Germany sees an increase in Cash Withdrawals of Peace.
Up until 16 December 2020, 390 german ATMs have been blown up. This breaks the previous record from 2018 of 369 explosions. Last year, it was “just” 349. The german states that were hit the most were North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony, Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate, all on the western border.

Blast in Ethiopia Kills Three and Injures Five, Reports Suggest (sputniknews, Dec 20, 2020)

“The situation in the African country remains tense after a military conflict between the federal government and militants of the Tigray region, which claimed thousands of lives and forced almost a million people to flee their homes.
According to a state news agency, an abandoned bomb has exploded in Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia, killing three people.
The Ethiopia News Agency reported that the explosion occurred in the Lideta area near the centre of the city.
“An investigation regarding the explosion is now going on and the public will be informed once the investigation is completed”, the state agency noted.
The situation in Ethiopia has been tense since 2019, when the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) quit Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s governing coalition. The regional authorities refused to follow a federal order to postpone elections amid the coronavirus pandemic. Tigray held the vote, but the results were never recognised by Addis Ababa.
After an attack on a federal military base in Tigray, the central government launched an operation against the region, and seized control of its cities, including the regional capital Mekele.”

“Afghan lawmaker Haji Khan Mohammad Wardak has been injured in a bomb blast in Kabul that has left at least nine people dead, sources in the Afghan capital’s police department told Sputnik on Sunday.
“Nine people were killed and several others were injured in the blast”, a police source said.
The blast was believed to have targeted Wardak’s vehicle. The Afghan lawmaker is said to have survived the incident, according to law enforcement sources. No organisation has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
The explosion is yet another episode in a recent string of terrorist attacks across the country.
Later in the day, the Afghan interior minister, Massoud Andarabi, confirmed that nine people were killed and 20 others suffered injuries in the explosion, as reported by the country’s TOLOnews broadcaster.
Throughout Sunday, several other bombs were detonated across Afghanistan. In Jalalabad, a device exploded near a police vehicle at roughly 10:00 local time (05:30 GMT), leaving two law enforcement officers injured, Farid Khan, a police spokesman in Nangarhar province, said.
One person has died in the northern province of Badakhshan after a roadside improvised explosive device detonated in the Baharak district, a regional police spokesman said in a statement.
A car bomb also exploded in the town of Pol-e-Alam, the capital of Logar province, regional police chief Shapoor Ahmadzai said. The blast reportedly left one civilian with injuries.
A suicide bomber also attempted to launch an attack on Afghan National Army (ANA) forces in the Nawa-I-Barakzayi district of Helmand province earlier in the day, the Afghan Ministry of Defense said.
“He was identified and eliminated by the ANA before he could reach his target. Unfortunately, 2 ANA members have received minor injuries as a result of the incident”, the ministry wrote on Twitter.
According to the Afghan Interior Ministry, 35 suicide attacks and 507 bomb blasts, conducted by the Taliban have killed more than 480 civilians and wounded over 1,000 in the last three months. At least 15 were killed and 20 others injured in Friday’s bomb attack in Ghazni alone.
The escalating violence in Afghanistan is taking place despite both the government and the Taliban having been engaged in peace negotiations in the Qatari capital of Doha since September.”

A car bomb exploded in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul, killing at least nine and injuring 20, including Afghan lawmaker Haji Khan Mohammad Wardak, on Sunday.
Afghan security forces were seen at the scene of the explosion, where several civilian vehicles as well as surrounding buildings and stores presented severe damages.
Afghan Interior Minister Massoud Andarabi said that it is ‘too early’ to give more details about the blast.
An eyewitness recalled the moment of the explosion: “I was sitting here, suddenly I heard a huge explosion near us. At first, we didn’t know what happened, there was smoke everywhere then the cars started burning, I was standing here, then the broken glass injured me.”
The explosion is reported to have taken place while Wardak’s convoy was driving through the Khoshal Khan neighbourhood.
No responsibility has been claimed for the blast.

“Gunmen in Nigeria abducted more than 80 Islamic school students in northwestern Katsina state Saturday night, but the pupils were quickly rescued by security forces after a fierce gun battle, police announced Sunday.
The foiled abduction comes less than two days after the release of 344 schoolboys who were kidnapped in the same area on Dec. 11. The incidents have highlighted the insecurity in northern Nigeria.
Saturday night’s attempted kidnapping took place in Dandume, about 64 kilometers (40 miles) from Kankara, the town where the earlier kidnapping of schoolboys occurred.
The bandits had already abducted four people and stolen a dozen cows when they ran into the schoolchildren who were on their way home from a celebration, Katsina state police spokesman, Gambo Isa, said early Sunday morning. Police and a local community self-defense group rescued the children from the bandits after a gunfight, he said.
“The teams succeeded in dislodging the bandits and rescued all the 84 kidnapped victims and recovered all the 12 rustled cows.” said Isa in a statement. “Search parties are still combing the area with a view of arresting the injured bandits and/or the recovery of their dead bodies.”
Dandume, an area bordering the northern part of Kaduna state, is one of the region’s hotspots for banditry and kidnapping, according to residents.
“Dandume is a no-go-area for many of us because of the high level of crimes and insecurity being perpetrated by armed bandits,” said Saidu Lawal, an official of a local civic group in Katsina, told The Associated Press.
“Despite government efforts to open up the area by constructing roads leading from the metropolitan locations to the hinterlands of Dandume … the banditry still persists,” said Lawal. “On many occasions, the bandits block the Dandume-Sabuwa highways to attack travelers. It was based on that reason that many people have abandoned the new route.””

“Germany has organized the return of three women and 12 children from camps in northeastern Syria for humanitarian reasons, its foreign minister reported Sunday.
Heiko Maas did not further identify the women or children, who were flown back to Germany on Saturday.
However, the German weekly Bild am Sonntag reported that all three women had left Germany in recent years to join the extremist Islamic State group Syria. The paper identified the women as Merve A., Yasmin A. and Leonora M.
Also Sunday, Germany’s federal prosecutor’s office said a German citizen by the name of Leonora M. had been arrested upon her arrival at Frankfurt airport. It said she is accused of membership in the foreign terrorist group Islamic State and allegedly committed crimes against humanity.
Maas said he was “very relieved” about the return of the 12 children and three of their mothers. He said the return was organized in cooperation with Finland, which brought home six children and two women.
“These are humanitarian cases, especially orphans and children with illnesses — cases in which the departure was urgently needed,” Maas said.
“This good news just before Christmas makes us confident that we will be able to organize the return of further cases as well,” he said.
Hundreds of Europeans — many of them young women — left the continent in the last couple of years to join the Islamic State and fight in Syria and Iraq. Several died, others were arrested and detained by Turkish, Kurdish or Iraqi authorities who have been eager to deport them and their children back to Europe.
European governments, however, have been reluctant to take back the often-radicalized Islamic State supporters.
The women and children who just arrived in Germany were detained at the al-Hol and Roj camps in northeastern Syria, the German foreign ministry said. The camps are managed by the Kurdish-led administration in northeastern Syria but lack basic services and have been rife with diseases and lawlessness.
Al-Hol holds over 60,000 Syrian, Iraqi and Western detainees, most either family members of Islamic State fighters or supporters of the group who had remained in the territories it held until the final battle in March last year.
Roj is a smaller camp with mostly Westerners — also family members of imprisoned or killed IS fighters or supporters.
The Kurdish-led authorities said last month they will begin releasing some of the 25,000 Syrians held in the al-Hol camp, allowing them to return home if they choose to.”

“German authorities have broken up an international crime ring that duped elderly people into handing over their money and valuables to criminals posing as police officers, a German newspaper reported Saturday.
In cooperation with Turkish authorities, German police busted a call center in the southwestern Turkish city of Izmir where suspects allegedly phoned retirees in Germany and talked them into handing over their valuables to fake officers, the daily Rheinische Post reported.
The newspaper said 38 people were arrested earlier this month and 48 locations were searched in addition to the call center. Police reported confiscating cash worth 1.7 million euros ($2 million) during the raids, as well as 5 kilograms (11 pounds) of gold and high-end watches, the paper reported. Authorities also seized 41 luxury cars, 87 properties including luxury homes and hotels.
”In this call center, there were members of families that lived in Germany before but were deported because of crimes,” Thomas Jungbluth of the state criminal police in the western state of North Rhine-Westphalia told the Rheinische Post. “They resettled in Turkey.”
The suspects allegedly told the people they called that their jewelry or money wasn’t safe at home or at the bank and they would send police to collect and keep it for them at a safe place.
“Since we raided the call center, there have been barely any such calls in Germany anymore,” Wolfgang Herrmanns from the state criminal office told the newspaper. “We’ve drained the swamp.””

“The government of Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau has announced it will be investing $40 million into home ownership opportunities exclusively for black people.
The announcement was made this week by Canadian Minister of Families, Children and Social Development Ahmed Hussen along with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) CEO Evan Siddal and Habitat for Humanity Canada President and CEO Julia Deans.
A CMHC press release stated the $40 million comes on top of a further $32.4 million partnership between the Canadian federal government and Habitat for Humanity Canada to build 414 new homes across the country.
“In Canada, systemic racism and discrimination is a reality for Black Canadians. Global events during the pandemic have also shone a light on these realities as racialized Canadians face additional socio-economic barriers as a result of racism, particularly anti-Black racism,” the press release claims.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted and exacerbated existing systemic barriers faced by Black Canadians. While we have made progress in advancing equitable access to support and opportunities, our Government knows that much more needs to be done,” Minister Hussen said.
Hussen, a Somali refugee, held his former Immigration Minister position during the surge of illegal border crossings from the United States, with most of the migrants crossing the border coming originally from Haiti.
Last January, while still immigration Minister, Hussen and the Trudeau government announced plans to add more than one million immigrants to the Canadian population over a three-year period.
Hussen is also known for his connections to radical leftist U.S. politician Ilhan Omar, who is also from Somalia, with the pair posting photographs together in December of 2017 during a meeting to discuss illegal migration across the Minnesota border with Canada.
The new funding for home ownership for black families comes just months after the Trudeau government pledged $221 million for loans exclusively to black entrepreneurs in a bid to help them start businesses.”

Intelligence sources said that the average cost per trip is between £500 and £1,000, with some human trafficking gangs offering passage to Britain for as low as £300, the Daily Telegraph reported.
The drop in prices — which were as high as £2,700 in September — comes ahead of the Christmas holiday season when border patrols are typically scaled-down, with many officers taking time off.
Last Christmas and Boxing Day saw records for single-day crossings of the English Channel, prompting Britain to step up patrols this year, in theory to prevent another surge of illegal boat migration — although Border Force does not actually turn back any of the boats in intercepts, instead collecting migrants and bringing them the rest of the way to England.
The people-smuggling gangs are reportedly slashing prices amidst increased enforcement by the French authorities after Home Secretary Priti Patel agreed to a further payoff of £28 million to France to induce them to stop illegal aliens using their beaches as a staging ground.
Since 2014, British taxpayers have shipped some £192 million to France to try and stem the tide of illegal immigration, but the migrant waves have only continued to grow.

The Home Office is reportedly set to deploy a ‘stealth squad’ of speedboats and jet skis in the English Channel in order to monitor further migrant crossings.
Clandestine Channel threat commander, Dan O’Mahoney, said: “This new technology could help in our mission to make these crossing unviable by gathering evidence for prosecutions, preventing uncontrolled landings and supporting operations to save lives at sea.”
So far this year nearly 9,000 illegal migrants have been recorded to have reached British shores by boat alone, over four times the number for 2019.”

The judge in the case, Fredrik Forsman, said in the courtroom that “Many of the police officers that we have heard have said that this is by far the most serious thing that they have experienced, and some of them have served in Afghanistan,” broadcaster SVT reports.
Forsman added that those on trial were given light sentences anyway because they had not been “distinctively active” during the rioting.
The 31-year-old man admitted that he had thrown stones at police during the riot but claimed he never meant to do so, and took a taxi to the riot to film the incident to increase his social media following.
The rioting took place after Danish anti-Islam activist Rasmus Paludan and his group Stram Kurs (Hard Line) burned a copy of the Qur’an in the notorious no-go zone of Rosengård and posted a video of the burning online.
The riot was not the first sparked by Paludan and his supporters. In 2019, Copenhagen erupted into violence in April after Paludan tossed a copy of the Qur’an around in the air.
A total of 23 people were arrested in connection with the rioting, including one person who attempted to physically attack Paludan himself.
Since the Malmö riot, Paludan has remained active and promised to burn more copies of the Qur’an despite being banned from entering Sweden. Plaudan claimed that he had Swedish citizenship and could not be banned from entering the country.
In November he attempted to burn a Qur’an in the French capital of Paris, but was quickly arrested outside the Arc de Triomphe before he could burn the Islamic book and deported. He had previously been banned from entering France.”

MONTREAL – Haiti – Justice : A Haitian sentenced in Montreal for the rape of a 7-year-old girl
Wednesday December 17, Marcel Casseus (66) a Haitian asylum seeker living in Montreal for several years, imprisoned since his arrest on July 18 on suspicion of sexually assaulting a young girl, appeared at the Montreal courthouse where he was found guilty of raping a 7-year-old girl.
After having pleaded guilty, the judge Pierre Labelle after the pronouncement of the sentence condemn Marcel Casseus to six years in prison in addition to being registered in the register of sexual predators for 20 years declared that it was necessary “to pass the message that attacking children will always be severely punished […]”
In 6 years, after having served his sentence, Casseus will be deported to Haiti because of his status in Canada,
Recall that Marcel Casseus had won the trust of a family in Montreal where he sometimes looked after the children when the parents had to be away. It was during one of his guards in July 2020, that Casseus raped the then 7-year-old girl and was caught red-handed by the older sister (14) of the young victim, which rushed to alert her mother who was at work. Following the rape, Casseus fled, a run that lasted only 3 days before being arrested.

But even with overwhelming Black support—94 percent of Detroit voted for Biden!—the outcomes in Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania were worryingly close.
One core problem is the Electoral College. Wyoming, which has just 580,000 residents and is 93 percent white, gets three electors because of its two senators and one representative in the House. By comparison, Georgia’s Fifth Congressional District—which includes Atlanta, has 710,000 residents, and is 58 percent Black—has no dedicated electors or senators and can only occasionally overcome the mostly white and conservative votes from elsewhere in the state. This devaluation of Black votes allows our political system to ignore Black lives, and the consequences are devastating. Unequal representation has led to unequal health care outcomes, which the Covid-19 pandemic has only worsened. Without sufficient voting power, Black communities receive substandard education, and politicians are free to appoint judges who sanction mass incarceration, abusive policing, and electoral disenfranchisement.
This is all by design. The Constitution’s framers set up the Electoral College to protect the interests of slave states. Along with the Senate, the Electoral College was critical in the endurance of slavery and its continuation by other means. Abolishing this system would mean that ballots cast by Black voters—or any voters, for that matter—would count the same.
But there’s another way to undo the damage of the Electoral College and other structurally racist political institutions: We can implement vote reparations by double-counting ballots cast by all Black residents. The poisonous legacy of slavery applies to Black people regardless of when we or our ancestors arrived in this country. Vote reparations should also extend to Native Americans. Slavery is rightly called America’s original sin, but so too was the United States’ genocidal seizure of land from its original inhabitants. Various legal forms of disenfranchisement have applied to them. It wasn’t until 1962 that all Native Americans were allowed to vote, and even then they faced—and still face—electoral obstacles. These are not the only examples of American oppression; we should include in vote reparations others who have suffered similar disenfranchisement.
One of the largest objections to monetary reparations is the impracticality of implementing them on a scale that would meaningfully address the injustices. Vote reparations, in contrast, would be a simple, low-cost way to begin to make amends.
This idea isn’t entirely new. Theodore Johnson, a senior fellow at the Brennan Center for Justice, discussed a similar proposal in 2015 in The Washington Post. While his plan to make Black Americans’ votes worth five-thirds has a poetic symmetry with the three-fifths clause of the Constitution, we shouldn’t bind a remedy to the mathematics of the compromise that formalized and furthered the dehumanization of Black people. That bargain allowed the very people who stripped us of our rights to have their votes counted for more—even more than other white people—in Congress and the Electoral College. But it’s not the only way politicians have legally denied representation to Black people. This country’s history of poll taxes, literacy tests, gerrymandering, voter purges, and intimidation should all be addressed. Tying a remedy to the three-fifths compromise implies that clause was the heart of the problem. It wasn’t and isn’t. Counting Black votes twice keeps the point clear and provides redress for myriad forms of disenfranchisement deployed against Black voters.
Vote reparations would create possibilities to build what W.E.B. Du Bois called “abolition democracy,” or the practice of achieving a racially just society. Abolition democracy invites us to engage with abolition not as a finite goal but as a radical process of challenging injustices wherever and in whatever form they might appear. Vote reparations would empower us to replace oppressive institutions with life-affirming structures of economic, social, and political equality. And if our elected representatives did not prioritize this transformational work, we could vote them out.
Because white votes currently count more than Black ones, double-counting Black votes would restore electoral balance. Vote reparations would be a giant step toward remedying our nation’s long history of denying and devaluing Black votes. To address systemic racism, we must transform how we choose our government. Even if vote reparations aren’t instituted, Black voters will keep tirelessly dragging our states toward a more perfect union. But just imagine our country if our votes counted twice.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) said on Saturday that he plans to challenge electoral college votes when they are counted during a Joint Session of Congress on Jan. 6.
“So on January 6, I’m joining with the fighters in the Congress and we are going to object to electors from states that didn’t run clean elections,” Gaetz told a crowd during the first day of the Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit.
Republicans in Congress are considering whether to join the effort to challenge the 2020 general election results. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) initiated the push when he announced his intention to object to the electoral college votes come January, while several other Republican lawmakers from both chambers have remained open to participating in the effort.

President Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani called on counties in key election states to allow his team to examine voting machines to prove that Trump won.
Giuliani suggested that in Arizona’s Maricopa County—where the Board of Supervisors voted to reject a subpoena for voting machines—”we get a warrant to search all of the machines … Why would you ever not want people to look at voting machines? voting machines aren’t private.”
“They don’t contain medical information,” Giuliani told Steve Bannon’s “War Room.” “They don’t contain illegal information. We don’t get to see who you vote for. It’s public information; [it] doesn’t even belong to you. The only reason you would be resisting our examining those machines is because you know you did something crooked.”
The former New York City mayor suggested that the Maricopa Board of Supervisors’ 4-1 vote is a sign county election officials are hiding something from the public.

The U.S. Media Are Suppressing the Truth about Hydroxychloroquine
Developments overseas have been totally ignored by the American press. And yet, since Election Day, the media have hewed to the “HCQ Bad” narrative.
Since most Americans who want to be vaccinated against COVID-19 will have to wait until spring—and cases are climbing—it is imperative that we focus on therapies to keep people out of the hospital and that we revisit the media-engineered saga of hydroxychloroquine.
Italy’s Council of State last week took a step in the right direction when it reversed the country’s July 22 ban on the off-label use of hydroxychloroquine. They issued this reversal following an appeal from a group of doctors seeking to use the anti-malarial drug for early outpatient treatment of COVID-19.
As cited in the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Order 7097/2020 holds that the continuing “uncertainty” over the drug’s efficacy demands that they permit the individual doctor and patient to make their own informed decisions about using it.
So far, this development has been totally ignored by the American press. It does not fit the accepted narrative. (As a point of comparison, when a European Union agency recently published a memo linking hydroxychloroquine to “psychiatric disorders and suicidal behavior,” based on data from six patients in Spain, the news merited same-day coverage in Newsweek.)
Anyone who has watched cable news or opened a newspaper since March is aware that the corporate media has waged an aggressive campaign against hydroxychloroquine, aided by scientific journal editors and public health officials on both sides of the Atlantic.
The current accepted press narrative on hydroxychloroquine is that no evidence exists showing it is effective for treating COVID-19, and that it can, in fact, be harmful. Any person who suggests otherwise is accused of being “anti-science” and a promoter of “conspiracy theories” and “disinformation.”
But the narrative is false. First, there is strong evidence that hydroxychloroquine is helpful in treating COVID-19 when administered early in the disease—notably, from studies by the Mount Sinai Health System in New York and the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, which both showed that the drug cut the mortality rate for COVID-19 patients nearly in half. Large multi-hospital collaborations in Belgium and the Netherlands and numerous smaller studies have also demonstrated benefits.
Secondly, more than 2 billion people worldwide have taken hydroxychloroquine in its 70-year history, and it is known to be so safe that it can be taken by “pregnant women and nursing mothers,” according to the CDC. By contrast, the largest and most lauded study this year that claiming hydroxychloroquine may cause harm to COVID-19 patients was the scandalous, retracted Lancet paper, which that journal’s own editor called a “monumental fraud.”
And yet, since Election Day, the press has hewed to the “HCQ Bad” narrative, most visibly in their coverage of the two hearings before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security on “Early Outpatient Treatment” of COVID-19, convened by Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.).
During the first hearing, on November 19, Yale epidemiologist Dr. Harvey Risch argued, “every study of outpatient use of one drug, hydroxychloroquine, with or without accompanying agents, has shown substantial benefit in reducing risks of hospitalization and mortality.”
Dr. Ashish Jha, dean of Brown University’s School of Public Health, offered the accepted press view, telling the committee, “Not only has hydroxychloroquine demonstrated minimal to no benefit in treating COVID-19, but it also poses substantial risks to patients.”
How did the press report on this hearing? The New York Times published an op-ed by Jha, titled “The Snake-Oil Salesmen of the Senate,” and with the sub-heading, “There is no evidence that hydroxychloroquine helps Covid-19 patients.”
“Trial after trial has found no evidence that hydroxychloroquine improves outcomes for Covid-19 patients; some studies have found that it causes more harm than good,” Jha wrote. Once again, the paper of record is trying to erase the results from Mount Sinai and Henry Ford simply by ignoring them.
At the beginning of the second Senate hearing on December 8, Senator Gary Peters (D-Mich.) launched an astonishing attack on Dr. Risch and two other physicians who had testified at the first hearing in favor of hydroxychloroquine.
“Last month,” Peters said, “this committee held a hearing that was billed as a review of early outpatient treatments for coronavirus. Unfortunately, that hearing amplified unverified theories about treatments that are not supported by the scientific community.” He added, “the committee was used as a platform to attack science and promote discredited treatments” and “we have a responsibility to follow science, to follow facts, not conspiracy theories and not disinformation.”
That day, the New York Times ran a story about the hearing with the headline, “Elevating Fringe Theories, Ron Johnson Questions Virus Science.” Just this week, the Washington Post took a swipe at Johnson for organizing the hearings, stating, “He continues to promote the use of hydroxychloroquine, rejecting scientific studies that found it can endanger COVID-19 patients.”
One group Senator Peters singled out for praise was the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which he said, “continues to use scientific standards to authorize innovative and effective early treatments.” And yet, it is largely thanks to the FDA—and the efforts of Dr. Rick Bright, who, in his whistleblower complaint written with Christine Blasey-Ford’s lawyer, Debra Katz, called hydroxychloroquine “this unproven and potentially dangerous drug”—that there are millions of donated doses of hydroxychloroquine languishing in the Strategic National Stockpile, unavailable for use by COVID-19 patients and their doctors.
As vulnerable and older patients fall ill, the decision to use a drug that might help keep them out of the hospital and will almost certainly not cause harm should be left between the patient and his doctor—as it will now be in Italy—without the corporate press and their narrative engineers interfering. Any measure that helps children return to school and business owners regain their livelihoods would be a no-brainer, if only the press—and their allies in public health and academia—would get out of the way.

Gabbard released legislation on Friday, known as the Pandemic Crisis Excess Profits Tax, to ensure that corporations such as Amazon, Facebook, Walmart, and Google are not profiting off economic shutdowns that have helped clear the market of their competition.
“Big tech corporations and big-box retailers are among those who have made excessive profits during the COVID-19 pandemic, while mom and pop shops are being forced to close their doors due to government-mandated restrictions,” Gabbard said in a statement.The legislation — first adopted during World War I and World War II to prevent corporations from profiting off the wars — would add a 95 percent tax on corporations’ excess profits calculated by subtracting their 2020 gross earnings from their average gross earnings from 2016 to 2019, before the coronavirus.
The corporations’ excess profits would then be directed to aid struggling small businesses that have been forced to close their doors due to economic shutdowns while giant conglomerates have been allowed to conduct business as usual. Gabbard said:
Because of this, these large corporations will be better positioned with a competitive advantage over small businesses in a post-pandemic economy. Congress must reinstate the WWII-era excess profit tax used at that time to prevent war-time profiteering, and dedicate the funds collected to helping small businesses recover.

Senator Ted Cruz blocked legislation that would create an immigration carve-out to more than seven million Chinese nationals during Senate proceedings on Friday. Senator Cruz cited the national security threat that the Hong Kong People’s Freedom and Choice Act would represent.
The law would’ve enshrined residents of Hong Kong with permanent eligibility as US refugees. A new white paper from the globalist International Monetary Fund (IMF) is calling for dissidents to have their credit score lowered if they view websites that are arbitrarily deemed to be harmful.
The plan is outlined in a blog written by Arnoud Boot, Peter Hoffmann, Luc Laeven and Lev Ratnovski. They are pitching the Orwellian notion as a breakthrough in financial technology (Fintech).
“Recent research documents that, once powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning, these alternative data sources are often superior than traditional credit assessment methods,” they wrote, claiming that “the type of browser and hardware used to access the internet, the history of online searches and purchases” would determine a person’s credit score under their dystopian vision.

An article in the New York Times quoted several doctors suggesting that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention should deprioritize distributing the coronavirus vaccine to the elderly because they are “whiter.”
“Older populations are whiter,” Dr. Harald Schmidt, a health and policy expert at the University of Pennsylvania, said. “Society is structured in a way that enables them to live longer. Instead of giving additional health benefits to those who already had more of them, we can start to level the playing field a bit.”
The article, titled “The Elderly vs. Essential Workers: Who Should Get the Coronavirus Vaccine First?”, contained multiple examples of doctors appearing to suggest that race should be a factor in the vaccine rollout, which the CDC has been accused of supporting.
Schmidt told the Washington Examiner that it would not be a “fair characterization” to describe his comments as a “race based approach” and pointed to an essay articulating his approach in more detail.
“The fundamental point is this: Among the population 65 and older, many can live socially distanced safely and with relatively less inconvenience until they receive a vaccine,” Schmidt said. “But far more among the essential workers don’t have that option, esp [sic] frontline workers. For them, getting a vaccine sooner can literally be of existential importance. Therefore, vaccinating all healthy people 65+ before essential workers is likely to make racial and economic disparities worse. And likewise, within each population group, it is therefore critical to use a measure such as a social vulnerability index, to make sure that more vulnerable people are offered a vaccine first.”
Marc Lipsitch, a Harvard University epidemiologist, said that teachers should not be treated as essential workers when it comes to passing out the vaccine if the goal is to “reduce health inequities,” in part because “they are often very white.”

Saskatoon police monitoring “freedom rally” protest after previous events resulted in fines for violating public health orders
Protesters held up signs condemning COVID-19 restrictions put in place by the government to occasional honks from passing vehicles.
It’s not yet clear what, if any, fines will result from a “freedom rally” in downtown Saskatoon Saturday afternoon.
More than 100 people gathered at Kiwanis Memorial Park to protest mask wearing and other restrictions put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
In advance of the rally, Saskatoon police issued an advisory saying they had spoken with rally organizers and would be responding to the event. The rally was to take people on a route between the Broadway and Traffic bridges and police asked the public to avoid the area.
Police have not yet said if charges will be laid.
The crowd started small, with the first arrivals clumping together to sing Christmas carols. But the park around the Vimy Memorial eventually became filled with dozens of people looking to take part in the rally.
The rally marks the third weekend in a row in which a large public anti-mask protest has taken place in the province. On Friday, Saskatoon police issued a $2,800 ticket under the Public Health Act to a “key participant” in a Dec. 5 protest in Saskatoon. Early last week, Regina police issued two similar fines following a Dec. 12 rally.
Rally organizer Mark Friesen, who said he was the key participant fined in relation to the Dec. 5 protest, said that while the events taking place have been referred to as “anti-mask” rallies, he considers them to be “freedom rallies” — pushing against what he believes are unreasonable public health orders and advocating for “transparent, open discussion and dialogue” around COVID-19 restrictions. Saturday’s event was billed online as the “Saskatchewan Christmas Freedom Rally.” Friesen said attendees were welcome to come wearing masks or seeking to physically distance, though many chose not to.
Attendees brandished signs carrying slogans including “More masks more COVID?,” “YES to freedom of speech,” and “Shahab is lying” — targeting Saskatchewan’s chief medical health officer Dr. Saqib Shahab, who was the subject of racist comments at the previous week’s rally in Regina. At previous rallies, speakers and attendees shared unproven and false claims about the COVID-19 virus, government restrictions, vaccines and the use of masks.
Saskatoon police Chief Troy Cooper said this week that officers investigated the Dec. 5 protest, looked at public health orders, and consulted with Crown prosecutors and public health officials to assist in determining if it was in the public interest to proceed with charges. He said similar events will be looked at on their own merits and evaluated on the potential harm to the community.
Police, on Friday prior to the rally, said in a statement that officers “will continue to be present at all future public gatherings that impact community safety.”
Cooper said police investigated events this spring in support of Black Lives Matter, and consulted with the Crown and public health officials about potential charges. Coopersaid although there was a large BLM protest and gathering on June 4,the organizer and most participants followed public health orders by wearing masks and physically distancing.
“Certainly I think with the steps that were taken in previous protests, we could see that there was a reduced harm, but certain(ly) it is something we treat regardless of the cause or the nature or reason behind the protest, we treat each one the same,” Cooper said.
“What we’re really hopeful for, like everybody else, is voluntary compliance so that people can remain safe in Saskatoon.”
‘LOOK AT THE REALITY’: MAYOR
Saskatoon Mayor Charlie Clark on Friday pleaded with people to avoid any rallies or public events like the one on Saturday.
“I’m just asking people to stay home, to really look at the stats, look at the reality — we’ve just surpassed 100 deaths (in Saskatchewan) from COVID this year, and we’ve been hearing desperate pleas from those who are on the front lines, the nurses and the doctors, of just how horrible it is to see people lose their lives at this time, without being able to connect with their loved ones,” Clark said.
“They’re starting to see the health system overwhelmed, and I think there’s people who are hearing misinformation and conspiracy theories, and they’re very, very disconcerting right now because the reality is we need to support the health workers who are trying to keep people alive and to not listen to some of the misinformation and conspiracy theories that are coming around.”
FINES ARE ‘100 PER CENT AGAINST’ RIGHT TO ASSEMBLE: ORGANIZER
Friesen, in an interview, said the $2,800 fine he received earlier this month and other such fines for violating public health orders “aren’t worth the paper they’re written on.”
“There’s what we call the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, that protects our right to assemble peacefully, and of course this is 100 per cent against that,” he said.
According to the Saskatchewan Public Health Act, a “medical health officer may order a person to take or refrain from taking any action specified in the order that the medical health officer considers necessary to decrease or eliminate a risk to health presented by a communicable disease.” This includes “(requiring) a person to conduct himself or herself in a manner that will not expose another person to infection.”
Friesen said he did not believe the provincial government has proven the public health orders are necessary, especially when it came to outdoor gatherings such as the recent rallies.
“There’s a number of measures they’ve taken that they haven’t demonstrably proven are appropriate for the circumstance,” he said.
As of Thursday, the maximum size of an outdoor gathering under the provincial public health order was reduced to 10 people from 30 people.

“The Irish government has proposed making it a crime to share ‘hate’ comments on social media platforms even if someone else wrote of them.
Ireland’s Justice Minister, Helen McEntee, announced the new proposals this week, which could see retweeting or reposting ‘hate’ speech comments a criminal offence.
According to a report from the Irish Times, the new legislation will repeal the Prohibition of Incitement to Hatred Act 1989 which previously dealt with hate crimes but has been deemed to not be robust enough.
The paper adds that the new bill will also expand the language under the hate crime laws to include those who target transgender and disabled people. Previous legislation had covered hatred against religious and ethnic minorities, migrants, and homosexuals.
The new proposed legislation will also broaden the scope of hate speech to include language that does not have to be directly threatening.
Certain exemptions will be granted under the new law to those engaged in art, academia, and public debates, supposedly.
“I am determined to tackle these crimes and to ensure that those who seek to divide our communities and spread hatred and fear are dealt with effectively by our criminal justice system,” Justice Minister McEntee said.
In 2018, residents of the small Irish town of Lisdoonvarna had their population increased by around a third due to the establishment of a migrant centre, and it was claimed that locals were too afraid of being branded racists to speak out about any anxieties they may have.
Earlier this year, the Irish government clamped down on free speech for pro-life activists by banning them from holding demonstrations outside of abortion clinics and setting up “exclusion zones”.”

A source with knowledge of the situation has revealed to TheBlaze that in October 2018, Hunter Biden’s handgun was taken from his vehicle without his knowledge by Hallie Biden — the widow of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s son Beau — and she placed it in a garbage can outside a Delaware supermarket.

But after a subsequent search, the gun couldn’t be found, the source said. And after law enforcement was contacted and both Hunter Biden and Hallie Biden were questioned, the source said no arrests were made and no charges were filed.
Delaware State Police on Thursday told TheBlaze the case was referred for a decision on prosecution to the Delaware Department of Justice, which has not yet returned TheBlaze’s request for comment on this case.
In addition, the source also said agents from the United States Secret Service as well as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives visited the shop where Hunter Biden purchased the gun prior to any report being filed.

With the winner of the U.S. election still undecided, I’m hoping that, after the truth comes out about voter fraud and Congress validates the Electoral College’s tally on Jan. 6, Donald Trump will serve a second term—because some of the important work he began in his first term is still not finished.
The two greatest enemies of both the United States and the world are the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and international terrorism. During his first term, Trump trounced the ISIS terrorist group, but terrorism from other groups and malign governments could erupt at any time and needs a strong hand to keep it at bay. Trump has shown that he can do it.
As for the CCP, it was exhilarating for me to see him go up against that brutal and deceitful regime, no holds barred, in the past year or so.
I know first-hand the tyrannical nature of China’s communist regime. My family members were considered enemies of the state and cruelly persecuted because my grandfather had been a politician in the previous government before the communists took over.

A former judge from Wisconsin, who is now representing the Trump campaign in the state, told lawmakers this week that he believes intimidation by the left has prevented lawyers and judges from accepting and hearing election fraud cases.
“We have to acknowledge that the court system has been deeply intimidated by the left, just as the lawyers have been intimidated,” James Troupis told the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on Wednesday. “And that’s a sad, sad state of affairs.”
The committee was conducting a hearing that explored voting “irregularities” from the 2020 general election. During the hearing, witnesses testified about a litany of alleged instances of election fraud occurring in multiple contested states.

Jin provided the Chinese Communist Party with information about users and meetings, even supplying the CCP with IP addresses from anyone who held anti-China sentiments, say federal prosecutors in Brooklyn, New York.

Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville said that since administering the Pfizer COVID vaccine on Thursday, four staff members “experienced tingling and elevated heartrate shortly after the injection,” WMAQ-TV reported.

Thousands of people have been unable to work or perform daily activities, or required care from a healthcare professional, after getting the new COVID-19 vaccine, according to new data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
As of Dec. 18, 3,150 people reported what the agency terms “Health Impact Events” after getting vaccinated.
The definition of the term is: “unable to perform normal daily activities, unable to work, required care from doctor or health care professional.”
As The Epoch Times’ Zachary Stieber reports, the people reporting the negative effects reported them through V-safe, a smartphone application. The tool uses text messages and web surveys to provide personalized health check-ins and allows users to quickly tell the CDC if they are experiencing side effects.
The CDC and Pfizer, which produces the vaccine with BioNTech, didn’t respond to request for comments.
The information was presented by Dr. Thomas Clark, a CDC epidemiologist, to the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, an independent panel that provides recommendations to the agency, on Saturday.

If we are to believe the final tally from the 2020 presidential election, Joe Biden captured 81,283,485 votes to Donald Trump’s 74,223,744. Those numbers strain credulity, especially considering that Biden’s total dwarfs that of his former boss, Barack Obama, who collected 69,498,516 votes in 2008.
What makes these data even more baffling is that Biden’s campaign was plagued by record lows in voter enthusiasm, with just 24% saying they strongly supported him. Nor was he any more popular among his rivals for the Democratic nomination. New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker expressed concerns about “Biden’s ability to carry the ball across the end line [sic] without fumbling,” while candidate Julian Castro made remarks that seemed to raise red flags about Biden’s age and mental fitness. Even Kamala Harris, who accepted Biden’s offer to be his running mate, found herself tongue-tied when late night talk show host Stephen Colbert asked her how she was able to reconcile her willingness to serve under Biden with his views on busing, which were so repugnant that she was nearly driven to tears her during one debate.
But arguably no Democrat had a lower opinion of Joe Biden that Bernie Sanders campaign co-chairwoman Nina Turner, who told The Atlantic that endorsing Joe Biden for president would be like eating a bowl of sh*t.

It truly speaks of the ambiguous nature of Indonesia’s controversial Information and Electronic Transactions Act (UU ITE) that a cleric was reported to the police for alleged violation of the law after he told a story in public that he met with Prophet Muhammad in a dream.
Haikal Hassan, a spokesman for the 212 Alumni Brotherhood (PA 212), an umbrella group comprising the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) and other hardline Islamic organizations, was accused of blasphemy for telling his story during the funeral of five of the six FPI members who were killed during a shootout with the police. A video of Haikal’s speech was uploaded to FPI’s YouTube account, thus potentially fulfilling the UU ITE violation aspect of the complaint.
In the video, Haikal delivered a speech in which he said he found solace in religion after the deaths of his two children. He said he recently had a dream in which Prophet Muhammad came to him assuring that his children are with him.
“The prophet said to me directly in my dream that I should not be scared,” Haikal said.
The Islamic Defenders Forum (not to be confused with FPI) took issue with Haikal’s claim and reported him to the Jakarta Metro Police for spreading a hoax and committing blasphemy under UU ITE and the Criminal Code (KUHP). He may face up to six years in prison if convicted under those charges.
“The dream was politicized for his and his group’s own gain, by using the prophet’s name. Whereas we don’t actually know what the prophet’s face looks like. Did the prophet go to him and say, ‘Hey Haikal, it’s me, the prophet.’ Please, this kind of thing does not make sense,” Islamic Defenders Forum Chairman Guz Rofi’i said yesterday.
Haikal has not issued any statement regarding the complaint against him.
The complaint against Haikal comes after the recent battering of FPI and allied groups in the hands of law enforcement. On Dec. 7, six FPI members were killed in a violent shootout with the police. Authorities said the shootout was instigated by the FPI members but have so far failed to provide irrefutable evidence to back their claim.
FPI leader Rizieq Shihab was also arrested on Saturday for incitement to commit crime after he allegedly allowed mass gatherings to be held in his honor amid the pandemic following his return from exile in Saudi Arabia. Rizieq may face up to six years in prison.

A recall movement to remove a George Soros-funded left-wing prosecutor elected in Los Angeles County in November is already gaining steam, with crime victims and their families drawing attention to George Gascón’s soft-on-crime policies.
Gascón announced after his election that he intends to end the use of cash bail in misdemeanor and most felony offenses, a move that his critics are slamming as a “get-out-of-jail-free” card to violent criminals. Gascón is also advancing a plan to close Los Angeles County’s Men’s Central Jail, destroying the county’s capacity to detain those charged with criminal offenses even as violent crime increases and the murder rate of the county has risen 25% in 2020.
“He’s running a social experiment that is dangerous for all of us because his whole goal is to release all these criminals out there in the street, and somehow they’re magically going to behave. And that simply isn’t going to happen,” said attorney Samuel Dordulian, who is representing a group of crime victim’s families. Former Los Angeles District Attorney Steve Cooley has emerged as a critic of Gascón, and even some subordinate prosecutors have been reprimanded for noting in court filings that they disagree with Gascón’s left-wing use of prosecutorial discretion.
