to preserve information for, don’t let them know as the law requires, don’t let them know that we’ve asked you to do this,” he said.

“This is scary where they want to go and what they’re doing to Americans’ constitutional rights. And finally, I would ask the fundamental question, how would you expect witnesses to participate when you wouldn’t let Republicans participate in the committee? How can you do that? We know what this is about, it’s plain and simple, this is about they’ve got nothing else to talk about.”
