He is also accused of sharing research he did in the U.S. with the Chinese government.
Dr. Qing Wang, was arrested Wednesday afternoon at his home in Shaker Heights. He is being charged with false claims and wire fraud related to more than $3.6 million in grant funding that he and his research group at the Cleveland Clinic received from the National Institutes of Health.

Sweden: Migrant charged with murdering his girlfriend and chopping her into pieces

A Kurdish migrant has been charged for the murder of his girlfriend, 17-year-old Wilma Andersson, who went missing six months ago. Her body was cut up into many pieces, some of which have not yet been found. Wilma’s head was found in a suitcase in the migrant’s flat.
In his defence, the migrant claimed that the fact that he had kept her head indicated that he loved Wilma too much to kill her.
Andersson had not been seen alive since November 14, when she was last known to have been in Wakesborg, Uddevalla, on Sweden’s western coast.
The 23-year-old Kurd, whose name has not been released, first came to Sweden as a refugee in 2006.
Police now believe that Wilma was murdered on the evening of November 14, according to a report by Expressen. Neighbors testified about hearing screams from the migrant’s apartment at the time. A number of motorists later called police to notify them that they had seen the migrant walking along a nearby highway and acting strangely.
Responding police stopped him on the highway that night to question him about his activities. The officers reported that the Kurd appeared to be in a state of shock. He told them that he was walking there as a consequence of having been in a fight and then missing a train.
After Wilma’s disappearance, police launched a massive search to locate her which involved many volunteers as well as police. Although body parts verified as belonging to Wilma were located, it wasn’t until two weeks later that police announced they had made a discovery which ruled out finding her alive. That discovery was her head.
Wilma’s head was found packed in a suitcase in the migrant’s apartment with aluminum foil and tape, alongside a stuffed animal.
When police confronted the migrant about their find, he sat silently for 27 minutes before asking to go to the bathroom. When shown photos, he only said, “It’s brutal.”
The migrant had consistently responded “no comment” to questions from the police about the murder until he finally began answering on April 15. He has consistently maintained his innocence since he was first arrested on suspicion of the murder on November 22.
In addition to the head, forensic specialists have also discovered Wilma’s DNA on several knives in the Kurd’s home. The migrant told investigators that he had received the knives from Wilma’s mother as a gift. Traces of her blood were also found in his living room.
Furthermore, police discovered that in the summer of 2018, the migrant sent Wilma a text message in which he said that he wanted to cut her up into pieces. A number of witnesses have likewise testified that the two frequently argued and that they believe he was abusing Wilma even prior to her death.
When asked about Wilma’s head, the migrant replied that he would have not have kept her head if he had killed her, claiming it was an indication of how much he had loved her.
The migrant’s attorney is maintaining that someone who has a grudge against him planted the evidence in an attempt to frame him for the murder.

Former Red/Black governments, the current Black/Green government and the mainstream media demand and promote immigration, while denying its actual existence and playing down its effects. According to them, there is no Islamisation at all, it only exists in the minds of “right-wing extremists”. Chancellor Sebastian Kurz ( Austrian People’s Party ÖVP) stated in 2015 that Islam is part of Austria. In doing so, he obviously admitted that Austria is transforming itself into an Oriental country. His Black/Green government supports this to the utmost with the current regulation: it adapts Austria’s laws to Oriental customs. If that is not a form of Islamization, then what is?

“Between January and April of this year, Spain has seen the most asylum applications in the European Union, overtaking Germany and France as migrant arrivals from Central and South America soar.
Spain saw a total of 37,471 asylum applications from January to April with the largest groups of asylum seekers originated in Colombia, Venezuela and Honduras, while Germany saw 33,714 asylum applications with 23 per cent of the applications coming from individuals claiming to be Syrian nationals, 9.3 per cent from Iraqis and 7.7 from Afghanis.
The two countries were followed by France with 28,710 asylum claims, Greece with 21,153 claims and Italy which saw 8,025. Estonia and Slovakia received the lowest number of claims with just 19 and 47 respectively, Die Welt reports.
The numbers were published by the European Union asylum authority Easo which revealed that the political bloc, plus Switzerland, saw 164,718 asylum claims between January and April, a 25 per cent decrease from the year before.
While Easo has noted a decline in numbers, largely due to the coronavirus and the various lockdowns initiated by countries across the globe, it warned that the Wuhan coronavirus could lead to a surge in migration numbers in the medium term as countries outside of the EU may struggle to cope with cases of the virus, prompting more people to leave.
The authority also warned that the Islamic State terror group could see a resurgence as operations against them have largely been postponed or halted due to the pandemic and that could also lead to a rise in asylum seeker numbers.
Italy, which also initially saw a reduction in migrant arrivals due to the coronavirus, has seen a fresh wave in recent weeks both along the Mediterranean migrant route to the island of Lampedusa and Sicily and across the northern border with Slovenia.
In Greece, there have also been warnings from the Greek government that migrants may once again attempt to storm their border with Turkey in the coming weeks.”

“Turkish authorities on Friday detained four more elected mayors from Turkey’s mainly Kurdish populated east and southeast regions, as the government pressed ahead with its crackdown on a pro-Kurdish party it accuses of links to Kurdish militants.
The mayors from the People’s Democratic Party, or HDP, were detained at their homes, removed from office and replaced with government-appointed trustees, the state-run Anadolu Agency reported. A fifth mayor was also fired but has not been detained.
The government accuses the party of links to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK. The HDP denies the accusation.
The HDP denounced the crackdown on the elected mayors as a government “coup.”
“This amounts to the rejection of democracy, this amounts to the non-recognition of the will of the people,” said party co-chairman Mithat Sancar.
The Kurdish people would not yield to pressure and would fight for their democratic rights, Sancar said at a news conference.
The four mayors were elected to office in local elections last year in the cities of Igdir and Siirt as well as in Siirt’s districts of Baykan and Kurtalan and the district of Altinova in Mus province.
HDP says the government has appointed caretaker mayors to 45 out of a total of 65 municipalities that the party won in local elections in March 2019. At least 21 mayors have been imprisoned on terror-related charges.
Seven former HDP lawmakers, including former chairman Selahattin Demirtas, are also in prison.
The New York-based Human Rights Watch has criticized Turkey’s crackdown against the mayors, saying it amounts to a violation of voters’ rights.
The PKK is considered a terror organization by Turkey, the United States and the European Union.
Meanwhile, authorities detained 38 people for questioning over an attack Thursday that killed two workers who were distributing aid to people in a district in eastern Turkey. The district has been placed under quarantine due to the new coronavirus outbreak.

The academic council of the College of Europe had given the thumbs up to Federica Mogherini to be its new rector despite being the only candidate and allegedly not being qualified for the role.
The College is a training ground for top EU officials and its council endorsed her application, making it almost certain that she will be confirmed in June. She will be the first female rector of the College.
Her candidacy was not without controversy, however. A number of alumni, professors and EU officials said the Italian politician is not qualified for the post, doesn’t meet the criteria and entered the race for the post, months after the deadline of 30 September 2020. Members of the council have been accused of ignoring well-qualified candidates in favour of Mogherini.
According to a report from the selection committee, none of the original candidates had managed to obtain the support of at least half of the members by November 2019. A smaller “search committee” was then established to “enlarge the pool of candidates”. The panel managed to enlarge the pool by a total of one person- Mogherini.
She was interviewed on 30 April and it was unanimously agreed that she “undoubtedly offered the best combination of qualities in view of leading the college and that therefore none of the already interviewed candidates should be (re)considered.”
Mogherini has a master’s degree in political science from Rome Sapienza university plus a year of research in France as a part of the EU Erasmus programme. She also has an honorary degree from the University of Tampere in Finland.
Previous rectors have been professors with a PhD and a long academic track record. The job listing said that candidates should be able to demonstrate “substantial academic qualities in the field of European studies, proven experience of the administration and management of an academic structure of some complexity and should be able to combine the pursuit of academic excellence at international level with sound budgetary management.”
Critics have said that her appointment seeks to further tarnish the limited trust left in the EU and is “another illustration of failed and out of touch leadership in the Continent.”
Mogherini has served as the Vice-President of the European Commission and Italy’s Minister for Foreign Affairs. She has no academic experience.

Sweden’s Parliament voted yesterday to pay 21 million Swedish kronor (approximately 2 million euros) of the African nation of Somalia’s debt to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The vote was unanimously in favour of the proposition apart from the ten MPs from the Right-wing Sweden Democrats’ delegation, who all voted against it, according to a report by Samhällsnytt.
Prior to the vote, Dennis Dioukarev, a Sweden Democrat MP representing Gothenburg, gave an address in which he questioned why the Swedish taxpayers’ assets should be used to pay off Somalia’s debt.
The Parliament’s decision was especially strange considering that the world is currently entering the worst economic downturn that it has seen in the last century as a result of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
“Could have gone to pensions, but Somalia is more important than old people who have worked all their lives and paid huge sums in taxes,” one critic of the decision commented on Twitter.
The payment will be made by Sweden’s Riksbank, which is the country’s central bank. The proposal submitted to the Swedish Parliament, which was been made available on its official website, justifies the move by claiming that Somalia has been unable to take out new loans from the IMF “for a long time” because the African country hasn’t been making its debt or interest payments.
The proposal also says that Somalia’s inability to repay its IMF debt has prevented it from getting access to other forms of aid and loans, which in turn has negatively impacted the country’s economy.
Somalis are one of Sweden’s largest immigrant communities. It has been estimated that there are currently 60,000 Somalis living in Sweden, many of them in Rinkeby, a Stockholm suburb which has been dubbed “little Mogadishu.” Last year Mona Walter, a Somali woman living in Sweden who was raised as a Muslim but then rebelled against her upbringing and converted to Christianity, predicted that in fifty years, if present trends continue, Sweden will become fully Islamicized, both demographically and culturally, as previously reported by Voice of Europe.

Netherlands: Incidents at asylum centers increased by 30 percent in 2019

The number of incidents at asylum centers in the Netherlands have more than doubled from 8,000 in 2015 to more than 17,000 last year, according to government documents.
In 2019, incidents of hunger strikes, fights, and arson at asylum centers increased by 30 percent compared to the previous year, Dutch daily evening newspaper NRC Handelsblad reports, citing a document from the Ministry of Justice and Security.
The striking uptick in incidents has occurred despite the number of asylum seekers having declined from 47,700 at the height of the migrant crisis in 2015, to 27,400 last year.
The Ministry of Justice and Security attributes the trend to the increased proportion of asylum seekers less likely to be accepted – migrants from safe countries like Morocco, Algeria, and Nigeria. Figures show that migrants from safe countries who have less of a chance of being granted asylum are overrepresented in incidents.
Recently, a survey of 2,800 employees working at Dutch asylum centers revealed that more than half had been subjected to intimidation, name calling, and threats. One out of six had been physically assaulted, while one in twelve had been sexually harassed.
The number of crimes committed by asylum seekers living in the Netherlands also sharply increased in 2019, up nearly 30 percent from the previous year, Voice of Europe reported. Migrants from safe countries like Algeria and Morocco made up sixty percent of the of criminal asylum seekers in 2019.

“The European Union faces a repeat of the migrant crisis as the global coronavirus shutdown continues to weigh on African economies, the EU police agency said in a report on Friday.
“Prolonged economic instability and the sustained lack of opportunities in some African economies may trigger another wave of irregular migration towards the EU in the mid-term,” Europol said.
While the economic impact of the pandemic in Europe is expected to be significant, the damage to economies in developing countries is likely to be even more profound, it predicted.
Demand for cheap labour, particularly in the agricultural sector, is predicted to drive human trafficking, while prolonged closure of establishments offering legal sex work may increase sexual exploitation of trafficked women from Nigeria and eastern Europe.
Depending on the duration of air travel restrictions, people smugglers are predicted to shift their activities to land and sea routes.
“This will most likely have implications on the Western and the Eastern Mediterranean routes. Some migrants might also alternatively opt for the long and risky crossing from Senegal, Mauritania or Western Sahara to the Canary Islands,” the report read.
More small boats will be used to cross rivers and the English Channel. On land, preference will be given to freight vehicles and cargo trains.
Migrant smuggling and human trafficking are expected to become more clandestine, with people likely to be moved in smaller groups. Europol said Turkey is also expected to get more subtle about its attempts to push migrants over the Greek border.”

“PROTESTORS who set fire to the European Union flag in Germany will face a prison sentence or fine after the Bundestag expanded existing laws.
German MPs voted for a bill by the Federal Council introducing an additional passage into the criminal code which means defaming the EU flag and anthem will be punishable. Until now, fines or imprisonment could only be imposed if state symbols of the Federal Republic of Germany were disfigured or abused.
Violations of the new regulation can – in line with the existing prohibitions – be punished with a custodial sentence of up to three years or a fine.
The regulation also includes destroying, damaging or defacing the EU flag and attempts to do so.
If other flags are burned, for example during demonstrations, the penalty requirement that Germany maintains mutual relations with the other state and that the Federal Government must have authorized criminal prosecution does not apply.
Federal Justice Minister Christine Lambrecht (SPD) said: “The burning of flags in public has nothing to do with peaceful protest.
“It stirs up hate, anger and aggression and hurts the feelings of many people.”
The SPD had spoken out in favour of protecting the Israeli flag after it was set alight at a demonstration in Berlin in 2017.
With the decision to extend the law there is now uniform criminal protection for foreign flags and the symbols of the European Union.
The right-wing anti-EU Alternative for Germany (AfD) party opposed the new punitive provision on the EU symbols.
In an amendment, which was rejected by a large majority, they spoke of “excessive interference with freedom of expression and art”.
The move comes at a time of heightened tension within the bloc and a marked rise in anti-German sentiment as member states failed to get to grips with a united stance to tackle the coronavirus crisis.
Italy, which still bitterly resents its treatment by Brussels at the height of the Mediterannean migrant crisis, once again felt it was left to deal with an emergency on its own.
Opinion polls in the country showed record levels of dissatisfaction with the EU and even long-standing supporters of Brussels openly questioned its effectiveness in the face of a major international crisis such as the coronavirus pandemic.

“Religious leaders in South Asian communities are failing child sexual abuse victims as their cultures are ‘shrouded in secrecy, shame and denial’, an inquiry has heard.
The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) heard how victims of sexual abuse in minority communities are sometimes married off to their abusers to protect the reputation of their family and the community.
The inquiry heard evidence as part of the child protection in religious organisations and settings investigation branch of the probe.
On Friday, evidence was heard from organisations which support victims of gender-related violence in black, Asian, and minority ethnic (BAME) communities, particularly from South Asian countries.
Giving evidence via conference call, Pragna Patel, director of Southall Black Sisters (SBS), said attempts to engage with religious leaders have been difficult, as some were reluctant to signpost SBS services to their congregations.
Her views were shared by Natasha Rattu, executive director of Karma Nirvana, a Leeds-based charity supporting victims of honour-based violence and forced marriage.
‘We understand they would be far more effective at drumming home the messages that we want to bring into the community than we are,’ Ms Rattu told the inquiry.
‘There’s a real reluctance in doing that.’
Sadia Hameed, director of Gloucestershire Sisters, said affiliation with religious organisations would make it ‘uncomfortable’ for victims to come forward.
All three said there was an expectation in some South Asian communities that victims be married off to their abuser to hide the sexual abuse that has taken place.
When asked why victims did not report abuse to religious organisations, Ms Hameed said there was a lack of confidentiality and a fear that the information could leak into the community, where faith leaders are ‘intertwined’ with local businesses and groups.
Ms Rattu said: ‘Religious institutions are not necessarily gate-openers for children to openly disclose and talk about abuse, they are gatekeepers to hide the abuse and keep it under the carpet, so as not to affect the reputation and status of a family, individual or community.’
Her concerns were echoed by Ms Patel, as she explained how mediation is ‘extensively practised’ in South Asian communities, where a community elder, usually a religious figure, would bring the victim and abuser together to reach an informal settlement.
‘What we are talking about here are cultures that are shrouded in secrecy, shame and denial,’ Ms Patel said.
On the issue of child marriages, Ms Rattu said religious marriages, which are not registered, acted as a ‘breeding ground’ for sexual abuse of under 16s.
She said: ‘There’s an incredible onus on the child to bring those cases forward, because these cases are invisible, there’s no registering or regulation of those marriages.’
Evidence was heard of the use of exorcisms to justify child sexual abuse, where faith healings and rituals are practised on people to ‘get them back in line’.
Ms Patel referred to one case where a man purporting to be a religious scholar made a young girl have sex with another man while he watched ‘in order to divest her of her homosexual feelings’.
The latest phase of the IICSA is looking at how child protection is handled in religious organisations and settings in England and Wales.
These include British Judaism, Islam, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Baptists, Methodists, Sikhism, Hinduism, Buddhism and non-conformist Christian denominations.”

“Finland’s border police have uncovered a migrant smuggling ring based in Sweden and the UK that used other people’s passports as well as fake documents to smuggle migrants into the UK.
The investigation into the group began in January when a Swedish citizen and a Kuwaiti national were apprehended at Helsinki-Vantaa airport, with the latter found to have been using the passport of another individual.
Finnish investigators found the Swedish national had been to Finland previously and was suspected of smuggling two other migrants to the UK using third-party passports in the same way, broadcaster YLE reports.
According to investigators, the group charged around €8,000 to get migrants into the UK, and one of the Swedish men had made a false identity and applied for asylum in the UK to disguise himself while carrying out his smuggling.
Europol, the European Union police agency, then became involved in the investigation along with Eurojust and coordinated raids of homes in both Sweden and the UK leading to the arrest of several of suspected migrant smugglers.
Despite the coronavirus pandemic and the strict lockdown measures in the UK, illegal immigrants continue to flow into the UK prompting Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage to label the recent increase “the beginning of an invasion.”
Prior to the lockdown the UK saw more than double the number of illegal migrant arrivals in January and February on the previous year. Deportations, however, have lagged far behind with just 155 illegals deported since 2018 while 3,200 illegals arrived.
The bust of the migrant smuggling network comes just months after French and Dutch police dismantled another network, arresting 23 individuals who smuggled an estimated 10,000 Kurds into the UK.
The network is also said to have charged a high price for their services, as much as €7,000 per migrant and is believed to have profited greatly from smuggling, netting as much as €70 million overall.”
